when kyle first came to the team, i kinda joked that bam would tire of his constant cheeky responses since that's kinda bam's thing? And now the heat is just a team composed of cheeky assholes? With jimmy as their aggravating assholic leader? So now you've got this team of constant quips that there's just a lot going on always.. someone had to take a breather i guess ..

And with all these new assholes for jimmy to play with (interpretate this however you wish... i won't stop u 🤭) , one of the easier ones to set aside kinda gets.. set aside? Tbh, tho this might be because im not big on Tyler, i haven't seen many new, at least BIG, interactions between him and jimmy anymore. Insta is kinda different. It's all Jimmy and Kyle now, that's the new 'funny jimmy pair'.. jimmy seems to love seeking new people to explore, lope into a seemingly unbreakable duo with them, keep them as a friend, then move onto a new person to keep him intrigued. That doesn't mean he doesn't love the other person LESS.... it's all just.. Interest? HMM the best way i can describe it is... jimmy is that person you meet at school who is really nice to you, jokes around, and you think 'this is gonna be my new best friend!' BUT the few days of friendship, you're just sitting in what u thought was comfortable silence with him until you turn to say something and he's gone off to talk to people you don't know with the same enthusiasm he talked to you with. Perhaps even more. And there's nothing BAD about that, being able to have multiple friends with anyone you want. I just can see how it clashes with more introverted people who prefer quarters over pennies, u know what i mean?

This can fit even into the bubble where it was jimmy and bam basically stuck together! Jimmy couldn't even go out to his famous fancy breakfast brunch places to judge their insignificant coffee! And ty was drafted in 2019 so that newness was simmered a bit. PERFECT time for bam and jimmy to duo dance their way in interviews! No parties no other people to be distracted by... jimmy bam all the way !

now that's over (we think) .. and there's more people now more space.. n more times for players to branch out and do their own things. Which jimmy LOVES! and that's good! That's okay! People can go be people!! As long as... u know.. they don't forget about other people.. i guess

You could have been royalty in one of your past lives. you could have sacrificed yourself in one of your past lives as well. your soul has been through a lot of different things too so it's true to who you are when you have all these qualities to you. I think you're also a very down person. you don't judge people on what they have financially or materially I think you see people on a soul level. that's how you pick your friends and that's how you end up having the baddest friends. you pick them on their soul level and their soul matches their face. your friends Really Love You pile 1. Kalim: I like entertaining guests and all, but Jamil's mood's gotten so bad that it's terrible.

Lilia: Even we're totally exhausted and we're supposed to be the three peppiest boys here. Most of the other students must already be at their limit.

Cater: Well anyway, it's great that we ended up having all of the Pop Music Club members on the Halloween Steering Committee.

Cater: Let's have one of our club's customary snack breaks, while we strategize some countermeasures.

Cater: Yeah, that person who messaged me earlier also considered me a friend, I guess.

Cater: I definitely met more people changing schools in such a short amount of time like that, than I would have if I stayed in one place.

Cater: The best kinds of people, and the worst kinds of people… I met 'em all. But there was always just one thing in common.

Cater: I would leave there eventually, and they'd all stay.

Cater: That's why instead of a down-to-earth relationship with someone, I'd rather just have a casual and happy-go-lucky relationship with everyone.

Cater: Kind of like those circus guys who'll come in for a whirlwind of fun with people all around the world, and then leave when it's done.

Cater: That's why Magicam's real neat. I even can get messages from people I knew in school three years ago.

Cater: I'm able to make more and more casual and light friendships, y'see? Now that's Cay-kun approved ☆

Kalim: I don't think you gotta restrain yourself, just 'cause you're far away from them, do you?

