I haven't posted much about Miraculous in my time but it's becoming increasingly clear to me that the majority of its English fanbase has no idea how to pronounce Chat, so. just as a reminder for everyone
It's pronounced Sha. The T is silent
Our favorite lad Chat Noir is pronounced Sha Noir, no CH sound like in Chatroom and certainly no T sound at the end

Nerdy!Miguel that’s at your doorstep in one of his large sweaters with “Not all math puns are terrible. Just sum!” written on the front.
Nerdy!Miguel that pushes up his thick rimmed glasses on his nose bridge over and over again since it keeps falling from the nervous sweats coming out his pores.
Nerdy!Miguel who holds a bouquet of flowers in his hand, an arrangement of pink tulips, red roses, baby blue forget-me-nots and pink peonies. Miguel plucked some dandelions on the way to your doorstep and added them in.
Nerdy!Miguel who flushes bright red when you open the door, his heart sinking when you look at him in anger and make your way to close the door again.
Nerdy!Miguel that stops you with a shout of your name, his voice meek and pleading.
“Please! Just…Just a moment of your time.” He gulps and watches as you stare him up and down.
Your eyes squint at his attire—he looks more like his original self. You keep the door open.
“3 Minutes.”
Miguel gives you a weak smile. “Five minutes?”
“Two minutes.”
Miguel closes his mouth quickly. “I’m sorry. I—“ He clutches the bouquet in his hands tightly enough for it to shake slightly.
“I’m…so sorry for hurting you. I promise I didn’t mean you any harm in ignoring you—I didn’t think…” He screws his eyes shut as the embarrassment of his actions washes over him.
“I didn’t know but that’s no excuse. I just—It’s just that I…” He wheezed out his nexts words, using his entire strength to usher out the next few words.
“I really like you. So I wanted you to like me back…but now I know I can’t force you and I know that…changing myself didn’t even work so…” Miguel stares down at his feet and stretches his arms out to hand you the collection of flowers.
“You don’t need to forgive me. Hell, you can throw these flowers out, o-or shut the door or pretend you never knew me or—or anything. I only wanted to apologize because it’s the least I can do for hurting you, intentionally or not. I’m sorry.”
Miguel feels you gently take the bouquet from his hands and he stiffly places his arms at his side.
“It was really stupid what you did.” You say softly. Miguel hangs his head further down.
“I know.”
“Nothing what you did was natural.”
“I know.”
“It hurt me a lot.”
“I know.”
“Especially since I really liked the old you.”
“I know—wait—huh?” Miguel looks back up and sees you looking solemnly at the set of flowers. “You liked me?”
“I did.” Miguel deflates at the past tense. Did, not do.
“So I…really messed up with you.” He mumbles. “I’m an idiot.”
You laugh softly and take a rose from the bouquet. “You are.”
“I’m really sorry.” He whispers to you, his voice oozing with guilt.
“I know. I forgive you.” You say, tucking the rose behind his ear and he blinks down at you with all the love in his heart.
“You do?” He asks hopefully.
“Mhm. I knew it wasn’t you. I knew something was up. So yes, I forgive you.”
“But you don’t like me anymore.”
“It’s complicated.”
“Is—hit me if i’m being stupid again—but is there a chance that…you could like me again? Because I still really, really, really like you.” Now that Miguel has said his feelings out loud, it feels much easier to say them again and again.
You take a moment to respond. “Yeah. I think so.”
Miguel feels his legs buckle and he falls to his knees, looking up at you with hopeful shine in his eyes. You take a step back in surprise watching Miguel grip at his sweater. He can feel his heart pounding painfully against his chest and he hopes to God that you can’t hear it.
“Thank you.” He sighs. “Thank you for even considering giving me a second chance.”
You grow flustered at his shameless display of gratitude. “H-Hold on! Miggy, get up off the floor! It’s dirty!” You kneel in front of him and try to lift him back up. Miguel feels a pleasant shiver run through his body when you utter his nickname.
He looks at you like you’ve put the stars in the sky, like you’re the warm sunshine he bathes in, the moonlight he admires every night. And he believes all of those things one hundred percent.
“I promise I won’t mess it up this time.” Miguel murmurs to you with a kind smile.
“You better not.” You threaten playfully, retouching the rose that had partially fallen off when he dropped to his knees.
Nerdy!Miguel who reverts back to his old self, the one you loved since the beginning.
“You will have to apologize multiple times for calling me a bitch.” You mutter disdainfully.
Miguel bows his head in shame. “Of course.”
Nerdy!Miguel who pampers you for as long as you like; who makes up for his mistakes everyday without a single complaint.
Nerdy!Miguel who whines loudly in embarrassment and buries himself in your shoulder when you bring up that one time he called you a bitch.

“IM THE WEEKEND”
— slimy men who fuck young women. who cares about the ring on their finger? surely not them. it’s just a one time thing.. every week.
w/ geto suguru, kong shiu, fushiguro toji
,, x black fem!reader , infidelity , warnings by the names <3
Tumblr media
“You take Wednesday, Thursday
Then just send him my way
Think I got it covered for the weekend” — SZA, The Weekend
Tumblr media
Friday w/ Suguru
— face riding , use of pet names
sweet lies in exchange for an even sweeter pussy. that’s all there is to it, suguru thinks. telling his wife he works later on fridays, “to get more work done”, only to get home in the depths of early morning. walking past the food left out on the table for him and preparing for a long shower to, hopefully, wash off all the markings on his back.
but he can’t care all too much about his infidelity when he’s pulled into the threshold of your house. talks about your day disappearing between your lips when he’s pushed onto the cushion of your couch. and it wasn’t long until he was in his favorite place. underneath you. big brown thighs wrapped around his face with a hand tugging his hair.
“s’so good sugu..” you whine, biting your lip softly as suguru’s tongue traverses along your folds. the muscle was finding discoveries of the world of your pussy with the way he flicks it. “yea? keep movin’ baby.” suguru groans, his hand around your thigh moving up to your waist, squeezing the plush and guiding you to move your hips in rotation. “o-okay.. kinda tired.” you steady yourself, moving your hand from his hair, pressing the brown cushion as you slowly begin to move your hips in the way he guides you. suguru kisses your clit before pressing his tongue flat to your folds, letting you get off onto it on your own with his eyes closed in content. the gummy lips push against his pink muscle, his tongue slipping between the folds and gaining the taste of your juices. his dick twitches inside his business slacks, the pure taste of your ready cunt has him eager for what’s to come.
pun intended <3
Saturday w/ Shiu
— public sex (light) , use of pet names
partying with his friends might’ve become an overused excuse for shiu. considering the constant dings of his phone and the way his wife would let out an exaggerated sigh when he mentions the “scheduled” get together. but he’s too lazy to think up something new when he knows she’s sleeping with his co-worker. it’s fine as long as he gets to keep seeing the cute pastry girl down the street. the same woman he has bent over the counter of her own establishment. last customer perks of course.
you grip the wooden counter tightly, fingers surely to cramp later, as shiu holds onto your waist, fucking you into the table with harsh thrusts, but not enough to knock down the props of food that sat on it “s-slow down! someone might see!” you cry out, looking at the glass windows that would clearly display your shameless act to passersby, who you hope won’t look in. “not sure that’s g’nna change anything sweetheart. dont’cha got a sign up? we’ll be fineeee.” shiu drawls, not caring too much for your worries and admiring the skin of your back. your melanin glowed under the yellow lights, adorned with pretty yellow panties that were hidden under your cute green ruffle dress that had long fallen to the floor.
he switches to a slower pace, his dick sliding through you sluggishly to feel every ridge within you that would surely get ruined. you huffed, bringing a hand behind you, feeling the skin of his stomach and pushing, “nuh uh! please? we can just go in the back..” you’re reduced to a deep sigh as he fills you up to the hilt with his cock, a low “thoughtful” hum leaving him while he massages your plump ass with one hand, the other gripping your wrist.
“shh, the quicker you cum, the faster we’ll leave. be good f’me and take it like you always do.”
Sunday w/ Toji
— hair gripping , face fucking , use of pet names , teacher x parent , reader wears glasses (like me!)
Toji can’t care too much to give a fuck about his wife’s yelling when she sees the random pairs of panties and bras around his house. not like he actually wants to be with her. just a few more months with that tramp, then his family will be off his back about marriage. until then, he’ll keep messing around with megumi’s teacher, she’s a good woman. especially on her knees..
“y’know.. gumi was reallyyy bummed about that score friday, m’sure a sweet thing like you could just bump up his grade.” toji snickers, watching you roll your eyes, fed up with his weekly saying. but no doubt about it, his son’s a perfectionist. way different from his father. toji unconsciously licks his lips as you kiss the tip of his dick before you're forced to take it between those glossy lips of yours, his large hand holding your box braids into a ponytail, carefully of course.
his pockets are not in shape for another $300 withdraw.
“mm mm, can’t—“ you try to speak with the girth in your mouth, glasses tilting down your nose as he eased himself into the wet cavern of your mouth. eventually, your eyes start to water with the strain, closing them tight. “relax y’r throat sweetie — that’s a good girl.” toji grins, taking away the eye glasses, closing them and placing them on your desk. spit and saliva leave a nice sheen along his cock as he begins to fuck your face. “now what was that? riight, the grade, i’m sure you’ll re-think it after i cum down this fuckin’ throat.”

