4/19/24
total: 418
cals burned: 15
i woke up at 11.... and then fell back asleep..... and then started my day at 1pm lol.. i've been trying to find my priorities and focus on THE CURRENT . i think i'm going to delete all socials media, besides tumblr ofc, and isolate from all my online friends besides u all!! i think that will help keep me motivated as i've been lackin
i don't have that many friends irl, i keep to myself, i think if i can find a way to make every aspect of my personal existence / identity perfect then i can build up from there. i'm struggling to put this into words and also to even theorize myself what i mean but if i just have so few things to keep up with, i won't feel overwhelmed. i'm autistic if i can check boxes or goals and be told exactly what i need to do to accomplish what i want i will do it. but nobody will do that for me (bc how could they) so i need to do it myself. give me time
anyways i texted some plugs and some friends and i chilllled, i start my days off lazy
asked around and ONE OF MY FRIENDS PULLED THRU?!!!!! but then i lost my wallet and tore my room apart looking for it, so i ended up having to cashapp him instead lol. and then guess what i lift up my pillow BOOM it was in the pillow case and GUESS WHAT i had already checked there!!! goodness gracious
i had half of a mandarin orange and gave the rest to my dogs, one of them spit it out tho and i stepped on it i squealed it was so scary///24
so i smoked and then i got kinda hungry, so i grabbed one of tjose tiny hersheys bars, and i broke a piece of it and i chewed it, and then i spit it, and then i did it again.. i still feel guilty ab it like what's the point of putting it in my mouth in the first place if i already know im gonna spit it out. my brother told me i should make cinnamon rolls again, and i said i would but then he said he wanted a grilled cheese instead. so i made him one on whole grain and made tomato basil soup, i live vicariously through others eating ahahhah and by the time im done cooking im too tired to be hungry!
i doodled for a little, and smoked more, then there were some guys in my backyard?? i dunno i just shut my curtains and ignored it someone else can handle that..
rescued a baby bird :3 he was grounded and there was no nest in sight, he was gaping cuz he was so hungry, i mashed up some tuna cat food for him but he didn't really take much of it, he was physically fine but still just a little guy :( we were both so nervous.. thankfully there's a 24/7 bird sanctuary/rehab 20 minutes from me, so i brought him there and left a little note, i will keep u guys updated! his name is steven with a V !
i asked my brother to get me a cherry coke zero from the store, but he got me a regular one.. i told my mom i wasn't going to drink it because i don't like how the sugary ones taste and she got mad at me, and i realized i backed myself into a corner there!! so i drank it :/ ///260
ummm i got home and watched the final two episodes of the FIRST season of the new show i've been watching, they were each like an hour long, i split the maruchan yakisoba with my brother, regular serving this time!!! it was actually pretty good ///135
everyone went to bed, i went into my room and listened to music, smoked, took Benadryl, smoked, read some, and now im in bed! i keep having paranoid schizophrenic delusions and i am armed
gn guys Bless up

headcanons: Choi Jongin
so sorry about this being late... i know i promised it forever ago, but i've been really worried about whether or not people will like these headcanons until i realized it doesn't really matter lmao. though here's a disclaimer anyway: i've absolutely used my creative liberty with these characters, and you'll probably have one or two moments where you go "they would never fucking say that," or something along those lines. these are just. blorbos that have been rotting in my brain and i have finally given them their poor little meow meow backstories that have absolutely nothing to do with canon. so :) just keep this in mind with these headcanons, and any future ones i post. i'm just throwing my 2 cents into the fandom, even if they are a very niche 2 cents.

Okay this is wildly off topic but I saw that you cook japanese food. Can you recommend some dishes to try or ways to get myself to like it? I want to like Japanese food so bad but I haven't liked anything I've tried aside from super basic stuff like sushi, teriyaki, and gyoza. I've even tried making curry and omurice at home and everyone except me loved it.
Japanese cooking resources
Ah, I have been called upon! Lemme dig some stuff out of my Bird nest for you :D
Disclaimer: I'm not Japanese or an expert on this. I'm just a cooking nerd who thinks Japan has the best food and experimented a whole bunch with Internet recipes and stuff from the Asian market.
Recipes
I learned a lot of what I know from these two foodie blogs:
Just One Cookbook
No Recipes
(the latter site does, in fact, contain recipes, but the blogger would encourage you to build the confidence to cook without them)
Since you're having trouble finding dishes you like, I suggest starting with udon: thick, chewy noodles often served in dashi broth, perhaps with fried toppings. You can prepare udon a bunch of different ways, that's just a classic one--but no matter how you make it, udon is a pretty easy sell. Tonkatsu is another dish that's hard to dislike, and makes a good topping for your udon if you want to make both at once!
Fun travel memoir
There is a fantastic book called Pretty Good Number One: An American Family Eats Tokyo.
It's a foodie travel memoir and it's exactly what it sounds like: this guy went to Tokyo for a month with his wife and daughter and they ate a bunch of food, his daughter made friends with half of the entire population of Tokyo, and he wrote about it. He's a really entertaining writer, and it has great descriptions of all kinds of Japanese food, so from there it's easy to go look up recipes.
Shopping
You'll want to go to an actual Asian market if you can find one locally. Use Google, they're often tucked into odd buildings.
Different Asian markets cater to different cultures' cuisines, so there might be one market with a full assortment of Indian MTR spice blends but no kombu or katsuobushi in sight. They usually have a variety though. If you can find an H Mart, you're golden (H Mart is Korean, but will have the stuff you need for Japanese food). Be willing to explore a bit! Last resort, go ahead and use Amazon, but trust me--the Asian markets are cheaper, and I much prefer supporting them to feeding Amazon.
Just One Cookbook also has a list of Japanese pantry essentials, which is really good, but it's also really completionist (I don't even have all of those premade sauces) and stretches the definition of "pantry" a bit, so it seems more intimidating than it should.
Here's my version.
Pantry essentials:
Good soy sauce. Just get something that says "traditionally brewed" and you're fine. If you spot dark soy sauce: it's smokier and less salty, very different, it can't replace normal soy sauce but you might grab it too.
Short grain "sushi" rice. Try not to overpay for it. If you're in an Asian market you're fine. If you're in the fancy organic section of Hy-Vee, you're gonna get ripped off.
Mirin. A seasoned cooking wine. Unfortunately, bad mirin is easy to find and is loaded with corn syrup. Try to find some that isn't; remember, ingredients are listed on the bottle proportionally. It's very worth paying $10 for a good bottle of mirin. I don't *think* you have to be 21 to buy it? Drinking it would probably be unappealing. Mirin is very important, and it's a versatile cooking ingredient; once you know what it does you might find yourself putting it in everything.
Sake. You do have to be of legal drinking age to buy this. Which kind you get for cooking isn't a super big deal, and you can get by with just mirin most of the time.
Kombu and katsuobushi. The former is a kind of seaweed/kelp (it may look dusty with white powder; that's natural MSG and it's a good thing). The latter is shaved dried smoked skipjack tuna and looks a bit like pencil shavings; you might see them labeled "bonito flakes." They're common ingredients for dashi (basic Japanese cooking stock), but you'll see katsuobushi used as a topping on lots of savory dishes. If you can't find these, try looking for dashi powder or tea bag type dealies.
