Hi! @goldenlaurelleaveswrites. I’m your secret admirer this year! I went with your ‘meet cute’ prompt. I was having a lot of fun with this because I also like fluff. I hope you like it. 😊😊💙💙
“A street musician, Luka Couffaine was struggling with writing his new song, he felt he was a bit blocked. This afternoon was sunny and calm but he couldn’t find his own peace, his head was gloomy. He entered a small coffee shop to take a break. A cute girl appeared before his eyes. Marinette, the waitress, had a beautiful smile that illuminated everything around. She was like a shining star and he couldn’t take his eyes away from her... The writing of the new song was about to start and then something new started as well.”

“Oh my gosh! I’m super late.” Marinette exclaimed as she rushed around her apartment, fluffing pillows on the couch, straightening up the refreshments on the kitchen island, and checking each stocking (eight to be exact, even though her parents wouldn’t be attending tonight) to make sure the designated presents were in their place.
“Calm down, Marinette.” Tikki said as she floated above her, licking at the end of a candy cane. “Your party is gonna be great!”
“Thanks Tikki, but it’s my first time hosting and I want everything to be perfect! If it’s not perfect then no one will want to come and visit me after this.”
Tikki shook her head. “That’s not true, Marinette. They love you! Of course they’ll come visit you if you ask them to!”
“I’m not sure about that, Tikki, so I have to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect .” Glancing at the coffee table that held multiple games and icebreakers, Marinette gasped. “Oh no! I forgot the coasters!” Then she was hurrying out of the room.
“Oh, Marinette.” Tikki sighed after her chosen before a thoughtful expression came to her face, quickly turning into a smirk. “I think I know just the right thing to make sure Marinette has a good time.”
Then she zoomed out of the room.

Playing with Fire – Ch. 10
Hiii! lol this story isn't dead or abandoned, I promise! 😁 Huge thanks to @verfound for the eternal bog conversation 😆 and to @mintaka14 for betaing this chapter! 💖
Jagged catches up with Tom and Sabine, Marinette and Luka start their search, and Juleka has an unexpected visitor.
Read on Ao3
First Chapter | Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
As Jagged made his way through the little town on the way to Luka’s tower, he noticed instantly that something was wrong.
For one thing, the bakery was closed.
And for another, not one person asked him about his new mandolin, or told him to stop playing.
Everyone just seemed… jumpy. On edge. Watching each other out of the corner of their eyes.
He stashed his mandolin on his back and shoved his way into the bakery door, despite it being closed. Tom and Sabine had never had an issue with his visits, considering he was a regular, one of the King’s Wizards, and always bought huge quantities of their bread.
Instead of the bright, booming laugh he’d come to expect, though, he was greeted by Tom’s big hands shoving him back out.
“No bread today,” he growled, “just like yesterday and the day before that. Not until the people of this town apologize.”
“Wait, whoa, hold up!” Jagged yelled as he stuck his hands and feet in the doorway to prevent being shoved out. There was a harsh crack of wood behind him and he groaned as he realized his brand new mandolin was probably broken at the neck. Again. “I’m here as a friend!”
The hands pushing him out were pulled away and Jagged turned his head to look. Tom had taken two huge steps back and was rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
“Sorry, there, Jagged, I guess I thought…”
Jagged relaxed and slipped the mandolin from around his neck to assess the damage. Snapped completely in half, strings ripped apart… geez, how much brute strength did the guy have anyways? Luckily he knew the repair spell by heart and he forced the wood back together to perform it.
“Now then,” he said when he finished, “what’s going on in this town?”
Sabine scuttled forward with a cup of tea and she laid a hand on Tom’s arm as she set the cup on the table and invited Jagged to sit. He waved her off and the couple shared an uncomfortable look.
“Marinette was here,” Sabine started carefully, “...with Luka.”
Jagged snorted. “Well, that explains a lot.”
“It does?”
“Sure, great leapin’ lizard shows up outta nowhere. ‘Course people are scared.”
“Well, no, he wasn’t… he looked human, it was just…”
“He’s not,” Jagged completed simply. “And people don’t like what they don’t understand. Can’t understand.” His own brow furrowed with the thought. Wizards hadn't been all that acceptable at first, either, until the King realized they were useful. Still left a bitter taste in Jagged's mouth.
