It took way to long to do this drawing but now it's done and I really do like how it came out! Also yes I have completely overhauled my Cole design and I'll make a new character sheet eventually!

Now I do want to very briefly address something that has been going around the internet and it's the whole discourse about Cole and Geo possibly becoming an item at some point. I'm not going to go out an say everyone has to like it that is not my intention! I personally enjoy the ship (and others) BUT disliking the ship does NOT give people a pass to be disrespectful and flat our hateful in certain circumstances!

The sheer amount of homophobia I have seen since season 2 of DR came out is honestly concerning and I know it's probably not the majority but is a concerningly loud group of people. I think it's ironic that a show that has been about accepting people even if they're different since as far back as season one (Zane and Cole's true potential episodes being the examples) has people so mad that they might being including people of different groups. I honestly just think it's a shame that people can be so hateful.

Anyways that's my rant of the weekend lol, I just hope that people can generally just be more nice!

Hazy. The club is a blur of neon lights and pounding bass - the smoke machine misting everything and messing up your field of vision. You can barely see in front of you. All that matters is Amber anyways. The air is thick with the scent of sweat, her perfume, and that sweet smoky haze that makes everything feel like a dream.

Each beat vibrates through the floor and into your bones. Bodies are everywhere, a sea of movement, pulsing and swaying like a single, living entity. Every sensation feels fuzzy. Everything except Amber and the way she moves with you. The way she feels as your hands slide along her body.

You've been downing shots without a second thought all night. Amber had warned you to slow down - this wasn't her house, where you two could get sloshed without any consequence except her parents scolding you about getting into the liquor cabinet again. But you were having too much fun. The liquid fire burning down your throat was sweet, and thinking of consequences seemed absurd when you were with her. With Amber, things just went right. Felt right.

Some stranger bumps against you, messing up your rhythm as you were swaying with her. No biggie, and you can barely hear their slew of apologies. A giggle pours out of you. "No, no, it's alright," you tell them.

You can barely get the words out before you hear "get your hands off my girlfriend" from behind you. Amber's arm goes around your waist and you're sure she's giving this poor club goer a death glare. She's good at that.

"Don't be like that, Ams, it's not like they shoved me," you defend.

Your cheeks are flushed, you can tell because everything feels hotter, and it's probably half the drink and half embarrassment as the stranger walks off terrified of your girlfriend. She doesn't have to do this every time. You can take care of yourself. So you tell her as much. Or try, at least, your words are all jumbled in your drunken exasperation.

Amber rolls her eyes. "Uh huh." Hands going on your hips, you feel yourself being ushered away from the crowd. And look, you don't hate having a pretty girl's hands all over you but you'd be okay if she was a little less protective. Just a bit.

"People dance. They get bumped into. It's fine. I'm fine!" To prove your point, you pull your hand back from how she's dragging you. You can walk for yourself, thank you very much, and can follow her just fine. "See, no broken bones."

The stairs down to the club's bathroom is a little tricky, so you cling to the railing, glaring when Amber wraps her arm around you instead. It's when she presses a kiss to your hair that you melt into her hold. 

When Amber closes the bathroom door behind the two of you, the music is muffled. That fuzzy feeling remains, but it's quieter too. You see her grabbing wads of the toilet paper, cussing out the club for only having 'shitty one ply'. When Amber comes back over and tells you to get up onto the sink, you gasp.

"Here?" you ask, looking over to the door. Biting your lip, you weigh up the pros and cons of a bathroom quickie. "Someone could walk in..."

But oh well. You're up for some fun, especially when it involves your Amber. Leaning forward, you dig your thumbs into Amber's waistband, ready to tug it down and have at her. Mm. The taste of her on your tongue sounds even more delicious than the shots you downed, and you hope it'll go down as smoothly.

"God, you're a mess, babygirl." Amber sounds both exasperated and affectionate, both of which make you pout. Especially when she's grabbing your hands and taking them away from your attempts to unclothe her. "Not that I'm not flattered by the offer, but that can wait until later. Probably when you're more sober." Your pout deepens. It makes Amber laugh, and she kisses it away. "I'm just gonna clean you up. So get on there, now."

"Well, that's less fun," you whisper to yourself.

Palms on the sink countertop, you hike yourself up until you can sit comfortably. Curious eyes watch as Amber methodically wets a wad of tissues, dabbing it against your side, then does the same with a dry tissue. You didn't even realise that a drink had splashed on you when you bumped into someone. Whoops.

"Hanging with me isn't fun?" Amber asks. If you were sober, you could glean her sarcastic tone a mile away. But your mind's looser right now. Thinking less and saying more.

"I'm having a great time," you correct. "You know that. I have the most fun when I'm with you. Because of you."

"Uh huh."