Toasted sesame oil. Not hard to find.
Rice vinegar. Same.
Panko bread crumbs. These are special, lofty, crispy breadcrumbs. They're different because of SCIENCE and are what happens when you electrocute bread dough. I'm not joking.
Cornstarch/potato starch. I slightly prefer potato starch (good texture), but they're not that different.
Nori. These are those pressed algae sheets you use to wrap sushi, but they're used for other stuff too, like onigiri, or shredded as a topping.
Noodles. Obviously, if you want to make udon, you need to buy some. You can easily find dried udon, but if you spot frozen or even fresh udon noodle packs, grab them.
If you can find an Asian market that stocks all this, you should be able to get the whole list for around $50. Asian markets tend not to be expensive, which is yet another good reason to learn to cook Japanese food. (Other reasons: healthy, tasty, easy to cook in a small kitchen...)
Of course, you also don't need to get the whole list at once! It's not cheating to just get what you need for a particular dish.
Fun stuff you can find at Asian markets
With the basics out of the way, here are additional tasty things you might want to look for:
Furikake. Not strictly necessary, but I like it. It's a topping/seasoning blend you can mix into your rice, and it comes in lots of flavors, some fishier than others. Start with a nori or vegetable flavor if you're uncertain. Tamago flavor = egg.
Ramune. If you've never had marble soda before, don't deny yourself the adventure of trying to figure out how to get the bottle open. Lots of flavors.
Good instant ramen. Nongshim's Shin Ramyun is what I usually get, and even Walmart sells it. You'll never buy Maruchan again.
Candy. So, I don't know who's in charge of Japanese fruit flavored candy, but it actually tastes like fruit, which is wild.
Yuzu and/or sudachi juice. If you can find these, grab 'em. They're citrus juices. Yuzu is a bit like lemon but less strongly sour and more... clean? Crisp? while sudachi is a bit like lime but more green and complex. I'm describing these poorly. You might also be able to find candy or drinks with these flavors.
Sugary drinks with nata de coco in them. Nata de coco is a firm jelly-like dessert type... thing. It's made from coconuts and it's got a unique jelly/crunchy texture and is odd but good. You might be able to find nata de coco on its own, but I'll warn you: the kind you get packed in jars will be Very Sugary.
Tapioca pearls. If you like bubble tea, here's the place to get your boba.
Umeboshi plums. These sour/salty pickled plums are a tasty ramen topping.
Ice cream. Those square melon popsicles are delicious, but get them home quickly, their texture is very temperature sensitive! And if you spot individually wrapped ice cream cones, grab one.
Euro cakes. These look kinda like round Twinkies, but Twinkies only dream of being this tasty. I like the pandan flavor best. Don't be put off by the green color.
Soft tofu. So good 🥰 and weirdly hard to find in supermarkets. It's got a texture like custard, and apart from its fairly neutral, fresh flavor, will easily pick up any flavors you put on it. An excellent addition to udon soup; add it last, the tofu is fragile (and doesn't actually require cooking). Silken tofu sometimes comes in shelf stable packages. My experience with those has been fine, but the general consensus is that the tofu you get from the fridge section is better.
Frozen pork buns. They might be labeled "siopao" or "bao" (Chinese names) or "nikuman" (Japanese name). Lil bread buns with bbq pork or other fillings. You steam them in the microwave and they're delicious.
I'd recommend having fun getting a few of the things off this list, rather than being a completionist about the first one, if you find yourself choosing between the two. That said, make sure you get the stuff you need for the thing you want to make!
Okay, now I want a pork bun. I wonder if my brother's eaten them all yet...

AN: This came from an ask @be-ready-when-i-say-go sent me about Cal’s long hair. Then este guey had some audacity to work out, looking like a full course meal. Thank you to @chickensass for screen recording this and sending it to me, ilysm. As always thank you to @d-oaks for always taking time out of her day to beta read and edit my stuff.
Requested?: Kinda, Hunter sent me an ask that was supposed to be me just going ‘ashgdskjdsjk’ but it lead me to writing this.
Warnings: smut...kinda
Word Count: 2.3k words
Tumblr media
"Your ass looks so good in those shorts." Calum said leaning against the makeup display and earning an eye roll from Claudia.
She dropped an eyeshadow brush into her basket and made her way over to the hair care section. Calum pushed off and followed her.
"You know you can give me your number and we can meet up for—"
"Hey, are you ready to go?" A girl asked while approaching Claudia. She gave Calum a suspicious look before smiling at Claudia. She leaned over to her. "Pretend you know me. Maybe he'll stop hitting on you."
It took Claudia a second to process what she meant. "Oh, no. This is my idiot boyfriend. He likes to hit on me for no reason. Sorry for that." She quickly explained.
"Oh."
"Sorry." Calum apologized. The girl gave Calum a final glare and walked over to the Urban Decay display.
Claudia turned around and playfully smacked Calum's arm. "Menso."
"I'm getting a smoothie. You want one?" Calum asked her.
"Please." She nodded. She reached for her bag, pulling out her wallet. She fished out a card. "Here, Danny gave me a gift card for my birthday a few years back and I always forget to use it."
He took the card and strolled over to the Jamba Juice kiosk. A few minutes later he walked back to Sephora with their smoothies and a waffle for Claudia. He spotted her nodding along, bored, at what some guy was telling her. Calum realized exactly why that girl walked over to Claudia earlier. It was clear that the guy was flirting with her, and she was not interested. He also saw how her shoulders tensed as he took a step forward, and she took one back.
Calum walked over to them. “Here’s your smoothie.” He told her, handing her her drink. The guy watched Claudia take the offered drink, and he slinked off.
“Thank god you’re here. He was getting on my nerves.” Claudia said before taking a generous sip of her smoothie. She hummed and smacked her lips at how good it was, a habit she picked up from him.
She led him to the Fenty Beauty aisle to get herself a new foundation. She was supposed to only get some hair treatment for Calum’s hair because the blond ends were starting to split, and the avocado and egg mask she used on herself wasn’t helping him.
At first Claudia suggested that he should buzzcut it, but, much to her dismay,  he rejected her idea, saying that  he wanted to bring back the curls. Luckily her sister in law went platinum blonde sometime before and recommended this deep conditioner that worked wonders on her.
Claudia unlocked her phone and checked the picture she took of her old bottle to make sure she was getting the correct shade. She also grabbed an eyeliner and some bronzer. When she checked the eyeshadow shades, Calum rested his chin on her shoulder. He snuck a few kisses on her neck, earning a few incoherent sounds from Claudia.
Casually, Claudia pulled his arm and swatched some of the eyeshadow from the neutral palette on it. She made a face and reached for the redder palette and tested those colors on him. She liked how they shimmered against Calum’s skin, so she placed a palette on her basket.
“It says that if you get two they’ll cost you $45.” Calum pointed out with his drink. He grabbed a purple-shade palette for her and placed it on her basket. “I’m saving you money here.”
“I don’t take money advice from someone who thought that a roll of fabric only cost $5.”
“How the fuck was I supposed to know they sell it by the yard?”
“That’s how they sell in Lincraft. When I went with your mom, she bought like three meters of fabric.”
