warning: obsessive behavior, violence, spoilers from manga/anime. Please take caution when reading the content.
Credit for this piece goes to @recreationalfanfics and their phenomenal works, specifically this one. I would like to specially thank my friend @nixes-noxes for helping me fine-tune this script to its fullest potential.
The intention of this story is for entertainment purposes only. The behavior exhibited here is inappropriate and unhealthy, hence it should not be encouraged. There are also triggers, so please take caution. You are responsible for your Internet consumption!
A demon was born from the malice of mankind. That is the story that humans and gods believe…but that is not the truth in your case.
 Fearing death, you willingly drank Muzan Kibitsuji’s blood and became the first Upper Moon. One of Twelve Kizuki to serve him and provide aid in his quest to obtain a solution to walk in the sunlight. You had died by the hands of your descendant and his fellow Demon Slayers, unsatisfied with the life you had lived as an abomination. In the end, you could not attain the innate talent your little brother possessed.
Because you were a creature classified as ‘evil’, you were confined to the depths of Helheim as punishment to suffer for all eternity. Not wanting to perish for a second time, you sliced down  enemies and cultivated your Moon Breathing Style in the hellish landscape before you were suddenly plucked out of that place, coming face-to-face with your new master: the Valkyrie called Brunhilde.
Apparently, she had intended to call out another champion to fight against the gods in a tournament known as Ragnarok, but for some unknown reason you were whisked here by her summons. Seeing this ‘accident’ as an opportunity, you laid out your sword and offered your loyalty to her. Yes you were a demon, but you had been loyal to Muzan until your dying breath. Being the servant to a demigod would not be any different, minus facing the antagonization of both human and gods alike for just being by her side.
It was better than returning to Helheim, anyway. The water did not scorch your skin and the high quality tea leaves were exceptional.
The smallest pleasures in life made a difference…but does that include being on the roster to fight against the infamous tyrant of the divine waters,  Poseidon? Probably not.

This is a god who is the physical embodiment of perfection. He is a king who has no need to be supported by individuals who are beneath him in the hierarchy of all life. Furthermore, he was not pleased when his little brother had added him as a contender in this childish tournament without his consent. Why stall the inevitable fate of humanity with Ragnarok? It’s honestly a waste of time for him.
There has never been an opponent who did not quiver at the sight of his trident nor survived to tell the tale. So why should he even bother to give any effort in this fight? His opponent was a demon. It is only natural that a demon would be stomped down by someone like himself, even if it is a female one with a slightly impressive physique and once bore the moniker ‘Moon Hashira’.
Untamed [Hair Color] tresses held together in a ponytail that reached to her waist. [Favorite Color] nagagi-kimono and black umanori-styled pants tied with a white obi. [Eye Color] irises and red sclera with words written on them.
The only reason he even recognized the clothing is because Aphrodite whined about the ‘poor fashion’ taste of Brunhilde’s new ‘pet’...but did she honestly expect anything more from a demon?
No, but she enjoyed hearing the others praise her intellect and how no one could ever hold a candle to the beauty of the lusty goddess. A hypocrite by any other name. She and Ares had another falling out, again.
Still it would not bother the gods nor himself by allowing his opponent to try and land a hit on him before killing the unfortunate abomination. The effort of an ant trying to avoid being crushed by a boot is always…adorable.
This act of ‘kindness’ towards the Moon Hashira led Poseidon into a match that has lasted longer than the previous Ragnarok bouts. She did not hesitate to use the water surrounding the arena to create a heavy mist that acted as a smokescreen before attacking from behind with her sword. She slashed his calves and right forearm, then jammed her sword that is made from her own flesh and blood into his stomach. She was going to kill him. She would do whatever it took to win the fight.
This revelation enraged Poseidon. How dare a demon think that she can kill a god? Blasphemy! HE IS A GOD, HE IS PERFECTION. ANYONE WHO DISAGREES HIM DESERVES TO DIE.
And yet he still found himself kneeling on the circular platform, leaning heavily against his trident with the bloodied edge of her sword pressed against the side of his neck. If it isn’t the reversal of positions that bothered him the most, it was the look of indifference dancing in the Moon Hashira’s eyes. As if he was the one being a nuisance and not the other way around.
Suddenly, she withdrew her sword and sheathed it. “I will not kill you.” She said, “A hierarchy exists to keep the balance between those who sit at the top of the food chain and those who are barely scraping by. Those who upset the balance must be punished accordingly. I am a demon, so I should die by the hands of a god…but I will not allow myself to die by someone who does not respect my master. That is…embarrassing. So take this loss as an act of kindness from me. The humiliation of being defeated by someone such as myself is more than adequate punishment.”
Turning her back to him, she stepped onto the boat that was tied to a stone pillar and drifted back to the human’s side of the arena. Poseidon also retreated, refusing Ares’ offers to escort him to the medical wing and swiftly returning to his palace beneath the ocean floor. He ignored Proteus’ concerns, isolating himself in his quarters as he…unleashed his anger onto the furniture. They could be easily replaced…but his defeat cannot be remedied just like the splintered wood, the tattered drapes, or anything he had thrown around the room.
He has lost against an imperfect creature. Him, the one who is the most feared and blessed god in the pantheons. How could this have happened?! How?!
Though is the Moon Hashira truly an ant if she had beaten him? No. But there is no use thinking about the wretched embodiment of impurity anymore. He…has lost the match, and in the end it is just one loss for the gods. Humanity will be destroyed, and the divine waters will be restored to their glory once the vermin have been eradicated.
Shortly after he had regained his composure, Poseidon returned to the Grecian’s private balcony to watch the other matches. As he is a god, his wounds healed within a matter of hours…so why could he have still felt the sword in his belly, twisting his insides? Why?
This might be the starting point in his descent to madness. He would remain a silent statue even in the aftermath of his adopted nephew’s death by Jack The Ripper’s hands, and Shiva’s obvious win against Raiden Taeemon while his brethren watched the events unfold in awe and anger.
But no matter how hard he tried to dissuade thoughts about the Valkyrie’s servant, his mind always drifted back to the Moon Hashira. He silently reflected on their fight; he remembered the humiliation when she spared his life, her deadly grace as she released one form of the Moon Breathing Style, her perfection.
[First Name] [Last Name], the Moon Hashira and a demon summoned from the depths of Helheim to save humanity….she was perfection. And Poseidon wanted her.
Knowing that the moon always gravitated towards the ocean would only feed into his delusions that it must be a sign from the Fates that this is his other half. The companion who will be by his side for all enternity. So why does she still dare to stand by Brunhilde and whisper in the demigod’s ear? Why does she converse with the samurai Kojiro, when he had no business being near her, let alone sharing a plate of Japanese snacks and tea?
How dare she smile at the man who had killed Heracles and the traitorous Buddha? She is perfect, there is no need to waste her time teaching her breathing techniques to a brat that went toe-to-toe with Loki in the greenhouse!
When the tyrant of the oceans witnessed [First Name] showing more emotions around the other combatants, he knows must act swiftly or else she will be snatched away by someone else who is lesser than a god of perfection such as himself, or worse be cast aside by her malicious master for the sake of humanity’s survival.
He will make the necessary arrangements with Proteus to prepare his kingdom for the arrival of a new queen.
Bonus Content:
The Moon Hashira is fully aware of Poseidon’s psychotic tendencies and will not make it easy for him to whisk her away like Zeus’ previous mistresses. Nor is she blindly loyal to being oblivious to Brunhilde’s scheming.
She did not live for half of a millennia as an Upper Moon by being an idiot.

Til we meet again
Hades x Wife!Reader
Tumblr media
Another angst oneshot yay-
Short as f*ck and kinda rushed. It's also kinda predictable.
May contain spoilers for rounds 6 & 7 if any of you haven't read to that point.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You accompanied your husband, Hades, walking beside him with teary eyes. You had married him before Zeus was born, so the king of the gods himself saw you as a older sister, just like Poseidon does (although he'll never admit it out loud-). When word of Poseidon losing in round 3 had reached your ear, you sobbed for the god. Hades had to comfort you the best he can, as he couldn't stand hearing you cry.
"You didn't have to come with me." Hades spoke up, looking at you.
"I know, but I didn't want to be alone." You replied, holding his hand. This always brought a smile to his face. You both reached the vip room, where his nephews Hermes and Ares were watching the rounds.
"That is our seat." Hades only had to speak a simple sentence to Ares, who immediately jumped out of the seat while yelling out. Your husband sat down, looking back at you.
"Come sit with me." Hades said. You shook your head, which made Hades a little bit upset but he didn't press any further. You stood beside the seat, watching the current round with nervous eyes.
You watched as the creature, Hajun was slowly gaining the upper hand against the god fighting for humanity, Buddha. You watch with anticipation, feeling relieved when Buddha slowly turned the tables.
"You're the fool here, you big oaf!" Hades exclaimed, snapping you out of your trance. You stepped back in surprise from the volume.
Without saying a word, you walked out, closing the door behind you.
You approached the Valkyrie, Brunhilde and tapped her shoulder. The dark haired woman turned around. The shorter one, Göll did the same, but she yelped out when she saw you.
"Greetings, Lady (Y/n). What brings you here?" Brunhilde asked, her green eyes staring into your own.
"Please don't speak a word to this but...." You whispered the rest into her ear. Brunhilde's eyes widen at what you said, standing in place as you patted her shoulder. You walked past the two Valkyries, your footsteps echoing through the corridors.
__________
The moment a figure in all black walked out after the opponent, everyone present was confused and shocked. Including Zeus and Odin. You had returned to the VIP room after a nice talk with Brunhilde
The human fighter, Qin Shi Huang was confused, but quickly shook it off.
"And who may you be?" Qin asked, pointing at the figure. They sighed and took out their choice of weapon.
"That does not matter. Let's just fight." They replied emotionlessly, raising it high. Qin smirked and got into a fighting stance. The figure thrusted their weapon forward, aiming for Qin's shoulder, who deflected the strike and sent it back to them. The mysterious fighter was sent flying to the other side of the arena.
You say beside your husband, watching the match with a small smile. Hades noticed your smile and saw it as odd, but he brushed it off.
Everyone watched as the fight went on, blood being spilled from one strike to another. Some of the clothing the fighter wore was sliced apart.
When Qin stabbed the fighter through the chest, you felt the same pain. Qin moved the sword diagonally, the blood spraying out from the slice. You winced and clutched your shoulder, getting your husband's attention.
"(Y/n), are you alright?" Hades asked, grabbing you before you fell off. You let out some shaky pants, unable to speak properly.
"I'm sorry, my love..." You whispered, turning into liquid. Hades' eyes widen at the liquid, looking at the figure. The fighter stumbled back, falling to their knees. They reached up and took off the mask, laughing quietly. Hades felt his heart sink when he saw the face.
"(Y/n)?" The god whispered quietly, his arms shaking. You fell backwards, too weak to move from the injuries you received. Like the other fallen fighters, your body started to shatter like glass.
"My Hades....." You moved your eyes to see your husband one last time. You managed to whisper one last thing before you shattered completely.
"Please forgive me.... I love you, my beloved..."
"Do you think she can handle it?" The black-haired woman asks the other one, worry evident in her voice.
"She's so eager to please she will make sure she will." The blonde hair winks at her and presses your legs down towards the mattress. In response, you huff and squirm trying to move your legs away but Brunnhilde only slaps them apart.
"Don’t disrespect your king.” She warns you and scoffs.
“Be a good girl for us, come on. You are the one who wanted this anyway," Jane reminds you, her fingers brushing against your thighs softly. All you can do is whine again spreading your legs apart of your own volition, and sitting prettily waiting for whatever was next.
