Rick warned me,  but of course I didn't listen.  That time,  I was in way over my head and I can tell you that being immortal is less attractive when Alana keeps bringing up your mistake and rubs your face in it every time she gets the chance. But what can I say,  she was a beauty.  

I'm talking about Neesha of course.  

I'll never forget her and not just because Lana keeps reminding me, the she-devil. I hope she doesn't get her hands on this diary,  otherwise I'm screwed,  like that time I got involved with Neesha. And I mean literally.

It was in the forties, nineteen forties. I need to remember to mention the centuries.  We were back in London and I had been able to get my life,  or existence, to be exact,  back on track after,  well,  you know,  Belle.  

I had been thinking.  I couldn't go through any of that again, losing a loved one.  I'd had a hard enough time before Belle,  dealing with the fact that you will always outlive your loved ones,  but losing Belle hit hard, as you are well aware,  because I've written diaries full of my laments.  

So,  I had a plan,  a brilliant one.  I had the perfect solution.  I would get myself a female vampire companion,  who would never leave me and I would have eternal happiness.  Neesha was going to be just that. Or so I thought.

In the first half of the 20th century,  we moved around from New Orleans to New York,  and finally back to London. After the war, London was a mess. The city was severely damaged and even though our neighborhood wasn't spared,  The Mayfair,  our mansion,  was.  We moved back for a while to keep an eye on things and make sure that it remained our house. People who lost their homes during the bombings of London were being relocated to abandoned houses and we needed to make sure that our mansion was not going to be taken over by others. 

Fortunately for me,  even though the city was damaged and the people were recovering from the war,  there were always parties to be found.  Especially for us vampires. 

As you can imagine,  I was spending as much time as I could attending as many parties as I could.  I was determined to find that vampire companion and never be sad again.  

Neesha was a gorgeous goddess, who stood out amongst the crowd like a shining star in the dark night sky,  quite literally,  with her shiny jewelry and extravagant silver dress.

I can't even remember how I got there,  to that party,  but I will always remember the sight of her and how I,  half intoxicated,  chatted her up and actually managed to get her undivided attention.  

As said,  Rick had warned me not to get involved with her. He had an eye for 'trouble', but,  you know,  I had my plan and this scrumptious woman was going to fit that perfectly.  

To this day I'm still not sure if she was playing with me,  like a cat with her prey,  or if I had enamored her with my charm.

By the end of the night, having abandoned Rick and Alana, I found myself in Neesha's arms, or in hindsight,  claws,  in what seemed to be a former hotel somewhere in the city.  She had made the hotel her home  and the top room,  with a huge skylight,  was her den.  

I don't know how many times we fucked, but it seemed like we did nothing else for days.  It was like I was under her spell and I couldn't get free and I am man enough to admit that my dick actually hurt! 

You know,  as vampires,  we recover quickly,  also on that front,  but after Neesha,  I was about ready to be celebate for the rest of my immortal life. 

At some point,  I must have seen the light and realize that I wasn't ready to have my existence ended by sex.  Even if death by sex sounds pleasant enough.  So,  I ran and didn't look back and my not so brilliant plan of getting a vampire companion went out the door with me.  I didn't stay celibate of course,  but those are stories for another time. 

Anyway,  I'm not sure why I wrote down this memory.  Maybe it's because Ames was fishing for embarrassing stories from the past and I didn't really want to confess all this to her.  Or maybe it's a way of letting go. Now if only Alana could do the same. 

Time to say goodnight for now and hide you well,  my dear diary.  I'm ready to join my sweet Ames in bed, cuddle up to her and make pleasant memories.

My OCs as angels

Inspired by @ceruleancattail and their TCG thing.

Here, for some more context.

Now, would my children be fallen angels? Yes. But some would be normal angels and others would be guardian angels.

Since I have more OCs on the way, this will be updated. I have a problem.

Now, let's get into it.

Sarah Collins/Kingscholar:

A regular angel.

Might even be a guardian angel, but she's too young for that according to Heaven's rules.

Anyway, her curiosity about the human world made her fall. Well, it was actually one of the causes.

The God was kind enough to send the little angel to explore the human world to satisfy her curiosity. But she had a month to do so or she'd lose her wings, as a lack of better term.

And she was sent off in her human disguise to explore.

But the child was kidnapped during her investigation which made her stay forcibly prolonged. (Yes, getting kidnapped is also in Original!Sarah's backstory. I just forgot to add it.)

