hard launch

”… and shoutout to Lando Norris because he's gonna be taking it off for me tonight”

pairing: lando norris x reader!photographer (she/her) summary: y/n hard launching her relationship with lando during an awards show wc: 1.4k warnings: none note: all creds to nicki minaj iconic quote hehe and also this is my first text ever so feel free to give feedback :) not a native english speaker!

y/n was a somewhat known photographer in the f1 community. if you asked a member in the paddock what motorsport photographers they knew they’d probably say Kym Illman or y/n y/l/n because they were the most noticeable around the f1 paddock. she was an outgoing beautiful girl and a true spreader of joy, you could almost say that she was the photographers daniel ricciardo. through the years of being in motorsports she had gained lots of friends but in the past months she had found a deeper connection to one of the drivers, lando norris.

they’d always been good friends, she and lando, but somewhere along the line their interactions had started to become more and more flirtatious. one thing led to another during the afterparty of the last gp of the season and they had now spent all of the winter break together. y/n and lando had travelled around the world during the break and somehow lando had an unusual amount of pics to upload to instagram during his world trip? maybe bc he had a professional photographer with him. the fans however didn’t notice this, they were just delighted over the frequent uploads from all of the corners of the world.

during their trips it was easy to keep a low profile because they were always a part of a big group people traveling together. but when they were back at lando’s flat in monaco it became harder to hang out in public together without rumors spreading. they both were quite secure in their relationship to one another but they didn’t know how their managers and fans would take the news. they’d either hate it or love it. and if fans were to love it, y/n knew that they couldn’t escape at least some hate, that was just part of being public and especially with a beloved driver like lando. it didn’t help either that y/n remembered the hate that lando’s ex luisa got when they were together and though it could appear that y/n had a though shell she was afraid that it would be tough on her. at the end of the day she was ’just’ a photographer and didn’t receive a lot of hate, and if she received any it was mostly about her work and not about her personally. that’s why this whole public relationship would mean a huge readjustment for her and that’s why they kept it a secret for a little bit longer.

at the end of winter break y/n was sunbathing in the garden of lando’s flat when she received an email with an invitation to a british motorsport award. she was nominated in the category photographer of the year and wow she couldn’t be more excited!! finally a confirmation of all the hard work and many years photographing motorsport. she was quick to run inside the house to tell lando the exciting news, where she was met with huge support and also the news that lando too was nominated in a category! y/n felt a relief that she would have her emotional support with her during a nerve-racking event like this.

lando was used to getting dressed up in designer clothes and going to awards but for y/n this was a whole new territory. since lando knew about this and that y/n was quite insecure about these things he wanted to help her as best as he could. before heading to britain for the awards they together went out shopping for a dress in monaco and even got it custom made to fit perfectly for y/n. this was absolutely not in y/n’s price range but lando insisted because he wanted her to feel really special on this rare occasion. y/n had always seen how caring and loving he was but these last months together had really shown her that he’d do anything for her, which was something she’d never experienced. y/n’s heart was so full of all the love she received.

it was the day of the awards and y/n and lando were at a hotel nearby getting ready when y/n was starting to feel anxious and wanting to call the whole thing off. ”this dress is too much, i can’t wear this! people will think i’m full of myself, who am i to wear versace?? i’m a farm girl not a superstar. AND what if i don’t win? it’s going to look terrible if i show up in this only to go home without an award” y/n panicked. lando sat beside her soothing her whilst stroking her back. ”y/n/n you don’t have anything to worry about, you will look absolutely stunning in the dress and who cares what anybody else thinks? this is your first time to really shine so let’s go and make the most of it otherwise you will regret it” lando comforted her. y/n tried her best to keep the tears in to not ruin her makeup, the nervousness really got to her but lando knew exactly how to make her feel safe and a bit more relaxed about the situation.

y/n was stood in front of the hotel room mirror whilst lando was closing the zipper to her tailored black dress. when he looked in front of the mirror ahead y/n could see his jaw drop. lando was mesmerized over the girl in front of him, her eyes sparkled like never before and her height seemed to have increased from the confident posture. and she felt it too, the confidence, she felt truly beautiful which rarely happened. lando could only smile and gently kissed her bare shoulder ”we look like a badass couple” he chuckled. y/n felt a tingle through her body and smiled at the thought of them being a couple.

to keep a low profile they decided to take different taxis to the awards. y/n felt butterflies in her stomach walking the red carpet whilst seeing lando only meters away looking like the most handsome man she’d ever laid her eyes on. it was even more exciting knowing that no-one of the other people on the red carpet knew about their relationship, it was their little secret.

the show went on with lando winning driver of the year and the loudest cheers could be heard from y/n’s direction. he held a short speech thanking the team and so on, making a few jokes a long the way because of course he hadn’t prepared anything which was typical him but she liked that about him. that in situations like these he could relax and just be himself. y/n on the other hand had her speech well prepared, if she were to win.

