I feel like every gaijin has a version of this miraculous story, but it had never happened to me until now, so here you go—I lost my entire wallet, but someone turned it in! With everything accounted for! All my IDs, two credit cards, more cash than I should've been carrying, and a few irreplaceable sentimental mementos. I couldn't quite believe it, so I sat down for a nice coffee to collect myself and count my blessings. (Cardamom latte—very tasty!)
When you turn in a lost item to the police here, you can leave your info in case the owner wants to thank/reward you, but this person chose not to. I wish I could thank them! I will have to try to do something very nice for someone and hope it pays forward...

COULD YOU STAY WITH ME? (pt. 2)
Tumblr media
featuring. the dateables (diavolo, barbatos, simeon, solomon). (the brothers version)
summary. you find it hard to sleep at night after a traumatic incident at RAD, you don't really want to be alone tonight, and quite frankly they don't want you to be either.
warning. gn! reader, sharing a bed/sleeping together (nonsexual), hurt/comfort, using these prompts.
Tumblr media
꒰ ♡ ꒱ ─── DIAVOLO
Despite what many think, Diavolo is incredibly observant of you and everything that goes on in the Devildom. The incident from earlier had been relayed to him from Barbatos, hearing of the demon who attacked you. Naturally, Diavolo had Barbatos deal with them whilst he invited you over to check on you.
"Are you doing okay?" He asked, watching you with careful eyes. He was monitoring you, watching over you like a hawk. You hesitated, still shaken from the incident. In fact, you were still trembling from it. It broke his heart.
"I've been better," You chuckle humorlessly. Honestly, when you closed your eyes, you could vividly see the scenes the demon threatened, making your stomach drop. You weren't sure how you were going to sleep that night.
"..." Diavolo is silent for a few minutes, whilst you struggle with your thoughts. "I know this might sound weird but... do you want to stay over? I guess 'sleepover' sounds kind of childish but I think it'd be good."
He didn't miss the way you froze.
Would it be okay to stay over at the castle? Under the protection of Diavolo? You're certain Lucifer would have a fit over it, but Lucifer isn't important right now. You smile genuinely, and nod.
"Yeah, I'd like that, actually."
꒰ ♡ ꒱ ─── BARBATOS
After hearing of what happened, Diavolo offered to let you stay in the castle as it was the most protected place in all of Devildom, and you agreed, only you were still having a hard time sleeping.
Wandering the halls, you're certain you're lost, but it's better than the nightmare that you face when you close your eyes. You stare at a certain painting that caught your eye, when Barbatos found you.
Barbatos frowned, approaching you. "Y/n? What are you doing up? Did you get lost on your way to the bathroom?" He teases, but you just stare at him blankly— it makes him feel weird inside; he feels the need to protect you fiercely.
"Y/n..." He says softly, "do you want to stay with me tonight?"
If you weren't so exhausted, you were sure your face would be as warm as a well lit fire. You nod, and let Barbatos lead you back to your room. He tucks you back into bed, and then lays beside you, although over the blankets.
"You can get under the covers, I don't mind." You whisper, and Barbatos chuckles but obliges, slipping under the covers if only to appease you. He hums a tune, a lullaby, it's enchanting and slowly working you to sleep.
It isn't long until you're fast asleep, with no nightmares in sight— still, Barbatos stays with you the whole night. He presses a soft kiss to your forehead, "Sleep well."
꒰ ♡ ꒱ ─── SIMEON
Simeon came over to check on you. A damn Devildom creature got lose, and attacked you. It had been two days, he thought giving you space might be helpful, so as to not be too overwhelmed, but seeing the state you were in he wished he would've arrived sooner.
Dark circles under your eyes, your cheeks gaunt. Your usual happy smile replaced with an exhausted expression. "Simeon?" Yet hope filled your eyes at the angel, and it only served to make him feel even guiltier for not coming the day it happened.
He stayed with you the entire day, the both of you watching movies, reading books, you helping him learn something new about his D.D.D., and other such activities. It was soon growing later into the night, and he thought he should return to Luke and Solomon.
"I'll be leaving now," He says, his voice quiet, but you looked panicked at his words.
"No, no, please," You clutched on to him, "Please don't go— I need, I need someone— I need you." You sobbed, not ready to be alone with your nightmares. Simeon felt sick to the stomach, he shouldn't have let you go through this alone, he should've came earlier. He held on to you just as tightly.