Yeah, she's not an angel no more.

Losing her angel privileges wasn't a pleasant feeling. It's quite the painful experience.

She escaped from the kidnappers and went looking for help. Help did indeed come.

She's now living with her new family.

Quinn Francis Johnson:

A guardian angel in training.

They're a fast learner, so they quickly got their human to watch over.

They don't like the human. At all.

Thought about going down there and giving him a piece of their mind numerous times, but held back. Guardian angels are supposed to protect humans, not hurt them.

That was until he said he said something unacceptable.

Screw the rules, he's catching those hands.

Yes, they lost their angel privileges.

It's painful, but homie has a worryingly big pain tolerance, so they're fine. Sort of-

Has no regrets. Would do it again.

At least life in the human world gives them the freedom they never knew they needed.

Beatrice Dawn O'Kelly:

Guardian angel.

Was assigned to watch over a very sweet child.

Of course she wouldn't break the rules. I mean, she's such a good girl.

Well, until she saw the precious child get hurt.

Mama Bear Mode: On

Got down faster than you can say "Angel"

Obviously lost her wings, but it's worth it if you ask her.

Now she works a caretaker in an orphanage. The kids love her.

The child she watched over is also an orphan, so...

Yeah, the two are pretty close.

Rosemary Autumn Nathara Moon:

Regular angel.

Same reasons as Sarah.

Wanted to explore, was allowed to for a limited period of time, but got kidnapped.

Here's the difference though: Rosemary got kidnapped for scientific reasons.

Didn't want to hide her wings and wore them as a cape. Or said it was part of a costume.

Yeah, that was a mistake. Especially when she could feel a feather being plucked out. Girl literally flinched.

Losing her wings was one of the many painful things she's been through.

She got released after a certain period of time.

Her appearance being altered is inevitable along with the name change.

Doesn't think she belongs in Heaven after this anyway, so Nathara doesn't make it a big deal. She does. Petty as hell about it

dillon -- march 27! aries bb. even when daisy's having her zombie issues, she still likes celebrating with her sister, and obviously cheryl would be distraught if she didn't get to spoil her little dilly pickle on her special day

atria -- betrayal, like. she doesn't trust easy so the second you break that, she's gone. she doesn't tend to form deep attachments very often, so she lets go pretty easy most of the time

quinn -- she's got a long fuse, but stringing her along, maybe? using her. she has a hard time letting go of people though, even the ones that she's cut out

dillon -- getting between her and her family. she also doesn't trust easy and tends to shrug off people that are out of her life

zadimus -- when the mutual benefit fizzles out. if he's not getting something out of it, he's really not... interested in maintaining a relationship, platonic or otherwise.

🔫 PISTOL - do they trust people easily? how easily will they turn their back to someone? have they been backstabbed before? will they betray someone if given an ultimatum?

atria -- 3/10 ease of trust, good luck ever seeing her back. she's been betrayed before, but once you've gained her loyalty, she's loyal as shit until you stab her back first. even then, she's really not the betrayal type.

quinn -- 8/10 ease of trust, won't turn her back to a stranger though. she hasn't been backstabbed, but she has been hurt pretty bad, and she's not the betrayal type.

dillon -- 5/10 ease of trust, doesn't give her back to many people, hasn't been backstabbed so much as she's been bullied to hell and back, and she's not the betrayal type.

zadimus -- 3/10 ease of trust, won't give his back to anyone except for like. three people in history, has been betrayed, would sell you to satan for a single corn chip, but once he's loyal (rare), he's loyal.

🌪️ TORNADO - what is the biggest change you've ever made to them? how have they changed from their original version?

atria -- her original iteration was a spectre trainee, so big change there.

quinn -- i don't think she's actually changed at all? she's had the most consistent characterization

dillon -- no changes!

zadimus -- also no changes!

atria -- she burrows in bed and keeps her space super cold so she can have like. a ton of pillows and blankets and fishdog and--

quinn -- she has a nice singing voice 🥺 like maybe it's not the fluffiest headcanon (is it a headcanon if they're my own ocs?) but quinn singing lullabies to atria lives rent free in my head ok

dillon -- secretly likes being picked up, like. a lot.

zadimus -- serial snuggler, but also likes. you know when birds are in a bird bath? that. but in the rain and shower.

YESSSSSSSSS MY SON!!!