”and the award for photographer of the year goes to…”

y/n’s eyes locked with lando’s and he mouthed ”you got it” followed by a smile.

”… to y/n y/l/n!” the presenter almost shouted.

y/n was overwhelmed with the feeling of winning that for a moment she was left staring in disbelief. however after the woman sitting next to her gently nudged her arm she woke up again. the woman smiled to her and made way for y/n to walk up the stage. she straightened her postured and confidently walked with the biggest smile on her lips. once she was on the stage and was handed the award she held her well prepared speech about how tough it can be as a photographer in a male dominated sport and thanking her family and that kind of stuff. when the formal part of the speech was said she looked at lando that was admiring her from his seat. she continued whilst looking at him with a smirk ”i also have to give a shout-out to donatella versace for custom-making this dress for me…” people were cheering, ”… and shout-out to lando norris because he’s gonna be taking it off for me tonight”. lando dropped his jaw once again and his smile was the biggest in the room whilst the crowd cheered at the shocking statement. the cameras and crowd excitedly turned to him to whom he gave a cheeky wink and blew y/n a kiss.

a hard launch to say the least.

People who get defensive about Ganondorf’s characterization (or lack thereof) in ToTK seem to willfully misunderstand the criticisms we’re making about that game. Nobody’s demanding that Ganondorf have a “tragic backstory” that exonerates him or a “redemption arc,” we’re just asking for the bare minimum: a coherent motivation and some thematic relevance, that’s it. Also, maybe some actual dignity for the Gerudo, too, instead of them getting disproportionately shamed for the deeds of One Guy over ten thousand years ago.

It’s not like ToTK would have had to stretch very far to give Ganondorf that bare minimum, all the ingredients were already there: the Zonai mining activities in the Gerudo region, the “ancient evil” that existed before Ganondorf entered the scene, the Gerudo’s own archaeological site from where they investigated the Depths, etc. Just add like 2 – 3 more backstory scenes focused on developing Ganondorf a little more, put some actual meat on the skeleton of a story we got in ToTK, and there you go.

The fact that some Zelda fans are so vehemently opposed to the bare minimum effort of writing for one of Nintendo’s most iconic villains is honestly baffling. The fact that they’re so opposed to Ganondorf having any semblance of humanity, that they’re apparently fine with Nintendo outsourcing the script for the highly anticipated sequel to one of their most successful games, absolutely bewilders me.

Like…this is definitely a combination of Modern Fandom’s extreme polarization and moral puritanism, plus the Zelda franchise containing conservative themes that a large part of the fandom seems to have internalized, and of course, good ol’ fashioned orientalism.

I’m inclined to mostly blame Modern Fandom because the way that people talk about villain tropes and “redemption arcs” and all that seems to overlap with “antishipper” nonsense. It’s like many young people nowadays are terrified of being judged for the “sin” of liking or relating to the designated Bad Guys, so they have to loudly and repeatedly proclaim that they are Good and Proper Christian Fans who engage with media in the Appropriate Manner, and denounce anyone who wants villains to be interesting or complex.

Even something like ATLA that recently had a revival is seeing Discourse like “Zuko should never have been redeemed bc he’s an evil colonizer, that teenage boy should have been executed instead!!!1! and Aang not killing Ozai at the end means that the writers are trying to excuse/defend genocide!!!1!”

I know it’s not most fans who have this kind of mindset, but dang, it’s getting more common.

Alex Keller SFW relationship headcanons

Since my first post on this man did good, here's some SFW relationship headcanons to feed your delusions 😀

No warnings on this one, folks. Was made with both masc and fem readers in mind, but some of the specific headcanons are leaning towards a specific gender.

Enjoy!

-Love languages are physical touch and acts of service. Loves giving + receiving touch, but feels more inclined to spoil you by doing things for you.

-Will do chores you despise if you're sick/tired. As much as you may insist it's fine and that you can do it, every once in a while you'll find your designated chores (as well as the ones Alex already does) finished.

-He passes out compliments like it's candy, and his words are honestly as sweet as it, too. So sincere with everything he says, no matter how self-conscious you may be, he'll do everything in his power to make you feel like royalty.

-A big fan of just relaxing with you. Y'all could be doing basically anything, whether it's watching TV or making food or cuddling, and no matter how mundane things may be, Alex would much rather just enjoy the simple moments and appreciate the time he's able to spend with you.