Kalim: Oh, I got an idea! I'll lend you my magical carpet. That way you can go see your friend anytime you want.

i appreciate the message and you weren't the only person to say this, but i think some people are only part-way informed as to her journey reclaiming her name. her intention was never to scrap the nickname shappi or stop people from calling her that; it was 1) to reconcile her experience growing up in the uk with her name and how that led to her committing to shappi as a teen, and 2) to be published, credited, and billed as shaparak in professional capacities. she has clarified many times, including here and here, that it is totally acceptable to call her shappi; people on tv & radio still call her shappi after formal introductions, like in the new wilty when everyone calls her shappi throughout the entire episode; her social media handles are still shappi; and so on. she's shaparak, but that doesn't mean she "no longer goes by shappi". there is some confusion here i think some people are taking her journey, which was lovely to follow, as rejecting shappi — but that isn't the case.

i already updated her tag to 'shaparak khorsandi' a while ago and would definitely credit her full name where necessary, but socially, colloquially, like in the quick text post i made asking people to give shappi some love, there is no disrespect in calling her that! of course, plenty of people are credited by one name and are regularly called another/a nickname, like olivia colman who is actually called sarah by her family and colly by most everyone else. she seems really happy with having done her book and her recent show under her full name, and it's been beautiful to see her come around to love shaparak as much as she has loved shappi :')

Was out with mountain boy last night and 1. I learned how to say ‘i love you’ in latin (te amo) and 2. Very much questioning the whole arospec thing because of this boy. Cause for the first time in my *life* the feelings have lasted more than 2 weeks. Its been 2 months. HOLY SHIT IVE BEEN DATING MOUNTAIN BOY FOR 2 MONTHS

But yeah. And also like. As of last night its like *new feeling unlocked* like I’ve had butterflies but I’ve never had butterflies to the degree that Im *still* having butterflies over something 24 HOURS later. And like. That could also just be from being in the middle of a flare that my emotions just are not regulating correctly but like. I feel like I just unlocked emotions 2.0. So maybe I am the actual rare case of ‘you just haven’t been with the right guy yet’ which is infuriating but also I *like* these feelings

But also on the whole chronic illness front - WE FUCKING HATE IT HERE and Im downing ibuprofen like its candy (that is a joke for those that need told). So if my brain could just stop having the 404 error causing both thinking and motor skill problems atm that would be great

It’s been two months 😭 where has the time gone

I love my best friend to pieces but hanging out with her and her husband was soooo. For someone who’s “autistic and touch-adverse” homegirl SURE did a 180 on that. Third wheel for a week straight 😐 I support her not conforming to social norms even when it’s embarrassed me in the past but like. Boundaries. When you are with someone else. I always made sure that I was never super PDA or hung up on my ex when we were dating because I never wanted to make someone feel like a third wheel and uh. Yeah that’s why.

I just started my meds back up, I’m back on Prozac after my hiatus from taking meds. It reached the point where I’m like “okay yeah maybe my meds were doing SOMETHING even if they weren’t WORKING exactly so MAYBE I should go back on them and be a LITTLE less crazy”. I intend on starting therapy back up. I have free therapy through work, probably Better Help, but it’s probably better than nothing. I already know my data’s on the dark web from all the times my bank account has been hacked so I don’t need to worry about them selling my personal info 😅

I was planning on graduating this semester but that’s not happening :) so next semester it is.

My mom wants to come back up next summer and my best friend and I have been trying to plan matching tattoos and we talked about getting them up there where I got them last time so maybe I’ll see you then! Sick New World already sold out so I guess that plan is a bust 😅

I AM VERY NORMAL AND SANE ABOUT JELLY AIB. HERE'S AN ESSAY ABOUT HIM.

I’d like to preface this by saying I’ve already added like 3 paragraphs of text to Jelly’s personality page on the wiki, but I’m not quite done yet with him either. Please hear me out on this.

Jelly as a character may seem very self centered at the surface. Some might even say he’s using Popsicle Stick’s affection for him as an ego booster, but I doubt he ever had any malicious intentions. Only a few times did he act self centered, and I believe there's more a reason behind this than just him wanting attention. In this very long character analysis, I hope to explain Jelly’s motivations, what's wrong with him, and his relationship with PStick and the rest of team 2.

In the 2nd episode during the team 2 icebreakers, Jelly starts introducing himself as Can becomes upset with how this is all going. He brags about being a social butterfly, and drops the iconic line “And before anyone asks… Yes.” This is usually just interpreted as Jelly wanting attention on him, but I think he’s just doing an elaborate bit (he does enjoy attention though I will not lie about that). He notices how poorly this all has been going for Can, and wants to add something silly to lighten the mood a bit, even if that means being a little obnoxious about it. He knows he has the charisma to pull it off. He might’ve dragged on the bit too far though if Bouncy Ball didn’t fly in the last second.