“There was some sort of stand off in the town square,” Sabine continued. “They both escaped, but the townspeople… well…”
“They formed a bloody mob and went after them!” Tom thundered. Sabine laid a hand on his forearm and he quieted.
“We tried to explain, it was out of self-defense, but no one would listen to us.”
“Then they wanted bread the next day like they hadn’t just gone after my family,” Tom growled.
"Wait, they went after them?" Jagged asked, his attention snapping back to Sabine. "What do you mean 'they went after them'? What happened?"
Tom let out a little snort of laughter and sat to cover his chortles. It made Jagged feel somewhat better that he was laughing and not distraught, but the question remained.
"They weren't there," Sabine explained, with a fond sidelong glance to Tom. "We went up with them to try to do something, or convince someone. They'd already left, but—"
"My daughter's a genius," Tom managed between laughs.
"The townspeople heard one wail and ran. Turns out Marinette had strung some armor up. When the wind blew through it, it sounded like some sort of moan, and it made the townspeople think the tower was cursed."
Jagged blinked at Sabine, then at Tom, who was still laughing. Sabine just shrugged, smiling a little, and finally Jagged let out a whooping laugh.
"That's my little baker's girl!" He nudged Tom's shoulder good-naturedly and they fell into laughing together. When they finally stopped, Jagged had to wipe some tears from his eyes. "I can definitely work with that," he said, grinning. Sabine and Tom exchanged a nervous, knowing look.
"No enchanted bogs, Jagged."
"I would never—that was—" Jagged spluttered indignantly. "That was one time!"
"Once was enough, thank you," Sabine said curtly. He rolled his eyes at her and pulled out his mandolin to pluck a few lines.
"Just because that mayor's daughter fell into it doesn't mean—"
Sabine silenced him with a look. He couldn't help grinning, though, as he nodded and clamped his lips shut.
Later, when he made his way up to the tower, he realized what Sabine and Tom had been talking about. The air was filled with unearthly wails and moans that sounded like the dead had been raised, along with the tell-tale clink of empty armor against the trees. Through the greenery, he spotted one of Marinette's rabbit traps holding up a cuirass and he had to smile. Tom was right. Genius.
Jagged rolled his neck and cracked his knuckles as he decided how best to enhance Marinette's plan. A few simple rune traps would add to the effect. Nothing big, just some eerie mist, maybe a spectral form here or there… When they were stepped on they would activate and the whole thing would work like a "keep out" sign for suspicious villagers.
When he'd finished the perimeter, he stood back to admire his work, then turned his attention to the tower. Luka would've left a note, he was sure of it, explaining things. That's the way the kid was. He liked to have things buttoned up and tidied away. He would've said goodbye.
When he did climb the tower, he found the small blue flower that Luka had left, preserved with a little bit of magic Jagged had taught him and kept in place by a stone. When he opened the note, it was blank except for the words, "Thanks for everything."
But, thanks to the preserved flower, Jagged knew exactly what to do to find his real message.
He crumbled the flower and blew the resulting powder into the paper. The residual magic stuck to the encoded words and shimmered a glittery blue in the fading afternoon light.
Jagged, it read, we're headed west into the forest. I'll leave a trail for you so you can come visit wherever we end up.
You've probably already helped Marinette with her idea. If I can ask one more thing of you, there's a trapdoor hidden in the floor in the back of this room. I'm not as skilled in magic as you are, so I couldn't protect the door with anything but a simple lock charm. I know you'll come up with something better.
No enchanted bogs.
Jagged rolled his eyes. Seriously it was one time! Why was everyone so focused on the one time he tried a new spell and turned the entire town into an eternal bog. It wasn't even eternal—the whole thing only lasted a month or so, although, well, the smell did linger a while longer.
He looked around and found the door Luka had mentioned. While it would be hard to find for anyone who wasn't looking, he understood why Luka would want it protected. Those books of his were his life while he'd been here. He looked back to the note and there were only two lines left.
Until I see you again, Luka.
P.S. Don't worry, I'll take care of her.
