You knew from the money that your father told you about the little arrangement he had made with Carlos Sainz, the most feared man in all of Spain, that you’d be unhappy as the result of it. You’re whole life you’d grown up lacking the luxury of having a lot of money, but you had a loving family that were worth everything to you, so you was content, but apparently your father didn’t feel the same.
He done something stupid. Something so incredibly stupid and wrong, he borrowed money from Carlos Sainz, money he knew for a fact that he would never be able to able to repay, so when the man showed up at your family’s home, a gun pointed at your fathers head unless he could offer up some kind of repayment, your father offered you up to the man without a moment of hesitation.
Carlos’ men came and hit you the next day, no matter how much you screamed and begged your mother and father to make them not take you, to let you stay at home with your family, they didn’t listen and you was taken away and married off to Carlos at the next available date.
He didn’t love you, he didn’t care for you, he needed you for one thing and one thing only, an heir. One to take over for him when he wouldn’t work anymore, to keep his family name leading the mafia past his lifetime, that’s all.
You didn’t have fun at the wedding, you never had fun, you woke up, had breakfast, wandered around the halls of your home, and went to bed, you hardly ever saw Carlos, it was rare he even came home at night.
You sighed, flopping onto your back as the moonlight shone through the crack in the curtains, yet another night that sleep seemed like something far out of reach, another night where Carlos wasn’t home and he was out doing god knows what.
You could never sleep alone, back at home you shared a room with your younger sister, your whole life you’d never have to stay in a room all alone, it was too quiet and empty.
“Fuck this.” You muttered as you threw the blanket off of your legs and slipped some shoes and a robe on as you walked out of your bedroom, the two guard that were always near you following a few steps behind, another annoying habit of your husband, having guards follow and track your every move.
You went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea, something your other used to do when you was a child and couldn’t sleep, and went to go sit on the back porch of your house, looking out onto the anchors of land that she now partly owned.
You groaned as you heard the door click open from behind you, “Mr.Jackson, I appreciate that you’re just going your job, but it’s a glass door, can’t you just look at me through it instead? It’s bad enough you’re always two feet behind me. No offence.”
“Is that how you talk to all my staff?” You instantly sat up straighter when you heard your husband’s voice instead of the British accent of your assigned bodyguard, you cleared your throat, “Sorry Mr.Sainz, I didn’t know it was you.” You whispered, your eyes still stuck on the land before you.
“No need to be so formal, cariño,” he said as he sat on the seat beside yours, “we are married after all.”
You scoffed and rolled his eyes at his words and muttered a quiet “Barley.” But he still heard you and turned his stare towards you, “and by that you mean?”
You rolled your eyes once again, “I see you four times a month if I’m lucky, Carlos. You’ve never wished me a happy birthday in two years of marriage. You see me as the key to continuing your family name. Nothing more.”
He didn’t know what to say, he was angry, not at you. At himself for letting you ever think the words leaving your mouth were true, “I’m sorry I’ve made you feel this way cariño.”
You shrugged and took a sip of your tea, the warm liquid gliding down your throat, “Don’t be. Our marriage is and always has been a business proposition, nothing more.”
He wanted to say so many things in that moment, how he picked you because from the moment he saw you, your enchanting eyes and sweet as honey laugh, he fell. He could get any woman from anywhere to continue his family’s legacy, but he chose you.
“Trust me, cariño,” he whispered as he moved from his seat and got on his knees in front of you, confusing you greatly as he took the warm mug from your hand and placed it in the ground, “you’re much more than a part of a business deal to me.” He whispered and he placed a gentle kiss to your knuckles, “I’ll do better by you, you’re my wife, my main priority,” he whispered, this side of him was new, so new you was scared to say that you liked it, “tell me what I can do to start making it better.”
You swallowed lightly, having no idea where this Carlos was coming from, “You can actually spend the night with me tonight.” Yous aid in a quite whisper, but he had no protest, he just nodded with a smile as he stood and picked you up, a,ing you help in surprise as your legs wrapped round his waist on instinct.
He carried you to your shared bedroom and placed you down into the bed and he went to change, when he tenured you was asleep against the soft pillows, the tea having worked its magic and your exhaustion catching up to you, he smiled down at your body as he got in bed careful besides your sleeping frame and pulled you into him, he was going to do better. He was going to be better, for you. He was.

Hi hi! Can I request an angsty/fluff piece with Jason? Maybe he hasn't told her that he's Red Hood yet, and they want to tell him that she loves him for the first time, but with his constant disappearances at night they're thinking that he's starting to get tired of them?
Tumblr media
This went a little too long when I decided to stop, so I might need to split this into two parts if needs be 🦦
‘Hey honey,’ you greeted Jason with a peck to the cheek, pulling away smiling brightly. ‘Are you all ready for movie night tonight? I’ve already got a couple films set up and ready to go and I promise none of them will make you cry like last time.’
Jason grimaced. Shit, he knew that something was happening tonight but couldn’t remember what and -like a dumbass- had agreed to going out on a patrol with Dick and Damian later on. ‘Oh, I’m so sorry chipmunk I can’t do movie night tonight. Can we do it next week?’ Jason hated how he was the one who made the smile upon your face disappear as quickly as it came, he hated how he was the reason why the excitement left your eyes, only to be replaced by a look of poorly concealed disappointment.
Jason hated how it seemed as of late that his commitment to being a vigilante had been the leading cause of your unhappiness. While he was out clearing Gotham almost every night, you were left in your shared apartment, left to sleep alone in a bed that was designed for two people and ponder how things could’ve gotten to this stage; wondering whether this was a relationship worth being in after all.
You sighed, trying to be understanding but how could you when this was the third time Jason had bailed on you this week. It didn’t seem fair to keep trying at this point when it seems as though you’re the only one who is actively trying to make time for each other. You had planned to tell Jason you loved him tonight but all that was thrown into the bin, all because he apparently forgot all about it. ‘It’s fine Jason, I’m sure whatever you have going on is inherently more important.’ You said, feeling more hurt than anything as you clenched your jaw to stop yourself from saying something you’ll inevitably regret.
‘I’ll make it up to you-‘
‘Would you like to know how many times you claimed that you’ll make it up to me but never have?’ You asked Jason rhetorically and watched his face further become into one of guilt. ‘Three. Times.’ You told him, holding up three fingers. ‘Once is excusable, but three times Jason. I thought you were over making false promises, much like how I’d trick myself into thinking that you would actually like to spend time with me in our own apartment, but it seems like I was wrong as per usual.’ You scoffed.
Jason tried to reach out for your hand to console you, but you immediately took it away before he could and put a good deal of distance between the two of you to show that you were in need of comfort but not from him. ‘Y/n, I’m sorry-‘
‘Don’t bother. Just make sure to have your keys on you before you leave because I wont stay up for you anymore.’ Was all you said before leaving the room to go into your room, where you’d stay until he left for the night doing god knows what. His disappearing act didn’t bother you at first but when it become more frequent and grew more obstructive when you wanted to spend the night with him, a pit in your stomach grew and it had been growing ever since followed by thoughts that doubted Jason’s loyalty to you.
Were you boring him but he didn’t have the heart to tell you? Is that why he’s been disappearing almost every night or so? Just so he could meet up with someone else behind your back and shit talk you? If that was the case then he could stay out for all you cared, you’ve given him your heart but it didn’t seem as though he couldn’t bring himself to even fake in giving a shit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile Jason felt like the biggest dickhead ever. He could tell that you were reaching the end of your rope with him and he wasn’t so sure that he could go back to living by himself if you were to ever leave him, he could try but it wouldn’t be the same when you were the reason his apartment felt like an apartment at all. And yet he has no one else to blame for this but himself.
He was the reason you could’ve have a simple date night at home.
He was the reason for your frequent disappointment.
He was the reason you no longer felt loved by him but that just wasn’t true. Jason loved you so much it physically hurt and scared the poor man of what he was willing to do for you. Jason’s love for you burned him in the most delicious way imaginable, he was left wanting for more, hooked on your love as though it was an easily addictive drug sweeping the streets of Gotham. However even Jason couldn’t ignore the wedge between him and you, a wedge that only seemed to get worse the more Jason bailed on you for his vigilante business.
As he was sulking in the fact that this might be the end of your relationship, Jason got a text from Dick asking where he was and all Jason could think of whilst grabbing his keys and leaving the apartment, was how he was going to make up for every night that you felt as though you were abandoned by him; and if anyone who knew Jason best knew he was anything but a quitter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Movie night was depressing as shit when you were having it all by yourself as a way to cope with the fact that you might not be enough to keep Jason interested.
You were bundled up in bed, hugging your childhood plushie tightly against your chest as you watched a movie adaptation to one of Jason’s most favoured book out of Jane Austen‘s body of work. Hell most of the movies you’ve picked out were based on Jason’s favourite author but you weren’t enjoying it as you would if he was beside you, muttering the lines alongside the characters under his breath as he held you against his chest as though you were something precious; even going so far at to using the excuse that when a kissing scene happens you should be kissing too for a more immersive experience.
He was such a dork but he was your dork and now it feels as though he didn’t want to be called yours anymore.
You didn’t know what it was that you did for him to get bored of you but it hurt like a motherfucker and the more you thought about it the more your eyes began to well up with unshed tears. ‘What am I doing wrong snuffles?’ You brought your plushie to face you with its beady button eyes. ‘Am I really that much of a bore that he can’t bring himself to just end it? What does he get out of dragging me along? Is this some sick joke to him?’ You asked and you asked but got no response, then again that’s what you get when trying to seek answers from a weighted plushie.
‘Who am I kidding.’ You uttered defeatedly as you put down your plushie, switched off the tv after seeing that there was no point in having it on in the first place, and stared up at the ceiling as you tried to will sleep to hurry up and claim you. ‘Did you know that I was planning on telling him that I loved him?’ You asked aloud for no one in particular, smiling weakly as you wiped your eyes. ‘How stupid was it of me to think that we’d ever last. He’s obviously found someone else who doesn’t bore him as easily as I do…so why should I stay?’ You felt yourself wanting to cry again but you were too tired to give your body what it wants and tried to ignore the lump in your throat by forcing your eyes shut.

You had never been to a circus before, but as much as you’d heard, you were quite certain it was similar to being introduced to the high society of London.
Extravagant clothes, announcements and performing tricks with a dash of danger.
If endless chatter and gossip and constant criticism fell under the category of danger, at least.
“Oh how I’m glad it’s over,” you murmured as the carriage slowed down, then came to a stop in front of your house. “It’s almost a blessing one only debuts once if you ask me.”
“My dearest, come on now,” your aunt said with a small smile. “It wasn’t that bad, was it?”
“Not for me, no,” you admitted. “If anything it was dull, but I saw multiple ladies with tears in their eyes.”
The door of the carriage opened and you stepped out of it, then looked behind you to see the coachman helping your aunt out of the carriage as well. She linked her arm with yours before you both started walking towards the house down the stone road.
“Tears in their eyes?” she repeated. “Surely not. Who?”
“One of the Featherington sisters.”
“The one who tripped and fell in front of the queen?” she asked. “You could hardly blame her.”
“And um…what’s the name of the girl with those huge earrings?”
“Miss Grant?”
You snapped your fingers, “Yes, her,” you said as you slowly climbed up the stairs with her and entered the house. “You’d think being named the diamond is a matter of life or death, with the way people are acting.”
“I’m glad you brought it up actually,” she said as she gave her coat to the maid by the door. “Because I’ve heard—”
“Oh the glorious warriors are back from the battlefield it seems!” your uncle’s voice boomed through the hallway and you couldn’t help but smile slightly at his theatrics. Your aunt shook her head fondly, and looked up at the mezzanine where your uncle was leaning to the stair rails. He gave you a big smile and you and your aunt went up the marble stairs to reach him.
“My Clover,” he hugged you. “Was it terrible?”
You heaved a dramatic sigh. “More than you could imagine, uncle.”
He hummed, that playful glimmer shining in his eyes. “Was there blood?”
Your aunt gasped. “Howard!”
“What? I know how vicious ladies can be when they want to have more suitors than others dear,” he kissed your aunt’s cheek and she patted his arm.
“There wasn’t any blood but some tears,” you pointed out. “Much to my disappointment. I’d love to see people claw each other’s eyes out.”
“Oh you two…” your aunt said and entered the drawing room with you two following her. You took out the multiple feathers from your hair and tossed them on the coffee table.
“Where’s Teddy?”
“With his tutor,” your uncle said. “So? Am I in the presence of the diamond of the season?”
You scoffed. “Thankfully no.”
“That’s what I was saying though!” your aunt said. “I’ve heard some ladies say they were convinced you would be the diamond when they saw you. And her majesty took her time inspecting you, did she not? Y/N, if only you smiled a little in the ballroom …”
You made a face and shook your head.
“No no,” you said. “It wouldn’t have changed anything, Daphne Bridgerton being the diamond makes sense. She’s more beautiful and talented and educated and all that, she was basically born and raised to be the diamond. I learned how to play the piano about two years ago, and the only time I would do it willingly is if I ever wanted to torment somebody. Besides, I’m not—” you paused for a moment, then cleared your throat.
“I’m really not interested in being the diamond,” you managed to say. “More trouble than it’s worth.”
They exchanged glances and your uncle nodded.
“We’re happy if you’re happy, Clover.”
You offered him a tiny smile and stood up.
“Well I’ll change and go to the garden,” you said. “Send for me if you need anything?”
“Will do!”
You made your way upstairs to quickly change your gown and went downstairs again. Grabbing your gardening apron and tools from the small closet by the door, you stepped out of the house and made your way to the flower gardens. You put on the apron and put down the basket, then got on your knees to inspect a rose, frowning slightly before grabbing the pruning shears and getting to work.
You had always loved tending to gardens. Ever since you were a child, it had given you more joy than anything else, planting flowers and watching them grow, it was in fact the only happy memory you had of your childhood. Perhaps it was because it gave you an excuse to stay out of the house, but whatever the reason was, you had always stayed outside, spending hours in the tiny garden you could call your own back home.
More often than not, your older sister would join you. It wasn’t as if she was interested in gardening, at least not like you were, but perhaps she too sought for some peace and quiet, and it was impossible to find it in the house where your parents were. Almost every moment consisted of a fight, things thrown around, and sooner or later either you or her would get involved in it, and be subjected to the fury of your mother or your father, whoever was the closest.
So, staying outside was safer.
In a way, you and your sister had both found a way to stay safe later on in life. She had eloped three years ago with your help, and only a couple of months later your aunt and uncle had visited your parents’ house and had a long talk with your father about letting you and your little brother Teddy stay with them. They had no kids, and since it would mean that your mother and father would have two less mouths to feed, they had agreed quite fast.
