FEELING HUMAN, HOOKED ON YOUR BREATH ── leander + gn!reader, 430
leander is painfully aware of his reputation; knows that you've heard rumours of how the corner room you currently occupy in the wet wick was once exclusively for him and his one-night-stands, vere's little quips of him getting some action with a stranger or two in dark alleys, and he hasn't exactly been subtle with the way he looks at you in the candlelight when you're huddled together in one of the booths. he knows that you're no fool, that you're not deaf to the warnings to stay away from him lest you fall too deep into his spell of dark magic—
but you stay anyway.
perhaps it is because he is one of the few to offer you some semblance of comfort in the unfamiliar streets of eridia without asking for anything else, or because he is the only one capable of touching your bare hands and remain sane enough to see the exact shade of your pretty eyes, but whatever the reason, he finds himself unable to care. he finds himself doing a lot of uncharacteristic things since you've come around, actually.
leander does not believe in god, has never even entertained such thoughts of a divine entity existing with the sort of life he's led since birth, but he thinks that despite your curse, you are the closest thing to an angel he's ever met. leander feels bad about it, really; the thoughts that plague his mind when he lets you trace the grooves and scars of his calloused hands, your darkened fingertips ghosting upon the skin of his forearm like a dancer from the amaryllis district. he feels guilty, as if he's taking advantage of your trust like this, even if you're the one who's touching him, but it's outweighed by that something that leander still can't name even after all those nights of laying awake in night or nursing his nth bottle of rum in the wet wick at some ungodly hour of the night; something about how you touch him like he's the only solid thing in the world, the look in your eyes when you find your fingers wandering over to the scar on his face.
there is no such thing as heaven or hell, just the monsters (soulless and mortal) that linger in the space between, but your touch is divine, and for the first time in his life, leander wants nothing more than to repent for his sins, to whisper his confessions against the warm dark-gold of your knuckles as if he could find some semblance of forgiveness in your skin.

Many of your friends would agree that you had the patience of a damn Saint.
Beyond dealing with Sebastian’s hard-headedness on a regular basis and keeping up appearances with your classmates, it was a wonder you had managed to maintain your cool, collected facade for so long. You could recall losing it once before, shortly after Professor Fig died. But the whole debacle had gone down in the safety and privacy of the Room of Requirement, so no one had been around to witness your indignant anger take root and assist you in trashing two thirds of your sacred space.
That had been two years ago, so you liked to think you’d gotten better at controlling your emotions since then.
Leander fucking Prewett, however, had seemingly made it his life’s mission to frustrate you to no foreseeable end.
While you had felt bad for him in your fifth-year and entertained his rambling mostly out of pity, somewhere along the way your lack of interest got lost in translation. He was a rather boastful individual, preferring to brag about himself and put down anyone that excelled in areas he wanted to be the best in. His attitude had only worsened with age, and for the last few months he had suddenly taken to attempting to woo you in passing.
His efforts were too pathetic to take to heart, but you certainly hadn’t told Sebastian about it yet. Not unless you wanted to trigger a fight that you knew you wouldn’t be able to intervene in, because the whole reason Leander was even trying with you was to get under your boyfriend’s skin.
Today was Wednesday, and you shared Herbology class with Leander, much to your displeasure. Your attempts at escaping out the door quickly had been thwarted when Professor Garlick asked to speak with you after class, and despite hoping against all odds that you would be left alone, Prewett was waiting for you at the top of the steps when you ascended the staircase.
“Ah, there you are,” he drawled, with far too much familiarity for your liking. “Did Professor Garlick hold you back to scold you for something?”
You grasped at the fringes of your self-restraint with everything in you. “No, we were just discussing some extra assignments she gave me last week.”
Wanting to leave the interaction at that, you picked up your pace and strode past him, eager to meet up with Sebastian and Ominis for lunch. At the very least, Sebastian’s presence would act as a safeguard against Leander’s incessant pestering. Unfortunately, the Gryffindor had no qualms about lengthening his stride to match your own, and he fell annoyingly into step beside you.
He raked one of his hands through his long strands of red hair, trying and failing to raise a brow at you questioningly. Instead he just looked constipated. “Wow, extra assignments? You must be some child genius turned prodigy, I can’t think of anyone who willingly says yes to more homework.”
“...I’ve been doing it for two years, Leander.”
Waving you off, he pressed on, “Then you’re way smarter than you let on.” What? “Not that I’ve heard otherwise from anyone, but someone as bright as you likely values intellect and wit, and I can’t help but notice Sebastian is in short supply of both these days–”
“Leander, now really isn’t the time.” Not this shit again. You pushed through the double doors leading to Central Hall, desperate to put your two Slytherin companions in between yourself the daft idiot tailing you.
“Oh, come on. I’m only suggesting we take some time to study together. Or maybe we could take a stroll through the Library since you’re so fond of books. Everyone knows you’ve got a thing for sneaking into the Restricted Section, although sometimes I wonder how much reading you actually do when you disappear there with Sallow.”
By now you had made it beside the fountain in the middle of the room, but your legs halted entirely when you registered the implication hidden in his words. One of your nails broke as you dug your fingers into the cover of your textbook, and you willed the thrum of your blood roaring in your ears to lessen as you finally pivoted to face Leander fully.
Your expression was stormy when you fixed your eyes on his beady ones, and you allowed yourself a moment to appreciate the nervous bob of his throat. “What is it you think I do then, Leander? What vapid, tasteless thoughts do you have whipping around in that giant head of yours, hm?”
At least he had the good sense to look sheepish, but he masked the look quickly with that false bravado that made your hands twitch. He raised his arms in a gesture of surrender, “Relax, doll. I’m just connecting the dots out loud. What does your prized boytoy tempt you with to convince you to break the rules so often?”
Merlin’s bloody balls, if you didn’t leave now, you were going to lose it in the middle of the school. There was no hiding your blatant scowl of disgust, but you found the frayed tethers of your composure and grabbed the ends like a lifeline. You pulled a deep breath into your lungs, exhaling in a way that conveyed your thinning temper, and turned to walk away.
You saw Sebastian standing on the other side of Central Hall talking to Garreth, and he was spying over the redhead’s shoulder to watch you. His face was contorted into a dark, threatening expression, and you knew he could read your own emotions plainly on your face. He was well aware that you were pissed off, and he jumped into action then, muttering something to Weasley under his breath before he was striding across the foyer to get to you.
You’d made it roughly three steps away from Leander when you suddenly felt his slimy hand slithering around your waist to haul you back against his chest. The brazen action took you by surprise, which was the only reason the bastard succeeded in squeezing the curve of your hip so generously. The feeling had you tensing all over, and you dimly registered Sebastian’s murderous expression nearing the opposite side of the fountain before your own anger took root.
“What, you’re not even going to dignify me with a response? That’s awfully cruel–”
A faceful of your fist cut him off mid sentence, and you watched through your narrowed eyes as Leander’s head flew back, his momentum carrying him to the ground in a sprawled, limp heap. You heard a series of gasps erupt from the students that were seated nearby, but you didn’t care. It took you a second to process the scene as you blinked the rage from your mind, but once you had, you were pleased to find Prewett’s nose hugging his cheek at a very broken angle.
“There’s your response, you prick,” you swore at him, bending down to snatch up your Herbology textbook that had fallen from your grip. Your knuckles throbbed from the impact still, but you simply flexed your fingers and shook the pain away. It felt good to get that out of your system, and entirely worth the bruises you would surely be sporting in the morning. “Do yourself a favor and stay the hell away from me, or I’ll be happy to show you exactly what I’ve learned from the books in the Restricted Section.”
As soon as you moved away from Leander, a group of younger students were flocking to his side, wisely giving you a wide berth as you left. Sebastian was frozen still as a statue on the other side of the fountain, looking at you slack-jawed with admiration twinkling in his dark eyes. You smiled softly at him, the look so at odds with the feral energy you had just exhibited twenty seconds prior.
“I– what the bloody hell was that?” Sebastian asked at the same time you circled your arm around his waist to lead him away from the bleeding Gryffindor.
“It was well deserved, that’s what it was,” you replied evenly, and then you felt Sebastian’s fingertips digging into the small of your back. “Don’t worry about it, please. He won’t bother me anymore, that’s for damn sure.”
Sebastian’s laugh sounded breathless, and he shook his head in disbelief, his pupils blown wide as he stared down at you. “Oh I’ll definitely be needing the backstory to that whole altercation at some point, but I’m more hung up on the fact that you actually punched somebody. You never get physical like that, where in Merlin’s name did that come from?”
You’d been leading Sebastian towards the Great Hall, having had your mind set on lunch for the better part of a half hour. But then you felt Sebastian take control of steering, and instead of turning down the corridor that led to your destination, he instead appeared to be guiding you in the direction of the Dark Arts Tower. “You’re acting like it’s unheard of for someone to lose their temper. In case you forgot, Prewett is particularly insufferable. Today he crossed one too many lines, so I reeducated him. End of story.”
“I don’t think you understand,” Sebastian murmured as you came up the staircase leading to a familiar alcove, and things suddenly started to click into place. “That was quite possibly the sexiest thing you’ve ever done.”
All the blood in your body seemed to flood into your cheeks then. Sebastian gazed down at you hungrily, whipping his wand out briefly to unlock the latch concealing the entryway behind the large clock. It opened with a clang, and before you could formulate a response to his statement, he was gently pushing you through the opening ahead of him.
While the two of you descended the narrow stairwell leading into the Undercroft, Sebastian replayed the glorious sight of your wicked right hook in his mind. He didn’t know what the hell Leander had been whispering to you about, but the look on your face had told him it wasn’t anything pleasant. Being the chivalrous and overprotective boyfriend he was, of course he’d bailed on his conversation with Garreth to step in.
Watching Prewett’s offensive appendage coil around your waist had sealed the deal, however; Sebastian had fully intended on sending the Gryffindor into an early grave. But then you’d dropped your items and spun around so fast– your textbook was still falling when your fist connected with his nose. It wasn’t the most tactful means of defense for a lot of people. After all, in a world of magic, who the hell bothered with brawling? There was no denying the appeal of it though. It was a more personal way of telling someone to go fuck themselves, and watching you set your boundries in such a way had driven Sebastian’s blood supply straight to his cock.
He liked this unrestrained side of you. He was desperate to see more of it.
Once you were past the threshold of the gate, you stopped to turn to Sebastian, ready to clarify that seriously– was he this affected by you throwing a punch? But then his larger body slammed against you, stealing the words from your throat as he captured your lips in a frantic, hungry kiss, and you were manhandled into his arms so he could walk the two of you over to the lounge stuffed away in the corner of the room.
As soon as your ass made contact with the velvet cushions, Sebastian broke away so his hands could get to work on hauling your skirt down your legs. The ferocity of the movement nearly sent you flying to the floor with the attire, but then the freckled man was moving back into your personal space so abruptly, your teeth knocked together before he began biting and sucking at your bottom lip.
“Fuck– Sebastian, what the hell’s gotten into you?” The pain from his ministrations quickly blurred together with the unmistakable arousal pooling between your legs, and when he pressed the pad of his thumb roughly against your clit through your soaked undergarments, he swallowed your shaky moans with a nefarious kiss.
“I have to have you,” Sebastian murmured as his hands came up to remove your blouse, exerting a smidge more self-control than he did with your skirt so he didn’t render your uniform unusable afterwards. There was still the matter of school technically being in session, but after watching Leander put his hands on you, Sebastian was feeling especially possessive, and seeing you lay the brute out like it was nothing made his thirst for you seem borderline unquenchable. He asked hurriedly, “Merlin’s balls, let me eat you out– please?”
You shivered as he undid the last button on your shirt and slipped the material over your shoulders, tossing it to the stone floor alongside the rest of your clothes. Having long since given up on wearing your bras after Sebastian ripped the straps of your last two, you were completely bare– an open invitation for him to begin kneading your breasts and pinching your nipples hard enough to make you arch into his touch.
He took full advantage of your close proximity and latched his lips over your thundering pulse, sinking his teeth into the skin to work a mark there, and you nodded shamelessly when you felt his fingers slip beneath your underwear.
“O-Okay. Alright– fine, but take this off,” your hands tugged at the collar of his shirt, ardently conveying that if you were going to let him satiate himself, the least he could do was let you look at him.
Sebastian was obliging you in a heartbeat, pulling away from your spread legs to wriggle his tie loose. It hung messily around his neck– just enough for him to swiftly begin undoing his button up– and the entire time he worked to shed the clothing, his dark, penetrating gaze never left your flushed body. Once the front of his shirt fell open and he’d discarded it, you were met with the tantalizing sight of Sebastian’s toned, freckled chest. The mouth watering trail of hair running below his navel paved a path to the tenting fabric of his trousers, and as soon as Sebastian caught you staring, his brown eyes were darkening impossibly further.
Prowling forward with feline grace, Sebastian smirked as he lifted his tie off of his shoulders to drape over your head. He didn’t bother tightening it, instead letting it hang in a disheveled heap between your breasts, and the sight did more for him than he cared to admit, his cock straining uncomfortably in his trousers. But right now wasn’t about him– not really– it was about you, and Sebastian’s reverent need to please you.
“Hold that for me,” he purred down at you before he was dropping to his knees in front of you.
A brilliant flush swept up your torso as his warm, broad hands came to finally slip your drenched panties away from your aching heat, gliding the material down your outstretched legs without tearing his eyes away from you. Goosebumps broke out all over your skin when the chill of the Undercroft passed over you, and your breath caught in your throat when he eagerly licked his lips and sidled up to the edge of the couch.
Sebastian looped his arms under your thighs, tugging you closer to him so that your ass dangled precariously off the cushions, causing you to shiver under his unyielding stare. He nudged your legs up onto his shoulders, casting a mischievous look your way before he was nuzzling his face into the sensitive skin of your legs, and the adoring kisses he peppered up the apex of your thighs had your stomach tensing in anticipation.
“Do you think we could try sparring one day?” Sebastian asked randomly, teasing his fingers closer to your dripping folds before pulling them away entirely. The dejected sigh that slipped from your lips made him chuckle darkly, and you narrowed your eyes at him as his question finally processed.
“Sparring? What the hell for?”
He shrugged, jostling your raised legs as his fingers dug firmly into your hips for a modicum of restraint. “I think I’d enjoy getting thrown around by you. Do you think you could?”
Merlin– he had officially lost his mind. “Maybe? I wouldn’t want to hurt you, though.”
Something wild sparked behind his irises then, and he began placing lingering kisses in the hollow of your leg. “I would love it if you did,” another soft press of his lips, this time right beside your aching center. “Seriously, when we do, promise me you won’t hold back.”
“You’re actually insane,” you wheezed out as his next kiss fell directly against your clit, and your nails dug fitfully into the padding of the lounge at the featherlight feeling.
“Only for you, darling.” Sebastian’s grip on your hips tightened as he mercifully sealed his mouth over your cunt, and your head kicked back against the sofa with an audible whack as your shrill voice suddenly echoed off the walls of the cavernous room. Your next breath was stolen from you as you felt Sebastian’s tongue circle over your clit, pressing and dragging the muscle down your heat to lap up as much of you as you could– and you swore you’d never been so wet in your fucking life.
By some miracle, you didn’t pass out from the overwhelming bliss, but you sure as hell saw stars dancing in the corners of your vision when Sebastian tongued at your tight entrance. The sordid sounds coming from the brunet between your legs was enough to have you clenching your thighs on either side of his head, and the blatantly aroused groan it pulled from his throat reverberated against you perfectly.
“Fuck, Sebastian,” you whimpered, snapping your hands up from the seat to fist in his curly, brown locs, and when you pulled him against you harder, he moaned at the sensation of your nails scraping against his scalp. He switched tactics then, shaking his head from side to side softly to rub his lips sinfully over your bundle of nerves. The friction was dizzying, and you brazenly bucked your hips against his chin to chase your steadily mounting pleasure. “Merlin–”
Sebastian was utterly transfixed by you. Through hooded eyes, he watched rapaciously as you crumbled above him; your chest rose and fell with labored breaths, and the ever darkening flush that decorated your skin made the green of his tie around your neck stand out even more, acting like a proprietary flag that claimed you as his. You cracked open your eyes to stare down at him, and your stomach flipped at his unbridled, lust-filled gaze boring into you.
Sitting forward more, Sebastian wound one of his arms over the angular curve of your hip bones, simultaneously pressing you harder into him while preventing you from shifting around. He mouthed sloppily against you, and you were left to balance your leg over his shoulder when he dropped his other hand to begin teasing at your soaked hole. He pressed the tip of his finger in slowly before withdrawing it completely, and he repeated the same motion a few more times until you were on the verge of tearing a fistfull of his hair out.
A keening sound ripped from your chest when he removed the digit slower than before, and you could feel Sebastian smirk against you. “S-Stop teasing,” you stuttered, your voice strained and airy.
Sebastian pulled away with a conniving chuckle, and the sight of your slick coating the entirety of his lower face damn near killed you on the spot. “I’m trying to take my time here– you taste so fucking sweet.”
His finger was back, sliding into you once again– only this time he spared you further torment by burying the appendage inside of you to the knuckle and curling it deliciously upwards. You gasped, arching off the back of the lounge in some vain attempt to feel more of him, but his strength pressing into your hips held you firmly in place, and a legitimate whine tumbled from your swollen lips.