-Nicknames for you include: Baby (baby girl/boy/doll), sweetheart, sunshine, dolly, darling and the occasional love or sugar.

-I feel like he's a God at back massages. No particular reason why, he's just good at them.

-The inside jokes are top tier. The type of inside jokes you and Alex have are probably so ridiculous that to anyone besides you two, you guys look insane.

-Whenever he sees anything that reminds him of an inside joke y'all have, he'll literally have to place a hand over his mouth while snorting. Then he'll text you about it so fast he makes like 12 spelling mistakes.

-If you have a favorite animal, color, show, etc, you best believe he's going to go out of his way to buy you gifts of those things. He'll just come home one day with a plushie of your favorite animal with the widest grin on his face.

-"Look what I found at the mall! You still like bears, right?" (Totally didn't use bears as an example bc my favorite animal are bears..)

-Loves relaxing on your chest. Whether you're taller or shorter, it doesn't matter. Your chest = his pillow.

-Loves it when you run a hand through his hair or touch his facial hair. Also, please cup his cheek and give him as many kisses as you possibly can.

-Will MELT if you fall asleep on him.

-His favorite places to kiss you are the cheeks, forehead, nose and ofc the lips.

-Always has an arm around your shoulder or waist or holds your hand in public. He's not very possessive or anything, but he just feels the need to show you off. Its kinda like he's saying "Hey, look at the absolute eye-candy I scored." And he gets all smiley when someone compliments you.

-Favorite cuddling positions are spooning (he always insists on being the big spoon), or where you're practically on top of him and using his chest as a pillow (and vice versa).

-If you also want kids and can get pregnant, he's completely fussing over you the entire time. You're not allowed to lift a finger

-He'll also do the same if you're sick or on your period if you're afab.

-Once, while he was on deployment, you got sick and told him about it.

-"Aw, sunshine. I'm so sorry to hear that :(" is what his text said, before asking you exactly what you needed. Then boom, all of a sudden his mother pays you a surprise visit and makes you some soup. It's totally not like he asked if she'd be willing to check up on you or anything because he couldn't be there..totally not 🙃

-Also, I headcanon him to be a major mama's boy. Maybe he's got an older sister or two as well, idk.

-I feel like family is very important to him. As such, he's always dragging you over to see his family.

-Always getting you to play with any nephews/nieces he may have and when you do, he gets massive baby fever.

-Either way, I feel he's fairly knowledgeable on things like periods and such, which is probably why he's so good at taking care of you

-If you're amab and need some new clothes, he'll gladly go through his old ones and see if anything catches your eye.

-Will let you wear a shirt of his regardless of gender, though.

-He knows how much you love wearing his t-shirts and sweaters, regardless of if they fit you or not. So, one time while he was on deployment, he "forgot" a shirt at home and once he "realized" he'd "forgotten" it, he told you to keep it safe.

-"Alex? I think you left a shirt behind."

-"Thats alright, sunshine. I've got plenty of other clothes. Can you please keep it nice and warm til I get back?"

-Y'all always have a meal over FaceTime together when he's deployed.

-Whenever he sees something that reminds him of you, he sends you a text and a picture of said thing.

-And said thing is usually either really beautiful, like the sunset or a flower that caught his eye, or something really stupid like a pic of a weird looking cat from the internet or a giant rat he saw around base.

-"Saw the rat that's been terrorizing the base's kitchen today. Reminded me of you ❤"

-"Wtf"

-"Why would a rat remind you of me?"

-"Because it steals my food and leaves crumbs everywhere but is still pretty damn cute."

-"🖕"

-"Love you too, dolly."

-Def wants some sort of pet with you, especially a dog.

-If you're allergic to dogs, he'll try to get a hypoallergenic breed.

-Although he's certainly not opposed to most other pets! Prefers dogs to cats, but he still likes them, so if you would prefer a cat he's down to get one.

-Asks for pics of said pet while on deployment constantly.

-And when he's home, his entire camera roll is just filled with the goofiest pet pics.

-Such a bad cameraman when it comes to animals for no reason. Will make the most beautiful, expensive and well-groomed ragdoll cat look like a sewer rat with just one photo 💀

-Somehow takes amazing pics of you, though. Manages to make you look absolutely gorgeous/handsome everytime.

-Stays up late just chuckling at messages between you two on deployment. Does the same for pictures of you, too.

-When he returns home, though, there's barely a night where he's up past 11 pm, because you're there to cuddle him to sleep.

-Overall, Alex would just be such an attentive, loving partner. You, your safety, your family and making you laugh are his main priorities.

Kinda projecting in this bcs I don’t like dogs either at all, I’m lowkey scared of them 😢

You do not like going over to Tanjiro’s house at all.