Especially when your uncle had mentioned money.
You were quite certain you would always be in your uncle and aunt’s debt. Even though both of them claimed otherwise, it would have made more sense for them to take Teddy, since he was a boy and could be their heir and easily leave you behind in that hell, but they had done no such a thing and made sure to treat you and Teddy like their own.
They were the only parents Teddy could remember.
And you?
As far as you were concerned, your birth parents were dead.
“Y/N!” A gleeful scream made you turn your head and you dropped the shears before Teddy threw himself at you, wrapping his arms around your neck, and thankfully you’d had enough practice at catching him mid-air in the last couple of years so even though your whole body tilted back for a moment, you quickly regained your balance.
“Hello there!” you said, a big smile warming your face as you hugged him back. “What did we talk about sudden movements and sharp objects little man?”
He pulled back, giving you a huge grin.
“Did you trip in front of the Queen?”
You let out a small laugh. “Who told you that? Uncle?”
“He said someone always trips,” he said, excitement laced in his tone. “Did you?”
You shook your head and dropped your voice as if giving him a secret.
“Not me but someone tripped and fell down.”
He gasped. “Really?”
“Mm hm.”
“Then what happened?” he asked. “Is she in prison now?”
You bit back a smile. “No Teddy, no one goes to prison for that.”
“Even if it happened in front of the Queen?”
“Even then,” you said and wrapped your arms around him as he sat down to look at the flowers better.
“How was your day?”
“Boring,” he pouted. “Mr. Langdon says I must study harder.”
You hummed. “You know the rules,” you told him. “You want to be the smartest boy in Eton, do you not? When it’s time for you to go there—”
“I don’t want to go to Eton,” he cut you off and you pulled back to look at him better.
“Why not?”
“I’d miss you,” he mumbled, reaching you to touch the flowers and you felt your heart drop to your stomach at the idea of him going away all on his own. You heaved a sigh and opened your mouth to disagree, but then a tiny four leaf clover caught your sight, making you tilt your head.
This was also one of the reasons why your sister used to call you her lucky clover. Somehow, you managed to find those more than any other gardener.
You reached out to rip it, then held it up for Teddy to see, making him gasp.
“It has four leaves!”
“It does,” you said and put the tiny clover into the pocket on the lapel of his jacket. “See? It’ll bring you luck, in here or in Eton.”
He grinned at you and looked down at the clover.
“And,” you said, making him lift his head. “I’ll always be here for you, no matter where you are. Nothing could ever change that, alright?”
He paused for a moment and nodded fervently.
“Wonderful,” you said and reached inside the basket to pull out another pair of gloves. “Now, what do you say you help me with this?”
                                             *
Of course everything that had happened in the Queen’s presence had found its way to Whistledown’s gossip columns, and the whole ton was buzzing with the expectation of the balls and social gatherings to come. You would be lying if you said you shared the sentiment, you’d much rather stay at home and deal with your garden, but this was the issue with having debuted, considering how your uncle and aunt were prominent members of the ton, you now had to join any and every social outing within the season, formal or not so formal.
Hence where you were now.
Lady Bridgerton had invited some of the new debutantes and their families for tea, probably to celebrate Daphne’s new status but to socialize as well.
In your opinion, this was nothing but an attempt to make horses become familiar with each other before putting them on the race tracks but your aunt was very excited about it, so of course you said you would go but now that you were here, you couldn’t wait to go back home. The Bridgerton house was beautiful, and Lady Bridgerton was quite nice but the rest of the guests?
Dear God, this was almost as much of a torment as listening to your own tune on the piano.
You made your way to the huge table to grab a glass of lemonade, ignoring the whispers coming from the circle of ladies on the other side of table but when one of them giggled, you turned your head to look at them. The girl stopped whispering with her friends and shot you a slight grin.
“So which one of them are you here for?”
You furrowed your brows and looked down at the lemonade in your hand.
“There are different types?”
“No, silly!” she said. “Which of the Bridgerton brothers are you here for?”
Your frown deepened. “What?”
“Oh none of them of course!” the other girl said. “Irene, stop getting her hopes up.”
You tilted your head. “I’m sorry?”
“I’m Kitty,” the girl introduced herself. “You’ve probably heard about me. Anyway, don’t get me wrong of course but I’ve heard some things about you, that you grew up quite poor until your uncle took you and your brother in so it’s better not to get your hopes up.”
You arched a brow, keeping your gaze on her.
“They say the Viscount won’t get married so if you’re hoping to get him, I’d forget about that plan right now.”
The Vis—
Ah.
Right, you had seen him talking to Daphne when you were leaving the court and quite frankly, you weren’t impressed.
Not that you thought you could be impressed by anyone’s looks.
“Not to worry, you can have him,” you said. “I’m not interested.”
Kitty and Irene exchanged glances and Kitty let out a scoff.
“Oh you’re after Benedict Bridgerton?” she asked. “The second son? That’s hopeless as well. Don’t even make any plans for it, the competition is too high and some say his attention has already been claimed.”
“Devastating,” you said with a completely straight face but it seemed to have gone over her head.
“And if you want to get Colin—”
“Are you planning on listing their whole family tree?” you cut her off. “Did you memorize it in your free time?”
Her jaw dropped and you shrugged your shoulders.
“I’m not jesting by the way, everyone needs a past time activity, yours just happens to be a strange one.”
A small chuckle reached your ears and you turned your glances to the two other girls standing close to you, one with red hair and one brunette.
“Eloise,” Kitty said. “And Penelope. How are you on this fine day?”
The brunette grinned.
“I’ve been better,” she said. “So have you, I suppose.”
Kitty gritted her teeth and Irene turned to you.
“Is it true you’re unable to smile?” she asked and you frowned.
“What?”
“Everyone says so,” she said. “That you have an illness of the sort. You can’t smile even if you want to.”
You stared at her for a moment, then took a deep breath and nodded.
“Yes,” you said. “It’s true.”
She pulled back slightly. “Really?”
“I don’t like to talk about it,” you said. “It was so unexpected. The tragedy struck when I was six years old, the doctors haven’t been able to find a cure or a cause since then. I don’t even remember how it feels to be able to smile to be honest with you.”
Her mouth opened agape in shock.
“And the worst part is,” you said. “The doctors fear it might be contagious.”
Irene gasped and grabbed Kitty’s arm, then pulled her to walk away from you to the other side of the room. You rolled your eyes and one of the girls let out a small chuckle.
“That was good,” she commented and the redhead repressed a laugh.
“She will tell everyone you were not nice to her though, just so you know.”
“I’m not interested in being nice,” you muttered and the brunette smiled.
“I respect that,” she said. “I’m Eloise Bridgerton and this is Penelope Featherington.”
“Lovely to meet you,” you said after introducing yourself and out of the corner of your eye you saw Daphne approaching the table.
“Hello,” she smiled at you brightly before turning to Eloise. “Eloise, where is Benedict?”
“With Lottie I’m guessing. They both disappeared.”
“How shocking,” Daphne said. “Mama wants to see you.”
Eloise heaved a sigh and nodded at you, then she and Penelope walked away. Daphne turned to you.
“Welcome to our home.”
“Thank you for inviting me,” you said. “And congratulations by the way, for being the diamond of the season.”
“Thank you!” she said, that bright smile lighting up her face again. “Some people say the Queen also considered you, I hope you do not resent me.”
You waved a hand in the air.
“Ah no I could never be the diamond, there’s nothing to resent,” you said. “Besides that’s just a rumor. The Queen was probably thinking about something else, I just happened to be there. You deserve that title much more than me.”
“I’m sure that’s not true.”
“Oh it is,” you said. “I assure you.”
She tilted her head.
“We’re all going to take turns to play tunes on the piano in a moment,” she said. “Would you like to play as well?”
“Depends,” you deadpanned. “Do you want to make sure everyone leaves in a hurry? Because that’s my musical talent.”
Daphne stared at you, then covered her mouth to hide her laugh.
“It is a talent nonetheless.”
“One that would prove to be useful against unwanted guests if you have any in here.”
“You have no idea,” she whispered but before she could say anything else, you both heard her name being called. She heaved a sigh.
“I must go,” she said. “But thank you for the conversation.”
“Anytime,” you said and watched her leave, then downed your lemonade. You had to leave before somehow your aunt came up with the bright idea of you sitting in front of that piano, and in your humble opinion this was enough socializing to last you for a day. You made your way to your aunt and touched her arm.
“I’m going back home auntie.”
“Oh?” she asked. “Already?”
“I drank too much lemonade I think, my stomach feels strange.”
“Oh I can—”
“You don’t have to come with me, Paula can chaperone me back home,” you cut her off. “She was with the other maids in the garden the last I saw her.”
“Are you sure?”
“Absolutely,” you said, “I will see you home?”
“Yes my dear,” she said and you kissed her cheek, then thanked Lady Bridgerton on your way out of the drawing room and stepped out to the hallway. You let out a relieved breath and stretched out, all your muscles sore from you being so tense since the moment you had arrived. You rubbed at your eyes, wondering whether your maid was still in the garden but before you could lower your hands a door opened and you crashed into a hard body with a gasp and the person grabbed you by the arm, making your head snapped up.
The man in front of you was tall, much taller than you. His waistcoat fit him perfectly, and you had a chance to glimpse at his muscular arms as he pulled you upright to help you regain your balance allowing you to see his face better. He was very handsome, there was no denying that, with bright blue eyes and black hair, along with a faint smile adorning his lips—
Alright.
Perhaps you could be impressed by someone’s looks then.
You paused only for a moment before you snapped out of your haze and your anger at yourself burned through you for even letting such a nonsense thought catch you off guard. He stared at you, his mouth slightly agape as if he was in the same haze as you were but you narrowed your eyes, glaring at him.
“Watch your step,” you nearly growled and a look of confusion crossed his handsome face, making him blink in silence a couple of times.
“…It’s—it’s my house?” he said slowly as if trying to see whether you were jesting. “I live here.”
You shrugged your shoulders, still glaring at him and he took a deep breath as if deciding to clear out any misunderstanding.
“I’m Benedict Bridgerton.”
Ah.
Well, that made sense. No wonder the competition was high—
From an objective stance, that was.
“Congratulations,” you deadpanned and a small giggle reached your ears, making Benedict turn to glare at the closed door behind him.
And that was probably the girl who had ‘claimed his attention’ as they put it. Not that you would be troubling yourself with it.
“Um— what about you?” he asked as he turned to you again. “What’s your name?”
You raised your brows. “Why?”
“To repeat, because you are in my house.”
“So are a lot of other ladies,” you said and pointed back with your thumb. “They are waiting for you in the drawing room.”
He grimaced as if the mere thought caused him pain. “Are they really?”
“My heartfelt sorrows for the hardships waiting for you, may you find a solace of some sort.”
“You don’t sound to be in sorrow.”
“This is how I sound in sorrow,” you pointed out drily and he seemed almost amused as he tilted his head.
“Will you really refuse to tell me your name?”
“That’s not important information,” you said and walked past him, the faint scent of his cologne mixing into your breath and you bit down on your lip, then started making your way downstairs.
“Why not?” he called out and you scoffed.
“I doubt we will ever talk to each other again Mr. Bridgerton,” you called back, your heels echoing on the marble of the foyer before you walked out of the house, not even looking back.

Interesting to have you thoughts on WHY we love the pain and angst in the Unknown series? and we are not getting the ick instead?
I’m trying to explain it to people without just saying “because they do it so well” you know?
Anon, I can't tell you why YOU like Unknown or why anyone else likes it, but I can tell you why I like it since therapy has shown me the beauty of introspection.
I'm a kinky queer who trusts Taiwan.
Tumblr media
And just like kink, this show isn't ONLY about the pain and the angst.
Tumblr media
Note that I'm not writing about this in a sexual way nor am I writing that this show is kinky. No. I'm writing that I like it because it resonates with me, a queer kinkster.
And by "ick," I think you mean the brothers-not-brothers plot since that ties into the pain and angst aspect.
Tumblr media
Not to get too psychological or philosophical, but the pain of the show gives me pleasure. Especially because I know the pain won't last. There is an end point; therefore, there is a release. And once the show is over, I won't be left with this horrible scar of unhappiness but I might be left with some bruises that remind me the pain was worth it for the happy ending.
Tumblr media
Also, much like being queer and kinky, this plot is a taboo subject.
And I like that!
The show is treating the subject with respect. The show has established that Yuan and Qian ARE brothers. They call each other "brother," they have their little sister, and the world sees them as brothers.
Tumblr media
Yet they aren't blood-related, which is a point that San Pang mentioned when he told Lili not to get too close to Yuan, and people were upset that he said it, but it is the same argument people use to excuse Yuan's feelings for his brother.
Tumblr media
And just like kink, the show makes me think about that grey area of life between consenting adults because nothing is ever black and white. Yuan asked San Pang what was wrong with him loving Qian, and we will see the fallout from San Pang dating Lili when he has openly considered Qian family. People have questioned what is different between the two relationships, and the show will question it as well.
Tumblr media
This show is asking the audience to reflect, so I feel safe with this show punishing me with so much pain which is a big aspect of kink. I wouldn't tolerate pain from a show I don't feel safe with (Game of Thrones, I'm looking at your ass!). I trust the show to deal with this taboo subject with respect because Taiwanese BLs have consistently dealt with this subject with respect. As much as people hated HIStory 4: Close to You, it didn't shy away from the brothers plot or the sexual assault. Both were treated seriously within the show.
Tumblr media
And it did the same with Kiseki: Dear to Me.
Tumblr media
And the other Taiwanese BLs it's been used in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I've never had the ick factor that others have regarding this particular subject or been bothered by the level of pain it brings, but perhaps Addicted toughened me up because the way China dishes out sad "bromances" due to censorship, I suspect there is a connection there between the "brothers" to lovers plot that transfers into Taiwanese dramas.
Tumblr media
Because if you have to hide love behind a wall of being "bros," it makes sense that it would 1) be painful, and 2) be queer-coded since a happy ending wouldn't be realistic.
Tumblr media
And yet Taiwan continues to deliver a happy ending with this type of plot.
Tumblr media
So yeah, I like the pleasure that will come with all this pain. I like that it leans into historical and cultural queer coding while being explicitly queer. And I like that it's Taiwanese handling it.
That's why I like it.
But, once again, I have no idea why others do.