He set an achingly slow pace, focusing more on wiggling his finger inside of you before pulling it back to thrust in again, and your throaty groan was cut short when Sebastian’s mouth reappeared on your cunt. He lapped at you furiously, working your brain into a tizzy with the rapid flicks of his tongue against your clit, and the cord in your gut was wrought tight as your climax roared to life in the far reaches of your mind. The wanton moans that slipped from Sebastian were electrifying, and the intensity of his ministrations increased when he added a second finger to the mix. Any pain or discomfort was nonexistent; all you could focus on was the sheer exhilaration his efforts brought you, and your hands tightened in his hair to silently warn him that you were close.
Leaning sideways for a better angle, Sebastian rolled his head against your inner thigh to peer up at you. Once your glazed over eyes landed on him, he let his mouth hang open in an obscene manner to lewdly flick his tongue over your nub at the same time he stroked your inner walls, and that was as much as you could take before you were crying out for Sebastian loud. Your orgasm hit you with the force of a train, stealing your breath and making your muscles tense so hard that your boyfriend’s face was effectively crushed between your trembling legs.
Sebastian took everything that you inflicted upon him in stride; the stinging drag of your nails through his hair, as well as the suffocating squeeze of your thighs on either side of his head. He relished in it– and he positively lived for how he could make you fall apart in such a way. His cock concurred with his thoughts, twitching enthusiastically against the confines of his trousers.
The freckled, Adonis incarnate before you rose to his full height after you had the good grace to release him from the stifling confines of your legs, groaning softly when his fingers slipped out of you. Sebastian regarded you with a predatory look that promised more, and you swallowed thickly as you watched his hands languidly work to undo the catch of his pants.
Worrying his bottom lip between his teeth, Sebastian’s brows pinched together with blatant need as he scanned your prone form against the sofa. “Fuck, do you have any idea what you do to me?” His imposing stature over you– shirtless and flushed, with his chest rising and falling from the strained breaths he pulled into his lungs– it had your heart hammering wildly against your sternum. You shook your head. “Then I’ll show you,” he vowed, and the timbre to his voice seemed to reignite the fire burning in your veins.
Working quickly, Sebastian shoved his trousers down to his thighs, pulling himself out of his briefs with a needy groan. He gave himself a few testing pumps, tipping his head back slightly when his fist squeezed around the bright red tip, and then he was zeroing in on you like you were the only thing in the room he cared to pay attention to. You were still quivering in your spot on the lounge when Sebastian stepped forward, hauling you upright by the tie around your bare neck to spin you around so you were kneeling on the cushions with your front pressed into the backrest of the couch.
It took everything in you not to sink back down on your wobbly legs, but then you felt Sebastian’s hands running down your back towards the shapely curve of your ass, and he squeezed at the skin there greedily before lining himself up with your spit-slick cunt. Far too eager to feel his cock inside of you, you watched over your shoulder as Sebastian gingerly pressed into you with a low, raspy moan, and your fingers dug into the backrest so hard, your knuckles blanched white.
Despite his urgency, Sebastian took his time rocking his hips into you, drinking in your sweet little sounds as he filled you up and slid home. “Fuck,” he breathed, leaning forward to rest his head between your shoulder blades as he buried himself to the hilt. His hands moved from your ass to your waist, holding you still with bruising strength as he got used to the sensation of your hypersensitive walls contracting around him. Your breaths were coming out fast and shallow, completely overwhelmed by the sheer size of him compared to his fingers. Having already come, you were like putty in Sebastian’s hands as he ground his cock into you firmly, and you felt him twitch inside you when your head fell forward against the upholstery of the seat with a gasp. “Fuck– you’re so wet still– feels so fucking perfect.”
When Sebastian pulled back to torturously thrust into you slowly, your hips rocked in tandem against him, and he redirected his eyes up from where the two of you were connected so he could drink in the expression on your face. Your lips were parted around a choked moan as he moved inside of you, those beautiful, luminescent eyes of yours sparkling with rampant affection and arousal, and his tie swayed around your neck in sync with his movements.
Sebastian hunched forward, lifting one of his hands to rake through your disheveled hair and pull your head back towards his shoulder, and you cried out suddenly before the sound transformed into a filthy moan that only served to spur Sebastian forward faster. His hold on you was unrelenting, effectively bending you backwards against his sweaty chest as he increased his pace and began spearing his cock into you with brutal efficiency.
It didn’t take long for him to start hitting the deepest parts of you, the thick head of his shaft curving up to graze deliciously over your sweet spot with every rough thrust. Your eyes rolled back in your skull, shameless noises spilling from your lips as Sebastian folded you backwards onto his cock to satiate himself. That familiar feeling blossomed low in your gut, and one of your hands flew back to dig your nails into the bare skin of Sebastian’s thigh behind you.
“Fuck, fuck, Sebastian–” your warbled voice was like music to his ears, pulling the corners of his mouth up into a devilish smile. His next thrust was particularly forceful, and the incriminating sound of skin slapping against skin filled the Undercroft, seemingly harmonizing with the cacophony of noises that the two of you created together. “Merlin–”
Sebastian growled, releasing your hair to trail his hand across your front and curl around your throat. He tightened his hold there, squeezing just enough so that your walls clenched around his cock as he upped his tempo. You were completely enveloped by him, held fast to his damp chest as he ruthlessly pounded into you, and the lack of oxygen to your brain numbed everything else as your second orgasm loomed threateningly overhead.
Overcome with telltale urgency, Sebastian chased his own pleasure desperately, bucking his cock deep into your clenching heat, wringing choked gasps and stuttered cries of his name from your open mouth, and he was fucking dizzy from how good it felt to be pressed against you, holding you tight in his arms. Sebastian tugged you closer to him to latch his lips over the sweaty skin below your ear, biting and sucking a mark there as he propelled his hips upwards inside of you.
There really wasn’t anything you could do to stop yourself from frantically rutting back in search of that building euphoria. You rode back onto Sebastian with as much give as you were allowed, your eyes squeezed shut from the pleasure and your thighs shaking from how good Sebastian was fucking you, filling you up deep and hard and fast, just how you liked it. The way he slammed you back down onto his rough thrusts by your throat only added fuel to the fire, leaving you a sloppy, gasping, pleading mess in his arms.
Sebastian released his ironclad grip around your waist to snake his hand lower to your sensitive clit, and your head fell back against his shoulder as he started rubbing firm circles over the overstimulated nub. Your voice strained against his uncompromising hold on your throat, “Fuck– Sebastian, please–”
“Come, darling, come on my cock. Let me hear your pretty noises, I’m so close,” he muttered the command against the shell of your ear, railing his cock into you so fast and so harshly, you had no choice but to oblige him.
Sebastian watched as you crumbled against him for the second time, utterly in love with the way your spine rounded as you sank into him, every part of your body trembling. Your walls tightened impossibly further around him, causing him to gasp into the crook of your neck, and Sebastian slammed his cock into your incredible cunt— nearly mindless from how you shook against him— and he fucked you clean through your orgasm until your sounds and body yanked him right over the edge with you. His dark eyes rolled shut, growling your name through his clenched teeth as his pace faltered before he was burying himself deep in you with a heady gasp.
The feeling of Sebastian emptying inside of you rendered you boneless, leaving your boyfriend with the task of keeping you upright as he ground his hips against your ass, milking himself dry with broken whimpers before halting his movements entirely. His hold around your throat loosened, and the rush of blood returning to your brain was akin to pure bliss alongside the remnants of your climax.
“Fucking hell,” he groaned after a few heated seconds, relaxing his grip on you so that he could slide himself out before gingerly lowering the two of you down onto the cushions together. Your hands slipped from the back of the couch and fell into your lap as Sebastian maneuvered you into a sitting position, your body too limp to even bother moving yourself. “Are you okay?”
You gave him a nonplussed blink as you willed your brain to function properly again, and then you nodded shakily. “Shit, yeah. I had no idea your bloodlust would turn you into such a lunatic, though,” you muttered, and Sebastian’s bellowing laugh roused you further from your post-coital state.
“It’s not bloodlust, darling. It’s you,” he countered easily, a smug smile playing on his freckled lips. He tucked his softening cock back into his briefs and tugged his pants back up over his hips before moving away from you to retrieve the scattered pieces of your uniform. When he reappeared with the ball of clothing, you took it graciously, staying seated on the couch as you worked your underwear up your unsteady legs. “I was serious about the sparring thing, too. I think it would be fun watching you let loose.”
You shot him a hesitant look, not particularly keen on his eagerness to get bloodied up at your hands, but his excitement at the thought was palpable, and you found yourself relenting to his ludicrous idea with a sigh after a few beats of silence. “Fine,” you conceded. “But only once. I don’t care how horny it makes you– I don’t like the thought of hurting you, no matter how easy it is to fix broken bones here.”
He had bent down to snatch his button up off the floor, but paused on his way up to glance at you with a pleased expression on his face. The shirt was momentarily forgotten as Sebastian fell to his knees once again, only this time it was to cradle your face in his warm hands and pull you in for a toe curling kiss. His thumbs traced along your cheekbones as his tongue delved deep in your mouth, and you sighed contentedly. The gentleness that always followed these heated moments between the two of you was, without a doubt, one of your favorite things.
Sebastian broke away to pepper a quick succession of lighter kisses all over your face, and you couldn’t help but laugh softly at his reverence. “Hell yes, whatever you want. I’ll do it wearing a damn ball gown if that’s what it takes.”
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re barking mad?”
He smirked, far too pleased to be hearing you say so. “From time to time, yes. Don’t lie, you love it.”
Your eyes twinkled with amusement, and fighting your smile proved to be easier said than done. “I love you. Your crazy ideas, however, I take with a grain of salt.”
From there, he stood fully to throw his shirt over his shoulders, and you mirrored his actions, redressing yourself as quickly as your shaky legs would allow. Once finished, you slipped Sebastian’s tie off of your neck, draping it over his shoulders with a coy smile, and you felt his arm coil around your waist to tug you flush against his front, stealing your lips in another steamy, doting kiss. You returned the gesture with equal fervor, rising to your tip-toes to trail your hands up into his hair to scratch shiver-inducing stripes down the nape of his neck.
The two of you stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity before the screeching gears of the metal gate drew your attention, and you pulled apart at the same time Ominis strode into the Undercroft. His face was contorted in concentration, his wand sweeping across the room until he seemed to sense that yes, his two best friends had indeed abandoned him in the Great Hall to disappear into their shared space.
“Where the hell have you two been?” He asked, not even bothering to confirm that you were truly there. His outstretched wand pointed towards you both as he made his way to the back of the room. “I thought we were meeting for lunch, I’ve been entertaining idle gossip for the better part of a half hour. What is it that I keep hearing about Leander getting punched in the face?”
At that, you stepped away from Sebastian, adjusting your skirt slightly before bashfully rubbing the back of your neck. “Ah, yeah. That was me,” you confessed. “Word travels fast. What exactly is being said?”
Ominis cocked a brow at you as he came to halt a few feet away, a strange look passing over his features as his wand pulsed in your direction. “Rumor has it you broke his nose. Please tell me this isn’t going to become a regular occurrence– I can hardly keep up with Sebastian coming to blows with students as it is.”
“It won’t, don’t worry. I doubt he’ll even come around me anymore after this.”
Sebastian snickered under his breath, eyeing you with a proud look that reminded you of your recent escapades, and you blushed under his knowing stare. “If Leander knows what’s good for him, he won’t so much as glance in your direction for the rest of the year. But on that note, I’m famished. Anyone up for food?”
“I’ve been ‘up for food’ for thirty minutes,” Ominis muttered as he turned on his heel to head for the gate. The three of you fell into step alongside one another, Sebastian’s hand brushing against yours as you walked towards the exit, but then Ominis was pausing mid step, tilting his head up to… sniff the air? How odd. “Merlin’s beard, it smells like sex in here.”
You snatched your hand away from Sebastian’s to slap your palms over your eyes in embarrassment, every ounce of blood in your body rushing to your head and heating your cheeks as you willed the floor to open up underfoot and swallow you whole. Your boyfriend, however, only laughed.
“We had to work up an appetite before finding you,” Sebastian mused, unashamed at having been caught by the blond man. “Sorry, Ominis. I’ll send an owl next time.”
“Please stop fucking in the Undercroft. I’m too scared to sit down here anymore– I can’t tell whether I’m avoiding your cum stains or not.”
“You’ll want to steer clear of the lounge for the foreseeable future, then.” Sebastian fired back instantly, not a lick of chagrin to be detected in his voice. “That’s a mess you’ll want to avoid.”
“Please stop talking,” you grit through your teeth, and the coquettish expression on the brunet’s face warranted a sharp look from you. “Or I can’t promise I won’t punch you in the face next.”
“Didn’t we just establish that I want you to go that route? Don’t threaten me with a good time.”
Ominis threw his hands up in utter exasperation, shaking his head in disbelief at Sebastian’s gall before damn near sprinting to leave the Undercroft, and the two of you were forced to skip after him as he ascended the staircase to head for the Great Hall. Even after sitting down and piling food on his plate, Sebastian continued to oggle you from his seat across the table. Every so often you would feel his foot nudge your calf, trailing the appendage up your leg to play with the hem of your skirt.
Despite your earlier mortification, he did a stellar job of brightening your mood, and when Ominis groused over his mug that the two of you should just get fucking married already, Sebastian looked at you wonderstruck, and he seemed to seriously consider it.

Sebastian: Sometimes she walks, sometimes she shuffles, periodically she ambles.
Garreth: Once, I'm pretty sure I saw her do a little dance into certain death.

A Reprieve From Chaos— An Introduction to The Archive
Tumblr media
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
A strange artifact was found deep in the castle which contains the stories, rumors, whispers, and anecdotes about the students, which you, the main character, may or may not have been there to witness. Whoever made this is still unknown, but it contains a slice of normalcy that allows you to get to know the students just as students in all their teenage glory. Be it their dramas, secrets, or shenanigans.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
𝕾𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘: The continuous flow of events for the students that may or may not include the main character.
𝕬𝖓𝖊𝖈𝖉𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖘: An extension of a student's story, a documentation of random things that they do.
𝕽𝖚𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖘: Assumptions on the students that somehow spill from one lips to another or simply what one student thinks of another. How did it end up here? Who knows?
𝖂𝖍𝖎𝖘𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖘: Are the stories that are up to the main character to decide if it is for them. After all, a whisper can be an extension of one's private thoughts that easily dissipates in the air with no one to hear. Whispers can be continued, if the main character wishes to.

“Hurry up now,” your mother said brightly as she ladled a bit of porridge into a bowl for you to eat. “Master Dervin will be cross if you're late with his breakfast.”
Though the two of you were mere servants in the Naga Lord’s home, she always fed you first before you had to do your duties for the morning.
She glanced up as you scarfed down your breakfast, her eyes warming as they met your father’s.
“Good morning, my favorite ladies,” he said, kissing her and ruffling your hair.
“Papa! I have to work!” You pouted, but he just snickered, stealing your spoon and taking a bite of your porridge.
“Don't bother making yourself neat for that snake bastard,” he chuckled as his hands slid around your mother’s waist.
“Charles, please. Someone might hear, and we'll be out on the street!”
He shrugged. As you finished your meal, your mother arranged the morning dishes for the Naga family on a silver cart, taking a moment to smooth and repin your hair before you were to serve them.
Your father was sure to spit in Dervin’s bowl when your mother looked away, making your eyebrows jump. He put a finger over his lips, winking at you.
“I'm off to the stable,” he said, grabbing an apple as he went. “Have a nice day, my pretty girls!”
You blinked at the contaminated bowl, wondering if you should throw it out.
“What are you staring at?” Your mother chided, pushing the cart towards the door. “Get along; I can hear them coming down the stairs.”
You hurriedly fixed a pleasant but distant look on your lips as you wheeled the cart into the dining room.
“Good morning, Mr. Leander,” you said to Dervin's only son, as he was the first to enter the dining room.”
“You’re radiant this morning as always (Y/N),” he beamed, taking his spot at the table. “but stop calling me ‘mister’ you never used to.”
Your ears heated as you placed his breakfast in front of him.
“It's not appropriate, sir. We were children then. You're to be the master of the house and will be married soon. I'm sure your fiancee wouldn’t appreciate-”
He cut off your words with a sharp hand.
“Don't speak of unpleasant things,” he grumbled.
“Apologies, sir.”
“Stop calling me-”
The arrival of his mother cut off his own words. She was a lovely Naga, sharing Leander’s white hair and sapphire blue eyes. Like his, her tail was a shocking electric blue.
“Stop prattling with that servant, Leander,” she snapped. “She has work to do. You're bothering her.”
Mrs. Elanore was not a pleasant woman, but she didn't like you servants to be harassed by the males of the house. Whether it was actual concern or jealousy, you didn't know, but your mother, especially, appreciated it.
Dervin, her husband, took every opportunity to corner her, trying to ply her with gifts and sweet words. Your mother was having none of it, which is why you delivered their meals, not her, and why your father spit in his food.
You nodded, thanking Elanore as you served her the tea she liked.