Later on in ep 2 after Sock kicks Jelly in the head, possibly being the reason Jelly went stupid mode instead of it being BB’s fault. During this, I believe he's showing a bit of his “true side”. of course that's debatable, since he’s just received major brain damage, but either way, he becomes less filtered and sillier, just hanging out on the sidelines up until ep 3. PStick seems to be his self-employed caretaker for the time being.

Speaking of PStick, we should address the elephant in the room here. Jelly does seem to genuinely care for her, even if it's hard to tell in his tone in ep 1, he does show many other instances where he likes spending time with her. Unlike her, he’s able to exist alone and work alongside other people, and knows he can still be friends with her and hang out during off hours. When she joined Team 2 and Hailstone pestered her and Jelly about this, he wasn’t hesitant to ask Oodle if it was ok to switch teams. He clearly likes PStick being there, but doesn’t want to upset Hailstone or break the rules either, meaning he’s not completely biased.

Later on, esp in ep 5, Jelly seems a bit startled or worried about PStick being on the team or so attached to him. He’s starting to become uncomfortable, but instead of saying this to her, he hides that fact. He doesn’t want to hurt her, and is especially afraid of conflict. When Hailstone is upset at the fact PStick is on team 2 now, Jelly tries to console her, and understands where she's coming from, but he doesn’t want to directly tell PStick to just leave. At the start of ep 5, Jelly tries to ask Hailstone if she can go ask Oodle to do something about the heat, calling her a “good negotiator” in reference to the conversation they had in ep 4, and also not wanting to confront Oodle himself. He’s possibly afraid of confrontation or upsetting others, always being the guy who gets caught up in conflicts and tries to reach a compromise where both parties are the least unhappy. Him also trusting Hailstone shows he still respects her as his teammate, even if she isn’t a fan of PStick.

I haven’t talked much about his character in ep 3, but there's still some important things to note. He still remains silly in this ep (bababooey). When team 5 ends up disqualifying themselves and Safe is pulled out of the machine, he’s the one to go up to her and tell her it wasn’t her fault they almost lost. TBH the whole team thinks this too, with Can blaming Oodle’s oversights for why they were unable to get Safe out, but that’s not the point here. He does somewhat motivate her to go join them in their little victory party as well.

Point is, Jelly is a charismatic guy who wants to be a bit silly. He understands and respects others and just wants everyone to get along and be happy, typically being the one to comfort others. He dislikes confrontation, however, even to the point where he starts getting uncomfortable but doesn’t say anything about it in fear of hurting his closest friend.

Okay firstly, wow. Mimi the way Jungkook redresses OC's bandage, it's so domestic and cute. And how they're both vulnerable to each other (Jungkook especially since it's the first time), it's so sweet and it's actually something that happens in real life..

I love how realistic this whole fic is mimi. 1) They sleep on TWO beds and not on one like how it goes in most stories/dramas/movies. 2) OC does not end up wearing Jungkook's sweatshirt and she wears other actual clothes. 3) The owners of the guesthouse don't automatically assume they are a couple and how one person addresses Jungkook as OC's friend to her. I love thisss. Mimi you're giving us such nice butterfly-inducing scenes that are not only REALISTIC but also when both OC and Jungkook are PROFESSIONAL. The way Jungkook and OC both know they're attracted to each other and they both want to seek eachother's company but refrain from doing so because they know it's not professional and they have to stay in their limits, that's really nice mimi. And also how OC acknowledges the crush she has on Jungkook and tries to act on it like an actual mature adult.

And let's not forget that teeeenyyy bit of jealousy Jungkook felt and acknowledged when Jimin and OC hug

Maybe it's only me thinking this way mimi, but isn't OC always on the recieving end when it comes to her friends? I mean yes, she's not as free as Jimin and Soomin but what about Yoongi? Yes, OC is kind and understanding to Jungkook, but (correct me if I'm wrong) she also did accept to Yoongi that she does this because it's also beneficial to her, right? Maybe it's not mentioned in the fic because the plot focuses on Jungkook and OC's relationship but I really am curious to know how OC is her friends..

