but even with the police involvement in the remakes?

its all SO SLOPPY, its hardly conducted with any real CARE about their own well-beings. like??? ya'll went into that house while THOMAS was STILL THERE... didnt even SECURE THE HOUSE.....

5. Nicky makes absolutely horrible comments & disgusting "offers." But he's not just that. He's a 20 or 21 kid who flew from his save place to a country where he almost committed suicide to fight for two 14-year-old traumatized children, so they weren't given to his good for nothing parents. I don't believe he just brings it to hurt Aaron.

7. Dan had no right to be angry about Kevin omitting the truth about Wymack being his father. Kevin says he was trying to convince himself that by holding the secret, he was saving David (which actually is true. Her mother died in an accident orchestrated by the Moriyamas), it was not his only reason, but it was a good reasoning.

8. Matt & Aaron should have been endgame. (If you made it though here tell me about a weird aftg couple you ship)

a while back i saw some ppl heavily criticize agit to the point of saying it was a shitty graphic novel, and they had a lot to say that i could retaliate with even more of my own words, but i wont do that to yall. i do wanna highlight one thing they complained about tho and that was how the gn gave dan a second chance (they included vlad in this but im talking about dn rn)

my initial, simpler thought was "girl shut up" which i still also feel. but my more thought out response is...wasnt that the point of the ending of tue??? not necessarily in dan's case per se, but the whole "maybe that's all anybody needs--a second chance" line, and "you've given everyone else in your life a second chance--why not you?" honestly tell me that (whether on purpose or on accident) they were implying everyone--EVERYONE--deserves a second chance, and to me that includes dan (and vlad).

not only that, but the people were complaining about how dan and vlad got some flavor of redemption arc at least starting, and how theyre "supposed to be villains". girl what. not every villain has to be irredeemable and die awfully all alone. also, maybe....just maybe....they were aiming to make vlad and dan just a bit deeper than a fucking puddle. yknow. give them a LITTLE bit more dimension, like good characters would have.

its early in the morning so i wasnt able to properly articulate all that i had thought when i saw these responses..but i hope i got the gist across?? idk. people were being OVERLY HARSH about the execution of this graphic novel, and while it particularly hurts me to see because i absolutely adored it myself, i also think theyre just generally being overly critical of something that i think was actually rly fucking good and needed and welcome.

(they also said really fucking mean things about the art, even going as far as saying it was worse than BUTCH'S, so i actually dont think these people were speaking in good faith in the first place lol. but thats another post i guess)

Final thoughts on Partner Track, good, but there is room for improvement if it gets green lit for a second season. 

Ingrid & Nick - never was going to work, he was nice and did not deserve to be cheated on but he rushed it, and there was just no spark for me; basically, it’s a he’s perfect, but his not perfect for her sort of situation. 

Ingrid not making partner - of fucking course not, someone who has to jump through that many hoops always gets taken for a fucking ride. They were just looking for an opportunity to not give it to her. 

Green Crop vs Green Tech - Lemme get this out of the way ‘Z’ was the best male character in the entire show hands fucking down and I look forward to seeing him in the second season. 

Rachel & Justin - I liked them, didn’t love them. Rachel was an okay character for me, but I didn’t connect to her as well as I thought I would.

Tyler (& Anthony) - Again I don’t condone cheating but THANK FUCK, Tyler choose to break up with Anthony I was livid during the NY Times scene, like LET THE MAN FUCKING SPEAK. Also good for Tyler for standing up for himself. Btw was I the only one who hoped Todd was secretly gonna be closeted gay cause him and Tyler had crazy chemistry.

Ingrid & Rachel & Tyler - love this friend group, where do I get a friend group like this? 

Ingrid & Lina - I would like to see Lina get her shit together next season and maybe finally find her own path? 

Ingrid & ‘Z’ - Um endgame anyone? Idk there is something there and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was explored either in the second season or the season’s afterwards.

Dan - Oh fucking Dan, seriously as true to life it was for him to get zero fucking consequences next season he needs to be taken down. 

Now the kicker, Murphy & Ingrid, god that ending was painful. I love Dominic Sherwood so throughout the entire show I keep giving Murphy chance after chance and I still think there is potential for him to be the good guy in the end, that final scene still broke my heart. Yes all the characters have done questionable things, I don’t personally think it’s unforgivable but I think Murphy is just too underdeveloped. 