Jagged smiled as the last line thrummed with a magic Luka probably hadn't intended. He really had to teach that boy about the way love and magic so often coincided.
Although he had a feeling that Luka was starting to discover that for himself.
***
"Dragon?" the merchant asked, rubbing his chin in thought. "No, none of those in these parts. Heard tell of one the next village over, though. 'Round a tower. King's offered some gold for its head if memory serves."
Marinette offered him a tight-lipped smile in return as she paid, conscious of Luka's tense energy beside her.
She turned, handed him the gloves, and pulled at his shirt to prompt him to walk away. He followed, albeit stiffly.
"Luka, I told you already, no one knows it's you they're talking about."
"Doesn't make it any easier," he grumbled back. But he glanced down at his forearms that were still covered in scales despite their stones and tugged the leather gloves on anyway. "Besides, I doubt anyone around here will know where to find Jules. We keep to ourselves, really, and if it hadn't been for my incident I doubt anyone would've even known dragons were still out there."
When he held up his hands to show her what the gloves looked like on him, she glanced over them in approval, then frowned in thought and reached up to brush his hair out of his eyes.
"Nothing we can do about these, I guess."
"Or the teeth," he added, smirking for effect.
“Or the teeth,” she agreed fondly. “I guess just don’t… smile at anyone for now.”
A dry chuckle slid out from between his clenched teeth as his eyes darted around the square they were in, on guard and suspicious, taking note of the people still around them. "Not a problem, love."
She tipped up and kissed the edge of his jaw, which surprised him enough to jar him out of his rigid paranoia and turn that soft look on her. For good measure, she brushed his hair out of his eyes again, more to trail her fingers along his cheeks and down the sides of his neck than because she wanted to see the bright blue of his eyes match the blue of the stone at his neck.
Something ignited in his gaze as he looked at her and she blushed as she pulled her hands away. She'd never felt in danger with Luka before, but that look was definitely dangerous.
"Come on," she muttered, lacing her fingers through his and tugging him along. "There are still some people we can ask, and maybe we can find a place to stay tonight."
***
Juleka startled to attention as footsteps resounded in the empty space of the cave she'd hunkered down in for the time being. It wasn't as cozy as other places, but there was a village nearby that was too close for comfort and she preferred to keep her distance. Stay invisible. Stay alive. That'd been her saving grace for as long as she'd been on her own.
Arguably, she was young for a dragon to be by herself, but without Luka to smooth the waters between them, Juleka and her mother were… inflammatory.
She thought she'd done well enough, but the human stumbling into her cave proved her very wrong. The tiny thing looked up with bleary blue eyes under a fringe of bright blonde hair and gave Juleka a wobbly smile.
"I'm sorry," she said, her voice weak, "I just… I'm so tired… I need to…" She didn't even finish the sentence before her knees gave out from under her and, without thinking, Juleka darted towards her to catch her with an armored claw. The sprite of a human gave her a thankful little smile, snuggled into her scales, and promptly fell asleep.
Juleka lowered her head to check that the human was still breathing, careful not to transfer her fire. Luka's mistake had been drilled into her head and she knew—she knew—that if a dragon shared their fire they shared their life. It wasn't worth it, her mother had said, giving up the freedom of the skies for anyone or anything.
Not that Juleka wanted to. Looking at the tiny, helpless thing in her arms that she could easily swipe aside without another thought—protect herself and protect her secret—she couldn't see why a dragon would ever bother with them. If it weren't for Luka's accident, she knew he wouldn't have chosen a human.
Still, she had to admit, the way the blonde's eyelashes fluttered in her sleep was… maybe a little cute.

Princess Heartmaker
Chapter Fifteen: Let Me In Somehow – Gotta Find a Way to Brave It
It was a testament to Shadowmoth, Paris that, once the akuma had been dealt with, the dance continued on as if nothing had happened.
And, technically, Marinette supposed, nothing actually had happened.
At least not to anyone else.
She closed her eyes and took a deep, steadying breath.  Her hands gripped the edge of the counter tightly, and she took a moment to focus on her breathing.  Slow, steady breaths in.  Slow, steady breaths out.  She ignored the pulse of music she could hear in the distance.  The chatter of people in the hall.  The concerned press of her kwami – of two of her kwamis – in the bag at her hip.  After a moment, she opened her eyes and stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror.
