Ok, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but to anyone who is unhappy about Wanda’s arc in MoM:
*Spoilers ahead*
ETA: I don’t think 616 Wanda is dead, but I still have to cover all of my bases
As a longtime fan of the comics, I am more than familiar with the song and dance of Wanda oscillating between being a hero, an antihero, and a villain. Changing sides has been the story of her character since her origins as a member of the Brotherhood alongside Pietro and Magneto and continued on through the decades with her going crazy, turning evil, and/or dying probably once a decade ever since.
From the beginning, Lizzie has said that she wanted to see some of Wanda’s most iconic moments, ie. the “no more mutants” line from House of M. She WANTS to see House of M. She wants to touch on those infamous moments of villainy that are so well-known and loved. She wants to portray Wanda in a comic-accurate way (sans the sexualization) because she sees how unique Wanda is and how fun she is to play. From the very beginning Lizzie has done her best to champion Wanda being treated correctly as a complex, troubled young woman who has lost everything and been wronged by the world over and over. She has helped tremendously in crafting MCU Wanda as a well-rounded character who went from forgettable in the minds of many to absolutely adored thanks to Wandavision. I remember seeing Infinity War and Endgame in theaters and being one of the only ones cheering when she beat Thanos’s ass, meanwhile at my MoM screening 80% (or more) of people were wearing Wanda/Wandavision shirts and cheering when she came on screen.
Wandavision gave us Wanda processing her grief in all of the expected stages and with special attention to denial. When we last saw her, she had flown off with the Darkhold and was hearing Billy & Tommy calling for her during what we now know was likely dreamwalking/at least her peeking in on the other universes. Anyone familiar with the Darkhold will know its immense power and how it corrupts those who use it and Wanda is no different. Especially as, when we saw her, she was heavily grieving the loss of her brother, husband, and children all over again after the collapse of Westview. She was vulnerable and desperate, and seeing what Agatha could do with the Darkhold paired with her lack of knowledge and its promise to help drew her in. She was, once again, taken advantage of in a vulnerable moment. The only difference here was that it was the Darkhold and Cthon’s writings rather than another human being.
At least as of right now, I do not see her characterization and arc in MoM as a step back. I believe she is what she said she is: a mother who is beyond desperate to have her children back because she has NO ONE ELSE. None of the other Avengers have shown their faces to try and help her. Even Stephen only showed up when he needed help. Wanda was alone with a book filled with dark magic and abilities she was only just beginning to understand; how could anyone expect that to end well?
Wanda is my favorite MCU character and my favorite comic character. She always has been and always will be. I am so thrilled to have gotten to see so much more of her in the MCU between Wandavision and MoM, and yes it did hurt to see her in so much agony and I didn’t want her to succeed in getting America or her powers, but I also understand and appreciate why (I think) they continued her story the way they did. I am going to tell myself over and over that she isn’t actually dead because I can’t imagine her being gone from the MCU, but I also think that Feige knows full-well how loved she is and how integral she can/will be to continuing to thread the multiverse storyline together. Especially with the introduction of mutants.
So, uh, if you’ve read this far… thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I’ll probably have more to say later once I’m no longer sleep deprived, but I hope this all makes sense for now.

if you r still taking dialogue prompts "you look like a mess" for luna & magneto or pietro & magneto or pietro & luna, your choice 🙏 hope you r having a great day
HI. sorry. things happened!!! your prompt found me at a funny time (i was already writing luna and erik and tommy) so i was like hey. we should add pietro in it. so it became the last scene of this fic, where tommy, luna, and erik go to a pottery class together. THANK YOU FOR THE PROMPT I OWE U THIS ENDING! :3
“There’s like, so many classes left,” Tommy says as they step out. Despite the apron, they’re all covered in clay—and Tommy will never stop finding clay underneath his fingernails. “Are you guys sticking around for the next ones?”
“I am!” Luna says. “I’m fully in. You, grandpa?”
“As long as you’ll have me.”
“Then we’re good, I think,” Tommy smiles. “Plus, we need to finish our projects. I don’t like unfinished business.”
“I couldn't agree more,” Erik says. Then, staring around, he continues: “How are you two going home?”
“I can just run there,” Tommy says. “And Luna—”
“I texted my dad, ‘cause I’m staying the night, so he should be—”
Swoosh!
“—right here,” Luna announces with a smile. “Hi, daddy.”
“Luna,” Pietro says, fixating on her first, and then taking in the rest. “Nephew. Father. You—you look like a mess.”
“Clay time,” Tommy puts his hands up. “We are never going to be free from this.”
“Clay?” Pietro opens his arm for Luna to sneak under. He half-hugs her affectionately, and there’s a little pang in Tommy’s chest. What was it Luna called it? Yearning. “And you didn’t tell me? I love pottery. Most manual work, really, but this one is my favorite.”
“I had no idea!” Luna looks up at him, shining a little. When Tommy looks at Erik, maybe, maybe, he’s yearning, too. “Tommy texted me about it, I said yes, then he spent the whole day overworking me—”
“I was the one working—”
“Then we ran into grandpa, who’s also into it,” Luna summarizes. “There are a lot more classes left if you want to join us.”
Maybe involuntarily, Pietro’s eyes go to Erik’s, then down to Luna again. Too fast for Erik to catch it, but slow enough for Tommy to see it happen frame by frame. What would their colors look like? How does Luna stand it?
“I’ll think about it,” Pietro says. Whether he’s honest or not, Tommy doesn’t know. “Right. We’ll be taking our leave, then.”
“You don’t have to be so awkward about it, uncle,” Tommy tries to relieve him from the clear tense situation he’s in, but it falls a bit flat. “We’re not going to ask you for a hug.”
It luckily makes Pietro laugh. “I’ll drink to that. See you, then.”
Luna lets go of Pietro to hug Tommy, then to hug Erik. “Bye! See you next class!”
Next second, they’re gone.
Erik’s shoulders relax—and it’s only now that Tommy notices he had been tense before.
“You, uh,” Tommy begins. He could leave, but that’d be wrong, to leave him all alone in his brooding. Something about his crushing sadness reminds him of what he feels for Master P. Plus, he missed Erik. He doesn’t see him often. He might as well shoot his shot. “Want to get dinner, grandpa? Unless you’re already sick of me, which is totally understandable—”
Erik nods before he finishes. “Dinner sounds lovely, Thomas.”
Tommy carries him, ignoring his protests, and runs off to find the best restaurant he can.

What are your thoughts on House of M v2 (2015)? I swear I saw someone say they don’t like it but I can’t remember why
I like it just fine. The nice thing about the 2015 Secret Wars event is that you don't have to take a lot of worlds it depicts too seriously. They're mostly fun AU ideas or riffs on established alternate continuities that, in this case, aren't strictly canon and aren't going to have any lasting impact. Obviously, you still need to be critical of certain things, but my point is, the stakes were a lot lower for titles like House of M or 1602, and they were able to leave a lot of their problematic elements at the door and just focus on the fun, interesting stuff. 1602 is probably the better example-- they took a very heavy, very challenging depiction of colonial history that made a lot of offensive choices in the original text, and they turned it into a really fun Shakespeare & Marlowe fantasy pastiche.
So, Secret Wars: House of M (2015) is a fun little AU miniseries that asks "what if the Magnus clan was a dysfunctional royal family" without the context or baggage of the original event. Yes, there are still challenges-- the premise of a mixed Romani & Jewish family forming a quasi-fascist monarchy replete with "education camps" is a big problem, and I wish that it had been interrogated more closely. I do appreciate that this story removes the layered sexism and ableism from the original-- Wanda is full herself here, and it's actually one of the most earnest depictions of her as a regular mom and a good parent to Billy and Tommy since 1989.