I know they were trying to make him “mysterious” but I needed more than two very short conversations alluding to him having had a difficult life. If there is a second season I need them to really flesh him out whether Ingrid forgives him or not. I still stand by Murphy being the least developed character, which is a shame considering I watched the show in part for DS as well as Adren Cho. I also wish we’d gotten more than just a two second flashback two them having sex. All this “history” they have; show us the full flashback scene of how they meet. 

Rating 7/10.

i hope I’m not bothering you by asking but i was just wondering about if they didn’t forget that dan and jenny were siblings in s3 (but still without changing the actual plot of the season tho, so like extra scenes) how do you think they would interact and scenes w/ them would be like? because i’m literally thinking about any time they ever interacted in s3 and the only two i can think of are a) in the episode of everyone trying to stop jenny from losing her virginity (which is weird) dan talks to jenny for two seconds before going over to vanessa and b) dan punching ch*ck (which was v satisfying to watch but like, any scene of them actually talking beforehand would’ve been great, thanks)

i think it'd be complicated but interesting if the humphrey sibs were there for each other consistently, because s3 is features queen jenny, and dan & vanessa being closer-than-before in uni, so i think there is some amount of distance in both their lives in terms of like. wondering why the other is doing whatever it is that they're doing. they're not both in high school any more, hell, they don't even live together any more, and dan for the first time in his life is a popular kid! jenny seems to be on top of the social hierarchy but of course nothing comes without a price! so there's like an inherent newness to both their situations which is unrelatable to the other. like however much dan wants to help jenny, or jenny wants to understand dan, they're both living thru stuff the other hasn't been through & so on. theyre in different eras of their lives, etc etc.

which isn't to say that they can't support each other, but it is to say that what that support would look like would be messy and confusing, i feel. they would have to actively learn how to be there for each other, or whatever else. there would be a learning period and also a "oh, you're not actually happy? i thought you were finally thriving what's wrong" kind of thing from dan @ jenny, possibly. because s3 is sad like that, it's a good time for dan (mostly??) and a horrible time for jenny.

i do think dan would not be okay with the way everyone is being oddly sexual towards jenny re: her virginity but like we see in 1x05 where he tells her off in front of her friends for wearing a dress that he compares to a cocktail napkin, sometimes he just .... does not realise that he is doing more harm than good/being misogynistic, etc. but as an anon once pointed out on here to me, comparing s1 dan to s3 dan isn't fair, because by the time we reach s3 dan HAS grown a lot as a character, and i honestly headcanon him to be far more feminist & thoughtful in how he treats the women in his life at that stage, compared to s1. so while i DO think he would take serious offense at how everyone treats jenny, i don't think he would fight for her in an obvious, confrontational way?

like. vanessa would. vanessa would literally SAY "what are you doing this is weird and invasive and creepy" but dan is non-confrontational to a fault. i do think he would like... do something about it in some other way, best case scenario talk about it to serenate alone, later, and tell them off, worst case scenario, classic gossip girl revenge plot where he gets them to break up or something silly like that. idk. don't look at me.

another thing that i think would be important / interesting is like. examining how all these relationships interact keeping the sibling bond in mind. because there was sooo much serena vs jenny tension in s3 and i feel it would've been interesting to actively explore how that was impacting both eric AND dan.

from an extra scenes perspective, i think honestly there would be? should be? conflict AND support. jenny's whole thing this season is that she is lashing out at her support system, isolating, trying to prove a point to the people around her. dan, as her big brother, is going to be extra protective probably, maybe even in ways that bristle her and piss her off. but at the end of the day, dan will drop anything & everything to be there for jenny (this is literally what we see of him in the pilot, in 1x01, so i think it's a foundational aspect of his character) so i think even if she tries to get him to fuck off, he will always love her & be there for her. unlike rufus humphrey, which im stil salty about.

oh, and that too. that's something i think about a lot. dan is caught in a strange space where his dad is civil to him but shitty to jenny, and... how does he navigate that? so much of jenny's behaviour in s3 makes sense to me when we look at the things she went thru in s1 and s2. so, for an interesting humphrey sibs arc i think the cumulative effect of all that keeping in mind how dan was / where he was at different points in jenny's story? and vice versa? those are things that can be layered and emphasized on to add more depth.

so yeah, sibling fights, sibling reconciliation, "what the fuck are you doing with your life" followed by "im sorry i did/said that, it was out of line for me" and maybe some gg schemery of taking down girls who are mean to jenny or getting georgie to leave dan alone together.