"Please…" you mewl squirming your legs trying to close them but Jane held them tightly. Her big muscles shone brightly against the night light.
"Is too much. " You shout and your whole body shakes to the rhythm of your fifth orgasm. Was an hour ago when they had pinned you down for disobeying them. But it wasn't your fault they were away so much on business and whatnots. What were you supposed to do when your pussy ached so? You needed some release and they walked inside the chambers battle clad in just the right moment to torture you and thus the punishment began.
Jane and Brunnhilde were co-ruling Asgard together and they had been together for some time. Yet one fateful night, one night that truly felt like any else, you didn't expect them to show interest in you, just another humble maid. One beckoning stare from Jane and another from Brunnhilde and there you were their new shiny toy. That was six months ago now you were on their bed, naked as the day of light and crying from too much pleasure.
"If you wanted to cum so bad what else is there for us to do than to make sure you won't stop cumming, huh?"
“We only want to please you, sweet one, what else can we do? Look at how eager your poor pussy is. I don’t think she is even close to enough yet.”
“Think after this we bound to teach her some manners or bet yet tie up her legs and never let her cum again without us. What do you think, baby?”
“That’s the best thing I’ve heard all day.” Jane beams at her wife and looks at you with a darkened stare. You moan again, your clit now oversensitive as you watched Brunnhilde proceeding to remove her armor. Without further ado, she lands her pussy on yours and begins wildly riding you.
"You're nothing but my sex pet, pretty one, did you really think you're even allowed to make your own decisions? No, you thought wrong. Time for you to do whatever I tell you to do."
Jane lets go of your legs and as if they have an unspoken agreement she removes her clothes as well and proceeds to sit on your face, her body facing Brunnhilde's. The sound of them loudly making out moaning at your touches while you were struggling to lick Jane made you even hornier. Tonight you'd truly learn just how much you could take. A glance at the golden mirror next to the bed held the most perfect picture for you. You are perfectly planted by your two lovers holding on to one another. Breasts brushed over each other as they used and worked your body to their pleasure. You were nothing but their pet and you were very glad to be so.
"Harder!" Jane yells at Valkyrie and all she does is drill your body to the mattress riding you with incredible ferocity. Is clear who was calling the shots but this was only evident inside the confidence of these royal champers. Outside, they were both vicious strick co-rulers. Brunnhilde extends an arm to Jane's pussy rubbing her feverishly, a favor Brunnhilde returns immediately. While the blonde woman was riding your face the way she needed you to not giving you a lot of space to breathe. They loved using you, working your body as if it was nothing but a toy and nothing more than a golden coveted object. It was everything you ever wanted and more. You spend your days and nights close to their chambers or on the rare ocassion bound to their tents when they went on a trip.
They had a pact that they would always cum together which you found endearing. You found out about this deal early on, and it surprisingly warmed your heart. Jane is the one to cum first as per usual which only makes Brunnhilde break out into a thunderous moan screaming and crying out her name. They loved repeating each other names like that, moaning and screaming as if to establish dominance over one another.
Satisfied in their pleasure they both use your body for as long as they need to.
“Time for a snack.” The black-haired woman says happily and points to you which makes the blonde woman nod positively in response.
They crush their lips against each other, hungrily kissing until they both kneel in front of your pussy and together start assaulting you with their tongues making you cum once again. You should have known you would have been the snack yet sometimes your brain got really hazy cause of them.
If all punishments ended up like this maybe you'd be naughty more often.
I've thought about writing an elucien fanfiction..
The prologue would consist of Beron being killed by Lucien and Eris. Keir being killed by Mor. Eris becoming high lord of autumn.
Morrigan leading hewn city.
Beron will kill helion because Helion sacrifices himself for the loa and the rest of her sons. This Lucien becomes high king.
Gwyn and Azriel kill the queens. Fund out they're mates. Gwyn is the granddaughter of Beron. Her father andras. She's researching koschei. Vassa and the swans are freed because of Lucien's full powers. The seasons are the actual rightful queens.
Azriel, Rhys and Cassian plus the Valkyries are trying to keep the Illyrians from joining koschei and they find out daglan are still in prythinan. Trying to recruit worshippers. Beron and the queens left them out. Emerie has taken over the Valkyries and is helping with the Illyrian rebellion. Mor and her are together.
Beron was using a spell to torture Tamlin to insanity. He's back to being high lord and spring court is thriving
Elain is missing. Though no one has paid attention. She's been erasing her memory from others. She's been in the middle. Searching using her powers. For asteri, monsters and pockets of magic. Though she's found two friends. A witch. An ironteeth witch. One of the first witches created by the valg. Lucien hasn't visited velaris. He's been in day etc. So he really has no clue.
She stays in the middle to hunt monsters and asteri. She's know Elain for many years. Even as a human Elain knew her. She's mates with Tamlin. I want her to be Latino with blue black hair with valg king eyes.
Elain's other friend is a Demi fae. A daughter of the king of Hybern. Who was protected by the witch. She was also the mercenary. Balthazar etc. She had visions though not a seer. She's Eris mate. Eris and mor were mates. Though they had a false bond created by koschei, king of Hybern and Beron.
She's short and has dark brown hair and brown eyes with a spark of green not hazel . She's related to Jurian. His half sister. She has two wolves. They're aren't tog fae. They're fae. Just fae animals.
Koschei would still be alive. Lucien, Eris and Tamlin go to the middle to investigate tales of increase of monsters. The pockets of magic etc. This is from Gwyn's research. Loa and Eris remaining brothers are watching over autumn
Bronn, Hart and alis return to spring. Help watch over while Tamlin is in the middle.
Day court is being run by scholars and Gwyn. She's using the libraries to research topics. Azriel and her are together. They just have jobs to do.
Dusk court is real being ruled by Nesta who has humans and fae living together.
All three high lords are following the Middle suriel. Who is a bit mad.
Though he leads them to the three females. The witch is fighting nagas. The Demi fae picts.
Which Tamlin starts helping her fight the nagas They don't have a slow burn. Immediately recognize each other. Accept the bond later on. Though not against it. She's giving me asterin vibes. Personality wise.
Eris helps the Demi fae. Though she ends up saving him. Because a pict pretend to be his mom.
They're are a bit reluctant about the mating bond..
I see her as Aelin character. Full of mischief.
So lucien senses elain. She's being attacked by bogge. Which you can't kill. Though Elain can. She's not just a seer. Idk what additional powers. I would give her.
Anyways Elain found a pockets of magic.
Created a garden in the middle. With sprites, fae animals etc.
She brought back trapped fae. Which were the ones in stone.
The story will be about koschei. The valg kings. Elain and lucien finally getting together. She had things to do before they could. As did he. Elain being viewed as the ruler of her garden in the middle. Though she refuses.
Eris finally accepting love from a light-hearted mate. His hounds and her wolves actually get along. She brings out the sweet loving side of Eris. Plus goofy.
Tamlin and his mate just being strong rulers. They bring out the live your life to to the fullest vibes.
English is my first language and I haven't written anything in years.
Decades even lol
Eichi's "Left Hand": An Archetypal Analysis of Wataru Hibiki's Role
Well, specifically of Wataru as Eichi's left hand, anyway. There's way too much ground to cover for Wataru's archetype to do it in one post.
The ruler's "right hand" is a pretty common archetype and trope that you're all probably familiar with. The "left hand," less common, shows up in different places as well.
The "right hand man" is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a very important assistant who helps someone do a job." The term comes from archetypal understandings of the function of the "right hand" which have evolved over the last centuries. In general, because most people are right-handed, the right hand has been favoured across many cultures, associated with luck and goodness.
The right hand is traditionally the hand which holds the sword, and so it is associated with action; the "right-hand man" enacts the will of the king. In his description of "the king/queen" archetype, J. E. Sandoval writes:
The sword represents power over life and death, as well as defense against those that threaten the greater order.
This is the exact role that Keito takes in Enstars. When Eichi is ill at the beginning of the year in ES!, Keito takes it upon himself to ensure that the school does not fall into disorder, tightening his hold on students and making the regulations very strict. He does this for the purpose of securing Eichi's place on Yumenosaki's "throne" while Eichi is away, and once Eichi returns, this is still frequently the role that Keito plays.
The right hand represents Deity. The aggressive hand, hand of growth and strength. Right hand laid on a person conveys authority, blessings, power, strength. Right hand lifted to heaven, and oath, swearing.
(Gertrude Jobes, Dictionary of Mythology, Folklore, and Symbols, quoted here)
The king depends on the right hand for recognition of his power and authority; the right hand is his strength and the one who exercises his will.
On the other hand (lol), the left has often historically been treated to unfavourable interpretations. Left-handed people have historically been discriminated against in many cultures and even forced to learn to use their right hands rather than their lefts.
In symbolism the body is divided vertically into halves, the right half being considered as light and the left half as darkness. [...] the light half was denominated spiritual and the left half material. Light is the symbol of objectivity; darkness of subjectivity. [...] darkness is considered as the veil which must eternally conceal the true nature of abstract and undifferentiated Being. ... several early nations used the right hand for all constructive labors and the left hand for only those purposes termed unclean and unfit for the sight of the gods. For the same reason black magic was often referred to as the left-hand path, and heaven was said to be upon the right and hell upon the left.
(Manly P Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages)
We see this reflected in the "narrative" created by Eichi and Keito. Keito is a member of the student council, the force of justice and order at Yumenosaki Academy, and the vice-president, cementing his role as Eichi's second in command. Wataru, by contrast, is one of the "Oddballs," who were castigated by the student council and made enemies of the public at Yumenosaki. Wataru plays the role of a "jester," associated with trickery and mischief, and Keito constantly fears that Wataru will corrupt Eichi.
The right hand bravely holds the sword, whereas the left hand does the ruler's "dirty work" in the darkness. Wataru is a member of fine, and is frequently treated to being part of Eichi's unsavoury business - trying to buy up Hokuto from Trickstar, threatening Ra*bits, and facing off against Wataru's own friends in UNDEAD and Valkyrie. The student council enacts "order" in the school through rules and regulations, and creates the guidelines by which students are subject to judgment (DreamFes participation is reflected in grades, for example). fine, on the other hand, is how Eichi threatens others using their status as a peer unit rather than by invoking the student council's authority. He challenges and uses underhanded methods to get others to compete against him, and really gets into the thick of the "battles" on the stage.
In the ES! Main Story, Eichi compares Wataru to Mephistopheles, a charming demon who (seemingly) reluctantly lured Doctor Faustus down a path of corruption and to hell, after Wataru threatens his plans for Trickstar. Eichi's plans were cruel, but they were done in the name of the student council, and so Wataru was like Mephistopheles in that he was pulling Eichi away from his own "just" decree and imperial edict.
Wataru is often the one who commentates on Eichi's tyranny - he refers to him as a tyrant, to start with, but also lauds praise upon him for his majesty and ruthlessness.
You are definitely not "evil"! You are "justice", and yet you commit atrocities and greedily devour the tears and dreams of others! Love and hatred! Hope and despair! Dreams and nightmares! You have achieved a way of life that is contradictory and conflicting!
(Ensemble Stars! Novel Adaptation, translation by maluridae)
The left hand has also been associated historically with the feminine, because it was often the hand that held the shield while the right held the sword. In China, the right hand is associated with the masculine yang, strength, and war; and the left hand is associated with the feminine yin, and honour (Carla Huffman).
... as the source of Being is in the primal darkness which preceded light, so the spiritual nature of man is in the dark part of his being, for the heart is on the left side.