She's in the Rain
Tumblr media
pairing; choi seungcheol (scoups) x reader (no body parts mentioned just title of the song)
genre; angst
warnings; argument, alludes to unhappy relationship, crying, alludes to depression, mild comfort at the end
w/c; 1.2k and some change
requested; no
she's in the rain - the rose
a/n; this is one of my favorite songs by The Rose and I keep thinking about writing a bunch of fics based on angsty songs. so this if the first one
Tumblr media
Seungcheol sighs softly as he watches you stare out the window. The droplets of water from the rain traveled down the glass like tears. He knew you were upset, that was a constant state for the two of you recently. When the relationship had been new, there was the honeymoon phase. Neither one of you could do anything wrong. You both fell so fast, you made decisions without much thought and now the two of you could barely spend an afternoon in the same room without an argument over something ridiculous.
He loved you. There was no question about that. You were his entire heart but there was only so far that love could carry a person and sometimes Seungcheol had to wonder if his love for you was causing more pain for the both of you. It was times like this, one snide comment from either of you would cause the apartment to go cold and silent for extended periods of time. Was love worth the loneliness?
“Are you going to stare at the window all evening? Or are we going to discuss what you said?”
Seungcheol knew it was bold to speak up but he was tired of the quiet. He was tired of chasing memories of you and calling out to someone that he no longer knew. If there was a way to fix this, was it not worth it to try to talk about it?
Tears rise in your eyes almost instantly after hearing Seungcheol’s voice. You couldn’t help but think to yourself that it would be so much easier if he could just understand when you needed more space. Clearly, this was a moment when you needed more space.
Lifting your hand you wipe away the first tear before it is able to slip over your cheek causing Seungcheol to sigh but to you, it sounds more like a scoff. The pain at hearing that exhales from his lips makes your chest tighten because you do love him so much but there are times when you can’t stand to be around him anymore. He wasn’t a bad man, he was the opposite but there was the Seungcheol you had started dating and the Seungcheol you dated now.
“If I’m bothering you that much Seungcheol, I can leave. I’d hate to spoil your precious evening.”
You were up and off the couch before Seungcheol could react or say much of anything. He knew that you were like a bomb with a short fuse but he didn’t know how to handle you anymore. Watching his mouth opening once and closing as you push your feet into your shoes, Seungcheol groans trying to catch you before you walk out the door but he isn’t quick enough. You hadn’t grabbed a jacket or an umbrella, obviously, you weren’t concerned with the weather outside.
“Y/N! What the hell are you doing? Wait!”
You barely hear Seungcheol's words as you jog down the steps toward the door. With every thud of your shoes against the wooden floor, you feel the weight of the apartment being lifted from you. When your skin is met with the cold drizzle in the open air outside you finally take in a deep breath letting yourself feel the pain. Tears roll down your cheeks to your neck, your hand resting on your stomach as you choke back a sob only to hear Seungcheol’s voice behind you.
“Baby, what the fuck are you doing? It’s raining, you are going to get sick. I just wanted to talk about the argument. We have to talk about what is happening between us, Y/N because if we don’t…”
Seungcheol’s voice trembles making it impossible to look at him because you know that his composure is breaking. Feeling his hand on your shoulder, you pull away making him cling to you a sad sound falling from his lips when he moves in closer behind you.
“Did you hear me? I feel like…when I look at you sometimes it’s like I get an empty look back. Baby, do I make you that miserable?”
Of course, you could hear him, you could hear the hurt in his voice but it wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair that he got to talk about the emptiness in your eyes and yet what happened earlier seemed completely unreasonable.
“Doesn’t work Cheol. We don’t…we don’t work.”
He could hear you struggling to get the words out between your choked sobs. The sound of it was breaking his heart and your words were like a knife into an open wound. Moving around you, Seungcheol leans down only to watch you turn your head from him causing him to sniff back his own tears though the rain was picking up causing droplets of water to run down the sides of his face.
“I…Y/N. I don’t know how to fix it. God, I want to fix it. I try to fix it all the fucking time but I think I make it worse. Baby, no…fuck don’t…”
You made the mistake of meeting Seungcheol’s eyes, you could see the red lining the whites of his eyes where he was trying to keep back his own tears only causing you to cry harder. Your shoulders shook in his hands as the tears fell more freely down your cheeks only to be washed away by the rain that seemed to mimic your level of pain.
He hadn’t wanted to make it worse. He had wanted to help calm you down but now he only knew you were crying because of how you were shaking. The rain was soaking up your tears almost like a cruel joke as if to hide them from him, to make him feel like this was less serious than it was, but his heart could feel the pain.
“We are so bad to hide how much we are hurting and then just explode at one another. I think I’m just scared, baby. I don’t…fuck…” Seungcheol’s voice raises an octave as he tries to speak, his head tilting up towards the sky only causing the rain to wash away his tears and soak his blonde hair further before he looks back at you. “I’m afraid of seeing the end of this.”
Shaking your head, you feel a wave of fresh pain washes over you like a flood. That overwhelming feeling of loneliness hit you even though Seungcheol was holding you close to him.
“But, it’s already at the end Cheol. You don–don’t have to be afraid. It’s okay…”
It was Seungcheol who relies on you this time when he hears your words. He knew you were right but hearing it was a different story altogether. Lifting your hand you rest it against his cheek not knowing if the moisture under your palm was his tears or the rain. Your thumb lightly strokes his cheekbone before you nod and he nods in return in understanding.
Seungcheol watches as your hand drops from his face. His feet unable to move to follow you back into the apartment knowing you were probably going to pack your things. He felt lost in that moment, just the image of your tears in the rain at the forefront of his mind. Seungcheol knew you’d remain in his memories and heart forever.

Can I maybe get a platonic thing where reader is dating one of Chilchucks daughters (probably flertom) but is also an adventurer themselves and join the party hoping to get their girlfriends dad to like them?
`✦ ˑ ִֶ 𓂃⊹ hi anon!!! ofc you can! <33 i hope this turned out okay, i wrote it in between clients at work, LOL. it’s short but sweet, and i had fun imagining chil being protective!
Tumblr media
— CHILCHUCK (& FLERTOM): platonic!chil x gn!reader hcs.
꒰ warnings: ꒱ none! sfw + chil being protective dad, lol.
꒰ wc: ꒱ 627
✦ going insane bc tumblr deleted it right as i was about to post it. sobs. but i hope you enjoy it!! (;;w;;)
Tumblr media
✦ When you first joined the party, it was under the guise that you just needed a group to help you get to the lower levels. Laios being who he is, was more than happy to get your help with the rest of the members.
✦ You had an ulterior motive, one you wouldn’t be revealing so soon: the goal to get your girlfriend’s dad to approve of you. Flertom had told you before that it was totally fine, and that you shouldn’t worry yourself too much over it. She loved you, and that’s all that should matter. Yet, you found yourself unhappy to know that not only did he not know of your existence in her life, but that he hadn’t given you his blessing.
✦ Making sure not to let too much slip, you did your absolute best to get the man to like you. Whether it be staying out of his way while he worked or by showing your own worth, you worked extremely hard to get on his good side.
✦ Occasionally you’d talk about your girlfriend, mainly how much you adored her and that she made you really content. Chilchuck would hum, mulling over everything you said. It never occurred to him that you’d be talking about his daughter of all people, but he’d give you advice once in a while about certain things.
✦ Chilchuck thought you were a good asset. You stayed in your own lane yet brought about your own skills, something he valued. Your interest in his work made him a little happy as well, and it was nice to have someone around his daughters’ age in the party. It made him miss his own kids a lot.
✦ It had been a good while of you being in the party, and you felt it was finally time to show your true motive. You waited until Chilchuck was relaxed, enjoying a drink as everyone made camp.
“You know, there’s something I haven’t told you about myself,” you began, a tinge of nervousness in your voice. You had worked so hard to build up the reputation you had with him, and didn’t want to tear it all down in one sitting.
Chilchuck raised an eyebrow at you, taking a sip of his drink. His silence was a push to keep talking.
“I’m… My girlfriend is Flertom.” The words weren’t rushed, in fact they left you in an exhale of relief that they finally were spoken. Meanwhile, you felt the fear return to your chest when Chilchuck choked on his drink.
After his coughing fit, the half-foot banged on his chest, turning to look at you incredulously. “My daughter is your girlfriend? This whole time, it’s been her?!”
✦ After that talk, he didn’t speak to you for a little while. It was discouraging, but you tried your best to give him the space he needed. When you seemed down more than usual one day, he turned his attention to you and sighed.
✦ “You know, I’ve been thinking… I guess if you’re the one with her, it’s not too bad… You’re an okay kid.” You immediately perked up at his words, before he stuck out an accusatory finger at you.
✦ “But! If you hurt her, or break her heart, or anything like that, you’re gonna have to go through me. Got it?” His voice came out in a tone that had you glued to the floor, but you nodded as quickly as you could. You’ll definitely keep that in mind.
✦ Chilchuck thought back to the letter he had received, with how happy Fler had seemed with you. Well… He guesses that if it stays the way it is now… He’d be fine with it.
✦ For now.

JUPITER — send me a character + a scenario or prompt and I’ll write a blurb!
thinking about telling steve how loved and how special he is. you know that man doesn’t believe he’s worth it BUT HE IS. i’m so soft, this man deserves everything
I agree! this was such a good request!! it’s not my best work tbh but I tried, hope u like it ღ
summary: steve needs some reassurance after a bad day. fluff, established relationship, a little bit of hurt/comfort
gn!reader 900 words
Steve didn’t waste any time in finding you. He didn’t even bother to take off his shoes, just tossed his keys in the general direction of the kitchen counter and went marching into the living room.
There you were, sitting pretty on the couch, totally immersed in your show. You looked up when he entered.
“Steve! You’re back, I missed— oof.” You were cut off when Steve let himself fall on top of you, careful not to hurt you but his weight was enough to steal your breath for a second, anyway. His chest squished yours and his head buried itself in your neck. He breathed in your scent and then sighed into your skin, feeling content for probably the first time that day.
“Steve,” you breathed. He could hear the smile in your voice and would’ve looked to see it if he wasn’t so tired. Your hands rubbed up his shoulderblades. “Baby. Hi. Are you okay?”
Baby, Steve thought. He muttered something unintelligible into your neck. You giggled.
“Can’t hear you, Stevie,” you said sweetly.
Steve didn’t say anything. He’d rather just stay here, not saying anything, for the rest of his life. He kicked his shoes off without sitting up. Your hands moved to his hair and you buried your fingers in the soft dark locks. Steve almost whimpered.
A stretch of silence. Only Steve’s breathing and your breathing and the soft hum of the television. You carded your fingers through Steve’s hair carefully, one hand resting at the back of his neck.
“Bad day?” You asked quietly.
Steve wasn’t surprised you’d guessed right, but he pretended anyway. “How’d you know?” He mumbled, his mouth skipping over your skin.
You averted his question without your own. “Do you want to talk about it?” You asked, light but concerned.
“Not really.”
“Okay.” A beat of silence, and then, “Love you,” you said softly, so quiet he wouldn’t have heard, had he been any further away from you. Luckily he was so close he could hear your every breath. His heart skyrocketed, lodged itself in his throat so he couldn’t speak.
Another stretch of silence in which Steve found himself breathing in your scent like it was a drug. Your familiar shampoo, the fabric softener you used on your clothes, and hints of him. The thought of you walking around smelling like him made his heart skip.
“Dustin and Lucas were here, not long ago,” you said conversationally. Steve felt a surge of gratitude and fondness for you, filling the silence like this. “They were looking for you. They want you to go see Aliens with them at the cinemas tomorrow.”
Steve grunted. “I thought Eddie was going with them.”
“Well, yeah, he is. But they want you to go, as well.”
Steve fell silent. He felt a bit shocked, to say the least. Lately, it was all Eddie this and Eddie that, Eddie showed us this totally cool band and Eddie hosted a sick campaign. Not that Steve cared. At all. Okay, maybe a little.
Your hand had stopped moving in Steve’s hair. He imagined you worrying on your bottom lip. “You do want to go, right? I told them you would …”
Steve got up on his elbows, arms braced on either side of you so his chest hovered over yours. “Yeah, I want to go. I just … didn’t think they’d want me to.” He cringed at his own voice. He sounded so morose. “Y’know?”
He hadn’t meant to sound self-pitying, but it sure seemed like it. You frowned.
“Why not?” You looked unhappy and genuinely confused, head tilted slightly to the side, like a puppy. “They love you, you know that.”
Steve huffed. “I don’t know if love is the right word, babe.”
He slumped back down to hide his face. Why was it, that even with the easiest person to talk to in the world, he found it so hard to get the words out? You seemed to read his mind, as usual.
“Steve,” you said. You made it sound like the prettiest word ever to exist. Even when you added, “You’re being ridiculous,” it sounded like music to his ears, sweet and smooth like honey.
Steve gave a half-grunt half-sigh.
You sighed, too, though far more patiently. “Are you really gonna make me spell it out for you?”
When he didn’t answer, you shifted underneath him, moving to sit up. You pushed gently at Steve’s shoulders to get him up with you, and he allowed himself to be manhandled into a sitting position. When you were both sitting across from each other, legs all tangled over the couch cushions, you took his shoulders in your hands.
“I love you,” you said, slow and firm, giving him a shake with each word. Your eyes bore into his. “The kids love you.” Three more shakes. “You are loved.” With each word you planted a kiss to his pouting mouth, sweet and firm until he was grinning under your gaze, a laugh rising from his chest.
Giggling madly, you continued to pepper kisses all over his face, his skin burning hot under your lips.
“Alright, enough!” He finally exclaimed, breathless and giddy with laughter as you moved back, laughing just as hard.
“D’you think it’s drilled into you now?” You asked, huffing as you brushed a stray hair from your face. “Or do you need some more convincing?”
Steve could see in your smile that by ‘convincing’ you really meant kisses. He pretended to consider. “A bit more convincing, I think.”

Landslide | cs55
Tumblr media
"Even children get older, And I'm getting older too" Life moves on, pretty quickly at that. Your last night with Carlos is one that you'll both remember forever. Even years later when he fulfills his biggest wishes. Warnings: Suggestive content, heated make out sesh lol, sadness, happy/unhappy ending? Mostly unhappy Pairings: Carlos Sainz x Reader(y/n) Word Count: 4.2k Poetry style | Story style A/n: I LOVEEEEEE Landslide by fleetwood mac and the way this song hits you when you're about to move out-UGGHHHHHH I wrote the first half of this then went out, got drunk as fuck, woke up and wrote the rest of it with a hangover, so forgive me if there are any errors. Anyways, enjoy this internal dread i'm feeling turned into a FanFic. Growing up is so weird, isn't it?
Tumblr media
I took my love, I took it down I climbed a mountain and I turned around And I saw my reflection in the snow-covered hills 'Til the landslide brought me down
2012.