“No shit, they sell in meters, not yards.”
“It’s the same concept!”
While they waited in line ‘Wildflower’ sounded through the store. Both of them looked at each other in disbelief. Calum pulled her to his chest and swayed her to the music, ‘cause he wanted to hold her.
“You’re the only one that makes me...” Calum began.
“Laugh.” Claudia cut him off, filling in the pause.
“Every time we...”
“Talk.”
Claudia got too into the song that she didn’t realize what her hips did to Calum. He was quick to point out that she wasn’t wearing anything under his ‘Drop Dead’ t-shirt she was wearing. She had somehow tucked it into itself, making it look like a crop top. Once the song ended Calum took the basket and placed it in front of himself, waiting for their turn.
Their last stop at the outdoor mall after Sefora was lunch. They wandered into a taphouse and restaurant where a hostess led them to a table in the back patio.
Claudia was slightly nervous. She looked around to make sure no paparazzi were present to jump out of the bushes and ambush them with pictures. Once she was sure they were safe, she read over the menu, instantly picking the chicken sandwich and spicy margarita. A waitress came by and took their orders.
"I'll be right back, gotta take a piss." Calum said. He got up and walked over to the waitress asking for the restroom.
Claudia pulled out her phone and decided to check Twitter in the meantime. She was speechless to say the least when she saw something new on Cal’s IG page. She couldn’t wrap it around her head why Calum would do something like this. The one time she decided to lurk through his tagged posts, she stumbled on this. It was a boomerang where he’s casually curling weights.
She should be used to him working out, but in all honesty, she can barely handle him in a t-shirt and basketball shorts. Now she’s seeing him shirtless with his shorts stuck to his legs.
"What are you looking at?” Calum asked her.
"You said you were working out with your trainer the other day." Claudia accused him.
"I did. When you left for your meeting, he came over. He made me swim a few laps and then we did some weight training." He shrugged. He took a sip of his beer and crossed his ungodly arms on his chest.
Claudia showed him her screen playing the boomerang. "This is not working out. This is thirst trapping."
***
Calum adjusted Claudia's leg around his waist as he fucked into her. They didn't even make it through lunch before they asked the waitress to put their food in take out containers. Once home, their clothes landed on the floor, and Calum was on his knees in front of Claudia. Which brought them to now with Calum on top of her as he made her chant his name for the third time in the last hour.
Her moans filled his ears, egging him on. He was close. His thrusts became messy and quick. He felt one of her hands release his arm. Slowly it wandered down to where they were connected to each other, and she slowly rubbed herself.
"Cal, please come with me." She said softly.
It was all he needed. He slowed down, making his thrusts more precise. He leaned down and kissed her. She pulled her hand away from herself and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
With a final thrust, Calum got them both off. He kept thrusting into her. He loved how she felt around him as they came together. Without pulling out of her, he maneuvered them so all his weight wasn't on Claudia.
"If my trainer posting videos of me leads to this, then I'm going to work out all the time." he said, earning an eye roll from her.
To bring them back from cloud 9 haze, Calum blew raspberries on  Claudia's stomach. He kissed up her stomach to her neck until he reached her lips. The kiss was soft and carefree. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, holding her up. He pulled away and exaggeratedly wiggled his tongue as he kissed her, making Claudia giggle. She wrapped her fingers around his hair and sighed.
“We gotta fix this Maruchan head of yours.” Claudia mumbled twirling his hair.
He pulled out of her, making her sigh, and slipped on his shorts. He went to the kitchen and grabbed his army green Hydro Flask from the fridge. He sat on one of the stools and mindlessly scrolled through Twitter, reading all of the fans' reactions to him working out.
Seconds later Claudia came in with the conditioner and shampoo. She leaned against him, reading the instructions of the conditioner. He rested his chin on her shoulder and read the bottle with her. She motioned him to the sink.
Calum leaned back on the sink, and Claudia washed his hair. Her fingers untangled his messy curls as she massaged shampoo in them. She reached over and grabbed the sprayer hose to rinse his head. She turned around to get the conditioner. She poured some on her hand before Calum stopped her.
“Woah, woah, wait a minute,” he began. “What is this for?”
She looked at him confused, as if he didn't just read the bottle with her. “It helps your hair get all soft and less, like, stiff. Mede used it when she went blonde after having Sebas.” She looked over the bottle. “Mira, it has keratin, your hair is going to look super shiny and actually healthy.”
She didn’t wait for his response before she generously lathered the conditioner on all the dry and blonde parts. Duke wandered in the kitchen, but turned back when he saw Calum getting washed.
“Now we wait half an hour for it to work its magic on your hair.” Claudia said. She washed all the product off her hands. She eyed him and smirked. "I got an idea on what we could do for the next half hour."
***
Just as Claudia slipped him in her mouth, he suggested they get a pizza. Calum made his way to the front door for their dinner. He was so focused on the pizza order, he didn't notice Claudia left him to get some sun.
He tipped the delivery driver and made his way to the back yard. He caught his reflection in the mirror. His hair really looked shiny and healthy. He pushed it back and fluffed it up. Calum couldn't keep his hands off his hair. In all his years, his hair never felt this soft.
He set the pizza on the kitchen counter and went outside. He sat on a lounge chair surrounding a metal table. He looked over to the pool and saw a bikini clad Claudia napping on a floatie while Duke rested his head on her ass. He grabbed his phone and quickly snapped a few pictures of them. Without much thought he posted one where her face was hidden. He captioned it, 'Poolside Views' and locked his phone. He'll check the chaos he provoked later.
He grabbed a pool rod and leaned over, pushing the pool floatie to the edge. Duke woke up and yipped at him causing Claudia to wake up.
"It wasn't even ten minutes." She sighed.
"Good because you start school on Monday, and your sleep schedule needs to get fixed." Calum said.
She flipped him off. She reached for Duke and safely placed him on concrete. She grabbed the edge of the pool and awkwardly pulled herself up.
Calum was ready with a towel and one of his flannels for Claudia to slip on. He sensed that it was going to be a chilly night, so grabbed a few pieces of wood and went inside to start a fire in the living room's chimney.
Claudia emerged minutes later dressed in a lace teddy under his flannel. She placed the pizza on the coffee table in front of them and arranged the pillows so they could lean against the couch. She mindlessly scrolled through their watch list on Peacock. She smiled to herself as she queued up '3rd Rock from the Sun' knowing how much it annoyed Calum because Claudia would be heart eyes for Joseph Gordon-Levvit the whole time.
Once they finished their pizza, they cleaned up and found themselves back in the living room. They continued watching where they left off. At some point they ended up cuddling on the couch with Calum on top. Claudia was twirling around Calum's now soft curls in between her fingers when she felt him sigh in contentment. He nuzzled his head closer to her chest.
"Thank you." Calum told her quietly.
"For what?" She asked him, surprised at the comment.
"Making my hair nice and soft. I like how your fingers felt when you washed it. Made me feel special."
Claudia smiled to herself. Sometimes she just couldn't believe how sweet Calum could be.
"Maybe we can make it a day?" She suggested. She pushed back his hair. "Like selfcare Saturday,  where we spend the day relaxing. We could sleep in then get some breakfast. The rest of the day we spend it with some hair care, skin care and all that jazz."