And I'm saying this again coz of how you told you literally had to ask people on how they should give a chance to The Light of Dead Stars. That fic is literally my most favourite fic of all time 🩷 It's just so beautiful and how it's with Jin and how it also shows OC's feelings' transition from Namjoon to Jin 🩷🩷

As for your question regarding OC as a friend… yes, it seems like she’s always on the receiving end especially with Jimin and Soomin who drive to her, treat her, are affectionate to her. But she’s the type of person that people like being around bc of the emotional safety she provides - as I got older, I learned that this is an important yet underrated aspect of any relationship. Yoongi told her once that she gives comfort to people, and her friends feel this. Jimin and Soo are rich socialites who also deal with alot of stress and drama but they let all that go with OC. They’re themselves with her, and she doesn’t push them away. Yoongi has a no-nonsense attitude but she doesn’t judge him; he’s introverted and she doesn’t force him to socialize or anything. He didn’t want their friendship to change and she didn’t let it. There’s something welcoming about her. She can’t offer much of the material things but there’s safety in her presence, and that’s what Jungkook has realized, too. And that’s what I love about her. They’re all subtle since she’s not a grand person, but the care is truly felt by the other person.

all of my Polka redesigns! (polka is a character i made) from around 2014 to today

her name is polka but it was at various points pola, apollene, apollo. a couple characters also merge into her, i will tell you when.

i didnt date my drawings so every date will be an estimate but they will definetaly be in order bc i know how my style evolved. this is all the art i kept, i threw alot out.

i wrote more and then tumblr deleted it hh but tldr all my old characters are super personal self inserts and this one is my adhd before i was diagnosed

each description will be under the drawing its describing.

heres the first pola! that was in 1 or 2 year of middleschool. she was loosely based on my friend pola from summer camp and spiced up with the fun bubbly character archetype (example pinkiepie from my little pony) she cant stop herself from being energetic and over the top, she will either cheer you up or annoy you. she is kind of lighthearted at this stage and lacks the later bitchiness, all the problems she causes are not on purpouse. in this drawing (if you cant tell.. i dont blame you) she is hanging from the ceilling and thats why everyone else is upside down

i used to glue all my good drawings into a sketchbook. these are all from middleschool still. bottom left is marceline, based on a goth girl by the same name whom i met at the hospital. one thing about my irl friend is she would cling to the popular older kids bc more freedom and privilleges

now heres a whole page of temmie, a travelling salesman i really didnt want to admit was based on temmie undertale. thats late middleschool. what is she doing here? by the time we reach highschool there will be no temmie because i thought it was too unoriginal, but all the character traits and some design elements (notably utility vest) will be merged into polka and become half of her.

this is a highschool drawing where polka splits into 2 again. the one who keeps the name polka is the short one in front and her character is the same, however from her old design only a bandana and blouse remain. the other polka-esque character on the left is fairly unimportant and merges back in about 2 years.

this one is from today! she will keep evolving tho. right now shes a wolf(?) instead of a cat(?) short hair seems to suit her more because she wouldnt care for her long hair and keep it healthy but she still wants to be pretty and cool. how cartoony she is and what nose she has depends on what shes in, if i decided to make a super serious comic i would give her a human nose. one thing im not sure about is the colors, i think green is a realistic color for a vest like that if she got it used or found it in her dads closet (she did for sure) but green is not a very energetic color so i also liked when the vest was yellow and the sleeves red. Red is the color of her personality. when i stopped wearing pins i stopped giving her pins, and i stopped bc they make noise and annoy me so they would annoy her too and reduce her cat/wolf stealth (but im concidering giving her patches for that pop of colour. probably 4-5 on the back and 1-2 on the front above the pockets). Polka is a thrill seeker, energetic, an anarchist, and a bit of a hedonist. she will always cheat if she can, and she doesnt always recognise other peoples needs, but she tries to keep the people around her in a good mood and is always a social butterfly until bad rumours inevitably spread about her (i dont see her as a bad person though, shes just like that and theres little to do about it besides damage control)

Why did you start writing? I’m honestly curious bc of your major and how busy it seems, like would you be able to balance writing and working in your chosen career field? Or is writing just a hobby and something for right now but not something you’re going to stay doing? (Sorry for these random and long questions!)