Not that it was his house or anything about him. He’s such a sweetheart and always does his best to accommodate for you, and his house was really nice as well. Always super clean and everything was super organized as well. The only downside was the stupid dog that terrorized every person place or thing it came in contact with.

Everywhere it went it had way to much energy for almost any human, except tanjiro at least. It was much too big for its own good and still thought it was a lap dog at his big size. Super touchy as well always rolling around or trying to persuade somebody into petting it. Much to big, much to fur, much to friendly for your liking. Worse of all, that dog went everywhere with Tanjiro. It was pretty much his child at this point.

If you saw Tanjiro walking down the street near your house? He’s walking the dog. Going to the store? He’s buying something for his dog, and if they allow it the dog coming inside with him. Eating something? The dog has a designated seat at the table to eat with him to. Tanjiro is nearby? His dog is nearby to. The little parasiteー in your words would never go away.

Not to say you didn’t like animals or pets, you adored them to an extent. Especially cats. The much better pet option far superior than any dog could be that cat you had would beat Tanjiro dog for miles at anything. The little feline was so docile, couldn’t do anything wrong. Even Tanjiro enjoyed your cats presence, although he still tried to persuade you to give his dog a chance.

“I promise you he’s really not that bad, he’s just super friendly can you blame him?” Tanjiro ask while following you into the kitchen while you go prepare yourself a snack. “I really can blame him.” you reply without a second thought as your eyes drift back into Tanjiro. “Dogs are just.. ew nothing good about them.” The boy sighs while grabbing something for himself. “C’mon he doesn’t even bite.. he’s so nice!”

He’s really trying his hardest to get you to connect with his dog. He knows you’ve never been a fan of any dogs specifically, and maybe his just is a breed you hate more than others. He still has some hope for you, you gotta at least warm up to the idea of it! Besides his dog already loves you anyways you gotta show some love back right?

On your side of the story nothing Tanjiro could really say would sway your opinion. You’ve seen that dog and you seen how big it is and that’s already one to many signs for you. You have a witness and somebody else on your side at the same time! Tanjiro’s little sister, Nezuko. She’s even told you some of the problems with the dog they own! “Very big, very friendly to! To friendly sometimes..” is what she says and that’s all the evidence you needed. Though she does still take Tanjiro side most of the time.

The boy only sighs once again before an idea comes into his mind. He turns to look at you once more before shuffling beside you, Your cat trailing behind him. He stares up at you biting back a smile that would reveal his intentions. “Could you at least come over this weekend? My dog is going to be gone for two weeks for training, unfortunately..” he says, trailing off on the last part to grab your attention. You only turn your head once you hear the words “dog” and “gone” leave his lips.

You blink for a moment before a smile appears on your lips at his idea. “Sure, but only because the dog isn’t here alright.” you announced as a big grin is plastered on Tanjiro’s lips as his excitement comes to a peak. His arms wrap around you bringing you into a hug as you hug him back. Laughing at how much excitement he was showing.

It’s to late when you realize he was lying to you completely.

The weekend rolls around and you stand Infront of Tanjiro door. It’s a breath of fresh air being able to visit him once again. You knock on his door and can hear his footsteps coming down the stairs. The door swings open as Tanjiro invites you inside and you’re quick to step in. You almost forgot how nice his house looked after being away for so long, it was nice to enjoy seeing it again. Taking off your shoes you give Tanjiro a hug as he shows up all the new decoration he’s put in his living room.

You stare at everything as you admire the room. Almost missing Tanjiro’s words as he mutters a quick “be right back!” before disappearing somewhere inside of his house. You only continue looking knowing he’ll be back in a moment, staring at all the new pictures framed around the room and on the wall. You’re not fazed by the pitter patter of footsteps coming down from the stairs as you simply sit yourself back on the couch assuming it was Tanjiro.

To your dismay, it was not Tanjiro.

You only look up from a second when you don’t hear him walk over to the couch. Your eyes drift up only to see a patch of fur, and to your horror it’s his dog standing in the living room. You look at it for a long time, and it stares back at you for a long time. The dog is the first one to break eye contact and look away into the kitchen as you take the chance to look away as well. Maybe Tanjiro did bring it to training and it will just walk away. Maybe it can sense your “I don’t want you near me at all” energy and walk away from you. Just maybe.

The dog doesn’t follow any of your theories one bit as it soon charges at you. Jumping onto the couch and nearly onto your lap if you didn’t stand up quick enough. Irritation quickly creeps up to your throat as you’re only able to yell out “TANJIRO!” To hear him snickering around the corner. His dog doesn’t make it any better as it rubs and circles around your leg.

Well, you won’t be coming back to his house anytime soon.