Hurried Morning

Hurried Morning
Joel says that he is merely feeling generous with you as he pulls your half-naked frame into his lap, so that your back is resting comfortably against his broad chest. You want to say that he is simply lazy but it’s not like you are ever going to let that slip from your mouth.
It’s late Sunday morning and you’re both seated against the headboard of Joel’s bed. Sarah will be home just before noon, and Joel has to change his bedsheets, air out the room, have a shower and maybe fix up some lunch for him and his daughter. You, on the other hand, just have to get cleaned up and go home before she is here.
He doesn’t have to tell you about his generosity; you know he is insatiable, giving and generous by now, actually knew about a week after the first night that he had taken you to his bed. You know it is cliche to sleep with the hot neighbor, but no one knows about it yet, so you’ll bask in the beauty of how he makes you tremble until someone finds out that you’re screwing the hot single father. You pray, no pun intended, it isn’t the God-fearing Adlers.
You’re in a loose t-shirt that screams weekend, a Batman logo on your chest, but beneath the hem, a pair of cotton panties with a little bow cover your core. You rest your head against Joel’s shoulder as he rests right hand just above your belly button, it seeming undecided at whether or not to go down. His left hand is placed on top of your thigh, scratching slightly until you shiver.
“Do you have a plan with those hands?” You ask him.
“We ain’t got much time,” he muses with a sigh in his pretty little Texas accent. You squirm a little, “I’ll just have to forget myself for a moment, hopefully I’ll forgive myself for it.”
“You’re not going to fuck me?” You ask with disappointment in your tone but the left hand curls around your thigh to pull it a little to the side, opening you up for him.
“‘Fraid not, sweetheart, but I’ll have you chanting my name anyway,” he spreads out your other leg too, noses along your throat and grins into your skin as he sees your toes curl in anticipation.
“O-okay,” you reply, simply waiting for more.
Joel kisses your throat then, right hand descending to hover over your underwear. He only hesitates for a split-second before he cups your sex, fingers sliding over your cunt and then rubbing his whole palm over you to feel the warmth radiating through the fabric. You sigh contentedly.
“Feels good?” He asks, holding his hand there for a moment and a bit of slick seeps out of you. For someone who said that you were short on time together, he sure is taking it.
“Yes,” you try to breathe in deeply but the breath ends up hitching in your throat as he finds your clit on the outside of your underwear. The pads of his index- and middle finger rub slow and lazy circles.
“So this is what we’re gonna do,” he booms behind you. You ready yourself for instructions, “I’ll make you come on my fingers, and then you’re gonna go home and not think ‘bout me all day and night. Night, do you hear me? Especially all night.”
Oh good lord, that went straight to your pussy. You nod quickly, “Whatever you say. I’ll do it.”
The fingers on your clit disappear again but only so Joel can use his thumb instead, and you’re reminded of how huge his hands and fingers are. He presses down on your sensitive nub for a moment, and blood rushes between your legs.
His free hand goes from your thigh to slide up under your t-shirt, cupping one of your breasts to squeeze before his thumb and forefinger tease your nipple. It hardens immediately, and you instinctively buck up your hips. It makes Joel hum behind you, and soon, you feel his generous size poke into the small of your back. It is unbearable to remember that he told you that he won’t put it in you.
“You don’t have to say anything, I know,” he tells you as you moan into the room, turning your head so your face is towards his jaw. You have your eyes squeezed shut as he scratches a little from side to side, making you clench around nothing but emptiness. He continues speaking filth, “I know, baby. I’ll touch you properly soon. Hang in there.”
Your legs shift a little on the sheets when he starts going in circles again, coaxing more arousal out of you until your panties feel sticky. To think that you were happy that you had a pair that wasn’t ruined by him, and with a chance of being dry underneath the jeans that you were going to wear as you walked home later.
You moan a little louder as a bolt of arousal pulls from inside your cunt and goes to your clit. You can feel it pulse against the fabric, against Joel’s thick finger.
“You can have it all, baby— shit, listen to you,” he gropes your breast obscenely, even tugs a little, as he rubs you off with a little more pressure. You want more than this, want him to go inside and relieve some of the pressure that builds inside of you.
“Please, Joel,” you plead shakily, “It’s not enough.”
“I know, never is,” he removes both hands from your body but only to slide them up and down your thighs a few times, finally going inwards to grab on either side of the front of your underwear. He pulls the fabric upwards and taut against your clit, making you whimper as he doesn’t relent quickly again, “Bet you could come so prettily like this. Bet you you’ll go home and do it to yourself later whilst not thinking of me.”
Joel’s breath is hot against the shell of your ear, even slightly elevated from what the both of you are doing. He is still rock hard against you, so you grind back into him.
“Stop,” he commands immediately. His hand flies up to grab the front of your throat, fingers digging slightly into your carotid artery and making your head spin.
“It won’t go away without me,” you pout as he lets go again when your hips have stilled.
“This ain’t about me,” he tells you, then follows up patting your swollen cunt a few times on the front of your underwear. You keen, and he shushes you softly, “This is about you. About her.”
The fabric has smoothed out once more after Joel had to let go of it, so now, both of his hands slide underneath the waistband to touch you directly. He trails a finger from each hand over your labia, expertly avoiding your clit. They go down, one scooping up some of your slick by dipping into your for just a second before going back up.
You are shaking like a leaf, a string of noises leaving you. They were supposed to be words but it’s like you have lost connection to the part of your brain that controls speech. Joel chuckles behind you.
He rubs your clit again with his arousal-covered finger for a moment but then decides against it. For less than a second, you start to feel the pressures in your lower abdomen fade but then Joel uses his other hand to pull back the hood of your clit. When his slick finger starts touching you so directly, you can feel it spike immediately again. It is intense. You thrash on the bed.
“Fuck!” You cry out and look down where his hands are in your panties, moving and straining pornographically underneath the fabric, “Keep going. You’re— you’ll make me come like this.”
“That’s not the plan,” he growls in your ear, panting slightly but not making any effort to stop what he is doing, “I’ll make you fucking gush, yeah? Just like last night. Sheets have to be changed anyway or I’ll smell you on them and fuck my hand without getting any shit done around here.”
“Then do it,” you buck up into his hand like before, but this time also lifting your hips off the bed just slightly. Joel removes the finger from the hood of your clit to slam down your hips again, but despite everything, it just feels nice to not be so directly touched. You don’t want to know what you could’ve missed if you had come right now.
Roughly, the way you like it, Joel pulls your panties to the side. He reaches further down and shoves two fingers inside of your cunt, tilting his wrist downwards to finger against your g-spot quickly. The wet squelches of your wetness fill the room along with your mewls as your orgasm builds again without warning.
Your hands find purchase on Joel’s strong thighs but it still doesn’t feel like enough. Something is building right behind your clit, all muscles around your womb tightening like a coil being pulled. You want it, want it to snap.
“Please, please, please, oh fuck, Joel, make me come,” you are inconsolable, knowing that you’ll start sobbing if it doesn’t happen soon.
“Should’ve had a mirror right in front of us, so you can see my fingers sink into your little pussy,” he moans for the first time, feeling your walls flutter around his two digits and your clit throbbing against his index finger on the other hand. He rubs you and fucks you open in earnest.
Your right hand reaches up to cup the back of his head, fingers curling into the soft hair at the back of his neck. You hold on for dear life, pulling then to embrace what is coming. Joel growls behind you.
And then it happens. Everything that has been pulled tight releases into a high that has you feeling like you’ll melt into the mattress or lift off into the air from it. Your legs shake violently, and as soon as Joel notices the first spasm of your cunt, he pulls his fingers out to see the wet gush that leaves you and forms a stain on the sheets. He fingers you again and repeats the move, watches you gush a few times more.
You quickly grab at his wrist with a sharp intake of breath when the over sensitivity sets in. He stops moving his fingers on you and instead cups what he feels is his more than yours.
“Christ,” you hear him mutter, attempting to rub your cunt soothingly but you whimper, gripping his wrist tighter. He kisses behind your ear, “Wore the little plaything out, didn’t I?”
“What time is it?” You ask quietly, exhaustedly.
“We have an hour,” Joel says after looking at his wristwatch that is on the bedside table, “Think you should take a cold shower, soothe yourself a little.”
“You’re not joining me?” You look up at him with big innocent eyes. They’re pleasing but Joel is strong enough to resist.
“I’ll clean up here, finish up here too or we won’t make it out of the bathroom in time. Can you stand?”
You accept it.
“Yes, hold on,” you crawl off of him, avoiding the wet spot on the bed. You’ll accept anything from a man that has just given you an earth shattering orgasm.

This is a ninjago AU I’ve been working on for months, and I finally finished designing the main cast! It’s named the cyberpunk Ninjago AU because of its cyberpunk themes and aesthetics (not in any relation to the cyberpunk games.) The ninja and a few other side characters from canon Ninjago live in a cyberpunk city named Ninjaglow (yes, pun, funny haha) where there are three main industries;
The Ring Fighters, an industry where different skilled fighters clash for rewards and fame.
Consists of Akita, Kai, Cole and Skylor (also technically Harumi and Zane, but I’ll get into that later.)
Tumblr media
The Party Animals, are people in the party industry. They mostly consist of DJ’s and musicians, but anyone can party at the club.
Consists of Lloyd, Harumi and Morro.
Tumblr media
The Car Racers, are.. you guessed it, part of the racing industry! In this industry skilled drivers race for rewards and fame.
Consists of Jay, Nya, Pixal and Zane.
Tumblr media
So that’s the gist of it, but of course there’s a lot more that needs to be said about this AU, so I created a relationship chart! (Hopefully it’s not so messy that it is illegible)
Tumblr media
Please refrain from shipping anyone in this AU unless they are explicitly lovers or have the ambiguous tag!
Now for individual ref sheets with some information about the characters!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you find this AU interesting, as I plan to release more content about it when I have time! Maybe I’ll even open a Q&A for this AU one day if people are interested :]

Omg I'm loving your response to my prompts!! thank you
I have a few ideas (You don't have to do them all) just throwing them out there to see what sparks ideas!!
I love secret admirer stories (I know its no where close to valentines day but still) maybe Reader is Rebecca's assistant and keeps getting gifts leading up to valentines day but she is pretty sure its like Sam or Isaac and tells friend Jaime (even though its really him) then the day of the grand finale and she comes to the lovely surprise of it being Jaime!
also if you could include Scarlett red roses in it for me (They are my favorite flower and the only flower I'm not allergic to)
So. I liked this one. Maybe too much? It might be the longest one I’ve written so far, so, uh, sorry about that. But I liked it a lot. It might be one of my favorite things I’ve ever written. Hope you enjoy. also the gif isn’t Jamie Tartt but it is Phil Dunster so hopefully that’s ok