She's cute when she's serious. Hell, she's cute all the time. Amber's got these pretty brown eyes that go all big and sweet only when she's looking at you. You, or some particularly gorey scene in whatever horror flick she's watching, but it's sweeter when it's you. Your drunk brain tells you that you should tell her.

"You're adorable."

"Yuck." Amber's nose scrunches up in distaste, because that's certainly not a word she'd like to associate with herself, but she's focusing on cleaning you up. She throws the tissues to the nearby bin before starting the process over again. "You sure you're not talking about yourself, cutie?"

Those eyes fix on yours. You think you could melt into a pile of goo when you're looking into them. That familiar fuzz from before intensifies, concentrating in your chest rather than your brain. Loving Amber can feel like radio static, like you have no words to say except for her name over and over. Your similes aren't even making any sense.

"Positive," you say, popping the 'p'. You grin when that makes her smile.

You wish sometimes that she could take the compliment as well as she dishes them out to you. You wish she'd see herself the way you do. Not as some tough protector whose only merit is to save you, but as Amber. Pure and simple. You wish she knew how cute and sweet she is in the simple moments, that she doesn't have to try so hard to keep your eyes on her. Maybe when you were sober enough to string those words and complicated feelings together.

When she's all done with wiping you off, and satisfied that your clothes won't stain or stink of alcohol, Amber helps you off of the counter. You let her pull you flush against her front, a sigh escaping your lips at the feel of her body holding yours. She smells good. And her chest is soft against yours. With the amount of shots coursing through your body, it's tempting to rest against her. Amber is your favourite pillow, be that in the afterglow after a satisfying hook up or in the peace of her cuddles.

"I wasn't pulling you into a hug, baby," she says, "I was trying to get you to the hand dryer."

"Oh." Amber's too comfortable for her own good. You squeeze her tight before letting go, just cause you can. "Yeah, I knew that."

Standing under the heat of the hand dryer, your girlfriend supporting your weight, you wonder what this night would've been like without her. You wouldn't have been as comfortable on the dance floor, you wouldn't have let yourself drink this much. You get playfully annoyed at her for it, but Amber's protectiveness is why you let yourself get so sloppy. Amber is the reason you can let go. You trust her.

You wonder if she trusts you too. She should. You'd do anything for her.

"I get to think you're cute if you think I'm cute." And-" a hiccup, "I get to take care of you if you take care of me."

Amber laughs. She thinks this is some random drunken thought. "What are you-"

"No, shhhh." Your finger comes up and presses against those full lips that you adore kissing. "Let me love you. Let me say this."

Amber sighs. "Alright, baby. Whatever you want." Her hand goes to your hip, thumb going to rub slow circles as she waits for your words.

You want to tell her that she doesn't have to tell strangers to back off because your eyes are only ever on her. You want to say that she can let go and have fun too, because you've got her back. That you cherish her. That she doesn't have to be tough all the time, not around you at least.

The hand dryer stops. You pat the once-wet spot on your clothes, satisfied at the dry feeling after Amber's efforts. When you look up, the words that were going to escape your mouth stop. She's so close, her eyes focused on you as she tucks a wayward strand behind your ear, finger grazing your skin so lightly. Amber takes such good care of you without even needing to be asked.

So you smile, and instead you say "thank you, Ams" and "I'll take care of you too, when you need me."

"I already knew that, baby."

Amber lays a kiss on your lips and it tastes better than any alcohol.

I'm so sick and tired of the toxicity going on currently in the 9-1-1 fandom. Like don't get me wrong every fandom has it's toxic side but this bs has just grown since Buck came out and Tommy and him started dating.

Like TommyxBuck shippers have been sending people de*th threats to people who have different opinions,or buddie shippers. If your reaction to anyone talking negative about your favorite ship is to send them de*th threats there's something really wrong with you.

Then there's all the biphobia going on. Saying shit like "I hope Buck gets HIV after breaking up with Tommy." Or "Buck isn't bi if he wasn't with Tommy." I'm begging you look up the definition of bisexual,Buck could date another woman or date another dude after Tommy and still be bisexual!! He could date a non-binary person and still be bisexual. Just because hes dating Tommy doesn't mean he's any less bisexual,and if theres ever a break up it doesn't make him any less bisexual. His journey doesn't depend around Tommy,it's his and no one's else. Also saying your hoping a character gets HIV is fucked up for a few reasons,it's stereotyping bisexuals/queer people and it's harmful. Like do people not know what that is?? How people used to use it a excuse to hate queer people in the 1980s and 1990s?? And the people we lost to it??