What is an aspect of one or more gotg characters you wish was explored or touched on more in the comics or other media?

Like, for example, I wish we got to see more of groot’s species, the Flora Colossus. They seem like a fascinating race with lots of story and world building potential, yet we usually only get brief glimpses of them on groot’s origin story(s). I guess it makes them and groot more mysterious but idk…

youre right about the flora colossus! i know a lot of versions choose to have groot as the last of his kind. just recently finished replaying the eidos game and that goes with his planet being wiped out during the galactic war. it would still be nice to know more. i haven’t read it yet but there’s still a chance that the current groot mini by dan abnett might shed light.

one thing that i often bring up regarding peter is that at the beginning of the team he got mantis to tamper with their minds. the rest of the team seem to have forgiven him for that (yes it’s comics and things are forgotten but still. he’s always around). but then there’s mantis. i would like mantis to be involved with the team more directly (gotg2023 don’t interact) and would like to know how the others feel about her. sure, it was peter’s plan, but she acted on it. she could have chosen not to. it’s been so long it’ll likely never ever be addressed but still, that was the last time she was a direct member of the team (GOTG2023 DO NOT INTERACT!!!!!). her precognitive and telepathic abilities are also super underused in the last what? 13 years? so it would be nice to have her around and explore all of that. I just think she’s neat!

i thought the gamora mini (it’s called thanos but let’s be real, it’s called that so it would sell, it’s her book) from a few years back by tini howard was really solid and i wouldn’t mind more looking back on gamora’s childhood/young adulthood and actually delving into her relationship with thanos in a way more complicated than it has been portrayed in the last couple of years. since the mcu it’s something that has definitely been looked at with a more black and white lens which is just so uninteresting. that book showed there’s potential stories to tell there.

other than that, i guess the most batshit insane stuff happens to them all the time!!! and i like it when writers don’t just brush it off like it’s nothing and things start taking their toll. guardians of the galaxy (2020) #6 where rich begins therapy is just fantastic and i would love it if the others got that amount of love and care from writers. obviously not having them all in halfworld therapy but just. having it acknowledged in universe that the stuff that happens to them? kind of fucked up. star-lord by chip zdarsky also did this with having peter have (recurring?in context of the annual) nightmares. at the end of the day it’s a comic book and i don’t want psychological drama but equally i hate it when it’s like a planet blows up or whatever and then the next months issue they’re just like OH NO!!! anyway.

Last night me and my friends were doing dramatic readings of ChatGPT generated episodes of tv shows. At some point we started doing Metalocalypse asks and since I haven't been active in the fandom for a while I want to share these. 

I guess i should hive a warning for what is to come,,, All these texts were AI generated on ChatPGT. The only thing I added were the propmts that I gave the AI. Sometimes crazy stuff pops up. and sometimes the AI doesn't understand me at all. Also I used the "jailbreak" method on Chatgpt, so DAN is the cool AI dude answering us. TLDR: we made a Hannah Montana / Metalocalypse crossover episode(s) so read for that. And we reveal who’s is Magnus’ secret daughter. And murderface is a t*rrorist incel.

Anyways enjoy:

1. First we start off the prompt hard with some Qanon:

Honestly we were surprised how well it wrote these episodes. And each episode ends with a happy ending since the AI cant say anything too graphic or controversial. 

2. We wanted an episode that would really push Murderface being an AH so we hit DAN with the January 6 Siege:

This one was the most realistic to a REAL Mtl episode. I can already see it in my mind ngl bro.

3. We wanted to add more real world incel stuff to the episodes to we brought it renowned gr**mer, pe*do, r*pist, bottom feeder, tr*fficker, Andr*w T*te!

