Finally watched the first episode of Ahsoka, and I liked it!

I can see what people meant by it being the most Star Wars-feeling show of the shows so far. A lot of the opening visuals are matching A New Hope and the original trilogy, with the slow pan over the ship, the white interior, Rebellion-style ship, and even the opening fight with the Dark Jedi - red and black on white and grey. Very nice!

I admit, the title scroll was a surprise.

as fond as i am of games like shadow and sonic heroes everyday there isn’t a day that goes by where i don’t wish shadow’s character arc could have been completed in a way that directly builds off what was established at the end of sa2 (and doesn’t muddle or at worst contradict it). Probably an unpopular opinion but I really liked what they did with Aang and Zuko’s conversation after escaping Pohuai. I know this Zuko is a little softer around the edges than the Zuko we remember from the original show, at least in the beginning, but I like the way they’re exploring his character so far. I like that he had that moment of connection with Aang before getting snapped out of it. I feel like it’ll give THIS Aang, who seems a bit less trusting and naive than the original, more of a reason to continue wanting to befriend Zuko in the future if we get another season.