V I thought you were going to bed 😂 but random questions are fun so don’t apologise I like having convos like these it makes me think.

So in terms of starting to write, I’ve always loved creative writing since primary school and I found I was quite good at it by the time i reached high school (my english grades were tops). Like every time we had a creative writing assignment I’d smash it because I’m quite a creative person and have always found it easy to put things into words. I’ve come up with plenty of concepts the main four or five would be —

1. Scorchrose (which is quite complex and it’s about a vampire named Caelius Scorchrose who buys slaves from the black market of Rorrim (which is the realm that’s opposite to earth) so he buys them to kind of keep them safe in a sense because monsters of Rorrim are very unforgiving and will do anything and everything to humans because they can. So the main character Amara (she’s black and IK HOW IT LOOKS NO THIS IS NOT A NOD TO SLAVERY I SWEAR i just wanted to create someone that looked like me yk) is bought however she’s a bit different, she smells a bit different and it’s not often they get high quality blood through the black market auction so everyone jumps on this opportunity but Cae is the highest bidder naturally (he’s the founder and owner of a pharmaceutical company that deals in both Rorrim and earth) and then they’re relationship transpires — i made a map of Rorrim and everything (social classes, primary monster species, all with their own little kingdoms and laws, etc.

Let’s not talk about the werewolf orgy (where we get this is hotter with context I swear 😂 we get to meet Dimitri(os) for the first time (yes he’s the leader of the species)). I have a few unfinished scenes floating around my laptop for this story (yes I have some of the orgy scene written) — I can go on and on about this story

2. The Butterfly Effect which is now a mammon fic on my blog of that same name but it used to be a larger story of a prince/ royal or someone of that social class and a tracker. Now this whole story included topics of racism because there were two races called the Etherians (which is our tracker, her name is Seeris (Sear-ris)) and the Kertisian (Ker-tee-jan (pronounce the j like in jean) (which is our royal, his name is Dante). So the whole first chapter was what happens in the fic but the kicker is that you see Dante is engaged to a Kertisian well he just bred with an Etherian so uhh guess who’s pregnant. It was gonna be a whole lot of drama kinda delving into the realm of racism and social class, and SCIENCE I was gonna geek tf out with it but never got to finishing it. My first reader of that story was @the-australian-editor hahaha the way she loves that story.

3. Octavia which was really a self insert cause I was obsessed with the idea of space pirates. So this concept was turned into ‘Catch Me If You Can’ with Geto. The Geto fic was from a particular scene I was compelled to write. So that one was about captain y/n (in this case) and her crew stealing from the Paragon (think of them as the top 1% of those who roam space so your government officials, celebrities, kings, queens, etc.) and their whole journey being on the run. And who better to go after the captain of the notorious Octavia (that’s the ship’s name) than her ex lover. I made names for the different species of aliens that make up the crew and basically wrote little profiles for them and where they came from (and what those planet environments were like)

4. Honey which I scrapped entirely, it was gonna be your typical mafia love story. So Honey is set in Valencia, Spain and Honey the main character she’s been adopted by a family (she doesn’t know that she’s adopted - her birth parents gave her up when she was an infant). She works in the museum there and she meets a strange old man, who invites her to dinner (she refuses at first but in this case you can’t actually refuse the don of the biggest mafia in Valencia) so she goes there for dinner and she meets this man’s son, after a while she finally asks what this is all about and the father says “well according to the deal your parents made you are to marry my son”. It was a very loose and kinda cliche plot so I scrapped it.