…she was exhausted.  She had been trapped in the akuma’s game for less than an hour, but she felt like she had lived through several months in that short time.  And while her fellow students had been more than happy to crank up the music and continue dancing like Shadowmoth hadn’t interrupted their fun, Marinette just wanted to sleep.

Let's go over everything that ML did wrong.
They refused to acknowledge any flaws Adrien had and called him perfect.
They refused to allow him a final confrontation with his father, and instead locked him in a room during a final battle with Monarch that should have included both Ladybug and Chat Noir.
They refused to redeem Chloe as part of a so called damnation arc instead of giving her the redemption they previously hinted at.
They sent Chloe off to live with her abusive mother, saying she deserved to be abused.
Nino never got his Scarabella treatment with the Black Cat, and was shafted in favor of Zoe for that.
They teased Lukanette and Adrigami at the end of S3, and immediately broke them up in the first episode of S4 because any other ships beside Adrinette aren't allowed.
After four and a half seasons, they brought up Marinette's stalking habits but blamed it all on Chloe instead of her owning up to her behavior and learning from it. There's also the inconsistency of her only having that behavior with Adrien and not Luka or Chat.
They introduced Zoe, Chloe's half-sister, without any foreshadowing in season four and immediately gave her Chloe's Bee Miraculous. Everything was basically handed to her where other characters actually worked to earn stuff.
They tried to portray Lila and Felix as these master manipulators, but the way they did it instead made everyone else look too dumb through plot armor and bad writing.
Nothing ever came up about Lila lying about being Ladybug's BFF after Alya learned Marinette was Ladybug, and should have not believed her anymore.
Felix didn't even get a redemption, and yet he's part of the team at the end while Chloe is not.
They shoved the last four hero debuts into one episode when they all should have had individual spotlight episodes because they were too busy salting Chloe and shilling Zoe to remember them.
They had multiple opportunities for the heroes to win back the Miraculouses Hawk Moth stole, but didn't because of plot armor and bad writing.
The retcons! The wish originally being equivalent exchange then retconned to world rewriting, Luka and Juleka being two years apart then retconned to twins, Socqueline and Zoe, to name a few.
The freaking sentikids plot! I hate that so much. They didn't start foreshadowing that until late S3 at best. They claim to be planning that since the beginning, but I call baloney!
There's probably more.

At this point, I feel like Lukanette and Adrigami would have worked better as the endgame ships.
Luka's calm presence balances Marinette's anxiety. They're always working towards a common creative goal.
Adrien encourages Kagami to rebel and have fun like he did while Kagami encourages Adrien to be more assertive.
I think you'd probably hate Lukanette and Adrigami if they got as much focus as the love square. The little we saw of them really didn't paint them as meaningfully healthier.
Lukanette painted Luka as an overly indulgent and overly passive pushover who was written more like a mentor than a boyfriend. I was straight up uncomfortable with how fine he was with being a clear rebound. The scene where the kwamis sent him pictures of the Adrien posters in Marinette's room right before their date made me want to grab him by the shoulders and shout, "She is not ready to date you yet! Don't settle like this!"
He could clearly communicate the issues he eventually had with the obvious lying, so he's not a total pushover, but I think Marinette needs someone a little less chill and indulgent and Luka needs someone a little more self aware who is willing to push him a bit.