honey, i’ll give you all my time
Good god, it’s February all ready. You have a love-hate relationship with the month; love, because Galentine’s Day and hate because Valentine’s Day. You and your friends would go out on February 15th to get discount chocolate from the shops, then return home for an ungodly amount of takeout and a movie. On the whole, you all preferred action movies with a good romance.
You’re dreading Valentine’s Day because it’s when your boyfriend of two years held your hands in his, and told you he wanted to break up.
That was a year ago. You’re mostly angry that he’s a dark stain on one of your favorite holidays. You’re absolutely determined not to let him ruin your enjoyment.
This is also the first year you’re not with your friends. You moved away last March because you realized your ex had been holding you back in far too many ways.
So. To recap.
You’re alone. You love Valentine’s Day, despite it forever being the day of your breakup. Your friends aren’t here. You have new friends. There is no one to go to the shops with on the 15th. But discount chocolate is still discount chocolate.
Your current job is as a personal assistant, something you excel at. You basically anticipate needs, meet them, and just generally make your employer’s life a whole lot easier. The application said the job required a lot of travel, but all expenses (minus some food) were covered.
You were shocked when you got an interview, then a second, then a third, then were hired.
Your boss is a woman named Rebecca Welton, and you’re half in love with her, but who isn’t, really?
You swear you’ve never been in such a healthy work environment. You mention it one day, early on, and she says it’s all thanks to their head coach, someone named Ted.
You meet him for the first time later that day, and you understand.
It’s impossible not to love him, because he has vision. He knows what he wants from his team, and he knows how to get it.
He believes the team extends far beyond the players.
He believes it extends to you, too.
Ted and Coach Beard steal you from Rebecca as often as they can, claiming emergencies such as “a toxic amount of testosterone from all these boys,” “life-threatening boredom,” and last but not least, “there’s a new pun Ted absolutely needs to test right now and he won’t take no for an answer.”
(You like to give Ted honest feedback on his puns.)
You also find yourself in their office when Rebecca is out for lunch, eating your respective sandwiches and swapping life stories.
They remind you a lot of your parents.
It’s mid-June when you mention the Valentine’s Day story.
It doesn’t hurt as much when it’s punctuated by Ted’s “he didn’ts” and Beard’s perfectly-timed gasps.
You find yourself laughing halfway through, unable to stop.
“And anyway,” you finish, cheeks painful from smiling so hard, “that’s why romantic love is a joke and I am drowning myself in platonic love forever.”
Ted and Beard share a look. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that,” Beard says.
You shoot him a quizzical look. “What do you mean?”
“Well sweetheart,” Ted says, “between the two of us collectively,” here points between him and Beard, “we know of at least three of the boys on the team who are madly in love with you.”
“What?” you gasp, “How did you- where did you- who??”
Ted zips his lips and Beard tips a finger to him. “We know of five if we count Rebecca’s intel.”
You’re sitting cross-legged on the edge of Beard’s desk, in shock. “Rebecca knows about this??”
Ted and Beard shrug in unison. “We all have our opinions on which one should shoot their shot, but that’s neither here nor there,” Ted says.
“Coincidentally, it’s the one thing we unanimously agree on,” Beard nods.
You’re cut off from saying anything by the door opening. One of the players stands in the doorway.
“Excuse me, coach,” he says, accent thick.
Ted motions in a you have the floor type of way, and the footballer turns to address you of all people. “We’re all goin’ out tonight, and Keeley sent me to invite the new girl. None of the lads have really met you yet, just seen you ‘round. Thought it might be good for team bonding, or something. I’m Jamie, by the way.”
“Oh,” you say, taken aback. “I guess- yeah, I guess I haven’t really met them. I mean, I see you guys around and stuff and I’m at your games, but I don’t really know you. Are you sure you want me to come?”
Jamie shrugs. “Coach is always on us about bein’ a team or some shit. And, havin’ a girl around makes the lads look good.”
You think that makes sense, and then find yourself agreeing to go out that night with a group of footballers you don’t know, and (thank god) Keeley Jones.
You’re going to figure out which five before the summer’s over.
You have nice time out with the lads. They go to a bar and cram into separate booths. You’re wedged in between two who have introduced themselves as Isaac and Dani, and across from Sam, Bumbercatch, and Jan Maas. Roy, Richard, and a few others you don’t know are milling about, and you see Jamie and Keeley at a table, surrounding by giggling girls. The sight is so absurd that you catch yourself smiling and turning back to whatever conspiracy Bumbercatch is telling you about now.
You put Sam at the top of your list as soon as you get home. The man wears his heart on his sleeve, or maybe in his eyes, but you’re positive that he’s one of the five Ted and Beard referred to. One down, four to go.
—
It’s the end of July, and you begin to become friends with the team. You know for an absolute fact who is not interested in you, Jamie being one of them. Coincidentally, he’s the one you become closest to. You think it’s because you’re not worrying about sending mixed signals or leading him on. You dropped public hints about not really looking for anything romantic, just to be sure you wouldn’t hurt anyone.
As it is, Jan Maas and Dani have made the list. Jan Maas, because he stifled his Dutch bluntness for you and Dani, because he openly declared he was madly in love with you in front of the whole team.
Isaac makes the list in December. It had been in between him and Bumbercatch, but Isaac was the one who walked you to your car every night and the first one to say hello to you every morning.
You’re not gonna lie, it was cute.
You shared some of this with Ted and Beard, who remained impressively stone-faced. Rebecca proved to be equally impervious.
You shared all of it with your lunch-buddy-turned-work-bestie, Jamie.
You ate with him because Rebecca was constantly in lunch meetings these days, and Ted, Beard, and Roy were always revamping their football strategies.
Jamie would plop down at your table and say, “What’s the news, Amy Hughes?” in his perfect Mancunian accent, and then listen/add commentary to whatever you had to say.
You explained to him that the reason you wanted to know who liked you was so that you could be extra careful with their hearts. You knew what it was like to be led on, and you did NOT want to do that to someone else.
Jamie nodded thoughtfully at that and then said, “We’re all footballers though, ain’t we? We get the shit end of the stick all the time, hearts broke by models and whatever. Even ends up in the fucking press. Everyone here’s has their heart broken before, and we all know you aren’t doing it on purpose.”
You wrinkle your nose at him. “I’m pretty sure it’s short end of the stick, Jamie.”
And thus begins your lunch hour of bickering.
No one has made a move on you yet, and you don’t have a read on number five. You still think it may be Bumbercatch, but in reality, it slips from your mind. Sam’s moved on, Jan Maas has accepted defeat, Dani swears he will love you until the day he dies, and Isaac stays, well, Isaac. Still sweet. Still walking you to your car, coming round extra early in the morning with a coffee or a water, depending on which “looked less like shit.”
Really though, you don’t think about it until February first, when you walk into your office to a small box on your desk.
At first, you think it’s a box of Ted’s biscuits.
Then, you notice a small, scarlet-red rose taped to the top. There’s no note, and all that’s inside is a tiny paper heart.
It’s folded with extreme care, and you place it on your shelf, smelling the rose. It smells amazing and you make a mental note to figure out where the heck it came from. But for now, it’s time to work.
You don’t mention the gifts until February third, because now there’s been one a day. Each one with a scarlet red rose, and a different gift. Yesterday was an incredibly expensive bar of chocolate (it was life-changing) and today is a tiny gold bracelet.
It’s a simple enough chain, but it is absolutely breathtaking. There is no mistaking the fact that it is not cheap, so you take it and march straight to Rebecca’s office.
“Rebecca,” you say, hands outstretched, “look.”
She does, smiles, then says, “It appears you have a secret admirer.”
“But I don’t want that!” you cry. “I don’t even have time for that! I don’t even like anybody right now!”
She peers at you over her glasses. “Don’t you?”
The sheer weight of those words is enough to physically knock you back two steps.
You don’t, you swear you don’t, you’re absolutely sure.
What about Vienna? a voice in the very back of your head nags.
You reply, out loud, “We don’t talk about Vienna,” and Rebecca just shrugs.
“Have it your way,” she replies in a tone that means this conversation is over, but you’re the one ending it.
You turn on your heel and find yourself taking the route to Ted and Beard.
You burst into their office in such a flurry that the entire room turns to look at you. “Close the door,” you say with such urgency, that Trent hurries to comply. Beard even shuts the blinds.
“What’s on your mind, Ollie Cline?” Ted asks.
“Wait,” you say, holding up a hand. You point to Roy. “Do you want to be here? It involves feelings.”
“Fuck no,” says Roy, “thanks for being fucking considerate.” He follows it up with a pointed glare at Ted, then goes into his office and firmly shuts the door.
“Can he be here?” Ted asks, tilting his head toward Trent.
“I don’t care, he’s probably a good one to have around for this because look!” You present the three collected roses and the bracelet.
“Someone’s started leaving me gifts, and I’m pretty sure it’s a Valentine’s thing because of the roses, and it was fine for the first two days but this is expensive, and I can’t accept this!”
Ted and Beard share a look. You hate it when they do that and leave you out.
Ted sighs. “Listen, do you think this about Vienna?”
You fix him with a glare. “No. We are not talking about Vienna ever again.”
Trent pipes up, “What’s Vienna?” and you wheel around on him, taking your glare with you.
“Vienna," you spit, like it’s poisonous, “is a terrible, awful place where people think terrible, awful things. I never want to talk about it again and I never will.”
Trent nods. “Noted.”
You turn back to Ted and Beard, pleadingly. “What do I do? Tell me what to do.”
Beard gets up and puts his hand on your shoulder. “Kid, if you want my advice, take the damn roses and wear the damn bracelet. These boys make more money than they know how to spend, so just let it go. They all know how you feel about dating, so if someone’s shooting their shot, they know the stakes.”
You shake your head. “Fine. Fine. I’ll let it go.”
You decide to tell Jamie on day five, because it’s a Friday and you’re dying to get his take. You tell him everything, show him the roses in your office (hanging upside down to dry), and then hand him the notebook that was in today’s box.
“Jamie,” you say, “this is an expensive notebook. There was a typed note inside that said, ‘for your drawings.’ How did this person even know I like drawing? I never talk about it!”
Jamie looks at you and laughs a little. You’re very flustered for something most people would enjoy. “Dunno, love, but we’ve all seen the sticky notes you leave Coach. That might be it.”
You groan and flop down into your chair.
“At least tomorrow’s the weekend,” you say.
Jamie’s phone dings at 9:00am on Saturday with a text from you that says, what the actual heck and a picture of a brown bag at your doorstep. Inside is a plastic box of your favorite lemon muffin from a local bakery. He emphasized the image, then waits for your response.
It was still warm, you write. It was someone who knows where I live and knows what time I leave to get breakfast.
Jamie grins and sends you a shrugging emoji, and you respond with an eye roll and a you’re no fun.
Jamie reads that and privately disagrees. He thinks he’s lots of fun
You’re pretty sure it’s Isaac. After all, he’s the only likely candidate. He’s one of the few who knows where you live and knows your routine. Not in a creepy way, in a we’re-good-friends type of way. You bring this up to Jamie, after personally banning all talk of this with Ted, Beard, and Rebecca. Stupid Vienna. You should never have told them.
Jamie shrugs for the millionth, infuriating time. He’s been noncommittal this whole time. You’re over here pouring out your heart and soul, considering whether you like Isaac romantically or not, and all he can say is, “I dunno?”
This is not the Jamie Tartt you’ve become best friends with.
That Jamie would be down to hunt this secret admirer with you. That Jamie would be helping you figure out if Isaac had a chance with you. That Jamie would be way more engaged than the one sitting in front of you right now.
But, you suppose maybe that Jamie died in Vienna, so you stop bringing it up.
It’s day ten. Valentine’s Day is in four day, and you’re nervous.
You’ve decided you don’t like Isaac like that, mainly because it shouldn’t take you that long to decide if you like anyone. There has to be an initial spark, and you shouldn’t try to manufacture it.
Still, you’re not sure it is Isaac, so you’re not going to say anything about it. The scarlet red roses hang on your office wall, permeating the room with their scent.
You feel like you’re dying.
This is a cruel joke and you’re dying.
The building is basically empty right now. Rebecca and Higgins have some meeting, the team is on the pitch (including Will) and various other staff are somewhere far away from you. So, you jump a little when Trent Crimm comes tripping into your office.
“Vienna,” he says, no greeting. “If you didn’t want to talk about it, you wouldn’t have told anyone. I’m assuming you do want to talk about it, but you don’t want judgement from the people you love. I’m here to offer my services as a neutral party.”
You look at him. “Trent. You are a journalist. Your whole job is writing down people’s secrets. Why on earth would I talk to you about the worst day of my life?”
Trent shrugs. “I’m good at keeping secrets. This would be off the record. I’ve never lied to people about off the record, also. I consider it bad journalism.”
You consider this for a moment, then sigh.
“Alright,” you concede. “At least if this gets out, I know whose head I’m shaving in retaliation.”
Trent looks at you in surprise, seeing you in a whole new, slightly threatening light.
“It happened two months ago. It was around Christmas, and I didn’t have anywhere to go…”
Your family all had their own separate plans that Christmas. Plans that didn’t really involve you. Same with your friends. You said something casually to Rebecca, and the next day she told you she had booked you a trip to Vienna. Call it an early Christmas present, she said. It was at the Aumaris Vienna, and it was gorgeous and ridiculously out of your budget, but she said you worked hard and gave her peace-of-mind, and you can’t really put a price on that, can you?
So you went.
But here’s the thing.
Someone else didn’t have Christmas plans.
So when you brought up your trip at your daily lunch, said someone else casually asked, can I come?
You almost choked on your sandwich.
Because here’s the other thing.
You were, maybe, kind of, possibly just a little bit head over heels in love with this someone else.
You’re not sure when it happened, really, just that it was probably in August and that it was soul-crushing because you knew for an absolute fact that he did not, and never would, feel the same way.
You didn’t tell anyone except Keeley, but under the condition that she just let you say it and that she never, ever give you a response to it. Just listen.
She did, but you were pretty sure she almost combusted.
But who are you to say no when Jamie Tartt invited himself on your luxurious Christmas vacation saying, I’ll pay extra to get a plane ticket next to you?
You were doomed from the start.
To make matters totally and impossibly worse, he couldn’t find another room.
He had his tickets, but the hotels, he said, were packed.
It was Christmas, after all.
So that’s how you ended up in a luxury hotel with Jamie Tartt for a week and a half, one day of which was Christmas.
You know the, “there was only one bed” trope that everyone thinks is so cute?
It was that, but only if you add deep, shattering heartbreak to it.
Because every night, you had to listen to Jamie say, “goodnight, love,” and then get into that giant, soft bed as far away from him as you could manage.
Every morning you woke up to the pillow barricade long gone, one of his arms thrown around you. Or one of your legs on top of his. Or a million different scenarios where you end up literally asleep together, some weird gravity pulling you to each other.
You were falling so hard and so fast, that you felt like the air was knocked from your lungs when Jamie started talking about the girl he liked.
“She’s just so fucking beautiful,” he’d say, staring at an Alpine mountain. Or, “Swear she’s the smartest fucking person I’ve ever met,” while traipsing through the city. Or, “Pretty sure she’s ruined me for everyone else,” while getting facials at the hotel spa.
To be fair, you were the one who teased him into admitting he liked someone.
You just didn’t expect it to hurt so much.
The entire trip felt like heaven and hell had simultaneously converged on you, and you never wanted to leave but also desperately counted the days till it was over.
You came back and broke down in Rebecca’s office. Ted and Beard were there. The whole thing came spilling out, about how you loved the trip so much it felt like your heart would explode but that Jamie loved someone else.
They all exchanged looks amongst themselves and did their best to comfort you.
You pulled yourself together and they promised never to say anything to anyone.
“So that’s Vienna,” you finish.
Trent is just staring at you, mouth slightly agape.
He finally says, “My god, that’s fucked,” with such emotion that you decide right then and there that you like Trent Crimm and his rainbow mug.
Now, you just shrug. “I did it to myself, honestly. That’s why I’m tripping out about this secret admirer thing. And god, Trent, the roses. They’re so beautiful and it’s so romantic, and whoever it is obviously knows me well so there’s a part of me that wants to like this person, but…” you trail off.
“But there’s a part of you that’s hoping against hope that Jamie’s behind it all,” Trent finishes.
You let out a little laugh. “Yeah, that about sums it up.”
Trent looks at the roses, then at you. “Maybe you should talk to Jamie,” he says, gently.
You reply with a forceful, “No,” and then follow up with a small, “That’s what Ted and Rebecca say, too.”
Trent stands up, shrugs, says with a small smile, “Just a thought,” then he’s out the way he came.
It is Valentine’s Day. And it’s a Sunday, which means you are legally required to stay in bed until 10, at which point you will get out only to make yourself decent enough to go buy a good cup of coffee and maybe (definitely) something to eat.
You’ve just finished putting on your shoes, when there’s a knock at the door.
You take a breath, and get ready to let down your secret admirer as gently as possible.
You swing open the door to reveal-
“Jamie! What are you doing here?”
Jamie Tartt is on your doorstep, hands behind his back, looking shyer than the day you first met.
He opens his mouth and says the last thing you’d ever expect:
“D’you remember Vienna?”
Your heart, which had already been going fast because his dumb floppy hair was all dumb and floppy in his stupid, cute headband, is now working double time. You manage a nod.
Jamie takes this as permission to continue. “D’you remember how I couldn’t get another room, no matter how hard I tried? That wasn’t true. I could’ve.” He pauses, and you wait for him to continue.
“And d’you remember when we met, when I told you Keeley told me to invite you out? That was a lie too.”
You tilt your head, confused. He keeps going.
“Look- I fucked it. I fucked it a million times and I told Ted and I told Beard, but they kept helping me un-fuck it and giving me chances, and then Rebecca bought two tickets to Vienna and slipped me the other one, and they all told me I had a perfect shot.”
You’re still not understanding what he’s saying. He might as well be speaking another language. Jamie sees the confusion in your eyes, takes a breath, and tries again.
“Keeley told me to invite you out, but only because I’d seen you around and thought you were fit. Then Isaac and all the lads thought the same thing, so I didn’t even get to fuckin’ sit with you. And then you started sayin’ things about not bein’ ready for a relationship, so I tried to let it go. I really fucking tried. But I just couldn’t. Your eyes are too sparkly and your laugh is too fucking cute and I couldn’t let it go, so I started eating lunch with you and you fucking let me. I knew the moment I said anything about liking you, it was over.”
Comprehension has started to dawn, but you push down hope until Jamie’s done speaking.
“Everyone told me to shoot my shot in Vienna. We shared a bed, for fuck’s sake.” Here, Jamie looks bewildered. “But I dunno, I didn’t want to make shit weird. So when you asked if I liked anyone I said yeah, and started fuckin describing you, but you never fucking picked up on it. That’s when I got the idea to try one more time. All by meself, no help from anyone else. So…yeah.”
Jamie Tartt is standing on your porch confessing his love for you on Valentine’s Day and it is not a dream, because if it were your teeth would be falling out and his hair would probably be neon pink.
“I’m an idiot,” you breathe. “You like me? Like, like-like me?”
Jamie quirks a smile at that. “Not quite, darling. Pretty fucking sure I love you.” He pulls his hand from behind his back to reveal a bunch of scarlet red roses. The same from each gift.
“Got these for you,” he says. “D’you know how hard it is to get red roses in February?”
You don’t answer him because you’re leaping into his arms, kissing him like you’ve thought about doing every day for what feels like forever. He’s kissing you back, hand with the flowers pressed against your back, other hand in your hair.
“I love you too, Jamie,” you whisper against his mouth. He smiles and pulls you in again.