“Where is that imbecile?” she muttered, referring to her husband. “There are so few things I ask of him, but he can't manage the simplest tasks. He is to arrive on time for every meal. There must be some decorum in this household!
Her sharp blue eyes flicked to you.
“Go get him (Y/N).”
Leander slid in front of you like a vibrant  blue flash before you could even respond.
“I'll go, mother. (Y/N) has her work, as you said.”
She gave him a tight nod, and you took the opportunity to finish setting the table for their return.
“I should fire your family,” Elanore mused. “your father would be happier, don't you think?”
You glanced up for a moment to find her eyes traveling over your form.
“You and your mother are too pretty to be maids,” she snorted. “You'll only cause trouble wherever you go.”
“Our family has served yours for generations,” you muttered, scared she might put you all on the street. “My grandparents died here, and so did theirs.”
“Just like a human,” she hissed, baring her teeth. “Servile and obedient. You’d think you’d have found something else to do in all those years.”
“Apologies, ma’am,” you said, looking at your shoes.
She waved a dismissive hand at you, sipping her tea.
“It’s in your nature. There’s nothing to be done. You and your mother are good at your jobs at least.”
Your cheeks warmed at the backhanded compliment. It was different when Dervin or Leander complimented you. She acknowledged the skill that had been passed through generations, not how you looked. You and your mother knew how to run a house. Your masters needed structure to maintain their dignity. With little to do, they would become depressed slobs if you didn’t keep everything running efficiently.  At least, that’s what your grandmother told you.
Slithering through the wide doorway, Dervin and Leander settled into their spots at the table, and you took your place in the corner, waiting in case one of them needed something. The two male Nagas looked very similar in their features, handsome with a strong jaw and wide shoulders, but Dervin’s hair was jet black, as were his eyes. They always appeared blank and cold, which frightened you. Elanore wasn’t warm, but her gaze reflected an expressive nature, not a monstrous stillness.
Your eyes watched him take a bite of his breakfast, trying to hide the disgust that roiled in your stomach.
“Where’s your mother?” he snapped after a few big bites.
You didn’t speak at first, your eyes drifting to Elanore for permission. She answered for you.
“She’s in the kitchen where she ought to be. The servants are my business as the Lady of the house. Don’t bother yourself with their whereabouts.”
“I pay them,” he barked, but she ignored him, turning her attention to Leander.
“You’re to visit Iris today, Leander. I’ve purchased a gift for you to bring your fiancee.”
She snapped her fingers at you, and you hurried to her side to take the small package and walk it around the table to her son.
“I don’t wish to bring her any gifts,” he snorted, not even taking the gift from your hand. “She’s not my fiancee.”
Elanore rubbed her temples.
“The two of you are infuriating, you know that? You have one job, Leander. You have to marry well and produce an heir.”
She waved a finger at you.
“You can keep your little maid as a comfort doll if you like, but you will do as I have arranged.”
“I’m a grown man, mother. I don’t have to do anything.”
Electricity crackled between their eyes as they engaged in a silent power struggle. You stood awkwardly to the side, still holding the gift.
“I’m sick of this! I do my very best to advise you two idiots on the proper way to conduct yourselves, and you act like spoiled children!”
Her tail snapped faster than you could see and struck Leander across the cheek with a crack. Blood dribbled down his pale skin, and his eyes hung on her, the warm blue turning to ice.
“I should have never married a common husband like you,” she snarled, turning her ire toward Dervin. Vulgarity and Mediocrity are in your blood, and you’ve infected your son!”
Dervin’s black eyes flashed.
“My mediocre blood saved your foolish noble family from destitution. Thanks to my benevolence, you are able to live in the house your family has owned for generations. If not for me, you’d be begging on the streets, pleading with your relatives to take you in as a servant.”
“Fools,” she snarled, picking up her tea and slithering out of the room.
“Bring your mother to me,” Dervin demanded when she was out of earshot.
You let out a trembling breath as you thought up a lie.
“She went into town this morning for groceries, sir,” you said, knowing he’d never lower himself to search for her in the kitchen.
You screamed as the bowl he was eating from sailed across the room, shattering beside your head.
“Father!” Leander shouted.
Dervin gave him an amused but cool smirk before turning his attention to you.
“Send her to my room when she returns,” he barked and stormed out.
You leaned against the wall, panting as you mentally checked yourself for harm. Leander’s warm hands cupped your cheeks, looking you over.
“Did he hurt you?” he asked.
Your gazes met, but words wouldn’t come, so you shook your head.
“Don’t be afraid,” he said, his warm arms wrapping around you and pressing you to his chest.
You inhaled the spicy scent of the soap he used mixed with his own natural fragrance.
“I won’t let any harm come to you.”
When he pulled away, you found yourself looking at your feet, trying to avoid his gaze.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I dropped the gift,” you muttered, picking up the broken box.
You plucked the pretty hairpin from the shards of ceramic, seeing it was still whole.
“I’ll find a new box,” you said, trying to slide around him.
He stopped you with a hand on your shoulder, curling the other around your fingers.
“Keep it,” he said. “I’m not marrying Iris. My mother has no say in the matter, despite how she likes to posture.”
Your gaze shifted to the red slash bisecting his cheek.
“Let’s get this cleaned for you, sir. It will be a problem if it gets infected.”
He frowned but followed you to the kitchen.
“Is everything alright?” your mother asked as you pulled the first aid kit off a shelf.
“Good morning, zhingha,” Leander said, greeting your mother with a kiss on the cheek.
The word meant “mother” in the Naga’s old language. He had never considered his biological mother his; when he was a boy, he got quite attached to yours. He spent most of his time in the kitchen with you, playing and avoiding Elanore’s tantrums when you were children. The two of you had made the pantry your fort, and you’d put on little shadow plays while you lay on the floor together.
Your mother’s eyes focused on his wound, and she clucked.
“Poor thing, come bend down where I can reach you. You’ve grown into such a tall man,” she said, taking the kit from you and pulling out the correct supplies.
You hopped on the counter, swinging your feet as you watched her disinfect and bandage the cut.
“What mother in their right mind would do such a thing to their son,” she muttered as she worked.
She already knew who’d done it because she treated Leander’s wounds often. When she was done, she patted him on the head like when he was a little boy.
“That’s better.”
“We should go into town today,” he said. “My father is looking for you.”
She frowned, a flash of fear streaking across her face.
“Don’t worry. I’m supposed to be visiting Iris. We can take the carriage, and you can visit with your friends instead. Go have Charles ready it.”
She nodded, giving him a wan smile before she hurried to find your father. You hopped off the counter and headed to do your chores while your mother was safely out of the house.
Before you could make it out the door, Leander’s thick, electric blue tail coiled around you.
“Ah, ah, you’re coming too, saiya,” he cooed, dragging you into his arms.
Your heart thumped at the silly nickname he’d given you as a child. The word meant “little bear. " When he was young, he was fascinated with your round ears compared to his, which pointed at the end. As they had so often back then, his finger traced the arch of one as he hummed his pleasure.
“Sir, you shouldn’t,” you whispered, but Leander was too pleased with you in his arms.
He dipped his head, nibbling at your ear.
“I should eat you up, sweet little thing,” he whispered, making your body explode in butterflies.
He carried you out the back door to the stable, where your father was busy arranging the horses to pull the carriage. When he saw you tucked behind Leander’s large biceps, he frowned.
“Put my daughter down. She’s not your doll,” he said, his tone more curt than he probably should have been with a family member of the house he served.
Out of only politeness, you were sure, he set you down. Your mother let out a light, silvery giggle, patting your father on the shoulder.
“Oh, don’t be so strict, Charles,” she said. “He doesn’t mean any harm by it.”
As Leander tugged you by the hand into the carriage, you heard your Dad lower his voice, so he thought the Naga couldn’t hear.
“I don’t like those snakes touching her. They are far too familiar. Miss Elanore’s grandfather would never have allowed him to fondle her the way he does. Things were the way they should be when he was around.”
Beside you, Leander snorted, rolling his eyes.
“He also drove the family to bankruptcy,” he muttered under his breath.
“Listen,” your father went on as he helped your mother onto the seat next to him, and still unaware you could hear him quite clearly. “I’ve been talking with the Willards about (Y/N).”
“The Willards?” she asked. “The tailors?”
“Yes, they have a boy about (Y/N)’s age. Apparently, he has taken an interest in her, and his father approves. He thinks a girl raised as a maid will make a dutiful wife. I think we ought to consider it. We can visit while we’re in town today.”
You remembered the Willard's son Joshua from when you were sent on errands to pick up clothes for Elanore. He was a handsome young man, though a little on the skinny side. He seemed nice enough. Still, your cheeks burned, and you folded your hands tightly, hearing your parents plot your marriage.
“I don’t know, dear,” your mother hummed. “Do you really think it’s a good idea?”
He let out a grunt.
“I’d do just about anything to get our girl away from that snake. He’s only going to ruin her, string her along, and throw her away when he’s bored. They’re all the same. The Willard’s can give her a good life.”
You felt Leander stiffen beside you. As the carriage took off, his tail wrapped around you so tight you whimpered. He glanced down, his face darkening to a cool blue.
“I’m so sorry,” he muttered, loosening his muscles but not letting you go.
He gently unwrapped the hairpin, clutched in your palm, and busied himself fastening it to your hair.
“So pretty,” he murmured, greedy eyes eating you up. “I won’t let anyone else touch you (Y/N).”
You weren’t sure if that was supposed to be comforting. You’d always liked Leander. He was very handsome, and as children, you’d been inseparable. However, you also realized the massive gap between your two worlds. You were just a maid, and he was the only son of a wealthy lord. It wasn’t meant to be. Your father had explained to you many times before that Leander only doted on you because he was immature and unwilling to grow up. He thought he could still play make-believe with your life, and he warned you to be wary of him.
Feeling raw and confused, you tried to keep your eyes out the window, focused on the passing countryside as you made your way toward town. When your father stopped to park the carriage, he nodded to your mother as you climbed out.
She held out a hand to you.
“Darling, I need you to come with me. We’re going to stop at the tailor’s,” she said, carefully avoiding Leander’s gaze.
He, however, would not be tricked.
“How convenient. I need to stop there as well,” he said with a grin, tugging you back towards him with his tail. “(Y/N), keep me company as we walk so I don’t get bored.”
Your father gave him a deep grimace but was silent as he finished tying up the horses and escorted your mother by the arm down the busy avenue, walking a few steps ahead of you. You watched the two of them whisper to one another as you made your way to the Willard’s shop.
“Greetings!” Marshall Willard said with a grin when he saw you and your parents enter the shop.
His eyes jumped to the large Naga next you, and he winced just slightly before calling his son.
“Joshua! Come greet our guests. I’ll help the customer.”
Joshua appeared from the back, giving you a pleasant smile.
“Mr. and Mrs. (Y/LN). It’s wonderful to see you,” he said politely. “Can I offer you some tea?”
Meanwhile, his father greeted Leander.
“Young Lord Szake! What can I help you with this morning?”
You moved to follow your parents to the kitchen with Joshua, but Leander pulled you back by the shoulders.
“I’m here to buy (Y/N) some dresses,” he said, pushing you gently in front of him.
Everyone in the room looked at you, and your cheeks burned.
“What? Why, my lord?” you stammered.
He tipped his head at you.
“If you’re to be my personal attendant, you can’t follow me around in threadbare wool dresses. You ought to represent the Szake family well.”
“Personal attendant?” you parroted, confused. “But I’m just a maid.”
“Not anymore,” he declared. “Every Lord has a personal attendant to handle the paperwork and their calendar…those sorts of things.”
“But isn’t that normally a man?” Mr. Willard asked.
Leander beamed at him, a cold smile full of hate.
“(Y/N) has known me since I was just a child. She knows everything about me. I wouldn’t dare trust anyone else with my personal affairs.”
Your father frowned.
“Nonsense,” he barked. “(Y/N) is going to be married and have a domestic life, as she should. You’re a wealthy Lord; I’m sure you can find a qualified candidate.”
Joshua nodded beside him. You looked up at Leander, eyes large.
“I can’t be your personal attendant, sir,” you added. “It’s not proper. What will people think?”
He smirked at you, his long, strong fingers pinching your chin so you had to look at him.
“Fine…If your father insists you have a domestic life, you shall.”
Your shoulders wilted with relief, and you let out a breath.
“Oh, thank goo-”
“As my wife.”
Everyone in the room’s eyes were as wide as saucers.
“What?!” they all said at once.
Leander gave Mr. Willard another bitterly cold grin.
“Measure her for dresses fitting the station of a Lord’s fiancee.”
“Absolutely not!” your father said.
“Lord Szake will never allow of this!” Mr. Willard pointed out.
“She’s to be my fiancee!” Joshua hissed, taking an incensed step towards Leander. “My father has already approved it!”
Leander’s gaze shot to him, danger reflected in his irises.
“There are not words on this plane to describe how little I care about whatever arrangement your families have worked out. (Y/N) will marry me, and you will dress her properly.”
He sank into his coils, pushing you in front of Mr. Willard, snapping his fingers.
“Now.”
You saw the man’s jaw tick, but refusing Leander’s request would only be bad for his business, so he pulled out his measuring tape and approached you. Not sure what was happening, you gave him a pleading look, begging him to say something. Reading your confusion and fear, his stare shifted to one more gentle.
“Lift your arms, please, miss,” he said quietly.
The room was dead silent while he did as he was told. Joshua and your father glared at Leander, who seemed entirely unbothered, while your mother appeared uncertain. You watched her suck in a deep breath, straightening her shoulders before she approached the Naga, speaking in hushed tones.
“Sir, are you sure this is wise? I’m not opposed to this match. I-I know…I can see you love her…I’m only worried for (Y/N)’s safety. Such arrangements between classes rarely work out well. Your fellow nobles will never accept her. Would you subject her to their cruelty?”
For a moment, he seemed to be considering her words, eyes sliding to you.
“My family has never been accepted into our peers good graces. You know my father was a common merchant. My mother married him out of desperation. She traded her noble title for his fortune. People’s opinions are only that. Opinions. (Y/N) and I will face the same prejudices together. Do you wish your daughter to continue her life as a maid or-?”
He gave Joshua a dirty look.
“Or become a servant to a husband who can never love her as I can?”
Your mother sighed. She lifted her hand and smoothed a bit of hair that had come out of place as if he were her own son.
“Please…for me, be serious about this if it is what you intend to do.”
He tipped his cheek into her palm.
“I will never betray your daughter zhingha.”
Your father let out a strangled noise, marching out the front door, slamming it behind him.
Joshua, who had been pacing in place, stomped over to you, grabbing you by the arm to face him.
“Is this what you really want (Y/N)? A snake for a husband?”
Before you could answer, Leander’s tail shot out, jerking him away from you and tossing him into the wall.
“Don’t touch her!”
The young man climbed to his feet, clutching his ribs.
“You nobles can’t just take whatever you like! (Y/N) belongs with us!”
Leander slid across the room like an elegant blue river, lifting Joshua up by his throat.
“Do not address my fiancee by her first name again. If I see your eyes on her, I will gouge them out!”
Joshua’s furious face told you he didn’t plan to back down. His father dropped the measuring tape, hurrying to rescue his son.
“Of course, he wont’ My Lord,” he said. “You’ve made your intentions quite clear. Yes, Joshua?”
He gave Leander another long look before he gave in.
“As you say, My Lord.”
Leander dropped him, returning to his seat near you, and jerked his head at the tailor.
“Continue,” he snarled.
“Go to the back and help your mother,” Mr. Willard said to his son.
Joshua gave you a last lingering glance before he disappeared.
You arrived back at the mansion in a very different dress than when you'd left. Leander had insisted on buying you and your mother matching readymade dresses from the shop window while you waited for the fourteen others he ordered to be made. The soft peach satin fabric was the nicest thing you’d ever worn.
The first thing you heard as you walked in the black door was the smashing of ceramic.
“Stay here,” Leander said.
Your eyes quickly flicked to your mother, who grabbed your hand and pulled you into the pantry, peeking out through a crack in the door.
“Father?” Leander called, opening the door to the dining room.
He ducked as a vase flew past, smashing to pieces on the stove.
“That bitch!” You heard him screaming.
He shoved past his son, dark eyes jerking around the room.
“Father! Calm down! What's happened?”
“Where is the human woman?” he snarled.
You and your mother slipped back into the shadows, trying to be as silent as mice.
“Father! She’s not back from shopping yet. Please, tell me what’s happened.”
His eyes narrowed, but seemed satisfied with his answer.
“It’s your mother,” he snarled. “She’s gone.”
“Gone?”
He bared his fangs at his son.
“Don’t parrot me like a dumb animal. The damn woman left! She stole the gold in the safe and disappeared! No one’s seen her!”
He paced on his thick tail.
“She must have paid off the townsfolk. No one will tell me where she’s gone!”
“Has she made off with our fortune?”
His father glanced up at him.
“Of course not; I keep the majority of our money in the bank. Only you and I can access it. I planned for this possibility but never expected her to do it! She only got off with our emergency fund…but it was enough to live well for a long time. When will the human woman return?”
“I don’t know, father,” he said. “But whatever you need, I can help you with it.”
He waved a clawed hand.