Yesterday i saw the new MLB special, bc everyone was praising it, and man, its actually good. Not the awesome sauce ppl are saying, but good. Here are my opinions on it:

The positives

They actually made a good design for Gabe which holy shit fucking finally. Seriously why did it took this long for them to make a good outfit for this man, dude is a fashion designer, he has more sense of asthetic than most.

I finally liked Marinette (evil version), the special made her have more depth than the 5 seasons of the show. Although i dont get why the always put the same accent(?) When making a villain girl. Just wish they kept her evil outfit to the end.

Adrien finally has some emotion towards his parents. Like, Adrien is a good character idea, but him being written as just a "nice boy" is annoying, we dont really see the effect of his mom's death and father's abuse that much. Im glad they showed not only that but why Adrien acts that way in the show (even if the show portrays it like trash)

The negatives

Why the poorly portrayed emo looks? Like i get it, our protags have to be more evil looking, but c'mon...Adrien looks so goofy. They could have portrayed evilness and trauma some other way, one that didnt look so stupid. Like, emo doesnt mean evil...

The alternative reality looks better and more developed than the original, maybe bc thomas and co didnt have more episodes to fuck it up. But they stablished SO much more interesting lore in smth that was barely shown and just spoke about in one special than they did in a 6 season cartoon. It just shows how trash the pacing and writing of the show is.

Why couldnt they be bothered to develop their characters in the show? Like, the development in the special was so good, so they CAN in fact write smth decent, but how come they cant do that in the main show??

They still gave more attention to mari then Adrien, even in the evil version she got more moments

Overall, if they ever turn it into a series, please for the love of god dont let Thomas and his posse in the writing room, in fact, don't let them near the studio. Someone needs to make him give up his creative rights for the show bc I know many fans far younger than him can do this so much better

do you make your bed? typically no. I mean, I'll pull the sheets up so that it looks kind of okay but that's about it.

what's your favourite number? i don't think i have one 🤔 but I've always preferred odd numbers.

what is your job? working with kids part-time at an after school! we get to play games and go outside and do art. on thursdays I dance with them. it's a good time :)

if you could go back to school, would you? mmm. maybe! (but it wouldn't be with the intention of going into a that new field—I just like to learn and also enjoy school lol.) I was just talking the other day about how there's so many things I would've loved to study that I didn't go for or only discovered later. Like film! I want to know how to film things and have them look super professional for my personal fan projects.

can you parallel park? nope. never learned how and haven't had a chance to continue practicing driving bc... life. i'm still on my learners permit 🙃

a job you had that would surprise people? not sure what would be surprising honesty! But uh, I used to do website design for people.

do you think aliens are real? like... no but also yes? I think it's safe to assume that somewhere in the universe there could be life of some kind.

can you drive a manual car? nope

what's your guilty pleasure? wracking my brain and i literally can't think of something right now, i'm sorry

tattoos? nope! I like to change up my aesthetics too often for something that permanent asdfg. I stick with the occasional eyeliner tattoos or henna xD

favorite color? red!!! also blue. but I love most colors <33

favorite type of music? i listen to (most) any kind of music! just depends on what I feel like :)

do you like puzzles? like physical puzzle-piece puzzles? not really, I get a little antsy and don't have the patience for them! Unless it's a kids puzzle but then they're often too easy lol. BUT if we're talking mental puzzles, I love that. Like trying to code something and crack how to get a thing working... that's fun.

any phobias? i'm a bit afraid of heights. (not being high up in all situations, but specifically if there's a way to fall down. like sure I'll climb on top of things sometimes, but if it's too high or feels like there's an easy way to fall off then i get scared. sometimes kids try to get me to climb on the jungle gym equipment at work but this is simply not going to happen).

favorite childhood sport? horseback riding :)

do you talk to yourself? yes, but not out loud, just in my head. though a lot of the time it's actually fake conversations with other people or made up people. My brain makes up situations lol.

what movies do you adore? 'the lego batman movie', 'legally blonde'... when it comes to movies i'll watch over again it's usually the more feel-good type stuff

coffee or tea? tea! (I actively dislike the taste of coffee.) But also, I find tea very calming and it makes me happy! like, it's just so cozy!! especially if you have a little time for it, to make it a peaceful moment. boil the water, pick out a cup, sit with it all warm in your hands. rushed tea is not the thing.

first thing you wanted to be growing up? either being an actress or a teacher! :)

lastly, I just want to take the time to appreciate some of the more memorable images I’ve collected of his long hair. I personally think the resurgence of the style is in part due to TNBA’s look since that’s the general design I’ve seen that hair paired with lately, though whether that’s the case I’m not sure.