Calum lifted his head and smiled at her. "I'd like that."
"Yeah?" She asked him. He simply nodded and went back to watching their show. Three episodes later, Calum fell asleep on her.
Claudia reached for her phone and scrolled through Instagram. She dropped her phone in shock. The phone fell on Cal’s back, starting him awake briefly before he closed his eyes again. Claudia sighed; of course that would be the first picture of her that he posts. She scrolled through the comments, relieved some weren't as bad as she assumed. Until she saw her dad's.
'Pinche Calum.'

1 - What’s your preferred way of keeping fit? Is it something you make time to do on a regular basis? I don’t do anything.
2 - Do you have fairy lights up anywhere in your home? No, but I put up some Christmas lights in my room last night.
3 - Have you ever raised a puppy? Would you want to or would your prefer to adopt an adult rescued dog? Yes, my doggo was 4 months old when we got her. She still had her baby teeth. That was our first experience raising a puppy and it was quite the experience. They really are like toddlers running around, full of energy and wanting to get into everything. Plus, you have to potty train and teach them. She was a handful and it was kinda rough in the beginning. But there was fun times, too, and lots of cuteness. I liked seeing her grow and progress. Just know that it does take a lot of time and energy.
4 - Have you ever up-cycled any furniture? Did you keep it for yourself or sell it on somewhere? Nope.
5 - Do you recycle? Yeah, we recycle plastic bottles and cans.
6 - When was the last time you were in a vehicle that wasn’t your own? Where were you going and who with? Anytime I’m in a vehicle because I don’t have one of my own since I don’t drive. The last time was with my mom when she took me to my doctor appointment.
7 - Who was the last person to come to your house? Were they an expected visitor? One of my aunts a few months ago.
8 - Who is your last missed call from? Did you ring that person back? It was an unknown number, so no.
9 - If you work, is your job the same everyday, or does it vary depending on what you have on? -
10 - Would you ever be interested in owning your own business? Why or why not? No. I just don’t have any interest or desire to do so. I don’t have any experience or expertise at all regarding running a business either. It’s just not something I’d be interested in doing.
11 - What did you buy the last time you went to the grocery store? I personally haven’t been to any store (in person) since March. I have my usual requests whenever my mom goes; though, such as coffee, coffee creamer, Maruchan pork ramen, and shredded cheese. Very important items haha.
12 - Are you wearing anything that’s your favourite colour right now? No, but I’m wrapped up in my rose gold blanket, which is one of my favorite colors.  13 - When was the last time you cut your nails? I’m constantly picking at/clipping them, soo.
14 - What did you wear the last time you went out of the house? Where were you going and what did you do there? I wore leggings and my long sleeve Disneyland shirt to my doctor appointment.
15 - Do you have your drivers license? If so, did you find it easy or difficult to learn and pass your test? I don’t have my license.
16 - What time would you consider to be a lie-in? Do you sleep in that late very often or would you rather get up early? My sleep schedule has been messed up for years, but this year it’s been especially bad and all over the place. For the longest time I was staying up until like 7 or 8AM and sleeping until anywhere between 2 and 4PM, sometimes almost 5. The last month, however, I fall asleep around like 3AM and get up around like 8AM, sometimes waking up a few times in between. Then I stay in bed for several hours, usually falling back asleep at some point, until like 3 or 4PM. I don’t know, man. It’s super weird. I don’t know how I’m functioning even a little at this point. Gee, I wonder if that plays any part at all as to why I have like no energy ever. It’s taken me like an hour at most to drag myself out of bed and to my Keurig, but now like I said I just stay in bed for hours after waking up. I think the fact that it’s finally cold here plays a part in it cause I just stay wrapped up in my blanket all cozy and it makes me even more tired and the thought of moving and being cold holds me back. The fact that coffee doesn’t even get me out of bed for a long time is crazy, though. Ha, although I have been fortunate in that my mom or brother has often brought me a Starbucks or coffee from somewhere, so that’s been nice. Then I really see no need to get out of bed, though ha.
17 - When was the last time you painted a room in your house? What colour did you pick? Never.
18 - If you have pets, how often do you buy them new treats and toys? We get her treats regularly. As for toys, it’s less often because it’s hard to find toys that she won’t just chew right through and destroy. She has a few that have managed to hold up well, though, that she plays with all the time.
19 - If you had to work a job that required you to do shifts, would you rather work the early, late or night shift? Probably the late shift. Although, it’d be kinda nice to do the morning shift just because it’d get me up and around and doing something and then by late afternoon or evening when I get off I feel like I’ve been productive with my day and can enjoy the rest of my night. Getting up would be the hard part, though :X I don’t know how I did it throughout school for so long.
20 - Is there any job you’d never consider, no matter how desperate you were for money? Yes.
21 - Do you have a favourite type of survey to take? I like ones like this with random questions. I really like ones with interesting questions that allow me to elaborate or vent if needed.
22 - If you’re home alone, would you rather have background noise or are you happy to sit in silence? I don’t like having it ever be completely silent whether I’m home or alone not, but especially if I am. I always have the TV on at least for background noise.
23 - On a typical day, how long do you spend out of the house? Since the pandemic really hit back in March and the lockdown started (and even when it was lifted) I don’t leave the house except for my doctor appointment once a month. Soo, that’s maybe a couple hours out of the house on a busy day at the doctor office or less than hour. Even prior to COVID, I spent most of my time at home. I did at least get out a little more than once a month, though.  24 - Would you rather eat in at a restaurant or grab a takeaway? Get takeout.
25 - When was the last time you went out for a meal somewhere? What did you order and was it good? Back in February. I got breakfast at Denny’s, which was was good.
26 - Do you live in a close-kit community? No.
27 - Do you find that if you drink a lot of caffeine, you need to pee more than normal? Coffee, yes.
28 - How many times a week do you go and visit other people? See the question 23. And again, even before COVID I didn’t visit other people on a regular basis like that. Honestly, I didn’t go to other people’s houses that often, it really just varied.
29 - Who was the last person to add you on Facebook or another social media account? Did you accept? I think it was some random person, in which case I denied the request. Also, it bothers me that this is 29 questions instead of 30.

For the past five or so years I've been damn terrified of becoming an alcoholic. It didn't help that I was genetically pre-disposed, and otherwise statistically likely to find myself at the bottom of a bottle. I took so many precautions, bc I was scared my relationship with alcohol was a lil more intimate than it should be, or at least it was becoming that way. I refused to drink at home. I'd very rarely drink alone, and it would always be in public (at my bar, or my restaurant). I would go sober a month at a time, multiple times a year and whenever I felt iffy. I'd always avoid alcohol if I was ever going through something emotionally, so as not to unintentionally build a crutch for it. The list goes on.
Unsurprisingly, this mindset led me to feel pretty guilty whenever I did drink, especially if I drank too much. It almost made me feel like an alcoholic already simply bc I still didn't want to go completely sober forever. "If I can't say no, I must already be addicted" type thinking.
So somehow not in spite of my efforts but rather because of them, I ended up with a bad relationship with alcohol anyway.