Tumblr media
The most frustrating thing about this comic, for me, is that none of the characters appear to actually learn anything, and no real change is brought to their world or their nation. Magneto remains secure in his rulership. His children and grandchildren are allowed to continue their internal conflicts and minor rebellions because they've also been brought closer together as a family-- it seems sweet, but it effectively defangs any true rebellion that could have occurred within the court. They no longer pose a threat to the power structure, and the actual oppressed people of this world are no better off.
But none of that really matters, because, by the end of the summer of 2015, that world had ceased to exist. If you can disengage your political ideals far enough to enjoy fantasy media about court intrigue and messy royal families-- as many people do-- you can enjoy Secret Wars: House of M for what it was-- a fun miniseries that was, in many ways, a swan song for the Magnus family. Remember, the AXIS retcon had taken place the year prior, so this is the last time we saw them all together as a "true family." In a lot of ways, indulging in an almost-guilt free HoM AU felt like fanservice, but I think a lot of fans at the time were happy to have something to look forward to.

Reading Sabretooth and the Exiles just made me angry all over again at Toad’s fate in Trial of Magneto.  I don’t blame Wanda or Magneto as characters (well, I do blame Magneto a little, he’s got a long history of treating Toad like shit), I blame Williams for thinking that it was a good idea to include an innocent man getting sentenced to mutant hell (and possibly being coerced into his role) in a Wanda redemption story.  Yes, there’s nice interaction between Wanda and Magneto, and now she is Wanda the Redeemer and that’s great and LET TOAD OUT OF THE PIT YOU LYING FUCKERS!
Way to sour the redemption of a character that’s been far too maligned by Marvel for too long by making her complicit in sending an innocent man to the Pit, Williams.  You could have just not done that.
The whole series also makes the debate about Curse and Nature Girl over in X-Men Green all the more ridiculous.  We’ve got people like Kate and Illyana wanting to show mercy to two characters who have been gleefully and remorselessly killing random people because they are “just kids,” while Oya (who I think is also still a kid, I don’t know her exact age now) got tossed in the Pit for killing people while trying to defend Krakoa.  I know these two series are by two different writers, and Sabretooth is specifically about showing the problems and hypocrisy of the Krakoan justice system, but damn.

this is more for curiosity than any submission i have in mind, but how does it work if a character's powerset is categorized as an element featured in the tournament in-universe, but in practice it gets used for something completely different from the tournament categories?
like, vriska serket of homestuck infamy is the thief of light and gets special powers that relate to light as a result, but homestuck's element system is so broad and esoteric that every time she uses light-based powers could easily be classified as luck manipulation rather than anything that obviously relates to actual light in some way.
It’s a mix between in-universe classification and how it works visually/metaphorically/scientifically. The in-universe classification usually takes precedent but I can allow a character with a more vague power-set if the argument is convincing enough.
An example would be magneto from marvel. Some people would classify him as a Ferromancer and others an Electromancer. I’m more convinced with the Ferromancer side because, even though he does have some electrical manipulation powers, his metal manipulation is much more well-known and is his most common use of his magnetic powers. Here’s an excerpt from the official marvel website:
Tumblr media
Yes he does have many different powers (Electromancy, Ferromancy, AND EVEN Luxomancy) his metal manipulation is most well-known and used.
I’m not as familiar with homestuck as I am with marvel so it’s harder for me to decide.
I will say Luxomancy isn’t just holy based but it can also be actual light, like brightness or shining a light so bright it melts someone kind of light. So if the light is because of luck manipulation but is still “light” then I think the character is eligible.
As I’ve said before some elements can be pretty vague and loosey-goosey at times, so please, if any of yall disagree, on essentially what would be considered semantics, please don’t get too mad at me or at anyone else. We’re all human and this tournament is just for fun.

9 people you want to get to know better
Tagged by @stellanslashgeode, thanks!
Last Song: True Trans Soul Rebel by Against Me! (haha I am Going Through It)
Currently Reading: The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Leguin, which is good, but I’m really struggling to get into it
Current Fic: The Demetri and Eli Take a Gay Little Roadtrip to Find Miguel series by Summerphlox, who I think is @demetriandelibinaryboyfriends on tumblr (could be wrong here)
Currently Watching: The Ahsoka show, with extreme trepidation and lingering disappointment, rewatching Star Wars Rebels, which is not helping the Ahsoka bitterness, just finished all 5 seasons of Cobra Kai yesterday and already writing a ridiculous long fic that I’ll never publish for it, and trying to make my way through Leverage Season 2. Busy summer for someone who doesn’t watch TV a lot
Next on my Watchlist: Don’t have anything, so it’ll probably end up being another X2/X-men the Last Stand rewatch (yes I like X3, I know, I feel like it’s kind of impossible to disagree with Magneto in it. Also Allerdrake) because I am in a Mood and the ‘What’s your real name?’ scene means so so much to me as a trans guy
Current Obsession: Cobra Kai, baby. Haven’t binged a show this fast since I was an isolated, traumatized 12-year old clinging to Rebels for dear life, which says some things about me, I think. But the gay karate show (which is trying very hard not to be gay and isn’t very accurate with the karate) is holding me down by the throat like the s4 haircut scene and I am in deep. The fanfic is great, the fandom is kind of dormant, so there’s no drama, and I actually know shit about karate! Restraining myself from creating a Cobra Kai Star Wars au or a Star Wars Cobra Kai au
Gonna do some no-pressure tags with people I don’t know well bc I’m bad at talking to people, so you don’t have to respond if you don’t want to

I’m back ;) I’m the anon who loved your x-men apocalypse animation especially. Really enjoyed your latest one as well! Gorgeous animation - loved the Jean Grey/Phoenix animation! The tiktok of Erik imagining/sitting down and taking to Peter is also a fave of mine - it did make me sad about the lack of Evan Peters - Michael Fassbender/ Magneto - Quicksilver scenes in the movies. Their dynamic could have been so great!
Yes, Dark Phoenix was a real mess. I do still absolutely adore the space scene though - it looks amazing and seeing the x-mens’ powers work together is just everything. Wish there was a lot more of that across basically all the film tbh. Loved seeing Quicksilver’s abilities in zero g! But despite how much I love that scene I can’t say that the movie is good. Honestly the frequent and unnecessarily large time skips generally bothers me - they robbed us of seeing the characters develop. I also can’t believe that Peter wouldn’t tell Erik for almost 10 years after the apocalypse incident.
I did try to brain storm a few ways of Erik finding out about Peter that could potentially be dramatically/visually interesting? One of my ideas was that for some reason, maybe due to Erik seeing red due to grief of losing Raven, Erik is wreaking absolute havoc and is trying to kill Jean. But the x-men have some sort of plan or just needs to freeze Erik so they can then stop Jean without killing her. And the scene would be Peter using his speed to try to get the helmet off Erik so that Charles could communicate with/or freeze Erik. And then because of Erik’s vast power he would be able to stop Peter in his tracks (similar to Jean in the film) and there would be a scene (similar to your animation) of him “grabbing” Peter in the air - throwing him up against the wall of the train(possibly?) to stop him, angry and pissed off and there would be this moment of Peter bracing himself genuinely worried he’s about to be killed - and Charles or someone else would panicked about what Erik might be about to do as he is blinded by anger - yell out the fact that Peter is his son. Perhaps for a second Erik would see Nina in place of Peter for a brief second as he recognises the familiar resemblance (as he is staring at another child of his in danger). And then of course he wouldn’t hurt him but instead freeze due to shock. What do you think? Too much? A scenario like this would kinda only work if the time skip is much shorter - maybe just a year. I quite like fics that address the fact that Peter is probably on some level afraid of Erik when he goes full Magneto. I like the scene when Peter claims to not fear him to his mother (which imho reveals that he in fact actually does). I think it adds an interesting layer to Peter’s feelings about telling him. I don’t think Erik would kill him - even if no one revealed their familial relationship - but that uncertainty in such a scene could kinda be dramatically interesting I think? I dunno, sorry if I’m rambling - I just quite like discussing alternative scenarios with other fans :) and wanted to hear your thoughts.