"Okay," Simeon whispers, petting your hair. "Okay, I'll stay. Just let me text Luke, and Solomon." The way you relaxed almost instantly at his confirmation made him feel better. He sighed a breath of relief, and pulled away from you, cupping your cheek. You nuzzled into the warmth, eyes fluttered shut.
If he could lift the burden of your sorrows, even if just by a little, he'd do whatever he had to.
꒰ ♡ ꒱ ─── SOLOMON
Solomon showed up at your door with what appeared to be a sheepish smile. He knew, of course he did, he had been there when it happened. A demon attacked you, luckily he managed to stop them before they did any physical damage but as for mental...
"Sol? What are you doing here?" You narrow your eyes at him in suspicion, and he chuckles, putting his hands up in defense as he pushes past you into your room.
"I'm not expecting anything, I just... I thought it'd be nice to keep you company tonight." You look over him. Was this the Solomon you knew? For him to be so kind without some ulterior motive... You were still skeptical, but knowing you'd have another night filled with nightmares you'd gladly take the company.
"Fine. But you're sleeping on the floor." He hums, a mischievous grin on his features.
"But of course, I'm a gentleman after all." You roll your eyes. Gentleman? Yeah right— the amount of times he's tried using you as a test subject prove otherwise.
"Can I at least get a blanket? A pillow?" You huff as you crawl back into bed, looking at where he sits on the ground, batting his eyelashes in a seductive manner.
"Should've brought your own." You say, before turning off the lights. However, a few minutes later, a pillow is thrown atop his face, a blanket following shortly after.
"Thank you~" You could basically hear the smug grin he had, and if it wasn't for his presences bringing you some peace, you'd kick him out of your room.
"Just go to sleep already."

Obey me! but with the brothers having had always been demons, formed in kid/baby-form as manifestations of the seven deadly sins. Lucifer was raised as the right hand man of Diavolo, appointed the brother of Mammon, then Levi, then Asmo etc. etc.
A version where they are more depraved and dark than they otherwise would've been 'cause they were essentially raised in the outermost layer of hell (think VERY questionable morals, moves like uncanny valley characters, where Satan tears and rips beings apart in his fits of rage, they don't understand MC's sense of right and wrong). I wonder how Lucifer and his brother's dynamics would have been with each other, with Diavolo and Barbs growing up. Would Belphie still have hated Diavolo for his absolute authority? Would baby satan still have formed as a manifestation of Lucifer's wrath, again adding to his rage due to his circumstances?
Lilith based on mythology was described as the 'queen of demons'. If the story was somewhat compliant to that, imagine she fell into the Devildom after the whole 'fall-in-love-with-human shtick' and Diavolo fell in love/took pity on her, which the brothers didn't respect or understand at the time (why feel bad for someone who fell in love with a puny mortal?). The bitter parallels it would draw when they fall in love with MC years down the line.
Imagine that instead of just reincarnating her soul as a human, Dia REPLACED the soul of a human infant with hers (again, being very morally dubious). Maybe he saw it as an interesting experiment of sorts, to see if it would have any effect her human off-springs. He purposely kept an eye on her descendants (hence, mc being brought into the DD). Cunning, manipulative and conspiring Diavolo (Soo-won type character) omgomg
I want the brothers to legitimately handle otherworldly, gory demonic entities (think of that monster from nocturne of nightmares), sort political Devildom affairs, kill/mess around with humans instead of just sitting around attending the demon-equivalent of highschool! They're eons old for crying out loud, why subject yourself to 1000's of years of the Academy??? If anything, their attendance at RAD should be a refresher course that happens for 5 - 10 years once or twice every century or so.
AKA Obey Me! but more Devildom-centric, where the characters got to actually deliver their role in Diavolo's government, where Diavolo had ulterior motives making the exchange program (perhaps to instigate an uprising, an all-out war to overthrow the demon king?). Where the other characters are actually fleshed out instead of just meaningless plot-devices (Barbatos with his powers, Monsolo, Lilith, and etc. all had so much potential)!
Sorry I wrote a lot, this is just everything I hoped OM! would be.
