Let me be clear: Iran's regime is legit awful and they don't deserve any support for their many many repressive policies and violations of human rights. Still, I totally get where they're coming from with this. You do not bomb other countries' diplomatic posts and get away with it. Unless you're Israel I guess. Then it's okay 😒

Also, now with all eyes on Iran, people are distracted from what's happening in Gaza which may very well be an intentional side effect on Israel's part. But don't forget: PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING KILLED AND STARVED IN THE GAZA STRIP.

Hi guys, so, the past March 8th, we women had a protest march in my country, México. Because we are one of the first countries with a high rate of feminicides in the world.

A video of a man got very viral because he decided to pass through the march on his motorcycle. Although everyone in the march told him to turn around and find an alternative street he ignored them and decided to past through anyway. Women reacted aggressively in a way since he was not listening and at the end of the day this is a very important and serious march for us woman since we’re being killed just for being a woman in this country. They started a fight and he started hitting very hard women. The police arrested him but they set him free hours later without any consequences even when he hurted a lot of women. His motorcycle was destroyed by women in the march since he started hitting women.

He lost his job after this. He previously had reports from his women co workers for being a stalker. Now he’s raising money in a gofund me to “buy a new motorcycle” He’s asking for a lot of money that he’s gonna use to “persue his dream company” and incredible as it sounds men are donating to him. This is so frustrating since he's profiting thanks to being violent with women. and since men in this country are very misogynist and hate women are supporting a violent men instead of giving the money to right causes.

The fact that’s he’s making money for this is horrible disgusting. Women and non misoginyst men in my country are reporting his gofoundme so he can’t get the money since he’s a threat for women in my country, he’s a violent men that hits woman and stalk them and got away with it.

SO PLEASE, I'M ASKING ALL WOMEN AND MEN TO REPORT HIS GOFUNDME SO HE CAN’T GET AWAY WITH THIS. GOFUNDME SHOULDN’T GIVE THE PLATFORM TO THIS DISGUSTING MEN AND WE NEED TO STOP THIS. SO PLEASE PLEASE REPORT AND SHARE SO MORE PEOPLE CAN REPORT.

Reading the Letters from Watson tag is similar to early Dracula Daily reading in that it’s so delightful to see people who have been grossly misled by pop culture be amazed and charmed by the original. The glee with which new readers recognize that Holmes is a weird little autistic guy and Watson is a young veteran with PTSD and that they have been brought together by happy chance when they need each other most, instead of an antisocial prick and a bumbling hero worshipper, is so satisfying!

In A Study in Scarlet, of course, they have not quite settled into their characters, but that’s all right, as they are both very young still. Watson didn’t even do a full tour in Afghanistan before being invalided out, and Holmes is still young enough for Watson to expect him to be training for his profession rather than practicing it. Just the age, in fact, at which people seek out roommates to share expenses and will take chances on total strangers in that capacity, to this very day.

They are still dancing around each other and being a bit cagey about showing their real selves; moreover, they are both wrong in some of their ideas about themselves and about how life works. Holmes’s “brain attic “ theory is obviously nonsense- brains don’t work that way! But it’s convenient for him to believe that they do at this stage of his life. Probably he evolved it to defend his pursuit of his special interests at the expense of more systematic and conventional studies. He is also on his best behavior trying not to annoy his new roommate, who is much more irritable now than he will be later when he’s learned to deal with his PTSD and the lasting effects of his wound.

But they are series characters and this will affect the amount and type of growth they are allowed. Certain things, once established, will never change. The game of deducing things about total strangers is here to stay, and so are the violin and the bewailing of the sorry state of modern crime; but most importantly, Holmes and Watson are in the process of bonding into an irreducible team of equals which pop culture has striven in vain to understand or to divide.