“I don’t need anything done! I’m going to marry the woman. I should never have agreed to marry Elanore. I won’t make that mistake again. An obedient human wife will suit me better.”
Leander let out a cold chuff.
“She’s already married, father!”
“Easily fixed,” he hissed with murder in his eyes.
“You can’t be serious!”
He tried to push past his son toward the door leading out to the stable. Leander blocked his way, his icy irises determined.
“I can’t let you do that, Father,” he said, his tone low and even.
Your father came marching through the door a moment later, unaware of the drama playing out. He froze where he stood, eyes immediately focused on the two Naga, staring one another down.
The opportunity in front of him was too tempting for Dervin to resist, and his tail shot out, a victorious smile on his lips. You couldn’t stay the scream that erupted from your throat, your mother rushing past you to protect her husband.
Dervin’s focus shifted to her, and Leander lunged at the same second. Caught off guard, he threw his father to the floor, and they quickly became a writhing ball of tails and arms.
“You’d betray me too, son?” he gasped as he tried to overpower Leander.
You smelled the coppery stench of blood as sharp nails scraped each other's skin. More than willing to help, your father picked up a heavy cast iron skillet, making his way around the hissing Naga, quiet on his feet.
There was a resounding crunch as the skillet descended on Dervin’s head. He flopped to the floor, limp. Blood leaked in a pool around him, but he still dragged in a wet breath. Before anyone else could move, Leander snatched a kitchen knife from the rack, jamming it through his chest. Dervin let out his gurgling last breath and then was still.
You and your mother clutched one another, sinking to the floor. Neither of you knew what to say or do, but your father and Leander didn’t need any prompting.
“Help me with him,” your father said, slipping his arms under the dead Naga’s. “We’ll bury him under the pig pens.”
Leander grunted his assent, lifting the majority of the weight as they maneuvered the body outside.
“Come,” your mother whispered, trembling. “The blood.”
You nodded, filling the mop bucket with water before pulling every towel from the cabinet to mop up the mess.
“What now?” you found yourself whispering, though there was no reason to.
She shrugged.
“That’s for Leander to decide. He’s the Lord of this house.”
By the time they returned, you’d scrubbed everything to a sparkle, the only blood left staining your new dresses and the towels.
“Take those off,” your father said. “We’ll burn the linens.”
The two of you nodded, slipping the heavy dresses over your shoulders until you only wore the thick shifts underneath. Leander helped you out of your shoes and slipped the red-splattered stockings off your feet.
Your father gave you and Leander a long look before he spoke.
“Take your fiancee to bed,” he said. “She shouldn’t have seen all this. I trust it won’t happen again.”
Leander returned a tight nod, and something passed between their gazes. They’d forged a silent agreement.
It wasn’t until your mother and father left out the back door to burn the rest of the evidence that the tears came. It was a relief Dervin was gone. He would have killed your father and hurt your mother, but it was still horrific.
“Shhh,” Leander hummed, scooping you up in his arms.
He carried you upstairs to his bedroom, curling into a tight ring to settle you in the center. His arms wrapped around you, and he pressed your head into his chest.
“Everything is going to be okay now,” he said softly, carding the strands of your hair with his long fingers.
“Lei, are we all going to jail?” you sniffled, his childhood nickname falling past your lips all on its own.
He chuckled, his eyes sparkling when they met yours.
“No. My mother did us a favor. If anyone asks, they’re touring the countryside until they're entirely forgotten.”
“What happens now?” you asked.
He tipped your chin with his thumb, dipping his head to slip his lips against yours. They were so warm that you felt your jaw's tension melt away. His eyes searched yours when they parted, carrying a lightness you hadn’t seen in many years.
“I’m going to marry you, and your parents will move out of the servant’s quarters. Your father and mother have earned their place in the Szake family. We’ll find some new staff.”
You nodded, his hair forming a smooth curtain blocking the world.
“Sleep now,” he hummed. “All is as it should be.”
Despite how you wanted to keep your eyes open, they slid shut against your will.
“Would you like lavender or rose tea, Miss (Y/N)?” your new maid asked as she opened the tea box in front of you.
“Rose,” you said, turning your attention back to the catalog in front of you.
You sat comfortably in the rose garden, enjoying the sunshine as you planned your wedding. It had been a month since the terrible night that Dervin died. When Leander had informed the merchants of the town that he was getting married, they’d sent piles of samples and booklets for you to look through. You’d never realized there were so many options! It was a little overwhelming. Since you’d come from humble beginnings, it felt strange spending so much money on decorations and lace, but Leander informed you it should be a grand occasion and not to spare a cent.
“Um…Miss (Y/N)?” one of your maids said, looking slightly frightened.
“What’s wrong, Lily?” you asked, concerned.
“Well…there’s a Miss Iris at the door looking for you. Should I bring her?”
Leander was out for the day, meeting with one of his importers, so you weren’t sure what she could want.
“Of course, bring her here.”
A minute later, an elegant Naga came slithering into the garden. Her curly violet hair was pinned in a pretty updo and she wore an elaborate pink dress, covered in ribbons.
“Hello, Miss Iris,” you said, waving for her to take a place at the table. “Can I offer you some tea?”
Her brow was drawn, and she looked you up and down.
“So…you’re who he picked,” she pouted. “Over me.”
Your ears burned, realizing you were speaking to Leander’s former fiancee.
“There’s no competition,” you said.
She snorted.
“Obviously not.”
She narrowed her eyes at you, and you expected a verbal lashing. You were a mere maid, after all. It was absurd Leander would take you as his fiancee. She sucked in a deep breath, and her expression suddenly softened.
“How…How did you do it?”
Your eyebrows jumped, confused.
“Do what?”
She looked around, uncomfortable.
“Can I tell you a secret?”
You took a breath as your maid politely poured her a cup of tea.
“I suppose so…If you’d like.”
“I’m relieved.”
“Relieved…why?”
She sipped her tea, thinking before she spoke.
“Because I don’t particularly care for Leander. In fact, I don’t like him at all. He’s…very…intense. He kind of creeps me out. He only spoke of you when we were out on dates; it was incredibly boring and awkward. Not to mention…the way he talked about you…He was fixated on all of your little ticks. Did you know he carries a lock of your hair around with him? And sometimes your stockings! He showed up one day elated because you’d accidentally sneezed on him and used his handkerchief to wipe your nose! He was cuddling it like a treasure!”
Your ears heated. Where had he gotten a lock of your hair? You’d never given it to him.
“He what?”
Iris waved her previous statement away.
“Anyway, I wouldn’t have liked him even if he hadn’t. He’s just…too much like a Naga male. Once they have something in their mind, they get…obsessed.
Our parents arranged our marriage. I hate that tradition. I’d never force my child into a marriage without love. That’s how you get murdered by some enterprising mistress!”
You blinked, unsure if you should be offended or not, but she went on.
“Honestly, there’s…someone else who has my interest. Only…he’s not a noble Naga.”
“Oh! That is a puzzle, isn’t it?”
She nodded, stretching her hand across the table to touch yours.
“That’s why I need to know how you did it! How did you win over Leander’s parents? Maybe if I can tell Joshua how to do it, I can…I don’t know…”
You giggled.
“Joshua…Willard?”
Her violet irises flared.
“You know him?”
“Ah…yes…but not well. He seems like a very nice man.”
Her eyes glazed over, wistful thoughts playing in her mind.
“He’s so kind and considerate. I’ve never met anyone like him, so gentle. A few weeks ago, I went to pick up a dress, and he helped me. His hands were so soft, and his voice was so sweet. Every night since then, we’ve been meeting in secret! I know he’s the right one and he thinks so too!
I don’t want to brute of a husband. I want a kind person who I can talk to. That’s why I have to know how to convince my parents not to marry me off to some…stranger!”
You weren’t sure how to answer.
“I think…You should do whatever you must to protect your beloved,” you said. “I can’t tell you exactly what to do because it will be different for you. We’re all different in different circumstances.
She looked a little disappointed.
“What I do know, though, Iris, is that if you love one another, you will find a way You two are adults, not children. No one can make you marry someone you don’t want to. It’s only a matter of how far you are willing to go, what sacrifices you will make to have the life you want.”
She nodded, thinking.
“But…” you started, pausing to sip your tea, “What if your parents went on a little vacation?”
“A vacation?”
You shrugged.
“Once you’re married, you’re married,” you said. “Maybe by the time they return…if they return… you’ve sorted your affairs.”
The two of you shared a knowing look, and she brightened.
“I like you (Y/N), you’re very clever! You’ve given me hope! Is there anything I can help you with in return? I want us to be friends!”
You smiled, picking up one of the catalogs.
“Yes, actually. I have no idea what is proper for a lady. Can you help me? We can plan our weddings together.”
She beamed at you, taking the catalog.
“Of course!”
A few hours later, Leander came slithering through the garden.
“Iris? What are you doing here?” he asked, his shoulders stiffening. “I thought I made it clear…”
Iris snorted and waved him away.
“I’m not here for you,” she said, raising her nose at him. “(Y/N) and I are planning our weddings.”
“Your wedding?” he asked, and she grinned.
“Yes! And now that you’re here,” she wrinkled her nose at him. “I think I’ll be off.”
She leaned down and kissed your cheek.
“Thank you for your advice (Y/N). I’m going to talk to Joshua,” she said before sliding past Leander without saying goodbye.
“What was that all about?” Leander asked when she was gone.
You shrugged.
“True love, I guess.”
He pulled you into his coils, peeking over your shoulder at the catalogs on the table. He ran a finger over the things you’d circled.
“Lei, can I ask you something?” you asked.
“Anything, love.”
You twisted around to look at him, narrowing your eyes.
“Did you tell Iris that you were excited I sneezed on you?”
“Ah…noooo,” he lied, his whole face darkening to a deep blue. “Wh-Why would she say something silly like that?”
You giggled.
“Of course not,” you said, patting his chest. “I must have misheard her. Can I borrow your handkerchief? It's a little warm out here.”
He passed it to you and you daintily patted your forehead, handing it back. His eyes widened at the little scrap of fabric in his hand and he hastily stuck it in his jacket pocket.
Leander might be a weirdo, but he was your weirdo and you wouldn't have it any other way.

ONESHOT: Brewing Affections ~ Sebastian Sallow x Fem!Reader
GENRE: Fluff, Smut, Angst
Masterlist
"Hurry up, Garreth, we're going to be late!" you groan as you look behind you while your brother struggles to take out his wand from his robe.
"Relax sis, we still have a whole five minutes," he retorts.
You sigh. "It's not a short walk to the potions room, you know," you reply, rolling your eyes as you turn back around. "You always make us late."
"Do not!" he retorts.
"Oh really? Last week, we were almost 10 minutes late to charms, and the week before, we were 15 minutes late, and the week before—"
"Okay okay, I get it!" he grumbles. "We'll make it, though. Besides, who's going to care?"
You sigh. He doesn't understand the importance of being punctual. You, on the other hand, are a stickler for being on time. It's the one thing you don't need to be smart to do at this school.
Finally, after a seven-minute walk, you arrive only slightly late to Professor Sharp's potions class. The two of you stand by your cauldrons with the other 7th year Gryffindors who tell you that Sharp is still writing something down on his desk, and hasn't begun. Unfortunately for you, this causes Garreth to stick out his tongue at you and say, "I told you so!"
You scoff, "Whatever."
The two of you get ready for the lesson, pulling out your vials, measuring spoons, and ingredients. But when Professor Sharp is finally ready to start class, he clears his throat and begins to explain that today's class will be slightly different. "Today," he says with a bit of a proud grin on his face, "I will be pairing you up with different partners. Good practice for some of you who can't seem to get along with the other houses in here."
"I swear to god if he pairs me up with that wannabe pretty boy Sallow," Garreth begins to complain to Leander on the opposite side of where you sit, "I'll fucking quit this class."
You roll your eyes. Garreth has always had a rivalry with Sebastian. It's not really a rivalry, but more so that the two are complete opposites of each other. You don't usually pay it much mind. They're both on rival quidditch teams, and have different opinions on nearly everything so it's pretty normal. However, the fact that they're both so competitive makes their arguments much worse.
"Now, please listen carefully, for I will not be repeating myself," Professor Sharp continues, "When I call your names, you will go sit across from your partner. Understood?"
There are a couple of quiet mumbles of "Yes Sir," before Professor Sharp continues.
"Mr. Cromwell, with Ms. Jones."
"Lucky Cromwell," Garreth nods to Leander.
"Ms. Huxley, with Mr. Prewett," Sharp continues. "Hm, then I'll have Ms. Weasley with Mr. Sallow."
Garreth's head immediately turns to yours and he mouths, "Better you than me."
You, however, just shake your head and shrug your shoulders. It's not a big deal to you, even though the two of you can't get along, you'll at least be able to get the job done.
You watch as Sebastian slowly makes his way across the classroom to your station. You're not sure why he's moving so slowly, but you think it might be his ego weighing him down.
"Better keep your hands to yourself, Sallow," Garreth whispers to him with narrowing eyes. "Touch my sister and you're dead."
"I think you better tell her that," Sebastian smirks as he leans against the table, "She's the one who couldn't keep her hands off of me yesterday."
Your eyes widen. What the fuck is he talking about?
"What the hell are you talking about?" Garreth's voice is rising. "You lying—"
"Hey hey," Leander holds his arm out in front of him, "Don't get yourself in trouble with Sharp."
Sebastian is smiling to himself as the four of you watch Professor Sharp call the rest of the class to their new stations. Once Garreth is gone, you're left to deal with Sebastian on your own. It's then that Professor Sharp gives directions, explaining that he will be giving each table their own, unknown potion and are expected to brew it before leaving the room. "Teamwork," he tells the class. "Will be imperative to completing this potion I promise you've never attempted to brew before. And, I have a feeling it will take some time," Professor Sharp shakes his head.
You try not to ignore how close Sebastian is getting to you as Sharp passes out instructions on a small piece of paper. Once you receive yours, you read it aloud to Sebastian.
"You know those directions are never accurate," he sighs once you finish, picking up way too much Serpentine Shadowroot than needed.
"Are you serious? I don't think Sharp would give us a mystery potion with incorrect directions," you shake your head as you snatch the shadow root from his hand.
"Yes, I am serious. You must not be familiar with Sharp's techniques then. Remind me, are you new here? Do you need me to teach you, Y/N," Sebastian grins, leaning in close.
You roll your eyes. "Don't pretend like you know him better than anyone else. You're always trying to prove yourself to everyone."
"And what's wrong with that?" Sebastian asks.
"You're so annoying," you shake your head as you measure out just the right amount of shadow root.
"You really want us to fail, don't you? Are you trying to spend extra time with me, Weasley?" he then asks you, his smirk only widening on his face.
"Merlin's Beard, you just can't help yourself, can you? I'm pretty sure I've made it fairly obvious I'm not interested in you flirting with me right now, Sallow," you grumble.
"Oh? Not right now?" he repeats. "So does that mean I've got a shot later?"
"Shut up, Sallow. Just read the damn directions again," you shake your head.
"Why? So you can be a goody two shoes and do all the work? That's what all your friends see, don't they?" he begins to provoke you.
"No," you shake your head. "You don't know what you're talking about."
"I don't?" Sebastian laughs. "I think I know you and your friends a lot better than you think."
"You don't know me," you roll your eyes.
"You're right. But I'm willing to learn," Sebastian smirks.
You don't even bother replying, you just roll your eyes and reach past him to get the next ingredient. "No, that's not next!" he suddenly shouts, causing you to pull back your arm so quickly that you bump your elbow against your cauldron and spill the contents onto the floor. You glare at Sebastian as the rest of the class stares in your direction.
"You ass, what the hell was that?!" you exclaim, reaching over and grabbing his shirt collar.
"I didn't mean—" he starts to defend himself.
Just then, Professor Sharp approaches and clears his throat. You let go of Sebastian and place your hands on your sides. "Apologies, Professor, but-"
"Save it, Weasley," he shakes his head. "I suppose the whole family really is the same. I thought you were different. To the Headmaster's office. Both of you!"
***
"Back again, Sallow?" Headmaster Black shakes his head when he sees the two of you begrudgingly enter his office. "You really need to stop getting yourself sent here."
"What? But I don't always come," Sebastian insists. "Scribner lets me go almost every time!"
"Oh does she now?" Black nods his head as though he had no previous knowledge of this. "Well, she must have been feeling particularly nice then."
You can't help but chuckle quietly to yourself as Sebastian gets reprimanded. You've only ever talked to Headmaster Black a few times over the past few years, and it was only really because of what happened to your parents in Hogsmeade two years back.
"I understand the situation with your sister, Anne, and wanting to help find a cure for her seemingly unmanageable illness, but this is not the way of doing things," Black continues.
"Yes, Sir," Sebastian sighs.
Your smile fades as Sebastian hangs his head down low. You didn't realize just how poorly his sister was doing, and judging by his reaction, you can only assume the worst.
"Now," Headmaster Black begins to address the both of you, "What was the incident today in potions?"
"She—" Sebastian immediately begins, before you cut him off.
"I bumped my elbow against the cauldron and knocked it over, causing Sebastian to get in trouble for my mistake," you explain.