5. Ray and Camille doesn’t have a title offically, but it’s about two opposites the sun and the moon. So Ray is born from a coronal mass ejection from the sun during a solar hurricane (the amount of research I did for this was insane, cause I wanted it to make logical sense) so the earth is not actual earth it’s like a pooh’s version of earth for the plot. So baby boy is from the sun and in the year XXXX he lands in Abadonia, more on the outskirts in this sweet black lady’s yard (she’s our mother figure of the story as is common for all beings from outer space). She raises him and as Ray grows he discovers his powers of light and heat (the sun) and uses them to become Abadonia’s hero essentially. Now Camille is cursed, our villainess and Ray’s arch nemesis. Her whole role is to bring about the end of the world (think enchantress from the suicide squad how she possessed Cara Delevingne’s character and wants to fuck shit up). Her curse comes from the moon, it was put upon her by her family who dealt in some shady magics. The whole thing is about their power struggle of being polar opposites, and the drive to stop Camille (does he kill her or does he try and save her from her curse). But yeah another scrapped idea cause it’s very very loose and cliche.

But as for why I started writing on tumblr, really it was to share my creativity with someone, anyone who was willing to read. I love story telling and I’ve had a lot of ideas over the years and I thought why not give it to an audience. Fanfic writing pretty much created a safety net because it has such a large demographic so it ensured my work would be read by someone and it’s easy to write these characters into a unique and creative narrative. Then the more I wrote the more I actually enjoyed writing fanfics and it grew into such a cool community so quickly, I met mutuals and now we’re here.

If we’re talking about the topic of my degree that’s really for stability reasons (and I really love science), if I could do creative writing I would but I just don’t see myself becoming an author hahaha it’s a very competitive and brutal occupation, not to mention making it big is difficult as well so it’s safer to do science because there will always be a need for science and I’ll never be without a job.

I think writing is more so a hobby than something I’d do for a job long term. I just really enjoy writing and sharing it with everyone and that’s enough for me. I’ll definitely do this tumblr and writing thing for as long as time lets me, I got plenty of juice in the tank so I won’t be stopping anytime soon 😊🤎.

It's the last day of Ace Week! Happy ace week to all a-spec folks!

Asexuals, I need your opinion and help with something.

I think it's a good time in my life to reflect on what being ace has meant in my life--because it's beautiful to be aro ace, but it's also so so hard because of the way the modern world views sex and love.

I never liked the word love. It was used against me in my childhood. I tell people I love them so that they feel valued and cared for. But, people long for this unconditional form of love, and I refuse to give that. It's dangerous. It hurts people. It hurt me.

Being trapped with someone isn't love. I had to learn that lesson very young. I think some people never learn it.

My ability to love has come into question recently. My partner broke up with me and said it was because (1) she didn't like how I was still in contact with my parents and cared about them after being abused, (2) she herself had treated me shitty when we were long distance and she was upset that I let her do so (victim-blaming much?), and (3) she felt like I saw her as my sister (very untrue and also hilarious). I think most of these were excuses to leave me that she didn't have to feel guilty about, which she should but lol let's leave that for another time.

She also told me in plain, clear terms that she couldn't be a supportive friend to me anymore (because my trauma was too much) and that she couldn't have honesty or healthy boundaries with me anymore (because it made her feel too much like a therapist). The healthy boundaries (which keep me safe from overexerting myself to help others and keep me safe from triggering situations) are something she had been encouraging me to build for the year we had been together.

Throughout our relationship, she was constantly disappointed by my asexuality/aromanticism. She is alloromantic and allosexual (so fucking allosexual dear god), but she knew I would never be involved romantically or sexually with her. She knew that when she asked to be in a relationship with me.

I was so excited to be in a QPR. We'd lived together before, too, and all I had ever hoped for in life was a good life-long roommate.

But, she was constantly disappointed in my inability to discuss crushes with her. She was upset when I didn't understand her weird, unsettling relationship with her ex boyfriend that she used as a boy toy (thinking back, she might have been abusing him ... unsure, he ghosted her soon after I did).

I knew I wasn't what she wanted. But, what else could I be? I'm aroace. I don't understand wanting sex or romance. I don't want a possessive, touchy relationship barred away from all other people. I love people, I'm a social butterfly. I want to befriend everyone and just have a couple of really close friends to live with. That's all I've ever wanted.

I think she really left me because of that. Because our wants in a relationship didn't match up, which is fine, except a little acephobic of her maybe. But, the reasons she gave for breaking up with me? Not okay at all. So I ghosted her and told my friend group what she said to me.