“¡Sainz joder!” He turned around to look, a smile splitting his lips. Antonio had a frying pan in his hand as the two of you ran through his kitchen. Carlos’ hand squeezed yours with so much force that you wondered if it would bruise. It didn’t hurt, though. In that moment, nothing mattered but that damn smile that Carlos carried. “¡Anda, anda!”
Finally, you reached the back door of the kitchen. Carlos used his whole body to push it open, hoping that nobody would be on the other side. Luckily, the alleyway was empty, save for an employee sitting on a bucket smoking a cigarette. Carlos kept running and you had no choice but to keep up-your hands were still intertwined after all.
Antonio ran out the door, stopping as he watched you two make your grand get away. “Bastard! I ought to tell your father! And your father too, young lady!”
It was the same threat he used every time you and Carlos cut through his kitchen. I’m going to tell your fathers that you two are devious children! He’d say. He never did, though. Antonio was a friend to both yours and Carlos’ parents. He could if he wanted to, but he didn’t. For over ten years, you and Carlos would walk into his restaurant-situated on a busy Madrid street-and slowly sneak your way into the kitchen. Sometimes, when he wasn’t there, the waiters and cooks would just let you freely pass. But, more often than not, he was there and it suddenly became an obstacle course of running past cooks, dodging frying pans and slipping between shelves. It was worth it, however. A small, secret alleyway that was blocked off by a fence from the main road laid on the other side of the restaurant.
On the left-the building that Antonio’s restaurant was in-was a fire escape. It spanned up ten stories to an abandoned rooftop bar. Over the years, Carlos would bring small objects up there. Pillows, blankets, a small folding table, a few boxes to keep the stuff safe. He had the place designed to his liking-like it was his house or something. He’d put string lights up there too, giving the space a dreamy, photogenic atmosphere. So many nights were spent underneath the abandoned bar. You’d slept there a handful of times. You’d gotten drunk for the first time there, too. That space was yours and his. It was Carlos and y/n’s spot; everyone knew it.
So, as you and Carlos climbed the fire escape, it was hard to believe this was the last time the two of you would be spending the night up there together. It made you nauseous to think about.
“Try not to look so down.” Carlos chuckled as the two of you kept climbing the stairs. He could read you like a book, obviously he saw how upset you were. “Let's enjoy tonight.”
“Easier said than done, Carlos.” He stopped suddenly, your chest running into his backpack. His hands grabbed your shoulders and he-shook you? “Carlos stop it!”
“Sorry I was just trying to get the idea that I’m leaving you out of your brain.” He said, dropping his hands.
“But you are.” You said, evoking a sigh from him. Before he could apologize-which you knew he was about to do-you shook your head. “Listen, I’m so excited for you, Carlos, but-I don’t know. Life is going to be so different without you in it.”
“I’ll still be in it, mi novia. It’s not like I’m dying.”
“But Carlos, you’d always come home to Madrid after a race. You’d always be back to see me. We would work on school work together. I’d come to your races sometimes.” You sighed, looking at the metal ground beneath you. “But I’ll be in college and you’ll be in the British Formula 3 now. That's a massive step up. And when you do come back to Madrid, I won't be here.”
He didn’t speak, not for a while. The two of you just stood there, in the Spanish heat, looking at the ground. Life would never be the same. He couldn’t say anything to deny that. Tomorrow night, he would be catching a flight to London, and at the same time, you would be catching a flight to the United States. You’d both leave behind Madrid and only ever return as guests to your hometown. Maybe your rooftop hideaway would go untouched. Maybe some new children would find it and claim it as their own. They’d find the boxes that said, Carlito&Muneca, in sharpie and wonder what those names meant. Maybe they’d sort through your things, maybe they’d turn on the string lights and gasp at how beautiful the place looked.
Being eighteen was weird. You didn’t like it too much.
“Let's go, y/n.” Carlos grabbed your hand once again, pulling you up the fire escape. Three more flights awaited you. The sunset had just begun, but the primary color in the sky was still blue. You could still hear car horns from nearby streets. The air was still warm. The two of you were still young. At least for tonight you were.
Once you reached the top Carlos stepped aside, allowing you to take in the scene.
Oh, mirror in the sky What is love?
The spot on the stage where Carlos and you normally sang and danced to his iPod Nano was now completely redecorated. There was a plush blanket, pillows, a pizza box, and those damn string lights you loved were hanging from the roof. A small card was on one of the pillows. It was, of course, addressed to you in Carlos’ fanciest writing.
Anyone would think that this was a romantic gesture. But you two were best friends. Since birth, really. Not a day went by without conversation between the two of you. Carlos was your soulmate. Of course you had crushes on him here and there-he was hot, funny, caring, charming; you could go on and on. But you never acted on it. Keeping him around was better than losing him.
“Carlos,” You cupped your mouth with your hands. It was beautiful. “When did you-Is that pizza from Antonio’s?”
Carlos laughed, amused that the first thing you pointed out was the food. “Yeah,” He said. “He’s pretty sad that he won't see us around town anymore, either.”
Your heart sank. Right. That's why this was all set up-as a final goodbye. In the few moments of excitement and shock that filled your body upon seeing all this, you had forgotten that tonight was it. “I don’t know what to say.”
“Vamos, let's eat.”
That you did. Carlos and you sat at the bar and ate, watching as the sun sank lower and lower over the city skyline. Somewhere along the way, he pulled some liquor out of his backpack. You two drank and talked, reminiscing over everything the last eighteen years had brought. That one time you spent the night at his house and started a small fire in the kitchen-from then on sleepovers were at your house. That one time you two took a day trip to the beach and Carlos’ foot brushed a stingray's back. That one time you were at one of his races and a driver started hitting on you, so Carlos punched him in the jaw and got suspended for three races. That one time a wild hare was in your guest bathroom and your parents weren’t home so you called him over to help and you trapped it in your mother’s favorite cooking pot. That one time he lost a bet and went streaking through his neighborhood in the middle of winter.
The two of you were hunched over in laughter, your abdomens cramping from how hard you were laughing. Carlos wiped a tear away from his eye. “And remember Mrs. Nunez? She saw me that night and sprayed me with her garden hose!”
You sniffled. “Like why was she awake at five am? And why was she gardening?”
“Literally! I was fucking freezing. The scream that came from my mouth after that-”
You both mocked his scream at the same time, laughing even harder as you remembered the old lady’s shocked face from that night. Slowly, you both started calming down, giggling as you remembered the streaking ordeal. Carlos took a sip from his beer. You drank from your rum and Coke. It was darker now, still not pitch black, but darker. You looked up into the sky, watching as clouds rolled by.
“What am I going to do without you?” Carlos asked. You looked back down. He was staring right at you, bringing the beer bottle back up to his plush lips. “Can’t you just quit college and travel with me?”
You scoffed. “And be what? Your trophy bestfriend?”
“Trophy wife?”
You swore that your heart stopped beating. Wife? As in marriage? Obviously he wasn’t being serious, right? Carlos was a playboy. He’d had plenty of girlfriends in his lifetime. From your past observations, you weren’t his type at all. He preferred dolled up girls, ones with fake blonde hair and exquisite makeup. He preferred high heels and short, skin tight dresses. He preferred long nails and longer lashes. Synthetic beauty. You were far from that. When you put on makeup, it was simple. You dolled yourself up, yes, but everything about you was natural. From your hair color to your nail length. You were a natural beauty-something Carlos had never indulged in.
“Very funny,” You smiled as you took another drink.
“What?”
You blinked very slowly at him. “Us getting married? Sure.”
He shrugged. “Why not? You don’t love me?”
“Of course I love you, Carlito.” You tried using his nickname to deescalate the situation. “But you would never marry me.”
“Bold assumption.”
Was he drunk? Or, was he shooting his shot because tonight was it? This was quite possibly his last chance, was he taking it? Was he working you up so you’d miss him more? God, this was confusing. “Carlos-”
Before you could even say another word, he was leaning forward to kiss you. His lips were warm on yours, a side effect of the alcohol you were sure. His lips were so soft, so large, so perfect. They pulled yours in with such ease, such delicacy-almost like you were fine China. His free hand came to your jaw, thumb resting on your cheek.
He pulled away first, much to your surprise. There was about half a beer left in his bottle. He downed it before speaking again. “I’m sorry, y/n. I don’t know why I thought that was ok.”
Your teeth pulled your bottom lip in. You’d just kissed Carlos, something you only ever dreamed about.
Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?
You reached out, both palms resting on his cheeks this time, pulling him in for another kiss. Fuck it, you thought. This was a new dynamic between the two of you, but it was one that younger you would be ecstatic about.
This time, there was more hunger behind the kiss. Carlos understood this was something you wanted, and you now understood this was something he wanted. His tongue slipped between your lips, finding a home in your mouth. His hands wrapped around your neck, not applying any pressure, just applying warmth. You felt so warm, so satisfied. This was finally happening. Why couldn’t it have happened two years ago?
Carlos pulled away again, gasping for air while resting his forehead on yours. “Come here, hermosa.”
You got off your barstool and sat on his lap, your chest flush to his. The two of you resumed your makeout session, his hands roaming your back, your hands draped around his neck. You moaned into the kiss once his large fingers snuck beneath the fabric of your shirt and touched your hot skin. It was electrifying, it was new, it was so good.
You could feel the bulge in his lap pressed against your thigh. His kisses turned sloppy, his hands moved quicker, his breath grew shorter. It was obvious he was growing impatient with you sitting right there. He was hungry for you. He only wanted you.
His lips attacked your collarbone, leaving little bitemarks and wet spots across your skin. You ran your hands across his broad shoulders, leaning your head back as he created a constellation across your chest. The night air was cold, the sky was now completely dark. The string lights were off, but the glow from the city provided enough light for you to see Carlos at work. He looked so good, so handsome, so perfect.
He chuckled into your skin, the vibrations causing you to shiver. He involuntarily thrusted his hips up, grunting as he did so. You hung your head on his shoulder as he composed himself. “Wrap your legs around me when I stand up, ok?”
You could only nod, feeling gravity shift as he rose to his feet. You did as you were instructed, his arm coming to your lower back for support. Your chest was pressed so deep into his that you wondered if two humans could possibly get closer than this. You really wished your shirts were off so you could feel his skin on yours.
Softly, Carlos laid you down on the makeshift bed. It was more comfortable than you imagined it would be, but maybe your mind was too clouded with lust to be rational. You were focused on Carlos and only Carlos.
A gasp pushed past your lips, not because of anything Carlos did, but because of a loud and sudden explosion. The sky lights up in colors of reds and yellows, blues and purples, greens and oranges. Sparks quite literally fly as fireworks rip through the once still air. Carlos is beside you now, watching the sky with such intensity you wonder if he has ever seen a firework before.
“It’s Saint James Day.” He says to himself.
You’re pulling the covers up to your chest as you catch the small, toothy smile that he holds. He pulls his knees up and rests his elbows on them. You’re amazed at how quickly his attention changed from you to the fireworks.
“You had no idea?” You ask. “I knew there would be fireworks but I didn’t know they’d be close enough for us to see.”
Carlos shook his head. “I didn’t know, no.” He looked back over to you, that smile still on his lips. “What a way to spend our last night in Spain.”
Your heart stops beating. It’s like he was hellbent on reminding you that this was it.
Slowly, he reached for your jaw once again, bringing you in for a kiss. It was soft, it was gentle. It was reminiscent of the first kiss the two of you shared only a few minutes ago. Never, you thought, do I want this to end. It did, however. Everything has a beginning and an end. The circle begins when you place your pen on the page and it stops when you’ve finished drawing it. The story begins at birth and appears like it ends on a rooftop in Madrid-semi naked with fireworks in the background.
The fireworks carry on for a few more minutes. They seem to illustrate photos in the sky. Carlos sees it, too. He pulls out his phone to snap a quick photo before turning it to you. This goes unnoticed, you’re too preoccupied in watching the show before you. He snaps a candid photo of your side profile. It was one he would cherish for the rest of his life, even if it was low quality and dark.
When the sky falls dark once more, the sound of cars below once again filling your ears, Carlos turns his whole body to you. “I love you, y/n.”
Can I handle the seasons of my life? Well, I've been afraid of changin' 'Cause I've built my life around you But time makes you bolder Even children get older
And this time, it feels different. It feels like there is a non-platonic meaning to the sentence he says everyday. Carlos has been telling you he loved you since the two of you could speak. Everytime you two say goodbye his last words are, “I love you.” Every time he’s overjoyed with you he says, “I love you.” Every gift you’ve ever given him has been opened as he says, “I love you.” Every time you run into his garage after a good or bad race he greets you with, “I love you.” You begin to wonder if you’ve missed some signs along the way-if you were too immersed in the thought that, he would never date you, to realize he’s been fighting for you all along.
He answers your question when he speaks again. “All I've ever wanted in life was you. I knew that at the end of the day, I’d be alright as long as you were there, y/n. After a bad race, you were standing there waiting for me and I realized that it isn’t the end of the world. After a bad breakup, you were there to tell me that I’m not a douchebag and I’m actually a good person. After people told me I could never make it big in racing, you stood proud as my number one fan and forced me to carry on with my head held high.”
Your throat begins to burn. This was goodbye. This was Carlos’ confession.
“I have loved you for such a long time, y/n. It’s always been you. I have always wanted you.” No. “I have never clicked so well with someone. I have never thought someone was so beautiful as you. You don’t even have to try, either! You’re just so,”
He trails off, looking straight ahead at the city. His eyes glisten. You wonder if he’s about to cry. You know you’re one more word away from crying.
“I don’t know how I'm supposed to be ok after a bad day without you there to hold me.”
That does it. You hold a hand over your mouth as tears pour down your cheeks. They’re hot, but they aren't the same warmth that Carlos radiates. They’re painfully hot, his touch was pleasantly hot. You’ll have to learn to live with one and not the other, however.
“Carlos,” You choke out. He doesn’t turn to look at you, just staring straight ahead as tears of his own trickle down his cheeks. “Oh, Carlos.”
“This sucks.” He says.
“This sucks.” You repeat.
It sucks. Saying goodbye sucks. Leaving your hometown that you love so dearly sucks. Leaving your best friend sucks. What will become of the two of you? Will Carlos still love you? Will he return to Madrid and visit with your parents? Will he be saddened to see your empty room? Will he turn to look at every girl who resembles you and hope that somehow, someway, you found him? Will you do that to every man who looks like Carlos?
He leans back, laying flat on the bed. You rest your head on his chest, his fingers coming to play with your hair. “I believe with every bone in my body that you will do amazing things, Carlos. You’ll be a world champion one day. And guess what? You’re going to do it because you are strong. It’s not going to be because I’m holding your hand, it’s going to be because of your dedication, your talent, your strength, your skill. You’ve worked for this, Carlos. And you are going to do it.”