NO OMG I think about this sometimes too!! like I know why they didn't do it but still can't help but wish for more
demons are often depicted as everything but sweet and kind, which is what we see in the game. dia would not be this golden retriever type character (although I love that) he's supposed to be the next king, so he would be much more devious as for lack of a better word. god i wish they explored barb so much more. like why are we brushing over him like he's part of the wall?? he's so powerful it's insane. I'm glad solomon is getting more of a spotlight in nightbringer but I hope they use it to its full extent. i also wish they explored the general worldbuilding more and made it feel more real, like there's stuff outside the relationships mc has with the named characters
i absolutely love the lilith queen of demons thing, like it makes sense as to why it was mc in specific. of course they would bring back someone that important to them over and over again
another thing that feels totally ignored is that it's hell!! most people there are there for a reason! while personally don't know where the line should be drawn for what counts as being a sinner or not, for a fact i know that mc would 100% be meeting murders down there, like actually terrible people.
you put this entire thing so wonderfully so i hope you don't mind if I incorporate aspects of this into my obey me as horror piece! like don't get me wrong I love my silly little demons but realistically they would be anything but silly lol

I loved the finale but kinda wished hunter got to stomp belos too then sobs from happiness knowing it’s finally over or belos stuck in the between realm forever or reliving his worse nightmare as a fate worse than death
Honestly the finale felt so odd to me because we felt like were were getting setups that just were not given resolution in the finale.
And these are setups post cut, so these are things the writers had to have planned while knowing their time, which makes it more odd to me.
like at that point the focus should be to only set up things you are going to touch on and that come back into play, not add things you don't.
I personally don't think hunter needed to watch belos die, but when the show gave him new powers last episode i kinda expected them to like....come back in the finale?
like hunter's dash has no role in the finale at all, it was useful for the one scene he got regarding willow and gus and figuring out flapjack is with him and everything.....but it's one episode before the finale and it is completely forgotten after the fact outside of a couple dashes in the archive that are relatively minor.
and he ends up getting a new palsiman anyway so it just feels....off to me. I mean i was expecting him to get a new palisman but it now almost makes his dash a bit more irrelevant to even have.
kinda like how they kill glyphs, but we get glyphs at the end anyway so why the loss at all if it's not really going to stick?
honestly, let's ignore the fact the way belos died really should not have killed him for a second, Eda, Raine, and King are the characters with some of the least interactions with belos at all in the show.
Like his rule had affects on these characters and their loved ones and he did try to have eda killed, but when you think of belos' victims.....these three tend not to not be the first 3 you think of.
i kinda think the death would of been a little better if none of them jumped in and the rain just did it.
There was some minor set up for camilia or the other kids to help finish him off so i almost think it would've been more fitting if they were the ones to do it if we HAD to have that.
i dunno man, i've heard all the arguments for why belos's death works, and a lot of it seems to be rooted in the fact that "Belos is not complicated, he's evil, he doesn't need a big death and yada yada"
but it's like, it's not that belos isn't complicated, it's that the show seemed too afraid of making him complicated. I mentioned this in my last belos post but there's lots of evidence to suggest he's a more 3d character, because of how his story ties into the stories of other characters, because he symbolically represents what people who grow up in these oppressive systems can turn into. There's a lot of real potential for belos to stand out as a villian that comes from sympathetic origins but can't be forgiven or redeemed.
Which is a good lesson for kids, that people can come from bad spots but that doesn't mean you can forgive their actions.
Something that would be far more revolutionary and interesting and tie into the themes of this show much better.....then implying his depth, not committing to it and making him generic, and everyone praising this as if generic big bads who get killed aren't extremely common in most shows.
Su was a rare exception of redeeming a big bad, not the norm, and everyone seems to be under the weird vast impression it's the other way around. Unless you're a lacky, you die as a villain in pretty much every show.
But instead that gets replaced with "Well he did it cause he's inherently a bad person", even tho the show directly told us the audience that he was in indoctrinated child when it came to witch hunting, that this wasn't something he got into because he wanted to but because he NEEDED to survive in the town.
The show has plenty of set up and evidence that he does have something deeper to him but backed out of it for one reason or another.
And remember here, they were cut at ER, so they added this whole caleb backstory AFTER the cut, so even if were were to say they wanted belos to be deeper and changed their mind.....they added all the bits that implied depth AFTER the cut.
like frankly, in retrospect, if you want belos to just be an ozai metaphor esq character and not have any depth to his villainy at all, caleb should of been entirely cut.
Do something different with hunter, because having this half finished thing with caleb that is not relevant to belos's end at all feels like baiting the audience with complexity they never get.
