so remember the secret santa thing class 1a did? and how kaminari ended up getting his own gift?

well before the rest of the squad can react cause they obviously notice and wanna make it up to kaminari, bakugou goes up to him and takes the basketball out of his hands and gives over the glasses he'd gotten from the secret santa to kaminari.

and he does so without saying anything, just does the trade and walks off but to kaminari, oh man that meant so much to him, especially since bakugou seems to always target him. but this? this really made his day and whenever he sees the basketball in bakugou's room it puts him instantly into a good mood

i hate that "girlhood" is used to talk about idk the essence of being a woman the universal experiences that all women (girls) share (usually makeup and idk shopping and being bad at math i guess) instead of idk the experience of growing up as a girl lmao

Okay quick rant

Fannon versions of my hero characters are just- infinatley fucking weird to me, because of just how far removed they are from the actual characters themselves.

Like literally take the main character for example. I don't know if anyone remembers when mha was at it's peak at around 2020-2021 - but the sexyman-ification of a literal highschool student, the slut shaming of him (in certain corners of the internet), and the papyrus treatment that he was given which essentially infantalized him to an UwU cute-bean-can-do-no-wrong point was just? So weird?

I'm very aware that the infantilizing was due to his anxiety, but who decided that social anxiety made you this precious thing to protect? Who decided that this CHILD who has to deal with the entirety of hero society breathing down his neck, who has to deal with a guy who sleeps DOWN THE HALL from him, (who has a weird ex-friend/rivals thing going with him,,, when he wanted midoriya dead like,,, 2 years ago), AS WELL as dealing with as a shriveled raisin of a pro hero trying to use him, a newly gained quirk user to save humanity,,, Who looked at him and decided that he had to be protected because clearly he can't help himself?

Guys, he's not fucking three. He's the highschooler equivalent of a tired and broke college student. He's more than capable of holding his own.

i'm sorry i'm not trying to impose or give my opinion where it isn't needed but i have thoughts on the post you made about your gf. i've been in a relationship for 3 years and i'm the happiest i've ever been in my life (we are 21 and 22). my boyfriend is an engineer and is very academically motivated/dedicated to his studies. i'm in college now but when we met i had no idea what i was doing. i didn't even know if i was going to be able to go to college because my mental health was so bad. i was working a minimum wage job. my bf was already working at an engineering firm. i felt so bad about this and genuinely thought that i had nothing to bring to the table. even though i didn't have a college education i was able to use the skill set that i did have to get hired at a local cafe and found a job that i love and am so endlessly passionate about. i was promoted after working there for not even a year and started making $22/hr. my mental health improved a lot during this time and i decided to give college a try. i'm on track to graduate next year (and i still work at the cafe on the side and love it!) my bf has been supportive through all of this. i know that even if i decided to work as a barista for the rest of my life he would still love me and find me so endlessly interesting. he loves that i love being a barista and asks me about it every day. my dad has a phd and my mom is a secretary and he still writes her love notes saying that he feels his life could never be complete without her. maybe she doesn't push him to be better academically but i know for a fact that if he didn't marry her that man would have never met his best friend at that university party/taken a spontaneous vacation to nova scotia that he still talks about to this day/gone on all of those 3 am car rides to the 24 hr grocery store to buy rosé and chicken parm ingredients/experienced some of those little wonders that make life worth living. idk man everyone has their own path and everyone has something special that they bring to the table in their own way. some of the coolest people i've ever met don't have a post-secondary education and are bakers/baristas/tree planters/artists etc. and they're some of the happiest people too. even though these jobs don't necessarily pay well these people somehow find ways to get by doing what they love and i really admire that. if you genuinely think that you will only be happy dating an academic then that is ok and you deserve to feel fulfilled in your relationship. and you're right it doesn't make sense to be with someone if you feel like you are on 2 completely different paths in life. but like. idk. if you feel like the only thing that your partner has to bring to the table is how academically motivated they are and how much they can elevate your academic career then like. idk. i guess i just feel like you might miss out i guess

this made me tear up omg thank you so much . yeah i definitely would be missing out :) i am going to see where things go and if things go well i will grow with her. thanks for writing all of this u r wonderful and def not imposing !!! i hope things with you and your bf go well ♡

#i do my best at work with what i've got #and i never get praised for it #my supervisors are very .. eh #i know i like.. thrive on compliments akvnslj #but like . at the internship they told me wheni was doing a good job and encouraging me and i felt like #i could really do this job.. that im not like... on the wrong path or smth #i've been feeling like im just floating by at uni but then im an intern who learns quickly and has skills and has initiative #to change things when i see a way to do smth better #and now i don't feel so incompetent lmao #ik most of it was just my own mindset but a lot of professors haven't really helped with it alhkdlj #most think we're all stupid unless we get straight As #which i ... certainly do not #but i definitely learn better by doing #when we had a class that had a lab the next semester it helped me understand the subject #if i got a low grade before then after thr the labs i actually understood what we were doing #I've had many talks with my peers who do better in an academic setting and they remind me it's not all that important #unless you're yk . interested in going to academia which im not really #anyways... veen thinking about work all day it's time to sleep or smth

Oh wow, he is a difficult one to write about, but you guys love him, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hate to say this, but I think he frequently dissociates, usually for very short periods of time, he doesn't even know it tbh, just thinks he is out of the element.

He is subconsciously under a lot of stress so his mind tries to flee from it by dissociating.

I think he likes potted plants, especially succulents. He is patient so I can see him take care of even the very difficult ones.

If he is going on a mission, he would go to his mother (because he cannot trust his siblings and father in this matter) like 'take care of my child.'

She actually manages to keep it alive somehow??

I think he knows how to do origami (he saw a child making a paper crane once and got curious.)

Illumi genuinely doesn't know how to care for his hair, he just follows whatever his mom tells him to do, so thank Kikuyo for those luscious tresses.

He has a hyper-fixation on mushrooms (not the psychedelic kind you weirdo). He knows the names of a lot of mushrooms.

Just imagine him and Hisoka taking walk and he randomly spots a mushroom and mumbles to himself 'Coprinus comatus'

Azul is already confused when it comes to land-dwelling fashion, with all the fabrics and lace and those weird things you call socks but...your fashion sense has him blinking wildly.

The frilly skirt? The ribbons and lace? The soft shades of pink and yellow and blue? You look like one of those old-timey dolls and he’s never seen anyone dress the way you do. It’s incredibly bizarre, but you don’t even pay his confused glances any mind.

Azul sighs deeply as the merman bounces away, showing off his prize, about to apologize to you when—