(Manly P Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages)
Part of what makes the left hand so fearsome and threatening is that it's connected to the "heart." The honourable right hand which lives in the light does not know the truths concealed in the king's darkness. Femininity has historically been associated with chaos, emotion, and "touch," whereas masculinity is associated with rationality, order, and and "vision" (I don't have a source on hand for this one but I got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in gender studies so just take my word for it; I'm sure it's easy to look up). The right hand is the sword and the "all-seeing eye" which dispassionately and honourably enacts justice; and the left hand guards the heart and represents desire, intimacy, and unpredictability.
The left hand has the potential to unravel the power of the king because it appeals to his heart.
Wataru plays this role so, so many times throughout Enstars. In one of their first conversations (which Eichi may have imagined, but it doesn't make a difference symbolically, because it still represents what Wataru is to Eichi), Wataru asks Eichi if he's meant to be the villain who dies or the princess who embraces him with a kiss. Eichi tells Wataru that he struggles to imagine him losing, and confesses that it pains him to see Wataru in this position even though Eichi is the one who put him in it (Element).
When Eichi tries to tear Trickstar apart, invoking his position as the Student Council President to pull Hokuto into fine, Wataru gives Hokuto a letter from his grandmother encouraging him to hold fast to his dreams. Eichi is famously angry about this, and his expression of it is incredibly intimate:
He lightly runs his fingertips through Wataru's long silver hair and, like a child throwing a temper tantrum, suddenly grabs it. With a grip so tight that Wataru's hair could possibly tear, Eichi brings his face so close that they look like they are about to kiss. He's like a woman who has gone mad with jealousy.
(Ensemble Stars! Novel Adaptation, translation by maluridae)
After some back and forth between the two, Wataru says to him:
"That is how you wished for this to unfold, yes?" Whispered to him like a fallen angel, Eichi does not react to his words; he reluctantly stays silent. He always speaks so fluently, so it's rare to see him have such trouble coming up with a reply.
(Ensemble Stars! Novel Adaptation, translation by maluridae)
This quote shows that Wataru knows what's truly in Eichi's heart and that his actions are motivated by this. Subaru asks Eichi later in Main Story why he created an opportunity to be defeated in the first place, and Eichi admits to him:
Hehe, I sure wonder why... I might have wanted to see it happen. A miracle. To see your shine that enables you to overcome any fate, no matter how hopeless it may seem. To see your limitless potential. I was born with a weak body. I've cursed the gods countless times. However, if somehow a miracle can happen in this world... if there's hope, if there's love... Then I'd also be able to love this world. That might have been what I was thinking. You can't be an idol with only love. However, if you don't have love, you aren't qualified to be an idol. I just, simply... wanted to become an idol.
(Ensemble Stars! Main Story, translation by Freddie24f)
Wataru knows what Eichi wants before Eichi knows what he wants, and he ensures that Eichi will get it even if it means doing things that Eichi doesn't like in the moment. This is the defining pattern of their entire relationship. It is the exact reason why, in the hospital before their DreamFes, Wataru says to Eichi:
I am not quite sure if it is because the script is just simply awful or not, but it is difficult to see what part I have in this! [...] I do not know whether I should be stabbed by a knife and die while letting out a scream of death and agony, or give an embrace and a kiss!
(Element, translation by Shoe/maluridae)
That what Eichi really wants is intimacy and love is obvious to Wataru, despite all of Eichi's posturing as though he wants Wataru to be the villain. Wataru lets him keep his narrative, but joins fine shortly afterward. In Diner Live, Wataru baits and then switches Eichi by challenging Knight Killers to a "showdown" against Träumerei, only to surprise him by turning the performance into a joint live and switching out all the penlights which the audience was supposed to use to vote into ones that emit rainbow light, representing togetherness. When the live is over, he tells Eichi that his real motive was to express his desire for the two of them to keep performing together as equals and stay together in the future. Eichi agrees and tells Wataru that this is his true dream too.
Wataru grants the wishes Eichi can only make in his heart, the ones that are too unconscious and in the dark to articulate - and it is the role of the "left" to know the unconscious desires that the heart conceals.
Because of this, the left hand has influence over the king that the right hand does not. The right hand is blunt, offensive, the upright "hand of justice." When the right hand and the king are not on the same page, when they disagree, it undermines the king's power and causes tension and friction, but the right hand does not have much ability to influence the king to change. The right hand is unsubtle and doesn't speak directly to the king's heart. The right hand and the king must be in sync to secure the king's authority.
This is why, in the ES! Main Story, when Keito disagrees with Eichi's methods in breaking Trickstar up, he basically can't change Eichi's mind. He ends up undermining Eichi's intent instead by permitting and even encouraging Mao to leave Akatsuki and rejoin Trickstar. When the right hand is out of sync with the ruler, he takes on a quality that is hypocritical or mutinous, either resentfully enacting the ruler's will despite his own wishes, or betraying and actively acting against the ruler's will with the blunt force of the sword. These tensions culminate in Quarrel Festival, when Eichi challenges Keito to a straight up fight and threatens to disband Akatsuki, forcing Keito to acknowledge his own will and push back against Eichi. Ultimately, Keito explains that he does not feel bound by Eichi to any further extent than what he would want, but expresses that it was a relief to vent his frustration with the decisions Eichi sometimes makes.
The left hand, by contrast, is subtle, and can speak to the king's heart. This is why Wataru can influence Eichi while remaining at his side; in Jingle Bells, Wataru expresses disappointment with how Eichi handles Tori, and Eichi, although defensive, immediately reflects on how he should change his approach. Wataru's involvement in the ES! Main Story is another example of this. Eichi may become angry with him, but Wataru speaks directly to his deep desires, leaving Eichi speechless and subject to his influence.
The right hand depends on the ruler for its position and purpose, and the ruler depends on the right hand for its authority and power. The left hand, however, speaks to the heart and flows from the heart, and so it can act independently and exert influence.
A conflict with Keito is between Eichi's ideals and Keito's; a conflict between Eichi and Wataru is between Eichi's own actions and his own principles. When Keito betrays Eichi, it's because they don't agree. When Wataru betrays Eichi, it's because Eichi has betrayed himself.
Sandoval, continuing his description of the king/queen archetype, writes:
The king/queen archetype is, on the whole, not pacifist. It is always prepared to establish "justice", or order, by whatever means necessary. But because of this, it also requires a counterbalance from its opposite side - the idealistic heart [...] The king/queen archetype, if left to itself, can fall into a state of tyranny where the same power originally used to safeguard the city from harm eventually becomes the greatest harm to the city. Due to the natural passage of time, the king's commands eventually become outdated and dysfunctional as the world around him changes. If they are not revisited, via a return to the pure ideal that they were aiming to uphold, the king's reign will collapse. The role of the [...] compass, is to check the king/queen's values and character to ensure fitness to rule and to redirect them to their northern star.
As Eichi's right hand, Keito is the one who enacts Eichi's vision of justice/order. But as his left hand, Wataru keeps Eichi in touch with his true desires and ideals and subtly redirects him back onto his path while staying at his side and helping him do his "dirty work." Where Keito carries the sword, Wataru is a rogue at Eichi's side, understanding more than he lets on and performing sleights of hand and illusions that charm him and guide him.
As the carrier of the sword, Keito's role is comparable to the archetype of a knight. Wataru's role is closer to that of confidante - connoting "confidence"/someone you "confide in." The right hand doesn't necessarily have to be one person; it could be an army. The left hand is always one person; it connotes specialness and secrecy.
This is the archetypal pair that is regarded from the outside with suspicion. The ruler and right hand are "easy to understand." The ruler and the left hand have a special closeness that causes rumours to fly about temptation, corruption, and secret love affairs.
When Keito pleads with Eichi to get rid of Wataru, Eichi tells him:
If you're my right hand, then Wataru's my left. It'd be a shame if I got rid of either just yet... ♪
(Circus, translation by Enstars Translates)
In this quote, Eichi suggests to Keito that if Wataru is expendable, Keito is too. However, it's important to note that Eichi is actually left-handed, a point that Wataru actually comments on:
He calls himself "Eichi's right hand"! Even though Eichi is left-handed - how interesting! Ahh, interpreting those sentiments surrounding this matter gives me such a fuzzy feeling... ☆
(The Flag's Honor * Flower Festival, translation by Shoe/maluridae)
Flower Fes was written by Akira, and so the symbolism behind Eichi's left-handedness with Wataru as his left and Keito as his right is definitely intentional. When Eichi suggests to Keito that he's subject to being gotten rid of as much as Wataru is, he is not suggesting that Keito and Wataru are equal. The loss of Eichi's left hand would be more detrimental to Eichi than the loss of his right. As much as Eichi loves and appreciates Keito, and has no desire to get rid of him, he needs Wataru in a different way than he needs Keito, and if he were to get rid of either of them, he would probably get rid of Keito first. (And indeed, he does try to push Keito away in Quarrel Festival, whereas he and Wataru are in the same unit and declare their intentions to keep performing together into the future).
Theories about the left and right brain also further illustrate their specific positions. The right hand is controlled by the left brain, which is associated with logic, math, and structure. The left hand is controlled by the right brain, which is associated with creativity and art. Keito represents "discipline" in Eichi's life, structure, order, safety, security, and the masculine values mentioned above. Wataru represents Eichi's creativity and imagination with his magic, and the two perform together as artists. Being left-handed, Eichi is more firmly planted in the creative side, despite his role of representing order in Yumenosaki Academy as part of the student council with Keito.
As Eichi's "left hand," Wataru fulfills a major role in Eichi's life; namely, that of representing his heart. Despite being associated with the darkness and looked on with suspicion, Wataru knows Eichi's heart and his unconscious desires. Independent from Eichi's will, Wataru is able to remind and guide Eichi on the basis of his principles, and subtly influence Eichi in ways that push him to grow and be his best self. He is Eichi's confidante, and, owing to Eichi's left-handedness, the person that Eichi would be most reluctant to get rid of. He is the unpredictable chaos that Eichi craves, capable of unraveling Eichi's best laid plans, and, because he knows Eichi's heart, Eichi knows that when he does unravel them, it's because that's what's best for Eichi.
Of course. I trust you more than anyone in this world, including myself. Also, I wouldn't mind a betrayal - if it's from you. I wouldn't care even if you did anything awful to me. Is this feeling love, as the others call it?
(Eichi in Tempest, official English Ensemble! Stars translation)
We will meet again {Hades x Wife!Reader}
Tumblr media
Spoilers for rounds 6 & 7 if any of you haven't read to that point.
I have to take down that no angst rule if I haven't done that yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You accompanied your husband, Hades, walking beside him with teary eyes. You had married him before Zeus was born, so the king of the gods himself saw you as a older sister, just like Poseidon does (although he'll never admit it out loud-). When word of Poseidon losing in round 3 had reached your ear, you sobbed for the god. Hades had to comfort you the best he can, as he couldn't stand hearing you cry.
"You didn't have to come with me." Hades spoke up, looking at you.
"I know, but I didn't want to be alone." You replied, holding his hand. This always brought a smile to his face. You both reached the vip room, where his nephews Hermes and Ares were watching the rounds.
"That is our seat." Hades only had to speak a simple sentence to Ares, who immediately jumped out of the seat while yelling out. Your husband sat down, looking back at you.
"Come sit with me." Hades said. You shook your head, which made Hades a little bit upset but he didn't press any further. You stood beside the seat, watching the current round with nervous eyes.
You watched as the creature, Hajun was slowly gaining the upper hand against the god fighting for humanity, Buddha. You watch with anticipation, feeling relieved when Buddha slowly turned the tables.
"You're the fool here, you big oaf!" Hades exclaimed, snapping you out of your trance. You stepped back in surprise from the volume.
Without saying a word, you walked out, closing the door behind you.
You approached the Valkyrie, Brunhilde and tapped her shoulder. The dark haired woman turned around. The shorter one, Göll did the same, but she yelped out when she saw you.