So, Veturas is the god alt of an old OC of mine named Miles. This AU, as you can tell in my bio for him, is one I share with @celestial-narwhal and @shining-gem34 (as well as others who don't rp on tumblr)!

The TLDR about Veturas is that he's the deity of winter, and you may see references to him from my other fandomless OCs (this being Halfling!Quinn and Osyss -- Touched!Quinn and Vaara have no relation to my gods). I've talked a bit about him before so I'll discuss some aspects of his background and lore. He's an Abyssal God -- that is, those born of the Abyss, a primordial entity of darkness and corruption that lurks within the Underworld that is also called the Soul-Eater and is lesser known by its true name, Abythes. The Abyss has also corrupted other gods through proximity or residence in the Underworld, leading to their association with it. @shining-gem34's Mallory is one such example! The other true Abyssal Gods are his older brothers -- he's the youngest of three, I believe. The pantheon is very big and involves a lot of my friends, it's also a little outdated asfgdhfjg. The other two are Omen, God of Fear and Nightmares, and Foley, God of Chaos. Unlike them, though, Veturas was borne of a surface dweller, and he is a far gentler god, one that is actually prayed to for blessings and protections.

He! hates his brothers. Veturas dislikes most of the other gods, actually. He's been spurned by several for a multitude of reasons, including but not limited to attacking him, competing for the favor of his now-wife, playing cruel tricks on him, causing a mess of his domain. He's all but withdrawn from the Pantheon as a result, and instead sleeps during the spring, summer, and autumn months to avoid them all as much as he can. The last time he was awake for an extended period of time was when his eldest brother Omen attacked him, trying to kill him in his sleep and blinding him in the process. The injuries caused Veturas' darkest powers to leech out, casting the world in an extended winter as he wandered, blind, and cursed the others who would not help him. Only when his wife managed to reach him, with the aid of the gods of medicine and life, and give him new eyes with which to see, did the eternal storm subside. Now, Omen is encased in a prison within the underworld of Veturas' making, but it's likely not long until he finds a proper way to escape and enact his revenge to kill Veturas once and for all and consume his powers.

Their favorite trip (if they've ever been on one): When he and Dawn were younger, their parents saved up for the trip to the Alps in the wintertime. It was practically paradise for little Ryan and he never forgets about it.

What they would name their future child (even hypothetical ones): As much as he loves and wants to honor his parents, I think he'd pick their names as middle ones. I think he would name a daughter Quinn or Dawn because he believes in honoring those he loves. A boy I think he'd give a name with a hopeful meaning to it.

Their favorite season: Winter and Autumn

Rae loves the cold, it reminds her of home. She grew up in the Scottish Highlands, so she's used to cold winters with plenty of snow. Even as an adult, she still loves the snow!

Robin dislikes it mainly on circumstance. For one thing, cold temperatures mean she can't just walk around barefoot, which means she can't use her mutation as a hearing aid as easily. And before living in the X-Mansion, she lived in New York - which means a lot of snow that turns to gross slush from all the cars, not too pleasant. I think she gets more of an appreciation for it once she moves away from the city though.

Madison's fine enough with winter overall, but she hates being cold (particularly after being sent into torpor when she was captured). But hey, the cold just gives her an excuse to snuggle up to Alex, so she can't hate it too much.

Ophelia's pretty neutral about it. She grew up in NYC, so she's used to cold winters, but was never really charmed by winter either. It is what it is.

I think Indie just enjoys any climate that's not just recycled air inside a Star Destroyer. Corellia was too polluted to have particularly distinct seasons either, so I think she'd just appreciate any planet with a clean enough atmosphere to have multiple seasons.

Katherine and Jasper get a two-for-one since they both grew up in the South and never really experienced particularly harsh winters. I think they're comfortable with the milder winter cold where they're from, but wouldn't enjoy the more severe winters in the North.

Quinn grew up in London, so she's used to mild, wet winters instead of harsh chills. They don't really enjoy the rainy side of it (she's got a lot of leather, hair gel, makeup, etc. that would be ruined by the rain), but they don't mind the chillier temps.

And Kestrel loves winter, regardless of how cold it is. That's also mainly on circumstance - they live on basically a wilderness preserve, so winters are pretty picturesque - but really they love all the seasons, at least when they're able to appreciate their natural form (i.e. not snowy slush in a city or raked-up-perfect desolate autumns in the suburbs)