Now let's get to people wanting Eddie to be killed off. People generally want a cannon Latino to be killed off just so Tommy and Buck raise Chris??? Once again tf. And the fact people now want Eddie to be killed off after his actor opened up about a su*c*de attempt?? This generally hurts people who have delt with this stuff and for people to want this to happen,when we had both Maddie and Bobby struggle with it. Then people trying to justify Lou ferrgnio racist and grows past. I'm sorry if your using Ryans and Olivers past to validate the stuff he's done,is so messed up. What Ryan did cost him his relationship with the rest of the cast for a few years,and he got cancelled and attacked online back in 2020. It's only now Ryan and the rest of the cast have made addends,but it doesn't change the fact he was held accountable for his actions which he should be. He's apologized,showed he wanted to and made sure he would do better. Nothing will change the fact he said it. For Lou he literally kept shit up on his Instagram and never took it down,and tried to justify his characters actions. He never apologized,never took down the post,he just kept it up even though it's harmful. If someone does something they should be held accountable for there actions,even if it's from the past since it could still hurt people now. Also charging 200 dollars for cameros just to make up head cannons about his character.

Also ignoring cannon,like big plots like Buck literally hating his name,gets pissed off at his parents for calling him it. And now people are calling him Evan?

What is sad is that both sides of the fandom are blind to their favorites' misdeeds.

I'm not agreeing with people digging up Lou's dirt, but some of his fans bring up Ryan's dirt time and time again for what? Eliminating the competition? Delegitimizing a non-canon ship despite they already have their own canon ship? When many other cast and crew have their own questionable beliefs but are still employed? Even Oliver date(d) someone who is a fan of right-wing pundits and no one bats an eye because, why? He's the center of this shipping war and if he's kicked out of the show the foundation will crumble?

Both sides suck. Both sides have all of these unspoken intents with airing the rival ships' dirt. Let's not ignore one side to put a blame on the other. Plain and simple.

I...think we're actually agreeing here? Because what this all boils down to is hypocrisy. The Lou and Tommy hate is, lbr, mostly coming from fans who are still reeling over Queer Eddie getting scrapped before it ever got put on paper. I agree that what Ryan did in 2020 shouldn't still be treated as a "gotcha" moment when his cast mates ultimately were the ones who had to (and chose to) accept his apology. But that's not the only incident that exposed us to how he moves when the set cameras aren't rolling. His stans keep up with everything. They purposely didn't talk about a lot of his behavior during his relationship because they didn't want to invite that negativity to their blogs. And some were in straight up denial, claiming his ex was using his account and posting things SHE agreed with. Do I hope being on his own is helping him separate himself from those conservative/right-wing ideologies? 100%. But if you're (gen) going to talk about what someone was posting on instagram ten years ago because you don't like that he's "in the way of a ship" (and yes, that's the only reason they were looking, they didn't know who tf he was just a few months ago), what someone else believes or posted much more recently than that is also fair game. The bottom line? Fandom needs to learn to separate the actors from their characters or quit the show altogether. There will always be something not to like about these people if we take the time to dig deep enough into their backgrounds and we shouldn't be deciding where they "rank" in terms of offensiveness just because of who they play on tv. What's not offensive to one person is gonna be offensive to another. It's all the same.

Chat I need to yap about Dead Boy detectives.

I've seen so much stuff about Charles having the "I wish you were a girl" mentality, and I 100% agree.

Like, both Charles and Edwin grew up during times where it was way more difficult to be open and proud about being Queer. Edwin was the first to actually start realising that his feelings were okay because of Niko and Monty (partly the cat king). Meanwhile Charles was after Crystal (and who can blame him she's wonderful) but I personally think Charles just doesn't fully know what being in love feels like

Like, he was at an all boys school. With the fact that he's queer, he's definitely been in love. However, we know his dad was a fucking dick, and I personally think that the reason was also partly Homophobia. Like, yeah people can be assholes for no fucking reason, and hit their kids without any reason at all, but I imagine that Charles maybe hinted at being queer (like. Look at him.) And his father hated that, so Charles just always had the mentality of "this isn't what love feels like" whenever liking a boy. So he meets Crystal, after having no connection to another person his age who wasn't a guy, and he knows they'll be around each other a lot because of her case still having to be solved/ the amnesia and all and he just jumps on the train of "Basically, I HAVE to like her!" (Listen, I think they're cute, genuinely no hate towards their ship or anything, i really love their relationship) Like, Charles definitely knew girls in his time, but he's so clumsy with flirting (or better, old timey becausehe hasnt flirted since the 80s / it feels clumsy to me but i suck at flirting myself so thats that), I partly think that he's never actually had a girlfriend (because how would he bring that girl into a household he didn't feel safe in? Because Charles is the guy to 100% want his partner to feel safe at all times, and he can't guarantee that whenever he's home) he's definitely been a flirt though etc etc we all know what he's like (and that he probably still has some experience- more than Edwin at least, which isn't hard though)

I just think Charles wishes Edwin was a girl because then he wouldn't have to have his inner internalised Homophobia alarmbells ring.