I’m a glutton for punishment so I paired that with TTG’s future episode nightwing. like a fine wine and moldy cheese, these two. but it’s a testament to TNBA’s potential and lasting influence.

look at that. that ponytail is dangerous. it’s violated the no-kill rule on its own. also loving the founding fathers look of the second panel in this batch. it curls at the end. how quaint. I am, however, going to be sick

comics also make fun of dick on a relatively consistent basis, which has also done its part in keeping the look alive. Nightwing #98 (the above panels) is from a little less than a year ago, so pretty recent! but times have changed and the luscious locks haven’t made the cut in recent comics.

me personally, I’m a fan of the curtain fringe/soft mullet look that’s become sort of the default in the past few years, but the long hair will forever be famous. how many times did he get yanked by that ponytail in a fight. how many times did it get stuck on something which in turn lost him crucial reaction time. it really was his coming of age haircut and I’ll split hairs about its history anytime. every hair pun in this cost me one year of my life

the fallout show is actually pretty enjoyable. maybe because I’m obsessed with the world and love the new perspective. and yes the props look like they’re from Amazon and the humor is a little “Reddit” for lack of a better term, but the plastic-y look and cringy humor matches the vibe of the games to be quite honest.

with the props/sets though it’s interesting, like they all have this cheapass look but also it’s clear a lot of care and detail were put into the set pieces/costuming, so it gives the vibe of like a YouTube skit where everything is super cheap but you’re like “wow this looks really good considering what they had to work with” except that this show had a fucking $153 million budget so it’s like. come on man.

I DO think that the sets are amazing, for the most part, even if the costuming and props leave something to be desired. like it’s clear that’s where most of the budget went.

I also appreciate that basically the whole cast is unknowns or up-and-comers rather than the marvel-starwars-disney Big Names Only casting that seems to be the only way mainstream media is cast. so that’s cool, I always love the potential for new talent to cut their teeth and get their big break. plus I hate seeing the same shitty fucking actors over and over again. if they’re good idc but like Scarlett Johansson or Jermey renner just suck. like they are not even good at the craft. even like Chris whatever the fuck who plays Thor has some genuine talent and can be enjoyable to watch, but so many of them are just so baaaddd.

the soundtrack is great, honestly, all the picks are bangers & I love the Johnny cash & I actually love the choice to use sound effects from the games in the sound mixing. it’s very fun. like again, cheesy, but it’s a cool design choice.

and like ultimately, that doesn’t really impact my enjoyment of it. all in all it’s so far above my expectations. I’ve been dreading it since it was announced bc I love fallout as a “mythos” (basically) and I did not think a nostalgia-bait fan service big budget mainstream major release could ever have any redeeming qualities so the fact that it’s “fun to watch” and “has a plot” is pretty neat.

also one of the brotherhood people is a they/them which I thought was neat. as of yet they have not gendered them at all like no “brother” or “girl” or “man” or “he/she” it’s been exclusively they/them or their name.

oh! speaking of the brotherhood, I like how they are portrayed. like they are fucked up clutists with a self righteous god complex and I think they’ve really shown that, rather than the brotherhood fanboys ‘fascism is awesome’ characterization that you see in the fandom. the main brotherhood guy having to deal with his idealistic idea of what the brotherhood “should” be versus what it is is intriguing and I’m excited to see more. also very excited to see more prewar stuff.

And so far my biggest complaint so far is the weird ass ghoul. like they make this big deal about him basically being a corpse and he looks like some dude got a bad sunburn. like with all the gore and horror elements I wish they would have made the ghoul look more.. you know.. like a ghoul.

some other little things i like are pomme having an apple beret and trumpet having blue hair and rainbow wings or shirt or other stuff like his propellor hat. walter bob is literally so fucking slay. there’s probs more but i can’t think of them rn

I only read JoJolion up to the part where there were zombies bcs after that + complicated ass Stands + Joshuu's existence I kinda fell off so PLEASE convince me to pick up reading it again bcs I wanna finish it

uhh idk what you mean by zombies unless you mean the Blue Hawaii arc? which personally is one of my fav arcs, its fun icky hehe

Im also partial to enjoying the stands in Jojolion, i think they have great layer of interesting abilities that felt easy to follow and enjoyable. they felt like a good return to form both with abilties and designs to me. i really liked them a lot

Joshu sucks, he just sucks and the best i can give you is that he isnt there a TON, he's got his mm 'ok' moments with Hato. but mostly he's just not there and when he is, its just unfortunate. i really cant give you more than that

I really REALLY loved the family in Jojolions, i think Jobin and Kaato and Tsurugi were such an excellent and specific dynamic that give such a impactful ugh everything.. their everything

and the ending (minus sadly joshu who plays a 'biggish' part) really just hits sooo hard

and Gappys whole character, his relationship to himself and everyone around him is so fucking good, its some of arakis greated character work. Like Araki has always been subtle with his characterization with in depth stuff where theres stuff there but not really explored or developed far, but i feel like since SBR forward arakis ability to DEVELOP and evolve characters and their stories has grown stronger by the parts.