"No, no, no," Sebastian insists. "That's not what-"
"But that is the truth," you insist, looking at the Headmaster, "I'll gladly accept whatever punishment you deem appropriate."
"Very well," he sighs. "20 points from Gryffindor. Now, leave. I have no need for further discussion with the two of you."
"Yes, Sir," the both of you respond in unison.
As you walk out, Sebastian leads the way, not bothering to turn back or wait for you as he heads toward the Slytherin dorms. "Sebastian!" you call out hopelessly, but it isn't until you run in front of him and hold out your hand against his chest that he stops.
"What?" he snaps.
"I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry. I didn't know that's why you were acting the way you were," you sigh. "I didn't realize that-"
"Piss off," he replies coldly, shoving his shoulder against yours as he continues walking.
"Please," you insist, following after him, "Listen to me, will you? I'm trying to apologize, you jerk!"
"Why?" he asks, stopping in his tracks. "Why are you apologizing?"
"Because," you reply, "I didn't realize. I didn't know that was the case. But I know what it's like to lose someone I love."
"Anne isn't dead, idiot," he grumbles before walking away. You decide not to chase after him again.
***
"Hey, Y/N," Garreth taps your shoulder. You and the rest of your Gryffindor friends are sitting in the Great Hall for dinner, but all you can think about is the events earlier in the day. "You're going to the game tomorrow, right?"
"Huh?" you look at your brother and nod. "Yeah, yeah, of course."
"Who are you rooting for?" Leander asks.
You look at Garreth who passes you a smirk, though he doesn't let anyone else see it. He then makes a kissy face, mocking the way you know Leander feels about you.
"Gryffindor," you laugh, hitting your brother in the chest. "I'm a Gryffindor, why would I cheer for Slytherin?"
"Oh, yeah, well, I know that. I just thought maybe there was a certain Gryffindor you were interested in, is all," Leander blushes, avoiding eye contact with the rest of the table.
"I don't think there is," you answer coldly before going back to your trance. You can somewhat hear the laughter that erupts from the rest of the table at Leander's expense, but you don't pay it much care.
"Oh, that reminds me," Garreth then calls to you, "what happened in the headmaster's office with Sallow? He didn't throw you under the bus, did he?"
"No," you shake your head as you glance past him at the Slytherin table on the opposite side. "But I did cost us 20 points."
"Fucking serious?" Garreth grumbles as he turns his head to face the rest of the Slytherin table.
"What is it, Garreth?" you ask, still looking over as well.
"They're all just fucking pricks," he growls.
Sebastian isn't hard to spot at the table. He's rather tall and has a commanding presence, and that's not even counting his enviously soft hair and strong jawline. He sits, unbothered, as he talks to his friend Ominis Gaunt. When Garreth turns back around, you keep your gaze fixated on the handsome Slytherin. You didn't realize it at first, but the way he treats everyone is almost like a defense mechanism. It's like he tries to gain everyone's love because he's afraid he won't get enough somewhere else.
When the two of you catch eyes, he doesn't smile, but instead, his eyes widen. It's like he's surprised, or maybe he's nervous. Maybe he's embarrassed about what happened in the hallways, or the potions classroom. Either way, you avert your eyes before anything can happen.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" Garreth then asks you softly. "Nothing happened to you, right?"
"No," you reply, your voice in a whisper. "I'm fine. I think I just need some air."
You quickly excuse yourself from the table and head outside. It's a bit colder than usual tonight, but the weather is still quite pleasant. The moon is bright, and there are some clouds scattered across the sky. You decide to walk around the school grounds for some time until you finally arrive back at the courtyard.
It's empty, you note. It must be past curfew already. You're not quite sure how time passed so quickly, but it did. However, before you can head inside, you spot someone sitting on the edge of the fountain. It's Sebastian.
Seeing him makes you hesitate. You don't know what to say, really. You wish you could apologize for being weird earlier in the day, but the last time you tried, it didn't go over so well. Instead, you approach him quietly.
As you get closer, you notice that his cheeks are flushed and his eyes are red. He looks sad, almost. Is he crying?
"Are you alright?" you ask him.
"What?" he responds, quickly wiping his eyes as he looks up at you. "Y/N, what're you doing here?"
"Uh, I'm not really sure," you respond softly. "Mind if I sit?"
Sebastian nods and scoots over slightly, allowing you to join him.
"Is everything okay?" you ask, your eyes glancing towards his.
"Yeah," he nods. "Why?"
"I just wanted to make sure," you answer as you reach into your cloak and pull out a small handkerchief. You then gently hold it out to him and allow him to take it from you.
"Thank you," he says, reaching out his hand.
The two of you sit in silence for a while, not really saying much of anything. "Is there anything I can do?" you finally ask him.
"Not unless you know of a cure for Anne," he scoffs.
"Sorry," you shake your head. "But I do know what it's like to see someone you love be in pain. Two years ago my parents were in Hogsmeade when a large troll appeared and caused some trouble. They were caught in the crossfire. There was nothing I could do."
"I'm sorry," Sebastian frowns.
"It's alright," you shake your head. "The point of telling you that wasn't to have you pity me or anything. It was just to show that I know what it's like. You've got someone to worry about, but you should take comfort knowing that she's still here."
"Do you miss them?" Sebastian asks, looking at you.
"Every day," you nod.
"I know I would, too," he sighs. "If Anne were to-"
"We don't have to talk about that," you shake your head.
"Sorry," he sighs.
"No, it's okay. But it's getting late, we should head back inside," you sigh.
"Y/N," Sebastian suddenly reaches out and grabs your wrist. "Thank you. For sitting with me. And listening."
"No problem."
***
The next afternoon you walk down to the common room where the rest of your Gryffindor friends are dressed in their house's colors. Everyone is chanting about how the quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin is the most important game of the season and that they need to beat Slytherin. Once everyone is ready, you head out and make your way to the quidditch pitch.
When the game is about to start, the crowd is abuzz. They're excited for the game to begin. It's the only time the entire school can be unified and on the same team. But before the game begins, Leander Prewett, dressed in his Quidditch uniform, approaches you with a pale face.
"Leader?" you begin, but before you can ask him why he's not getting ready for the game, he bends over to his left and vomits up whatever he had for lunch.
"Shit," you grimace. "Are you okay? Do you need some help?"
"No, I'll be fine," he shakes his head.
"You don't look fine," Cressida, one of the other 7th year girls, remarks.
"Cress, not now," Leander grumbles. "Y/N, please take my broom to Garreth. He said he's been wanting to use it so figured I'd give it to him since I can't play."
"Yeah, sure, but, uh, you really didn't need to walk all the way out here to give my stupid brother your broom. He's got his own," you sigh.
"Well, maybe I also partially wanted to see you," he smiles.
You chuckle softly. "I'll get this to Garreth. You go back to your room and rest."
As Leander nods, you walk to the side of the pitch toward the Gryffindor locker room. However, finding yourself preoccupied with thoughts of the night before, you enter the locker room and come face-to-chest with a tall, muscular Slytherin. Shit, you mutter to yourself, you've walked into the wrong room.
As you take a step back from the situation that you'd quite honestly love to be a part of in any other situation, you realize that the bare chest belongs to none other than Sebastian Sallow who's only dressed from the waist down. Finding yourself embarrassed, you look up and away from him before apologizing.
"Ah, hey there, Y/N," he calls out to you, grin ever present on his face. "Don't worry, it's not the first time a girl's seen me shirtless. You can look."
You roll your eyes. "Not interested."
"Are you sure about that?" he questions, his tone playful. "Oh, that reminds me, I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for what you said to me last night. You definitely did cheer me up and now I'm ready to kick some Gryffindor ass."
After he speaks, the rest of the men in the locker room erupt in an uproarous cheer. A few of them whistle as they crowd Sebastian, but you can still manage to spot the wink he sends your way before getting enveloped by his excited teammates. You roll your eyes as you walk out. Maybe you shouldn't have taken the fall for him in Black's office yesterday.
***
After returning from your delivery to Garreth, you walk up to the stands where the rest of your friends have saved you a seat.
"What's up, Cress?" you ask, taking your seat beside your friend who is folding her arms over her chest.
"Imelda," she grumbles, "is such a narcissistic bitch."
"What'd she do this time?" you sigh.
"She's the reason why Leander can't play!" Cressida exclaims.
"No way, are you serious?" you question.
"Yes! She gave him some weird potion so he'd get sick and not be able to play. We saw her on the way up to the stands laughing as she drank some kind of pink concoction. When I called her out, she just laughed and walked away," Cressida shakes her head. "It's fucking despicable."
"Oh wow," you reply. But before you can say anything more, the whole crowd shouts in an uproarous cheer. The game is beginning.
As the players fly around, hyping up the crowd before they play, Sebastian's broom stops just in front of where your group of friends happen to be standing. "I swear," you grumble, "this guy is fucking everywhere lately."
Cressida chuckles and nudges you in the shoulder before her breath suddenly hitches. Sebastian, his broom still stopped in front of the section where you are, blows a pink-lipped kiss towards you.
"Oh, Merlin's Beard," she gasps, grabbing your arm and holding it tightly. "He's flirting with you."
"Piss off," you mumble, trying to hide your embarrassment, "He's just an ass."
"He's so fucking cool," Leander shakes his head. You look at him in confusion as he gazes at Sebastian like a lovesick puppy.
"Why are you still here?" you ask with a nudge to his side. "Go home, Prewett!"
Finally, the lanky Gryffindor takes your advice and returns to his dorm room to rest. You're thankful. At least you can finally enjoy the game without worrying about him.
The crowd begins to cheer again when the game starts. Both teams fly around and try their best to score as many points as they can. But about halfway into the game, lightning strikes and the balls begin to act up.
"Think they're going to stop it?" Eric Northcott asks the group.
"No way, they can't stop it now!" Hector Jenkins adds.
"But if they don't, someone could get really hurt," Cressida adds.
That's true, you think to yourself. You're worried about Garreth, especially because he's not even on his typical broom.
Soon, your worry only intensifies as one of the Bludgers begin to act erratically. The crowd turns to panic as it rushes past the fifth row.
"Fuck," you breathe out. "It's headed right towards where Sebastian is!"
"Come on, Y/N, let's get out of here!" Cressida calls out to you.
"I'll be right there!" you reply, watching as they rush off before jumping down to the pitch. In all of the pandemonium, Sebastian gets knocked off his broom and nobody else seems to notice. "Sebastian!" you shout, running as fast as you can to his side. When you finally reach him, his body is bruised and bleeding from the fall. "Hey, Sebastian," you call to him, kneeling beside his body. "You need to get up."
"No," he groans, "I can't. Fuck, get the hell out of here, Weasley. It isn't safe."
"Hold on," you tell him, fumbling around in your clothes for your wand. Then, without another word, you Floo both you and Sebastian out of there. For some reason, the place your brain takes you to is the Room of Requirement.
When the two of you arrive, the room shifts into a sort of medical room. You immediately stand up and rush around for whatever bandages you can find. Sebastian manages to make his way over to a cot where he lets out a deep sigh.
"What the fuck was that?" he grumbles.
"I'm not sure," you reply.
"And why the fuck did you take me with you?" he continues.
"You were hurt and needed help," you retort, pulling out a vial of wiggenweld and some bandages.
"So what? Why did you help me? What happened to hating me?" he questions.
"I don't hate you," you answer. "You're just an ass sometimes."
"Oh yeah?"
"Don't make me regret saving your ass," you shake your head as you lift up his head and place a pillow beneath it. "Now drink."
"Are you serious?" he asks.
"Yeah, what's wrong with that?"
"There are a million things wrong with that," he answers.
"Well, you're not really in the best position to be telling me what to do," you scoff as you place the vial in his hand. Sebastian begrudgingly drinks it as you dab the blood off his head with a damp towel. "See, that wasn't so hard, was it?"
"You're so frustrating," he sighs, relaxing against the pillow as you accept the empty bottle back from him.
"Better to be frustrating than an asshole who leaves you bleeding out in the pitch," you smile to yourself. "Now get up, I'm bringing you to Nurse Blainey."
"No!" he quickly insists.
"No?" you look at him.
"Please," he shakes his head, reaching out and taking hold of your arm.
"Why not?"
"She's going to have a fit about it, and I don't want her yelling at me again," he replies. "I've been there too many times this semester. I don't want the lecture. Especially not with you there. Black will certainly have my head."
"Well what do you want me to do then?" you roll your eyes as you fold your arms over your chest.
"I dunno," he shrugs, hissing in pain when he accidentally moves his shoulder, "but maybe we could just stay here."
"Seriously? You're really going to be a baby and make me stay with you here all night? There's no way," you shake your head.
"Why not? Is it 'cause of before? I meant what I said, Y/N, it's not the first time a girl's seen me with my shirt off," he smirks as he attempts to sit up on his own.
You groan to yourself as you sit beside him on the bed. The two of you talk for a while, mostly about your siblings. You don't argue at all, just talk like genuine friends for the first time. Eventually, you begin to feel tired. It's only natural, considering the events of the day.
"Do you want me to walk you back to your room?" he asks softly, slightly waking you up from your half-slumber.
"Hmm?" you grumble, looking over at him.
"Do you want me to walk you back?" he asks again, a small smile growing on his face.
"Mhmm," you nod, "yeah, but, um, could we maybe wait one more minute?"
Sebastian chuckles as he stands up and grabs you by your hand. You feel suddenly a bit more awake as he pulls you to your feet and allows you to stand so close to him this time without saying anything to ruin the moment. "Come on, let's find the way out of here."
The two of you look, you really do, but neither of you can find the exit. "Are you sure there was a door?" Sebastian asks.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I mean, it's supposed to take you wherever you need it," you shrug. "Maybe there was no door because we don't need it. We just need to sleep."
"Does that mean the room is telling us we should sleep together?" Sebastian raises an eyebrow.
"That's not what I said," you grumble.
"Yeah, yeah, sorry," he chuckles. "But, um, are you okay with staying here?"
"I guess so," you sigh. "There aren't any other options, right? But there's only one cot."
"Don't look at me like that," he shakes his head. "I'm not going to make you sleep on the floor. I'm a gentleman."
"Sure you are," you roll your eyes.
"Oh, come on, Weasley, I thought we were over all that animosity," he shakes his head as he takes a step toward you. "And don't worry, that threat from your brother is clearly engraved in my brain. I won't touch you. Promise."
"I wasn't worried about that," you shake your head.
"Oh, really?" he chuckles. "Good. Then we should probably get some sleep."
With a sigh, you turn away from him and reach down to the hem of your shirt. Before you pull it up, you stop and look over your shoulder.
"What is it?" he asks.
"Stop watching," you insist.
"Oh, right," he laughs, shaking his head as he turns the opposite way to presumably do the same. You quickly take the opportunity to strip down and put on the shirt the room offers to you. It's a long shirt, which is fine. But the problem is that the shirt has no shorts to match. You take what you can get, though, and turn back to face Sebastian.
Your face heats up at the sight, and you hate yourself for it. Sebastian has nothing but boxers on, and he's already lying face-up on the cold floor.
"I won't look," he says, gazing up at the ceiling. "You can join me if you'd like."
"I'm good," you scoff, sitting on the edge of the bed and crossing your arms.
"Okay," he nods, his voice soft.
"Sebastian," you begin.
"Yeah?" he replies.
"Thanks," you whisper.
"What was that?" he asks, a hint of teasing in his tone.
"Don't make me repeat myself, Sallow," you shake your head.
"Alright," he responds. "I'm going to sleep. You should, too."
You don't respond, just lay down on the cot and shut your eyes. However, despite how hard you try, you can't fall asleep.
After what feels like an eternity, Sebastian speaks up. "Y/N, are you still up?"
"Uh huh," you answer, your eyes still closed.
"Can't sleep?"
"Not really," you shrug, opening your eyes and looking at him.
"What's on your mind?" he asks.
"I'm not sure," you tell him.
"Want me to keep talking to you until you fall asleep?"
"That might be a good idea, Sallow. You could bore me to sleep," you scoff.
"Oh, really?" he chuckles.
"No," you shake your head. "Talking to you is actually... kinda nice."
"Wow," he laughs, "you know, I didn't think we'd ever get along."
"Me neither," you answer honestly. "But it's not as bad as I thought, I guess."
"Yeah," he agrees. "I like being friends with you, Y/N. And if you need to talk, I'm here for you. And I won't tell anyone. I promise."
"Okay," you nod.
"And, hey, thank you again for saving me out there. That could've been really bad," he sighs.
"I didn't want anything to happen to you, Sallow," you answer softer this time.
After that, silence befalls the two of you again, but in your mind, the silence is so overwhelmingly loud.
You're not sure what it is, but something inside you forces you to grip tightly onto your blanket and sit up from the cot. You take a few steps and kneel down beside where Sebastian is trying to sleep. He looks over at you, puzzled, but waits to hear what you have to say before making any remarks.
You feel so stupid in your mind, but without a single word, you bend down and press a soft kiss against his lips. After the fact, you quickly pull back, your face hot as the fire whisky you drank the last time Gryffindor won a match.
"Weasley, what was-"
"Sebastian," you interject, "do you like me?"
"I don't know," he replies honestly. "You make me feel so many things."
"Do you want to find out?" you ask quietly.
