I have had so many unanswered questions about Obey Me lore since I caught up to the Main Story and I can't wait for them to be (possibly) addressed in Obey Me! Nightbringer

Along with some newly sparked questions from the new MV, these include:

The Brothers' transitioning period between falling down and fully adapting to life in the Devildom (especially Satan)

The extent of Raphael's ruthlessness; especially right after the War

How Simeon got demoted from seraphim to archangel and how he was eventually assigned to look after Luke in the exchange program

How Simeon dealt with the loss of his brothers

More of Solomon's background; how he came to obtain the Ring of Wisdom, his pacts, his immortality, and assuming the role of being the guardian of the Human World

Solomon's involvement in the attic issue and what he was doing before the exchange program even started

Lilith.

Thirteen and Mephisto's significant roles (if any)

More of everyone's perceptions and relationship with Diavolo post-war

Barbatos and the depth of his duty

(And probably many more that I can't think of at the moment)

I absolutely love how this will most likely explore the darker side of Obey Me and its lore and the way I see it, this could be the devs' response to the fandom's pleas for more content and better writing, it has so much potential

However, it is said that the original game will still be running (not to mention that character-centric events have been introduced just recently)

And there's also Ruri Tunes, which is still in development

I hope that they can truly manage all these especially considering that OM!N is going to be released sometime this year (unless stated otherwise)

Just a question, for those from age 30 above, like do you still keep fanarts, fanfic, merchandises of your favorite fandom(s) even though you are disillusioned with life, busy with careers and spouses and children, working on whatever obstacles life throw at you and all that? Im in my early 20s and I keep a lot of fanarts, fanfic and snapshots in my folder and just suddenly think about this.

My thoughts on the AI art debate

I think what upsets me the most about the “AI art vs artist” thing is that AI users don’t understand why we’re upset, or at least don’t understand what the main issue is.

You can argue back and fourth over ai lacking soul or heart and argue about technological advancements all you want, but you can’t deny this: someone’s intellectual property is being stolen and sold without their knowledge and, most certainly, without their consent.

In a culture that hates plagiarism to the point that people get death threats over tracing drawings, I find it hard to understand why straight up theft is being forgiven and implored.

(Of course this isn’t always the argument artists make, people have many different upsets and concerns over it because people are different and feel different things, but their feelings are still valid.)

And for the argument of “if you didn’t want it being stolen you shouldn’t have posted it” falls flat, because that logic proves moot when applied to a thousand other things “if you didn’t want your kid to trip on the sidewalk you shouldn’t have brought them outside” “if you didn’t want your boss to take credit for your idea you shouldn’t have said anything” or, maybe a more direct comparison, “Van Gogh shouldn’t have painted the Mona Lisa if he didn't want people to try to vandalize it”

Don’t blame people for the actions of others just because they wanted to share something they made. And let people be upset that something they’ve dedicated their lives to is being ripped from their hands. Someone being sad over the current state of their career is not valid reason to harass and belittle them

"Damn, it really had to start raining too?..." Wei Ying whined, his head falling onto his pile of books as he stared out the university's library window. That day really hadn't gone the way he had expected it to. He nearly missed his final project presentation because his car broke down halfway down the road, he left his wallet at home and had no money for food or coffee the whole day and he broke his phone screen as he dropped it running up the stairs for his class.

He was hungry, tired and sad, but he couldn't just go home and sulk with wine either. He had promised Lan Zhan they would be working together on their final project for their philosophy class, and he couldn't bail out on him again. Last time it had really been an emergency - A-Yuan had to go to the hospital - and Lan Zhan agreed to reschedule. Now, there were no more emergencies - Wei Ying's horrible day couldn't be called that, and they were nearing the deadline anyway. Lan Zhan would grow worried and anxious and Wei Ying would hate to ruin his day too.

So, the moment Lan Zhan showed up, carrying two coffees and some pastries from the bakery nearby, Wei Ying couldn't help a smile and accepted the treats gratefully before beginning to outline the main points of the project - and forgetting about his horrible day in the presence of his closest, dearest... friend.

(His day had been too terrible to think of how he actually had a serious crush on Lan Zhan too).

"No..." Wei ying replied, sheepish. "I took my car in the morning, thinking it'd shelter me from the rain, but it broke down, so..."

Lan Zhan frowned. Wei Ying laughed nervously. "It's fine, it's just some rain. It'll freshen up my hair!"

"Ridiculous!"

Thunder clapped into the sky and Wei Ying sighed as rain began pouring harder. "I'd better get going. Here's to hoping I don't get struck by lightning! With the day I had, it doesn't sound so far-fetched..."

But before he can step out into the rain, Lan Zhan grabs his wrist, his grip firm but still gentle enough for Wei Ying to have broken through it if he wanted. The point of contact had Wei Ying acutely aware of the warmth emitting from Lan Zhan's hand, and he hoped his cheeks didn't turn red.

"Wei Ying. Take this." And Lan Zhan handed him his own umbrella.

"What about you? You'll get soaked and catch a cold!"

"Won't you?"

"I don't get sick easily. You can't just go out there in the rain! I'm not going to let you!"

"I won't either."

"Lan Zhan!"

"Wei Ying."

"Oh my God, just kiss already!" Wen Qing shouted, walking past them.

They both turned red and in the stupor of the moment, the umbrella was dropped.

"Would it be okay...?" Lan Zhan asked, unsure, hopeful. "Would it be okay if I kissed you?"

Wei Ying's eyes widened, feeling his face heat up in such a way that it would have been impossible to hide. "Y-Yeah, yeah, I think it would."

"Can I?"

Unconsciously, Wei Ying took a step forward. Lan Zhan met him halfway.

A strong gust of wind blew away the only umbrella between them.

Looks like they'd both have to walk through the rain after all.