Gappy as a character is AMAZIng, the Vitamin C arc, the story of Gappys background, Holly shits and everything gets me sO hard. I sometimes got teary in jojos but not much, the end of stone ocean made me cry, but jojolion? i cried so many times, i found the emotional impact so strong in it

the woman characters are also so good, i love Kaato so much and Jobin as a character stands so strong next to josukes for sure

Yasuho is also SO awesome, her and Tsuguris friendshup that develops is wonderful and her standing as her own character through the story with or without Josuke around is so awesome, girl swag so real again in jojolion

im also SUCh a fan of the horror aspect of the story, how much horror Araki referances in Jojolion is so good im personally a huge fan

idk!! i just really like it, but I also have to say, if your not enjoying it as far in as you are, maybe jojolion just isnt for you!

i say keep pushing through! your a good chunk of the way in and i think its worth reading!

Just wanna put a bunch of petty, angry thoughts down somewhere.

99% is gonna be Warhammer 40k cuz dear god have some things been bothering me for a bit!

I honest to god care so little about the primarchs it is insane. Like I don't hate them, nor do I think they're bad, and I do genuinely like some of them. My problem is most writing and anything specific has to do with 'omg konrad so hot!' or 'magnus is bae!' p much insert any primarch there and its the same thing. And I just sit there with a grimancing smile cuz I just don't care for them like that, they're interesting characters in their plots, but I don't feel any sort of obsession or compulsion to write more about them, their story is told in the setting and that's good. I really don't want to read the 200th shipping piece about them with each other or insert guilliman/yrvaine, or primarch/self-insert, they are nothing to me. I care leaps and bounds more about the space marine's themselves, more about their loyalty to their primarchs and how that makes many do things they never would have done otherwise. Like the butchers nail in the world eaters, stuff like that. But at least on AO3 fanfiction its so rare it might as well not exist.

I guess bold words coming from the writer of the horniest/most fucked up space marine fan fic on the site. But I am allowed to bitch.

Other thing I hate with AO3 warhammer fanfiction, though looks more general, is the fixation with cross-over writing. Like there at least 10 fics there that are warhammer 40k crossover with my hero academia of all things. Let alone the 50+ fandom crossover fics that are a chore to scroll past due to the length of their tags (thankfully that's mostly reduced thanks to the tag limit AO3 had to enforce). None of them offer anything new, or interesting, or really anything I find worthwhile to read. Most can be boiled down to 'we took academia characters and hastily jammed them in roles of the primarchs' or something else just as uninspired. and again, like you do you, but it's miserable having to scroll through most fics and except for maybe 1 or 2 they are all pretty much the same thing with different window dressing.

Also wish there wasn't a treat of woobifying chaos. Acting like they're secretly the real good guys. Aside from being resoundingly not based in canon even remotely, it removes why I love chaos so much. I'm not a fan of chaos cuz I think they'll make everything right, I'm a fan cuz they just wanna watch everything burn and do horrific shit. Maybe I am tired of being nice, maybe I do wanna go ape shit! That's the appeal, the catharsis of being something so horrific and beyond good, and loving every step of the way.

Also not a huge fan of the new thing being hating space marines as boring generic action heroes, which I do kinda get bc GW loves using them as poster boys. But I dunno, I've just related to space marines more than the guardsmen. Not that I've ever been in war or some of the horrors they face. But when I relate is the isolation and seperation from the average human, like I loved reading in one of the Ahriman books how a space marine sat in a human chair and how it struggled to not shatter, how it made at least me aware how the world is not designed for them. They're children who were taken at an extremely young age and honed into weapons to be wielded, and I love when we're reminded that they kinda still are and how they're dehumanized by the Imperium. While space marines get along decently with each other, they struggle to understand the average human, how technically they're still emotionally children who have been given extremely dangerous weapons. That despite being angels of death for the imperium some humans still see them as freakish mutants that are barely tolerable only because they are weapons.