Now correct me if I'm wrong here (I've not had many break-ups), but I think that's a perfectly normal thing to do after a break-up, right?

I had a close friend who disagreed. They were also friends with my ex and desperately wanted me to see the whole thing as a misunderstanding. My ex wanted me back and wanted to live with me again and quickly sent a text after she realized I was ghosting her pretending that she could take back what she said, after all. This friend said that me ghosting her was cruel, and they were particularly upset that I had told the friend group what had happened. They said I couldn't keep personal problems personal and that I was tarnishing my ex's reputation.

Well, I brought my ex into that friend group. They were my friends. She never hung out with them without me, never made efforts to get to know them beyond me. They were my friends. And I had only said what she had said to me (and called her a bitch twice, which I think is well deserved). One of the people in the group asked who she was again, because that's how little they knew her.

My one mutual friend has been ghosted before multiple times (which I guess should've been a red flag to me before but I'm stupid because I was raised by abusive people). They said ghosting was the worst evil. They told me they could not be my friend anymore unless I promised not to ghost them. They asked me to promise that I would stay loyal to them even if they hurt me like my ex did. They wanted to know that they could be an asshole and I'd always forgive, always stay. They wanted control.

I, especially since they knew well about my childhood trauma, thought this was fucked up. I ghost to protect myself, to get out of unsafe situations. I do not owe anyone an explanation of my absence once they're being abusive, right? I've accidentally befriended rapists and people who threaten to hurt (and sometimes actually commit harm to others) many times in the past, and ghosting is how I'm safely able to get away.

I refused to pledge myself to them.

They told me I never knew how to love anyone. They said they felt like I never loved them.

And that stings a bit, even now. I work so hard to show how much I care for the people in my life. Hell, I've cleaned up after and fed that friend for months over the summer because they weren't taking care of themselves. I brought them into several of my friend groups, and comforted them through many break downs and panic attacks. I actively tell people how much I care about them and why I like their company, even surface-level friends--I know how much it means to be on the receiving end of that reassurance.

Does it all come back to the fact that I don't like the idea of unconditional love? I want the people I care about to know they can leave me at any time. I never want to trap anyone. If I become an asshole, I want them to get away. I care about them, of course I want them near me, but I'd rather have them never see me again if that was what was safe and healthy for them.

Am I too traumatized? Does everyone else feel like my friend's request was normal and within their rights of our 2-year friendship?

Does it all come back to the fact that I can't feel the romantic and sexual love that allos do? Did my friend and my ex want more than I could ever give them, and they just found other excuses to leave me behind? Some of my remaining friends have thought this was a possibility.

Does this kind of stuff happen to other aces/aros? Please tell me your stories because I feel so alone right now.

How to Have a Great Self-Esteem

Do not be fooled by the inspirational quotes you see on Instagram or Pinterest. It is not just about rainbows, butterflies and positive thinking. Self-esteem is a very real, tangible thing. You cannot achieve it simply by going within. Having confidence is a big part of it. But it’s not everything.

Step 1: Find your passion.

Because you need a reason to live. If you do not have one, you get depressed. You become lonely. You develop suicidal thoughts. You feel worthless.

And no, going to college, having a job or getting married is not enough. These are goals that society taught us to adopt. What you need is your own personal aim. And you will only discover that once you start living your true passion. Which could be anything, from painting and dancing to spellcasting and tarot reading.

When you have a true goal, you have the will to live. Neither mental illness nor poverty can stop you from chasing it.

Step 2: Look your best.

Body positivity is all well and good in theory. But in reality, body positivity has become a sorry excuse for some people to accept their average self instead of striving for their best self.

In truth, many body positivity champions are simply too lazy to work out, diet and take care of themselves.

You need to ask yourself if you are one of them. Because if you are, there is insecurity inside of you masquerading as self acceptance. And one way or another, that truth will come up to the surface. It will always prevent you from truly loving yourself.

Step 3: Seek material stability.

Hating on rich people and bashing capitalism may be cool and all, but it will not help you pay your bills and buy the things you want.