Tumblr media
Ahh welcome back Anon!! Always a pleasure to talk X-Men with you! 💕
And aww thank you! I loved working on the Oleander animatic! The Phoenix was especially fun to animate, and of course the hug made all the hard work worth it haha. And awww yes! I love that edit too, it uses an audio from Gotham Knights where Batman is talking about Nightwing and how proud he is of him. As soon as I heard it I knew it would fit really well with a good timeline Dadneto, and I was definitely inspired by my fic The Hardest Part Is Leaving You which I had finished not long before making that edit!
Oh yeah, the effects in Dark Phoenix are actually pretty solid (at least most of the effects surrounding Jean and the Phoenix at least). Would have loved to see more of the X-Men as an actual team as well, but alas, the writers have robbed us of that yet again 😭 Guess that's what we're here for lol.
And OOOH Anon I love that idea! Definitely not too much, I think that's a great mix of angsty and intense but also heartfelt! And yes, a shorter timeskip between Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix is always appreciated haha. That's such a fair point about Peter being afraid of Erik when he's in 'Magneto' mode too. Usually I write them post reveal so I mostly play around with the concept of what their relationship is like after many years of bonding and trust has been built, which means Peter is rarely if ever scared for himself, but more likely scared of what Erik could do to others in the case Peter ever got hurt. Younger Peter would definitely struggle with that though I bet!
Thanks for sharing your ideas with me Anon, I love hearing them! If you ever turn them into a fic let me know, I'd love to read it! :D Have an awesome day!

X-Men ‘97 Spoilers Below the Cut
I don’t know about y’all but I’m feeling TOTALLY NORMAL about the way the most recent episode ended.
Glad to see Magneto’s still around, but damn I love me a fucked up homoerotic borderline torture scene sometimes.
Can’t wait to see him waste this dude.
Also, I am not up to speed on all the X-Men lore but don’t they have time travel? I feel like if there was ever a time to use it, it would be now? I was just really surprised to see them burying everyone.
Magneto is my #1 X-Man tho. Really digging his vibe right now with all the fucked up political bullshit going on in real life.
—-
X-Men spoilers have ended. Now I’m just yapping.
—-
I feel like this show hits the LGBTQ+ experience beats pretty well at times. I’m behind the times on the rep there. I was never super into X-Men, though I watched the cartoons growing up. It took me a while to delve back into the movies too because I got hardcore body horror freaked out when that dude got liquified in the first one.
My tolerance for that kind of thing used to be waaaay lower than it is now. I had to leave the theater because the gore at the beginning of Zombieland gave me a literal panic attack, haha. I didn’t start watching The Walking Dead until like 2015 for the same reason. Thankfully that kind of thing doesn’t really bother me anymore. It’s weird now to think back to how it used to.
Of course movie theaters in general used to give me panic attacks. It was almost a guarantee for a while that if I went into a movie theater, I was gonna have one. Zombieland was the first and maybe only time I ever had to leave because of one though. Usually I’d just pretend like nothing was happening as far as my friends were concerned and just force my way through them.
Tbh, Ted Lasso was the first time I felt I saw a really good representation of what a panic attack could feel like. Internally it’s like your world is falling apart around you, but externally it can be pretty innocuous unless you’re having major physical symptoms. If you have them often enough, you get pretty good at masking them. I’ve had them loads of times around family and friends and didn’t tell anyone.
Thankfully I don’t have panic attacks nearly that often anymore. And yes, I 100% probably should have said something to my loved ones at the time. But it can be hard when you know you’re experiencing something that isn’t rational and there’s not really anything they can do to help except ride the wave alongside you.
True, some triggers for panic attack can be pretty distressing. But I’ve definitely had them other times where I was just annoyed as hell that my body decided to randomly throw an anxiety party and it’d just be a matter of waiting it out.
Tbh, birth control really helped with mine for a while. I had really bad PMDD and my panic attacks were almost like clockwork with my cycle. I used to dread the impending doom I’d feel as I got closer to the date. I went from having panic attacks multiple times a month to only every so often. Antidepressants have been a godsend on that front too. I had no idea they also worked with anxiety because I never took them specifically for it until 2022.
I got massively sidetracked, but I really enjoy talking about mental health on here. It helps me reflect and process a lot. Sometimes it feels like just casually talking about it takes away some of fear and self-stigma away. That’s also one of the main things I’ve been learning about in therapy, not engaging in avoidance thoughts/behaviors when it comes to my OCD.
That also reminds me of what Marcus says a lot on LPOTL. “Mental illness isn’t your fault, but it is your responsibility.” It fucking sucks, but it’s true. In my experience, there’s a huge difference between interacting with someone who’s actively trying to live with their mental illness rather than choosing to ignore it and refusing to seek treatment.
Not that seeking and finding the right treatment and meeting your mental illness head on are easy things to do. It’s a bit privileged to say that. But as someone who didn’t get treatment for most of their life because they didn’t realize they needed treatment (“my symptoms aren’t that bad, it’s just a little anxiety, my prior attempts to seek help blew up in my face, x family member has this and is fine, etc”), lemme just tell ya I bet I am a much more enjoyable person to be around now.
I’m lucky in that I don’t believe I’ve ever lost any family or friends over my previously untreated mental illness. However, I know that I’m a hell of a lot happier and fun to be around when I’m on my medications and receiving regular therapy. I’m far less likely to subject others to my doom spirals and obsessive thoughts. I would get sick of talking about them, so I can only imagine how my captive audience felt.
Sure, there’s more I could be doing, but at least I have a pretty solid foundation under me now. I’m hoping to continue to build on it in time.

My Magnetic Resonance Personality
I spent a lot of time in medical facilities, usually as a visitor, occasionally as a patient. And yet--this will come as a surprise to my fourteen regular readers--I've never had an MRI. Until a few years ago. Oh, plenty of X-rays, and a biopsy. The MRI was oh, so much more fun, in a world where "fun" is relative.  The Magnetic Resonance Imaging test was to find whether there might be cancer in my prostate, and also, I suppose, to confirm my head wasn't up there. As I said earlier, there was no cancer, which doesn't mean there were no surprises. We were told by various armchair testing experts that the MRI would take around twenty minutes. luckily, my wife brought a book with her anyway. It would take an hour, the med people said as they presented me with the only good surprise of the day: scrubs to wear, instead of one of those weird back exposing half-shirts you couldn't tie shut with duct tape and Superglue. The people there (who were very nice, by the way), asked a laundry list of questions designed to make sure I had no metal on me. There was a pause when I told them I had a piece of metal in my upper chest. Where was it from? I told them "Nam", with a fairly straight face, because the truth is just too mundane. "Well," one replied, "if your Viet Cong shrapnel starts to heat up, or if any other area catches fire, let us know."
Tumblr media
I've seen metal fly into the air before, and it's always very exciting.
(FYI, I was thirteen when the Vietnam War ended. I really need to update that particular lame joke.) I was also told not to touch my hands to each other, or I might look like one of those movie superheroes generating lightning between their fingers. As you slide into the little tube, they give you a bulb to hold in one hand. Squeezing it sets of an alarm. One reason for this is because you're packed into that thing so tightly even people with no fear of enclosed spaces feel like the lowest sardine in the pack. They put headphones on me, because the MRI machine makes more noise than a reelected Congressman on his third drink. I was looking forward to some nice music, or any music, but these were just regular headphones--the music ones were on back order. Instead I was serenaded by the grinding and buzzing of a machine so loud I heard it plainly even with headphones and earplugs. It was like trying to sleep in a jet engine. And every once in awhile the thing suddenly moved, which no one warned me about. I thought some giant was squeezing me out onto his toothbrush. But the weirdest thing that happened was right after they turned it on, when someone started tugging on that bulb in my hand. I was startled, because no one was in the room. My hand was floating into the air, as if the Force was trying to get me to lift my car to a closer parking spot.