yet another prompt from my bestie’s ask: drum roll please (pun intended)… here’s drummer!Rafe
Tumblr media
The road to stardom is wild and loud, full of flashing lights and cheering crowds in a new city every night. It's also full of distractions that come in various shapes and colours, whether that be liquor bottles, a white powdery substance, or the endless line of groupies. Rafe and his band are no strangers to indulging in those distractions, the rugged and crazy lifestyle quickly became a part of their rockstar image.
You have a dream to make it big, and to see your name on the silver screen with the generation's greatest. Unfortunately, Hollywood was beyond tough on those who weren't already born within the golden gates. You're a lucky one, with all your hard work and sleepless nights, you go from waitressing and living in a trailer park in L.A. to living comfortably in your dream home with a resume that just keeps getting longer and longer.
You meet Rafe at a mutual friend's party. You've been close with one of his bandmates for a little while, and finally got the opportunity to meet the rest of them.
Your first impressions are awful, to say the least: you were excited to meet the drummer of the famed rock band and have been staring at him all night, working up the courage one smidge at a time. When he slips out the balcony doors, you take your chance.
Rafe's leaning over the railing, cigarette hanging from between his fingers as he types on his phone. When you step beside him, he glances at you, blue eyes lazily dragging over your figure.
"I thought groupies weren't allowed in here."
You stand there dumbfounded, jaw on the floor as he blows the smoke.
"I'm not—"
He cuts you off with a heavy sigh, "don't tell me you're a friend of a friend, or a classmate from childhood, or someone's long-distance girlfriend. I've heard it all, trust me."
You cross your arms, heat filling your chest, "Do you talk to everyone like that?"
"Just those who deserve it." His voice is low, "Beat it, sweetheart. You don't want to get thrown out and risk ruining that pretty dress, now do you?"
You don't know what his problem was. For someone so loved and adored, he was a fucking asshole. You supposed that's the lovely work of PR teams, they can make even the cruellest monsters into angels. Hell, even your team worked tirelessly to maintain your image.
"You're still here? Don't you have a security guard to blow, or a tour bus to break into?" He asks condescendingly, hair falling over his forehead as he leans down, studying you with that stupid smirk. “Who are you fucking, huh? Is it one of the desperate socialites, or the wannabe models?”
His laugh breaks into a shout when your drink splashes on his face, the alcohol dripping down his chin to his chains and silk blue shirt, "what the fuck—"
You don't stay long enough to hear his curses and return to the penthouse, promising yourself to never speak to him again.
I'm sensing... hate fucking: his hand is over your mouth and you're pressed against the tiled wall, dress hiked up and legs around his waist. The party rages on inside the club, hopefully still lively enough that no one will notice your absence. Tonight was for you to celebrate your first big award win, you didn't know Rafe was coming with your mutual friend, and you'd die before admitting that you're glad he did.
You can't help your moans, his cock effortlessly hitting your sweet spot with every rock. He fills you so deeply, stretching your hole with his fat girth, and it pains you to know that he's ruined you for anyone else. You just know you'll be a limping mess.
"Shut up. God, you never fucking shut up." He grunts, his hand falling to your throat, "You wanna get caught? Want everyone to know you're fucking a... what is it you called me?"
He grinds into you and you gasp, gaze locked on his lips. He was a great kisser, the best you've ever had, but you'd never tell him that, just like how you refused to ask for another.
"A-An ungrateful prick."
His eyes gleamed dangerously, sweat brimming at his brow, "Yeah, that's it. I bet you're grateful I didn't leave when you told me to."
He keeps you pinned to the wall with his hips and his other hand slips where you meet. His skillful fingers toy with your needy bundle and your body convulses, your juices nearly dripping down his length.
"And you said I never shut up."
A harsh slap lands on your clit and your choked whimper turns into a loud whine when he repeats the action again, harder this time. The lewd sounds of your wetness bounce off the washroom walls. If you had any shame left, it was gone now, tucked in his pocket with your torn underwear.
"You'll be on your knees and thanking me by the end of the night. I can promise you that."
I can only imagine how nasty drummer!Rafe is 😮‍💨 the kinks, the spitting, the choking, the messy "let me fuck my cum back into you," the tasteful nude polaroids, and wiping your tears when you cum so hard you cry, "that's it. let it out, baby. such a good girl for daddy."
Can't forget about the disgusting lyrics he'd write about you (ofc there are sweet ones too but that's not until later), telling the whole world how much he loves the way you taste and feel, how you're his filthy little angel and that you bring him closer to heaven with your body.
Oh the sexting !! When he's on tour and you're working, it's hard to make time for each other. Sometimes he'll send you a picture of his hard bulge through his jeans with a cheeky "wish you were here." When you win another big award (and inevitably become a style icon overnight bc of your dress), he sends flowers, cute lil note, and ofc, a nut video with sound 😌 "the next time I see you, I'm fucking you in that dress."

The song has been stuck in your head all day. Soft and sweet and romantic, it buzzes past your lips in a quiet hum while you end your work day by tidying your space.
“You know,” Harlan says as he leans back in his chair, contemplation narrowing his stare, “my offer still stands to make you my full-time personal assistant.”
You sigh and continue to clean up your papers, clipping them in neat packets for easy access when the research becomes relevant. “And you know I have other commitments.” You glance over your shoulder with a grin and shrug. “I can’t leave Chase hanging.” You snort at the unintended pun and continue working. Your hand brushes a spec of fuzz from the corner of your table, leaving it immaculate.
Harlan makes a noise of agreement and sits up before standing. “Well, if things ever change.”
“You’ll be the first to know,” you agree. The final clip snaps onto your last packet. “Now,” you address your boss with a playfully stern finger pointed in his direction, “don’t mess this up.” You nod toward the space set aside as your desk. Pens, post-its, and papers neat in a row.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” There’s a mischievous twinkle in the man’s eye, and you know you’ll be reorganizing on Monday morning, but you don’t mind. Not when Harlan’s done so much for you, and you know he’ll inevitably make your job easier somehow.
The dogs start barking outside. The front door slams and heavy steps thud toward the kitchen. No greeting, no real indication of who it might be. But you’ve worked in the Thrombey house long enough to make an educated guess.
“Looks like your grandson’s paying you a visit,” you muse while packing away the last of your belongings. “Don’t tear each other to pieces, alright? I still need this job at the end of the weekend.”
Harlan chuckles and shakes his head. He’s a good man, kind but indomitable. You admire him a moment longer. Fond warmth reflects back at you in his gaze. You’ll never forget how lucky you were he decided to take a chance on you.
“Goodnight,” you bid with a smile.
Harlan sends the same after you as you turn to the stairs, waiting for his grandson to make his surely dramatic entrance. The Go board already in hand. You wonder if he will take his grandfather up on the challenge.
Passing Marta and Fran on your way out the door, you say your farewells. And you almost make it out before coming face to face with the notorious ass—Hugh Ransom Drysdale. To think you’d been able to avoid him for so long. You should have taken the back exit through the patio.
“Who’re you?” he asks, inspecting you like a blot of dirt on his Beemer.
“Hello, Mr. Drysdale,“ you greet softly, short and professional. His head tilts and his gaze narrows at the address. “I’m expected elsewhere. If you’ll excuse me.” But you don’t wait for him to move, skirting around his broad frame before making it out the front door. His stare burning into your back the whole way. Constant, uncomfortable.
Safe and locked in your car, you’re able to shake it off. At least for a moment. When it starts to creep back up your spine while pulling out of the driveway, your hand reaches over to flick on your stereo, blasting the feeling away. You sing along, belting out any lingering unease. Getting yourself ready and letting the week’s stress seep from you.
The drive back into the city winds long, but passes quickly. Only forty minutes. But part of that convenience is negated by the absolute bear it is to find parking downtown. Another ten minutes of struggle before you get out—the urban parking gods not on your side tonight. Your car beeps with the lock and you sigh. It’ll be a longer walk.
The sun sinks behind the buildings and the orange glow of the streetlights paint the sidewalks. You bundle yourself in your jacket, shift your duffle higher on your shoulder, and start marching. One foot in front of the other. Glancing at familiar storefronts and navigating around the few passersby finding their Friday night adventure.
By the second block, you pause. The hairs on the back of your neck prickle. Eyes bore into you from behind. Heated, focused. You spin on your heel, but find no culprit. You swallow and breathe deep. Just your imagination, surely. Maybe.
“Fuck,” you mutter under your breath and turn to begin walking again. Quicker.
Your steps beat light on the pavement, though you don’t want to seem rushed. Trying to find a steady, rapid pace that doesn’t signal your distress. Still, the sensation doesn’t cease.
The evening gets darker and you see Chase’s studio in the distance. The industrial building looming and dark, intimidating. But your safe haven. The back door stands just within reach. You knock a rapid shave-and-a-haircut on the wood and wait for it to open. Phantom fingers dance along the back of your neck and you whip around. The alley stands empty save for a grimy dumpster and a few trash bags. Yet your heartbeat continues to thunder in your ears.
“There you are,” a gruff yet relieved voice exclaims. Long fingers wrap around your bicep and pull you in, the door closing behind you and cutting you off from your paranoia.
“Sorry,” you reply automatically, distracted before you shake away the adrenaline and turn to your friend. He beams brightly and lets his hand slip down to yours. With a turn on his heel, he guides you through the hallways to the back room. “Minor delay and had to find parking a few blocks away.”
“Don’t worry about it, li’l bird,” he shrugs and opens the door. “The room’s still filling out and Caleb is doing his sensation thing.”
You hum and enter behind your friend, setting your bag down in its usual place by the futon and shrugging off your coat. Your neck rolls on your shoulders, releasing any residual tension. Warm hands wrap over them and knead the muscles.
“You okay?” Chase asks, genuine concern in his voice. “You’re looking a little rattled.”
You lean into his gentle but firm touch, letting your eyes drift shut. Sinking into the feeling and focusing on it. Keeping yourself out of the instinctive loop of fright that lingers at the fringes of your mind. Chase’s hands travel down your back and over your sides—comforting, but objective in their precision.
“I’m fine,” you reply, breathy and calm. You pause, feeling his hands do the same. “Just,” you bite your lip, “maybe have the others keep a watch on the crowd tonight? I’ve had this strange feeling.”
Chase’s warm hands move back up to grasp your shoulders, reassuring in their press. “Of course.” He steps back and releases you. You spin to meet his eyes. “You know I always look out for my girl.” His lips lift in a soothing grin. “Now, let’s get you ready.”
You nod and begin to strip. Your blouse unbuttons and falls from your shoulders. Chase helps you step out of your skirt and grabs your outfit from your duffle. You change quickly from your everyday bra into the elaborate sports bra saved for these occasions. Chase helps straighten the straps, keeping them from turning on themselves and arranging them as they’re supposed to be. The bike shorts slide up your legs and sit at your waist. A quick peek in the mirror ensures you’re presentable—effortless yet alluring.
“You ready?” Chase asks softly.
You catch his eye in the mirror and nod with a small grin. “Ready.”
He offers his hand and you turn to accept it. Fingers squeeze around yours and draw you out. The crowd gathers around the elevated stage. The rig is all set up, the mats on the ground, the spotters standing on the fringes, everything waiting for you both.
Chase stops right by the steps up. He turns to you and takes your other hand in his. “Do you trust me?”
“Yes,” you reply immediately. A deep breath calms your spiking heart and the butterflies in your tummy. Displaying yourself in such a vulnerable position never stops being terrifying—or exhilarating.
“Then come along, birdie.”
The lights blare bright on the stage. Hot and revealing. You cannot look to the crowd waiting out past your line of sight. You’d freeze if you did. Instead you keep your focus on Chase—your constant, your rock, your Dom.
He brings you to the center of the stage and releases your hands. His chin dips in a bid for you to kneel. You sink the onto the floor, hands resting on your thighs, waiting. Your eyes locked still on him.
“Good evening.” He addresses the crowd with all the charisma you expect from him. “I hope you’ve been enjoying yourselves.”
As he continues, you let your mind center on your body. Keeping yourself present, but counting your breaths and feeling the steady pulse of your heartbeat. Rope uncoils. Instructions and explanations fall to a rapt audience.
Chase walks over, turning his back to the crowd to face you. He smiles. “There’s my good girl,” he says just for you. Your lips stretch, preening at the compliment.
He cups your cheeks, tilting your face up. His lips descend to press a kiss to your forehead before he finds the bite of his rope and begins.
The rope slides over your exposed skin. Each caress precise, purposeful. Chase works quickly, but pauses every so often to address the audience again or check in with you. Your arms lift. You bend and submit to the way he moves your body. The rope cinches too tight. You wince. Immediately, Chase corrects it.
Around and around, you’re bound. Your thoughts quiet, steady and calm. The last knot ties everything together and Chase steps away.
Another speech before he positions you and the hooks pull taut. You breathe deep, preparing yourself. Your body rises from the stage, suspended. Like you’re flying. It takes a moment to adjust. Chase places his hand on your side, grounding you in the way you need. Your eyes fall shut. Blissful in the darkness behind your eyelids.
Chase stays nearby. He watches. The spotters watch. The people watch. You’re used to the appreciation. Admiring the way you hang from the ceiling, the way your body contorts to the shape of Chase’s vision.
Music begins to play through the studio. You hang like a piece of art. Whispers and conversations pick up until it’s the drone of a crowd filling the high ceilings. Talk about your dedication and grace. Discussion of Chase’s skill. Various mingling. But all the buzz of the background mellows in your head. Your blood flowing through your veins and the tension of the rope on your frame.
Chase brings you down earlier than usual. He lowers the rig and starts to untie you, except for the final ring that keeps you hooked. You stay there for a few minutes until he’s certain of your stability.
All the while, he begins your favorite part. His hands pet over your limbs. The blood already pooling under your skin, creating tender contusions. He whispers words of affirmation and praise. You savor the bliss of his aftercare and feel exhaustion’s tug.
The spotters dissemble the rest of the rig and release you from the final tether. Chase’s arm wraps about your shoulders and the two of you exit off the stage to wind your way back to your room.
It’s quick, habitual work for Chase to prepare the futon for your nap. And you sink onto the bed with a sigh. The mattress dips beside you. Your Dom strokes his hand over you head. As always, he insists you drink electrolyte water and eat a little snack, each presented to your lips by his own hand.
“You did so good for me, li’l bird,” he whispers, coaxing you toward rest. “Just close your eyes for me and I’ll let you sleep for a while.”
You hum in response, knowing he’ll stay beside you until you’re under. A thought drifts toward the surface before it escapes your grasp, floating away from you until it’s gone and you’re asleep.