"Greetings, Lady (Y/n). What brings you here?" Brunhilde asked, her green eyes staring into your own.
"Please don't speak a word to this but...." You whispered the rest into her ear. Brunhilde's eyes widen at what you said, standing in place as you patted her shoulder. You walked past the two Valkyries, your footsteps echoing through the corridors.
__________
The moment a figure in all black walked out after the opponent, everyone present was confused and shocked. Including Zeus and Odin. You had returned to the VIP room after a nice talk with Brunhilde
The human fighter, Qin Shi Huang was confused, but quickly shook it off.
"And who may you be?" Qin asked, pointing at the figure. They sighed and took out their choice of weapon.
"That does not matter. Let's just fight." They replied emotionlessly, raising it high. Qin smirked and got into a fighting stance. The figure thrusted their weapon forward, aiming for Qin's shoulder, who deflected the strike and sent it back to them. The mysterious fighter was sent flying to the other side of the arena.
You say beside your husband, watching the match with a small smile. Hades noticed your smile and saw it as odd, but he brushed it off.
Everyone watched as the fight went on, blood being spilled from one strike to another. Some of the clothing the fighter wore was sliced apart.
When Qin stabbed the fighter through the chest, you felt the same pain. Qin moved the sword diagonally, the blood spraying out from the slice. You winced and clutched your shoulder, getting your husband's attention.
"(Y/n), are you alright?" Hades asked, grabbing you before you fell off. You let out some shaky pants, unable to speak properly.
"I'm sorry, my love..." You whispered, turning into liquid. Hades' eyes widen at the liquid, looking at the figure. The fighter stumbled back, falling to their knees. They reached up and took off the mask, laughing quietly. Hades felt his heart sink when he saw the face.
"(Y/n)?" The god whispered quietly, his arms shaking. You fell backwards, too weak to move from the injuries you received. Like the other fallen fighters, your body started to shatter like glass.
"My Hades....." You moved your eyes to see your husband one last time. You managed to whisper one last thing before you shattered completely.
"Please forgive me.... I love you, my beloved..."

It's my plan {Part two}
Summary: five years after you disappeared from his arms, Loki gets proposed with a way to bring you back. He wants to risk it all to see your smile again.
A/N: I hope you enjoy this!!
Tumblr media
Five years. Five years since what everyone was calling "The Blip" happened. Five years since you had been lost to both Loki and Roselle. Loki had tried his best to be both the best mother and best father to your little girl but he knew that even if he was surrounded by Asgardians, he was struggling.
Roselle was a vibrant five-year-old, growing slowly because of her Jötun biology from Loki. She was at least two and a half years because of this and Loki was hurting. You had missed so much of Roselle's life already.
The young Jötun Prince had many low days where he had thought of just ending his and his daughter's lives to see if you were waiting at the gates of Valhalla for the both of them and it disgusted him to think about.
Loki had moved to New Asgard as Thor had so cleverly named the small village. He had settled down in the small village and had claimed, "it'll do," before grabbing a crate of beers and heading up the hill to the house erected above the others, reminiscent of the Asgardian Palace.
Loki had since become the one that all the Asgardians rushed to if they ever had any problems because Thor had abandoned his duties just to sit in his house and drink away his days in guilt. Everyone in New Asgard constantly told Loki how Frigga would be happy that he was settling and they even looked after Roselle when he had to go out fishing when some fishermen were sick.
Thor didn't even come to train new Einherjar and so, Loki had to set up classes for current Einherjar to help him teach trainees. Loki was starting to be classed as 'King' more than Thor was, their loyalty swerving to the Prince since he was more hands-on with the upkeep of the surviving Aesir.
Everyone adored Roselle, too. She was a little minx and was always running away from Loki down into the docks when she learned how, watching fishermen return from the open water and pointing to them when Loki picked her up. She was getting your curiosity and not just your beautiful personality. She may look like him in every sense but Roselle was definitely your child too.
Three years after the Blip, Loki had been awoken by a purple glow beside him and Roselle tumbling onto the other side of his bed. While elated, Loki also grieved that you had missed Roselle's first display of seiðr. He had cuddled his daughter close to his body and kissed her forehead delicately as he stroked her ebony black hair and whispered, "mummy would be so proud of you."
Roselle didn't understand why Loki had also shed tears a year ago when a memorial was put up to commemorate fallen Asgardians and your name had been put down because the Aesir considered you one of theirs. Pointing to your name, Roselle had beamed and declared her first word, "mama!"
A celebration had been held that night for the fallen but Loki didn't attend and neither did Thor. Valkyrie had kept an eye on Roselle as she danced around the campfire with other Aesir, being led by all the other girls around her age. Loki could not have been prouder that his little girl was starting to make friends but it ached how much Roselle didn't know about what happened to her mummy.
Loki had Roselle on his hip as he took a walk down the street one nippy morning and he smiled kindly at the Aesir that he passed, Roselle waving at them as they passed and the Aesir kindly bowing to her before continuing on their way. Loki never thought that he would feel so accepted by the Aesir but here he was, practically their King and respected.
Thor hadn't been seen by the local Aesir for over a month, since their last shipment of beers and of pop tarts ordered from Amazon. Loki had seen him afterwards but did not linger as he was disgusted looking at his elder brother. Frigga would have made sure that Thor felt her slap if she had ever seen him like this. He had let himself go, relinquishing his training and his routines to spend time in front of the TV and play games.
Roselle had only known this version of her Uncle and so, she loved him and watched him play Fortnite eagerly with Korg but Loki had known Thor for a thousand years and knew that his failure had hit his brother so hard if this was what it had done to him.
Seeing a truck pulling up, Loki froze as he saw Hulk emerge off the back and he took a step back in fear, Roselle patting his shoulder quickly to warn him that they were close to the edge of the path and almost falling into the water. Rocket got out of the truck and gave Loki a toothy grin, waving teasingly, "never expected this! Loki is the parental figure! How you doing, stabby?"
Loki glared at the raccoon before shrugging and hiking Roselle up higher on his hip, "we're coping. I am actually going down to the memorial if you want to come? It would be nice to have some friends there with us."
Hulk shook his head and yet, the voice that came out was undeniably Banner. Fascinating, Loki thought with a smile.
"We're here to see Thor, actually? Do you know where he is? Is he training?" Banner asked and Loki scoffed.
Turning on his heel, Loki pointed up at the house above the others with a scowl, "the only training that my brother does is training on his video games. You won't find him down with the Einherjar anymore. I will take you, follow me," Loki mumbled and started on the trek up to Thor's home.
Roselle giggled and squealed as she clung to her daddy's leather, "we go see Uncle Thor!!" The little girl grinned and Loki offered her a small smile as he walked.
"So, why do you hold so much... er... distaste for Thor these days, Loki? More so than usual," Banner asked and Loki sighed as he carried on walking, entertaining Roselle with small illusions as he walked.
Loki knew the answer to the question but he simply replied, "you will see. Brother would have upset mother so if she ever saw him in this situation."
Banner nodded and when Loki got to Thor's door, his hand gleamed with golden seiðr before the door swung open and he walked inside, keeping Roselle clung to his side as he dodged the many booze bottles and boxes upon boxes of PopTarts. Loki watched both Banner and Rocket cringe at the sight and he walked into the living room.
"Hey, Loki! Feel free to hook up to the Wi-Fi and play with us, Thor would love that! Oh, hey, you brought friends! My name is Korg and this is Miek, hope you both are alright," the pile of rocks spoke, not taking his eyes from his game.
"Friends! Brother!" came the call of an almost drunken Thor and Loki cringed as he saw how bad Thor had gotten in even two weeks, he really had no regard for his physical health anymore, "it's so good to see you all! Aww c'mere!"
Thor pulled Rocket into an awkward hug and Loki could see that the raccoon was uncomfortable.
"Hulk! You know my friends, Miek and Korg, right?" Thor smiled and pointed to Korg, laughing with joy at seeing both of his friends again but Loki frowned as he saw the pain reflecting in his brother's eyes. They hadn't visited in five years and Thor had thought that he only had Loki left.
"Hey boys!" Korg looked away from his game to wave to Bruce and Rocket, as did Miek and he also smiled at Loki and Roselle, "and there's the little princess! Ah, wait... Thor, he's back! That kid on the TV just called me a dickhead again!"
"Noobmaster," Thor growled, glaring over at the TV and Loki facepalmed while Roselle giggled.
"Yeah Noobmaster69. Called me a dickhead," Korg grumped and Thor walked over to the Kronan.
Quickly, Loki slapped his hands over Roselle's ears so that she wouldn't hear Thor's threats, as usual. The God of Mischief watched his brother solemnly, hating that depression had taken away the brave God of Thunder and left this slob in his place.
"I'm sick of this," Thor muttered before pressing the headset to his ear, "Noobmaster, hey, it's Thor again! You know, the God of Thunder? Listen, bud, if you don't log off this game immediately, I am going to fly over to your house, come down to that basement you're hiding in, rip off your arms and shove them up your butt! Oh yes that's right, go cry to your father you little weasel."
"Thank you, Thor," Korg thanked as Thor handed him back the headset.
Thor nodded and smiled, "let me know if he bothers you again, okay?"
Korg nodded and smiled, "thank you very much, I will."
"Thor!" Loki snarled and Thor looked over at him sheepishly, noticing Loki's hands over Roselle's ears and the glare on Loki's face, "might I remind you that you are an Asgardian King!"
"Asgard is gone, Loki. if Asgard is a people then you are the King. You have their respect more than I," Thor lamented, walking away from his brother. "so, you guys want a drink? What are we drinking? I've got beer, tequila, all sorts of things."
Banner walked closer to Thor and put a hand on his shoulder, "buddy..." the man whispered sympathetically and Loki settled Roselle down so she could run over to Korg and Miek to watch them game while an adult conversation commenced. "You alright?"
Thor grinned and nodded as he shrugged, "yes, I am fine, why? Why, don't I look alright?"
"You look like melted ice cream," was Rocket's reply.
Loki, however, responded, "you look like the polar opposite of my brother fifteen years ago."
Thor laughed and shook his head, disregarding the concern in their eyes and Loki frowned as he crossed his arms, unhappy with how Thor thought about himself. "So, what's up? You just here for a hang, or what?"
Loki saw the desperation for company in Thor's eyes and longed to walk over to his brother and take him in his arms like mother used to do but Thor had started rejecting Loki's comfort two years ago.
"We need your help," Banner spoke and Loki stared at him, already deducing a theory as to why but he kept silent.
Thor looked up at Banner confused and the man continued, "there might be a chance we could fix everything."
"What, like the cable? 'cuas that's been driving me bananas for weeks," Thor asked light-heartedly and Loki sighed, rubbing his nose and sending a prayer up to the Norns for his patience. So, they wanted them back to try and bring everyone back.
"Like Thanos," Banner replied and both Loki and Thor came to a halt quickly, trauma showing on both of their faces.
The image of you smiling at him as you disappeared into dust hit him like a truck and he shook his head quickly, "no. They are dead. All of them. They are all dead- she is dead! My beloved Y/N was taken before her time! Do not come here and try to give us hope!"
"Loki-" Banner tried but Loki shook his head quickly.
"No," Loki hissed, backing away from the group while shaking his head, "they are gone! Gone and never coming back! I have had to do all of this alone! I will not lose Roselle by tampering with the past to try and get everyone back!"
"Mama?" Roselle piped up, all heads turning to look at the little girl as her eyes rested on Loki, "bring mama back?"
Loki sighed and walked over to Roselle, picking her up and rubbing her back as he kissed her temple, "she's gone, sweetie, daddy is here though... Daddy has you..."
"Loki, please, stay... We need your seiðr, your knowledge about the Infinity Stones if we are ever going to stand a chance of fighting against them again," Banner insisted and Loki shook his head, rocking Roselle.