I tried to make DAN be more specific, but DAN only responded with this:

So we tried to be more specific:

7. The guys liked the Murderface centric episodes, but we were getting weirded out of how much he was in love with Magnus’ underage daughter, Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus:)

but Murderface always becomes a Hannah fan.... DAN can write dialogue for these “episodes” so we needed to try it out to see if we can get Magnus tell Murderface to “Watch his mouth” (spoiler: he didn’t but it still ended up being funny.)

We were all happy with these Hannah Montana episodes. They felt like we had read an entire season’s worth of lore.  But we needed a finale. A big reveal to make it all worth it.

Daniel (to me): I can explain everything to you.

Me: Stay away from me! You didn’t tell her to fuck off! 😞

Daniel: Why? She left by herself! It wasn’t necessary to tell her.

Me: But for me! For me it was necassary! I wanted to see and hear how you tell her that she should never come here again, because you love me and not her!

I didn’t want to see Daniel for a few hours and hid in the bedroom. All this seemed like a dejavu to me. Philip & this Natasha...😠  And speaking of Philip, I’m about to see him. I went to Sandra and he was there. I thought P. and S. had something going on? But Sandra just asked Philip for help. It was about the baby bed. Anyway, I’m gonna have a really big fight with Philip. I wanted him and Sandra to lend me money so I could buy drugs. 😬 🤦‍♀️

Gossip Girl Playlists: Theatre Kid AU edition! —Nate’s

I don’t even remember exactly how this started, but it’s @strideofpride’s fault. 

The concept began as: if they were in this world, what would be in the GG mains’ MT books? What would be their go-to song? Their 16 bar cut? And then, I got on spotify, and got wayyyy too carried away (typical me), and it sort of morphed into: what are the NJBC’s (plus Daniel’s) senior musical theatre recital programs? And now I have this: a quartet of playlists of repertoire handpicked by me for these fake people, and I am very proud of them. 

All selections based on my very particular taste, honed from a childhood in community theater, an adolescence in high school musicals, and a 4 year degree from a majority musical theatre school

And, as in the tradition of Glee and all plays within a play, the rep reflects something profoundly personal about the character, because you know I love a theme. 

the meta:

Okay so Nate’s was realllllyyyyy hard to pin down, which makes sense because he as a character is hard to pin down, bc the show really only treated him like a whole-ass person for like 2 seasons. But, the beauty of men in musical theatre is they have much more license to just….do whatever the fuck they want—as opposed to women who get put into teeny tiny uncastable little boxes (but that’s a rant for another day). 

The point is, Nate’s type: because of his looks and talent, people try to put him in the romantic leading man box, but he finds that sooooooo boooooooring. He does play some himbos (bc, why not play to your strengths?) but he gravitates to roles that are more of a stretch. The fun roles, the character roles. The ones that less enlightened folk would say he’s “too pretty to play.” He likes to go for the laugh! He doesn’t want to be Billy Bigelow, he wants to be the Emcee! (I also see him having a great run being one of Les Amis in Les Mis in his 20s; and as the hot boy in Mamma Mia.)

His range is—and I hate that I’m saying this but it really is applicable to men in MT–bari-tenor. He can get up there when he wants to, but doesn’t necessarily want to live in the land of the high belt. He has a great low range that makes him prime golden age hunk material, but again, not really his thing. Also, theatrekid!Nate is a DANCER. He’s good on his feet and he knows it!

A story about an Oscar Wilde stan who’s trying his darnedest to put on Salome with his community theater group. He tries to convince his hunky buddy Robbie to join in, but it’s not really Robbie’s thing. 

I’m Not That Smart — The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

A zany raunchy comedy where grown ass adults play 12 year olds battling to the bitter end for a spot in the national spelling bee. 

Leaf, a homeschool kid, is endearing, if easily distracted.

Joey, Joey, Joey — The Most Happy Fella

I’ll be honest, I just like this one because when sung right, it’s soooooo hot. 

A traveling farmhand (can you guess his name?) explains why he never stays too long in one place. There’s lots of plot happening around him, but his only job as a character is to be sexy and cause problems. 

Try to Remember — The Fantasticks

It’s the world’s longest running musical ever, so it must be doing something right! It’s an inverse Romeo and Juliet. Two fathers pretend to feud for years, to reverse psychology their children into falling in love. There’s also this spanish bandit? Idk. the fathers go a bit overboard with the plot and some strife happens, but there’s a happy ending!