Then I realized it wasn't my hand lifting into the air--it was my ring. It was trying to float away and take my finger with it, which feels just as weird as it sounds.
Tumblr media
This very ring, which, yes, could have come from Uranus.
It turns out rings are usually not of a material affected, so Magneto can't try to make you dance from one arm. MRI technicians often don't bother with them. But my wife, knowing my interest in astronomy, got me a wedding ring made from a meteorite--an iron meteorite. Magneto could go to town on me.
After that all went well. The sliver of steel is still in my chest--Gulf War?--and I passed the time by plotting out a new novel. It's going to be about a guy who gets transported to another world through an MRI machine. Or Magneto.
Tumblr media
Remember: Every time you buy a book, a Terminator gets stuck to an MRI machine. Save John Conner.

#Watch x men apocalypse free online 123 movie
If you love X-Men, as well as apocalyptic superhero movies, then this is the film for you. Would you recommend it? Of course! Like I said, it may not top the previous X-Men films but that doesn't mean it is terrible. Also, the way Apocalypse murders people is pretty brutal and frightening. We see his past and his present and why he turned into a dark and yet powerful supervillain. It almost felt as he was the main antagonist in this film. We also get more connected with Magneto and why he hates humanity so much. There is a lot of death and depressing moments you will feel. He acts like a wild animal and slashes anyone who gets in his way and even this guy who begged Wolverine for mercy got his face ripped off! How dark is this film? It is actually pretty dark. In the 1980s the X-Men must defeat an ancient all-powerful mutant, En Sabah Nur, who intends to thrive through bringing destruction to the world. With James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult. It is also based on the real weapon x origin of Wolverine. X-Men: Apocalypse: Directed by Bryan Singer. Is Wolverine in this? Yes! He may have a small cameo but it is a damn excellent cameo! When Wolverine enters the screen, the film basically transforms into an R-Rated action scene. I could basically compare this Apocalypse to a wimp who cosplays as Apocalypse with really good make up. If he was CGI like Thanos from Guardians of the Galaxy, he would've looked more threatening and tyrannical. How is Apocalypse the character? Honestly, I feel that Apocalypse was a little weaker than his comic version. And yes, Quicksilver returns and tops his amazing scene from X-Men: Days of Future's Past. We also have many amazing recurring members from the previous movies such as the young Professor X who was amazing, a slight older Magneto, Mystique who is also a little older and Beast who is still young as ever. We have a younger version of Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler and Storm. Are the younger versions of the X-Men in this film? Yes.
#Watch x men apocalypse free online 123 movie
You decide whether the movie is good or not. Don't be scared to see the movie all because critics are making this movie look bad, go see it for yourself for your own opinion. How good is this movie? It may not top the previous X-Men movies but that doesn't mean the movie is terrible. I will say specific parts that I loved and thought about this film and how I would recommend it. I have always loved superhero movies about the end of days. I was so hyped when I heard they were creating an X-Men movie with Apocalypse in it. I loved all the X-Men movies, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Technoblade’s purpose in the political narrative of the Dream SMP
I can’t sleep so I decided to finally write the post I’ve been struggling with for literal months, except way more casual because I can’t be bothered anymore and also I’m sleep deprived.
So the thing is: to me the DSMP storyline has always been primarily political, probably because I was introduced to it through Wilbur who was definitely going for political, and also because I’m just generally interested in political narratives right now. Obviously I appreciate the character work and the personal relationship stuff, that’s what makes it more interesting than just dry allegory, but when it comes down to it, this story is about politics to me. So that’s the angle I’m going to approach it from.
Also not to spoil the conclusions here, but I’m an anarchist, that’s my lens.
(Obviously all of this is about rp from here on out unless otherwise specified)
Basically the situation as Techno joins the server is this: L'Manburg exists as an autonomous nation and is de facto independent although not officially recognised by the Dream SMP. The self-appointed president Wilbur Soot decides to hold an election and rig it in order to consolidate his power over the nation he founded and he gets his VP Tommyinnit to join in on the plan. Their scheme fails and they end up voted out instead. The new president, Schlatt, immediately establishes himself as an authoritarian figure and exiles Wilbur and Tommy.
A couple of points on what the election arc demonstrates:
1: the appearance of democracy can be used for distinctly undemocratic purposes.
2: even if the elections aren’t rigged, the electoral system could be massively flawed and end up favouring a party that in fact didn’t have the popular vote
3: even if the winning government (the coalition in this case) has the majority vote, that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll actually act according to the popular will.
4: the supporters of the losing parties basically just have to let the majority overrule their wishes, espcially since apparently L’Manburg doesn’t have an established role for an opposition, yikes. That’s actually a MAJOR oversight in the system but I’m not gonna go into that too much.
5: frankly as an anarchist I am just deeply cynical towards representative democracy, and just because you have a token appearance of choice and consent doesn’t mean that it isn’t a hierarchical and authoritarian system. And to be fair, from my point of view this applies even to so-called liberal democracies and progressive parties. Full disclosure: even if L'Manburg was the ideal example of a representative democracy (which it very much isn’t) I would still be opposed to it because I fundamentally do not believe in top down systems, even electoral ones.
6: despite all these flaws, all the characters seem to implicitly accept the electoral system as legitimate. There’s criticism against the actions of individual characters acting within the system, such as Quackity calling out Wilbur for trying to rig the election, but nobody is questioning the system itself.
So at this point I’m sitting there, watching all this go down, and thinking “man, this would be so much more bearable if there was an anarchist point of view being represented in the story.”
And hey, look who IMMEDIATELY SHOWS UP.
Okay, I’m not gonna lie, early installation Technoblade is not the best representation of anarchism. I was mostly rooting for him out of sheer contrarianism initially. I didn’t really even care if it would be another Killmonger/Magneto/Zaheer situation because I’m used to reading against the authorial intent when it comes to these things. Sometimes any representation is better than no representation, even with political ideologies. That’s not to say that him just straight up spouting this hobbesian notion of a “dog-eat-dog world” didn’t grate on me, obviously it did.
That kind of worldview of humanity needing authority in order to prevent chaos and conflict is literally antithetical to anarchism and is the favourite talking point of authoritarians, the least anarchist people there are. It’s literally what people use to argue AGAINST anarchism. I think it’s mostly because cc!Techno obviously wasn’t particularly educated on anarchist thought and was just basically having fun roleplaying with his friends at this point. Which is frustrating but fair enough I guess.
Cynical ideas about human nature are pretty deeply rooted in the mainstream, unfortunately, most people just consider it common sense. And like I said, it’s a huge talking point in the propaganda against anarchism.
(… even though in fact these arguments were originally used against proponents of representative democracy. Hobbes himself was very much a monarchist, the idea of letting normal people vote for their representatives would have been terrifying to him. Like surely the world would descent into a free-for-all war, all against all. Imagine letting commoners have OPINIONS, the horror.)
So yeah, that stuff was pretty ehhhhh. It was basically what I’d expected though: cc!Techno isn’t an anarchist and we just don’t get accurate representation from non-anarchists, ever. What I dared to hope was that Techno’s character would at least stay consistent about his opposition to ALL governments. I was pretty sure that he would, even though it seemed like the majority of the fandom at the time was convinced that he would switch over to Schlatt’s side or something. It would have been a really shitty twist, I would have ragequit immediately. I mean what would have been the entire point of his character then? He might as well have been a random mercenary. Why even have his character be an anarchist if you were just going to make him work for a government?
(ftr this is kinda my biggest problem with the Hypixel Skyblock revolution event lol, honestly I think that was a worse depiction of anarchism than early DSMP Technoblade. I mean the speech was good, but… still became a government official, tho. booooooooo, cringe)
And yes, I was rooting against L'Manburg, obviously, and I would have even if it had meant having to deal with another badly written anarchist villain character. I never understood why people saw L'Manburg as the good guys, they were nationalist and exclusionary and their whole existence was based on trying to scam people for money.