I genuinely hope that in season 2, Charles finds the same way of accepting himself as Edwin did

i think the entire 911 fandom situation is very interesting to witness because we've been saying this for years: buck and eddie girlies would have been at each other's throats all this time if their common ship hadn't united them. i think the current takes show incredibly well that the same people who hate bucktommy simply wanted eddie to have the queer storyline, with or without buck. i do understand that. people can have favorite characters and want them to have specific storylines. but now, from a narrative standpoint, bi eddie and buddie seem very unlikely to ever happen in canon. buck girlies get to enjoy canon bisexual buck kissing a man on screen and being in love while they cannot and probably will never get that for eddie. at least not with a man, and let's be real, that's all the hardcore antis seem to care about. i think now, given all that has happened in s7, we're finally seeing people's favoritism unveiled (not that it wasn't obvious the entire time) and there is less unity on where the story should go for buck and eddie. suddenly, i think for the first time ever, hardcore buddie shippers are truly forced to actually view buck and eddie as individuals that live alongside each other as besties while having their own separate lives. it's funny to me that antis act as if people have "abandoned" eddie. he is getting heavy focus in s7? he is still a main character? shouldn't people be happy that his character is further explored and his trauma is hopefully finally worked on? i feel like i appreciate canon eddie more than many eddie girlies do just because many eddie girlies seem to enjoy a highly fanonized version of him only. and that fanon version is being shattered, due to bucktommy and now with eddie being confirmed to still love shannon, the love of his life. it's good for the 911 ecosystem. i hope this adjustment period will end soon, and people will finally calm down about the buddie agenda.

I truly did not even think about Eddie vs. Buck being such a huge trigger for the drama, which I why I love these constructive discussions. And I agree that if not for their friendship/the discussion of Buddie it could have created a lot of tension (“Buck’s getting more screen time, they’re making Eddie look like the bad guy, it’s not fair this and that”). It’s one of the reasons I suspect that small radical group may end up imploding because if they’re not getting the attention they want from us they’re going to start fighting amongst themselves.

I agree that if not to Buddie the idea of Eddie being queer would have never come up but then again I’m not sure any girlfriend would have been good enough? It’s a double-edged sword. And I think the show has amazing queer representation and adding another character journey so similar to Buck’s would seem too repetitive and do a disservice to the others because it would feel like a trend.

I did a post a while ago with a bit of a rant about how Ryan seems so excited about his future character development (think he’s ready to portray some good angst) and it was automatically brought back to Buddie. How is journey is really about Buddie and how it goes back to that. And talk about a disservice. You’d think people would be THRILLED for Eddie to get his own individual storyline but alas no.

I haven’t always been an Eddie fan, I may be biased towards Buck but whether it was intentional or not, I always found him to be a bit selfish and his relationship with Buck a bit more one way or another. Which could be me totally misreading it but this sesson?! OMG I’ve fallen in love with him again. He’s so silly and playful, the basketball scene where he’s doing that little head bop makes me all sorts of 😍😍😍. I feel like it’s a true representation of who he js and that’s probably why all the Shannon drama is coming up, he’s going back to himself and that brings back a lot of repressed trauma. Ryan has done phenomenal and is vulnerability as a “macho” man is so needed to be seen nowadays.

I agree as with everything you’ve said, it’s time to focus on the characters as separate entities who will always gravitate back to each other. No matter how bad a fight Eddie and Buck have or will have, they have such a special (platonic) relationship that I adore. solar/jack - I KNOW that a lot of ppl view solar as his dad and jack as his son but just. i love creator x creation its too good to pass up

eclipse/solar flare - same thing as above tho it would probably have a VERY different dynamic. probably more toxic- eclipse would probably use solarflare rather than treat him as an equal. whether he gets better or not is also up to the ppl :]

jack/solar flare - two ai's who know nothing about the world, only built to protect one person, then freed from their chains to explore together? its perfect

solar/eclipse - i feel like they would pretend to hate each other in public but we all know that they make out when the doors r closed/silly

solar/eclipse/sun - is this bc of an au i made where i made their relationships into a polycule? yes. am i gonna enjoy it with any au possible? also yes.

hawthorne brothers after a (verbal) fight with their so head canons

my moot @never-enough-novels requested this a while ago (at this point she might not even remember asking for this), so here it is. hope you like them <3.

jameson:

i mentioned this in my averyjameson fight hcs post, but, whenever they fight, jameson gets scared that avery will realize she deserves better and leave him. bc of this, when they're done fighting, he always cuddles up next to her for comfort. avery just sits there with him telling him that he's stuck with her.

jameson tends to blame himself for most of his fights with avery bc he thinks he's the problem (anti-hero) which makes him hate himself so, after they fight, they always sit down and watch friends or any other tv show to distract him (he's never explicitly said that it makes him hate himself but avery can see it. she started the 'tradition').