He sniffles, placing a kiss to the top of your head. “I love you, Carlos.” You say. And maybe things will be ok, maybe they won't. But you know that Carlos will go on to do great things. You know that he's the type of boy-no-he's the type of man to accomplish whatever he puts his mind to. He’ll fight for his life in that damn race car and then step out of it and make the whole room laugh and smile. He’ll make amazing friends, ones that will occupy the space you have always resided in. He’ll be happy and feel whole. He’ll think of you from time to time. Maybe you’ll visit one another when you both are in Madrid at the same time.
“I love you, y/n.”
And I'm getting older too
2026
You haven't run this fast since high school. Somewhere in the crowd, you’ve lost your husband, but you don't care. You have a mission to accomplish, a friend to see.
“Carlos!” You shout, waving your hands like a maniac. “¡Mi hijo! Carlos!”
A hand grabs you by the bicep. “You can’t be in here!” The strange man shouts. Did you run past some barriers? Yes. Did you push some young fans? Yes. Is security worried about your intentions? Yes. But there, only a few feet away, if the new World Champion.
“Let me go! I know Carlos!” You fight the man causing another to join in on the situation. Both of your arms are restrained and they’re practically carrying you out.
“Everyone says that.” One of them says.
“Please!” You beg. It’s been over three years since Carlos and you have seen each other in person. Life dragged you two apart. You thrived in college, becoming the girl that everyone loved. You made friends quickly and made memories even quicker. Carlos thrived in racing, too. He moved his way up pretty quickly, his Formula One debut coming just three years after he left. You’d seen the Youtube videos of him and his friends, you’d heard the inside jokes, read about Carlando-you knew he was happy. But, you two weren’t as close anymore. You’d text frequently, reaching out before a big race or after a difficult one. You’d facetime, too. You both had one another on social media, and sometimes he would comment on your post or respond to a story you had up. Life was different now, however. You and him were married. He couldn’t come to your wedding, it fell on a race weekend. You couldn’t go to his. You said you had work but watching him marry another girl would stir up some pain, even if you were in a happy relationship. You didn’t frequent Madrid all too much, choosing to vacation elsewhere when the time arises. But, vacations were rare now that you were a mother. This was the first time you’d been out of town since giving birth three years ago. It was worth it.
“Carlos!” You cried out once more. He knew you were at the race-he was the one that bought you the tickets-but you wanted to see him now, not later.
The commotion caught his attention. He stared for a second, trying to understand why two men were carrying out a girl, but then he saw who it was. “Y/n!”
He dropped the conversation he was having to run over to you. The hands of strange men were replaced by those of a familiar friend. You felt warm again. You felt whole.
He swept you up in a hug, spinning you around as you squealed. “You did it! You fucking did it Carlos!”
“I know! You were right muñeca! You were right!” The nickname alone was enough to make you cry. You hadn’t been called that in years. Since the two of you were in your teens.
He dropped you, hands sliding onto your cheeks. For a brief moment, you thought he would try to kiss you. He didn’t. But your mind wandered.
“I’m so happy you’re here.” He smiled softly. “None of this would have happened without you.”
“Me?”
Carlos nodded. “I carried your words with me every day. Nobody has ever believed in me as much as you have.”
“Carlos-”
“I love you, y/n.”
The tears were back, and they fell hard. “I love you, Carlos.”
He was pulled away to go do his podium celebration. The Championship had come down to the last race of the season. Carlos beat out his competitors, however, winning not only the race, but the World Championship. And as he stood on that podium, champagne spraying through the air, fireworks began to pop in the sky. It lights up in colors of reds and yellows, blues and purples, greens and oranges.
He looks down at you, a smile splitting his lips.
It seems like the highest award to achieve, but he hopes that in another life, one hopefully close by, that he can get the one thing he desires most.
You.
Maybe in another life, you followed him. Maybe in another life you two got married. Maybe in another life you reached out more. But in this life, Carlos is a World Champion. You wouldn’t trade his excitement, his pride and his joy for anything.

“Uh guys,” Klaus said. “We might have another problem!”
“Ah, shit,” Five said. You follow after him, peeking over his shoulder.
“Who are they?”
“One’s the Handler, and the other is Diego’s girlfriend.”
“Lila, my ex-girlfriend,” Diego corrects.
“You know what? Doesn’t matter. They both look angry,” Luther observed.
“Yeah, well, your brother has that effect on people,” You snort.
Five kicks you in the shin for that. You let out a yelp and glare at him. He grins to himself before walking forward, “All right, I’m gonna go find out what they want. You guys stay here with Vanya and the kid.”
“I’m coming with you, too. Come on,” Diego said, stepping out with Five.
“Me too,” You chimed in, offering Five a small smile. The boy just rolls his eyes at you.
“You just have to follow me everywhere, don’t you?”
“Yup.”
The three of you stop in front of the Handler and Lila, nothing that they were both very unhappy. Except, Lila’s anger was directed more towards Five and not her ex.
“I love the smell of country air, don’t you, darling?” The Handler asked.
“Makes me wanna vomit,” Lilia deadpanned.
Five glances between the two. “What do you want?”
“To watch you suffer,” Lila replied.
You shrug. “Well, don’t we all.”
“What about me?” Diego asked.
“You’re not even worth my wrath.”
You raise your eyebrows at him. “Ouch, downgraded there, buddy.”
“Can you just shut up?” Five sneered, looking at you.
“Not with your dumbass around.”
“Easy, we’re here on official business,” The Handler broke in.
Five turns back to her. “And what business is that?”
“As the head of the commission, I’ve decided to eliminate the criminals responsible for the assassination of the former board of directions.”
“Yeah, right,” Diego scoffs. “We didn’t kill the board.”
“Well,” You said, dragging out the L.
“Uh, actually, Diego. That’s not entirely accurate,” Five mumbled, hands in his pockets.
The Handler tilts her head. “You didn’t tell them?”
“What the hell did you two do?” Diego demanded.
“What we had to go to get our family home,” Five said. “Until someone reneged on our deal.”
“Somebody wouldn’t have reneged on the deal if someone could’ve met a simple deadline. Alas.”
“You set us up to fail!”
“You set yourselves up to fail, friend — you and your brothers and sisters. Kind of the running theme of your little life, isn’t it?” The Handler chuckled.
Diego turns to Five with a shake of his head. “Dude, I can’t believe you killed the board of directions. You have no idea how messed up the commission is right now.”
“Messed up? Who’s saying that?”
“Everybody — Christ, even the janitors think it’s going to shit.”
“That’s not all he killed,” Lila suddenly spoke.
“What are you talking about?” Five snapped.
“Don’t play dumb, you prepubescent piece of shit.”
You scoff at her. “Okay, crazy lady, why don’t you shut your mouth? Only I get to talk to him like that.”
Five raises his eyebrows at you. He’s not sure if he should be offended or flattered by what you said. Though, he goes with offended because it came out of your mouth, and anything you say is stupid.
Like your stupid face. He hates it. That stupid smile that makes his heart skip a beat and your stupid little half-grin you always give him and only him.
It was disgusting.
For sure.
“Enough. The point is, all of you are going to die today. Hm?” The Handler cut you off.
“Oh,” Diego clicks his tongue. “Well, I don’t like your chances — seven of us, two of you.”
“You know, you’re right. Let’s change that.” The Handler snaps her fingers, and thousands of people blink into view. All of them carry briefcases and guns.
You let out a low breath. “Well, shit.”
“So, what do we do now?”
“Well, we got two choices: Fight and die now or run and die later. Either way, we’re food for worms,” Five said, rolling his shoulders.
“What’ll it be, boys?”
“Wouldn’t mind a few more minutes breathing air through the old windbags.”
“All right. Let’s get this over with, shall we?” The Handler grins, raising a red handkerchief.
“Run!” Five shouts, grabbing your arm and taking you with him.
Diego ducks, using his hands to cover his head. “We’re not gonna make it!”
Five huffs, grabbing Diego’s wrist and suddenly blinking you closer to the barn.
Diego groans. “Five, I think I’m gonna puke.”
“Diego, you puke, and I’ll puke,” You replied, flinching as bullets bounced off the tractor you’d hidden behind.
“What now?” Five questioned, peeking out from behind and ducking as bullets whiz past him.
“We blink into the house?” You suggested, gesturing towards the building with your hands.
Five narrows his eyes at you before grabbing you and Diego and trying to blink you away. His fists turn blue, but nothing happens, just warbling. “Shit, I’m out of fuel. I’m too tired.”
“Go! I’ll… I’ll cover for you two,” Diego said, standing up.
“What?” You shake your head. “Diego—”
But he’s already stepped out, stopping all the bullets and holding them there. “Go!”
Five doesn’t have to be told twice. He grabs your wrist and makes a dash for the building. Once inside, he shoves you under the table following after.
“A little harsh, don’t you think?”
“I just saved your life, dipshit.”
“Didn’t ask you to.”
Five just clicks his tongue. “Well, too bad. You’re welcome to step out and get shot.”
There’s silence, and you frown at Five. “Why do you hate me?”
“I—”
Before Five can answer, a high-pitched ringing sound is heard, and he puts his arm around you.
“What are you doing?” You shout over the noise.
But in seconds, the house begins to shake, and debris falls from the roof as Five covers you with his body. Which was odd considering his earlier comments. A loud crash is heard, and Luther hits the ground with a thud.
Five lets go of you, scrambling from under the table and going towards his brother. “Luther, you all right?”
“Oh, I think I swallowed my tongue,” he moans, rolling over.
Five rolls his eyes. “Luther, if you swallowed your tongue, you wouldn’t be talking, you big moron.”
“That and you’d be choking,” You added, standing beside Five.
He lends a hand to Luther, hauling him up to his feet. “Come on, on your feet.”
Luther groans with the effort but steadies himself. “Hey, what the hell happened? What was that?”
“She must’ve redirected Vanya’s energy wave.”
“Yeah, I know, but how?”
Something cracks above you, and you feel yourself harshly shoved to the side, knocking against the wall as the bricks from the fireplace crash down onto Five.
“Watch out!”
“Five!” You scream, but then Lila enters the room, and you decide to remain tucked in the corner. Five was fine, probably.
Not like you cared… at least, you tried not to.
“What are you?” Luther asked.
Lila cracks her neck. “Someone who wants to kill your brother.”
“Well, that’s understandable. Diego can be a lot to handle.”
“Yeah, I was talking about Five.”
You roll your eyes at their exchange. Who did this lady think she was?
“Him, too,” Luther pauses, “but unfortunately, they’re family, so you’re shit out of luck.”
He swings a punch at her, but she catches it, causing his eyes to go wide.
“How is this possible?”
“Gotta believe in yourself, big boy,” Lila taunts before throwing him out the opposite wall. She follows after him, and you take your chance to get towards Five.
You pull at the bricks, trying not to panic when there’s no sound. “C’mon, Five,” You mumble. Suddenly a hand springs out, grabbing yours, and you yank the boy hard.
He lands on top of you, blood dripping from his head, but otherwise, very much alive. You sigh in relief, blinking harshly.
“Are you okay?” You asked softly as he rolls off of you.
He nods, looking anywhere but you. “I’m fine.”
You frown at his curt reply, but that was Five. What more was there to expect? He made it very clear he didn’t like you.
Something shuffles behind you, and you turn your head to see Lila again.
Five stands up, bringing you with him. “Looking for me?” He asks.
“Five—,” You start. He just looks at you, eyes pleading, and for some reason, you listen. Lila’s eyes flicker towards you, but before anything else happens, Five blinks in front of her.
“Don’t look at her. Look at me,” He said. “You wanna fight? Let’s fight.”
Both disappear in a flash of blue, leaving you alone in the wrecked house. You step through the hole in the wall, looking for the other siblings to see if you can be of help. You rush over to the group of them, lifting a tractor off of Diego.
“Yeah, but she can only mirror one of our powers at a time,” Klaus said with a raised finger.
“Who, Lila?” You asked.
Allison nods. “You sure about that?”
“Okay, I’m not sure about that, but she can only mirror it if we use it first, right? That’s confirmed.”
Everyone mumbles in agreement.
“So we just need to… not use our powers?”
“Maybe, and if we catch her like that, we can question her about her powers and stuff. Maybe she knows more about this than us.”
“Yeah, but first, we need to find her,” Diego said.
“She disappeared with Five,” You said, pointing towards the barn. “And I’m gonna assume those flashes of blue light are them.”
“Cause you’re one of us,” Diego spoke, stepping into the barn first. You follow with all his siblings, catching Five’s eye and moving towards him.
“What happened to you?” You asked.
He just scoffs. “Nothing I couldn’t handle.”
“Really? Cause you sure look like you had your ass handed to you.”
Five rolls his eyes. “Did you just come here to insult me?”
You shrug. “Why else?”
To check that you’re okay, to make sure you’re alive because I love you.
You miss the slight frown on Five’s lips after you said that.
“You don’t know me, Diego,” Lila spat, knife touching his chest.
Diego just smiles. “Don’t I? I know that we can be your family if you just let us.”
Lila glances around the room, and you offer her a small smile despite her antics to kill Five. Five gives her a tight-lipped smile, stepping closer to you and unknowingly brushing your shoulders together.
It happens in a split second. You heard the first gunshot, and you saw Allison fly to the floor. And yet, in slow motion, you can see the bullet heading for Five, and out of instinct, you shove him harshly to the ground before shortly following.
Pain floods your entire system as warm blood soaks your clothes. You turn your head to meet Five’s eyes as he lays next to you.
“Hey,” You breathed out before coughing up blood.
“You fucking idiot,” Five whispered, crawling towards you.
“I’m dying, and that’s all you can say?” You scoff, trying to cover the hurt. You didn’t know what to expect after saving his life, but it wasn’t that. But knowing he was alive was enough for you. Five was a hero, after all. You just hoped he knew a way to fix this.
Five just shakes his head, a hand brushing a piece of hair behind your ear. “No, I… there’s so much I want to tell you, but I can’t.”
You laugh. “You can’t, or you won’t?”
“I don’t know how.”
“You don’t know how to love?”
Five’s eyes turn glassy as he nods. “I’ve been alone for so long… I’m sorry, (Y/N). I’m so sorry. I never hated you. I always—”
“It’s okay, Five,” You cut him off, coughing harshly again as more bullets are heard. Five doesn’t look up to see Lila crumble to the floor.
“You’re crying,” You mumbled, hand finding his. There’s comfort in it, knowing that as you’re dying, Five’s comforting you. He’s holding you. That’s all you really ever wanted.
“I know,” Five admits. “Why would you do that?”
“Because I love you, even if you’re not ready to love me back.”