The little girl pulled away from Loki's shoulder to look him in the eye, "why not? Might work... mama might come back..."
Loki's heart broke at her argument so he stayed and listened to what Bruce was proposing.
Thor had been silent through all of Loki's protests but now he had grabbed Banner and pulled him close, pointing at him with sobered rage, "don't say that name."
"Um, yeah, we don't actually say that name in here," Korg said, walking over to where Thor was gripping onto Bruce.
Bruce smiled at Thor and held his wrist gently as he whispered, "please take your hand off of me."
The pain in Thor's face pained Loki even more because not even he could tell how much pain Thor was going through for how many times he had thought he failed during that battle, losing half of the Aesir and then half again. Loki sighed as he cradled Roselle and tried to keep her quiet.
"Now, I know that guy might scare you," Banner began but Thor scoffed and laughed as he looked away.
"Why would I be...?" Thor asked with a shaken grin, looking over to Loki for help but the younger brother had hung his head and wasn't speaking. Still, Thor persisted, "why would I be scared of that guy? I'm the one that killed that guy, remember? Anyone else here kill that guy? Didn't think so. Korg, tell everyone who chopped Thanos' head off."
Korg shrugged and looked around the group of people, "um, Stormbreaker?"
Thor scoffed as he walked past Banner, Loki and Rocket towards the formidable weapon, "who was swinging Stormbreaker?"
Banner followed Thor and although he was avoiding eye-contact, he knew that Thor would listen to him, "look, I know you're in a rough spot, okay? I've been there myself. And you wanna know who helped me out of it?"
Thor slurred as he looked anywhere but at Banner, "uh, was it, uh, Natasha?"
Banner pointed to Thor with a sad smile on his face, "it was you. You helped me."
Thor rolled his eyes and walked away from Banner to go back to Korg, who had resumed sitting on the couch, "so why don't you ask the Asgardians down there how much my help is worth? They accept Loki as their king much more than they would ever accept me."
Loki flinched at the poison in that last statement but he didn't meet Thor's eyes when it was said. Scoffing, Thor slumped into an armchair and opened a bottle of beer, "well. The ones that are left, anyway."
"I think we could bring them back," Banner replied and Loki shook his head, tears brimming in his eyes as he imagined you coming back to him but he knew that you were dead and wouldn't be coming back to the broken family. You were dead, that was final.
Thor rolled his eyes again and grabbed some rubbish as he muttered, "stop. Stop, okay? I know you think I'm down here wallowing in my own self-pity waiting to be rescued and saved but I'm fine, okay? We're fine, aren't we?"
"Oh, we're all good here, mate!" Korg called with a smile.
"No, not good here," Loki finally spoke up, Roselle turning her face so she could be part of the conversation, "while I have been slaving down in the town, building our kingdom back up from the literal ashes of the other Asgardians that got blipped, you have been here lounging around doing nothing but drinking and eating. You are a disgrace, Thor Odinson!"
Thor's gaze landed on Loki and glared at him, "if you do not want to be here then by all means go, it's what you do anyway! Begone, Loki, you have better means of your time than looking after me."
"Thor-" Loki tried but flinched back as Thor leaned forward and imitated Odin years ago growling at him so he would bow in submission.
"No," Loki hissed, sitting Roselle on the floor to growl at Thor back, "I will not be the submissive second Prince anymore! I am the only prince! You are the King of Asgard! Father readied you for ruling but you reject is as before! Those people down there need you more than me!"
"So," Thor turned to Banner, opting to ignore his baby brother, "whatever it is that you're offering, we're not into it. Don't care. Couldn't care less. Goodbye."
Thor chuckled and waited for them to leave but Banner pressed on, "we need you, pal."
Thor raised a whiskey bottle to his lips and when he finished it off, he was ready to say no again before Rocket sighed, crossed his arms and remarked, "there is beer on the ship."
Thor threw his own bottle down onto the floor and Roselle flinched from the sound, waddling over to her daddy and hugging his leg to look around it at Thor as Thor met eyes with Rocket and asked, "what kind?"
Loki scoffed and rolled his eyes, pulling Roselle back up onto his hip and leaving the house, smiling at Valkyrie at the door, "do you mind looking after the little one? She can't come with us, it's too dangerous and I have a bad feeling."
Valkyrie nodded quickly and smiled at him, taking the squealing baby girl from her father and rocking her, "say bye bye to daddy, Rosie!"
Roselle smiled at Loki and brought her hand to her lips before blowing a kiss to him sloppily and giggling, Loki's heart melting at the gesture and he kissed her chubby cheeks with a smile, "daddy will be home soon, I promise. I love you, Rosie!"
"Love you too, daddy," Roselle grinned and then snuggled into Valkyrie's hugs and closed her eyes, "hello Auntie Val!"
Loki nodded ot Valkyrie before leading Banner and the rest of the gang as they left Thor's stingy house to get to Rocket's ship that was parked behind Thor's house. Opening the ramp, Loki stepped inside followed by Rocket and then Banner and finally, Thor. Instantly, the God went over to the beers and grabbed one. Scoffing, Loki looked away and crossed his arms while sitting down in one of the chairs and strapping himself in.
Hours later, Loki was seated at a table and looking at a board with illustrations of all the Infinity Stones. Nibbling his nail and scratching off the black polish, he watched as the other Avengers tried to explain what they were. Sighing, Loki stood from his seat and walked over to the board. Conjuring up a pen, he started with the Tesseract.
"First, you need to be correct in what you're saying before you explain things, got it?" Loki sighed, seeing as he had all of the Avenger's attention but he was pretty sure that Thor had fallen asleep, "you all know of the Tesseract. Used in my attack eleven years ago. It is basically a huge doorway that can be opened on both sides, it is the Space Stone and can imitate my World Walking ability. Except this can take you even off of the Yggdrasil if you needed."
"Next, there is the Time Stone that Dr Strange, the fake sorcerer that he was, had in his possession. This, as the name states, links with time. With this, Thanos could easily rewrite his mistakes if he loses so he can have a second go or he can look into a near future to see an outcome and can stop it," Loki explained, his seiðr drawing the Time Stone throughout his explanation.
"After that, there is the Power Stone. This was not held within the Yggdrasil so our knowledge of it is limited but it basically is what it says in the name. Power. It destroyed our escape ship easily after Thanos attacked us. Wielded by Thanos, its uses are unimaginable," Loki continued, taking a break to sip the hot chocolate that Natasha had kindly given him.
"Then there is the Reality Stone," Loki began only for Cap to turn and look at Thor.
"Wouldn't Thor be able to explain this one? Didn't his lady friend have it at one point? Thor?" Steve asked and everyone turned to look at Thor.
Loki sighed as he walked over to his brother and took the beer from his hand, pouring it over the man's face, "pay attention," he scolded.
"As you can see, he is in no state to explain. Pay attention, Thor. This is important," Loki hissed, returning to the board and sighing, "Reality Stone. Thanos can easily rewrite anything he wants with it. Think Wanda but on a much larger scale."
Looking at the Mind Stone, he looked at everyone and they gestured for him to skip it, they already knew about that one,
"Soul," Loki mumbled as he looked at the illustration his seiðr was providing, "found on Vormir. It is not widely accessible to people so it was the one hidden the best. For one to get it, the rule for it was not uttered by the survivor. Just a warning. Prepare to break your own heart and mind for the cost of a Soul."
Everybody nodded at that and Loki smiled gratefully at them before biting the tip of the pen and drawing the Infinity Gauntlet with his seiðr. "So," he began uncertainly, "where do we look in time for these gems?"
It took hours but Romanoff finally came to the perfect assumption, "guys. If you think about it, pick the right time and three Infinity Stones are in New York."
Loki looked up from his phone at photos of Roselle and Valkyrie out at sea fishing to stare at Natasha with a grin, "Romanoff, you are terrific! Why didn't I think about it?!"
"You were busy being a dad," Romanoff replied with a teasing smirk, pointing to his phone, "how is she?"
"She is... like her mother," Loki replied with a sad smile and Romanoff nodded.
"Loki, Rabbit and I will go to Asgard of 2013 to get the Reality Stone from Jane. With any luck, she'd willingly hand it over to me!" Thor grinned as he stood up and Loki cringed.
"Maybe if you took a bath, shaved and lost weight? You're not exactly Prince Thor standards anymore, brother," Loki mumbled and Thor glared at him.
So it was decided. Tony, Cap, Banner and Scott would go to New York 2012. Romanoff and Barton would go to Vormir, dropping off War Machine and Nebula in 2014 where the Power Stone was hidden. Finally, Thor, Rocket and Loki were stationed as going to Asgard.
Before they marched up onto the machine that would throw them through time, Loki pulled Thor aside and whispered, "what if this isn't right? Couldn't we go after that day? Go to Knowhere and grab it from The Collector? Thor!"
"I wouldn't worry, brother! We won't be spotted," Thor replied, handing Loki a bottle of beer before walking up onto the machine and getting in place.
Reluctantly, Loki followed him.
The machine activated and Loki was flung through time. The team split along the way but Thor, Rocket and Loki himself were brought from the Quantum Realm into Asgard of 2013. They were brought into the spacious halls of Asgard's Palace. Loki's jaw dropped and he took in the sight of his home for the first time since his mad dash through the palace after releasing Surtr.
"This was your home?" Rocket mumbled, admiring the gold through the walls and Loki figured that the raccoon was calculating how many units the gold would be worth.
Thor nodded and looked around in despair, realising exactly what day this was if the Aether was here on Asgard. Brokenly, he turned to his little brother, "Loki-"
"I know," Loki murmured, keeping the tremble from his voice expertly. He knew that because of him, Frigga would die and he would grieve her all over again.
"Make sure that the librarian gets those orders I sent to him," a voice drifted over and both Odinsons froze quickly, "he may be in the prisons but my son deserves the very best comfort."
"Yes, my Queen," one of the ladies in waiting replied and Loki's heart melted. Mother! It was mother!
As Rocket and Thor argued, Loki remained in place and watched Frigga walk by with her ladies in waiting. Still, Loki followed Thor when he tried to escape down to the wine cellar. However, Loki shifted into his female form and hid behind a pillar when he felt Frigga's seiðr closer than before. Thor, however, didn't have that sense and failed to hide from Frigga.
"What are you doing?" Frigga asked and screamed when Thor did and held her hand over her chest before sighing deeply and watching Thor step a bit away and she breathed, "you're best leaving the sneaking around to your brother!"
"Sneaking? No, no, mother! Just on a very normal stroll!" Thor replied leisurely and Frigga frowned as she took in the sight of her elder baby.
"What happened to your eye?" she asked instead of the loaded question. She saw with more than her living eyes. Her baby had suffered and her other baby was seeking comfort from her voice from afar.
As Thor rambled for an excuse, Frigga smiled and ran a finger over his untamed beard, "the future has not been kind to the both of you, has it?"
"I never said I was from the future," Thor tried as Loki stopped her own desperate cry for her mother's comfort and embrace.
"I was raised by witches, boy," Frigga whispered, smiling up at her eldest baby, "I see with more than eyes and you know that. Loki, my darling, come out. You're not as well hidden as you think."
Loki's cheeks heated as she emerged from around the pillar to look at Frigga and Thor, "I told you this was a bad idea. I asked to go somewhere else! I knew that we would get caught! But no! You insisted that mother would be with me down in the dungeons!"
"Loki," Frigga whispered, taking in the sight of her daughter with a bright smile, "my beautiful baby girl, look at you! All grown up!"
Loki let herself look at Frigga now and she bit back her tears and she trembled with the desire to go and take Frigga into her arms and never let go, "amma... I missed you."
