I did not write this spell for the purposes of sharing, it was made to assist with dealing with my own heartbreak and used very specific items I foraged on walks near my apartment and my personal correspondences. I did not harm any butterflies or bees to get them! If you plan to use my recipe but can't find the items, I would suggest the following substitutions:

honey or a spider's web instead of the bees nest

dandelions instead of butterfly wings

Been thinking about this soo much. Amerie knew exactly what to say. I wonder if part of that comes from the fact that she has siblings of her own. Either way, it also serves to showcase to both the viewers and Rowan that she genuinely cares—not just going back to save him, but also choosing her words so carefully, making sure he calms down so she can convince him to get up rather than force him out. She extends so much sincerity and empathy. For Rowan, I think we can tell that his top priority was always his brother, making Jett's death all the more devastating. This scene is great.

i don’t know if i’m gonna flip the pronouns but maybe sanji is bisexual? so it’s post break up and sanji is with a new girl. it’s only three weeks but why does sanji look so happy. why does he look so happy, so, so soon. they were together for six years. six years, and three weeks was all it took for sanji to be posting about his new girlfriend, happy and wonderful, and soft and gorgeous in ways zoro isn’t.

is that why he broke up with him? because zoro can’t be soft in the way he needs softness, because zoro can’t love the way sanji needs to be loved? because god knows sanji was loved, zoro aches for him with his mind and soul now, his body unable to maintain the rigid form instilled into him over years of training as a swordsman, the values of maintaining his inner strength wavering, and he cannot breathe.

(he pulled himself up. but he couldn’t breathe)

sanji needs words, and zoro was a man of action. there was never a thing sanji needed or wanted that was not done. and sanji, despite having the same love language when it comes to being a giver, really, really needed words when it was his time to receive. and zoro tried. he did, but sometimes trying isn’t enough, he supposes. if it were, sanji would still be with him.

zoro tries not to keep up with sanji’s social media, he’s doing a good job at no contact (a man with few words ought to be, right? it’s not, zoro aches. he looks at every corner hoping it’s sanji coming to pick him up because he got lost again, he looks at every aisle in the grocery store they frequented, he aches in ways when his friends obviously split their time between sanji and zoro). and he wants to move on, but sanji’s social media is the only way he can keep tabs on him. he just wants to know if he’s okay! and if a stab to the heart whenever he sees her pretty brown locks that fall down her shoulders, well that is the price he must pay for playing games he should no longer be allowed to play.

when he’s staring at the ceiling during lonely nights, angry and malicious and so, so hateful, he thinks viciously that at least she won’t be able to hold him down like zoro is able to. sanji liked it so much when zoro held his precious arms captive above his head, when his lips would trail from his ears to his throat and back to his ears and instruct to keep his hands right there for me baby, don’t move, and sanji would huff and puff but his hands would never move. not even as zoro glides lower and lower, leaving a trail of bruises, purple pink in the pale skin that reddens so easily, even as zoro gets a little mean with his teeth around his nipples, even when zoro holds to that tiny waist, his large hands leaving circle marks when they tighten around his waist. his waist was so small, is still, and zoro thinks vindictively, she won’t give it to him. she won’t worship his body like zoro did.

he wonders, if sanji thinks of zoro when he fucks his new girl. he hopes sanji realises she won’t be able to give what he could’ve, what he would’ve, what he had been giving.

as long as he’s the best he’s ever had, zoro is okay, he thinks. or he will be, but he knows. he knows deep in his heart, that he’s the best he’s ever had. so he will be okay.

when? he doesn’t know. in the meantime he will keep filling the void with bodies, (he wondered if this was what it was for sanji too (he soon realised it wasn’t))

the best sanji’s ever had. zoro’s sure that’s him. he’ll be okay.

[Birds chirp, car doors slam, people rush by Stevie as she wanders through the early morning streets. She can’t stomach delving into the rush hour subway, and maybe the fresh air will do her some good. She walks on, aimless, the rising sun is no cure for the cold blood running through her veins.]

[Stevie pauses, realizing where exactly in the city she had wandered towards. The mouth of the beast, open and inviting, ready to tear her to pieces all over again. She didn’t even know the gig she was supposed to play last night was this close to his—] Stevie, mumbling: Don't be fucking weird.

[But her thoughts are intrusive, unavoidable. Detestable. It's so damn pathetic she can't stand it. She wonders how Jude is doing. Is he sleeping right now? Is he aware of how she feels? Does he still — But why the fuck should he care? For all she knows he's — moved on. The thought makes her feel sick again. She has no right to even be standing here.]

[Stevie gets ten steps away before turning back to stare at Jude's apartment building in utter distaste. She's been good, the meaning of that word muddied down to her own version of it.  Avoiding this place had been so easy, so why now? Why, when she could've just gone home?] Stevie: Shit, I need a drink.

Outragiously long and stupid rant incoming!

I like never make posts on here but I wanted to scream into the void about heartbreak high. Since s1 I've seen like really strange takes and half the time I'm like is it because people don't know how Australian school is different or is it a lack of critical thinking.

Like in s1 I only saw people either hating or loving spider and don't get me wrong either of those is valid but the way people were explaining it was strange to me.