he hates fighting so he usually starts planning their next date after one. he's next to her lying in bed watching their tv show typing ideas on his phone. he sometimes asks avery for some input. he'll be there like 'hey, heiress, should our next date be in italy or spain', and avery just tells him that he doesn't have to do so much and they can just have a candlelit rooftop date. jameson then tells her she deserves the world and that he'll do anything for her. avery ends up shedding a few (happy) tears discreetly.

he becomes a touch starved mess. he's either holding avery's hand, begging for hugs and cuddles, or pulling avery into his arms so that he can stroke her hair and kiss her face.

fights tend to make him tired so he usually falls asleep next to avery while they watch their show. avery sees this, closes the tv, pulls him into her arms, and falls asleep too.

grayson:

like jameson, he'll start blaming himself for his fights with his so, but, instead of finding healthy ways to distract himself, he overworks himself the next day to forget about it (i say next day bc he spends the day of the fight (after it of course) with his so)

fights give him anxiety so, to losen up, he takes a bubble bath (and sometimes his so joins him)

he finds this weird, but he always feels the need to change clothes after a fight bc when he looks in the mirror and sees the suit that he wore during the fight, he starts thinking about it and it makes him feel bad. his so usually has another suit out ready for him to put on.

at night, when his so is sleeping, he goes out for a swim to clear his mind. sometimes, one of his brothers (or avery) finds him and tells to get back to bed bc its late. sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't. when he doesn't they just sit there with him/keep an eye on him from further away if he wants to be alone. (this might seem ooc of the brothers/avery but, in my head, in the books, whenever grayson is out for a swim at night, its usually around 10 pm and here its like 3am which is why avery/the brothers intervene)

he has to go to the bathroom and fix his hair bc he tends to run his hands through his hair when he's fighting with his so and it always messes it up, enough to annoy him.

xander: (i honestly see him and max as the type of couple who don't fight)

fights take a lot out of him bc he rarely has them which makes him hungry. he usually goes downstairs to have a scone and ends up bringing one up for max or he gets on of the maids to bring some food up for them.

he goes out the next day and buys items to make max a care package. he buys little bows and glitter to decorate (a rich boy's care package includes things like : 10 new books (or more), 100 bags of her favorite candy that she'll never have the time to finish (he only puts on in the care package and the rest he gets shipped to her), a new necklace with a customized pendant that reminds him of her, and more all wrapped and placed in a designer handbag)

in bed, later that night, he secretly wonders if he's good enough of a boyfriend for max. he doesn't dwell on this for too long bc he's scared of his own emotions, but he does take some time to think about it.

if he does dwell on it (what i mentioned in my last hc), he gets up and goes to his lab. he usually ends up building smth that he knows max wants to please her and to prove to himself that he's good enough (also building distracts him. its a 2 in 1). also, idk how to explain this so here's an example: max and him fought him bc he didn't give max enough kisses in her opinion so he builds a machine that slaps him every hour and yells 'kisses' (they would never fight about this, but this was easy to come up with a gadget for it).

sometimes, when he dwells on it (what i mentioned 2 hcs ago), he ends up taking a walk bc fresh air always clears his mind.

nash:

his first insitnct, after a fight, is to ask libby if she's ok. his feelings don't matter to him if she's not ok. if she's ok, he'll kiss her and think about what he's feeling (if he isn't happy), but if she's sad, he'll pick her up, sit her on his lap, and whisper sweet nothing into her ear.

libby doesn't need to explicitly say this, but nash knows she has abandonment issues and thinks that their fights will someday lead to him leaving her, so sits he goes out and buys her a gift and a card in which he writes that he'll never leave her and that he can't wait to grow old with her.

he's obsessed with her playing with his hair and it always cheers him up. their fights will sometimes sour his mood so he lays his head down on her lap which she knows means he wants her to play with his hair. he'll close his eyes and either relax or fall asleep. libby finds him adorable.

bc fights sour his mood, he usually brings libby out for some horseback riding. he also gets some food ready so that, during their ride, they can sit down somewhere and have a picnic. usually they take these rides close to sunset so that, when they settle down to eat, the sun is setting.

if the fight upset him or made him anxious and he doesn't want to talk about his feelings to libby, he either heads to the bar at night (not to drink but to bartend) or he gets a massage therapist to show up at the house and give him a massage. this usually ends up clearing his mind.

I'd really, really hoped that this blog had been discontinued, that someone had finally coughed up whatever monetary amount you'd asked for, and that you'd found a peace of mind away from these crybabies whining over pixels making out or not making out. But alas you're still here, so let's stir that pot:

There are hundreds of reasons to not like or ship Zutara, but the hypocrisy of some arguments is downright ridiculous.

"Why cant male and female characters just be friends?" - could literally say that about Kataang.

"It's making Katara into a prize!" - it's not, and even if it was, how is that different than her ending up with Aang?

