Sorry but everyone in this show has a body count so ppl being like “I liked Karli until she blew up that building with GRC soldiers in” and then are fine with Sharon taking out a load of bounty hunters this episode and calling her badass.

The GRC is definitely not a good organisation - the propaganda video at the beginning of the episode plus Bargain Basement Cap running around with GRC soldiers in Munich points to this. Karli is running around stealing things to feed kids who are hungry and give medicines to treat the sick whilst the GRC sits on 6 months worth of food supplies. Like if you’re fine with the “heroes” body count against the “bad guys” then think about how “good” is an organisation that is leaving camps full of blip refugees to die of disease and go hungry. Karli is just working outside of who we are told to see as the “good guys”

TFAWS Ep 5: where do I even begin with! Dont wanna spoil it for anyone but possible spoilers ahead so steer clear if u havent watched it yet. I think its all coming into place for the finale. It just forks me up so much that I gotta wait another week for the finale. Read somewhere that Seb Stan is ready to appear for a season two; fingers crossed let that happen. Walker got what he deserved. He should seek therapy but he aint gonna do that; heck😒. Outstanding performance by #Wyatt Russell. Sam and Bucky my poor boys being there for each other🥺. They do be doing their best and good to see Torres back. Missed him in last 2 episodes. Sam is so full to the brim with compassion and empathy I cant even😩. Steve was always compassionate and empathetic I guess but in the 2 hour rush of MCU movies I never really noticed it I guess. And Zemo I thought he had gone back to his Civil War-istic self which I hated but seems like it was brief. Isiah's bit was touching and important. Over all great episode. Excited for the finale. Hope its not a rushed end like Wanda Vision.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier Episode 3: Power Broker Review

It's April 2nd, and it's Good Friday here in our country and one of the good things about today is I'm on time off at work and have enough time to watch TFATWS's newest episode. As the show reaches the halfway point of its sixth-episode arc, this one felt like watching Joss Whedon's version of the Justice League movie crammed into one episode. I'm not complaining, but simply an observation.

The show started introducing the Global Repatriation Council, an entity within MCU abbreviated as the GRC that reactivated status and managed resources for refugees displaced by the Having this Marvel Disney+ series gave us a glimpse of the things happening within MCU that can't be highlighted in a limited movie screen time. In Spider-Man Far Away From Home, we were shown how a little of how The Blip affected the world, and luckily in WandaVision, we've seen how chaotic it was. This time, we've seen an organization doing something for what they called Blip refugees - offer assistance. But the Flag Smashers vision is different as they prefer things the way it was during the Blip.

In the next few scenes, we see our new Captain America aka John  Walker in a van under GRC. Yes, he has the shield and the branding, but he still struggles to be the new icon that is Captain America. They raided a place where they had a lead on the Flag Smashers where about, however, John Walker failed to get an answer. What he got was a loyal man who believes the Flag Smasher more than our newly appointed hero. He got a spit in the face to. John John Walker was so desperate that in a short span of time, he wanted to take action, ignoring the ways and simply want to provide results. Steve Roger did have a fair share of being rogue in the Civil War, but his instincts was more likely right and grounded.

Sam and Bucky on the other hand went to see Zemo as they were desperate for answers. Zemo tried reciting the word code for the Winter Soldier though he knows it won't work anymore. Bucky told Zemo about the recreation of the new super-soldier serum and he wants to know if he had any idea. Since Zemo is against the super-soldier idea, Bucky helped him escaped the prison in a very stylish way without Sam's knowledge and approval. When it was revealed to Sam he was reluctant to the idea but Bucky mentioned how supportive he was with Steve.

The trio, Sam, Bucky and Zemo rode a private plane to an island nation in the Indonesian archipelago called the Madripoor. It was a pirate sanctuary in the 1800's and have kept its lawless ways until the present. Introducing Madripoor in the MCU hypes up the fans since in the comics, Wolverine and Captain America first met here and teamed up. So little by little, Marvel are laying the groundwork for the mutants official arrival.

As a Filipino, I am proud to hear Shanti Dope's Amatz played in the background. His music vibe fits the scene. Also, according to Marvel Database, the major languages in Madripoor are, English, French & Filipino. Now that's a trivia - "sobrang natural walang halong kemikal".

In Madripoor, they learned about the Power Broker and how the new super-soldier serum started. They met Sharon Carter, who became an outcast and found refuge in this city. They were able to find the lab and Dr. Wildred Nagel, who was heavily involved in the recreation of the super-soldier serum. Initially, Nagel works for Hydra, but after its fall the CIA recruits him to continue his works but was dusted out by the Blip. Upon his return, he offered his knowledge to the Power Broker and the latter funded his works until Karli Morgenthau stole the vials.

There's a lot of action sequences from this scene. We see Sharon Carter move like a female John Wick. Baron Zemo killed Nagel maybe to end, the knowledge of the super-soldier serum and also he wore his signature mask and it's pretty dope. Bucky and Sam as usual, showcasing their on-screen chemistry even in the middle of a fight. According to Sharon, it was one hell of a reunion and indeed it was.

As they fled Madripoor, Zemo took them to a hideout place. But Bucky noticed something and followed a trail. The shift on music scoring was a giveaway and we have a cameo of Ayo, who was following the trail of Zemo after he escaped the prison. Seeing Ayo reminds me of Wakanda and the late Chadwick Boseman.

Lastly, this show gave us cameos from old characters, and introduced us to new characters and teasing us with possible new heroes. These are a lot of characters and we all know its a transitional show for their future films. Though I crave for more action scenes, but what I want most is to reveal who really is the bad guy here. So far what we have now are Flag Smashers, the US Government and it's possible hidden agenda through John Walker's Captain America, and now the Power Broker.