I mean they were definitely funny, they were great entertainers. I have no problems with people rooting for them because they’re fun to watch; I did that for a bit too. But people were starting to get really into the story and talk about Wilbur and Tommy, the corrupt politicians, and the country that literally excluded people based on nationality as the heroes, unironically, which was wild to me. And when Wilbur started his “villain arc” well: people called it a villain arc, as if he hadn’t been pretty much a bad guy from the beginning, constantly just out for money and power and taking advantage of the people around him and then pretending to be the victim when challenged. I mean yes he got worse, but I wouldn’t call it a villain arc, more like just a mental breakdown arc.
More importantly, to me L'Manburg represented so many things I hate about the status quo in real life, and seeing the fandom mostly unquestioningly accept it as good just pissed me off. Still pisses me off tbh. I mean, to be diplomatic I could say that I understand the emotional attachment and the way L'Manburg was built up mirrors a lot of how real nations are built and how they create a sense of patriotism out of symbols and a sense of honour and loyalty, and it’s actually really fascinating how it even works in a Minecraft roleplay. Says something about the human mind I guess. Doesn’t mean I have to like it though.
Anyway, I just wanted to see literally any kind of opposition to power, even if it had to come from a character that was unquestionably a villain, which I fully assumed Techno would be. Because political narratives so often just leave us out, or at best barely mention us. And even from a narrative point of view, adding an anarchist perspective to a political story just objectively broadens its scope and actually challenges people who are used to only arguing along the lines of conservative or liberal, welfare state or privatization, nationalism or multiculturalism, etc. Even if the original work dealt with it poorly, at least it would give me the excuse to rant about it on Tumblr, which is kinda why I revived my old Minecraft sideblog for this. (That and pig!Techno fanart.)
Also how can you have a story so fundamentally about power without its counterpoint: the rejection of power?
(Yes, Dream SMP as a whole is definitely a narrative about power, it’s a huge theme for Wilbur, Quackity, Dream, Eret and the Badlanders at least, as well as obviously the anarchist characters from the opposite direction.)
So yeah, the build up to November 16th for me was mainly about the anticipation for what Techno would do, how would Techno’s character respond to the seemingly inevitable formation of a new government. THAT was the point of interest for me, that was what I was the most invested in. Would we get an actual anarchist opposition as a new side to the conflict or would they just awkwardly drop that whole angle? Or even have him team up with Schlatt like a complete sellout? There was so much potential but I worried they might just waste it.
And I was right to worry since apparently in the original script Techno wasn’t supposed to do anything, he was just there to help fight Schlatt and witness the explosion along with everyone else.
And WOW that would have been so incredibly boring
Not even just from the political perspective, just talking about the narrative in general terms here: imagine November 16th without Techno’s plot points. Not only would it have been boring for Techno’s character but it would have been equally boring for basically everybody but Wilbur and Philza. An anticlimactic fight followed by a big explosion that pretty much everybody had seen coming already. Yes, the button room scene is dramatic and heartbreaking… for Wilbur and Phil. But nobody else was there to see it. For everybody else, it was just a big explosion. It would have been such a huge disservice to anyone watching the other POVs.
Techno’s intervention gave everyone an ACTUAL climactic fight, it allowed characters other than Wil and Phil to witness some actual drama happening and to participate in it, rather than just waiting around for the explosion, while also foreshadowing the explosion. Even better, it provoked SO MUCH discussion in the fandom AND gave a perfect hook for future conflicts to arise. Wilbur’s end was tragic but it was, at the time, final. L'Manburg would have still suffered a catastrophe but it would have been left with just the same exact antagonist as before: Dream.
And at this point Dream’s core goals had barely changed, just his approach was now different. Yes, that makes a difference for the plot, but it doesn’t really change much in terms of ideological conflict. Especially since there really isn’t that big of an ideological difference between Dream and Tommy, because arguably neither of them are particularly big on ideology in the first place, they just have conflicting goals and use different tactics to achieve those goals (well, the tactics aren’t always even that different *cough Spirit cough*).
Techno’s conflict with Tubbo and especially Quackity (and honestly most of the other characters in general) brings in so much more depth to the story, just by introducing another angle, not to even mention how much it brings to focus questions about power and violence. These are themes that exist in other characters’s storylines too but nowhere in the same way or as central as with Techno.
I’m getting kind of ahead of myself here, though.
The real twist of November 16th was the fact that Techno WASN’T a straight up villain, actually. It was a twist to me anyway, because with all my cynicism I just didn’t see it coming, I didn’t expect him to actually start making reasonable criticisms. I didn’t expect him to drop the hobbesian arguments entirely and start making points that actually sounded like anarchism.
I have to assume that cc!Techno must have seen some of the criticisms of his character and been inspired to adjust because the difference is pretty notable.
(Sidenote: I’m just forever kinda sad that Techno’s “I may seem like the villain here” monologue was cut from the video and most people never heard it.)
And I felt SO validated by the way, because it works so well in the story! Everyone is mostly content with the restoration of a status quo of some sort, Schlatt is gone, this is supposed to be the good ending, and then Techno calls them all out and turns the narrative around completely: This was just a coup d'état. This was just the previous political leadership retaking power by force. Why is everyone celebrating the same exact system that lead to Schlatt’s authoritarian rule in the first place?
What he does there is force the audience to question the narrative they’ve been presented so far, that they’ve accepted without a thought. It might not convince them, but they can’t just ignore it either.
Whatever you wanna say about the discourse around Techno on that day, in the ideological narrative THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Not who betrayed who or when is political violence justified, that’s about personal relationships and morality and it’s mostly all more relevant to the aftermath than the event itself. In my opinion, the REAL point in the moment is that the characters and the audience were comfortable with the ending only to be presented with a completely new perspective on the events.
It also recontextualises the finale, including Wilbur’s actions! It’s a much more ambiguous end to the Pogtopia vs Manburg arc and to Wilbur’s original run as the head writer. Wilbur’s “even with Tubbo in charge I don’t think [that ‘special place’] can exist again” is vague enough to be dismissed as just part of his paranoia and internal conflict, but with Techno, there’s a concrete question: what if Tubbo, given the same powers as Schlatt, will turn out to be just a new Schlatt? And suddenly you have to wonder what Wilbur meant by his words too. And was all this foreshadowing something about L’Manburg’s future?
Okay I’ve only made it to November 16th and there’s so much more DSMP to talk about but the post is getting too long and I’m starting to lose my energy. Will I ever make a part two? No idea. But I’ll try.
Standard disclaimer: I’m not the spokesperson of anarchism, other anarchists might disagree with my reading

Enigma (b.b.)
Tumblr media
Summary: you’re Bucky’s enigma. and he finally finds out why
AN: i love bucky barnes ALSO who says i can’t write about the multiverse?? there are no rules anymore!
i’m also thinking about making this a little ongoing ‘series’ kind of like the tom holland one i’m doing. same characters, same characters plots, just different plots for each part, if that makes sense.
taglist: @amourtentiaa
You and James Buchanan Barnes had a complex relationship. And that was putting it lightly. Ever since you joined the team, Bucky had some sort of hesitation towards you. You didn’t know why, you were always nice to him but he just shrugged you off.
You tried not to take it personally but it was hard when he seemed to be the only person who didn’t like you. The reason he was so standoffish was because you were an enigma to him. You were something he hadn’t really seen before.
Mainly due to the fact that you weren’t given your powers in an unfortunate circumstance. No one really knew how you got them, it was like you were just born with the power to control the cosmos or anything with cosmic energy. Which was something unheard of. He didn’t understand how someone could just be born with powers. And what he didn’t understand, he was scared of.