Sebastian answers by grabbing your hips and pulling you onto his lap. His hands slowly run up and down your body before finally settling on your thighs. When he kisses you, it's hungry and desperate, like he's been holding it back all this time.
"Shit," he hisses as you bite his lip, pulling his hair. "You're a fucking tease, Weasley."
"Shut up, Sallow, and touch me," you grumble, kissing his neck before he has a chance to respond.
"Merlin, you're fucking incredible," he breathes out as his fingers slip underneath the hem of your shirt. "Are you sure this is what you want?"
"I wouldn't be on your lap otherwise," you reply, leaning back a little so he can lift the shirt over your head.
"Fuck, look at you," he growls. "So fucking beautiful."
His hands trail up to cup your breasts, allowing the weight of them to fill his palms. His thumb traces around your nipple, and your head falls back as you let out a soft moan.
"Sebastian," you whisper, gripping his shoulder. "Don't stop, please."
He leans forward and begins kissing down your chest, his lips trailing between your breasts before reaching the space between them. He licks a line from the top to the bottom before gently sucking your skin, earning a small whimper from you.
"Sebastian, please," you beg, pushing your hips down against his. You can feel his hard cock against you, and it drives you wild.
"What's the matter? Impatient?" he smirks.
"You're an asshole," you reply, moving your hand down his warm torso and allowing your fingers to linger above the band of his boxers.
"Yeah, well," he replies, his hands resting on your hips as he pushes his erection up against you. "I just can't help that."
You smirk and kiss his lips once more before leaning back and allowing him to hover above you. "Do whatever you want to me, Sebastian," you whisper against his ear. "I'm yours."
"Fucking hell, Y/N," he curses before his hands grab your sides, pulling your hips against his. He grinds his hips into you, and the friction drives you mad.
"More," you moan, your fingers digging into his shoulders. "I need more, please."
"You're such a good girl," he breathes out. As he whispers words of praise in your ears, you look up at the ceiling and notice your reflection in the glass. Your eyes widen and a shiver runs down your spine.
"Sebastian," you gasp, your fingers curling tighter into his hair.
"What is it?" he asks, his hands still on your hips.
"The ceiling," you mumble, turning your head. "It's reflecting everything."
"I know," he chuckles.
You playfully shove him back as you realize that he must've been watching you this whole time, despite saying he wouldn't.
"That's fucking embarrassing," you scoff as he pulls himself closer to you again.
"Sorry," he chuckles. "I couldn't help myself. I did try my best to keep my eyes off, but I couldn't. You're just too gorgeous.
"I like hearing you say that," you admit quietly.
"I'm glad," he replies. "Now, come here."
You lean forward, expecting another kiss, but instead, he rolls you over. You now lay on your stomach, and he kneels behind you. "Do you have any idea how many times I've fantasized about seeing you like this?"
"Really?" you ask, looking over your shoulder at him while his hands slowly caress your ass.
"Absolutely," he nods. "You drive me wild."
As your face heats up, you bury it into the blanket beneath you.
"Don't be embarrassed," he tells you, leaning forward and grabbing a fistful of your hair. "I want to hear everything. No holding back."
"Okay," you breathe out.
Sebastian's hand trails down your spine and stops right above your ass. "Tell me, have you ever done this before?"
"Y-yeah," you reply.
"Who was it?" he asks.
"Doesn't matter," you shake your head.
"Hmm," he hums before bringing his hand down to slap your ass. "That's not what I asked."
"Sebastian-"
"I'll only ask once more, Y/N. Who was it?"
"Eric," you mumble.
"Interesting," he remarks. "So, is that why he always makes sure to sit near you?"
"No," you answer.
"Did he touch you like this?" he then asks, his fingers slipping beneath your panties, between your folds, and gently circling your clit.
"Ahh, Sebastian, fuck," you whine, trying to push your hips back against his hand.
"Answer me, Y/N," he demands.
"Yes," you nod, biting your lip.
"What else did he do to you?" he asks, his fingers tracing over your wet cunt.
"He-" you stop, a whimper escaping your lips when his fingers slowly pump inside you.
"You're so wet," he remarks, his voice low. "I doubt you could get this wet to just anyone, Y/N. How many times did you fuck him?"
"I-I'm not sure," you stutter as his fingers begin to work faster.
"Oh, you little liar," he shakes his head.
"Twice," you blurt out, and his fingers stop their ministrations. "Just twice, okay?"
"And did he ever make you cum?" he then asks, his breath hot against your ear.
"N-no," you shake your head. "Only-only once."
"Well, we'll see if I can do better than that," Sebastian chuckles.
"What?" you gulp, not quite sure if you heard him correctly.
"I said, we'll see if I can make you cum harder than he did."
"Fuck," you groan, closing your eyes.
"What was that, Y/N?"
"Please, Sebastian," you beg, pushing yourself up on your elbows.
"What do you want, baby girl?"
"I want you," you whine, trying to push your hips back against his fingers. "I want you to make me come."
"Good girl," he chuckles, his other hand rubbing your clit as his fingers continue to pump in and out of you.
"Sebastian!"
"Come for me, princess."
Your orgasm rips through you and causes your legs to tremble. "Shit," you curse.
"Are you alright, baby girl?" he asks softly.
"Yeah," you nod, and you can feel the smirk on his lips as he plants a gentle kiss on your shoulder blade.
"We're not done yet," he reminds you, his fingers slowly moving away from your cunt and toward his mouth. "Turn around."
You watch him lick his fingers, tasting you, and it sends a chill down your spine. "You taste incredible, baby girl."
"You're an ass," you grumble.
"Don't you know how to take a compliment, darling?" he chuckles, his eyes locking with yours as he grabs your ankles. He pulls them apart and kneels between them, his face hovering inches away from your dripping pussy.
"Sebastian," you whisper.
Sebastian hums in response as he sticks out his tongue and drags it up and down your slit. You whimper softly and try to squeeze your thighs shut, but Sebastian grabs them and forces them open.
"Don't be embarrassed, darling," he coos.
"Shit," you shake your head, grabbing the sheets beneath you and fisting them into your hands.
"You're so fucking hot," Sebastian groans, his mouth working fast against your cunt.
"Fucking hell, Sebastian," you cry out.
"What's wrong, baby girl?"
"I'm so sensitive," you shake your head, your hips squirming against his face. "You're making me crazy."
"Good," he chuckles, his hands sliding underneath your thighs and lifting your legs over his shoulders.
The room begins to spin around you, and your mind is lost in a fog. Everything feels like it's happening so fast. The feeling of his mouth and fingers is enough to drive you wild, but his tongue is absolutely insane.
"Fuck!" you scream, arching your back as he slips two fingers inside you.
"You like that?"
"Yes," you gasp, your nails clawing into his skin.
"You want more?"
"Yes, yes, fuck, yes," you whimper, tears forming in your eyes.
"Tell me, baby girl," he smirks, his fingers moving faster, his tongue moving slower, "who makes you feel this way?"
"You," you answer, biting your lip.
"Louder, baby girl. Tell me who makes you feel this way."
"You do!" you yell.
"Again."
"You, Sebastian," you nod, tears streaming down your face. "Only you. You're the only one that can make me feel this way. Please, Sebastian, please."
"Please what, Y/N?"
"Fuck, please don't stop," you cry out.
Sebastian, finally satisfied with your answer, moves his tongue and fingers faster. Your eyes roll back and you can barely breathe. You feel as if you're drowning, and the only thing keeping you afloat is the feeling of his hands on your body.
With a scream, your whole body spasms, and your muscles tighten. Sebastian's fingers slow down and eventually stop, but his tongue continues. He takes his time licking you clean before pulling away. "Mmm, you're so fucking delicious," he smirks.
"Fuck, I hate you," you groan.
"No, you don't," he smiles.
"Shut up," you grumble as the two of you shift your positions.
The next thing you know, Sebastian's standing above you while you're on your knees, holding your hair and fucking your head. You close your eyes and take all of him, moaning against his length.
"Fucking hell, Y/N, the things you do to me," he hisses, his grip on your hair tightening.
You moan against him and swallow him down, gagging a little as his tip hits the back of your throat.
"Shit," he gasps.
Your head bobs up and down his shaft, and his cock throbs in your mouth.
"Fuck," he grunts, "you're going to make me come."
You pull off him and lick the tip of his cock.
"Fuck, such a little tease," he growls, grabbing your chin and forcing you to look up at him. "Don't think that just because we're doing this, I'm going to be nice to you."
"I don't expect you to be nice to me," you reply, smirking as his eyes widen. "But you're not the only one who can tease."
You take his cock into your mouth again, and his hands move to the back of your head, holding you in place. His hips thrust forward and back, fucking your throat.
"God, you're a little slut," he groans, his cock twitching in your mouth.
"Mhmm," you nod, pulling him deeper down your throat.
"Fuck," he hisses.
He pulls his cock out and strokes it quickly, and his come shoots out onto your face. It covers your cheeks and your nose. You make no attempt to open your mouth until he's completely done.
"Damn, Y/N, I didn't know you liked getting dirty," he chuckles. "Go ahead, you can taste it."
You stick out your tongue and lick the tip of his cock. He groans as you clean his shaft.
"Fuck, I could watch you do that all day," he shakes his head.
Once you're finished with him, you pull back and gaze up at his half-lidded eyes.
"Shit, baby girl," he smirks, kneeling down and cupping your face. He leans forward and glides his middle finger across the mess on your face before telling you to open your mouth. Without hesitation, you part your lips, and he pushes his finger in. You suck it, cleaning off the bitter fluid, and his cock twitches as he watches.
"You're amazing," he tells you, kissing your cheek. "Come here."
He guides you to your feet and leads you to the edge of the bed. He sits down and pulls you onto his lap.
"So, what happens now?" he asks.
"I'm not sure," you shrug.
"Well," he begins, "I suppose we should go to bed. It's late, and tomorrow is a new day."
"That's true," you nod. "But you haven't fucked me yet."
"Do you want me to?" he asks, his hands sliding up your thighs and squeezing your ass.
"Yes," you reply, biting your lip.
"Good," he smiles, "because I'm not done with you, baby girl."
The two of you laugh as Sebastian rolls you over. You lay on your back, your head resting on the pillow, and Sebastian hovers above you.
"Are you ready?" he asks, stroking himself above you.
"Idiot, get a condom," you smirk as you push him off of you. "I thought you said I was the impatient one."
"Oh, right," he chuckles, grabbing his wand and conjuring up a condom.
"Hurry up, Sallow," you tease.
"Merlin, you're a bossy one," he groans.
"Yeah, yeah, just hurry," you roll your eyes.
Sebastian slips the condom on and leans forward, placing a soft kiss against your lips.
"Are you ready, baby girl?" he asks, his lips lingering near yours.
"Mhm," you nod, biting your lip.
Sebastian reaches between the two of you and positions his cock at your entrance.
"You're so fucking beautiful," he breathes out, kissing your neck and slowly sliding inside of you.
"Ahh," you whimper.
"Fuck, so tight," he groans, pushing further inside. "You're so perfect."
"Sebastian," you gasp as his cock fills you. "Slowly..."
"Don't worry, darling, I've got you," he smiles, leaning down and capturing your lips in a deep kiss.
His hips move slowly at first, his cock stretching and filling you with every thrust. But as time passes, he begins to move faster.
"More," you pant, "I need more."
"You like that?"
"Fuck, Sebastian, fuck me harder," you beg.
"God, Y/N, the way you say my name," he growls, slamming into you. "It drives me crazy."
Sebastian reaches his right hand up to yours and grips tightly. You look up at him with wide eyes as his thumb strokes the back of your hand.
"Do you feel that?" he asks.
"Yes," you nod.
"I'm so close, baby girl. Fuck, I'm so close."
Your eyes begin to water as you glance down between your two bodies. He's so deep inside you, and it feels amazing.
"Come for me, Sebastian," you whimper, biting your lip and clenching around him.
"Shit, Y/N, I can't believe I waited seven years for this," he pants. "Merlin, and I'd do it again, too, just to get the chance to see you like this. To feel you."
His grip on your hand tightens as he pushes himself as deep inside of you as possible. Your orgasm rips through your body, causing you to cry out.
"That's it, darling," he whispers. "I'm right there. Come for me."
Sebastian thrusts one more time, and you feel his cock pulse inside of you as he comes.
"Fuck," he groans, collapsing beside you. "That's so worth getting hit with Weasley's crucio curse."
"Can you not talk about my brother right now?" you smile as you roll to your side to face him.
"Right," he nods, a chuckle escaping his lips. "Sorry."
"It's okay," you tell him, tracing the lines of his abs.
"That was fun," he tells you. "I do hope that wasn't a one-time thing."
"Yeah," you agree.
"Good," he smiles, placing a kiss against your forehead.
The two of you spend the night talking, and you end up falling asleep in each other's arms. You hate to admit it, but you do enjoy spending time with him... And it's not until the next day that you feel the repercussions of sleeping with a Slytherin.
***
The following morning, you appraoch the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall to a bunch of worried faces.
"Where the hell have you been?" Garreth asks as you sit beside down beside him like nothing out of the ordinary happened the night befoer.
"I don't know what you're talking about," you scoff, reaching for a plate of roasted potatoes in front of you.
"You didn't come back to the room last night," Cressida remarks. "Where'd you sleep last night?"
"Uh," you mutter as you try to avoid the conversation by drinking a large cup of orange juice.
"Y/N," Garreth begins, "where did you sleep last night?"
"Well," you begin, setting your glass down and looking over at him, "I slept somewhere else."
Leander nearly chokes on his apple juice as he realizes the meaning of your words.
"I told you not to do anything stupid!" Garreth shouts.
"And I didn't," you shrug.
"You're unbelievable," he groans, shaking his head.
"Who was it?" Cressida asks you curiously. "Was it Northcott?"
"Couldn't've been him," Leander shakes his head. "He was with us."
"Well if nobody was missing from the Gryffindor dorms then that means..." Cressida trails off. "Y/N! You didn't!"
"Wait, what're you implying?" Garreth intervenes. But before anyone can say anything else, the Slytherin quidditch team approaches where you are all seated.
"Hey there," Imelda smirks at your brother. "How's everyone's breakfast? I hope you're enjoying it since it's the last one you'll be eating."
"What's that supposed to mean, Reyes?" Garreth scoffs, looking up at the girl.
"Nothing," she replies, her smile growing. "But, uh, Sallow has something he wants to give back to your sister."
You've never seen Garreth's head whip around so fast in your life when he realizes what Imelda is implying. When he notices the sorry look on your face he stands up and glares across the table at Sebastian. "YOU DIDN'T!"
"Um, Garreth, let's just go outside and-" you try to reason with him as you grab his hand
"No!" he replies, pulling away from your reach.
"Garreth, please," you beg.
"Not a chance in hell," he scoffs. "I'll fucking kill him, Y/N!"
"I didn't realize it was going to be like this," Sebastian shrugs, his hands tucked into his pockets.
"What did you think was going to happen?"
"I didn't really think about it, Weasley," he answers with a shrug.
"Yeah, that sounds like you," Garreth sneers.
"Listen, man, it's not what it looks like," Sebastian begins, his hands coming up in front of him as if to defend himself for Garreth's inevitable attack. "What I mean to say is, I thought Y/N would have already told you. I, uh, actually do like her."
"You can't be serious, Sallow," Leander speaks up, a frown etched across his face. "There's no way. You're a snake. A vile, evil, despicable snake, and Y/N doesn't belong with a Slytherin."
You, Sebastian, and Garreth all roll your eyes at Leander's comment. "Stay out of this," Garreth grumbles.
"No," Leander insists, stepping closer to Sebastian. "This isn't right. This isn't fair."
"Why not?" you question, turning to him.
"Because... because it just isn't," Leander replies. "He's a Slytherin, and you're a Gryffindor, Y/N."
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"Everything," he shakes his head. "You're our friend. Not his. I won't lose you to-"
Before Leander can say anything more idiotic, Sebastian waves his wand and effectively shuts Leander up with a silencing charm.
"I know what you said, Weasley, and I can understand why you wouldn't want me being with Y/N, but the fact is, she does like me," Sebastian shrugs.
"And why should I trust you?" Garreth sneers.
"Honestly," Sebastian begins, taking a deep breath, "I have no idea, and if I were you, I probably wouldn't. But ask her for yourself."
When Garreth turns to you, your whole body tenses up. How much more embarrasing could this get? You're attracting attention from nearly the whole room and the last thing you want is to be the center of the school's gossip.
"Is he telling the truth, Y/N?"
"Yeah," you sigh, your gaze landing on the ground. "He is. As much as I'd rather not admit it."
"Why?" Garreth asks.
"Because... because..." you shake your head.
Garreth sighs. "Fine, Y/N, if being with a Slytherin obsessed with dark arts and practicing the Unforgivables is what makes you happy, then I can't stop you. Just, promise me that I won't ever have to see the two of you... together."
"Gross," you grumble.
"I don't practice the Unforgivables..." Sebastian says while scratching the back of his neck, as if he's trying to convince himself.
"Yeah whatever," Garreth sighs as he sits back down. "Are you sitting with us or not?"
Sebastian's smirk widens as he sits down across from the two of you. The look on Cressida's face is priceless as she scoots over to make room for him.