"It's colonizer/colonized!1" - guess you slept through Zuko's entire character arc of working on himself and canonically calling out his father in the DOBS Pt 2 and bringing his tyrannical nation into an era of peace and repentance. But "canon" only counts when it's to insult anyone who doesn't ship the endgame ships, got it. Guess you lot also slept through the entire last half of season 3, too bad the show ended before the Western Air Temple apparently.

On that note, if Zuko's a colonizer and unworthy of overcoming his past and thus can't be in a relationship with Katara, then guess what? By that logic he can't be friends with the Gaang, and he definitely can't be with Sokka, so you're not allowed to ship Zukka either.

While we're at it, if he's such an irredeemable colonizer why are you romanticizing his relationship with Mai? She's a colonizer too by that logic and unlike Zuko, she never has that moment of clarity where she realizes the Fire Nation is evil. In fact, she's still very much pro-Fire Nation during their confrontation at the Boiling Rock. The reason why she turns against Azula is because she doesn't want her ex boyfriend to die, not because she agrees with his cause. So by your logic of Zuko being an irredeemable colonizer, why are you shipping two colonizers together?

The "he's a colonizer" argument is so often used in bad faith by hypocrites who turn around and hype up Zukka and proclaim Mai as unnecessarily hated by the fandom, ignoring that most people dislike her because she's a spoiled, rich brat. She's not evil incarnate, she's just a whiny privileged teenager in designer clothes who jumped at the chance to join Azula in hunting down Iroh & Zuko, not because she was forced.

Hell, if I was her mother and had to deal with her constantly whining about how bored she is when there are literally people suffering / dying, I'd ask her to just be happy for once, too.

Can you do Blackarachnia become a Mom to a sparkling?

Blackarachnia would take a lot of time to warm up to the kid. Also, this can take place before Blackarachnia joins the Maximal. I also imagine that the sparkling would take a lot of time warming up to Silverbolt because the baby thinks he's taking blackarachnia's time and/or love

The Predacon’s had recently acquired something new from their latest patrol.

Something Blackarachnia didn’t know about, something she needed to know about.

She thought that it was some sort of relic or more news about the Golden discs.

She was not expecting a sparkling, with a reptilian alt mode, nonetheless.

Why couldn't they be a spider?

The sparkling looks all around its new surroundings but stops seeing Blackarachnia.

They squeal and transform out of Inferno’s servos and waddles up to the spider and attempt to give her a hug.

“Beat it kid. I don’t do hugs.”--Blackarachnia

Blackarachnia pushes them away only to find them stuck on her servo.

“What in the Allspark!? Get off of me!”--Blackarachnia

Megatron smirks at this interaction.

“Thank you Blackarachnia for volunteering to take care of the newest recruit of the Predacon cause, yes.”--Megatron

“What?!”--Blackarachnia

“Why not? Look how attached they are already. Yes, you’ll do.”--Megatron

Megatron walks away before Blackarachnia can say anything else.

The sparkling happily swinging from her outstretched servo.

Blackarachnia thought this was a terrible idea.

She hates kids!

Yet the little fella was literally stuck to her side.

Curse those digits.

She did learn to live with the smaller shadow following her every move.

It was tolerable…

Despite openly saying she despised having the little one with her, Blackarachnia refused to have most Predacon’s babysit them.

Tarantulas and Megatron are at the top of her ‘Do not leave them alone at all cost’ list.

The sparkling hums in agreement.

Blackarachnia stands up and looks at Waspinator.

“Anything happens to them, there won’t be a CR Chamber that could put you back together. Am I clear?”--Blackarachnia

Waspinator gulps and nods in agreement.

The sparkling waddles up to Waspinator wanting upsies, which Waspinator happily complies.

The spider watches the two go back inside the ship.

Quickstrike walks up to her.

“Aw! C’mon Sugarbot! Why can’t I take care of the kiddo? You know you’ll need a strong and handsome mech to watch over them…”--Quickstrike

“Well Cowboy, in case you forgot, your also on patrol.”--Blackarachnia

“Oh yeah…”--Quickstrike

Blackarachnia had a small habit of doing some things without thinking about the consequences. Not with a lot of things, but some things.

For example, she didn’t think that playfully flirting with Silverbolt would mean anything in the future.

Yet, she had risked her life again and again for him.

Joining the Maximals on the spot was also something she had done on the spot.

Blackarachnia didn’t think much about it until after the battle reality had hit her harder than a missile or blast to the chassis.

Buddy, her sparkling, was still at the base.

She hadn’t told the Maximals this, mainly because her position in their ranks was already rocky as it is.

She didn’t want to know what could happen if she brought Buddy.

Everyone noticed in the next few days how tense Blackarachnia had become.