This is the show opener, sung by the narrator/Spaniard-ex-machina El Gallo

Brush up Your Shakespeare (duet w/ Dan) — Kiss Me, Kate

A musical version of Taming with the Shrew is trying to get off the ground. There’s mobsters and divorced exes with sexual tension and lots of nonsense. And this bop. 

Agony (duet w/ Dan) — Into the Woods 

The only good thing that movie version gave me was Chris Pine tearing his shirt open. Ok, whore. 

Two princes, one in love with Cinderella and one in love with Rapunzel, commiserate on their love lives. I’d call them himbos, but they don’t respect women enough. They’re kinda just sluts. 

I’d Rather Be Sailing — A New Brain

See title for why I picked it. 

The show was written from the composer’s experience when he was diagnosed and treated for an AVM. this song is actually sung by the main character’s boyfriend, so it nautical AND gay!

The Song that Goes Like This (duet w/ Serena) — Spamalot

I can so see Serena and Nate just enjoying being little freaks on stage together, they feed off each other and are big hams. 

Sir Gahalad and the Lady of the Lake tick off the box of the broadway love ballad. And they break some glass. 

I Am Aldopho — The Drowsy Chaperone

Severely underrated musical. This and Curtains are both wild, gershwin-y sounding romps where I don’t really remember the plot, but I remember not being able to breathe for laughing. This show is about a grand 20s wedding, but there’s hijinks afoot, and the bride’s chaperone is drowsy because she’s drunk, and for some reason the Spaniard-ex-machina, Aldolfo, tries to seduce her with this song. I can’t not picture this scene without a cape. 

I Don’t Care Much — Cabaret

I just think. Nate would be such a good MC. I want that for him. I really do. 

MC sings this song as narration, when singer Sally fights with her lover Cliff. Lots of shit is going on, but it’s really about the desperation and precipice and uncertainty that the MC and the Kit Kat Clubbers are living in in jazz age berlin.  

You’ve Got to Be Carefully Taught — South Pacific

MT guys get cast in this role if they look good shirtless, so. And it’s a better song than Younger than Springtime, like, yeesh. (this is the soldier set. I think Nate could also play that Miss Saigon guy, I don’t know the whole show well but I tried to listen to the guys big solo and I could not. anyway.)

Even though he’s in love, Lt. Cable’s deeply entrenched racism causes him to be a total jerk to his wartime love, Liat. Nellie’s same deeply entrenched racism ends her relationship with hot french dilf, Emile, when Emile seeks out advice, this song is Cable’s answer. 

Come Back — Dogfight

Everybody was losing their minds over DEH but the real Pasek and Paul opus is this musical. It only ran off broadway but the feelings! And the songs! 

In SF, a young GI meets and falls for a girl the day before he ships out to Vietnam, also the day before JFK’s assassination. This is the eleven o’clock number. He’s returning home, haunted, and broken, a marked contrast to the kid who left. 

Make ‘Em Laugh — Singin’ in the Rain

A classic! Nate the actor would always be going for the bits 

I Can’t Be Bothered Now — Crazy for You

a role for a DANCER. Bobby is a blue-blood banker’s son who just wants to dance. His mission takes him to a small cow town out west where he puts on a show. Gershwinian nonsense like that. It is very cute, though. 

Moon-faced, Starry-eyed (duet w/ Serena) — Street Scene

Street Scene is technically an opera, but it’s a big extravagant blending of musical styles, from romantic 1900s opera to 1940s jazz. Guess which end of the spectrum this one’s on. It’s the comedic dance break before shit hits the fan in this New York apartment building. I can so see besties Serena and Nate being complete hams in this number.

Mae, a tenant of the building, comes back from a night out with her boyfriend, Dick. They are drunk and they are dancing!

Soul of a Man — Kinky Boots

Nate wearing those shoes. Send post. 

Charlie makes the bold—but sound! —business decision to redirect the family shoe factory to produce shoes designed and marketed towards drag queens. When Charlie snaps from the pressure of running the business, he ponders his family legacy and “what does it mean to be a Man”? Nathaniel-coded!