For me I didn't like spider but not because he was some unrepeatable arsehole I actually think he was a great representation of a lot of Australian guys I knew growing up. Like he says dumb shit but then when things are serious he does the right thing like he helped malakai with the cop (then said fucking stupid things after) and he helped amerie at the festival, he wanted to help harper and let her in even though it would mean he and American would have to stop hooking up.

In comparison I swore people liking dusty who in my eyes was way worse than spider. He acted all woke like he said the right things and then did shitty things like shaming harper and deciding to frame jojo.

Like theyrr both shit but I would trust spider with my drink over but maybe not dusty.

Then ant I understand if you like ant and spider together but I think people maybe don't understand how touchy guys are with each other in Australia. Like gay straight bi whatever guy friends hang off each other and I think it's actually healthy to show that. I also saw someone complaining about spider and ant doing gay shit but only as a joke but I never saw that like I don't think any of it was a joke it just wasn't gay. Like spider calling him pet names them cuddling and stuff is just affection which is actually great especially for men who often don't know how to have affection that's not sexual.

Also can we agree that ant just doesn't care about the gender he's hooking up with like I don't think he's bi I think he's just into who he's into (is that pansexual? Sorry).

I was a bit disappointed with all the bisexual characters ending up in straight relationships but that's mostly because I really wanted an ant malakai and I liked Rowan Malaysia before it went to shit. But at the same time I dont like how people critiquing it often feels like Bi erasure. Like I'm a bi woman whos first gay relationship ended because my gf (lesbian) cheated on me with a lesbian because she constantly thought I was cheating on her with my guy friends and for a long time I just dated guys because I didnt know many bi women and lesbian girls kept being horrified that I would go near a dick (not all of them my ex was very understanding and actually encouraged me to embrace my sexualising when I was just a baby bi) but my point is I totally understand how having a straight relationship when bi can actually be more understanding (at least in mine and my friends experiences) and it's totally valid even though the relationship is straight.

Also people angry about not as much quinni (I agree more quinni she and cash are my loves) I'm actually happy they took a back-seat with her on the relationship front like her and Sasha were a big deal/quinnis first relationship and I think it wouldve really messed quinni up with how it ended. I also love that they're not just centring her storyline around being the gay girl you know like she I a multifaceted queen.

Also for the Sasha redemption, I get why people are calling for it but unlike spider and dusty like Sasha didn't really do anything wrong (except for how she treated quinni but they talked at the end of s1 and seem to be moving to a place of good friendahip) shes mostly just annoying and pretentious like the other idiots actually fuvked up. I don't really want a Sasha redemption I just want to see more of her character make her a bit less of a two dimensional hipster, which I honestly think they only didn't fo because they had a lot of characters to juggled Sasha had to take a back-seat so Missy could shine (and I love Missy so I'll allow it also her and malakais friendship means everything to me the indigenous representation that shows not just the aspects of country and family but also shows them as fully formed characters I LOVE)

Sorry for the obscenely long rant this is just all my thoughts from s1 and s2 so ignore it by all means and also if you disagree that's fine and you are probably right lol.

No connection to Power Rangers, any Forgotten Realms stuff, or apparently an old Trek BBS.

To the extent that they were ever in style in the first place, D&D-alikes never went out of style. Shadow Rangers is a game that attempted to simplify D&D 2e in a different way than 3e did, with a much narrower focus.

You play the eponymous Shadow Rangers, a group of monster-hunters and thief-catchers living in the wilds of... some fairly generic fantasy nation, it didn't really stick in my head. You're all "rangers", but there are seven different kinds, each with their own abilities: Tracker, Druid, Whirlwind, Skulk, Trapster, Trickster, and Scout. Some overlap a bit too much, like Tracker and Scout, but it's not too bad.

The standard D&D setup is there: levels, HP, AC, the usual six stats with some renamed. It trims the game down to 10 levels. The first 6 are about levels 1-6 in regular D&D, with levels 7, 8, 9, and 10 having bigger power gaps - they correspond roughly to levels 9, 13, 16, and 20. It stole the Fort/Ref/Will saves from 3e, plus the skill list, upwards AC, and attack bonuses. From 2e they took demihuman level limits, the less expansive spell list, the less comprehensive magic items, some of the weird bonuses for stats (bend bars / lift gates, resurrection survival), weapon speeds, and "thief skills" being outside the usual skill system.

Physically, the setting is very detailed. There are maps of a lot of places - groves, caves, thick woods, streams, hilltops, ruined forts, etc., with each of them including a battle map and a GM's version showing some secrets. There's no regional map - they encourage you to use the smaller pieces wherever you need them. There are very few NPCs mentioned, all antagonist group leaders except for the obligatory king. Art is purely of locations and landscapes, and is fairly amateur but usable.

Shadow Rangers is admirably restrained compared to a lot of D&D clones. Most of them are of the "more, bigger, broader" variety, and this one went the "less, smaller, focused" route. Bonus points to them. It still sank right into the swamp when it came out, but I have to give them credit for reining themselves in.

Shadow Rangers was printed in perfect-bound only (no hardcover) from a relatively low-quality print shop. Used copies are therefore somewhat rare, as they tend to fall apart. Look for three-ring binders instead of full books.