But his constant distaste towards you began to deter you. You were beginning to want nothing to do with him and he could sense that. You would stop greeting him in the kitchen every morning. You’d stop offering to go on jogs with him and you barely spared him a second glance.
Add that to the list of the things Bucky didn’t understand about you.
__
You woke up one morning feeling off. Something seemed wrong but you couldn't quite figure out what it was. Pins and needles were creeping up your spine and into your neck and your fingers kept twitching.
You've been able to safely control your powers for some time now so you didn’t know why you felt as if you couldn’t.
Exiting your bedroom, you were too busy shaking your hands out to rid yourself of the tingling feeling, you weren’t watching where you were going.
You ran right into someone and looked up slightly, seeing Bucky  standing before you. “Oh, sorry.” You said quietly, moving around him. “Hey, are you okay?” He asked, grabbing your elbow gently. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.” You lied.
Bucky knew something was off. Your usual sunny disposition was replaced with a solemn attitude. Which was very rare for you. But you weren't going to tell him what was wrong and he didn’t blame you for that.
He watched you walk away, walking like you were at a constant level of pain or discomfort. He walked down the hall towards Steve’s room, seeing that the door was open and invited himself in.
“Hey, something’s going on with Y/N.” Bucky announced. “What do you mean?” Steve asked. “I ran into her in the hall and all she did was say sorry. No conversation, no attempt at telling me a joke.” Bucky explained. “Well, she did say she was going to give up on making you like her. Maybe that’s it.” Steve replied. “This was different. She looked in pain.” Bucky rebutted.
“I’m sure she’s fine, Buck.” Steve said. The rest of your day seemed to go on like normal, minus the dull ache in your body. You did some reading, helped Bruce in the lab like you always did. Until Steve scheduled you for training.
The thing about Steve, was that he wanted  everyone to be in fighting shape. So, he’d schedule everyone for training sessions designed to focus on their strengths. On any other day, you wouldn’t complain, but today was not your day.
You reluctantly walked into the training room, finding both Steve and Bucky present. “Alright, Y/N, you ready?” Steve asked. “Want the truth or just what you want to hear?” You questioned. “I know these aren’t everyone’s favorite thing to do but they’ll make you stronger which makes us stronger as a team.” Steve explained.
“Now, your powers are very multipurpose. So, I just want to start on the cosmic defense, okay?” He added. “Is that why Barnes is here with a gun?” You asked. “He’s just here to help.” Steve said. “Yeah right.” You muttered.
The training session began and everything was going okay. You harnessed the right amount of cosmic energy to block Bucky’s bullets and Steve’s shield.
But soon, it became too much too fast. You could practically hear your heart beating in your ears and the pins and needles sensation became a million times worse. You couldn’t focus due to the pounding in your head.
You stopped defending yourself as you gripped your head out of pain. You could feel the meteor showers, the solar flares, everything the pain was causing. You were reducing the objects in the training room down to the atom.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Steve asked, him and Bucky approaching you. “It hurts. It hurts so bad.” you cried. “I told you there was something wrong.” Bucky told his friend.
He moved to pick you up and rush to get you help wherever he could find it.
“Banner, can you help her?” Bucky questioned, entering the lab. You had curled yourself into Bucky, trying to relieve some of your pain.
“What happened to her?” Bruce asked. “I don’t know. We were just training and her powers went out of control. But something was wrong this morning.” Bucky explained, setting you down on the table. “That explains the cosmic phenomenon no one can explain. Meteor showers, solar flares. NASA reported three cosmic storms in the past five minutes.” Bruce explained. “I need to sedate her before it gets worse.” He added. Bruce stuck a needle in your arm and you soon visibly relaxed.
“Do any of us really know anything about her powers?” He questioned. “You don’t, but I do.” Tony announced, standing in the doorway.
“There was no crazy experimentation, no cosmic event that gave them to her. She was simply born with them, because her father had powers too,” Tony started. “It’s called the X gene. A genetic mutation that gives the person different and unique abilities. They were all wiped out years ago by the US government. She’s the last one and her father came to me to keep her safe.” He added. “She’s a mutant?” Bruce asked.
“Yes, she is. And no one knew until now. The thing about the X gene, is that it makes it harder to learn control. The more the body changes the more the mutation changes. I thought she had a handle on her powers but I guess not.” Tony explained. “Will she be okay?” Bucky asked. “She just needs to sleep it off.” Tony said. “Who was her father?” Bruce asked. “His name was Erik. That’s all you need to know.” Tony answered before leaving the room.
You were unconscious for hours. The much needed sleep completely calming your powers down. When you awoke, you were back in your bed and it was already dark outside. You looked over and saw that Bucky was asleep in the blue chair you had sat in the corner.
“Bucky,” You spoke gently. The man stirred slightly before coming to. Bucky noticed you were awake and moved to sit on the edge of your bed. “Are you okay?” He asked. “Wasn’t sure you cared.” You answered, sitting up straighter.
“Believe it or not, I do care. I’ve been this way towards you  because how you make me feel scares the hell out of me. I call you an enigma. Because you’re unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. And that’s before I knew you were a mutant.” Bucky said.
You looked up at him at the sound of the ‘M’ word, not remembering having told him of your mutation.
“Did Tony tell you?” You asked. “Yeah. Told me and Banner.” He said. “Now you know. The crazy genetic mutation that made me the  last of the mutants. What made me feel alone once again.” You laugh bitterly.
“You’re not alone, Y/N. As long as you’re here, you’ll never be alone.” Bucky told you. “How can you promise me that?” You asked. “Because I’m going to try like hell to make sure you never feel that way again.” He answered.
You gave Bucky a look of disbelief at his words. “You really do care don’t you?” You asked quietly. “It’s been really hard not too, doll.” He told you.
You gave him a warm smile, one that Bucky had never seen you use towards him. “Who was your father? Do you know?” He questioned. “All I know is the name they gave him. Magneto.” You answered.
“But he’s gone now. I don’t know what happened to him or the rest of the mutants, but I’ve never met him.” You added. “I’m sure he’d be proud of you.” Bucky said.
You didn’t believe him though. You don’t think your father would be proud. How could he be proud of the daughter he left behind?
“I know I’m proud of you.” Bucky added. That’s all you needed. You didn’t need your absentee father’s approval. If you had Bucky, that was enough.

Peter doesn’t hook up often now that he’s at the mansion full time.
The idea that it’s also a school kind of weirds him out, not to mention hooking up with someone who he worked with also made things awkward. But you. He didn’t work with you and you weren’t part of the X-Men. Being a fellow mutant, he also didn’t have to hide his powers. So after weeks of intense flirting, coffee dates, and inuendos, Peter found himself at your place.
It was a memorable night.
In the morning, Peter lays next to you with a pleased grin on his face, his hands tucked behind his head.
“What are you smirking at?” you ask, slipping out of bed.
“Can’t a guy be happy about having sex?”
Laughing, you head to your closet and start to paw through your clothes. “You absolutely can be happy about it. Especially since it was great sex.”
Peter bit his lip as he studied your naked body. “If it was so great, you’d come back to bed right now so we can go again.”
“Wish I could, cutie. But I’ve got a meeting to get to.”
“Meeting for what?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Peter rushes to stand in front of you, blocking your closet while he wraps his arms around your waist. “Some dumb meeting is more important than I am?”
“It’s not dumb, Peter. It’s really important.”
He pouts as you gently push him to the side so you can grab some clothes. As disappointed as he is, when he glances at the clock he realizes he probably should get going too.
“Alright, alright, fair enough. I’ve got a mission briefing in an hour anyway.”
You pause. “Mission briefing?”
Peter zooms around putting his clothes on. “If I don’t show up on time, Charles is going to give me that disappointed eye-brow raise.”
When he turns to look at you again, you’re standing there with wide eyes. “Charles? As in Charles Xavier?” you ask.