"Oh, I'm definitely sitting."

(SLIGHT 18+!!)
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
YOUR POV
In a space of a heartbeat, I realize that there's no telling when or if I'll see any of them ever again.
Whoever I pursue may be the last person I get to speak to tonight. I think carefully before picking Leander.
For the second time today, I find myself squeezing through the crowd in order to reach Leander. As soon as he sees me, his easy smile fades. "Are you alright, (NAME)?" Im not used to someone looking at me with such concern. "I've been through worse today.." I trail off. "From the sound of it, you've had quite the day. How're you holding up?" He asks genuinely. "Well, I'm still alive,,, that counts as something, right?" He chuckles quietly. "Eridia's not an easy place to live in, but you'll get used to it eventually." "Let's hope so." Leander signals the bartender. "I'm parched. Want anything?" He asks you. "Just water, please." "Make that two." Leander orders the bartender. After a few conversations, Leander and I go to a more secluded place to talk. As I wonder about what else to talk about, Leander says "-And if you ever need a taste of normalcy, I'm always here for you." He blushes whilst staring elsewhere. "Even now?" Leander swallows. The table under his elbow groans as he leans closer.
The booth is so narrow that he completely blocks my view of the bar counter. It's almost as though he and I are completely alone. "If thats what you want." He whispers due to the tiny space between Leander and me. "How did it make you feel?" He questions. "It was.. warm? exciting? I don't know how to explain it." Slowly, he starts unwinding the bandages on my arms whilst looking at me. I cast a nervous glace around the bar. But as far as I can see, no one is paying us any attention. Leander squeezes my hand gently, cause my attention to focus on him. "No one will notice." He whispers in an almost seductive manner. He pulls back, using his teeth to tug off his gloves. Our eyes meet, and Leander offers his hand again. "There you go, hand holding on demand." He smiles. A lump forms in my throat.
I bblurt out the first request that comes to mind. "Can I touch your face?" He looks surprised, but agrees. I lean over the table, hesitating before I reach his face. When my fingers graze his jaw, Leander laughs softly. "That tickles, it's fine, you can just.." Leander trails off as we make eye contact. I unknowingly place my fingers between Leander's chin. Leander leans closer, our lips almost connecting.
"We should take this elsewhere." He smirks before pulling me up to my temporary room. As soon as we enter in, Leander locks the door and grabs my chin between his fingers. "(Name).." He whispers before he closes the space between our lips. I kiss back, wrapping my arms around Leander. "mghn-.." Leander moans into my mouth. We pull away before reconnecting our lips again. Leander shoves his tongue into my mouth, both of us moaning. "(Name)..." He mumbles into my mouth. I moan. He pulls away, making me whine. He chuckles. "Needy, are you now?" He says in a seductive, raspy voice. Fuck was it hot. "Leandeeerrr....~" Leander kisses my lips, trailing down to my neck, eventually biting softly "A-Aah~!" I squeal. It's gonna be a long night.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
And that concludes the first part of this oneshot! This was only the beginning.
Anyways, if you like this oneshot, pls do like it or anything else!

Hogwarts Legacy Masterlist
Link to blurb masterlist for Sebastian, Ominis, and Garreth
Sebastian Sallow
Snow, Scarves, and Schemes - Oneshot. Y/N is sick of Leander Prewett trying to court her. Luckily, she has a best friend named Sebastian Sallow who would love to help put an end to it. They devise a plan to pretend to court up until the Yule Ball. Should be simple, right? If only. Or, the classic friends to lovers, idiots in love, fake dating scenario. Warnings: None.
What Could Have Been - Twoshot. She had been in love with Sebastian Sallow for some time. And she was afraid of having something to lose. After all, she knew all too well that good things always came to an end.Now it was their last night together. What were they willing to lose? Warnings: Heavy Angst.
What We Are Now - Twoshot. Sebastian Sallow went to America for a year in hopes to find a cure for Anne. As he returns home, he faces the possibility of seeing the girl he loves again. Part two to “What Could Have Been,” but could also be read alone. Warnings: Some Angst.
Losing Patience - Oneshot. Ominis is sick of seeing his best friends pine for each other, so he takes it upon himself to force them to get together. Warnings: None.
A Little Reminder - Oneshot. After a big fight, Sebastian and her haven’t talked for almost a week. Rumors have started to go around that they’ve broken up. Warnings: Possessive!Sebastian.
I’m Right Here - Oneshot. Just before Sebastian killed his uncle, she was injuried. Now Sebastian has to deal with the guilt of not only the life he took, but the life he almost couldn't save. Warnings: Murder, Guilt, Injury, Depression.
Ominis Gaunt
you are a wildflower garden growing in my head - When she learns that Ominis Gaunt is well versed in floriography, she insists on him giving her lessons to learn the language of flowers. Thankfully, he ins't too hard to convince. Warnings: None.
Right Direction - Oneshot. After defeating Ranrok, MC is riddled with guilt over the pain they caused and the lives sacrificed to save them. They've cut themselves off and refused to heal their injuries. But perhaps Ominis was the one person who could understand the pain they've gone through. Warnings: Minor Injuries. Self Destructive Behaviors. Survivor’s Guilt.
One Day At A Time - Oneshot. Sequel to Right Direction. Mc has been improving, but still has bad days. They find comfort in going to Ominis for help. Warnings: Self Destructive Behaviors/Tendencies. Feelings of Guilt. Brief Mentions of Minor Injuries.
Flustered - Blurb. After living with Anne for the summer, MC has heard a lot of stories about her, Sebastian, and Ominis. When Ominis and Sebastian come to reconnect with Anne, MC is eager to ask Ominis about some of the stories she's heard. Warnings: None.
Only In Dreams - Oneshot. She spent her days in love with him, and her nights wishing they were together. But she knew it would never be---Ominis Gaunt had sworn off love for the sake of ending his family's legacy. She knew she wouldn't be an exception to that. Warnings: Angst (with a happy ending).
You Were The First - Oneshot. Ominis Gaunt has never known affection. He has never known how it felt to love---to be loved. She came and changed all of it. Or, Ominis gets love because by god does he deserve it. Warnings: Implied/Referenced child absuse.
Safety - Series. Ongoing. Y/N L/N had always despised Ominis Gaunt. He was everything she hated about her life. As the only daughter to a wealthy pure-blood family, she knew it was inevitable that she would someday find herself in an arranged marriage. But why did it have to be him? Warnings: See individual chapters.
--> Dread | Hatred | Truce | Fear | Anger | Sorrow | Gratitude | Worry | Absence
Prove You Wrong - Oneshot. After being stood up on a date, Ominis decides to prove MC wrong when she feels like no one will ever love her. Warnings: Being stood up, feelings of inadequacy.
A Black Walnut Wand - Oneshot. A wand made of Black Walnut can be a finicky thing---if the wielder isn't truthful, whether with themselves or with others, it's power diminishes. So it's just absolutely perfect when her wand starts acting up right before N.E.W.T.S., isn't it? Warnings: None.
Sebastian Sallow x MC x Ominis Gaunt (Platonic)
All I Need - When MC was injuried, she knew her two best friends would get after her for it. But they’ll always be there for her. Warnings: Injury.
Sebastian Sallow x Ominis Gaunt
Don’t Go Where I Can’t Follow - Oneshot. Sebastian can't give up. Not even after he's killed his Uncle. He's determined to save Anne, and won't take no for an answer. Or, a brief exploration into the broken(?) friendship between Sebastian and Ominis after everything happens. Can be read platonic or romantic. Warnings: ANGST

["… the strangest part, then, is his unflappability; what brings a patient to him always remaining beyond his judgement or concern. The choice to tell is theirs, and it's a rare thing for him to press about it. The assumed rationale by the crew is this: ‘He values privacy because he holds so tightly to his own.’
The issue is that it’s impossible to say why. Because as good of a listener as Leander Carmine can be, it’s notoriously unlikely for him to answer…”]

A Court Of Lies Pt. 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Sebastian Sallow x f!MC
Rating: T+
Word Count: 1.1k
Warnings: none. it's a fluffy fake dating jealous prankster Sebastian scenario with teensy suggestive dialogue
Summary:
"That is the thing, you see..." You took a deep breath to steady yourself. "I kind of panicked and said that... That I was already going with you."
"Oh! Well. I'm perfectly fine with this revelation," Sebastian said, a devious smirk forming across his lips.
---
Fluffy teensy suggestive reader insert oneshot inspired by an audio story by TikTok user @/sebastianandmc. The conversation and storyline credits go to that user and I was given permission to turn their story "Fake Courting" into a full fledged fic. Also game dialogue is taken.

Frankly, you felt ridiculous in your new outfit, but Sebastian insisted that it was the perfect look. When you told Poppy about the whole ordeal, she squealed excitedly and wasted no time in helping you get ready for the weekend. Poppy pulled your hair in an intricate plait that she said made you look like "a Fwooper in the early summer." Whatever that meant.
You met Sebastian at the front of Hogwarts, where he was leaning against the half wall outside the Northern exit. Poppy had pulled your corset so tight that you could barely breathe, and any breath you had left was taken by how good Sebastian looked while he was simply waiting for you. He had abandoned his usual robes, instead choosing to showcase his new green plaid jumper that he purchased at Gladrags yesterday after you told him how well it fit him and a brown rugged overcoat. Sebastian's eyes perked up when we took notice of you and made a comment about how absolutely floored Leander will be when he sees the two of you together. Sebastian, in typical gentlemanly manner, offered his arm to you while you both made the trek to the fall festival.
"I've never been to a festival this grand before. It's amazing!" You beamed, not sure where to look first. Hogsmeade had transformed into a different village that was decorated beautifully for Halloween.
"Then I am honored to be your guide this evening," Sebastian bowed jokingly, offering you his hand like a prince. "Oh... and as one friend to another, of course, you look splendid. Truly."
You kissed his hand to continue the bit and made a comment about how he obviously had to think you look splendid, he chose the ensemble.
"You believe so? Thank you, Sebastian. Poppy actually styled my hair how her Gran taught her," You played with the end of your braid nervously. Sebastian started to turn pink.
"O-of course."
"Is something the matter? Your face is a little red. Was it those Pepper Imps we ate?" You asked, brushing a hand towards Sebastian's cheek to feel if there was any heat. He waved your hand off with a small laugh.
"Must be... I'm sure that explains it. Ahem. Oh, wonderful. Here comes the red headed twig himself," Sebastian's eyes trained on Leander making his way towards you two. Sebastian dropped your hand to snake an arm around your waist, pulling you in so quickly that you let out a little yelp.
"Dare I even try to tell you to behave, Sebastian?"
"No use really," Sebastian said devilishly, plastering a satisfied smirk on his face.
"So it really is true," Leander said ever-so bitterly. "I honestly thought you might have made it up as an excuse. However, who would willingly expose that they were courting him."
"Oh, go fall into an Inferni pit, Leander. Jealousy doesn't suit you," Sebastian said coolly, running his hands up and down your waist. You felt heartbeat pick up because Sebastian's hands were covered by your robes. He was doing this for his own pleasure.
"Well, she doesn't suit you, Sebastian," Leander shot back. Sebastian's jaw clenched and his hand around your waist only tightened.
"Boys, boys," You said helplessly, trying to diffuse the situation. Leander simply scoffed.
"I will bow out respectfully," Leander crossed his arms. He turned so that he was only facing you. "But, if you get bored, I'll still be here. You've got a fine lady there, Sallow. Don't screw it up."
"Oh, I know that," Sebastian said matter-of-factly, making Leander mutter a string of curses under his breath.
"I'll take my leave. Enjoy the festival," Leander looked defeated, which only inflated Sebastian's ego.
"You didn't use Crucio on him. I guess that should make me feel relieved," You exhaled, forgetting that you were holding your breath the entire time.
"Well, it did cross my mind," Sebastian whispered, removing his hand from your waist so that he could spin you around to face him.
"I'll take that as a joke," You snorted. "Seems like you accomplished your mission of pissing him off."
"Hmm, I think I did In celebration, how about I take you to go bobbing for apples?" Sebastian said with that same devilish look from earlier.
"Are you sure? I'm fierce competition you know, Sallow," You pursed your lips.
"Is that so? If you thought bobbing for apples was already hard, try it when they're charmed," Sebastian challenged, then his eyes darkened. "What makes you so talented at bobbing with your hands behind your back?"
You gasped at his comment and slapped him on his chest, making a comment about Sebastian's dirty mind. He laughed it off and took your hand, leading you to one of the enchanted barrels. However, instead of placing the two of you in the queue for apple bobbing, Sebastian pulled you into Honeydukes, which was abandoned due to the festival.
"Sebastian-" You started, but Sebastian cut you off by pressing you the wall next to some chortling Chocolate Frogs. He leaned in close to you, making you feel tiny compared to him.
"You're driving me mad," He whispered, so close that you could clearly smell an alcoholic tinge from his aftershave. He wrapped one arm around your waist, using his free hand to cup your burning face.
"Seb... We- we can drop the act. I think Leander is proficiently angry," You said, lowering your voice to match his. This made Sebastian laugh and you could feel the vibrations from his chest.
"What if I don't want to?" Sebastian nosed along your hair. He pulled back to see your stunned and stammering expression. You were unable to form any words, so he spoke for you. "Every joke has an air of truth to it."
"What?" You managed to squeak out. Sebastian bit his lip, looking amused.
"Really, you're that oblivious?" Sebastian asked, dropping his hand from your face.
"I don't understand..." Your voice trailed off and Sebastian's smirk returned to his face.
"From that first day you beat me in the dueling match to our first excursion to Hogsmeade. Merlin. You've had me charmed. I couldn't believe it when Professor Weasley said you chose me to show you around the grounds," Sebastian continued. He brushed one of your braids off your shoulder. "And now this whole 'fake courting' scheme. Are you trying to kill me?"
You really couldn't believe it. All the cat and mouse you two were playing was just Sebastian concealing his feelings for you. You felt satisfied in your scheme and how wonderfully it worked out to your advantage. Anything that you wanted to communicate to Sebastian was easier done that said and you threw your arms around his neck to pull him in for a kiss.
"Merlin, you are trying to kill me," Sebastian mumbled against your lips.
"Sebastian, please just shut up and kiss me," You said desperately, pulling him back in for another taste.

PLEASE READ: idk if I was just half asleep or if I hit some sort of character limit, a chunk of the story is missing and it won’t let me add it. Please read the version I reblogged with the rest of the story. Sorry 😩
So @hogwartslegacyreactions had a hilarious idea about various characters seeing their future with MC in a crystal ball. I loved the idea and (with permission) wrote a oneshot about Leander Prewett (he’s the least likeable to me)
It’s late, I’m tired, I didn’t proof read, I’m gonna hope it’s fine
—————————————————————————-
Leander Prewett sat in a worn, yet comfortable arm chair. He was holding a small red haired girl, and another ran up and crawled into his lap, shoving a storybook into his hands.
Two hands rested on his shoulders, then someone kissed the top of his head. He looked up and saw…
“ELLE?!”
“You don’t have to shout, I’m sitting across from you!” The grumpy slytherin girl glared.
Leander stared at her in shock. With white blonde hair and cold blue eyes, she had the look (and disposition) of an ice Queen.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer. Are you done yet?”
“Uh. I don’t think that was right, let me try again.” He focused on the crystal ball once more.
He saw himself standing at an altar, a tear running down his cheek as he looked at his bride approaching. And that bride was Elle.
“I think it’s broken.” Leander shoved the ball towards her.
“It can’t be broken, dumbass! Let me try.” He watched her as she focused on the crystal ball, curious to see if she got a similar vision. Based on the way her eyebrows shot up and her jaw dropped open, he was guessing she did.
Elle shoved the ball back towards him. “Perhaps you’re right, this one isn’t working properly.”
“You saw it too, didn’t you?” He asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!” She barked.
“I think you do.”
“No! Just write something down so we can turn our assignment in.”
“Elle-“
“Divination is stupid anyway.” She snatched the paper from his hands and gave it to Professor Onai before storming out of the classroom.
Leander looked up and saw Professor Onai giving him a knowing smile. His cheeks turned pink and he quickly gathered his belongings and headed out the door.
“You’re shitting me!” Garreth gasped.
“No, I’m not. I’m guessing she saw the same thing the way she reacted.”
“Is that why she’s looking at you now?”
Leander looked towards the Slytherin table. “Yes, but I don’t think it’s an expression of love, more like hatred and violence.”
“Maybe you should try to get to know her! Imelda and I are very happy. Opposites attract, and all that.”
“I don’t think she’d agree to that, I’m pretty sure she hates my guts.”
“Then perhaps you should pick on Sallow and Gaunt less.”
“I don’t know. I don’t see us ever tolerating each other.”
“I guess we‘ll find out eventually!”
“No fucking way!” Sebastian gasped.
“And I know that smug bastard saw it too. He was trying to get me to admit it.”
“Personally, I don’t hold much stock in divination and crystal balls.” Ominis said, eating a sandwich.
“Maybe if you could see one you’d feel differently.” Sebastian smirked.
“Asshole.” Ominis grumbled.
“So what are you going to do about it?”
“What do you mean?” Elle frowned.
“I mean are you going to try to get to know him, or spend time with him?”