That's actually why I like Lukagami if I must pick a canon pairing for him. I could totally see Kagami blowing up at him for being so passive whereas Marinette would likely remain oblivious to the passivity. Something like that scene from Risk where Kagami blew up on Adrien:
Kagami: (angrily) Adrien, I saw you on TV this morning, and I know that you don't want to leave. Once again, you let your father decide for you! (harshly) How long are you going to remain his puppet, Adrien? Adrien: (shocked) But... my cousin is gonna talk to him, and- Kagami: (annoyed) This just keeps getting better. You're letting your COUSIN do things for you now? Who's pulling the strings of your life? Your cousin? Your father? Me, when we were together? It's never YOU! You're only good at doing what people tell you to do! Dare to cut your strings, Adrien! (stops and contemplates for a moment, then genuinely apologizes for her harsh manner) ...Forgive me if I hurt you. (hangs up sadly)
This sort of tough love seems like the kind of thing Luka would take to heart, but not be hurt by because he's so chill. On the other hand, I think it's a terrible match for Adrien as he's a pretty sensitive guy with a lot of self worth issues, which is why I don't like Adrigami. Their brief relationship was mostly Kagami steamrolling him and I don't see that changing any time soon. For all of Marinette's flaws, at the very least she never pushed Adrien to be something he wasn't and she does tend to be very gentle with people when she knows they're hurting, which is the kind of support Adrien probably needs. The tough love approach is a really terrible approach for most people. I mean, do you really think stuff like the above exchange would be positive for Adrien's mental health in the long run? At least Luka would communicate if Kagami's approach was hurting him. Adrien would just take it and say nothing like he always does.
Of course, this is all based on what the show did and I don't think a single relationship in the show comes across all that well. The best by far is Ivan and Mylène and even there we still got an episode where it's revealed that Ivan's planning to do nothing but be a house husband when discussing what to study in lycée which was certainly a choice the writers made for a 14-year-old boy and his 14-year-old girlfriend... I don't mind that they've talked about the idea, it is possible to end up happily married to someone you got together with at a young age, but maybe don't imply that your characters are planning to start popping out babies as soon as they turn 18 or even sooner? Because that's how that line comes across in the context when it's given.
In summary, I wouldn't call Lukanette or Adrigami a NOTP, I think there's probably versions of the ships I'd genuinely like (especially Lukanette*), I just don't see them as superior to the love square and I'm mainly in this fandom for the identity shenanigans. You don't get more identity shenanigans than the love square unless you completely rewrite the show's base concept, so I don't have any interest in looking at alternative pairings for Adrien or Martinette. Every pairing the show gave us needs work and, for all its flaws, I do think the love square works fine if you actually let them have character arcs. Their main issue is communication and that's about it. It's a similar issue to why Marinette tends to come across so poorly. She's the main character, so the bad writing effects her more than any other character. The love square is the main ship, so we get the most bad writing about it.
*I actually tried to read Lukanette stuff when I first came to the fandom because I liked his character, but everything I tried was using Lukanette to salt on Adrien and hard pass.

VIPERMOUSE AND LUKAMOUSE FANFIC
Basically This fanfic has both Lukamouse and Vipermouse (I can't make it separate since it would take me alot of time but whatever)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Luka, are you okay?" Multimouse asked, her concern evident in her voice. Luka responded with a simple "yes" before she left. "Marinette really looks cute with the mouse miraculous, right, Sass?" Luka realized that he was being distracted and quickly transformed into Viperion, coming into the battlefield.
During the fight, Viperion saw that Pixelator was aiming for Multimouse and yelled out, "Multimouse, watch out!" He grabbed her waist and pulled her out of harm's way just in time. "Mari, are you okay?" Viperion whispered to Multimouse, who blushed and responded with a stuttering "yeah." Both knew each other's identities, which only added to the awkwardness.
Suddenly, Pixelator zapped Multimouse, but before he could take Viperion down, Viperion used "second chance" and rewind time. He saved them both and got them out of danger. Multimouse pulled out the Ladybug miraculous and said confidently, "The way to defeat Pixelator is to make things easy." She recited the three words, "Tikki, Mullo, Unify," and transformed into Multibug. "Wow, you look stunning," Luka stammered as he gazed upon her. "Thanks, now come on, we gotta defeat him," Multibug said with resolve.
It took a while to defeat Pixelator, but Multibug and Viperion persevered. Once they had succeeded, they went somewhere else to detransform. As they were both recovering from the fight, they exchanged a secret but passionate kiss before heading home, safe and sound.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey blossoms
This is the Final Lukanette LS fanfic (don't worry, i'm not quiting lukanette, i still love the lukanette LS)
I might make a more better version of these in the future.

A Lonely Christmas?
For @inkmousey, LBSC Secret Santa 2023
“Yes, Maman, I’ll be fine here by myself.” Marinette spoke into her phone. She was organizing her scrap materials... again. She picked up a teal-green square that reminded her of Viperion and set it aside to use later.