By Monday morning, you’ve forgotten the encounter with Ransom Drysdale, too distracted by your weekend to remember an insignificant meeting. Pleasantly fuzzy feelings and bright spirits follow you in your drive to the Thrombey estate. But it all evaporates when you turn toward the house and see Ransom standing there, leaning against one of the porch columns. A grimace twists his lips and his arms fold across his chest.
“So, you’re grandad’s research assistant,” he says with a derisive edge to his tone.
“Morning, Mr. Drysdale,” you return on a whisper, waking past him and into the house. Ignoring the derogatory sting of his remark.
His brow furrows and he follows. You take off your coat and scarf, hanging each with care in the entryway. The whole time, Ransom’s stormy presence grows increasingly agitated behind you. When your feet turn toward the kitchen for a calming cup of tea, you take only one step before finding yourself flailing and dragged backward by a strong arm clutching at your waist.
The hard wall of Harlan’s office digs into your back. But you would take that discomfort if not for the fire flashing in Ransom’s eyes.
“Your grandfather is waiting for me,” you say without inflection, staring at him and waiting for his tantrum to cease—for him to get bored and release you. “Please let me go.”
His lips screw up in disdain before he responds with an decisive, “No.”
You keep your breath even, refusing to let him get under your skin. Hoping you haven’t unintentionally gotten under his.
“Tell me how you came to be Harlan’s assistant.”
You don’t reply. The hallway clock ticks. Your nerves spike as it continues, knowing Harlan expects promptness.
“You’re being quite rude, pigeon,” he says after a tense minute, stretching his arms to brace against the wall, keeping you cornered but elongating his body in a spectacle of power. He leans close, invading your space until his breath brushes your cheek. “Why don’t you coo for me? I would hate to have to contact my Uncle Walt at the publishing company and get your position filled by someone more…friendly.”
A swallow clicks in your throat. “Mr. Drysdale, your grandfather hired me himself, and I’m not directly associated with Blood Like Wine Publishing,” you explain in clipped syllables, clinging to your calm while he looms closer.
His brow quirks in intrigue and his lips press into another smirk. Words form on his tongue. But as the stairs creak at someone’s approach, they remain unspoken.
“There you are,” Harlan calls from the stair landing, peering into his office. “Come along, dear, time to get to work.”
His eyes flash to his grandson, a sharp look challenging his obstructive position. Ransom meets it and they lock gazes for a charged moment. You take your window of opportunity for what it is, surging forward under Ransom’s left arm. In the space between his frame and the wall paneling, you squeeze through. Though your body drags against his and your balance falters, you get past. Ransom grunts in displeasure and protests, but you march your way upstairs following your boss.
“Be careful of him,” Harlan warns in a whisper as you pass him along the stairs.
You nod and continue on. A final glance over your shoulder confirms your suspicions. Ransom remains planted in place, jaw ticking and arms crossed. His attention focuses on your retreating figure, brow furrowed in thought—a glint in his eye you instinctively fear.

In. Out. You focus on breathing. A steady cadence, a calming exercise. Your safety and escape with the ropes biting into your flesh.
This week pushed your limits. Every day affected by unease—following like a burning gaze. You’ve seen little of Harlan’s grandson. Yet every time you feel yourself tipping into that unsettled state, you find your thoughts turning toward him.
In. Out. Now is not the time to think about it. Not when you don’t have to. Not in this state. Suspended above the mats. On display. In. Out. Focus. It works, mind drifting on the softy syllables of Chase’s conversation with a curious patron. Grounding you, guiding you toward peace.
Until it returns. That burning prickle at the back of your neck. The paranoia. It sets your teeth on edge. Despite your head being supported above your heart in tonight’s position, it becomes light, dizzy. Your eyes snap open, darting from face to face. Searching for his sinister features.
A flash—brown hair, sharp blue eyes, a regal sloping nose, a tan coat. It’s just a glimpse, but you meet their eye and see the beginnings of a smirk. Your vision swims. The studio blurs. Your heart pounds in your ears. You swallow, throat dry.
A croak escapes your lips. Chase’s concern meets your panic immediately. The spotters step forward, but his form eclipses your view of the rest of the studio—the crowd, the figure hidden amongst them—first. Your Dom reaches out to you and steadies the unconscious flail of your limbs. His fingers stroke across your skin. Slowly, it calms you. Your fear receding in the surety of his presence.
“Do you need to come down?” he asks, ready at a moment’s notice to lower you back to the ground—cut you out of the rope, if need be—and sweep you away to the safety of your room.
“No,” you say after a minute and a few deep breaths. “I thought…” Your words trail off in a mumble as you shake the silliness of your concerns away. It couldn’t have been Ransom. How would he know about this? It’s your mind playing tricks on you.
Chase examines you a moment longer before conceding with a wary nod. He steps back, letting the flood of the room rush back. Your eyes close again to force your way back down to comforting darkness. In. Out. In. Out.
Yet the evening becomes soured by that one moment. Chase’s distance expands like a chasm between you as he unwinds the rope from your body and steadies your walk back to your room. His methodical aftercare lacks in a way that sears a hole deep in your belly. Though you can’t name why. You wait for his tenderness to make it all feel better, but it doesn’t.
He settles you down on your futon and presses a chaste kiss to your forehead. His eyes flicker with that same concern, but he says nothing more of it. Simply feeds you your snack and tilts your water past your lips. They slosh uneasy in your stomach, but you follow your routine, praying for some solace.
His muttered praises do little to coax you toward rest. Fidgeting and turning over and over, you body thrums even as you feel the weight of exhaustion. You close your eyes, forcing yourself to give in. Chase stays a moment longer before leaving you to the sticky blackness of sleep.
Though it’s not long until you’re disturbed. Like pulling you up through tar, you find the surface. Your reluctance to awaken keeps your eyes stubbornly shut, but the figure beside you strokes their hand over your head. You sigh and a small smile twitches at your lips. The touch soothes your soul.
“Chase,” you mumble on a sleepy murmur. He makes no response, but lets his fingers trail over your cheek. Your hand reaches out, grasping his and tucking it close to your chest. “Stay with me til I’m back asleep?” A yawn punctuates your request. He says nothing but stays beside you. His legs stretch alongside your body. And he makes no protest when you half-consciously scoot closer, letting you cling to him for the first time as you sink once again.