Like I know its extremely childish of me, but I do feel a little upset, annoyed, etc when space marines get parodied as obnoxious, stupid, hyper-masculine action hero jokes. Like 'oh ho ho! Bad ass space marines have to have their cybernetics tended to by humans, just proves regular humans are so superior to dumb marines!' Like yeah, but do you not see how it can also reflect the level of trust these dehumanized potentially deeply repressed traumatized individuals have to have that they allow select humans to help them with their disability, something that space marines shouldn't have, at least according to propaganda. Or how war can irreperably change even someone who is now seen as a tool, or that space marines are seen as just as replaceable as the cybernetics that they are augmented with. LIke IDK, maybe I see too much of myself in fictional superhuman dudes, but it irks me to have them only be seen as either just cool (which I tolerate infinitely more) or as something that must be constantly parodied and treated as something to be derided as pathetic masculine fantasy (which I detest)

Soo Marcy aus! I don't know who made the expression sheets, but lets get into the aus! (See info below the cut on the aus!) ((also, if you have an au in this and don't want it, tell me and I can scribble/remove it out if you want!!))

A1, F1 and F7 (Orginal, Calamity (She go Blep!) and Adult) are all from the original show.

B1 (marky) is from the Fandom, while E7 (Darcy) is heavily inspired from the fandom.

C1, A7, and F2 aus, (Left behind, God and Cursed respectively) were designed by my friend. Left behind is well, being left in Amphibia. God is being a god and Cursed is based off my other expression sheet draw here.

C2 and B4 (Good ending and Bad ending) are both from my mini-series "what if"? comics I like to doodle in my sketchbook. Also D4 (beyond Amphibia) is another, (newer) part to my "What If-?" mini series. Its where the trio stay in amphibian and go to the new continent previously undiscovered.

D2 (amphibia as a child) is also very widely popular and I love it.

A3 and B7 (Swap!Sasha and Swap!Anne) are designed by me, but there are bunches out there and its really fun to see what could have happened!

B3 (only Human au) was orginally inspired by one of @themissakat aus. I don't originally recall which one started this particular au, but I do know that if you want to find more aus, go to their page and you will have aus for YEARS! Its beautiful.

C3 is obviously my au. (Lost au) If you want to know more, you can go here. Summary is, its a corruption au but worse. And in context for this, Marcy isn't fully corrupted yet.

D3 (superhero au) and C4 (fairytale au) are also aus of one of my friends. The super hero, they got powers. In fairy tale, I really have no clue where its going, but all I know is that it's pretty gay.

E3 (owl house swap), B5 (Hogwarts) and A6 (UA - MHA/My Hero Academia au) are all fandom swaps and I just adore fandom swaps.

F3 (Ghost au) is also very fandom what if. Probably one of my favorite au ideas, and its certainly fun to mess with. There are lots of people who have added to this au.

A4 (Zombie au) and A5 (Soulmates au, and yes that is Sashannarcy my beloved) are very popular au ideas so I just had to add them. Any people to point to? No, but once again, The Missa Kat does have a zombie au!

E4 (Gender swap) is special. The reason why the gender swap is facing away (not just bc that was in the expression sheet) was kinda just, because they look the same XD. I have no known knowledge of any current aus of that, but maybe there is some that I'm just previously unaware of!

F4 (Power of Three au!!) is one of my LONG TIME FAVORITE aus. I have been a huge fan of this one. Its one of @honneibun 's aus and its so AMAZING! I highly recommend just looking at it. Its beautiful and It will always live rent free in my brain.

C5 (streamer/YT au) is from a fic I read a long time ago which never finished. If anyone can tell me who and where it is, I will be glad and my life will finally be complete. D5 (Author au, NOT COMIC BOOK AUTHOR) is heavily inspired by the time skip and the above (C5) streamer/YT au. As far as I am aware, there are no current aus with this.

E5 (Oversimplified), well. I think you guys can probably guess. On YT there is a Simplified or Oversimplified series (idk maybe its called "So this is basically _____ "or something and I thought, Amphibia should be included!) and so.. yeah!

B6 (opposite au), I.. really do not like that one and will probably or def change it. Idk what was going through my head as I drew/edited it.

C6 (Never went to Amphibia au) is another popular one that I just HAD to include.

D6 is apart of my SCP aus that I also have. If you don't know what SCP is, then.. there's a website. Basically it stands for Sucure, Contain and Protect and it holds all the supernatural and dangerous creatures. (Its not real guys!)

E6 (newt au) is basically swapped Amphibia au. Very popular and I sometimes wished that there were more of them.

F6 (roommates au) however was HEAILY inspired and particially from I think @kyoryu 's au on twitter? I think its the same one. If its wrong than I can change it, but I'm pretty sure I'm right?

C7 (Animal au) I've seen everywhere and soo... I added it. No known (main) aus on it.

Finally, D7 (Alien au) Another one of my various multifandom aus that sit in my BIG BOOK OF AUS in the corner of my work area. Its always fun like that!!