Right as stay at home orders were coming out, I succumbed to this idea of "inevitable alcoholism". On the day before the day I would put on my unemployment claim as my last day of work, I bought 4 bottles of wine (2 red, 2 white), a bottle of sangria, 3 cases of my favorite beers, a bottle of Kahlua, fruit infused vodka, very good tequila and finally 2 bottles of gin. I figured, if there were ever a time to drown one's self in neverending intoxication, it would be during a global pandemic christened after a well-known beer.
I had pardoned myself. I could drink whatever, whenever, however much for however long. And I could not stop me. I still felt a lil guilty, but I was gonna wash that down with something at least 9% ABV.
But I didn't. I tried, almost pathetically so.
Despite working at a bar, I realized I had little to no mixing capabilities outside of "pour alcohol first and add juice(s) later", as if it were like a cup of maruchan. My fridge was too small to accommodate both the beer and food simultaneously, so they were never cold when I kinda wanted one. And well... I was never a big fan of grapes. Raw or processed. While I did manage to get through the vodka and one bottle of gin, it took literal weeks. I ended up passing the tequila to a good friend of mine, and the other gin was just a bad brand choice.
I realize I'm not an alcoholic, I have more control over my life than I thought and I owe myself some goddamn credit. Another realization followed; I would do well to redirect this energy to my spending habits and maybe taking better care of myself.
Tl;dr It took a global crisis, but I finally feel honest saying "social drinker" on my dating profiles.

What was the bomb Ramen recipe?
Aight BOOM I finally got a chance to answer your question so here it is! Thank you for being so patient anon:
To start, I use this video as a reference regarding cooking methods and ingredients/measurements
youtube
Here’s the printed instructions for the above video
I don’t follow it fully because I don’t have all the stuff/don’t feel like doin allat, but here’s what I do use:
*1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
*2 cloves garlic (minced or grated)
*½" ginger (grated)
*Scallion (white part, diced)
*2 tsp. sesame oil
*2 tsp. chili bean paste
*2 tsp. soy sauce
*1 cup rice milk [substituted for soy]
*½ tsp Kosher salt
*Dash of white pepper
I also use the following as a personal preference:
Star Anise seeds (about 3 per serving)
Brewed Noodle Dipping Broth (optional)
Fresh Corn cut off the cob (about 1 cup per serving)
Fresh Spinach (1-2 cups per serving)
Mushrooms (sliced; about ½ cup per serving)
Red Onion (some diced, some sliced [for texture difference])
Eggs (1 per serving)
[For the pictures below, since I’m familiar with this recipe the ingredients shown aren’t exact measurements, so don’t get worried if yours don’t match up. I didn’t use all the ingredients below, but also I was cooking for 3 people {for example I only used about half the ginger on the cutting board, but all the spinach, etc etc.}
If its your first time cooking ramen/this recipe, I’d suggest going with the listed measurements for all the *starred* items until you get more comfortable with your personal taste/preference.]
Heres a few pictures of the ingredients I used, just in case you’re a visual person like myself or you also need an idea for what some of the items look like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(That hunk of yellow in the middle is grated ginger)
Tumblr media
(These are Star Anise seeds)
ALRIGHT! So you’ve got all your ingredients laid out and ready to go.
Starting with your sesame seeds, pour those into a small saucepan and toast them until they’re a nice golden brown. Make sure you start off with low heat because this can get away from you real fast, so stir them regularly every few seconds to keep them from burning.
Tumblr media
As you can see above these kinda got away from me [😅] but I was comfortable with the toasted : semi- toasted ratio so I stopped several seconds after this point. Toasting the seeds helps to bring out the oils and flavor, and you can also throw the anise seeds in there at the end for a few seconds to get those a little toasted too if you like.
Now you’re gonna grind up the seeds. Don’t have a mortar and pestle? Cool! Me either! What you might have tho is an ice cream scoop and a mug, so throw that shit in there and get to grinding! (You can also use a ziploc bag and a rolling pin, but remember to let the seeds cool before you dump them in the bag or it’ll melt [yup. been there done that 😅] ).
Tumblr media
(Unground sesame seeds)
Once you’ve got those ground up to your desired texture (mostly powdery is good, don’t feel it needs to be perfect you just wanna smash open a good amount of the seeds) start heating up your medium sized pot on low.
This would be the 1:18 mark in the video above, and you’re gonna follow the instructions as so up until 2:18.
Start with your sesame seed oil and let that heat up (only takes a few seconds). Then, dump in your garlic, ginger, and white parts of the scallions ( I call them green onions but whatever lmao) and let that cook for a lil until that shit starts smellin good (or until the white parts of the onion get a little translucent). You can play with your fire a little bit but sesame oil burns fast so try to keep it on the low side to keep your food and pot from burning.
Now, if you’re like me and adding red onion and mushroom too, you can add that in now to get those cookin. The mushrooms might soak up a bit of your oil so feel free to add a little more sesame oil and cook until your veggies are evenly coated. Don’t worry about the mushrooms not being thoroughly cooked yet cuz they’ll soak up the flavors of the broth and get cooked with the next few steps. Don’t forget to add in your sesame and anise seed powder now.
Tumblr media
(Forgot to add the mushrooms here lol)
Feel free to turn your heat up to low medium at this point to get your pot headed in a nice simmering direction. Now, you’re gonna add your chili paste, soy sauce, and dipping broth (a quick splash is good enough) and stir that in nicely as well.  I suggest tasting all these ingredients before adding them so you have an idea of the spice and sodium content you’re working with, as well as the flavors. I like my food spicy and not too salty, so I use extra chili paste and low sodium soy sauce.
Tumblr media
(Does not include soy sauce or dipping broth yet. Still no mushrooms XD)
The dipping broth I use has a little bit of a sweet flavor in it, so I keep that in mind to prevent from adding too much (if you’re using fresh corn the sweetness will also be heightened, tempting you to add more salt). All of the above ingredients have a good salt content tho, so be mindful of that if you need to watch your salt intake. Also! Taste as you go. That way if you need to add a little of anything you can add it in before you get to the finish line.
[You also may want to take a moment to start another pot of boiling water for your ramen noodles at this point.]
You can turn up your heat now to medium, because we’re about to add in the milk. The recipe above calls for soy milk, personally I use rice milk, but if you wanna use another non dairy milk, thats also great! (I’ve only used soy and rice milk tho so I can’t dictate what the taste may be like with another type of milk)
If you’re not fucking with non dairy milk (understandable lmao) see the substitutions I provided down below.
Add in your milk, stirring to blend all the flavors. You can pour half, stir a little, and pour the other half, or pour it all at once and stir, or pour little by little while stirring. The point is, it doesn’t matter how you do it, long as your pour the shit in there and stir it together 😂. Once you get that all mixed in nicely, you can turn your pot up to full medium or even a low high, to get it bubbling.
Tumblr media
(A non bubbling but very delicious pot of broth)
The raw looking onion up there is just the leftover onion slices I added in for texture. At this point, I like to add a little salt and white pepper into my broth and give it a little taste test to see where its at. Sometimes I use a pinch of sea salt, sometimes just regular salt, it depends on what I feel like reaching for. They’re both the same to me, but again if you need to be mindful of your salt intake for personal or health reasons, you can go ahead n skip this step. I also add a few handfuls of fresh spinach to get that cooking down. ***Also don’t forget to add your corn in too!***
Tumblr media
Check on your pot of boiling water, and if its ready, go ahead and add your noodles in.  Feel free to use whatever ramen noodles you want, be it Top Ramen, Neoguri, Maruchan, its all up to you. I used Shin Ramyun noodles, in case you’re curious. Cook the noodles as directed.