Like… she was worried about something… or someone…

It took a bit, but Blackarachnia finally relented and told the team about Buddy.

“Woah, woah, woah! You’re saying that you have a sparkling—”--Rattrap

“It’s technically not mine—”--Blackarachnia

“A sparkling in the Preds base.”--Cheetor

“Why didn’t you bring them with you?”--Rhinox

“It was kind of hard with space time was literally falling apart!... By the time I realized that they would be alone at the base we weren’t on the best terms…”--Blackarachnia

Silverbolt taking her servo.

“We’ll get your sparkling my love.”--Silverbolt

“What…?”--Blackarachnia

“You heard me, that sparkling could be in trouble and we could be their only hope! Who’s with me!”--Silverbolt

All the Maximals agree with the statement.

“All right then, we need to—”--Optimus

RING!

RING!

RING!

“That’s the proximity alarm!”--Rhinox

“Everyone to your stations!”--Optimus

Everyone gets to their stations while Rhinox and Optimus go to see who was there.

“Its Waspinator… and he’s holding something…”--Rhinox

Blackarachnia , Silverbolt and Optimus go out to confront Waspinator and…

“Buddy!”--Blackarachnia

The sparkling chirps seeing their Mama and detaches from Waspinator and waddles up to her hugging her pedes.

She kneels down and holds the sparkling close to her, for once, not minding the sticky digits on her frame.

“Wazzpinator take Gecko bot from Megatron. Wazzpinator don’t want to be Predacon.”--Waspinator

“You don’t want to be a Predacon?”--Optimus

“And how are we supposed to believe that?”--Blackarachnia

“Megatron don’t know Wazzpinator here… Megatron wanted Gecko bot to go to Tarantulas… Wazzpinator no trust Tarantulas.”--Waspinator

Blackarachnia tightens her grip on the sparkling a bit hearing her old lab partner’s name.

“… I say let’s give him a chance to prove himself.”--Blackarachnia

Silverbolt and Optimus look at Blackarachnia.

“Are you sure?”--Silverbolt

“Positive.”--Blackarachnia

Silverbolt tries to pet Buddy on the helm.

Buddy gives him a stink eye and hugs Blackarachnia harder.

“Looks like you got some competition Bolt.”--Blackarachnia

Silverbolt laughs at this fully confident he would worm his way into the sparkling’s spark faster than Blackarachnia.

Jokes on him, it takes longer to get the protective sparkling on their good side.

It’s up to Blackarachnia and Waspinator to get the two to bond.

kissing while crying / goodbye kiss / desperation

I keep thinking "I'm so bad at writing angst and anything upsetting, I hate leaving my stories as anything but lighthearted :/" but then I consistently end up writing angst into everything, including fic chapters that are supposed to be comedic and fluffy so uhhhh lets see how I do when deliberately going for emotional devastation :D !

And since I've been thinking about it lately we'll go with a premise of:

A Jason who knows he's come back from death many times but has no guarantee he'll come back from death again volunteering for a suicide mission and Tim knowing this might be his last chance to confess

There's nothing graphic, but this is all hurt no comfort, angsty as fuck sad shit with an ending that leaves it ambiguous as to whether or not this death sticks. Hope y'all enjoy!

Jason states in a flat, calm tone, "It needs to be me."

They all turn to look at him, their bodies backlit by the glow of the reactor's slowly worsening meltdown.

"What the hell are you talking about," Dick asks, while Tim's blood turns to ice in his veins.

"I didn't survive that plane crash into the meteor. I didn't survive that fall into the ocean. I didn't survive the warehouse. I've been killed over and over and come back from it every time, so if one of us has to die tonight it needs to be me."

"A terrible argument," Damian declares resolutely, standing firm despite his trembling, "We have no reason to suspect that those instances were anything other than circumstance. Random chance and dumb luck runs out. What we need is certainty, and... and Father would bring me back again. We all know it. I can take it."

"I did not come back just to throw another kid to their death! Maybe when you're gnarled and grey and about three hundred years too old to live without a lazarus pit we can talk, but until then I am not about to let you die in my stead."

Damian backs down quietly. He looks relieved, and guilty.

"Then let me do it," Tim demands, trying and failing to sound light and fearless, "Everyone else has had a turn with death, seems a little unfair doesn't it? Hogging all the afterlife experiences for yourselves?"

Jason says with quiet vehemence, "If that's how fairness works, then I will be as brutally unfair to you as I can be."

A long silence stretches between them as they stare each other down. Tim fights to keep the lump in his throat from spilling out into tears and Jason struggles between the need to see himself grieved and the yearning to comfort him and make this all easier somehow.

Finally Dick breaks the silence, "What would you like us to do for your funeral this time?"

"I want to be cremated on the bank of the Ganges with proper rites. Mild preference for a Shaivite or Shakta sect, but I'm not really picky."