Peter nods. “Yeah…”
“You’re part of the X-Men?!”
He doesn’t like the way your voice raises in pitch. “Is that a problem?”
“Shit! Shit, this is bad!”
“What? Why?”
You study him for a moment as you cross your arms over your chest. “We shouldn’t even be talking, let alone sleeping together. Fuck, this sucks. I really liked you too.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Peter says, reaching towards you. “What are you talking about?”
You take a step back, putting distance between you. “Peter,” you say in a tight voice. “The meeting I’m going to is for the Brotherhood.”
Peter’s heart sinks. “The Brotherhood? Why are you hanging around them?”
“Because I’m a member.”
The Brotherhood and the X-Men are notorious rivals and have gone head-to-head on numerous occasions. Peter doesn't know much about them, only that they had sprung up sometime over the last few years. No one is sure where they came from. Peter suspects Charles might have an idea but he hasn't said anything.
“So what does this mean?” he asks. “That we can’t see each other anymore.”
“I’m sorry.”
“That’s bullshit.”
“That’s the way it has to be.”
“No, it’s not.”
“It should be.”
“Just because we’re in different groups doesn’t mean we can’t see each other.”
You sigh heavily, gazing at Peter with sad eyes. “It’s only going to tear us apart. Peter, I can’t do what I have to do when I know you’re on the other side of the line. God, if Erik finds out—”
“Wait, Magneto? You know Magneto?”
You put your hand over your mouth, clearly letting something slip that you weren’t supposed to. “Oh, shit. Damn it! See! I’m already blabbing about stuff I shouldn’t. You should go, like right now.”
“Wait, wait, no, this is great!” Peter exclaims. “It’s fine. I’m his son, so it’s cool.”
“You’re what?!”
“Yeah! Well, he doesn’t know that I am. At least, I don’t think he does. We haven’t officially talked about it. Haven’t had the moment. But, seriously, it’s totally cool. Just tell him you’re sleeping with me and he’ll be cool with it.”
“Okay, there is way too much there to unpack and I don’t think we have enough time for all of that.”
You start to pace and Peter follows along, trailing behind you even as you walk in circles. “Seriously, we should be alright to keep having sex. If you want to, that is. Because I really want to have sex with you again.”
“We’re not even on the same side, Peter.”
He steps in front of you, taking both your hands in his. “So, let’s make our own side. Just the two of us.”
You snort in amusement. “Not much of a side if it’s just two people.”
“I’d rather be a ‘we’ than be an ‘us’ and ‘them’.”
Sighing heavily, you reach out to push his silver hair back from his face. “Counteroffer,” you suggest. “You come with me to the meeting. See what work your dad is doing.”
“Only if you come with me next time to an X-Men meeting and see what they’re doing.”
You consider his suggestion, your hands still clasped in his. “One condition.”
“Name it.”
“We come back here after both meetings and have sex again.”
“Oh my god, yes. Deal. Absolutely.”
Laughing, you pull him into a harsh kiss. Smiling to himself, Peter kisses you back, wrapping his arms around your waist.

You’ve made a breakthrough in your long-term plan of escapism. Even with the mini escape attempts that were really about exploring the factory and less about actually trying to get out, you hadn’t made a lot of progress: until now.
Well, two, really… Okay, maybe 1 ½. Firstly, you found a sawed-off two-barrel shotgun. With ammo. In fact, there was a various amount of ammo around the factory, but no actual gun. Until now. The second discovery, which is nowhere near as useful, was a window. Which was probably 50 or more feet up from the ground. You didn’t get a chance to inspect it that much, considering as soon as you saw it and got a glimpse at the far-off ground, you had to run again from Lycans.
Which gives you a basic idea of a way to escape. You knew where the ammo was, you knew where the gun was and had a route to the edge of the building, and hopefully could find stairs at the end of the hallway. Now all you had to do was find a time where you could be gone long enough to get a decent head start before, he notices you’re even gone. Even when he was in the workshop, he kept a close eye on you, keeping you in arms-length to the point where it taxed on both of your mental health.
And even then, in that chair in the small room, you watch him work in the finer details on something the size of your head and torso. You try not to look at the phone in your lap, he doesn’t even know you have it, much less how great the reception is in the building. How did he not know about his old phone that was still working fine? Oh well, he doesn’t need to know you’re looking at memes and reading feel-good wolf-star fanfic on ao3.
The best idea you had was to leave him while he was asleep, but there were two some issues with that: he clung to you like his life depended on it, your back to his chest and arms around you almost tight enough to keep you awake; it was dark as hell in the hallways of the factory as is, but it would be impossible to navigate safely with the lights; and the Lycans were most active outside at night, which was where you were trying to go. They’ve tried to eat you before as they show no discrimination on food.
The only way to get a good enough head start would be to leave while he didn’t notice you were gone, and wouldn’t notice for a long, long time. And that when it hit you. The only time he ever left you by yourself was when he had to deal with the other three lords. And while he left you in that basement that you originally woke up in, you had memorized your way out and found that going up five flights of stairs took you to that faithful widow.
Would you have enough time to explore and look for an actual exit/entrance, or should you play it safe and find a way to go out that window. You wanted to laugh to yourself, you’d never think that going down a 50ft plus drop would be considered safe, but here you were, kidnapped and held hostage by one of the people your late grandmother warned you not to associate with, or even go near. The letter you received directly quoted “the four lords and their mother, Mother Miranda, are not to be approached or associated with at any costs. You’ll know them when you see them, they smell like death and money. See them and run.”
You can’t help but find that ironic, considering that you did try to run, heeded her warning, and still faced the consequences that were far worse than she had warned you about. You regretted coming here, to this small village, when you first arrived: no friends, and even those you tried to approach held you to her standard and expected them to be just like her. You were far from her kind and optimistic nature (at least that’s what you heard of her; you hadn’t even known of her whereabouts until she was dead).
Even the duke, who had helped smuggle you into the village, didn’t seem fond of you. It was a shame, you tried so hard to impress him. But he saw you to a point where you could easily reach her old cottage without having too many issues, turned his cart around, and left without a good-bye. It bothered you to no end that your only companion for about a year or so was an elderly outside cat and the creaking noises the walls made at night.
And then the cat died and not even a week later you got kidnapped. You never considered yourself lucky, but damn if that wasn’t the worst streak of luck you’ve had in a long time.
You pretend to turn a page in your book and scroll through your Instagram feed, seeing friends having fun at the beach, or studying at the library, or your old best friend taking selfies in provocative clothing to your ex-boyfriend. Did she forget he cheated on you? She wasn’t always the smartest, but she brought that heartbreak upon herself. You see a photo of your mom, she had posted a picture of a black and white photo of her with her mom, you’re guessing, you have no idea who that old woman is.
This is the last photo I had with my mom before she died. We lost contact after I moved out. I wish we parted on better terms, Nana.
She’s in a prairie dress, holding an ancient-looking key in one hand, and the other wrapped around her mom, a middle-aged woman with long hair in two braids and a face that had too many stress wrinkles. You guess your mom was as bad as you were in college. The background looks dreary. You would have guessed it to be the quality of the photo if you hadn’t recognized the house behind them as the house you lived in used to live in.
The loops on the handle of the key look familiar. You spread your fingers apart to zoom in and see the blurry engravings on the side. It was the payment you gave to sneak into the village. You thought it was a worthless family heirloom at most and found it strange that he had even found interest in the key, or even valued it deeper than money in general. Maybe this photo or other photos of you and your family would help out.
Why is that key suddenly piquing your interest? Were you that bored, as to sit there and think about a key that was at least twice your age? A key that you didn’t even have. You needed a hobby besides escapism and rejecting your captor’s sexual advances. You look up at him again, only to find him leaning against the desk, hat off and sunglass placed on his forehead, his gaze on you. It wasn’t his normal piercing one, that studied you and calculated your every move, but soft and lazy. His current gaze was dreamy; he was daydreaming about you. You found that equally undaring s it was unnerving.