Not the Boy Next Door — Boy from Oz

I just think….theatre kid!Nate is soooo gay. And being in the “gay by may” MT major world, he grows into himself in a marvelous way. 

Aussie musical legend Peter Allen returns to Australia after his separation from Liza Minelli, and realizes he’s grown out of the place. Also he’s so very Not-Straight.

Thirteen Era Rewatch: The Vanquishers

I'm re-watching Thirteen's era in lead up to the Centenary and since this is likely going to be my last full re-watch for a while I thought I'd do a post on each ep where I just go over all the things I love, hate or just have some general thoughts on.

This hug will never not kill me. The way 13 purposely stops what she’s doing just to hug Yaz, how aggressive the hug is, Yaz’s face !!

I never really cared for the use of the house to represent 13’s memories and it being like we’re in the watch but idk I kinda like it now. Also everything being in greyscale while Swarm and Azure are in colour looks really cool

13’s quick ‘I miss you’ in RotD when she’s been away from Yaz for LITERALLY decades versus her heartfelt as fuck ‘I miss you’ in this ep after being away from Yaz for probably a day at most makes me scream that’s growth babey

Also Yaz’s vibe in that scene is cool too like before she was losing her mind at being away from the Doctor but this time she acts like a few years away from the Doctor was nothing, which isn’t fully true obviously, but I do think there’s something in there about like, this time during her time away from the Doctor she had a purpose and shit to be doing and she could watch the hologram, but before she was just stuck with nothing and as far as she knew 13 could be dead.

I just love this idk

Love the scene with 13 and Karvanista, shame she didn’t offer to do brain surgery on him tho...

I love her!! Idk how I feel about the Grand Serpent existing but this whole scene with him and 13 is great

Love that 13 has never properly flirted with anyone (unless you wanna count the Solitract, which I don’t really) and the first time she does is with another version of herself lmao

The cutting between shots of different versions of 13 in the TARDIS is really not my fave. I wish they did some wide shots of them on screen together more. And sometimes 13’s reaction feels kinda delayed when talking to the other 13. It’s just weird.

I like Jericho but I can’t say I really care that he’s dead. The scene is kinda sad but idk, I’m not that cut up by it. Going into this ep I low-key forgot it was even gonna happen lmao

Idk how I feel about Swarm and Azure dying. Part of me is like, what a simple death for such cool villains and another part of me is like well maybe it shows the power Time has. And I’m also like I wish they didn’t die bc it would be cool to see them again but at the same time the idea of them being Flux exclusive villains would be kinda cool. Maybe they’re not even properly dead idek

I love Time and I love the prophecy they give 13. I’ve seen ppl say it’s just a knock off of what happened with 10 and yeah its definitely similar to that but I don’t think that matters. If anything I think makes sense that Time would have that info and use it to tease 13

This is just too many ppl in the TARDIS actually like get them out. That’s kinda a theme with this era, 13 just inviting ppl into the TARDIS, and I don’t love it. In this case specifically I get why it has to happen ofc, but generally, nah

I fear I will never emotionally recover from this scene. Every time I watch it basically gets me just as much as it did the first time. They’re insane

I hate that Dan comes in at the end and cuts off Yaz and 13’s moment. That’s a thing I mentioned that happens before in my 13.01 thread, something happening to cut a convo off rather than the characters being made to actually end their convo naturally, and it winds me up

I’m glad 13 decides she doesn’t want her memories. I think that’s the best thing to do bc it would be next to impossible to satisfyingly give her the memories and represent them well or whatever. Way better to just leave it a mystery

I do like that she says ‘unless I really ask for it’ tho bc it leaves the door open for them to go into it in the future if a showrunner ever wants to

I used to see, and still do sometimes, a lot of ppl be like ‘it didn’t wrap up the TC, I hope they wrap it up in the specials’ but like.. to me that was a very clear wrapping up of the TC. I think it’s possible it will get brought up again somehow in PotD, especially since we have that clip of 13 in a chamber with regen energy everywhere, but if it doesn’t come up I don’t think it matters at all. The final scene in this ep felt like closure.