Harlan’s warning rings constant in your mind, “Be careful of him.” But there is no careful—there’s no more safety, no escape. Because you weren’t wrong. That figure in the crowd, watching you and sending you spiraling toward panic—that was Ransom. Following you again and again to the studio. Each week struggling to find a way to bring it up with Harlan, and failing. Each weekend spent suspended with Ransom’s eyes piercing through you.
You’ve tracked his approach, stalking closer and closer to the stage with each passing week. His eyes never leaving you. Not concerned with whatever Chase says. He has his focus. And it never wavers.
He doesn’t glare or glower—his observation far from menacing. Though foreboding still blares at the back of your mind each time your gaze meets. And you cannot stop yourself. Hanging from the rigging, you always find him. Your heart always lurches before you cut away the room by closing your eyes.
You drift awake, rested from your nap. Your phone proclaims the time and you groan at the early hour before sitting up on your futon and stretching. Muscles protest in the most delicious way and your lips tilt toward a grin. With a roll of your neck, you stand to gather your belongings into your duffle so you can return home.
The door to your small room clicks behind you. A step, two, and you catch a dark figure in you periphery. Your bones jump and you gasp. Turning toward the intruder, you clutch at your heart. Your diaphragm starts spasming, hiccups bobbing up your throat.
“Who,” you hiccup, “Who’s there?”
They step forward, their head bent and hands hanging by their sides. The glint of the ring on his pinky catches the light. You lick your lips and hiccup again. A hand presses to your abdomen hoping to calm the convulsions of the muscle.
“Oh, pigeon, did I scare you?” His mirth grates on your thin tolerance. He doesn’t do anything technically inappropriate during the demonstrations, but this confrontation is.
“Mr. Drysdale,” you say with a heavy breath, trying to swallow around the hiccups. “Why are you here?
Amusement continues to dance bright in his eyes. You’re just waiting for him to start laughing at you. Like there’s a cosmic joke to which you aren’t privy. But you’re willing to wait while he explains himself. All the while starting to feel sick from the incessant hiccups—and maybe something more.
“Let’s just say I have an itch I need you to scratch,” he replies with a teasing shrug.
“That doesn’t explain much, Mr. Drysdale.”
His jaw ticks and the amused light in his eyes dims a fraction. He shifts on his feet and stands straighter. The glint of a gold watch shines in the light. You swallow at the reminder of his status and your precarious position in the hallway with him—the ways this could spiral unpleasantly numerous and beginning to swarm in your head. A thought of Chase materializes in your mind. His bedroom nearby but too far all at the same time.
“Call me Ransom,” he suggests, though even the way his head ticks to the side reads more as a command than counsel.
“Right,” you mumble with a hint of disregard—too focused on yourself, your position. Your eyes dart around the cramped hallway, looking for an escape. “What do you want?”
He hums, deep and threatening in his throat. “You.” The statement simple. Yet it rocks your world—sends you reeling and off-kilter. But he continues, “You see, I can admit you intrigued me on our first meeting. Especially after Harlan refused to tell me much about you other than your job title.” He sighs and takes a step closer. In retreat, you press yourself to the wood of the door. “Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since. And I need to fix that.” His arm cages you in, resting beside your head as he leans forward, crowding into you. “So,” he says, drawing out the word. His chin dips and his voice lowers to a whisper. “Name you price.”
Your chest jumps in another hiccup, voice jumping with it when you yelp, “What are you talking about?”
A smirk twitches on his lips. “I’m a very wealthy man. I need one night to get you out of my system.” His breath brushes your cheek. “Name. Your. Price.”
You sputter, mind whirring. You’re not naïve. You know for what he’s asking. You used to consider it, when the rent wasn’t adding up—before Chase, before Harlan. But not with someone like him. Your tongue swipes over your lips. His gaze continues to wander over you, examining you like a slab of meat.
“Five hundred thousand dollars?” The number, plucked from the air, grits past your clenched teeth in hopes it will deter him.
He grins and gives you a sliver more space to breathe. “Done.”
You gape in shock. Such an easy agreement. “Wait—”
“Do you want more?” His fingers tickle along your throat while his brow quirks in curiosity.
Your head shakes, vehemently against it. “No. I don’t—”
“Then, what’s the problem, pidge?” His voice husks, a moment away from descending upon you. The glimmer in his eyes hungry.
“I don’t want you,” you reply. The force of your statement knocks him back. His head tilts and his jaw ticks in irritation. His gaze narrows. “I wouldn’t want you for a million.” You push at him, but he doesn’t budge. Too strong, too firm.
His nostrils flare with his ire. A deep breath expands his lungs, pressing his chest to yours. He closes his eyes and calms himself. When he captures you again with his sapphire blue eyes, they’re softer. The sharpness dulled for his plea.
“Look, pidge,” Ransom croons. Sweet as pie but far too deadly. “It’s one night. That’s all.” He backs away, though he keeps his touch close by, ready to swoop back in and strangle you. “You’ll get one million dollars, alright? I never bother you again—never show up to this dump, never meet you at granddad’s. You’re done with me and I’m finally done with you. Got better things to do anyway.”
He lets you think. The moment stretches taut between you. Your hiccups the only disturbance.
“I’ll never have to see you again?” you ask, wary of his answer.
He grins, triumphant. As if he’s already won—which he has. A million dollars can do a lot for you. Clear most of your debt. Make your paycheck stretch further for a little while. Maybe give you a little cushion for a rainy day.
“When?”
“Oh, I knew you’d say yes.” He smirks and trails his fingertips over your cheeks. You turn your head away but he follows, ducking to catch your eye. “You made the right choice. I’m gonna give you the night of your life.”
Air expands your lungs and escapes in a steady hiss. Another hiccup interrupts the stream and you close your eyes in frustration. Lips press to your cheek. You jerk away, startled.
“I’ll text you the details, pidge.”
He leaves, his business concluded by sneaking a pat to your ass. The hallway expands around you once more and fills with your precarious relief.
Tumblr media
The door looms too tall before you. You eye the keycard slot. Check the time on your phone. Another minute passed. You wonder if he knows you’re here. Your hand rests on your abdomen for a moment, calming your nerves. Your other reaches out and swipes the card. The light blinks green. You breathe deep, open the door, and stop right in your tracks.
There in the center of this great, grand hotel room sits Ransom cushioned by a big black leather chair. You swallow hard and glance over your shoulder. Your heartbeat flutters anxiously in your throat. You take a step back. Fingers cling tight to the doorknob. You clear your throat.
“Well,” he hums with a twisted grin, “there you are. I guess it’s true—amazing what some people will do for a chunk of change.” He eyes your position, still straddling the threshold and clutching at the doorknob. “You gonna try to run?” His brow quirks and he stands, relaxed and unconcerned. His hands shove deep in his pockets, but his sweater sleeves sit folded up near his elbows. “I thought you were braver than that, pidge.”
With a defiant tilt of your chin, you step forward and let the door close behind you—accepting his challenge. It brings a smug grin to Ransom’s face, but you ignore it by setting aside your bag and toeing off your shoes.
“How are we going to do this?” you ask without looking at him. “Do you have some kind of contract? Or will oral negotiations suffice?” You grab a small notebook from your purse and the attached pen, releasing it from its holder and clicking the cam down.
The scoff and eye roll you receive in reply sets your teeth on edge. Ransom shakes his head and says, “we’re not going to do that, no matter how fun oral negotiations sound.”
You blink. “But—” you begin in your shock before closing your lips and clearing your throat to gather your thoughts. “I realize this is for one night only, but it’s important—”
“You’re right,” he interrupts with a wave of his hand, turning his back on you and meandering around the back of the chair. “This is only for one night. We don’t need all that boring shit. I want to fuck you, not exchange friendship bracelets.” As he comes around to settle on the cushion, he tucks something beside him you can’t catch. “Now.” He leans forward. You stare, entranced by the confidence of his movements. The way his fingers clench on the arms of the chair and his chin tilts. “Get on your knees.”
They threaten to buckle at the command, but you stand firm. Still uncomfortable with this little exchange, you’re not yet ready to start. Not like this. Your tongue lashes out to lick your lips, eyes darting about for something to prolong the conversation. Another question to ask, another point to make.
“Will you listen if I safeword at least?” you ask as your toes tap on the floor in a nervous rhythm. The notebook in your hand crinkles with your grip until you place it and the pen back in your bag.
“You have my word,” Ransom promises, hand pressed—sincere or mocking—to his chest. “Don’t you trust me?”
“Not exactly.”
He chuckles and shrugs. Whether his word means anything, you don’t know. All you know is that he’s not getting any more patient. He nods toward his feet, the open place between his knees.
You take a moment to gather yourself and find that safe space in your head, taking slow steps to approach him. Watching him—wary of any sudden shift. The fluffy carpet meets your knees when you sink down. Closing your eyes, you concentrate on steadying your breath.
Ransom waits—for what, you couldn’t guess. Until he rasps, “Open your eyes. Look at me like you look at him.”
Your eyes snap open and meet his. “Like him?”
But he simply holds up a pair of padded cuffs, dangling from his index finger. “You want me to stop, you say ‘Hugh’. Understand?”
Your head bobs in a nod, keeping eye contact. “Yes, Mr. Drysdale.”
In a flash, he grips your chin with his free hand. His fingers dig into your cheeks, anger flaring in his gaze. “You. Call me. Ransom.”
You swallow hard at the abrasive grit in his tone. “Yes, Ransom,” you respond with a stilted nod.
“Good,” he hums in satisfaction, “I prefer good girls.”
The tension drips away as he releases your face. Fingers scratch at his jaw and he stretches, relaxing back into the cushion of the chair. The cuff chain clinks, drawing your attention. His follows, lips twitching toward a smirk.
“Now, can we begin?” he asks with a raise of his brow.
“Yes, Ransom,” you reply, resisting the urge to drop your gaze. Unsure of what reaction might await at such a disregard for his request, but unwilling to risk a punishment—not from him.
“Give me your hands.”
You offer them up, blood vibrating in your veins. He holds them gently despite his prickish nature. The cuffs wrap around your wrists, latching snug to your skin. Perfect—not too tight or too loose. You stare at them. The detailed leather work. The minky lining. The safety buckle ready to release at a moment’s notice. They’re quality, expensive—an indication of forethought, research, commitment.
A weight lifts from your shoulders. The nerves buzzing inside you start to disperse. With a final pat to the leather, his hands stray to explore your body. He traces the curve of your lips. He feels your pulse throbbing at your throat. He cups your breasts and kneads the flesh until your breath hitches.
“Just like that,” he purrs while toying with you. “You’re gonna sing for me, aren’t you?” He plucks at your nipples through your shirt, staring you down to drink in your reaction.
You swallow a whimper—needy and plaintive. Thoughts flurry in your head tinged by heat. Submission tempts, at odds with an insistence on remaining in control. He catches the hesitance when your teeth worry your lower lip. He clicks his tongue in disappointment, and your heart lurches.
He lets the silence settle around you both, reclining back and taking his touch with him. A minute ticks by. His attentions drift over you, searching. Only he knows for what. Your lungs draw in a steady flow of air, each calmer than the last. Your hands itch in impatience, craving contact. Your fingers flex toward him. The chain rattles.
Ransom reads something in that sound and tilts his head, lowering his lips to yours. You blink, unsure of your boundaries with such intimacy, but he swallows any protest with a kiss.
You expect it to be harsh and demanding. Clacking teeth and a suffocating intrusion. That’s not what you get. The way he kisses you like a lover locked in a forbidden embrace between the stacks of an old library—sensual, passionate, and all-consuming. Letting you taste a hint of his hunger, his desperation.
Your bound hands raise to cup his jaw. Drawn to him like a magnet. Because this is the best you’ve ever been kissed. Sure, you’ve been kissed by amateurs, by creeps, by lovers, but nothing like this. It’s addictive.
Without meaning to, you sigh your delight against his lips. His twitch toward a smirk, even as he licks into your mouth and drinks you in. His hands cradle your throat and tilt your head back. The dance between you a delicious exercise of control.
With one last brush of his lips to yours, he draws away. Your head floats, hazy with the sparks of lust ignited by his kiss. Unconsciously, you follow his retreat, leaning up to him like a flower seeking the sun.
He stands, a slow movement that breaks your hold until your falling hands rest upon his thighs. He stares down at you, a conceited pleasure glinting in his appraisal. But you’re past the point of caring or becoming peeved by his superior attitude. You just want him to kiss you like that again. It’s only for one night anyway, what does it matter if he’s proud of himself for making you his plaything—or that you think you’ll enjoy every minute of it.
“Up,” he beckons with an outstretched hand.
You place your hands in his and rise. He squeezes and saunters toward the bed. A noise of approval rolling in his throat, observing your body.
“We’ll need to fix this,” he says with a gesture. You glance down—the plain tee, the jean shorts, your socks. He steps forward, pressing his lips to your ear. “You wear something special for me, pidge?”
You swallow, but can’t answer. Voice stuck in your throat.
“That’s okay,” he coos, playing with the collar of your shirt. “I’ll see soon enough.”
Fabric falls from your body. It pools on the floor at your feet. Your gaze falls with each article of clothing. Exposed to his scrutiny, you stand in your best lingerie set. Thinking he should get what he paid for, you’d donned it but now find a seed of apprehension blooming in your belly. Another thing he’ll nitpick or tease.
“Look at that,” he rasps, hand smoothing across your waist and gripping you close. Your feet stumble over each other and you brace yourself against his chest. “So pretty and just for me.” His fingers pluck at a bow on the front of your bra.
A shock of arousal hits you at his praise, leaving your knees weak. Gripping at his shoulders, you try to support yourself, and his eyes shine with amusement.
“You like when I talk sweet to you, pidge?”
He spins on his heels and takes you with him. With another stumble and a toss, your back bounces on the mattress. You gaze up at him, eyes wide as he chuckles and undoes his belt. With a snick of his zipper, he releases himself and strokes his cock. And, god you hate to admit it, it’s a thing of beauty. You meet his eye and feel the heat crawling up your cheeks.
He quirks his eyebrow and dips his chin. You push yourself clumsily to kneel before him on the soft mattress. His fingers trace your lips until your tongue licks over them. He smirks and leads you down with a firm hand.
The first tentative taste of his flesh sends a shiver up his spine and a breath puffing from his lips. You kiss his tip, eyes locked with his. His cock twitches. He growls and urges you forward until he enters your mouth and rests on your tongue. You purr around him and begin in earnest.
A few bobs of your head work him back as far as you can manage. Eyes close as you focus on your task. Head drifting on greedy waves of sensation and muscle memory, you swallow him further and further. Listening, yearning to hear how you affect him. Drool pools on your tongue, stimulating every part of him it can reach. Part of you wishes you might have your hands free, if only to feel him. Urge him further toward release.
His hips buck against your face and you gag. But he keeps you steady, a guiding hand pressed to the back of your head, gripping and massaging your scalp.
“So cute,” he muses with a brush of his fingers over your forehead. “Look up at me, li’l birdie.” Your eyes flutter open, waterline wet with the start of tears. Ransom smiles down at you and winks. You hum around him. His head falls back on his neck with a groan, abdominals flexing as he pulls you off and up. A weak noise of protest escapes your lips, plump with blood from the stretch of his cock. He pants, tongue darting out to lick over your swollen flesh. “Not bad,” he comments with a tilt of his head. “But I think I’m ready for a bit more, aren’t you?”
With a hand smoothing across your throat, his other lowers to find the apex of your thighs. A twist and pinch, a rip and your panties fall away. His fingers free to explore the most intimate part of you. You whine at the squelch of your arousal. The slickness shamefully copious as he plays with your pussy and grins. He hums in delight, but doesn’t say anything. That sound enough of a gloat to humiliate you.
“I can’t help it,” you protest, brow tilting pathetically.
“Oh,” he croons, smearing his lips across your cheek, “I know.” The gentle mocking of his words pierce through you. You huff in pitiful indignation.
His fingers pinch at your lower lips and your hips jolt. He barks a laugh, but his touch turns nicer. Stroking over your folds and swirling around your clit. Your breath hitches. The sensation curling in your belly, building your pleasure. Teeth nip at your pulse point, startling you. Ransom chuckles against your skin and begins to suck.
You’re weak with him. The prick of his teeth and the soothing swipe of his tongue mingling with the skill of his fingers. Filling your head until you can hardly think. Moans and gasps build in your chest, too persistent to ignore. Just as you reach the precipice of your climax, though, Ransom stops.
He grips your chin with sticky fingers, pecks a kiss to your gaping lips, and smirks. “Not yet.”
Once again your back finds the mattress. You stretch out, bones jelly and blood thrumming. You crave release now. More than you can say, leaving you only able to reach out as he strips off his sweater and jeans.
A chiseled Adonis he is not. Muscles flex beneath skin supple with just the slightest layer of cushion borne from a life of luxury and indulgence. So when he descends and pins you to the bed, you feel it against you—his strength and softness.
He slots himself between your thighs, pulling them up to his hips. His cock finds its place, slicking itself against your sex. You sigh and loop your bound hands around his neck.
You bite back a “please,” but he sees it shining in your eyes and denies you. Content to roll his hips. Each thrust knocking the head of his cock against your clit until you whine and wriggle beneath him.
“Don’t be like that, pidge,” he says with a mocking pout, swiping a thumb over you cheek where unbidden tears fall from your eyes. “I’ll let you have what you want.”
With the slightest shift, he prods at your entrance. Bare. You breath hitches. Hands grip at his hair.
“Protection!” you protest at the last minute, surfacing from the lusty daze with fear in your eyes.
Ransom takes it in stride, continuing his persistence. “What for?” he asks with another roll of his hips. A delicious, sparkling sensation skitters up your spine. “I’m clean, you’re clean, you’re on birth control. Right?” The drawl of his voice accompanies his descent toward your neck. Another nip and suck of your skin as you reluctantly nod. He reaches a hand down between your bodies, gripping his dick. “Then there’s no problem here, pidge.”
You whimper, “I—”
He thrusts into you. The stretch divine. His gorgeous cock filling you inch by inch until you ache. A moan rips from the depths of you, a wounded sound of pleasure. Your eyes squeeze shut, sweat dotting your brow. How can a douche like Ransom Drysdale feel so right when he’s inside you?
He pauses, eyes squeezed shut and chest heaving. “Fuck,” he hisses beneath his breath. Your own hips roll in an attempt to adjust, but his hand lashes out to stop you. His grip tight. “Squeezing me like a vice, pidge.” The husk of his voice, the strain, the need dripping from each word, it sends a shiver down your spine.
“Ransom,” you plead with a gentler tug at the roots of his hair, “please move.”
His eyes open, the blue tinged dark with desire. His lips part around a shuddering breath. Finding his composure, he tilts his hips, filling you just that little bit more until you gasp. “I’m gonna fill you up just right. Don’t you worry your pretty little head.”
There’s not a moment more to prepare yourself before he begins fucking you. The drag of his cock against your walls enough to make an endless stream of sounds dribble from your lips. You grip him for dear life. The clap of your bodies filling the room with your moans and heavy breaths.
Ransom takes and takes, filling you and grinding against you until your vision blurs. You cum on his cock, screaming your release. Your knees squeeze his sides. You cling to him. Yet no matter how he ruins you, he keeps going. To sate his own pleasure, to see you crumble just a little more, to chase some ineffable desire.
It takes him longer. The stutter of his hips, the warmth of his cum flooding you. You mewl, hips shifting at the sensation.
“Hold still,” he commands, gripping your face with one hand.
His other travels down your body. Pausing to play with the sensitive beads of your nipples. You squeak. But his true destination lay between your thighs where he keeps himself nestled. Your clit throbs with your pulse, overstimulated and tender. You tense, bracing for whatever his plans.
He plucks at the aching bundle of nerves despite your every twitter of protest. Smirk plastered on his face. His intentions clear as he rips another orgasm from you and another. Letting you milk his swelling cock with your sex.
Your tongue swipes across your dry lips. Knowing by the wiggle of his hips he prepares himself for another round—one that will surely be a delicious torment. Your head shakes, arms tightening around him. Hoping your silent pleas will be understood. Already overwhelmed by the night’s exertion.
But he starts again, pleasure gleaming in his eyes every time he knocks your aching clit with his pelvis. You reel with the sensations scourging your body. The way the pain washes over you with the sweetest hint of pleasure. That hint just enough to keep your mind searching for more. Clinging closer and rolling your hips in tandem with his.
Your head lolls on your shoulders, sure to keep your eyes locked with his. Knowing he might stop if you let them wander just a moment—both needing and dreading that brief reprieve.
“There we go, that’s what I’m looking for,” he purrs staring deep into your glassy eyes.
Sweat dampens his chest, pressed against you as he cages you in with his weight. His fingers lift, two of them prodding your lips and delving into your mouth. Your tongue tangles with them, teeth nipping his knuckles. You swallow around them and they withdraw, trailing a cool line of saliva down your throat. His wet fingers trail beneath the cups of your bra, pinching at the tender buds. A raw moan rises out of you at a particularly wicked thrust of his cock. And another. You shudder, an unstoppable wave of pleasure ripping through you and leaving you in a fit of pained euphoria.
But Ransom says nothing more. A look shining in his eyes, thoughtful and indecipherable. If you could contemplate the dawning of such a look, you might. Though, with the rush of your own orgasm flooding your head, the stutter of his hips and the spill of his cum, you’re lost. He falls off you with a grunt, sprawling across the open area of the bed.
“Shit,” he mutters to the room. Sweat glistens along his skin and musses his hair. His chest rises and falls with deep breaths. A hand wipes over his face. You might have taken offense to the utter disbelief radiating from him, if so inclined.
Instead, you rise, prising through the quick release of the cuffs. Emptiness and pain halts your movement. An ache between your thighs that plucks its sweet agony. No choice but to push through it.
As Ransom recovers, you gather your things. Aftercare far from your thoughts. Willing to face any possible repercussions yourself and in your own space. You dress hastily, intuition begging for retreat. Knowing that another moment with him might cement something inside you. Something you know will only end in pain and disappointment.
Each step, each movement he follows with his eyes. They burn into you. Whether in anger or some other resentment, you don’t know—don’t need to know. Slipping your shoes on at the door and gathering your bag, he says nothing to stop you. You pause with your hand on the doorknob and glance over your shoulder. He continues to rest on the bed, body gloriously lax, and stares. Quiet and contemplative. You leave him there.
All thought of the money forgotten. No. All you want now is to escape that seductive lure he offers. You pray he’ll keep his word. That you’ll receive what he feels he owes. You’ll manage with what you’ve got until he does and start forgetting this night ever happened. Move on, work with Harlan, perform with Chase—lead your normal life.
You rush from the hotel, cool morning air slapping you in the face. You stop and tilt your head back. Your regret washes over you. Your lips press together, holding it back. Keeping it at bay.
The trek home stretches before you. Tenuous hope growing that you’ll never see Ransom Drysdale again, even as you feel the fierce burn of a gaze at your back.

