Discovering that all the men I looked up to viewed me as an object someone would attain.

My gender dehumanized me and made me dehumanize myself.

That’s the worst part; viewing yourself as an object for others pleasure because no one ever told me that my body was to serve myself.

so here’s my dilemma- so i don’t mine hunger pains (i’m actually starting to like them lol because they feel like a reminder that i’m doing well) but it’s the food cravings that kick my ass. i love sugar and it’s soooo hard to give it up. so when i feel hungry, i don’t mind. i can wait through it. but when i crave sugar, it’s like i lose all control and i eat. then i feel sooooo bad and hate myself. i’m not losing weight because of this. if anyone has some tips, or has been where i’ve been, please dm me.

S*xualizing minorites is not the activism y'all think it is.

I only ever see ppl calling plus size/fat ppl "sexy" "hot" but never beautiful, pretty, cute

With poc(especially black and Hispanic ppl)y'all name body parts you think are s*xually gratifying like you're ordering a family platter, and then treating every indigenous person like they're Disney's Pocahontas(No they don't ride on eagles!!!)

LGBTQIA ppl aren't seen as even ppl, just a bunch of stereotypes manufactured into an idea of what y'all think they are. The fetishization of trans ppl(especially the women) there's no reason you should ever be concerned about someone's genitals unless you're a gynecologist. The creepy obsession with treating gay ppl like forbidden objects that you must keep pursuing, mainly lesbians (THEY DONT LIKE YOU)

Women's rights, if you can only feel sympathy for women because you have women in your life then you don't actually support them. You should just have immediate sympathy because they are ppl not just because an ab*se victim has red hair so she reminds you of your little sister. If you're in an argument for women's rights and someone asks you a question like "why are women valuable?" You're response should NOT include: women being baby makers, or women being sexual partners. Women are humans which is why they are valuable.

And just the complete ignorance of treating mentally ill ppl like they're quirky characters and neurodivergent ppl like manic pixie dream plot fillers.

Support us because we're humans and we deserve the same amount of respect you get.

Don't s*xualize or fetishize because that contributes to dehumanization.

I had my tubes removed in June by the awesome man who delivered my children and actually let me attempt natural childbirth.

This doctor is trying to screw me over.

Told my doctor on Thursday that I'm planning to get my tubes tied soon because getting pregnant would absolutely 100% be the worst thing that could happen to me.

She was all for and excitedly told me that I could sign the consent forms right there and finish the rest later, I told her I had questions about recovery and the surgical process because my husband would be the one to help me after if I need it and he is disabled.

The moment I said "husband" she immediately and repeatedly told me to talk to my husband about it and that I "should have him get the snip".

I told her that we both want to have a procedure for sterilization because we want the lowest possible chance of pregnancy.

She wouldn't tell me anything about the surgery or recovery and no longer offered signing the consent forms. She told me literally 15 times I needed to talk to my husband.

Here's the best part, she changed my birth control to a LESS EFFECTIVE type and she didn't tell me that it will cause weight gain and mess with my period.

I didn't think I would still have to deal with shit like this in NY in 2023.