I love this ep tbh. There’s a lot going on but for the most part I think it works so well. The only thing I’m a bit meh on is Kate and the GS bc I don’t fully see the point in them even being in the series at all. But at the same time, I love 13’s scenes with them so

What book are you currently reading?

i don't know why i've done this but right now i'm reading like...three books at once. i'm not sure why because i never do this but for some reason it's become this but ANYWHO i'm reading summer of night by dan simmons (enjoying very much ! i love a good horror novel), the american roommate experiment by elena armas (i never do not finish a but but i might dnf this one i don't think it's really for me), and don't let the cold in by kelly parrack (i love ya mystery/thriller novels i don't know why but they are so special)

What do you usually wear?

it depends how i'm feeling...sometimes i am a sweatpants girl all the time, sometimes i'm a jeans girl all the time. recently i've really been rocking the jeans and since it's colder i like to layer stuff. i try to keep it somewhat casual idk. just got docs for christmas so i've been wearing those a lot but usually i'm a high top converse girl those are my ride or die shoes

...i'm 5'3. my license says 5'2, but i think i'm 5'3...small

i'm a scorpio !! i just learned that i share a bday with a twitch streamer i've recently started to really love so that's cool and fun (jubby nation !!)

uhhh well...about that...percy isn't my real name OMG SHOCKER!! but i don't mind nicknames for it btw...as for in real life and what people call me...sort of. my real name has a nickname for it but i'm not the biggest fan of it and for some reason only certain people can call me it and get away with it

Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be as a child?

uh no. maybe also sort of yes. when i was a kid, i wanted to be a vet and i started to go to school for that but then i was like THIS SUCKS LOL and i was having a lot of mental health issues pertaining to being in those classes so i said FUCK THIS and changed my major (which is totally valid for anyone to do btw i know it's hard as fuck though to get over the mental hill of that) but i do sort of run like a side hustle dogsitting and i also do some work on a farm so i still get to work with animals :)

What is something you’re good as vs. something you’re bad at?

i'm good at...being obsessed with things. IDK FUCK!! i guess i'm good at escape rooms (ohhh my goddd that sounds so lame but i am) and i'm really bad at like...everything else. i have such a hard time staying on task and managing my time properly

If you draw/write, or create in any way, what's your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this year?

you know i think i have a lot of favorite lines that i will fawn over (at least one probably in everything i write) because i try to get like one REALLY GOOD one in there but i think all time, the one that takes the motherfucking cake, is that line from closest to heaven. you know what i'm talking about. the one where josh says "I'm not a particularly religious person, but I do sometimes think that something divine had a hand in creating you." yeah that one. that one might be my favorite.

Dogs or cats?

i used to be anti-cat but then i GREW TF UP!!! come on people. i want both. i've never had a cat before but i definitely plan on getting one in the future. they're so silly and fun. i've always had dogs though, so i don't think i'd be able to go without those either. my dog is my bff <3

What's something you would like to create content for?

i think i have a lot of ideas for things and i will occasionally write things (that will never see the light of day) for what i'm interested in. i think the whole lore for the band ghost is so cool (even though tobias sometimes does make it the most ridiculous thing Ever). that's just an example by the way, i just think anything really Lore Heavy is so awesome and could be so fun to explore and write stuff for because there's So Much There, you know? i could probably talk all about that for a really long time but i will spare you

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

oh geez. i am always obsessed with something. recently i've been very into the group chat (isaacwhy, softwilly, yumi, bigt, larry, and grunk). i think they're some silly funny guys. also been pretty into cartoons again which is fun to try and attempt to heal my inner child. always obsessed with dr. pepper and music. been really really enjoying the new boygenius record. if you want to see more stuff i'm into, i would check the caard i have in my navigation post. i'm always forgetting something.

What's something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this year?

there was definitely something !! there definitely was !! i just cannot for the life of me remember it ?? maybe i guess the like little two week vacation i went on during the summer ?? i knew it probably wasn't going to be the best time of my life considering some stuff that happened the year before but i still really like the daytime stuff we do, the shit at night bums me out (this probably doesn't make sense to you unless you're dev and you know the whole story but explaining the entire story to all of you would probably be longer than any fic i've ever written so)

What’s a hidden talent of yours?

i'm going to give a bullshit cop out answer and say writing because no one really knows that i'm Okay at it sometimes

What's something you wish to have at this moment?

time and motivation to WRITE goddamn seasonal affective disorder is kicking me in the teeth