Tumblr media
I don’t really use the flavor packets, because 1) ummm we just made some bomb ass homemade ramen broth SON!!! get that shit outta here 😤😤 but also 2) the salt content is out of this world, and as you keep hearing me say, you wanna keep an eye on that.
BUTTTT if you’re tasting your broth and you feel like maybe it could use a lil sum sum, sometimes I’ll add in a couple sprinkles of the flavor packet to give it a little extra spice and umph (the noodle packs up there are Gourmet Spicy), but I really don’t add much, maybe two amounts of whats shown in the spoon depending how many people I’m cooking for. (Maybe a little more if my grannys not looking lol)
Tumblr media
I do however use the vegetable packet, so dump that in the broth too.
Tumblr media
I’ll also crack an egg or two into the pot and let that get cooking. I don’t like the boiled runny yolk versions you’ll normally find in ramen, but I like eggs, so I like this much better. Its basically scrambled egg, just wet lol.
Tumblr media
(The egg is the little flecks of yellow and white in the pot)
Try to prevent immediately stirring the egg once you crack it in the pot, otherwise you’ll get little baby disintegrated bits, which is okay, but if you want to taste good amounts of egg with the rest of your ingredients, try the following:
Let it sit for maybe half a minute after cracking (start by doing one egg at a time) then taking some wooden chopsticks, or a fork, and just mix back and forth through your broth. If you’re doing this while the pot is still boiling or on medium heat, it won’t take long for your egg to cook, so don’t get worried about the possibility of uncooked egg in the pot. Give it about 2 minutes, maybe a little more for comfort, and you’re good to go! Put your pot on low and let it simmer.
Go ahead and check on your noodles now, they should be done now or close to it. Once they are, drain the water out of the pot and set aside. Sometimes I forget this part, but you want to drain the water to keep the noodles from getting to the translucent/overcooked stage, unless thats your personal preference.
Now if you’re anything like me, you’re probably up there lookin at the last three photos like “woooow Homie, you out here providing ramen recipes but you aint providing the recipe for them potstickers you got goin in the back,”
Tumblr media
First of all, mind ya bidness
Tumblr media
Nosy ass….
Second of all, these from Trader Joes bruh!
Tumblr media
They’re the Thai Shrimp Gyoza ones and they’re in the frozen section.  As you can see, I panfried them, using olive oil and sesame oil (like 1 tablespoon each) and these shits are bomb af. See? Don’t I be comin thru for yall?
Tumblr media
But anyway, back to the ramen recipe.
NIGGA you done!! All you gotta do is plate your noodles in a bowl, ladle your broth in there, sprinkle your green onions on top, maybe add little sriracha and BOOM
Tumblr media
Congratulations! You just made some bomb ass ramen homie!!!! (peep the panda chopsticks :D)
Tumblr media
Now go put on your favorite show, kick back, and get to grubbin!
Warning: You will absolutely knock tf out after devouring this shit, so clear a space and prepare for that lmao. Trust me, I do it every time 😂😂
Tumblr media
////Substitutions////
For the Garlic, Ginger, and Onion, feel free to use the powder versions instead if you don’t have fresh on hand.
There is also sesame seed powder and, apparently, anise seed powder (don’t ask me where to find those two because ionknow)
Kosher Salt- as far as i’m concerned salt is salt, like I said I use regular or sea salt if you don’t have kosher
Rice or Soy Milk- If you wanna use dairy milk, I’d say start with half a cup of dairy and then half a cup of vegetable or chicken broth (low sodium versions are a thing). This will help make it creamy without compromising too much of the flavor you’ve built up. Again, taste as you go to tweak as needed.
Soy Sauce can of course be substituted for the low sodium kind.
Fresh Ingredients: For Corn, Spinach, Mushrooms and even Onions, Frozen or Canned works just as well and its a significantly cheaper option (idk bout canned onions tho). If you’re going the canned route, make sure to just rinse it out first before adding to get rid of any extra salt content and preservatives that might be floating around in there.
***Black pepper can be subbed for white, theres no difference
I know the struggles college students, those on budgets, and peeps who live in food deserts may have when it comes to getting some of these ingredients, so don’t feel you gotta have it all to make it taste good. Just work with what you got, get a little crafty and experiment a little, and maybe try some new things and see how you like it! (Like, seriously, rice milk is great I love it 😂 )
Lastly, this recipe is vegetarian and vegan friendly! (Sans egg for the vegans of course) so its super enjoyable for yall as well!
I’m not vegan nor vegetarian, and I have added meat sometimes in the past, but I like this version the best because it just taste the best to me.
If you try the recipe, feel free to shoot me an ask and tell me how it went! Now go get cookin! :D

Saturday adventure! I had a couple of errands to run on the other side of town, so decided to make a day of it and check out a few interesting places as well.
Tumblr media
This is somewhat similar to the style of shoe I’m looking for, but I have really tall feet, and these are comparatively flat. Also, the biggest size available was an 8.5... and, uhh, they’re ninety dollars for some reason.
Tumblr media
This is a bit less of what I was going for, but still a really cool design, and was actually available in a thirteen. I might actually have gotten a pair of these... if they weren’t on sale for the low low price of eighty bucks. Uh, no thanks on that.
Tumblr media
This is the time of year to go out in search of carrot-themed items... but sadly, all this thrift store had were banana book ends.
Tumblr media
The main event! The nice people at Lowes were, in fact, willing to cut my big evil key blank for me. The way it normally works is that you pay the price listed on one of their key blanks and the cutting is considered a free service... but since I brought in my own blank, that kinda complicated things. It all worked out in the end though, and I was surprised to discover that having a longer key makes for a significantly smoother door-opening experience.
Tumblr media
At Big Lots, I happened to find my single favorite instant ramen of all time. I have no idea why the stores stopped carrying it, since it seemed relatively popular... maybe it’s just the curse of everything I like being discontinued. I don’t know whether Maruchan is still producing this stuff, but I bought the store’s entire supply, so for the time being I’ll just be happy that I was even able to find it.
Tumblr media
Speaking of instant ramen, they also had Cup Noodle with a Jump Force cross-promotion... Is this game already out? Has it been out long enough for these to end up in a job lot store? Huh.
Tumblr media
Next was G33k Out, a local tabletop gaming store and supplier of all things geeky, which I happened to find on the map while plotting a route between two places. It was right by a book store I wanted to visit, so I decided to pop in.
I wonder what kind of tasty things are in their cooler case...
Tumblr media
...Huh.
Tumblr media
I was seriously tempted by this selection of enamel pins, and had to tell myself that it would be more fulfilling (and significantly cheaper) to 3D print and paint Pokemon gym badges myself, which I’ve already done with the Kanto badges.