More tears slip down Five’s face, and he brushes them off your paling cheeks. He doesn’t know what to do. Your breath keeps getting shallower, your eyes don’t stay open anymore, and you just sound like you’re in pain. He wants to tell you everything. He never hated you. He just didn’t know how to love you. Maybe he didn’t want to in case this happened.
He was used to solitude, and he was sure he liked it until he met you.
He needed you.
Five opens his mouth to tell you he’s ready when someone else speaks.
“Oh, good. You’re still alive. Lucky you, you get to see how this all played out.”
The Handler raises her gun at Five, but before anything happens, she’s shot down by Axel. She falls limp by Five’s side, and he turns back towards you.
“(Y/N),” he starts before he realizes you're gone.
He falls back in horror, realizing he never got to tell you he loves you too.
Memories flood his brain, clouding his visions, and he can hear you laughing in some of them, smiling at him, caring for him when he never did the same. You didn’t deserve that. He always knew he loved you, but showing it was so much harder than he expected. But in the thirty seconds, you’ve been gone, Five realizes he has to push that to the side. He misses you, his family, and his future.
“Start small. Seconds, not decades.”
Five offers one more look at you and realizes what he has to do. His hands turn blue as he begins to reverse the last minute.
It’s like déjà vu, but as predicted, the Handler walks in, and Five snatches the gun from her. He points it at her and she raises her hand in defeat.
“It’s true, isn’t it? What Five said,” Lila shouted. “Answer me, is it true?”
“Well,” The Handler starts before being shot down.
Your eyes widen at the sight of blood dripping from her mouth, looking towards Five dropping his gun.
Lila runs towards the briefcase, followed by Luther and Diego.
Five, however, speaks to the Swede. “Enough.”
The man echoes it back and leaves.
As soon as he’s gone, it’s like time starts again as the siblings begin to talk. Diego and Luther already arguing, but Five just rushes towards you.
You’re startled when he hugs you tightly, one arm around your waist and the other on the back of your head.
“Five?” You ask.
He shakes his head. “I’m ready.”
“Ready for what?” You ask with a chuckle.
Five swears he's never heard anything better than that. He takes a while with his response, eyes tracing your face and taking in all your beauty.
“Ready to love you.”
Your eyes widen at his statement, but he just cups your face tenderly and kisses you. You melt into his arms, falling into them easily. His thumb rubs small circles on your cheeks before pulling back and resting his forehead on yours.
“Why the sudden change? Thought you hated me.”
Five just smiles. “I never hated you.”
“I never hated you either.”
“I know,” Five said smugly. “You were pretty obvious about it.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “Thin ice, Five.”
He just kisses you again. “Love you, sorry.”
“Mhmm.”

Let me be the one - Haikyuu!! Oikawa Tooru
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Collection: My spotify playlist of songs that play in my head at the most unconventional times
Genre: Angst, hurt with comfort
GN!Reader (They/them pronouns)
A/N: Me and my friends were doing karaoke while drinking yesterday and my friend suggested that I sing this song and this morning I had the idea of Oikawa with this and I am sobbing
Synopsis: When given the choice between you or volleyball, Oikawa makes the decision that could make or break you.
Tumblr media
“Somebody told me you were leavin', I didn't know, Somebody told me you're unhappy, But it doesn't show”
Oikawa knew that volleyball was close to everything for him. His life revolved around volleyball and his team. With his determination to get to nationals in his final year of high school, he puts all his time in practice, including his time with you.
You and Oikawa have been together since the start of 2nd year, him being your friend before that. You naturally understood his passion for the sport and supported him all the way, but with Seijoh’s loss against Shiratorizawa in the interhigh prelims, his final chance at nationals is around the corner with spring tournaments coming up, he became more distant.
You understand his desperation with each practice, but it came to the point where he’d forget you even existed. Oikawa knows you as an understanding partner, but he doesn’t know how much more you can take. It was when he found out from Iwaizumi the next day that you were actually waiting for him after practice because he promised that he’d walk you home.
Tumblr media
“Nobody told me you've been cryin' Every night, Nobody told me you'd been dyin' But didn't want to fight”
“You know, you need to get your priorities straight. I know nationals is important to you, to the whole team, but is it really worth it if you lose Y/N over it?” Iwaizumi told him, staying late with him after practice. “Huh? What’s y/n have to do with this?” Oikawa asked, glancing at his best friend before doing a serve.
“I mean, you kinda left them in the cold yesterday, they were waiting for you outside the gym, and said you promised that you’d walk them home… something about it being your monthsary or something.” Iwaizumi answered. Oikawa’s eyes widened at the realization. “Fuck…” he said.
“Yeah, figured you forgot. I told them to just go home, you were too in the zone yesterday, even I couldn’t get you away from the net.” Iwaizumi added. “What… what did they say about it…” Oikawa asked, voice lingering with a sense of dread. “We didn’t talk about it much, it seemed like they wanted time to think so I just let them, but honestly, you’ve been distant with them for months, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got tired of you making them your least priority.” Iwaizumi stated, standing up and walking towards their things.
It's been a week since you’ve seen Oikawa, with spring high qualifiers approaching more and more by day, the less time he’d have for you, the most you’d get are a few good morning or good night texts but that’s it. It was draining, and you can’t even talk to him about it because you can’t even find time to meet him.
“I-I don’t know anymore… I miss him, it hurts that I feel like I'm just second to that damn sport…” you tell your brother, Issei, who is your boyfriend’s team mate. “I don’t think I can do this anymore…I love Tooru, I really do, but everyday without him is just too much for me. But I don’t know how to break up with him. I’m scared that if I do it suddenly, he’s gonna lose focus with his training and all that, but what about how I feel? I don’t know anymore, Issei.” you admit to him.
“Nobody told me that you fell out of love from me, So I'm settin' you free”
“Oi, Oikawa.” Issei marches up to his captain, “yeah?” Oikawa asked. “I’m gonna say this once, and one time only. You need to set your priorities straight, Y/N is an understanding person, but don’t take that for granted. I’m gonna need you to pick between them or volleyball, because I can see that you can’t do both at the same time without messing one up.” Issei says, voice laced with seriousness, causing Oikawa to freeze.
“They’re… they’re getting tired, aren’t they?” he asked, in a small voice. Issei gives a reluctant nod, Oikawa looks down for a few seconds, before giving a sigh and looking at his teammate once again, “Sorry, don’t worry, I'll set things straight.” Oikawa answers.
“Let me be the one to break it up, So you won't have to make excuses, We don't need to find a set up where, Someone wins and someone loses, We just have to say our love was true, But has now become a lie, So I'm tellin' you I love you one last time And goodbye”
In the cold evening air, Oikawa asks to meet you. “Y/N…” “Tooru…” you both say at the same time. “Issei told me…” he started. “Oh…don’t worry about that! It’s just me overthinking things” you explain. “He said I need to set my priorities. And Y/N, I love you, but…” Oikawa starts, “Nationals has been my dream since I was young, and this is my last attempt…” he continues, you nod. “Yeah, I get that. But I don’t mind, really!” you force, you know where this is going, and like you told your brother, you don’t know what you want to happen. “Y/N… please, you’re hurting. I love you, so I can’t let you suffer because of my selfishness. I want to get this achievement, and as much as I’d want you to be there with me, I can’t prioritize you right now. It’s shitty of me, I know, hate me all you want. I’m sorry, Y/N.” Oikawa finishes, eyes watery, but he knew he was doing this so you don’t have to.
“Okay… goodluck with spring highs, even if we’re not together anymore, I’ll still be supporting you.” you said, tears in your eyes. “Goodbye, Tooru” you say and give him a final hug.
“Somebody told me you still love me, I don't know why. Nobody told me that you only, Needed time to fly. Somebody told me that you want to come back when our love is real again”
It's over. Aoba Johsai lost against Karasuno, ending Oikawa’s dream of entering the national stage. He was devastated, he felt like he lost everything, and maybe he did. He sacrificed everything, he sacrificed his wonderful relationship with you and it still wasn’t enough. He has never regretted a decision before.
He still loved you, never once since the break up did he stop. So when he saw you and Issei walking towards him, he was doing his best to restrain himself from clinging onto you and asking you to come back.
“Look, I don’t know if this is the right time for this. It’s probably not, but I cannot stand you both moping around. So talk this out, the game is over.” Issei says, leaving you with the brown haired male.
“Hey… long time no talk…” he says, “yeah, uh… sorry about the game, you played well. Honestly, thought you’d win.” you say, still not used to the awkwardness. “Yeah…” he answers, pondering if he should do it. “So, how have you been?” he asked. “Good, I guess… still the same person.” you answer. Oikawa took a deep breath, and stood up. “Hey, Y/N… what if I told you that I still love you…” he whispered to himself, but enough for you to hear. “W-what…?” your shocked expression was a sight for the brunette.
 “Y/n, since we broke up, never once did I stop thinking about you, if that was the right decision, if that's what I really needed, if that's what we really needed” he started. “The tournament is over for Aoba Johsai, nationals is just a distant dream for me right now. I lost in volleyball, I don’t think I can bear to truly lose you. It was shitty of me to pick volleyball over you, you who has been nothing but supportive of me. You who was there for me, and yet I took that for granted.” he took your hands in his. “So please, take me back. I’ll better myself, I’ll be better for you.” He begs. You’re still in shock, “I-Tooru…” You hesitate. “Do you still love me?” he interrupted, “yes, i never stopped.” You answered, without hesitation, this time.
“We can work together through this test or we can work through it apart, I just need to get this off my chest, That you will always have my heart”
“Then please give me one more chance.” He asks again, “Okay. Okay Tooru.” You answer, giving a smile. His face lit up, caging you into a tight hug, earning giggles from you. “I love you so much.” He whispered into your ear. “I love you too, so so much.” you answered.
From a distance, Issei and Iwaizumi were looking at the both of you, “Thank god they’re back together. I can’t stand another rant from Y/N” Issei comments, “yeah, I can’t go another whine from shittykawa about missing Y/N” Iwaizumi adds.

She Wants A Baby

(P4-5) Jotaro x OC (Astor Prism)
Implications of 🍒💀, suggestive content, unhappy marriage, neglectful husband Jotaro (BUT HE GETS BETTER), Astor misses cherry boy
feel free to insert yourself/your oc into this if you’d like! i’m just proud of this <3 if you’re curious about astors appearance, here you go!
~~~~~~
Jotaro slung his bag over the passenger seat and walked his way around to the drivers seat. Exhausted, he sat with his full weight, the car bouncing up and down a little before settling with him inside.
He shut the car door and covered his face with his palm, swiping downward and blinking away his exhaustion. He sat staring out the front window for a few seconds before finally turning the key into the ignition and turning on the air conditioning, preparing for his forty-five minute drive back home.
He pulled out his phone and checked the time - it was only 11:43, by the time he gets home it should be just after midnight. Jolyne will be asleep and Astor will be… doing whatever she’s doing when he gets there.
As Jotaro put the car into drive, he began to think about how he doesn’t know his wife as much as he used to. With the amount of work he’s had lately, all his time is occupied by the foundation. Working 12 hour, sometimes 18 hour shifts back to back, heading home to sleep for nearly 2 hours before he has to get up and work again.
This is exactly the reason Priscilla initiated a divorce in the first place. The man prioritized his work. His family? Merely an afterthought.
He wished that they could understand it was the other way around. He worked so much to be able to support his family. The paycheck was entirely worth it. Having Astor at home being able to take care of Jolyne and spend time with her friends (that being Priscilla) was all Jotaro wanted for her. She worked so much before he took the load, she deserved to rest. Jolyne deserved to have bountiful christmases and birthdays. Jotaro was the man of the house, and what kind of man would he be if he wasn’t working?
Not only that, but with the dangers that came along with being a stand user, he couldn’t imagine what he would do with himself if harm came to his family. It would’ve been a good excuse if Astor wasn’t a stand user as well, but it was an excuse regardless. Astor is capable of protecting Jolyne, she’s capable of protecting their family - Priscilla included.
Jotaro could protect them too, but he knew that as a Joestar, there could be so much else that could go wrong. He didn’t want to put that on his loved ones.
Caught up in his head, time passed quicker than he had expected it to. He didn’t remember half of the drive, but all that mattered is that he was in the driveway and the lights in the house were dim.
Lethargically dragging himself to the front door, he fumbled around with his keys and walked in. His gaze facing downward, removing his shoes as he shut the door behind him. Bringing his eyes up to the kitchen as he removed his blazer, he spotted Astor brewing tea with two cups on the counter.
“Hey,” Jotaro greeted, walking in and settling down on the couch with his arm over his face.
“Hi,” Astor replied quietly, the sound of the spoon clinking against the porcelain of the tea cup filling the silence.
“You’re still up,” Jotaro said, stating the obvious in attempt for a conversation.
Astor was quiet for a bit, save for the ‘ting-ting-ting’ of the spoon and cup, before even that sound became quiet too.
The soft padding of Astor walking up behind and around to the couch with a cup of tea in each hand was louder than it should’ve been. She placed one in front of Jotaro on the coffee table, and held hers close to her chest.
“You’ve gotten home around 12 for three days in a row, I wanted to catch you while you’re still awake,” Astor responded, sipping her tea. The remote on the coffee table was looking more inviting than usual.
“I know,” Jotaro said, adjusting his posture and tasting the tea. Earl grey, the perfect amount of bitter and sweet, and something else he couldn’t put his finger on.
The two sat in silence for a few more seconds that felt more like hours.
“I want to have a baby,” Astor stated.
Jotaro felt his heart stop. He choked on his tea briefly, setting it back down on the coffee table, the abrupt movement causing some tea to spill out and onto the glass.
He finally turned and made eye contact with Astor for the first time in about a week. Her eyes were red, bags he’d never seen before had formed underneath. She had a line between her brow that seemed to have made itself comfortable. She was so exhausted, just like he was. She was trying.
Astor spoke up again through the silence. “I love Jolyne. I see so much of you in her. When I have her here, it’s like you’re home again. It’s like I’m raising you.
“When she’s gone, I’m lonely. It’s just me. The house is quiet. I haven’t felt the warmth of someone next to me in bed for weeks.” Astor broke the eye contact, looking to the door, taking another sip as if to calm herself. “I want to have a baby.”
Jotaro continued to stare, partially in disbelief, mostly because she was so beautiful. Motherhood had caught up to her, regardless if Jolyne was hers or not. She was already a mother in the most important ways. She wants to have a baby?
“I didn’t get to see Jolyne when she was born,” Astor continued. “I didn’t get to
see the diapers phase, I didn’t see her terrible twos,” she took a breath. “I didn’t get to be a mom yet.”
“You want to have a baby,” Jotaro repeated.
“I want to have a baby,” Astor confirmed.