“Ew.” Elle wrinkled her nose.
“Come on, it could be worse! You could’ve married Ominis!”
“I don’t know why I put up with your abuse.” He glared.
“Because you loooove me.” Sebastian snickered.
“I’d rather marry Ominis. You know what? Ominis, will you marry me? Change the course of the future?” Elle clasped his hand and batted her eyelashes.
“As flattered as I am to be your plan B, I’ll have to pass.”
“What?! You’d be lucky to marry me.” Elle playfully shoved him.
“I mean no offense, I just don’t intend to marry anyone and drag them into the fuckery that is the Gaunt family.”
“You know what? I’ll take the bullet. I’ll marry you, Elle.” Sebastian grinned.
“I think I’d rather marry Prewett.”
“Hey!”
Elle was studying in the library when a shadow covered her book.
“Mind if I join you?” Leander asked.
“Yes.”
Prewett sat down and she huffed. “That wasn’t an invitation to sit down!”
“I think we need to talk about what we saw.”
“And I think you should fuck off.”
“Could you try being less aggressive for once?”
Elle loudly shut her book, causing nearby students to jump. “What do you want from me?”
“I told you, I want to talk about it.”
“About what, exactly?” She crossed her arms and glared.
“About our marriage and our children!” Prewett said a bit too loudly, making everyone turn and look at him.
“Would you shut up about that?! Divination Is stupid.”
“But we both saw the same thing! That has to mean something!”
“You want to talk about it? Fine, we’ll talk about it. We’ll talk about our adorable red-headed children and our cottage by the ocean and our dog!”
“Oh, I’d like a cottage by the ocean, that sounds lovely.”
“Prewett!”
“Look, I’m just saying we both saw it, and it wouldn’t hurt us to try to be friendly to one another. Well, perhaps friendly is pushing it. I’d take anything besides hatred at this point.”
“Oh my god can we just drop it?! Because sitting here with you having this conversation is not winning you any points with me.”
“Fine, be difficult. At least I’ve made an effort!” Prewett got up and left in a huff. Thirty seconds passed before Garreth took his place,
“Don’t waste your time, Garreth.” She said without looking up.
“Hello to you too! You have no idea why I sat down. Maybe I have questions about our homework for muggle studies, or I need ideas for a date with Imelda, or perhaps I just enjoy your sunshiney company!”
“Is it any of those things?” Elle smirked at him.
“No, but I wanted to seem mysterious.”
“I have no desire to spend time with Prewett.”
“He’s not a bad guy!”
“Then why did he threaten to shove Ominis’ head in a toilet?!”
“To be fair, Ominis started it.”
“He hates Slytherins. I am one, in case you haven’t noticed.”
“Look, Elle, Prewett’s really rattled about what he saw. He’s trying to understand it and wants to at least get to know you a bit.”
“Yes, but I don’t!” Elle said, full of frustration.
“Don’t make me do it.” Garreth said with a sly smile.
“Do what?”
“Oh you know EXACTLY what I’m referring to.”
“No, I don’t.”
“Fine, allow me to remind you. I took the fall for you in potions class when you nearly blew up half the classroom. I’m officially cashing in my favor.”
“Come on, anything else! I’ll let you copy my homework!”
“Nope. One date with Prewett.”
“Absolutely not! You didn’t say anything about a date!”
“May I remind you that I got detention for a month?”
“Ugh!” Elle put her head down on the desk.
“He’ll pick you up at seven! Wear something nice!” Garreth grinned at her as he left.
“She agreed?!” Prewett was dumbfounded.
“Sort of.”
“What does that mean, sort of?”
“She owed me a big favor and I cashed in.”
“I don’t know, Garreth. It’s pointless if she doesn’t really want to be there.”
“Mate, if you’re waiting for a day where she’s going to willingly agree, it’s not happening. Go on the date.”
“Fine.”
“Um, you’re welcome, by the way! I told her you’ll pick her up at 7, wear something nice!”
“There!” Imelda put the last pin in her hair.
“Thank you, Imelda.”
“Just so you know, I’m on your side with this. Prewett can be an ass.”
“Yes, well your boyfriend cashed in on the favor I owed him for this so I’m going to try to get through it with an open mind.”
“Alright, here are the shoes. Try not to break your neck.”
She took the nude colored spikey heeled shoes from Imelda with a raised eyebrow.”Are these shoes, or a weapon?”
“Garreth is a lot taller than me. Prewett is tall too, so they’ll give you a boost.”
“Are you sure about this dress?” Elle looked at herself in the mirror self-consciously. The dress was royal blue with a flared skater skirt, much shorter than anything she owned.
“Yes, you look stunning!”
“Thanks for your help, Mel.”
“Of course! Let me text Garreth and see if Prewett is here yet.”
“Holy shit.” Sebastian whispered to Ominis as they approached the Slytherin common room.
“What?”
“It’s Prewett! He’s here with a bouquet of roses! Poor sod.”
“Oh dear. I don’t see this ending well. Perhaps we should just go to the undercroft.”
“And miss this, are you kidding?!” Sebastian gaped. “I just wish I had popcorn.”
“He’s here. Are you ready?” Imelda asked Elle.
“I suppose.” She and Imelda went downstairs and she opened the common room door. She was surprised to find Prewett standing there with a bouquet of roses. “Oh fuck.”
“I’m sorry?” Prewett raised his eyebrows.
“Sorry, I just…wasn’t expecting…thank you, they’re lovely.” She blushed a deep shade of crimson and took the flowers.
“I’ll put them in some water in our room.” Imelda said with a grin.
“Thanks, Mel.”
“Are you ready?” Prewett asked, looking as nervous as she felt.
“Sure, I guess.”
“Have her back by midnight!” Imelda said gleefully before slamming the door.
“Um, you look lovely, Elle.” Leander said quietly.
“You don’t have to say that.” She blushed.
“Why? I meant it. You look very nice.”
“Oh! Um, thanks.” She felt even more nervous.
“Shall we?” He extended his elbow and she looked at him like he was crazy. She hesitantly took it, surprised at the firm muscles in his arms.
“So where are we going?” Elle asked as they began walking.
“I thought maybe we could grab some dinner, there are a couple of nice restaurants in Hogsmeade.”
“Alright.” Why was she so nervous?
Prewett froze and exhaled before turning to face her. “Look, I’m just going to come out and say it, I’m super nervous since we’ve never really spent any time together and you hate me and Garreth sort of made you come.”
“I don’t hate you.” She replied.
“Really?”
“I dislike you, but I wouldn’t call it hate.” She grinned at him.
“I suppose that’s better than hatred.” He smiled in return.
“And technically I could’ve told Garreth no. He couldn’t force me to do it. Also, there are much worse things for him to have cashed his favor in on.”
“What exactly did he do to collect such a big favor from you?”
“Oh, I nearly blew up the potions classroom. I wasn’t paying attention and grabbed the wrong ingredient. He took the fall for me.”
“Wow, he was already in enough trouble with professor Sharp.”
“I know, but he leaned over and whispered ‘I’ve got this, I won’t get in nearly as much trouble as you.”
“I’m pretty sure Garreth could blow up the school and get away with it.”
They stopped as they saw Ominis and Sebastian. “Oh, hi guys.” Elle said nervously.
“Elle. Don’t tell me you’re seriously going out with this jackass.” Sebastian said, looking at her like she was crazy.
“Don’t start, Sallow.” Prewett glared.
“Can’t you just go out with one of the girls from your fan group?”
“Hello, Ominis.” Elle said, quietly squeezing his hand while the other two boys bickered.
“Hello, Elle. You smell lovely.”
“Thanks, it’s something that Imelda sprayed in my hair.”
“-oh SCREW YOU, Prewett!”
“I’d better intervene.”
“Do try to have a good time.” Ominis smiled.
“HEY! JACKASSES!” They both stopped and looked at her. “Sebastian, stop acting like an asshole. Prewett, stop letting him rile you up. Let’s go before my feet begin bleeding from these death traps masquerading as shoes!”
“Fine. But I’ll be waiting up for you.” Sebastian glared.
“You really don’t have to, I don’t think Prewett intends to murder me, and also we both know I could take him down in a heartbeat.”
“Hey!” Prewett protested.
“Let’s goooo.” Elle practically dragged him along.
“You couldn’t take me down in a heartbeat, I think-AUGH!” Prewett’s legs were swept out from under him.
Elle extended her hand to him. “What were you saying?”
“That was a cheap shot!”
“Ok, fine, you’re prepared now. Go on, attack me.”
“I don’t want to attack you, we’re supposed to be going on a bloody date!”
“Ugh, fine.”
They walked in silence until they got out of the castle. They began walking the path to Hogsmeade since it wasnt too far, and a nice evening. There was a group of Gryffindor girls who giggled and whispered as they passed. Elle stuck her middle finger up at them.
“You just make friends wherever you go, don’t you?” Prewett said sarcastically.
“I stand up for myself. Unlike you, I don’t have a legion of fans. Quite the opposite. I can’t blame them, knowing my family, but still, I won’t let them push me around.”
“Why does that matter, your family?”
“Don’t pretend like you don’t know.”
“I don’t, actually. To be honest, I’m not sure I even know your last name.”
Elle gaped at him. “We’ve been in school together for seven years! How self-absorbed are you?!”
“Well I don’t know EVERYONE’S last names!”
“Selwyn. Elle Selwyn.”
“Oh. OH!” Prewett’s eyes widened. “Um, yes, I’m familiar with your family.”
“Wonderful.” She said sarcastically as she stomped ahead of him.
“My family would kill me if they knew I was going out with a Selwyn girl.”
She whipped around to face him. “That! That is the exact reason I’m treated differently! And why Ominis is treated differently! Because people like you hear our last names and assume the worst! You know what, forget it.” Other people on the path to Hogsmeade were giving them strange looks and making a wider path.
She pushed past him and headed back towards the castle. “Elle, wait!”
“No. I have no interest in getting to know someone who has already made a thousand assumptions about me.”
“Don’t act so self-righteous! You’ve made assumptions about me too!”
She turned around with a venomous glare. “Have I been incorrect? Did you not immediately feel differently towards me? Perhaps a bit nervous for people to see you with me? Leander Prewett, the golden boy and Elle Selwyn, the venomous snake!” She turned around and began leaving again.
“My god, would you stop yelling and being angry with me for five minutes?!”
“Excuse me, did I hear you say you were Elle Selwyn?” An older woman asked.
“What’s it to you?!” She snapped.
The old woman gave her a wicked smile. “A Selwyn girl would fetch me a pretty penny.”
Elle’s eyes widened and just as Prewett shouted at her to look out, he was struck over the head and knocked out.
Prewett bolted upright with a gasp. “Elle!” He began frantically looking around and realized his arms were bound at the wrist. “ELLE!”
“Quit your screaming, she’s fine.” The old woman glared at him. “So you’re a Prewett boy? Not worth quite as much, but I imagine your family would like to keep you alive.”
He finally saw Elle’s small form in the corner of the cell they were in. It was fairly dark but he could see the rise and fall of her chest. “Fuck! Elle!” He tried his best to make his way over to her, but with arms and feet bound, it was difficult.
“What did you do to her? What the fuck did you do?!” He was trying not to panic, but they were both bound and wandless.
“She’s fine, but you won’t be if you don’t shut your mouth!” The woman stormed out and he heard a door slam, leaving them in almost total darkness.
“Oh my god. Oh my god! FUCK!”
“I thought Gryffindors were supposed to be brave?” Elle mumbled.
“ELLE!” He crawled over by her as she slowly sat up.
“God, Prewett, my head is pounding, would you stop screaming?!” It was then that he noticed she had a head injury too.
“Are you alright?”
“Bloody fantastic!”
“THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR SARCASM!”
“Can you get my shoe?”
“What?” He blinked at her.
“My shoe! Can you get it?”
“You’re worried about the shoes? I’ll buy Imelda new ones.”
“FOR GOD’S SAKE GIVE ME THE SHOE!”
He scrambled over to her and used his hands to the best of his ability to get her shoe off. “This isn’t easy, you know!” He got her shoe and awkwardly handed it to her as best he could.
“Come here, as close as possible.”
“I don’t think now is the time to-” He looked at her furious expression and silently scooted over.
“Luckily Imelda seems to like shoes that double as weaponry. Pull your wrists apart the best you can, it’ll cause the rope to stretch.” She attempted to use the heel of the shoe to cut through the rope to no avail. “Fuck. Ok, I have another plan, but you won’t like it.”
“What is it?”
“I’m fairly certain I can cast a wandless severing charm, but you might get cut.”
“Since our other option is to be stuck here, I suppose it’s worth a shot. Just…try not to cut me.”
“Right. Ok. Hold still.” She took a deep breath. “Diffindo.”
Prewett let out a small yelp, but his hands were free. “I think you cut my arm.”
“Sorry, now undo the ropes on my hands.”
He scooted behind her and undid the ropes as best he could with his trembling hands. Once her hands were free, she started on the ropes at her feet.
“Hey Elle?”
“What?” She looked up and he was staring at her. “What?” She repeated herself.
Leander pulled her face to his and kissed her, which was a lovely moment until she slapped him upside the head. “Not now!”
“So later, maybe?” He smiled.
“We’ll see how it goes. Untie your feet.”
He got the ropes off his feet and looked to her for direction. “Now what?”
“Try to locate our wands.”
Prewett got up and walked to the bars of the cell. “I think they’re on that table. Any chance you know a wandless summoning charm?”
“I can try.” She walked up beside him. “Accio!” Nothing happened at first and she swore. She took a deep breath and tried again. “Accio!” This time her wand rolled off the edge of the table to the floor. “Ugh!”
“Where did you learn wandless magic?” Prewett asked.
“There’s a book in the restricted section. Accio!” It rolled closer.
“You’ve been in the restricted section?!”
“You haven’t?” She asked.
“No, it’s restricted! It’s in the name!”
“So is the forbidden forest, but I go there all the time. ACCIO!” Her wand rolled forward enough for her to pick it up. “YES!” She let out an excited giggle before summoning Leander’s wand.
“Alright, I don’t know how many people are out there or what to expect, so stay behind me.”
“Shouldn’t I be in front of you?” Prewett asked.
“Why?”
“Well, I’m a gentleman, and a gentleman always protects his lady.”
She wrinkled her nose in disgust. “Just stay behind me.” She blasted the lock off the door. She removed her other shoe and held onto it. Prewett followed close behind.
The door flew open. “What the hell-”
“STUPEFY!” Elle sent the woman stumbling backwards. “Incarcerous!” Magic chains wrapped around her. “Do you see my purse?”
“What’s it look like?”
“A purse! It looks like a bloody purse! I don’t imagine there’s an abundance of them in here!”
“No need to take my head off! Here it is, and my phone.”
“Text someone and tell them we’re in danger, quickly!”
Leander sent a quick text and put his phone in his pocket. “Alright.”
She began moving forward. “Hey, don’t you want your bag?”
“A gentleman carries a ladies bag!” She shouted back to him as she pushed the door open. He sighed and followed along.
They found themselves in a large, dusty looking room. “Where are we?” Prewett asked.
“I’m not certain, but I think it’s some sort of ruin. There’s a lot of dirt and crumbled bits around.”
“You’re not supposed to be in here!” A voice shouted. They were quickly swarmed and began firing spells.
Prewett thought he was making pretty good progress until he looked and saw Elle had taken down twice as many enemies as him. He saw one coming up behind her that she didn’t notice. “ELLE! BEHIND YOU!’
Elle turned around and slammed the high heeled shoe she’d been holding into the man’s face. It gouged him in the eye and he was screaming. She depulsoed him out of the way and acted like it was nothing.
Prewett, on the other hand, promptly turned around and threw up. Luckily it was on a dark wizard who’d been sneaking up on him, so it was a good defense. The man swore loudly and Prewett swung the purse and knocked the man out cold. “My god, what do you keep in this purse?!”
Leander looked around and realized it was quiet. He turned around and watched Elle pull the shoe out of the man’s face. The eye was still attached and she gave an annoyed sigh and plucked it off. Prewett turned around and vomited again.
“Jesus, I didn’t know you were so squeamish!”
“You ripped that man’s eye out of his head!”
“He’s dead, what does he need it for?!”
Prewett let out a small chuckle. Then a louder laugh, which turned into a full on knee-slapping laugh.
“Fuck, you’ve lost your marbles.” Elle swore.
“I’m sorry, it’s just- we were going on a DATE and somehow we ended up here and you just ripped a man’s eyeball out! I keep waiting to wake up but it hasn’t happened yet!”
He was still laughing when Elle slapped him across the face. “HEY! Laugh when we’re safe! We need to keep moving.”
Little bursts of laughter were still spilling out of him as they went onward. Elle tripped and fell, letting out a string of curse words.
“Elle!” He helped her to her feet and she had tears streaming down her cheeks.
“FUCK, I think it’s broken!” She was holding her left foot up and her ankle was at an angle it definitely shouldn’t be. Prewett gagged and she shouted “DON’T YOU DARE THROW UP ON ME!”
“I’m ok, it’s alright. Do you have any potions?”
“No, I didn’t think I’d be needing them!”
“Right. Ok, I’ve got an idea. Climb onto my back.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Would you rather walk on a broken ankle?!”
