tak programmed her bootleg sir unit to be able to taunt enemies, stare vacantly when idle, and express unhappiness when physically harmed. her self-constructed ship has a fully functional, slightly-modified copy of her own personality and a physical design that gives it not only limbs but actual body language when acting as land transport. what's her problem? is she lonely?

Picture this: an "It's a Wonderful Life" plot where Dib wishes Zim never existed in a moment of extreme frustration. He thinks humanity would be better off, but is horrified when he sees what the world is actually like without Zim.

Oh sure, the Irken Empire is THRIVING! Operation Impending Doom 1 was a raging success, Operation Impending Doom 2 is almost complete, and way more planets are under Irken rule.

HOWEVER, that includes Earth. Wha?!?!? That's right, all of humanity is enslaved under Irken rule. Conditions are basically unlivable and most humans Dib knows have already died in horrible factory accidents.

But how could this happen?! Wasn't Earth a fake mission? Well well well, here's your answer: with Operation Impending Doom 1 a raging success, all the prioritized planets we see conquered in canon were already taken care of. That leaves less important, father away planets for Operation Impending Doom 2 which includes Earth. Sure that means the Planet Jackers don't touch it, but that also means they sent a competent invader who actually brought humanity to its doom.

And so when Dib inevitably returns to his own Earth, he's VERY thankful that Zim exists.

This entire scene is so ZIM coded… if ZIM was actually competent…

But the similarities are there. The under-appreciation of their abilities by their peers, their huge aspirations (ZIM wants to be the greatest Irken Invader, POX wants to be the savior of the Furon race), having to fight to actually be taken seriously (as indicated by Orthopox practically begging the council to green light his mission), being practically stranded on Earth with nothing but a bare-bones set of equipment and an underling who would much rather do their own thing (thankfully for Orthopox, Crypto actually knows how to follow orders. Even if he does so begrudgingly at times), … the way they try to portray a sense of greatness and superiority.,,

They think

“How can they not see how AMAZING I am, how IMPORTANT my mission is? What I’m trying to accomplish for the empire! Everyone who dares go against me are IDIOTS! MORONS who simply don’t understand my mission!”

ZIM fans would love Orthopox, I just know they would.

with the invader zim renaissance in full swing, i wanted to bring up something that’s always bugged me… it was kind of fucked up how…back then, people always portrayed purple as the weaker/nicer one when shipping the tallests together.

like, we all watched the same show, right?? 

red’s the “nice” one, he gives people sandwiches and fake missions, but purple?? purple is straight up RUTHLESS

no i’m serious!! almighty tallest purple is MEAN as hell, he’ll call you ugly to your FACE, his first reaction to seeing any foreign vessel in outer space is to blow it up, he throws the WRONG guy out of an airlock and calls it a day

Since it's a presidential election year in the US, I thought of making y'all vote on something thematically similar like "vote for the ruler of all of earth"

For the parties I think Pro Irken Empire and Anti Irken Empire (aka "THE AWESOME IRKEN EMPIRE PARTY" vs "The Resisty Party") make the most sense since that's the main hot political topic in-universe

Only problem is no matter who I put on the ballots Zim and Dib are just guaranteed to be the two canidates out of popularity lmao

Fun Invader Tenn Fact!

The only time pronouns are used for Tenn (in the Dookie Loop of Horror), Zim uses "their" to refer to them

This is opposed to Zim usually using gendered pronouns or terms even for individuals he barely knows or complete strangers, implying Tenn uses they/them pronouns

(Oh yeah and they're canonically a DDR champion lmao)