quick question (pun intended, even though I’m not asking abt him XD) what is Shadow Man’s role/personality like in your AU? From what I’ve seen, it’s like he’s pretty young and Top Man is kind of his friend? Guardian?
Hiiiiiii, ur ask got me so excited I yelled in my car on my way home from work/so so so positive
So. The 3 bots!!! They are so so cute to me (I call everything cute) because I love that they were made to function specifically as a team! A team to travel space together and mine power crystals?? They are so fun.
After the events of the 3rd game (which I will. Hopefully draw out one day) the 3 bots actually get to do their job!!! (After a lot of convincing from dr.light to the government or w/e that these robots will not go rogue again.)
Top (the leader), Needle, Spark, Magnet, Hard, Snake and Gemini all travel into space in a giant ship (I like to imagine they reused gamma in some way for this…I haven’t drawn it out yet tho) and investigate interstellar power sources!
Their missions are going great and their reports back to Light are pretty normal! Until…
Tumblr media
During one if his expeditions, Top stumbles upon an injured robot…in the middle of space??
Concerned, they take him back to their ship where he quickly charms the entire crew with his odd personality and adowable face. He doesn’t talk much, but he’s super excited to meet everyone, especially Top.
Eventually, they go back home to Earth and bring the mystery robot to Doctor Light but for some reason-
Tumblr media
They have *absolutely* not clue what the hell he’s made out of. Although he has the looks of a robot, he seemingly doesn’t have any actually mechanical components! Anytime they try to get a reading on what’s goin on in there, the images come out blurry and weird. Light worries about what would happen if Wily heard about this mysterious life form….(spoiler alert. He totally hears about it later)
In the meantime, the 3 bots offer to keep an eye on him. Light allows it, and thus, we have the final full 3rd group!
Tumblr media
With a great team spirit and hardworking attitudes the 3 bots have a bit more spice added to their lives with the addition of “Shadowman”! Named such due to his tendency to hide behind others like a shadow :^3
It must’ve been fate that lead them to each other…
Or was it?
Tumblr media
(Spoiler. It wasn’t)
Anyways. TLDR- yes, Top is like a guardian of sorts for Shadow lmao. He found a weird space baby and said “yeah, I’ll adopt him.” Little did he know that the space baby had this all planned from the beginning.

Options, and Options, and Options…
Giyuu Tomioka x reader
Kimetsu Academy AU!
~When Giyuu is signed up to bring a treat for the Academy’s Bake sale, you help him figure out what to bring
WC: 1.7k
~This prompt was supposed to be a part of my Comfort Milestone Event, but I accidentally lost it for a few months… Oops... Thank you to everyone who sent in requests for this event!
Tumblr media
Giyuu is more than ready to head home after a long day of teaching. Recently, he feels that he hasn’t gotten to spend any time with you, his darling significant other
“Mr. Tomioka!” a friendly yet loud voice calls from down the long hallway. Giyuu stops in his tracks and turns toward its owner. The History Teacher, Kyojuro Rengoku, rushes past clusters of students and comes toward him energetically, his bright and sincere smile never leaving his face. “The school-wide bake sale is tomorrow; what was it you signed up to bring?”
Giyuu blinks at the smiling man and responds, “There’s a bake sale tomorrow?”
Rengoku’s smile never falters as he pulls out a copy of the staff sign-up sheet. His name is written down in a bright green pen under the desert column, but that is not in his handwriting.
He realizes it must be Obanai since, for some reason, the other Teacher likes to play pranks on him. But he isn’t unliked, so it is a bit confusing to him why that is the case.
“Oh.”
“Yes, so you will be bringing dessert then?” the Teacher says in his usual loud voice. It draws attention from the passing students and staff, making the poor man feel a bit pressured. He likes Mr. Rengoku, so he doesn’t want to just back out now, even if Obanai did write his name down without asking him.
“I guess so,” he says, sealing his fate.
“That sounds wonderful; I hope I get to taste what you bring tomorrow,” he says happily, patting Giyuu on the back. The friendly gesture makes him happy, but he knows that there will be a bruise from just how strong the man is.
As the hallway clears out, The dark-haired Teacher sighs deeply, he wasn’t expecting to have to make something so last minute, but now maybe the two of you could bake something for the sale together.
~
You had just put away the dishes from the drying rack when your Fiance walked through the front door. An unusually troubled expression on his calm and handsome face as his sapphires look at you hopefully.
“Hi,” he mumbles, approaching you with intention. He is itching to ask you something.
“What’s wrong?” you ask sweetly as you wrap your arms around him.
“There’s a bakesale at work tomorrow, and someone signed me up to bring something,” he explains. “I know it’s last minute, but I was wondering if you would help me make something.” For some reason, he looks so ashamed to be telling you all this. (It’s just too cute.)
You brighten up and give him your happiest grin. “A bake sale!” you gush, never one to turn down a baking date, “What should we make?”
He gives you a rare smile, looking more than a bit relieved, “Do you really want to make something with me?”
“Absolutely, I love baking with you.” you smile. “I saved a bunch of baking videos that we can watch, “We have a bit of everything we need to bake, so we don’t need to worry about shopping for ingredients.”
The tenseness in his shoulders dissipates as he looks at you lovingly. “Thank you,” he whispers, enveloping your lips with his own in a grateful kiss. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
The sincerity tugs at your heartstrings, but you have hours of videos to watch, and the two of you could remain trapped in this sugary sweet moment for hours if you don’t do something to shatter it. “And I don’t know what I would do without Giyuu.”
At the utterance of your terrible pun, he pulls away and flicks you on the forehead. “I’m going to go and change out of these clothes, and then we can start,” he says, turning abruptly and disappearing down the hall and into your bedroom. As he does that, you open up the youtube app on your tv so you can watch all of your saved baking videos on the big screen.
You weren’t kidding when you told him you had hours of videos to go through. Baking videos are so soothing you watch a few when your mood needs a bit of sweetness and save the good ones for future projects.
Just as the playlist is cued up, Giyuu comes back into the room. He stares down at his phone, looking a bit stressed. Just as you are about to ask him why his face is so long, he shows you messages from the Teacher’s group chat.
The message from Tengen catches your eye.
Don’t forget to bring your flashiest of treats for tomorrow’s bake sale.
Just remember that nothing you bring will be as flashy as my treats.
“Someone’s confident.” you laugh. “But it doesn’t matter what he brings because our’s will taste better,” wanna know why?”
He rolls his eyes jokingly, “Because it’s made with love?” he asks, going onto another tab.
“Nope, lots of sugar.” you chuckle, giving him a playful peck on the cheek.
“Some gym teacher I am,” he grins, glancing down at the screen again. “Oh, they sent out a list of treats people have already signed up to bring.”
“Can I see?” you ask as he holds out the list on his phone for you to read. It takes a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the brighter screen, but when they do, your brows furrow. Everything from brownies to Dango has been taken by more prepared parents and teachers.
There may not be a rule against it, but you would like to bring something different and eye-catching to the table.
“What should we do?” he sighs, leaning against you, his sapphire blue eyes looking up at you tiredly.
“Don’t worry, we have hours of inspiration to look through,” you chirp, hoping to ease his worries just a bit. You know that if he doesn’t bring anything, the other teachers won’t let him forget it.
“I trust you,” he says as you press play on the first of many videos on your saved playlist where a cute old grandma makes little graham cracker tarts.
“These are easy,” you explain. “The only thing that needs to be baked in the crust, and then you can fill the shells with whatever we want.”
“It looks easy,” he hums. How long would it take us to make it?
“Only an hour or so,” you reply, “let’s look at a few more videos just to be safe.
He nods thoughtfully before leaning onto you.
“Are you tired?” you ask softly, mesmerized by the way the black trendles of his hair seem to melt in between your fingers.
“No, I’m just resting my eyes for a second,” he mumbles, leaning further into your touch. “Let’s watch a few more videos.”
“Sounds good to me,” you hum, not noticing that the little scalp massage makes his lids even more droopy.
The auto-play feature is a dangerous thing. You watch video after video, listening to the soft sound of kitchen ambiance music, not realizing that hours have gone by. And Giyuu is fast asleep.
‘Maybe just one more video,’ you think to yourself, not recognizing the yawn that escapes your mouth.
Giyuu’s presence next to you makes you feel so warm, so safe, so comfortable on this couch you wouldn’t mind sitting here and going through your whole playlist.
There are just so many things to choose from,
Just So many Options
And Options
And Optio….
~
The sun peeks through the blinds, hitting your face at just the right angle to wake you up. Sitting up from your spot on the couch, you notice that your neck feels a bit stiff.
“Shit…” The words leave your mouth as you wipe a bit of drool from your chin.
Giyuu, still asleep next to you, shifts a bit when you jolt up, his arms instinctually trying to grab ahold of you and keep you close to him.
“Giyuu,” you say, shaking him lightly. “You gotta wake up for me.”
After a few more shakes than necessary, he blinks his eyes open sleepily. “What’s wrong?”
“We fell asleep,” you say
His eyes shoot open, and he sits up even quicker than you did, dark hair flying everywhere; the blanket that was on top of him sinks to the floor, and he glances around the room. “The Bake sale is today; we didn’t make anything last night.”
“Again, we fell asleep,” you say, getting up from the couch to check the time. It’s only six o’clock, which means that you two have plenty of time to pull something together.
“Two hours may not be plenty of time, but it’ll do.”
“Do you still have that tart recipe?” he asks, pulling his hair back with a hairband. “If not, I can just grab some donuts from the convenience store and bring those.”
“Absolutely not.” you huff, crossing your arms. “We have plenty of time to make those tarts.”
He smiles softly and strides across the room, “You are so stubborn sometimes.” he says, kissing the top of your head. “I love that about you.”
He goes in for another kiss, but you stop him. “Uhuh, no more distractions until the dessert is made.”
He looks so sad, and you relent. “Okay, maybe one more.” you giggle
~
It was a bit of a time crunch, but you made enough tarts to bring to the bake sale. You help him carry them into the school just as the other teachers are arriving.
You watch as Giyuu sets the platter on the table with pride. When it came to baking, he made sure to take on a majority of the tasks so you could get ready to go to work.
Good morning you two,” a loud and energetic voice calls. Turning around, Rengoku looks as bright-eyed and alert as ever as he greets you with a smile.
“Good Morning,” you say brightly, “It looks like the bake sale is going to be great.”
“Indeed, Those look very tasty,” Rengoku declares, poking his head over Giyuu’s shoulder and eyeing the treats with enthusiastic admiration before placing what looks like a loaf of banana bread right onto the table next to your display. “I’ll have to buy one for myself.”
“You would?” Giyuu asks softly, feeling proud that he has earned approval from such a nice colleague.
“Certainly,” Rengoku says. “I think they will be the first treat to sell out today.”
“Indeed, they look very flashy.” Tengen declares, coming up behind you and setting his platter of suspiciously uniform-looking snack cakes down on the table's far side. If you didn’t know any better, you would think they were made by a Little woman named Debbie.