             “Karl.”
“Yes, Sweetiepea?” Honestly, what the fuck.
“Firstly, why are you staring at me like that? Secondly, that is the most disgusting way to use that pet name. I need to take a shower after you called me that.”
He chuckles light-heartedly. Even his softer more genuine, happy chuckles are booming and loud. “Okay… Sugarplum!” And he busts out laughing.
Clearly dodging the first question and focusing on the second. You can’t believe you gave him ammo for his annoying-you-gun. And you thought you’d grown immune to most of his… less-savory traits. Were you growing used to him? Next thing you know you’re going to like him and develop Stockholm syndrome!
“You’re a shit head, hobo magneto…” You turn your head away and let your hair cover half your face so he can’t see you smile. You’ll miss him when you escape and get the duke to smuggle you back to your home in Bucharest. But only a little. Just because calling Heisenberg these names are funny.
“Why don’t you call me by my name, I know you know it.”
“You sure about that?” You quip back.
“You’ve lived with me for at least two months now!”
“Hm…. I think I know your name! It’s uh…” You are totally faking not knowing his name. “It’s… Heidi Carlson? Yeah, that sounds about right!”
             “It’s Karl Heisenberg!”
“Quit being so silly, Heidi! Maybe it’s nap-time!” This was a little too fun.
He looks back at his project for a moment and genuinely considers it. “I know you’re being antagonistic but you’re probably right.” And with that, he walks towards you and goes to scoop you up. You have to shut your book quickly in order for him not to notice the phone in between its pages before you let him pick you up.
He immediately notices that. “Are… Are you sick?”
“No! Of course not!” Because you genuinely aren’t sick, and he’s already up in your business as-is, you don’t need him dotting on you because he thinks you’re sick or something. You’ll go fucking crazy.
“You’ve put in zero effort into anything remotely physical since your last little failed escape attempt.” He gave it a little bit of thought. “You’ve given up, haven’t you, and you’re just depressed about it aren’t you?”
You want to say no, you really do, but if Heisenberg thinks you’ve given up on escaping, perhaps it’ll give you enough space to plan the big one. The reverse heist so to speak. “No- I… okay maybe I have but I still don’t like you.
He leans down and presses a kiss to your forehead. “Good girl. Now let’s get us that well-deserved nap.”
You plug your nose and turn away as a joke. “You’ve gotta take a bath first, you smell like oil and sweat.” You don’t fight it, because you have to play the part, but you still have to act a little bit like yourself.
“Okay, fine doll, but don’t think you’ve escaped my barrage of affection, because as soon as I get out of the shower-“
You bonk him. And he looks at you so confused before he smiles and leans down to nuzzle his nose against yours. You try to hold the bile back in your mouth and lean forward and peck his lips before leaning back. You failed at trying to not visibly gag.
             “Ew… I can’t believe I just kissed you.”
“Well, I guess someone caught feelings… Didn’t they?”

Head Cannon and blurb for Try Again Magneto x fem reader.
This request is from @its-just-belle. I'm sorry it took so long! I added a little blurb too, hopefully that makes the wait a little more worth it.
Original request: Headcanon for a yandere type Erik, you touched on it in your "Try again, and again, and again - Maybe you’ll be free this time" series and I'd love to see more.
Warnings: Bodage, possessive behavior, dark af, 18+, punishment, mild bruising/blood, violence, kidnapping, Non consentual situation, implied past and future rape/noncon.
This is a dark fic that is intended for adults. Do not interact unless you are over 18.
Head Cannon - The readers past and meeting Erik.
The reader grew up in an abusive home. When her x gene activated her family disowned her, only taking care of her as much as they legally had to. The kids at school called her names. She was kicked out as soon as she turned 18.
Erik met her in an alleyway. She was taking trash out after work one night (I Imagine her in her early 20s) . Nobody knew she was a mutant. Some old highschool kids saw her and cornered her. She couldn’t use her powers because there wasn't enough dirt.
Erik had been in the restaurant and saw her. He fought the kids off and put his hand out for her to grasp. She took it and looked to the door where her boss was standing and knew she would be fired.
Erik wiped a tear away. “Come with me.” He said softly.
She didn’t have anywhere to go so she followed him. He set her up with a job and room. His intentions were clear from the beginning - He wanted her. He pursued her like a normal person though. Asked her out and became friends.
Slowly, she started to heal from her childhood and while she liked him, she also wanted some independence. He became more and more possessive of her. Other mutants started telling him where she was and he would show up randomly and get angry at small things.
Then the altercation happened from try again 2 and there wasn’t anymore pretending. He knew he had lost her and felt like it was his only option.
- Blurb -
“I have to go,” he whispered apologetically. You said nothing as the metal around your wrists and ankles loosened and fell. He stroked your hair and kissed you with sickly sweet gentleness. Bile rose in your throat and you swallowed it down, refusing to show anymore emotion in front of him.
“Clean up, eat, rest,” he said before leaving you curled up on the floor.
You  closed your eyes and listened to the loud banging of metal pieces encasing your home and barring the exit.
You limped to the bathroom and ran cool water over the red marks that adorned your arms and legs where you were cuffed. How could he do this? How could the man who set you free also be the one to cage you?
You tried the doors and windows but knew it was no use. Erik never did anything halfway. If he decided to keep you he would make sure you were kept. You took a blanket from the couch and brought them to the closet, closing yourself in. It didn’t feel safe but it felt safer than before.
Time stood still that first day. It was an hour, or maybe six, or twenty that you hugged the blanket and stared at nothing. Then the creaking of metal sounded followed by a door opening, footsteps clicking across the floor, and finally the door to your safe haven opening.
“It’s time to come out now,” a deep voice whispered.
You were lifted and carried to the table. He let you down and as much as you wanted to run away you didn’t. You sat on a hard wooden chair as he scurried around the kitchen making a pasta dish. You looked in his eyes when he put the dish in front of you, ready to yell or cry or do anything.
“Erik…” was all you managed before you had to turn your face from him. He pulled your chin back towards his and stroked his thumb up and down lovingly.
“I know, I’m sorry baby. I don’t want to hurt you, I just want to protect you.”
“I know but the choice isn’t yours Erik.”
A fork full of pasta rose to your lips and Erik stroked your jaw, trying to get you to open.
“You’ve been hiding for over a day, you need to eat something.”
You clamped your mouth shut and his eyes hardened. “See, you’re so stubborn. I care about you too much to let you go. Remember when I found you? You were barely surviving.”
“Well I wouldn’t call being locked away living,” you sassed.
silverware suddenly flew up, sticking to the ceiling and flinging red sauce all over the room. Before you even had a chance to brace yourself you were hauled over his shoulder and carried to the living room. You cried out and tried to wiggle away only for a sharp slap to land on your ass.
“Fuck you Erik!” you yelled.
He dropped you on the couch and brought a hand to your throat, squeezing until you were unable to release any more profanities. Your hand shot up to his wrists but you couldn't pry him off. Metal encased your arms, pulling them above your head and you felt yourself starting to lose consciousness.
“I tried to be nice. I won’t make that mistake again.” he released your throat and let you gulp air.
“You belong to me,” he growled.
You opened your mouth to speak but shut it quickly when his eyebrow lifted.
“Do you understand?”
You nodded, a gravelly “yes” falling from your lips. The restraints on your wrists loosened as he pulled you into a sitting position. Physical space is what you wanted but you knew he wouldn't let you walk away. Emotional space was the next best thing so you lowered your eyes. That was a huge mistake - literally - because Eriks grey sweatpants left nothing to the imagination. Your eyes quickly snapped back to his smirking face.
“Soon baby,” He chuckled.
He leaned in, giving your ear a little nip before whispering “Now be a good girl and eat your dinner.”
And you obeyed.