Success is like a game. Complaining about the rules will not help you win. It will only make you look bitter and stupid, even. Instead, play it. And play as well as you can. Study hard, find a job, start a small online business, sell your art. Or even find a rich romantic partner, if you want — to support you before you can support yourself.

Remember that spirituality is amazing. After all, that is what this blog is all about. But if the gods wanted us to just be spiritual, they would not have made us corporeal.

Step 4: Do not tolerate disrespect.

Respecting yourself means eliminating everyone who does not respect you. 

That means cutting off your toxic friends and breaking up with your abusive lover. If that is easier said than done, ask for help from those who can give it. No one with a healthy self-esteem stays in any abusive relationship. If your parents refuse to give you love, you may not be able to leave them yet, but stop craving their affection and work on yourself while you wait to get out of there.

Same with social media. Block everyone who sends you malicious energy. If that energy is particularly malevolent, avenge yourself by putting a curse on them. Even arguing is not worth your time. Let them drown alone in pathetic jealousy.

Step 5: Never need anyone.

Humans are social creatures with complex emotions. So I do not mean, be a hermit and stay a virgin forever.

What this is, is a culmination of all the previous points. 1) If you know what you want out of this life… 2) If you genuinely feel happy each time you look at your own reflection… 3) If you can financially support yourself in this material world of ours… 4) If you never let anyone walk all over you in any way at all… then and only then are you actually complete.

And when you are complete, it does not matter if a friend betrays you, a lover leaves you, or the world turns its back on you. You will always feel whole at the end of the day. And that is what it truly means to have a great self-esteem.

IM BACK with yet again, another req!! (Chaotic) headcanons of being bestfriends with Suga, Kageyama & Hinata (together), Noya and the Miya twins >:D Make sure to take care, drink water, eat well and sleep well!

Nishinoya, Miya Twins, Y/N

Very chaotic if you ask me. If you are an introvert, then that's not the group for you. I mean if you are, you actually were adopted by one of them because they are loud and messy, and hot-headed.

If you're an extrovert, then you just add to the chaos, resulting in an explosion probably.

Nonetheless, you end up having a lot of fun. It's always an adventure with these three.

Nishinoya likes to travel, see new places and meet new people. Osamu is a foodie. This combination forces both Atsumu and you to be adventurous and risk-takers.

Some places are amazing, some... well it's an experience right?

I can totally imagine the four being lost in the Amazonas or whatever. Nishinoya looking at the map upside-down, Atsumu being harassed by all fauna and flora, Osamu tiered and grumpy, while you're trying to actually find service.

So yeah, many places like South America, India, and Africa. Like many camping trips and all.

Overall, it's a group that's always trying new things. A boring day with any of them will never happen.

Although, you and Nishinoya will need to be able to go with the flow, and usually act like the bigger person because Atsumu is fiery. He does like certain things and he gets whiny when things don't go his way. Osamu might be slightly more cool-headed but in reality, we all know they share the same DNA so he also likes his accommodations.

One time, Nishinoya managed to book a camping trip last minute and the accommodations were horrible. Osamu was very unhappy.

Picture the serie 'Friends', Monica getting sting by a ray... yup, with this group, it could happen.

Sugawara, Kageyama, Y/N, Hinata

Whenever you hang out with Hinata or Kageyama or both, you just end up playing volleyball or doing something related to the sport.

When you just hang out with Suga, it's a different story. More life outside volleyball.

Now, I could tell you Suga is a mother hen but I'd be lying. We all know he is just as chaotic as kagehina, but hey! So are you!

Unlike another certain *ahem* group, your chemistry works perfect.

I'd say the dynamic it's a little more balance. Plus your group has a third year in it. Suppousuly more mature.

Like Suga is very good at reading people/situations, unlike Kageyama. If you're shy, then Hinata will balance it out.

I think the group would include more stay-at-home reunions, rather than going on various trips.

Although you would take some adventures because 1) Hinata is a social butterfly and 2) He has the stamina of a beast, so it's obvious that he will want to do anything all at once.

Overall, this group would be a 100% supportive, like they always have your back no matter what

Murdered someone? No worries, they'll burry it

Stress? They will help you or get your mind off. Sad? Lots of cuddles