[A section of this ask is blurred because it contains deeply personal and upsetting information I feel should not be public.]
Concubi are used to being seen as dirty creatures, unfortunately. They expect many surfacers and even some denizens of Hell to glance at them with nothing but disdain, to loathe them for their mere existence or refuse to engage with them in public.
Santi has dealt with so many types of religiously driven people that he won't be bothered by your shenanigans at all, in fact, they amuse him at first. Cum in buns? He sure does, love. Very cute. Here's the thing though, you're going to say the name of his kind now. He promises you won't burst into flames. Whether or not you live in shame of what he is, the demon doesn't care, so long as you submit to your own desires he'll let you make a martyr of yourself.
Vesper corrects you immediately when he realizes you're not just joking for the sake of endearing yourself to him. Incubus. King of Lust. Master of Whores. Icon of Harlots- THE Slut. You better say these out loud or Vesper will get very upset with you. Call him what he is, your sin and pleasure in the flesh. Any religious trauma you confess to him will be worked through, perhaps in a rather forceful way, as the demonlord demands you masturbate for him until he's satisfied you've come enough times.
Lacai just lets you cope however you want. Inky? In-cum-buns? Right yes, adorable. He's rolling his eyes and his lids certainly twitch with irritation from time to time, but he comes up with his own equally silly names for your kind, such as "eugh-man". Doesn't sound that nice, does it? Lacai won't take it personally, but he'll keep it up for as long as you use those euphemisms too, driving the message home hopefully.
Nena, the poor thing, takes a while to catch on. But you can see the distaste slowly take over her features when she realizes you just can't say her species' name. That's fine, you're ashamed, all of your kind is... She's just disappointed she let herself expect better. At the same time that she doesn't really pipe up about it, you can visibly tell her mood plummets. She doesn't even laugh at your attempted puns.
While Lemoana is kind-hearted, she's also proud of who and what she is, so the moment it looks like you're just refusing to say what type of demon she is, she'll immediately make you an ultimatum. Say succubus right then and there or she'll leave. Because she's not about to dedicate herself to someone who's disgusted or afraid of her species. Someone who'll discriminate against her purely because she's a succubus. You don't have time to explain your situation to her, either say it or lose her.

Fawx & Stallion Crowdfund: What is this season, even?
Tumblr media
Great question, detective! I also want to know what I'm investing in before I make the decision one way or the other--James Stallion would be impressed!
Season one followed Hampton, James, and Madge in 1889, as they solved The Case of the Crimeria Jewels over the course of 9 episodes and one long weekend (while Holmes and Watson were away working on some case about a dog in Dartmoor). Season two will be a brand new, ten episode, full-cast mystery and, in the great tradition of sequels everywhere, operates on a bit larger of a scale.
We'll pick up two years later in:
LONDON, 1891! At the press night of London’s first amusement park, and James’s newest investment venture, a ghastly murder is committed, and its intended target appears to be one of the illustrious residents of 221B. The only problem being, he’s since disappeared, leaving only the residents of 224B to solve the case… and this time, every eye in London has turned to them…
Does it seem like we may be leaving a few things out in that description? Misleading you a tiny bit? Drawing out tension for a better listening experience when the season arrives? How dare you, we would never! But also: trust us. And also: fuck it, more teases under the cut.
An increased scope! This season is far more ambitious than the first, in terms of the scale of the narrative and the extent to which we are widening out the world of the show. Which means…
New characters! They’re coming, whether you like it or not! We can’t wait for you to meet this illustrious lineup of new suspects, clients, and informants with very serious names like Lucius Peppermint, Dr. Iphegenia Brown, Desmond Highbottom, Farnsworth Truckle, Chauncy Grace, Joey Biscotti, and Fitzy. But that’s not all…
New settings! Did you catch that theme park mention in the season tease? Yeah, it’s a thing! One of this season’s settings is a full-scale, themed Victorian amusement park that we cannot tell you any more about other than the fact that it is the single silliest thing we’ve ever put (virtually) to paper and now hopefully into your ears. Speaking of other things we can’t wait to bring to you…
Holmes and Watson! That’s right, they’re in the public domain, which means they’re actually in this season! Listeners may remember them from our surprise minisode, The Case of the Well-Earned Holiday, but since they’re back in town (and right across the street) they’ll be pretty hard to ignore. Much like…
Puns! I cannot spoil any of these but rest assured they are plentiful and they are glorious. Also like…
More Set Pieces! The first season had an underground fight club that opened up into a lava pit. Just imagine what our incredible sound design team is going to bring to life this time! And speaking of “bringing to life…”
A murder this time! We’ve been reliably informed that a great way to raise the stakes from a season one jewel heist is to center this season around a murder case so… Yeah! We do, in fact, kill a (fictional) guy this time! It rocks*! (*narratively, not ethically, the Fawx & Stallion team in no way endorses murder as fun or cool unless it is very silly and fictional and did we mention deeply silly)
(Also there are some clues in that crowdfund picture but you didn't hear it from us)

Buck & Eddie: Tommy is JUST A Friend! 7x4 Sneak Peek
Here's a sneak peek of one scene from tomorrow's episode.
Buck is being shown around Air Rescue Operations by Tommy while Eddie's actually going to a FIGHT (pun intended since Buck and Eddie will have a "kerfuffle" - Judge Judy's word) match with Tommy.
IMO, there doesn't appear to be any flirtatious vibes between them so it's unclear where all these speculations regarding Buck and Tommy getting together are coming from.
I only ship BUDDIE!
Be clear, I don't like Tommy (especially the part where he called him, Evan 🙄 maybe that's where one of the 7x5 "You don't know me"'s will come from since only Maddie and Eddie call Buck by his legal name) but he told Buck saving someone's life and then, dating them, never turns out the way it's expected. (That's foreshadowing because Eddie and Buck saved each other's lives. They didn't rescue each other they saved the other one (related post linked here). THEREFORE IT WILL BE DIFFERENT WHEN BUCK AND EDDIE DATE EACH OTHER!)
But Eddie told him dating someone he rescued never works out which is different so, hopefully Eddie will take his own advice and end whatever the frick frack he is doing with Marisol.
Finally, Buck seems to be seeing if other options are available at the LAFD but Eddie IS NOT! He's not looking for another job but apparently Buck is and didn't tell anyone.

i’ve been thinking about haikyuu name meanings again, so i thought i’d share two of the name meanings that make me smile a lot :)))
木 boku - tree 兎 to - rabbit (?) 光 kou - shining, glory, pride 太郎 tarou - “great” son or first son 赤 aka - red, communism (??) 葦 ashi - reed (?) 京 kei - ten quadrillion; other readings (kyou, tokyo), capital city 治 ji - govern, regulate
so i’ve purposefully kept the direct kanji meanings, even tho most of them are simple and/or non sensical when applied to bokuto and akaashi’s character. but i've done so to replicate my own confusion and (hopefully) eventual satisfaction when i’d worked tho the many layers of word play.
so the first character of bokuto’s name 木 (tree) i originally thought was supposed to tie him to owls, yknow bc owls are often sitting in trees, and that might be part of it, but when 木 is used in adjectival constructions (so instead of ‘tree’ it might mean more ‘wooden’) and applied to people it often carries pejorative connotations of stupidity, close to the english ‘blockheaded’ - which i have to admit. did make me chuckle. (note: i thought there might be some connection between boku and boke the insult kags is always launching at hinata but they seem to be unrelated go figure)
兎 (to) was another confusing one, since ordinarily 兎 is the character for usagi (rabit), but when read as to there didn't seem to be any real mean associated with it, which is funny because most of the names in hq!! have more thought put into them then that. i was just about to write it off, when i looked up the two kanji together on wiktionary and-
木兎 mimizuko - alt. spelling for eagle/horned owl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
see above: eagle owl and bokuto koutarou for comparaison.
so basically in bokuto's name there is both a pun calling him a bit thick and a pun with the type of owl that inspired him how fucking incredible is that??? i personally love it
光太郎 (koutarou) seems to be a bit more of a traditional name, and we also have a very clear in-universe explanation for it's meaning. bokuto is the youngest of three with two older sisters, and it seems mr and mrs bokuto were very proud to finally have a son (ehhh patriarchy sucks sorry it is what it is) and wanted to give him a name that reflected their feelings. however, i do also think that 光 can also be taken to represent bokuto's presence in the series as a whole.
the first meaning of 光 being 'shining' obviously makes me think of the most bokuaka line in all of canon "we are the stars of the world" (ik some translations use protagonists in place of stars but shhh i'm being symbolic plus the vers i read used "stars"), because bokuto is such a star, he shines so brightly, and motivates so many people (the least of whom being akaashi and the rest of fukurodani). bokuto was always destined for glory and stardom in volleyball, but i think he's also just. so bright of a person. like yes, ofc he has his moods and his caprices, but that doesn't change how much he just, well, shines, brightens up a room. i don't know how much of this was intentional or accidental, but i like it.
~
like with bokuto's name, i ran into a bit of trouble with 赤葦 (akaashi) at first. literally, it means red reed, which didn't really seem significant. although 赤 (aka) also means 'red' as in 'communist' so now even tho it is certainly not at all the intended meaning i now and forever will headcanon akaashi as being a communist or someone at the very least well versed in communist theory. however, like with bokuto, akaashi's name is actually a reference to アカアシフクロウ (akaashi-fukuro) or アカアシモリフクロウ (akaashi-mori-fukuro), so another type of owl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i've already talked about what i find so amusing about 京治 (keiji) in this post, but to summarise here (actually maybe this counts as an expansion?), the most relevant part to akaashi's character is the second kanji 治, meaning to govern or to regulate. 治 is sometimes used on it's own, but it is also often used in compounds related to peace, healing, (and politics, my commie akaashi headcanon wins again hahaha).
i think akaashi's character evolves from what it was intended to be, and i'm not sure how accurate this meaning is by the time we reach the end of canon (or maybe i've just been reading to much bokuaka fic and it's skewing my perception of him), but akaashi started out a bit like bokuto's external emotional regulator. for someone with as insane mood swings as bokuto, mood swings that other people struggled to understand and react to, he must have had quite a hard time, and indeed we're shown that his difficulties managing his emotions seriously and negatively affects his performance on the court. enter akaashi. akaashi, who through careful observation, quickly learns to not just react to bokuto's mood swings, but to understand them, their causes, and even eventually to anticipate them, effectively giving bokuto the tools he needs to learn to control his emotions and continue giving his all like akaashi knows he can.
i think it's relevant that 治 is also used to talk about healing and peace, (and not just governing which has rather unfortunate implications of control and coercion that i don't particularly like) because that is what akaashi's presence in bokuto's life ultimately provides, as evidenced by bokuto's growth by the end of the series ("hey look guys i'm just a normal ace!" meaning he's learned to manage his emotions by himself, something that i think would have been a much longer and harder journey without akaashi's influence).
when i said i'm not sure how accurate 治 is when applied to akaashi's character by the end of the series, i mean that i think it downplays the reciprocal nature of bokuto and akaashi's relationship, because for as much as akaashi helps bokuto manage his mood swings, bokuto also provides a lot of emotional support and motivation to akaashi. and i'm not sure this was something that furudate had already taken into account when first coming up with these characters.
i think there might be smaller symbolic meaning relating to akaashi's position as a setter, but that's really only a minor detail i think...
anyways, there you have it! bokuaka kanji meanings and thoughts!! do let me know if you have different interpretations, or if i've missed something, i really really reallyyyyy like talking about things like this but for now brb i am going to go read like a dozen bokuaka oneshots xx