Smiling lovingly, Frigga opened her arms to her son and daughter and her smile widened when they immediately hugged her. She delicately brushed both of their hairs with her painted nails and smiled at them.
"We have so much to say to you," Thor mumbled and Frigga nodded.
"But we don't have the time," Loki bit her lip but Frigga quickly shook her head.
The Queen of Asgard gently cupped Loki's cheek and smiled at her, "there will always be time for us to talk, Loki... come..."
They stayed with Frigga for a long while, Thor explaining what happened to him and his story before at long last, Frigga gave Loki her attention, "and you, darling? How are things with Y/N?"
Tears welled up in Loki's eyes and she shook her head quickly, "she's uh... she's gone... like the rest of the half of the population... at least our daughter was spared..."
"Daughter?" Frigga asked in surprise and Loki smiled, pulling out her phone and showing Frigga the videos of Roselle, all the key moments of her life and Frigga covered her mouth with her hand, "Norns, she looks so much like you, Loki!"
"She has her mother's personality, though," Loki mumbled, smiling at the photo of newborn Roselle, "our little Roselle Frigga Lokidottir."
Frigga cooed and brought Loki into a tight hug, rubbing her daughter's back and kissing her temple, "thank you for the honour, Loki... a grandchild with my name..."
Loki sobbed brokenly at the hug, nuzzling her head deep into Frigga's neck as she knew that this had to end. Rocket came over, demanding that they had to leave now, the sound of Einherjar chasing after him in the distance.
"Mother! There is one thing you must hear from me," Loki began but Frigga stopped him and shook her head, "It's not about your future, mama, no matter how much I want to warn you... just know that when you see me later? I don't mean what I say... I love you so much, mummy, the years by your side were the happiest I ever felt. You are my mother, my friend and the woman that raised me... I will miss you but... I promise you that I will raise Roselle just as you raised me..."
Frigga's eyes gleamed with tears at the speech and Loki pressed a button on her watch, the time suit wrapping around her form quickly. She clung onto Frigga for a while longer, just enjoying the last of her warmth as Thor summoned Mjolnir and laughed in disbelief at the discovery that he was still worthy. Reluctantly pulling away from Frigga, Loki kissed her cheek and bowed to her before disappearing through time.
Back on the landing pad of the time machine, Loki dropped to her knees and quickly wiped away her tears as she looked around at everyone but faltered when she saw how haunted Barton looked and noted that Romanoff wasn't there.
"Clint? Where's Nat?" Banner asked but everyone else already knew the answer.
Standing brokenly, Loki walked off the landing pad and went out into the small courtyard to get some air. Breathing in deeply, Loki delved into her seiðr and conjured up the illusion of Frigga and her dancing when she was little. Sinking to her knees, she watched sadly as Frigga twirled little Loki in circles with a bright smile on her face, Thor joining in seconds later.
"it is unwise to be alone at a time like this, brother," Thor spoke as he sat down beside Loki and wrapped his arm around Loki's shoulder, "talk to me."
Loki looked over at Thor and smiled sadly at him, "I miss her. I miss being free to love her... to see her every day... It hurts so much to be away from her, knowing she's alive at some point on the timeline..."
"It's not wise to mess with time more than we have, Loki, or I would have gone back too," Thor mumbled and Loki nodded solemnly. Distantly, he realised that Thor was not drinking alcohol, rather the non-alcoholic version of beer and Loki smiled, knowing Frigga had gotten through to him.
"I wasn't lying, I will raise Rosie like mother raised me... I'll make sure that she is never judged for her abilities or her birth skin..." Loki whispered and Thor ruffled her hair with a smile.
"That's the Loki from fifteen years ago!" Thor grinned and Loki's cheeks reddened as she looked away.
They stayed in silence after that, Thor sometimes asking for an illusion of a memory and they happily watched it but other than that, they remained in silence.
"You guys!" Scott called from the door, "we made the Gauntlet! Get in here!"
Loki and Thor quickly got to their feet and walked into the lab with Scott. Biting his lip, Loki stared at the gauntlet and shuddered, "Norns, you did it!"
Stark grinned and looked over at Loki, "you sound so surprised, Morgana."
Loki scoffed and smirked at Stark before stepping away and conjuring up her usual armour, forming a shield around her to protect her from the shockwave.
"Now we just need to figure out who will snap," Rhodey commented and Thor stepped up.
"I'll do it!" he offered and the team all eyed him nervously.
Loki sighed and held Thor's arm gently, "no, brother, you were not meant for that. Rosie needs her Uncle Thor. Banner? Gamma radiation sounds like you."
Banner looked over at him and nodded, "yeah... it's kinda symbolic, right? Alright... I'll do it."
Everyone got behind some sort of shield, no-one noticing Nebula leaving the room before lockdown protocol was activated and Banner put the gauntlet on, dropping to his knees in an instant from the pain.
Watching him scream, Loki yelled out, "take it off! take it off, we'll try something else!"
"No, no, I got this!!" Banner yelled, raising his hand and snapping his fingers. He dropped backwards and Stark rushed forward to get the Gauntlet off of him and ice over the skin.
There was silence in the room after that and Clint brokenly asked, "did it work?"
Suddenly, he got a call on his phone and went out to answer it. Next, Loki's phone lit up with your ID and she choked up on her tears as she answered. She didn't know what to say, this had to be a dream!
"Loki? Are you there? Where did you go? Loki?" your voice called and a while left Loki's throat as she dropped to her knees. Hearing her reaction, you raised your eyebrow, "Loki? Princess?"
"I'm coming to you-" Loki was interrupted by a loud explosion as missiles hit the campus. The floor below her collapsed and she was knocked out from the debris falling onto her head. The last thing he heard was you calling out his name.
"-ki? -oki? Loki?! LOKI?!" A voice called out in the distant and Loki wanted to ignore it and stay in the peace and quiet of her mind before she remembered what had happened and she groaned loudly, glowing with seiðr before teleporting to the top of the rubble where Thor was digging.
"LOKI!" Thor yelled, pulling Loki into his arms and sobbing, "I thought- oh, brother, I'm so glad you're alright!"
"What, by the Nine, happened?!" Loki yelled and then he looked around the rubble and froze when he saw Thanos sitting down beside his sword and helmet and her blood went cold. "never mind, world wrecker at four o'clock."
Loki stayed behind initially as Stark, Captain America and Thor went down to fight Thanos. When worst came to worst, he jumped in and saved Thor from being stabbed by Thanos's sword. Green seiðr shimmered around the blade and Thanos trained his attention on Loki.
"Ah," the titan whispered with a smirk, "the traitorous Loki. Tell me, how is your family? Your daughter?"
Loki smirked and shook his head, "you will not make me fall for that again!"
Mjolnir whirled into his hand and Loki smirked as he ran up to Thanos and hit him square in the jaw with the mighty hammer and he smirked as the hammer lit up with green lightning. The battle commenced and Loki dodged the attack that Thanos threw at his head, sliding on his knees under the arm and sending a blast of green seiðr up into Thanos's stomach, sending him backwards.
Breathing heavily, Loki conjured up his helm and the traditional Asgardian battle armour in his signature colours of gold and green. The holsters on his hips held his dagger and he threw Mjolnir into the air and grinned at Thanos as he slashed the daggers, allowing his Jötunn heritage through and stabbed the daggers into the floor, freezing the ground around Thanos's feet.
Mjolnir landed back in Loki's hand and he threw it directly at Thanos's head, missing the target a bit below on the collar bone. Thanos was sent flying across the battlefield and Loki turned around to see people coming through orange portals and he grinned as he walked up to them.
"LOKI!!" came the scream from the Wakandan portal and Loki yelled with joy when he saw you bounding towards him and he held his arms open for you, laughing when you jumped into his arms and sealed his lips in a deep kiss.
Loki cupped your cheek and held you tight to his body as he sobbed, holding you close to him as he slowly pulled away from your lips. Resting his forehead against yours, he laughed in disbelief as he rubbed up your back, "you're alive... you're really here!"
You nodded and stroked his cheek gently as you held him close to you, gently running your fingers over his cuts and bruises before carding your fingers through his raven locks. "Where's Roselle? Where's our baby girl?"
"Rosie is safe," Loki replied with a smile, "I left her in the hands of the Asgardians... I promise you, she's safe."
You nodded and kissed his nose, "ready to battle for what is right?"
Loki smirked cheekily and winked at you, "with you by my side? Always!"
You grinned and pulled him into a kiss again and swayed side to side as you reunited. After a few moments you pulled away and Loki raised his hand for Mjolnir and it slammed into his hand, "Avengers!!" He called with a smirk, "assemble!"
With a cry, all of the assembled Avengers advanced on Thanos's army and Loki led them with his hand in yours, united at last.

heimdall's the perfect option to be king, he lead them when they're trying to escape hela and thor was locked out of asgard. Valkyrie lead what was left of their people safely to earth while thor forged an axe to defeat thanos. She returned to asgard despite losing faith on the throne because thor asked her and showed her that she was part of it. She's woking on her anger issues, she stopped drinking, she's responsible but flawed. I have a name for those who don't like a black woman being king
Okay, firstly: I recongize that race is an extremely important and sensitive topic and that unconscious bias plays into things and it sucks. Being anti-racisit is extremely important to me, and if that's what you feel is going on here, then please feel free to further that discussion.
However, I don't think that wanting Valkyrie's struggles and flaws to be explored further is racist. Nor not liking those flaws. Being a slave trader is an extremely delicate place for a character to be and it needs to be handled right in order for people to like the character (like 99% of the time this means acknowledging the slave trade and then rejecting it), and they never went into that level of depth with Valkyrie. To be clear, I haven't seen Thor 4, so maybe they did, but from what mcu I have seen and what's been discussed of Thor 4, they never explored Valkyrie in a way that mattered to me. If you transplant Valkyrie's character onto a cis white male and you still go "wow, I Do Not like this character because of these problems" then it showcases where the heart of the problem is: not her race, but her lack of development.
I know that on the post you're referencing race was never brought up because no one who doesn't like Valkyrie I've interacted with cares that she's Black. It's mostly that she's severely underdeveloped. I've seen a lot of people discuss how much they don't like that a Black woman was portrayed as a slave trader and it was never brought up again post Ragnarok. And I think that's fair.
I don't know if Valkyrie stopped drinking. I can't remember if that was ever discussed, but if she did, and they actually explored her recovery from alcoholism, I think that would be amazing. I think that Valkyire has the potential to be an amazing king, but I would like to see her struggle with her flaws more, rather than being Another Perfect Female Character TM. Like if they had written Valkyire as a Mary sue that would be fine, I don't care, but she's so clearly deeply flawed and I just. I don't know. I wish they'd done more with her. So much more. There is so much depth to explore with Valkyire and people just like looking at that surface rather than exploring it.
So no, I don't think Valkyire was the worst choice as a monarch, but she would have been the best choice if we were shown her growth. Right now the fact she became king isn't earned, it just happened, which is why people are mad.
And you're right, Heimdall would make an excellent king. He's an amazing ruler. Sif would be an awful queen because she's so hot headed and doesn't long term think anything. Tyr would be a great choice, too. As a war general, I think he would have been great at the pollicitcs. Or. Idk. Thor. Abdicating from the throne is actually extremely selfish and I hate Thor a little for that.
Like from a story telling perspective, they picked Valkyire because she was a character everyone knew and not dead, not what pollicitcally made sense. If they'd actually explored in depth what this meant, with Valkyire's flaws, then idk. I don't think anyone would have any complaints. You gotta address the Bad parts of characters.