“I just worry about you being alone on Christmas. You know we can always fly back-”
“Maman. You and Dad have wanted to see your extended family for years now, and with the commissions I have, I wouldn’t have been able to go anyways, I’ll be fine! Promise.” Marinette reassured her mother for the fifth time today. Her parents landed in China yesterday and they wouldn’t stop fussing over her. She loves them dearly, but it was starting to feel like she was 14 again.
“I’m 18 and more than capable of taking care of myself. Enjoy your vacation and give the family my love, okay?” Marinette sighed as she heard her mother's relucent agreement and hung up. Marinette sighed again as she put her scrap materials away.
“Geez, they always worry too much about me, I’m fine and not alone!” Marinette turned to Mullo who was sleeping on her pillow next to Marinette. Smiling softly, Marinette quietly got up to make herself some tea and maybe pull out a cracker or two for Mullo when she wakes up.
After setting the electric kettle to boil, Marinette brought down some of her favorite relaxing tea and her favorite mug from the kitchen cabinet. The quiet of the kitchen was starting to get to her. Normally the kitchen is busy with smells and laughter intermingled with talking. A creeping loneliness was starting to show itself, but Marinette grabbed her phone and set some holiday music to distract from it. She has been home alone before, and it's not a big deal. Why would now, be any different?
Now, it was time for family and friends, but no one has the time for you, a villainous voice in Marinette’s mind said. She shook her head to dispel the thoughts, it wasn’t the time for depression to make a nuisance of itself. She had a duty to Paris and her commissions to think of.
Hearing the kettle click off, Marinette grabbed the boiling water and made a mug of tea. Grabbing a few crackers along the way, she headed back upstairs to her bedroom where Mullo was waiting. She watched her Kwami sleep peacefully and Marinette put her tea on the bedside table.
Mullo woke up to the sound of Marinette flopping onto her bed with a sleeve of crackers held to her chest. Muffled music still played from her phone in her back pocket. Another sigh escaped her. Maybe her parents weren’t over worrying about her. It was the first Christmas she had spent alone, and Marinette was... unhappy.
Hawkmoth has been terrorizing people left and right, since the holidays started. It was all hands-on deck this year. Marinette felt glad she was relied on but, also sad that she couldn’t join her family in China. Until Hawkmoth was caught, all Miraculous holders were grounded to Paris. The upside was that she might even get to see Viperion. Although it was highly likely he, like the rest of the holders, had Christmas plans, Marinette let out another sigh.
Marinette reached out for the tea she made and pulled her phone out of her pocket to silence the music that was still playing. Sipping the hot tea, Marinette contemplated what to do for the night, it was Christmas eve, and the weather wasn’t too cold, so she could go out on a run through the city patrolling.
“Hey Mullo, what do you think about going out for a while?” Mullo munched on a cracker and smiled at her holder.
“That sounds wonderful, Miss Marinette! I bet the night lights would be beautiful!” Mullo squeaked. Marinette nodded; a small smile graced her lips. Going out might be just the thing she needed, after grabbing the rest of the crackers, Marinette transformed into Multimouse, leapt out of her skylight and into the night air.
The air was a little crisp, but Multimouse’s suit kept her warm as she sailed through the sky. Landing and bounding off to the next building Multimouse breathed the freedom that the miraculous gave her. After patrolling the city for about 30 minutes, Multimouse decided she would rest at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Upon reaching the top of the tower, Multimouse found a decently comfortable spot and sat down to look at the lights of the city. The city was beautiful at night, all lit up with Christmas lights and hardly anyone around. It gave the night an almost magical feel to it.
Multimouse couldn’t have been there more than 10 minutes when she heard a crunch of gravel behind her. Whipping around Multimouse saw Viperion walking up to her, quietly gazing at her with a soft look on his face. She realized that Viperion was walking noisily on purpose to let her know that he was there, the kindness he showed warmed her heart and cheeks.
“O-oh, Viperion! I didn’t expect to see you here.” Multimouse watched as Viperion gracefully sat down next to her and looked out at the city. They sat quietly for a few minutes, just enjoying the air and night lights. Their fingers a hair width apart from touching, shoulders brushing against each other when they moved to situate themselves.