Tumblr media
They sell drinks in glass bottles, and had a bucket for bottle caps set up... designed to look like a collections jar. Clever! Unfortunately, these days thinking of Fallout just makes me think of Fallout 76 and how, for three solid months, Bethesda was consistently generating new controversies every couple days.
Finally, lunch at Haeorum!
Tumblr media
...Will be getting its own dedicated post, because I ended up writing a lot about it, and this post has gone on long enough already.

Tumblr, Attempt #?
So, here I go again trying another tumblr account. I have had some in the past, but kinda just stop using it after a bit. So I’m trying again, this time just giving myself a place to write, and just write.
I may write some poetry from time to time, likely rant a lot. Sometimes just put my thoughts out there, because I’m a weird individual that just likes to publish his thoughts. I stopped doing it for a while because I was afraid of being judged and frankly, afraid of putting those I love in awkward situations.
While I still worry about that, I noticed that really, over the past few years, my mental health has deteriorated. Enough so, that while I’m seeking medical help, I also just need a safe place to put these thoughts.
So, lets start.
I’m 30, married and have a less than 1year old Son. While I’m married, I’m currently separated. We’re seeking help, but to be frank, the separation is my fault. I’ve had a large integrity...well honesty issue my entire life. And well, that issue reared its ugly head about 3-4 months ago, causing my life to be thrown into a blender.
The issue was this: I was feeling depressed and uh...dammit, what’s the word? Uh...passion-less, ahhh here’s the word. Purpose-less. I was feeling depressed and purposeless and at the time this started (about 6 months ago) I started kinda distancing myself from everyone, well distancing myself is a nice way to put it. I began lying to everyone, lying about how I was feeling including lying to my therapist. I was lying about going to work consistently, I was going to work maybe, MAYBE 50% of the time. And well, I was in a trade job, and getting paid more than I have ever been paid, and in this particular trade, if I didn’t work, I wouldn’t get paid. There was no paid vacation or personal days, or even benefits. So missing work meant that I was missing income, which is needed for my family.
Now, of course, I write this with that 20/20 past perspective. I see all that I should have done, and regret not doing it. But I know that 1) I can’t go back and change it, and that 2) my feelings were what they were at the time. Truth is, I know NOW that my feeling of purposelessness was partially because depression is a bitch. But also because my purposelessness was selfish. Fact is, I’m a father, I’m a husband, providing for my family should be my primary purpose anymore.
Granted, I admit that is hard. For as long as I can remember I always had goals, I wanted to go to a specific college, I wanted to make a specific choir, I wanted to work in a specific area of the US, I wanted to work a specific career. When I met my girlfriend (now wife) I began reevaluating those things, this woman was wonderful, she fit the things I had always asked for and prayed for, she even carried similar (but different) baggage that I knew was something that we could “bond” over and get stronger together at. I also knew she was different than me in key areas that could push me and help me.
My first mistake is that I began seeing those differences as a burden and hindrance, instead of seeing how it would help me. My second mistake was that I began not cherishing her, not being grateful for her. My third (and worst) mistake is that I began treating her how I treat so many of those who I’m close to, I began viewing her as someone to manipulate. Now, I guess I should clarify, I guess I really don’t view EVERYONE that is close to me as someone I can manipulate. But my general MO in life has always been to use resources, when I was a kid, I’d steal money from my parents to get or do whatever I wanted. I once lived with my best friend and we both smoked weed, when he went out of town for work, I’d smoke his weed because I was out and I wanted some. With my wife, I would lie to avoid confrontation, I would pawn her stuff to pay bills, even making the large mistake of pawning her wedding ring just so I could pay rent. Of course I had plans to get those things back so she wouldn’t find out, but, in retrospect, it would have sent us 1) in further debt and 2) the damage really had been done (both to my self and to her).
So, over the course of our first few years of marriage I had/have broke the thing which is paramount to any marriage. Trust.
So, going back to about 3-4 months ago. My wife finds out that I haven’t really been going to work, and been lying about a lot again. Needless to say, ALL THE SHIT hits the fan. And rightfully/understandably so. My wife didn’t feel comfortable with me staying at home and she needed me to get a job, oh and there were some mutual friends we both had that I couldn’t stay with, to avoid any kind of awkward situation. Unfortunately for me, all my friends that aren’t mutual, do not live in the same area as myself. So, I was stuck sleeping in my car while I found a job.
Fast forward about 3 weeks, I’ve got a job, and I’m allowed to stay with one of our mutual friends who has an understanding of what’s going on. I’m still not allowed to stay at the house, which honestly, I understand completely. My wife is processing about 3 years of me being...well...an asshole, an asshole that would have been kicked out by ANYBODY.
Fast forward to now.
Frankly, I’m not sure WHAT to write at this point.
Truth is, I miss my wife, and I miss my son. We’re at a point where now I get to see him once a week and it may be the most exciting thing to happen in the past few months. I’ve missed him enormously, I’ve missed him growing, learning to crawl, and more. He might be what I miss the most, but barely, BARELY, edging out my wife. I miss her, I miss her smile (even when she was putting it on to try to keep the peace), I miss her curves, I miss her face she makes when she’s annoyed by me. (which I admit, I need to learn to figure out how to process that because honestly, it hurts when she’s annoyed by things that are just kinda intrinsically part of my personality) I miss cuddling with her, I miss her voice, I miss her insight into things, I really miss watching things with her, I desperately miss enjoying geeky things together ( we both really love The Game Theorists) I also really miss sharing our interests.
Looking back at the 3ish weeks in my car though. It does make me think, 1) that I can survive sleeping my car for an extended period of time and use resources around me for basic hygiene. 2) that I’m seriously fortunate to have a roof over my head, a basic place to sleep that fits me (at 6′ 190″ there are very few vehicles that I could sleep in comfortably), running water, and have food to eat. ( I wasn’t starving for those 3 weeks, but I wasn’t eating healthy by any means (i’m looking at you Sodium and Carbs Maruchan Ramen)) and 3) that I’m very lucky to live in an area where there are places that you can spend a day when you’re not job looking, and use their internet for additional job looking and entertainment.
Right now, I’m lonely and uncomfortable with it. But, I’m able to write this using internet, while listening to movie commentary. And I am unbelievably fortunate. I’m also fortunate that I found a job that I think fits me very well, keeps me on my feet, and is a job that I have benefits, paid vacation and personal days, and pays well enough that even in an expensive AF place like LA I could have a decent quality of life. (for the record, I’m not in LA, but I lived there for a few months once and that place is expensive as hell, and I’m making more now than what I did back then, so that’s my reference point.) Oh, and I have a second job to help pay rent since I’ve been here for a while, pay off my credit card (that has been invaluable since this shit hit the fan), and buy gas and food.
Anyway, I think I have sufficiently brain-dumped for this post.
In the future, it won’t always be this long of a post, or even this heavy. I’m likely to write thoughts on movies or TV shows I’m currently watching. Occasionally poetry (because I’ve found over the past couple few months, that writing poetry, even if it’s shitty has really helped me) or maybe something mildly intellectual about story writing or analytical about entertainment. Because that’s how my brain works.
Anyway signing off.

Ramen: Soy Sauce.
Tumblr media
Hello everybody, hope you are having an amazing day today. Today, I'm gonna show you how to prepare a distinctive dish, ramen: soy sauce. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.