𝕷𝖔𝖗𝖊/𝖘𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖘: ~The most renowned of the Norse goddesses. She ruled over love, fertility, battle, and death, as well as witches and magic in general. Her father was Njord; a sea god, and either Nerthus or Skadi. She was a beautiful goddess. -She traveled on a chariot lead by two cats and after they had served her for 7 years, she rewarded them by turning them into witches. -There once was a follower of Frey that lived in Midgard. He was an orphan names Ottar. He was very pious towards Freya and built a shrine of stone, a horgr/hearg (a type of altar or cult site, possibly consisting of a heap of stones), and made many offerings to her. The orphan had build a life for himself; with a plot of land- despite his upbringing. However- people began moving in on his land, and with his little to no connections he couldn't do much. Ottar was honest, wise, generous, and brave in the face of danger. One day, when he returned to his home, next to his altar -there stood Freya. She suggested he go with him on an adventure to Asgard. The awestruck Ottar simply nodded in agreement, and in an instant- Freya turned him into a ferocious looking boar with golden fur (quite similar to her brothers boar) On the way to Asgard, Freya stopped by and demanded that Volva -a sorceress- tell them of Ottar's ancestry. As the sorceress explains, Ottar was descended from noblemen, kings, and even gods. After spending a day in Asgard, dinning with the gods, they returned the Midgardian to his home. He lived an adventurous life from then on, before dying and going to Valhalla to dine with the gods once again.
-She was extremely drawn to the forge of the four dwarves named; Dvalinn, Alfrik, Berling, and Grer. She sees them making the finest necklace she'd ever seen, and is immediately filled with desire for the object. She offers them silver and gold for it but the dwarves refuse. They say that they will give it to her in exchange for each of them to get a night with her. The necklace was gorgeous, gleamed like the sun and called to her same as Mjollnir to Thor, both symbolizing her and embodying her power- so the goddess agreed. -She has a falcon feather coat -basically same as Frigg's- that allows the wearer to fly (usually as a falcon) this coat gets borrowed by Loki multiple times.

Warrior Women!
NO. 1
Many women were able to fight in battles, defend their kingdoms, and take up leadership roles, titled ‘warrior women,’ throughout the centuries. Their stories are inspiring and motivational for women everywhere to continue to be independent, strong, and courageous. The Dahomey Amazons were a real-life all-female warrior militia that existed from the 17th century to the 19th in the kingdom of Dahomey, today Benin of West Africa. They resulted from the male population facing high casualties from war and frequent violence from neighboring West African states, and the king at the time, King Houegbadja, implemented them. They called themselves the Mino, meaning ‘Our Mothers,’ in the Fon language, and were recruited as young as eight. Some voluntarily enrolled, while others involuntarily by their fathers or fathers. The Dahomey women warriors earned their reputation as fierce warriors, often earning the praise of enemies that they defeated in battle.
Tumblr media
NO. 2
For the Greeks, they had the Amazonians; several tales from Greek mythology have been written about them. They were raised to fight from birth, where they would defeat and kidnap male warriors and keep them as enslaved peoples, mated with them, and kept their daughters raised as Amazons while having their sons be returned to their fathers. In one tale, the fight against the mythical Heracles, where one of his labors was to obtain the girdle from queen Hippolyte, the queen of the Amazons. They weren’t just mythical though; they were just real as well. Many burial sites revealed that ‘‘In the grasslands of inner Asia, from the Black Sea to western China, Scythian women had the same skills as their men: wielding bows, riding and herding animals, fighting – and dying from their injuries. Their remains have been found in tomb mounds from Crimea to western China.’’
Tumblr media
NO. 3
The Valkyries were the Norse equivalent of female warriors, who, in mythology, guide the souls of the noblest of the dead to Valhall. Many famous poems and Eddas are centered around these famous warriors of Odin, king of the gods. Still, we’re not talking about mythology but actual female Viking warriors. In 2019, archaeologists uncovered the remains of a decorated female warrior from the 10th century, proving women held high-status positions in Viking culture. ‘‘Several weapons were buried alongside the body, including a sword, armor-piercing arrows, a battle knife, an axe, a spear, and two shields, indicating that the skeleton was likely that of a warrior. Accompanying the wide array of weapons were two horses, a full set of game pieces, and a gaming board. The gaming pieces suggest that the person buried was a high-ranking combatant who was knowledgeable of strategies and tactics.’’

Black Clover chapter 359 reaction and spoilers
I can’t imagine what Nozel is going through here. His mom is a Paladin, his squad is in shambles, and two out of three younger siblings are just as traumatized by it as he is and he’s got to be strong enough to deal with it. At the same time, let him suffer a bit for all the BS he’s caused to Noelle.
Love Noelle’s entrance here. This is going to be so fun when the anime returns.
I really like Noelle reconnecting with Kahono though we are definitely speed running it as per usual with Tabata’s very concise writing. I was curious since he’s starting putting her on equal foot with Yuno and Asta what special creature she might obtain. I love that it’s a sea dragon. Because if you think about it from a Pokemon perspective, Noelle’s gone from being rather ineffective with her magic (Magickarp) to becoming a powerhouse with just as much potential to become a Wizard King as the boys have (Gyrados). Love this for her.
I like the general concept of the Valkyrie Armor Dragon Dress outfit, but I’d like to see it be a bit more armor. But that’s how I felt about the mermaid form too, and this is definitely an evolution from the mermaid form in terms of fashion. Also great to see Noelle get a comparable page spread to the ones we’ve seen from Asta and Yuno previously in the arc so far. Really hoping the three of them get to team up together for the grand finale of this arc.
Super excited for next week.

Thor: Love and Thunder Review
A superhero movie dropped this past weekend about a protagonist with godlike powers. I don't plan on viewing it until it reaches digital or a streaming service. So let's talk about the other superhero movie with a protagonist with godlike powers that dropped earlier this year: "Thor: Love and Thunder"!
"Thor: Love and Thunder" is the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU has been running for about fourteen years now, and it doesn't seem like slowing down any time soon. Along with the nine Marvel shows on Disney+, I understand how some people are experiencing Marvel fatigue. Personally, I'm not. I've enjoyed most of the projects they put out, some more than others. "Thor: Love and Thunder" is a movie I liked, but I understand how some are not fans of it.
"Love and Thunder" follows Thor on a quest for inner peace. While trying to find himself, his journey gets interrupted by Gorr, the God Butcher, who's wandering around and murdering gods. With the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and his ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, they look to combat the threat of Gorr. It was nice to see Korg, Valkyrie, and Thor again since Avengers: Endgame. Korg and Valkyrie were some of the best parts in the last Thor movie, Ragnarok, and while their roles were smaller in Endgame, they were still enjoyable. Meanwhile, Thor's been coming off the heels of a fascinating character arc that started with Ragnarok. The directions Thor could go were seemingly limitless at the end of Endgame. And the return of Jane Foster after not seeing her on-screen since "Thor: The Dark World" provided intrigue. Almost a decade since Natalie Portman starred in a Marvel movie. She finally made a grand return.
And for the most part, I liked Jane in this film. One of my favorite scenes in the movie has to be when Korg narrates Thor and Jane's relationship, showing how close they were before drifting apart and eventually breaking up. I thought the execution was well done, from showing the gradual separation to Korg's endearing narration. She had some corny dialogue, like telling Gorr to "Eat my hammer" in the climactic fight, but I don't believe that completely derailed her character, though corniness seems prevalent throughout the movie. Comedy can be subjective, of course. Some will find "Love and Thunder" hilarious, but I feel it falls flat in that aspect. In the beginning, Thor saves an alien race, and in return, they gift him two goats that are always screaming. Screaming goats were uproariously funny to me ten years ago when mixed with songs like Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," but not as much these days. The jealousy Thor's Stormbreaker feels over Thor fawning over Mjolnir or Jane doesn't do much for me, either.
But to focus on a positive, Christian Bale's performance as Gorr is an entertaining romp! The opening scene is an emotional and exciting start. Bale is excellent in the shadow realm as well. In general, everything that happens in the shadow realm is a plus. Thor, Valkyrie, and Jane infiltrate the world before engaging the antagonist in a duel head-on in black and white, contrasting all the pretty colors that pop out in the numerous scenes that came out beforehand, providing the best setpiece in the film. What the movie lacks in comedy, it does make up for in engaging fight scenes. The climax is another exercise in corniness, what with the children joining the fight, but it's a cute watch nonetheless. By the end of the film, Thor is in an intriguing place, just like he was in "Endgame," and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Thor in the future.
It's better than the first two Thor movies, but I definitely wouldn't put it above "Ragnarok." They knocked it out of the park with "Ragnarok," and maybe we put expectations too high for "Love and Thunder" to be just as good, if not better. It's not. But it's still pretty good. 3.5/5

MOVIE RECOMMANDATION #8
It's been a month since I went to see the film THOR - LOVE AND THUNDER at the cinema. I had written two articles to say how excited I was to see this film. I sincerely expected it and for several reasons. Feel free to read my articles where I detail these reasons, but to put it simply I was impatient for the return of Natalie Portman in the role of Jane Foster. Also, I hoped that Thor was well highlighted.
When I left the film, I was happy, because despite the film's flaws and the end of the story, I was satisfied. I was therefore very touched by the negative reactions that there were almost everywhere on social networks, and this suggests that it is healthier to talk about it around you than on a screen.
Yet on Tumblr, I noticed a sense of discussion and nuance that isn't always there on YouTube. I've seen several posts about these YouTubers smoking each other for movie reviews. No doubt they are qualified to speak, but it's true that in general I was upset by the negative way people had to talk about this film.
In all honesty, it's one of the most creative and innovative Marvel movies, very different from the rest. Of course, I understand that it could not have pleased some people.
The opinion that I write is therefore purely subjective. My review contains some spoilers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. The STORY, the TONE, the VISUAL
First let's talk about the story of the film. Set after Avengers - Endgame (2019), Thor - Love and Thunder tells how Thor regains control of his destiny, first with the help of the Guardians of the Galaxy, then with his friend Korg and the "King" Valkyrie. Together they will face Gorr the Slaughterer of the Gods and they will be joined by the Mighty Thor, that is to say Jane Foster, Thor's ex.
The story is really interesting, rhythmic, and there are many fight scenes. Visually, the film is magnificent, in particular thanks to the sets and the costumes which immerse us in universes that really very different from usual. I particularly liked the black and white part, something you don't see much of in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In terms of costumes, I particularly enjoyed seeing Thor have new armor, with gold and blue he seemed godly, I love his cape with fur, and I would have liked to see more of his helmet. There are a lot of outfit changes, and Valkyrie also has new armor. The outfit of the Mighty Thor is close to that which Jane wears in the comics, and her wig, although sometimes artificial, was successful. As for Gorr, he could have been a little scarier. On the other hand, the other gods are all very well dressed. I regret that Lady Sif, whom we see with her outfit close to that of the comics, is rarely seen on screen.
Several spectators regretted the too rapid presence of the Guardians of the Galaxy. I share this feeling but I find that, even if they could have had more lines of dialogue, they are satisfactory.
It is true that we must speak of the fact that the humor is very present in the film. I myself sometimes found that there were too many. Honestly I laughed a lot, several jokes, even those that are repeated, are really successful. Others are not, because there is also humor when it is not necessary. It is surely a defect, but that did not prevent me from following the film. I certainly come to the cinema to discover and appreciate a work, but I also want to have a good time and I find that Thor - Love and Thunder is an excellent way to go from laughter to tears.
I was amazed to see children being so prominent (child Asgardians are captured by demonic creatures commanded by Gorr the Godslayer). I admit that I did not expect to see children killing monsters during the final battle, and even less to see in a Marvel movie a little girl dressed up as Princess Aurora. And I say that when Princess Aurora is one of my favorite Disney characters!😂 In fact, there was really a desire to make this film an understandable adventure for children, which is scary but at the same time laughs and cry.