“S-so, why are you out here?” Multimouse asked. She nervously played with her fingers before looking up at Viperion and settling down again in a relaxed position.
“My family has plans and I couldn’t go with, so I’m here by myself.” Viperion answered. He looked questioningly at her.
“Oh, same. My parents left to visit family elsewhere.” Multimouse responded to Viperion’s unvoiced question.
Viperion hummed, “Hmm, seems we both are alone this Christmas.”
“Yup.”
Silence blanketed them again, but it was comforting, to have someone nearby that understood. Viperion turned away from the city to look at Multimouse again. Multimouse sensed his gaze and looked back at him.
“Come with me, there’s a place I want to take you,” Viperion said as he offered his hand out to Multimouse.
She took his hand and stood up with him, “Where are we going?” Multimouse asked. Viperion just smiled and butterflies erupted in her stomach. They jumped from one rooftop to the next and kept an even steady pace. Then in ten minutes' time they reached their destination, Palace of Versailles.
“Wha-” Multimouse started but Viperion put a finger to her lips, making them tingle. They were close together and Multimouse swallowed hard.
“Trust me,” Viperion whispered. He removed his finger from her lips and took Multimouse’s hand as he led her into the gardens of the palace. Multimouse followed Viperion in a slight daze as they ventured further in.
The gardens were covered in snow, winter plants sprung up here and there and the quiet of the city made Multimouse want to keep the serenity. When they reached the center of the gardens there was a fountain. Surprisingly water was still running through it. Viperion sat down on the edge of the fountain and Multimouse sat down next to him.
“I come here occasionally when I'm feeling a little down.” Viperion said softly, almost a whisper, as if he too, was afraid to break the peacefulness of the gardens.
Multimouse breathed deeply, enjoying the crisp night air and tranquility of the gardens. Smiling softly at Viperion she scooted closer to him and snuggled up into his side. This was an often-enough occurrence that neither of them thought much of it. Tonight, however, felt different. Maybe it was because of where they were, or the fact that it felt like a date, or maybe because it was Christmas, but Multimouse felt like this moment was way more... intimate, than the times before.
“Hey, Mousey?” Viperion asked softly, slightly turning his head to gaze down at her. His mint green eyes slightly glowed while he looked at her.
“Hmm?”
“Happy Christmas,” he commented, Multimouse thought it was still too early for midnight but when she heard the clock tower strike 12 a moment later, she realized that this night had been going by quickly.
“Happy Christmas, Viper.” Multimouse looked down at their hands feeling a charged energy in the air.
Multimouse glanced up to see Viperion watching her, a blush rose up on her face, but she didn’t look away. Multimouse’s heart started to pound away in her chest as Viperion stared, he moved slightly to the side he cupped her back with an arm and moved his face closer but slowly toward her own. The air felt electrified and Multimouse licked her lips in anticipation. That grabbed Viperion’s attention, his gaze flickered down to her lips before looking back into her eyes. A silent question hung in the air, Multimouse realized that Viperion stopped, just a few inches away from her lips, and concluded that he was waiting for permission. Nodding her head slightly, Multimouse slowly closed her eyes as the two shared a soft kiss.
It was a sweet and memorable moment for them. After pulling away from each other, Viperion rested his forehead against Multimouse’s. They breathed in each other's air, silently staring at each other, smiling softly with sparkling eyes. They still had lots to talk about, but at that moment everything was perfect. As they snuggled up to each other, Viperion and Multimouse sat in the gardens for a while longer, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the night. Later there would be talk of relationships, boundaries, identities revealed, and what they wanted for the future. For now, though, Viperion and Multimouse enjoyed the company of each other on what started as a lonely Christmas that developed into something more.

I got tagged by @wyleriseverything

"Or at least they would be if his pupils weren't so big, he could barely see any color at all."
This is from a new fic I'm writing that takes place when Jerome breaks into Bruce's place after he comes back to life. Instead of dragging him to his carnival a whole new scene happens at the house 👀 this line is describing Jerome's eyes at the moment.