And that was it. His fate was sealed.

Tim grabs his hand before he can step into the airlock leading to the reactor's emergency maintenance tunnels.

Jason glares at him, "You aren't stoppin-"

"I know!" Tim lowers his voice to a whisper, "I know..."

"Then what...?"

"I'm sorry if this isn't anything you want, but I can't let you go without saying it. I- I love you. I'm in love with you."

He looks stunned, shocked, almost hurt. Then he kisses Tim fiercely, pressing every bit of affection he can into him with the slim moments they have left. Salt stings their dry lips and they cling to each other with vain desperation until their arms ache.

When he finally pulls back Jason roughly scrubs the tears from his eyes, "Fucking cruel of you to give a dying man something to live for."

"Promise me, please, if you can, if you get a choice, if you're at all able to, please promise me you'll come back?"

"No. I love you more than bread and wine, but my death is mine and I utterly refuse to allow your feelings or anyone else's to sway me in this. However..." Jason's voice grows soft, and he lifts Tim's hand to tenderly kiss at his palm and wrist, "If I am brought back? I swear that it will be you I come back to. I swear that I will give you my heart and everything else you ask of me; this will be the only thing I ever deny you."

Tim grips him tight, squeezing his eyes shut, tears and sweat rolling down his cheeks as the reactor burns itself ever hotter. Then he shoves Jason away, into the airlock chamber.

"I hope it's quick," He knows it won't be, "I hope it doesn't hurt," He knows it will, "I hope you get what's best for you," Just as long as it's not the end you want.

"Goodbye Tim. I love you."

"I love you too. So, so much..."

The blast door swings shut between them.

It'll be long post, so i understand if you decide to ignore it, sorry :)

You know, there were a lot of people that were convinced loumand kiss we saw in trailer was goodbye kiss, because of Louis' expression. I was one of them.

Turns out that it's NOT truth and everyone just accepted it and moved to talk how romantic it was and that apparently Louis just has this face when horny or whatever.

And I truly struggled to see it. And at first I felt incredibly guilty because I'm loustat shipper first, other ships appreciator second. I thought my mind doesn't let me see romance in other ship because I'm too loustat centric.

I tried to rewatch that scene and tried to brighten it up to see kiss and expression better (I'm sorry but while almost silhouette kiss is beautiful I'd prefer see character's expressions better in show like this, wish lighting was different)

But still! While during date Louis had more carefree and flirtatious expression, that kiss felt very off. I get that it's after talk about lestat but shouldn't he show more... Joy? Anticipation of more to come? Basically don't look like he does it because he HAS to.

So I thought, well, it CAN'T be jacob slacking, he's terrific at his job. And it can't be that I'm THAT biased, right?

So, let me tell you, I'm SO GLAD to found your post about this kiss! I saw too many people writing about Louis being fucked up to invite Armand to fuck after being threatened, that he loves them dangerous (he kinda does, but that's not the point), that he thinks only with dick, ignores red flags (again he does,but we talk about this particular moment) etc

He knows Armand is interested in him. He knows Armand has power. Armand technically didn't lay his hands on him but he COULD'VE and WOULD'VE if it's not for his affection to Louis.

I truly don't believe Louis viewed this as "I HAVE to kill Louis, you committed a crime, no hard feelings though, that's just my job! You know what?... You're cute so I'll let you go actually"

Maybe I give Louis too much credit but he's smarter than that. He also knows power play intimately, was on giving and receiving end countless times in his human and vampire life.

Add to it that tale Armand told about his old coven killing themselves when he actually threw them in fire. It was 100% to position himself as someone who has way less power over other vampires that he actually does. I don't believe coven can pressure Armand into ANYTHING. And glimpses of him abusing his power over Claudia prove it (CONSENT TO LOOK IN THE EYES? ARE YOU SERIOUS?)

And Louis was THERE to witness all this and I absolutely believe he noticed it. That scene with dreamstat where lestat says he's the only one who Louis can trust made me think Louis is not as blind to Armands red flags as he appears.

And what we know about ep4 confirms it. Lestats "HA!" in museum already indicates that Armand is telling some bullshit and Louis at least subconsciously doesn't believe it. There's also scene in park from teaser "I want you" "You sure about that?" Maybe it's misleading or maybe it goes like this, guess we'll see

I wrote so much, again, i'm sorry.i just wanted to say, I agree so much with your post, and I hope crazy people in fandom already blocked you so you don't get any hate for pointing out that consent under threat of potential death is not really THAT consensual. Hope it won't be repeat about people attacking you like for post about hate sex in ep6

All good. And I wasn't, and I have seen I wasn't the only one clocking in on things (just reblogged a post wrt that).

Jacob is too good an actor to not show the fitting emotion if it was meant to be something positive. But he didn't.

The show went dark, real fast. And they're about to go even darker. A lot.