She wants to have a baby.
Jotaro blinked once, then again, then again. She wants to have a baby. With him.
“I,” Jotaro started. “I don’t know what to say.”
Astor shrugged, looking down.
“Okay.”
She stood up from the couch and walked toward the stairs, Jotaro’s eyes following her as she went.
“Wait,” Jotaro called out to her, but made no effort to stand from his spot on the couch. Astor stopped her movement at the first step, waiting for him to say anything else.
He didn’t.
She continued her way up the stairs, quietly, as to not wake up Jolyne in the room right after.
Jotaro knew he wasn’t the best at communicating, but this was bullshit.
He took a glance at the tea, noting that flavor he had never been able to point out before. Ever since Astor had started making it for him, the taste was prevalent. Something he had never had before. He loved it. He loved her.
He couldn’t remember the last time he kissed her. Or the last time they’d hugged. Shared a meal, slept in bed together; he couldn’t remember a lot of things. The only thing that he knew was his wife was a blessing, a godsend. An angel.
The moment he proposed to her was the moment he knew he made the right choice with the right woman. She was everything he ever wanted. He had her, why did she feel like she didn’t have him?
Maybe it’s because she married the wrong man. The right one died over twenty years ago.
How could it be possible that what’s right for him is entirely wrong for her? Was that just his luck? Is it possible that everything he touched would be ruined one day?
She wants to have a baby.
Everything Jotaro does is for his family. All the work, all the traveling, all the time spent away is for them. He wants to do the best he can for them, he’s given them everything and more. She wants a baby.
Before he could even blink, he was in front of their shared bedroom door that was kept slightly ajar.
As he entered, his shadowed figure overtook the doorway from where Astor lay. She felt her stomach turn, watching him enter the dim room and shut the door behind him, encapsulating them entirely in the dark save for the lights outside their windows.
She felt the bed dip from her right, her back facing him. She felt his hand run across the length of her torso, his arm wrapping around to her chest, his front flat against her back.
Astor felt his breath against her neck, and his voice enter her ear.
“You want a baby,” Jotaro muttered, holding her close. Astors breath hitched, and the air was suddenly thicker.
Her hands found their way to his arm, leading their way up to his fingers and caressing them.
“I want you,” she said, voice barely above a whisper, a sudden wet warmth running down her face from her eyes.
In his touch, she felt him. The feeling of his hand now brushing against her cheek and turning her to face him. He was gentle, he was sweet, he was home.
The darkness framed his face perfectly. As she reached her hand to run her fingers through his hair, she felt a hat and was set back in reality.
Jotaro wiped a tear with his thumb, a piece of her he was entirely too familiar with. He felt her remove his hat and let his curl fall. She couldn’t see, but he was a mess.
“When you want something,” Jotaro quietly spoke up. “I give it to you.”
He felt her nodding in his hand.
“I give you everything.” Jotaro said. “You’re spoiled.”
Astor couldn’t tell if her involuntary laugh was sincere, or of disconnect.
“…I’ll lower my hours.” He offered, hesitant to accept his own words.
“Just be here.” Astor shook her head. “With me. With Jolyne. Priscilla.”
“Don’t bring her up when I’m trying to have sex with you,” Jotaro leaned in for a kiss.
Astor smiled against his lips, “I’m being serious.”
“So am I,” he pecked her lips softly, an immediate yearning beckoning in the foreground of his mind.
As a car passed by, Astor caught a glimpse of Jotaro. He is soft. He is gentle, he is sweet. He’s home.
She brushed aside the curl against his forehead and leaned back in for another kiss. This is all she wanted, this is all she needed. He’s right. When she wants something, he gives it to her.
She wants a baby.
This whole Dan Harmon interview is worth reading, but here's a few essential quotes:
When the show scored its second season, Harmon was eager to staff up, filling out their ragtag cable team with Harvard-educated Community writers. If they were going to make a play for network primetime audiences, he reasoned, they’d need network primetime writers. “If I had felt like I was imposing something, I would have never done it,” he says, having played the whole thing back in his head countless times over the past decade. He can see now how Roiland must have felt that that transition was about making the show more Harmon’s than his, but he insists that was not his intent.
“If anything, what I wanted was for Justin and I both to be able to be increasingly lazy and not show up for work. That was the dream,” says Harmon. “We’d be these rich idea men. He could roll around and go, like, ‘What if a genie had a butt instead of a dick?’ And I could be like, ‘Yeah, and plus, we’re going to make people cry about it, and that’s going to make them freak out. It’s a story about a genie butt dick, but then we’d win an Emmy, and itd be more ironic than ever.’ And then I’d come to find out later that it was like, ‘Oh, Harmon brought in his Harmon writers,’ and, man, that is not how I saw it.”
[...]
The last time he and Roiland spoke was over text in 2019, a conversation that left Harmon in tears. “He said things that he’d never said before about being unhappy, and I remember saying to him the last time we spoke in person, like, ‘I am worried about you, and I don’t know what to do about that except to give you all the string and also just say I’m scared that you’re not going to come back.’ But then this conversation became unprecedentedly confrontational.” Harmon stops himself there. “I think that’s as far as I get to take the story. At that point, we’re no longer both there for it, and it starts to become not only unfair for me to continue but totally uncomfortable because, from there, a friendship goes away, and I still don’t fully understand why.”
[...]
“The easiest thing for me to say about Justin has been nothing. Easy because he isolated so well and easy because I’m nobody’s first choice as a judge of anything or anyone. This is where I’d love to change the subject to myself, to what a piece of crap I’ve been my whole public life,” he says. “I would feel so safe and comfortable making this about me, but that trick is worthless here and dangerous to others. It’s other people’s safety and comfort that got damaged while I obsessed over a cartoon’s quality. Trust has now been violated between countless people and a show designed to please them. I’m frustrated, ashamed and heartbroken that a lot of hard work, joy and passion can be leveraged to exploit and harm strangers.”
---
I suggest reading the full article because it goes pretty in-depth into Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's relationship and how their collaboration fell apart. The article also has some intriguing details about how the show operates behind the scenes.
Watching him fade away;
Part 1
Part 2
Genre: smut, angst
Warnings for this chapter: smut, a lot of angst and desperation, dacryphilia, dirty talk (beom calls reader a slut etc..), no protection (don’t do this), Slight breath play, overstimulating, oral(f receiving) , I think thats it!
A/n: hey so, I’m making a part two I hope the few people who saw part 1 will be satisfied with this! ^^ Enjoy!
Reminder: this doesn’t portray the members in real life at all.
"Listen y/n , I'm not sure of what I can say if I'm being honest here... First of all, stop crying, please... I'm not going anywhere, I'm right here with you."
It may seem like a harsh thing to say but he had the sweetest voice possible and the sweetest eyes, you knew he meant no harm in any way. Without releasing the tight grip you had on his shirt, and while your head was still on his chest, which smelled like his usual cologne, you eventually calmed down. Your eyes and face were still humid but no tears were filling them anymore.
"I think I respect you and appreciate you enough to tell you the truth y/n, I don't think I feel the same. I'm sorry if I lead you on, it wasn't my intention. It was all just in the heat of the moment, I didn't think it was serious. I thought not contacting you anymore wouldn't have bothered you. I shouldn't have assumed, sorry". He regretfully said, not letting himself feel for you, scared of everything going wrong. Beomgyu didn’t want to keep things casual, in fact he ached to know you more.
Sadly this was his reality, and couldn’t bring himself to let you in his heart, giving you the opportunity to break it. It was a defense mechanism and he couldn’t go against it.
His heart throbbed in pain the whole night seeing you break down like this, but he couldn’t help it. He felt it was best to protect himself and , at the same time, protect you from his doubts and real feelings.
Of course you knew none of that.
You definitely saw his response coming but it didn't make it any less painful to hear. he didn't want you back, this is, has always been, and will always be unrequited love. He was all too good for you, adorable, fun, intelligent, handsome, and good in bed. A girl like you could never interest him, you were selfish unhappy, and insecure. Even though he somehow changed you, you still remained the same deep inside, someone unlovable even for Beomgyu.
Without a warning tears came again, this time it was desperation that filled your whole self, disgust, and pity. You didn't quite whine and hiccup, like earlier, you cried to yourself, feeling ashamed. Your grip became loose and Beomgyu didn't move, patting your head while hugging you tight.
You truly didn't deserve any of him. You hated that he was still so kind to you? you couldn't even hate him. At this point the only person you could possibly hate is yourself.
"It's, it's fine you can.. let me go now" You said this with bitterness in your mouth, not wanting to ever leave his embrace.
"But can you grant me one last wish before I leave? I promise I'll never bother you after this."
"I, uh, I mean sure y/n, but-", his sentence was cut short, you shushed him softly, you knew he was going to say how he doesn't mind seeing you again, but for you, it was a bad idea, you were just going to fall deeper for him.
"I know what you want to say Beomgyu, but this will be the last time we will purposefully be seeing each other, I don't want to hurt myself anymore, I hope you get it"
"I do"
"Then could you please make this last meeting the best we've ever had?"
You weren't sure about this but it was definitely worth a try. He chuckled lowly and said "You're really a slut, aren't you? All you can think is about my dick? Pathetic, and here I thought this was serious."
The shame you felt was overcome by the sheer excitement you felt, if this was going to be the last, then at least make it worth it.
Beomgyu went on to lift you up, princess style, not saying anything. You looked up , into his lust filled eyes through your eyelashes. When you arrived at his bedroom, you didn’t even get the time to look around and grasp the new surroundings, as he harshly put his lips against yours.
He was on top of you for a few seconds , but then flipped you around to sit on him, more precisely on his crotch. You gasped at the feeling of his semi hard dick against your hot cunt.
“Tell me exactly what you want from me”
He said harshly, while rocking his hips into yours, you were already softly whimpering at the friction, unable to control yourself you roll your hips to match his pace as you throw your head back and hold his shoulders for support.
“I think I asked a question, didn’t I? Answer me now you desperate slut”
You moaned at the way he was treating you and answer in a whisper that he still heard
“I want you.. Please make me feel good , fill me up, please”
You practically begged him. Seeing you so desperate for his cock made beomgyu twitch in his pants, wanting to absolutely wreck you and make a mess of you. He wants to see you cry and beg endlessly.
He smiled a bit before going back to your lips, easing his tongue into your mouth. You were sloppily making out, while hips rocked against yours and his hand grabbed at your ass. You let some moans escape your lips. You wanted more. And it’s like he read your mind because he easily flipped you over, took your little dress off from you, and stared at you, with what seemed for a split second affection.
You didn’t have time to think much about it because as soon as the dress was tossed somewhere on the floor, he immediately went down toward your awaiting and dripping pussy. He swiftly teased you with his fingers, sliding them softly along your slit and your clit on top of the white fabric. He formed circles with his middle finger around your clit, and a wet patch was starting to form on your panties. He then licked up your pussy, with his tongue flat, making you whimper. This went on for a little, he endlessly teased you and licked you through your lace underwear. You couldn’t bear it anymore, your eyes were watering with frustration and you said
“Beomgyu stop teasing me..! Please… I want you in me”
He smiled, removing your panties harshly, almost ripping them off. And within a second he was eating you out like he never did. You immediately went to grab his hair and moaned as he licked at your clit. It was very wet, and he introduced two fingers into you. He switched from flat licks to sucking on your clit to stimulating it extremely fastly all while pumping his fingers in and out of you.
You were a moaning mess, calling out his name and grasping his hair to pull him closer. The stimulation was so good that you started closing your legs on him, not being able to handle it. But with his free hand, he pulled your legs apart, and mumbled on your pussy something along the lines of “stop moving”.
You were getting closer and closer, moans getting louder and his name coming out more and more. With him touching you how he knew you loved. And he could feel you clenching around his fingers and grabbing harder at his hair. It was his sign to halt. He sucked at your clit one last time and got up from between your legs. You were shocked and your eyes were wide. Not understanding why he stopped as you were so close, you were so frustrated you felt your eyes water once again.
Which was exactly what he wanted.
He grinned seeing you cry out of frustration, seeing how good he made you feel and how you already looked fucked out with your messy hair, swollen lips, and mascara running down your cheeks. He couldn’t resist the urge and kissed you. He grabbed your neck harshly with one hand, choking you slightly while the other hand unclasped your bra to feel up your boobs. You lean into the kiss and the slight shortcoming of air made you even more hungry for him.
“Get on all fours for me whore”
It was unexpected but you didn’t fail to obey. Going on all fours, exposing yourself fully to him. You arched your back and awaited his touch. Then you felt a harsh slap to your ass. You moaned out in pain and pleasure.
“You obey me so well hm? Good girl. I see you even arched your back for me? Are you that excited?”
You didn’t answer, mind all too fuzzy to even know what to say. Then a second slap to your ass came.
“Didn’t I tell you, when I ask you a question you answer, and here I thought you were good for me. You fucking whore. Are you so impatient for my dick that you can’t even think?”
He scoffed, and you answered before he could slap you again.
“m’ sorry… m’ so excited.. want you so bad gyu please I need you”
He felt himself get as hard as a rock at the nickname and the begging while tears rolled down your cheeks. He himself was getting worked up.
He removed his pants and his boxers, and his shirt. While you were still on all fours for him.
“Are you ready doll?”
The sudden nickname made you melt as you hummed a yes in response. He didn’t wait much longer before he spat on his dick and pumped himself a few times. You were already dripping so there was no need for more lube. He slowly eased himself into you as you moaned loudly “beomgyu ah… oh my god so big!”. He felt proud and eventually bottomed out, moaning at the feeling. “You like it huh? My dick fills you up so well. I’m the only one who can make you feel like this understood slut?”, you didn’t even think about the true meaning of this sentence and whimpered while saying loads of yes.
He slowly started to fuck you, grabbing at your waist. Then he suddenly fastened the pace and fucked harshly into you, slapping your ass with force. You moaned at every move he made, not being able to think at all. Calling out his name, as the only thing you could remember right now. Beomgyu is all that filled your mind. “Ah.. so good for me, so tight and wet” beomgyu let out. He then grabbed a fistful of your hair to pull your head back so he could kiss you. It was passionate and filthy, spit coating your lips and around it. He swallowed all your moans like it was the sweetest drink ever. Then he went on to mark you up, leaving hickeys down your neck and back, bite marks as well. He leaned forward and grabbed your boobs, flicking and twisting your nipples and his pace never faltered. He kept slamming into you with no mercy. You were a screaming mess, crying overwhelmed with pleasure and stimulation, you couldn’t even stand with your arms. Beomgyu noticed this and flipped you around, never getting fully out of your dripping pussy, filled with a mix of his precum, spit, and your juices. He got on top of you, putting your legs around his waist as he continues his pace. You hook your arms around his back, scratching him without even noticing. Both of your moans fill the room and you feel yourself getting closer to the edge. At this point, your makeup is long gone and you can’t stop crying while screaming his name. You manage to babble out “m’coming!!”. Before he slams harshly into you and rubs at your clit, he says “come for me doll”, he pushes you over the edge and you feel yourself exploding on him, completely dick drunk, melting by his touch. And needless to say, he loves it, he wrecked you and you feel so good coming around his hard length. He continues ramming into you chasing his own release. You feel extremely overstimulated and feel a second orgasm washing over you as you can’t even say anything, just cry his name out. And he comes into you as you come for the second time. He rides out both of your orgasms by slowing his pace and kissing you softly. Weirdly enough, you immediately doze off to sleep, maybe passing out from exhaustion.