Ramen: Soy Sauce is one of the most well liked of current trending foods in the world. It's appreciated by millions every day. It's easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. They're fine and they look fantastic. Ramen: Soy Sauce is something which I have loved my entire life.
To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook ramen: soy sauce using 5 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.
The ingredients needed to make Ramen: Soy Sauce:
{Take 1 of ramen packet, or cup ramen. Any flavor.
{Take 2 tbsp of soy sauce (adjustable).
{Prepare 1 of egg.
{Get 1 cup of frozen broccoli florets or whatever they're called.
{Make ready 1/2 cup of frozen green beans.
Steps to make Ramen: Soy Sauce:
Now, this all depends on what brand of ramen you're using. All of the Cup noodles should be cooked with their seasoning, as should the spicy packet brand Shin Ramyun, or any kinda brand that provides a dehydrated veggie packet to add. Maruchan and Nissin, on the other hand, should Not be cooked with their flavor packets. They get congealed and disgusting, don't do it..
After you have determined which type you're using (cook the flavor in or stir in after), boil an egg. There are a few ways to boil an egg, I always do hard boiled because I hate the yolks anyways, so I put mine in with the lukewarm water and raise to a boil for 10 minutes, and then shut the heat off and let it sit, covered, for another 5 before draining, chilling, peeling and slicing. The way you take your egg is entirely up to you..
After rinsing your pot to get rid of the egg shell taste, put a new pot of water on. If you are cooking the seasoning in, add it now, along with the dehydrated veggie pack (if added), soy sauce, and the frozen vegetables. If you aren't cooking the seasoning in, then just add the frozen veggies. Put the soy sauce into the bowl you're using, along with the seasoning packet..
Once your water and veggie mixture has come to a boil, add the noodles. This is probably redundant since it's Ramen, but. I'm thorough. Let your noodles boil until they're either completely cooked (able to twirl a single noodle around the fork without it being stiff, if you don't want to bite a hot noodle), or a smidge before that, when they're still a bit stiff, if you want to let your hot ramen soup cool to a reasonable temperature..
Drain any excess water you don't want, and pour your ramen into a bowl. Put the sliced egg on top, and you have a yummy soy flavored veggie and egg ramen dish!.
So that's going to wrap this up with this exceptional food ramen: soy sauce recipe. Thanks so much for reading. I am sure you can make this at home. There's gonna be interesting food at home recipes coming up. Don't forget to bookmark this page in your browser, and share it to your family, colleague and friends. Thank you for reading. Go on get cooking!

Consumption Blog: Day 27ish
Wat’s happenin everyone! Today I stayed up LATE for NO REASON :D
I woke up with some more Placement tunes, and went upstairs to get some toast. We made up three mini bagels worth of toast, which was p delicious if I do say so myself. After this I hung out with a friend of mine for a bit and played some Valorant for about an hour before getting to work on the bouncy ball essay. I should mention that as I’ve been doing this essay writing I’ve been reading the assigned articles and book chapters to find sources that support my argument. In my paper I cited I want that!: How we all became shoppers, The Theory of Supermarkets, The Place and Space of Consumption in a Material World and A Primer For Daily Life, specifically the chapter Unwrapping Use Value. While some of them are kinda dry, overall I’m pretty intrigued by the concepts and topics of discussion. So I worked on that for idk ever? As I did I played a lot of Emancipator, including the entire Baralku album. Specifically, I looped Time for Space and  Rappahannock many times as I went.
In the middle I stopped to eat some lunch, and made up a bowl of ramen. We use maruchan chicken ramen (None of the places we’ve been shopping have better ramen!! I’m sad), fish sauce, soy sauce, siracha, a small packet of mixed vegetables, and two eggs. That was delicious, but right after I got back to work on that essay. I finished it in the afternoon sometime, and to celebrate I ended up playing some more Valorant. After this I realized that a trailer had been released for a TV show I watch with my father and sibling. The show is called The Expanse, and it’s an excellent science fiction show that I would highly recommend. Anyways it just released the trailer for it’s fifth season, so I watched that with my pops and ate an unreasonable amount of cheez-its before doing some more work (this time getting ready for portfolio review). During this I looped some more Watsky stuff, since I wasn’t writing anymore and could stand to listen to something with lyrics.
At the end of the day I wasn’t feeling too hungry, so I just had some saltines and Havarti cheese. Havarti’s a pretty ok cheese I guess. It’s no gouda, but it’s got some flavor.
I played a little Titanfall 2 and hung out in a voicecall with some friends before calling it a night (waaaaay too late), brushing my teeth, and heading to bed. I need a shower, but... I’m too tired. That can wait for tomorrow.
See yall then I guess!! In the tomorrow, not the shower. Hopefully.
God I’m so tired
Here’s this thing

To buck and other anon: Cons get better each year as their popularity increases, so wait a couple and a local con could become huge and super fun, also most cons have quite rooms for sensory overload
ahh  friendddd, i am expertienced  in conventions here. I am 21 and have been attending them since i was 14.
In the beggining we used to have Anime conventions only and western comic only, for some reason western comic ones went into a halt i think for a bit. there used to be real good and neatly organized, in big spaces and stuff.
But here anime cons have always had the division between morning activities and late night activities.
conventions  began to have a sub convention that started at night and  it was (still is) a place where u go and there are these 5 same girls  in erotic cosplay trying to pole dance while these sweaty dudes praise them. the stench is terrible.  the “cosplay” constests are all rigged and the whole thing is a fucking den of alcohol, alternative rock bands that only their moms knows them and sometimes SOMETIMES an anime opening can be heard (it used to focus  on japanese music mostly but that went  on decline when they just wnated UHHH THE UNDERGOUND SCENE NEEDS PARTYYY kinda stuff and it’s not a con but a party for social outcasts, which i think it’s cool but nowadays it’s not a con but just, a party night ANYWAY).
around 2011 morning conventions began to decline  in quality and organization, being in smaller places, with “where is my hug?” dudes and a 2 hours long queue to get maruchan cup noodles. to the  point  animoo cons began to be hosted  in sketchy centers and ultimately parks (mostly the japanese garden wanting more visitors cause  no one was going there lmao).  anyway small anime conventions were left to god knows who and they are not the nice thing  i used to go to with my friends when i was 14-15.
in 2015 they began to re-gain a bit of composture and be a bit of what they used to buuut the big places cons are nowhere  in sight. around this year we began to AGAIN have the “comic-con” which is  kinda well organized, food is real expensive, it’s not  really worth it and it’s a south american bootleg San Diego stuff (IMO).
conventions here do not have special rooms to quiet down, that room is going outside of the convention place and cooling out in the shade.
conventions of any type here always have the same issue, long queues to get in, really expensive food and the entertainment goes away too fast and sometimes the youth doesnt care about the event more than about WHAT MERCH CAN I GET, i would know hehe.
And pelase do not get me started on the gaming ones, cause the gaming show ones are THE WORST in organization and they really do not know what they are doing and it’s really sad cause people want to have a good time and the invited player teams can barely show off  IF they even get to sit down and play.
idek, I wanna believe they will get better but for now im a nostalgic shit remebering teen days. but eh, gonna keep hoping for the best!!!