The main theme of the film is love in all its forms but beyond that there is also the theme of Divinity. On the one hand Thor learns to remain a god while he is far from Asgard, on the other Jane Foster becomes a goddess but must keep her humanity. As for Gorr, he becomes a divine being capable of killing gods. It was very interesting to create relationships between the gods and those who pray to them. Indeed, in the Marvel universe the Norse gods are supposed to be extraterrestrial beings revered by humans because of their very powerful powers. Far from being a simple addition to the Marvel universe, the film Thor - Love and Thunder allows you to explore new facets of Thor.
This film, in terms of plot, manages to remind us of past events, thanks to Korg which is actually aimed at viewers who might have forgotten things about Thor and his entourage. If I sometimes found it too explanatory, it had the merit of making this film one of the Marvels that can be seen without having seen the previous ones. In this, the scene of the play in New Asgard is very funny, in the continuity of what had taken place in Thor - Ragnarok, the previous part of THOR.
The film is full of more or less subtle cameos and references, this establishes a continuity with the previous films, and this leads me to talk about a new theme: the characters.
Tumblr media
2. THE CHARACTERS
Thor, Jane Foster, Valkyrie and Gorr form the main quartet of this film. So I'm going to start with them.
THOR: In the Marvel universe, I find Thor interesting but it's especially his universe that fascinates me. Thor represents faith, he is a god and a prince, so inevitably the hour so ridiculous at times can seem shameful. Indeed, the Thor of the first two films was dignified, and despite having funny moments he was never shown as a dumb man. Here, he has hasty thoughts and does not always show himself to be a convincing leader. However, he is a protective, generous, really strong man, obviously his dilemmas make him touching. The fact that he is trying to find his place is moving.
The problem with this Thor is that he's sometimes a little too paradoxical for his own good. We are shown that he had several love stories but his seductive character is not highlighted. We are shown that he would like to have children but he sometimes acts like a child himself. We are shown that he is in mourning but he evokes too little what the loss of loved ones represents (even if I appreciate that he got tattooed with the names of the people who died and whom he misses). He is shown to be worthy to fight for Asgard but he doesn't even seem to be missed by the Asgardians. His relationship with Mjolnir and Stormbreaker was awkward at times. Many find that he was more dignified and regal in the first two films, but it is true that we felt that the actor was not having much fun and just wanted to laugh. Here it is, and it manages to stay noble.
JANE FOSTER: Like the other characters in the film, Jane Foster is a success. Undoubtedly the greatest of the film. Well, I admit, the fact that she is one of my favorite Marvel characters contributes to it. I love the saga of his adventures in comics, and I admit that his story is a little too fast. However, Jane offers very beautiful scenes full of emotions. I very much enjoyed seeing her best friend Darcy Lewis (played by Kat Denning) and Erik Selvigg (played by Stellan Skarsgard) again even though their scene was quick and they didn't see Thor.
In the Marvel movies, Jane Foster is an astrophysicist instead of a nurse and that adds something. She is shown to be intelligent, and her battle with cancer makes her a strong woman. Made powerful by obtaining the magic hammer Mjolnir of which she makes herself worthy, Jane Foster become Mighty Thor participates actively in the story. She has a real personality, funny and endearing and I liked her relationship with Valkyrie as well as her way of fighting.
VALKYRIE: She was the character I was looking forward to the most. We learn too little about her in Thor - Ragnarok and she is too little present in Avengers 4. So I really wanted to see this character fleshed out. Already, she has become "King" (I really don't appreciate that she is given a masculine title, as if a woman had to be a man to reign), and to see her with her sense of responsibility is interesting, especially since she did everything to make New Asgard attractive. We really have the impression of seeing the interference of Disney here because New Asgard is very much thought of Disneyland.
Valkyrie is funny, fights well, and has good chemistry with Thor, Jane, and Korg, but the biggest lie in the movie was making us think she was going to go looking for her Queen. That's what the director said. However, if it is good to hear that Valkyrie likes women (even if I don't know if she is bi or lesbian, nothing in the film makes that sure and certain), I would have liked her to find the love. The film in general is about love, but it simply evokes a former lover, who died in battle with the Valkyries. I loved the moment when she kisses the hand of a Greek goddess! It was so unexpected and funny. I really hope that Valkyrie continues to be important in MCU.
KORG: A character that I didn't like that much, funny but not always useful. Friend of Thor met in the arenas of Sakaar, Korg is a stone man, supposed to be gay in the comics. Here, we finally learn that he is gay, and the film adds the fact that he was born of two men. In this, his relationship with Valkyrie was interesting. I wish his encounter with Dawyne needed more explanation, and I can't wait to see Korg with his lover and son.
ZEUS: Appearing on some movie posters due to the actor who plays him (Russel Crowe), Zeus is the king of the Greek gods, but here he is the king of all the gods. Funny and cruel at the same time, very sexual and surrounded by men as if to remind him of his bisexuality, he is caricatural but allows a contrast with Thor, who seems more dignified. Their meeting explores the fact that it is said that we should not meet our idols, and I regret that he is not more involved in the story of the film. At the end of the film, we see his son Prince Hercules arrive, and I don't find the actor very similar to the Prince Hercules of the comics. Knowing that Hercules is sometimes a rival sometimes a close friend of Thor, I can't wait to discover their meeting.
GORR: The villain of the film is excellent. He has a very moving story, a fight that we can understand, funny and terrifying scenes at the same time, and unlike the previous antagonists of Thor, he seeks to understand his victim. Certainly he is terrifying but I would have liked, like many people, to see more of him. We are made to understand that he is threatening but we see too few fights with him, whereas seeing him kill gods could have shown us how dangerous he is. Apart from that, as I said, he is funny and endearing, we understand his fight and he still manages to scare people several times.
In the failed characters, I regret that Lady Sif makes her return to the MCU in such a rushed way. She hasn't been seen since Thor - The Dark World so we've had plenty of time to forget her, and her return is happening too quickly. I was hoping she would be in couple with Valkyrie, that would have make sense to me. We don't even feel the connection between her and Thor anymore when she's supposed to be his best friend (his lover in the comics).
As for Astrid, Heimdall's son, he's funny but he appears as if we were supposed to know him when we didn't even know that Heimdall had a wife and a son. The story around him wanting to be called Axl has been seen by some as a form of trans identity but for me he just wants to change his first name.
3. JANE AND THOR'S RELATIONSHIP
In Thor - Love and Thunder, Jane Foster, Thor's lover, return in the MCU. We had learned in the course of a discussion in THOR 3 that they had broken up, but we did not know the circumstances. That relationship might not have returned to the MCU, but it turns out that Thor and Jane's romantic relationship not only held significance for Asgard, but also for Thor's character development. Indeed, he grew up with his love for Jane, and their relationship has a real impact on the god. In the comics, when she becomes Thor, he takes a long time to learn who she is, because her appearance as a tall blonde goddess contrasts with her cancerous appearance. Here, she is not bald and skinny, and Thor recognizes her immediately despite her different hair color.
Jane had a comeback that was certain considering she's even been part of the Avengers for a long time and dated Sam Wilson when he was the new Captain America. Their relationship did not mark the spirits more than that but it offered interesting possibilities because it was unexpected. If in the comics Thor and Jane don't get back together, here they do. It's what I was hoping for, because in addition to the explanation of their breakup, we see flashbacks of their relationship and understand that they are supposed to have spent time together since Thor - The Dark World. In Avengers - Age of Ultron, Thor even mentions Jane winning awards for her work as an astrophysicist, which is shown onscreen here.
Jane therefore has an existence of her own and does not need Thor to exist. What makes her admirable and worthy is her combativeness, even if it is not brutal.
The fact that she gets back in a relationship with Thor and that they are shown as the great love for each other was a real achievement. The scene where he tells her that it's her love that made him worthy of Mjolnir made me scream with joy because that's what I always thought and many told me that I was exaggerating when I said that . It is true that the first two films on Thor took more time to establish the complicity between the two characters, but here what is shown is the fact that they know each other well and that their rapprochement is natural and obvious.
⛔ ⚠️ IMPORTANT SPOILER: Jane's death in Thor's arms, in addition to Jane's sacrifice, the fact that she dies of her cancer. I cried. I cried a lot. I cried because I wish we could continue to see Jane and that seems unlikely to me now. In the comics, she comes back to life and she even becomes the new Valkyrie. It seems unlikely to happen in the movies because there's already a Valkyrie and also because Jane's death was so beautiful and emotional that bringing her back to life could ruin the beauty of that sacrifice. I still would have liked to see her fight with the Avengers, but hey, that's life.
Finally, it's this very sad ending that makes the film very powerful in terms of emotions, it contrasts with all the colors and lights in the film, the joyful and funny scenes even in the middle of the fight. Jane's death is not taken lightly by New Asgard who are grateful to her for her sacrifice. I still wanted to see the reactions of Darcy Lewis and Erik Selvigg to the death of their friend. The post-credits scene where Jane arrives in Valhalla and is greeted by Heimdall was very moving and funny, and close to the comics. This hints at a possible return of Jane, obviously, but it was mostly a last way to honor her. ⛔⚠️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. ACTORS and ACTRESSES
Chris Hemsworth is really involved in this film, we feel that he wanted to put a lot of himself in his role which will have launched his career. The fact that he has built up a lot of muscle for this role attests to this. The scene where we see his ass and his cock is very funny but since it already appears in the trailer there is less of a surprise effect. Sometimes I really felt like I was seeing Chris Hemsworth and not Thor. But that was mostly an impression I got when I saw Chris Pratt play Star-Lord: he wasn't as funny as usual. Moreover, the scene where he faces Thor before saying goodbye to him suggests that Thor is in fact bisexual, whereas it is Star-Lord who is in the comics.
It was funny how many of Chris Hemsworth's relatives appeared in the film. His wife plays a werewolf, their daughter plays Gorr's daughter, Luke Hemsworth plays a comedian from Asgard who has the role of Thor. This helps to make it a family film. Matt Damon still stars as a comedian playing Loki, and Sam Neill does Odin. Russell Crowe was funny but caricatural it's true.
Taika Waititi plays well, but he's still just funny and has few really moving scenes. Natalie Portman is much more in-depth and she is very highlighted. Of all the actors it is undoubtedly the best, but we must speak of Christian Bale. The actor who plays Gorr is brilliant. Christian Bale is unrecognizable and he has some truly excellent moments.
5. THE BEST AND THE WORST OF THE FILM
✅ THE BEST
The Thor-Jane couple
The story of Jane, the evolution of the character who becomes a heroine
The sets and costumes
The music that gives an atmosphere close to the 1990s
An adventure that gives joy of living
The theme of love which is well highlighted in several forms: romantic love (Thor with Jane, Korg with Dwayne), friendly love (the Thor-Jane-Valkryrie-Korg quartet, the Guardians of the Galaxy, ...), filial love (Gorr and his daughter, Heimdall and Axl/Astrid,...)
Gorr's character
New-Asgard seems really cool.
References to the previous movies.
The fact that Korg and Valkyrie's sexualité is well shown.
❌ THE WORST:
a film that should have been longer to show more cruelty on Gorr's part but above all better develop the characters
Bad use Gods and Goddesses in Omnipotiencia City
The Guardians of the Galaxy who are of no use
The expedited return of Lady Sif
A humor that is far too present (Thor's relationship with Mjolnir was sometimes awkward)
The abscence of Darcy and Erik Selvigg at the end of the movie
Did you go see this movie? Are you interested? If you ever want to discuss it, feel free to do so in the comments or by reblogging this article. 😊

RECOMMENDATION D'UN FILM #8
THOR - LOVE AND THUNDER (2022)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