You hear background ruffling and you open your eyes, it’s still night time but you’re clothed in an unknown shirt. You see him picking out a jogging and walking towards what seems to be a shower. You want to reach your hand out to him but you’re too tired. He enters the shower and closes the door behind him. Without noticing you. You feel clean down there but still sticky. You want to take a shower as well. But truthfully you don’t want to go further than sex. Going in the shower with him seems like disregarding his feelings for you. But you can’t help yourself. You’re selfish and you know it.
You knock at the door and call his name lowly. You hear the water stop, and him saying “yeah? You can enter the room y/n I don’t think I have anything to hide”, he chuckles and you do too. For a second you feel a connection with him, you feel like this is intimate and that you’re special. You quickly discard that thought tho.
You walk in and see him rubbing soap on himself. He explains that you passed out after it so he cleaned you up with a damp towel and put you in one of his shirts. You slept for a good while as he had the time to pick up your clothes and put them in the washer before wanting to shower.
You find yourself smiling at the action.
But you know it’s over now.
You know that the marks on your body will eventually fade and the ones on his back as well.
So you decide to rip off the bandage and move on with your life.
“Thank you beomgyu, for everything truly. I enjoyed every moment I spent with you, from the sex to the split moment where I got to know you. Thank you for making me feel special even just a tad bit. I won’t be mad at you because you don’t like me back. I understand. I hope you find someone that makes you as happy as you made me, you truly deserve it.” you laughed a bit before continuing “I’ll be stealing one of your pants, but don’t worry I’ll give it back to you, you can give me back my underwear as well then. Thank you so much for tonight. Goodbye".
With that, you turn your back to him, as you try to move your legs to leave, and you're not sure if it's because you're exhausted or because you really don't want to leave; perhaps a mix of both. But you can't make the move. Tears well up in your eyes and a lump grows again in your throat. You try your best to keep it in until you muster up the strength to leave. And as you make a step towards the door, you feel a wet hand grabbing yours.
You shockingly turn your head to look behind you, only to be met with an equally as sad and confused beomgyu.
You stare at him as tears flow down your cheeks and his, you don't get it and neither does he, but eventually, he lets go of you. And you understand that he took the step and him letting go of you meant that it was officially done. You turn around to the door once again, and you start to leave. As you walk out the door, you think you hear a whisper of beomgyu saying "sorry..i'm sorry"
You don't try to get why he is sorry and simply leave. You get it, it's over.
You walk out of his house, and the next day, it's like nothing ever happened. He still lingers your thoughts when it's especially cold outside, but that's it. The only time you'll ever meet again will be to get your stuff back. But will that day ever come?
It's been about 1 week and a half, and you think to yourself that the day will never come. So, you simply put his stuff on a shelf in your apartment, a small sign that you're still awaiting his call that may never come.
Beomgyu is lost deep in thought and tries to let go of you, he wants to forget it all. He knows you mean no wrong, but he's still scared. You never leave his mind, but he's never going to call.
You're now both unknowingly waiting for a love that will never occur. All you can do is watch the other from afar wondering how their loving embrace would feel like.
Not everything ends up like you wish.
some midnight random thoughts as i reread tsc
so, i don’t know if i’m missing something but i’m currently on chapter six, page 118
there’s this part with jeremy and his sister:
“overdue for a new scandal, hm?” she asked. “end the way you started.”
and the only thing i can think about is that WHAT HAPPENED AT THE START OF THE SEASON / SCHOOL YEAR?
is it related to the famous fall banquet that broke their family? is it a completely unrelated “drama”?
we obviously can’t know due to the fact that bffs neil and jean are probably clueless about whatever drama happened (WHERE IS KEVIN WHEN YOU NEED HIM)
also annalise asked jeremy, “what’s grandpa think of this new investment of yours?”
did i miss something or she is asking about jean?
what does jeremy’s grandfather have to do with exy? is he some kind of board member of usc’s exy team or is he someone who donates to the school or the team? did jeremy somehow have to convince his grandpa to get jean?
most importantly, if that turned out to be the case, what would jean feel if he finds out that jeremy considers him as an “investment”? would he feel betrayed, would he be understanding bc afterall usc needed a backliner and he’s one of the best? would he be upset bc after being an investment of tetsuji, and then of ichirou and now jeremy… is that all he’s worth?!
what did annalise mean when she said jeremy already destroyed the family? most likely it’s because of exy… is exy the reason of their parents divorce? what if annalise is unhappy of her new family while bryson loves his step father?
WHAT ARE YOU HIDING JEREMY KNOX?
“Cross.” Nightmare says appearing in front of him. Cross jumps coming out of his daze.
“Y-yes boss?” Cross stands up to show respect, he wobbles a little. His skull was pounding, he had to stifle a groan.
“I’ve called your name a few times,” Cross’s sockets widen.
“I’m sorry-“
“Are you alright?” Nightmare asked with a gentle tone that Cross had never heard from him.
“What..?”
“Are you alright? You’ve been acting off all day, if you need anyone to speak to you can always confide in me.”
“Y-yes I’m okay,” He lied. Cross felt his anxiety spike up, if Nightmare knew he was sick surely he would get upset. He didn’t have time to rest, he needed to do his job.
“What is the matter?” Nightmares asked seeing right through his lie.
“I-“
“Don’t lie this time.”
“I’m sorry boss, I’m just tired. I didn’t sleep well last night.” It wasn’t entirely a lie, he was really tired he also just happened to feel sick. Nightmare gave him a look of skepticism.
“You haven’t had much to eat today… Just because you are new doesn’t mean you need to hide yourself from me, you are safe here. You can trust me.”
Cross didn’t know how to answer, a part of him truly wanted to believe that but he knew better. Why was Nightmare being nice- he didn’t deserve it.
“But,” Nightmare says, not sounding entirely convinced. “If you truly are just tired, why not head to bed, then? I‘ll have the others handle the rest of your chores.”
Cross stared at him for a moment in hesitation. He felt guilty, he needed to push through and do his job. It was his turn to do the household chores.
“No boss I can-” He asked.
“It was not a request, go lay down. It’s an order.” Nightmare said sternly but still in a caring manner, Cross froze before nodding.
“Yes, boss.” He said before slowly turning away and walking to his room.
Cross felt bad about turning down the Horror’s food again.
Horror always seemed very unhappy if he refused to eat. Horror’s food was good, so good but he just wasn’t hungry and the thought of eating didn’t seem appealing. Eating only made him feel worse, besides he didn’t deserve it.
Cross pushed open his door which felt much heavier than before. He sighs and gets out of his million layers of clothes, he felt so hot but so cold. He knew he was sick but he could push it aside, he’ll probably feel better in the morning anyway.
Cross lays down in his bed in nothing but a blank t-shirt and shorts. He covers up and shuts the lights off. His mind drifts off to Nightmare and his gang.
They all seemed so welcoming to him when Nightmare took him in less than a month ago. Like he was a part of their family. Why? Why was Nightmare nice to him? Nightmare is the embodiment of negativity, wasn’t he supposed to be evil and uncaring? Was this just a plan to take him down?
He thinks of many terrible things before finally slipping into unconsciousness.
~~~
Cross woke up suddenly from a bad dream about his home au.
He was quick to sit up breathing heavily, he felt so disoriented.
Even though he was tired, scared, and confused he felt his stomach start to turn.
Cross‘s sockets widen he quickly takes the covers off and gets out the bed. He tried to run to the bathroom but falls to the floor, everything was spinning.
Cross on his hands and knees pukes onto the once shiny marble floor. Cross shook violently as he threw up all his stomach contents.
Cross began to cry, he didn’t fully understand why.
Was it pain? Was it because it scared him?
He wanted Nightmare.
That thought shocked him but he’ll think about it later. It felt like his whole body was on fire, especially his stomach. He couldn’t stop the sobs that tore through him with every few ragged breaths he took.
Cross begins to dry heave over the puddle of puke.
A hand gently touched his back, his breath hitches as he looks up in fear and relief.
It was Nightmare, and his soul sank.
“B-boss..?” He managed to choke out through his sobs. Nightmare kneeled next to him taking in the situation.
Nightmare began to rub his back soothingly. Cross immediately felt relief.
Though it felt good Cross was still quick to try and pull away.
It hurt his soul to do so, he wanted to be held, and be told it was okay. He didn’t deserve it, especially not now. He made a mess, Nightmare was surely pissed at him.
He began to hyperventilate at the thought of Nightmare being mad at him. He was going to put him back in his empty au- all alone.
“I’m sorry! I-I didn’t m-mean to ruin the f-floor!” Cross says crying harder, Nightmare carefully takes Cross’s hand and rubs it.
“Shh, shh…” Nightmare hushed him gently.
“Please! Pl-please don’t abandon me!”
“Shhh, Cross, it’s okay. I’m not going to abandon you…”
Cross tried to speak, but all that came out were miserable sobs and heavy breaths as tears poured down his face.
He was nauseous, dizzy, and hot. He just wanted to go back to sleep, he didn’t was Nightmare to leave.
“Are you able to stand?” Nightmare softly asked when Cross’s sobs had subsided.
Cross tries to force himself to stand, but his arms shake. He felt so weak, he whimpered. It took a few moments and Nightmare had to help him stand, but he carefully brought the sick skeleton to his bathroom.
Cross hovered over the toilet, it felt like he had to puke but nothing was coming out.
Nightmare sat next to him, gently rubbing his back. Cross dry heaves into the toilet, tears rolling down his cheeks. He felt so frustrated and just wanted to feel better.
He needed to be better so Nightmare doesn’t abandon him.
“Cross,” Nightmare said gently, squeezing his shoulder a little. “Take some deep breaths for me, okay?”
Cross tearfully followed Nightmare’s instructions to breathe in and out. While Cross practiced breathing Nightmare praised him.
“You're doing so good Cross, it’s okay just focus on breathing and me okay?”
Cross’s soul ached he only wanted to cry more from the praise, he didn’t deserve it.
Nightmare eventually stopped and Cross was able to fully calm down. Now he only hiccuped softly. Once he was calm Nightmare gently touches Cross’s head.
“You’re burning up,” He said with a worried sigh.
“Do you still feel like getting sick?” Cross thought for a moment before shaking his head slowly.
“Then I’ll be right back, okay?”
Cross wanted to shake his head in protest, but he didn’t was Nightmare to leave. He didn’t want to be alone, tears fill his sockets again when Nightmare left anyway. Cross pulled his knees to his chest, trying his best not to cry.
A hand touched his shoulder he looked up hoping for Nightmare but instead found Dust and Horror.
Horror was kneeling by him. Dust pulls his hand away and gets on Cross’s other side.
“Can I sit?” Cross nods carefully, finding it a little strange he asked.
Before Cross could even ask why they were there, Horror laid his broken skull on Cross’s shoulder.
“It…‘kay..we… here…now...” Horror spoke slowly. It greatly comforted Cross, but he still wondered why they were here and more importantly why they cared.
“Nightmare told us to come watch you, he said you are scared to be alone.” Dust said as if reading his mind.
Oh. So they didn’t want to be here...
“You can go then,” Cross whispered curling himself up tighter.
“I don’t want to feel like you guys have to do this.” Tears roll down his face, Horror hugs him tightly.
Dust shifted slightly then his head was pulled up by his chin. Dust forced him to look at him.
“That’s not what I meant. We want to help you, we want to be here for you. But you need to let us in.” Dust wipes Cross’s face cleaning the vomit off him. He throws the toilet paper into the trash and carefully wipes the skeleton's tears.
“I was very untrusting of Nightmare and the others too, I don’t think there’s any Sans out there who throws his trust towards anyone but Nightmare is good.” Cross couldn’t find his voice, it’s not that he didn’t trust them. He did, more than he’d like to admit.
“He makes sure we are all safe, taken care of, and happy,” Killer said from the doorway, he wore the same grin he always did but it was different. He seemed worried. His soul that was usually a target was now an inverted heart.
“I…” Cross says looking for the right words to say, debating if he should even say this.
“I don’t deserve that.. any of it.” He whispers, and he pulls his head away from Dust’s hands.
“Being happy?” Dust asked.
“That’s dumb I knew you were an idiot.” Killer chuckled. Nightmare came up from behind Killer, Error was at his side.
“Cross I have never seen anyone so selfless-“
“Oh! My pride!” Killer joked trying to ease the tension.
“Hush, You are deserving of happiness and love. I am so sorry you beloved otherwise.”
Cross looked at the floor as Nightmare spoke. Horror and Dust both got up from beside him.
They were probably leaving him...
Right when Cross thought they were leaving someone picked him up. He made a noise in surprise.
“Horror?” He said nothing as all of them walked out of his now clean room and down the halls stopping at one room.
It was Nightmare’s bedroom. Cross only knew it was his room because the door was a deep purple, Nightmare had told him if he ever needed him that he would be here or in his office.
“What if I get sick?” Cross asked being laid down in the huge comfortable bed.
“I put a bucket right on the floor. Just lean over it if you start to feel bad.”
“But what if I-“ Nightmare stops him.
“Whatever your about to say it’ll be okay, we’re not worried about anything in here getting thrown up on. We are here to comfort you.”
Cross only nodded.
“Can we get into bed with you?” Nightmare asked politely, Cross nodded.
“To do what?”
“Cuddle you of course- damn that fever must’a knocked up your brain.” Killer chuckles.
Nightmare cuddles Cross on one side on the other Horror cuddles him. Dust cuddles Horror and Killer cuddles Nightmare. Error made a hammock with his strings and laid in it close to the bed.
Cross felt much better like he could be happy. Cross could feel him being pulled into a peaceful sleep by Nightmare rubbing his back.
“Thank you,” Cross whispered sleep taking over him.
“You don’t have to thank us for taking care of you, we all love you Cross.” Nightmare whispers back to the already sleeping skeleton.
He places a gentle kiss on his forehead.
“Goodnight Cross.”