You could of easily just reduced philip's backstory as just being this witch hunter who went missing years ago and that would be more fitting of making belos one note as they want him to be during the finale.
having all this drama with his brother leaving him for a witch and philip acting out in response feels strange to even implement if it's not even going to be touched on that much.
the show draws so much attention to it too, which makes it extra odd.
'They wanted to tell a story in the bg for the audience to figure out", ok, so that implied they want us to care about belos's origin....right??? So why not pay that off and reward those you got invested?
Having a little story to figure out is neat but not when its the basis for the plot and not when it's existence is gonna be boiled down to "Well none of this is relevant to why he became evil. He was just like that".
like having his backstory told like this could of been great, but the show ends saying belos is not complex and that none of this matters to why he's evil despite caleb clearly being important in why belos hates witches to begin with.
i might be less bothered if i knew the crew wanted to showcase the brother's story someday but they don't even seem to be high on the list of toh spinoff ideas.
it all feels like teasing a really compelling story that tied into the themes and then dropping it last minute. And now people are rewarding that because apparently now making villains just evil is revolutionary despite the fact this has been done to hell and back since the dawn of time.
Belos went from potentially being one of the most standout modern day antagonists, to being just like everyone else, and i'm not sure why everyone thinks that's supposed to be a good thing when we had the potential to look back at toh and reward them for diving into what can make people into a belos and the cautionary tale behind it.
and now instead of being memorable in that category for doing something interesting, he's just gonna be looped in with every other generic modern day big bad who represents this specific kind of evil.
If belos is not going to actually be allowed to be complex, don't bait the audience into thinking he is.

RESTLESS CONFESSIONS
fem reader x steve harrington
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: reader has insomnia, mentions of demodogs (RIP bob) literally just pure fluff!
she had gotten a job during the summer at the Scoops-ahoy shop located just next to a clothing shop in the Hawkins Mall, Not because she wanted the teenage experience of working an ice cream job but instead she needed money to keep up with fixing her car, and well she hadn't wanted to let her best friend down.
to which now it was her first month into it and already she thought that maybe the idea of working in an icecream shop was the worst idea Steve Harrington had ever convinced her into doing.
because not only did she have to wear a hat that made her look like a fool, and say some stupid line over and over again she dealt with the sound of loud teens and children all day.
the cold freezers that had almost taken her life multiple times from their shitty locks, and the miserable washing of dirty and sticky dishes left behind from customers.
but the best part about it was she worked along side her friends and she got paid to basically scoop ice cream and retort cheesy pirate lines to each of the customers who came and went.
"hey dingus! can you get a barrel of vanilla from the freezer" she could hear robin yell from the back of the shop as she leaned against the front counter with a cash register in front of her.
the shop had been dead because it was only nine in the morning and not many people wanted ice cream at an hour like this. Even if the hot summer air of Hawkins was buzzing about them.
the hot air that had melted y/n on her way to work because she still couldn't afford to fix her air conditioner in her car that had broken many months ago.
since no one was in the shop or merely even passing by the shop she stepped away into the back to see Steve in the freezer.
he was burying himself while trying to keep the door open so he hadn't locked himself inside the freezer again, if it weren't for y/n and robin he would've accidentally killed himself.
he would've froze to death and been one with the ice cream
she held open the metal door for him so his foot could fully step into the freezer and grab a fresh barrel of vanilla because when they closed last night they forgot to replace it.
y/n yawned a little and closed the freezer door behind steve before she followed him out into the front of the store where he took the empty barrel from the cooler and placed the new one in.
"you get any sleep last night?" he asked and watched as she shook her head and tossed away the empty ice cream bucket.
"why not you've barely been sleeping these past few days, everything alright with you doll?" he could see the way she shrugged it off before finally responding when he gave her the look.
"just insomnia you know the usual of not being able to sleep" she pushed it away from her mind before taking a rag and wiping down the outside glass to the cooler to try and ignore his questions.
"you try those sleeping pills yet?" he watched her roll eyes and continue to wipe over the glass to which he knocked from the other side to get her attention so that she’d just look at him.
“i tried a few, but nothing works it just makes me feel like it’s impossible to get some sleep even just an hour or two”
she figured the issue would probably resolve itself or atleast she hoped it would, ever since the demo-dogs and the upside down came into her life she had acquired the unwanted insomnia.
not that she had nightmares but it was just like she could never could god damn sleep no matter what sleeping pills or meditation she tried, she even tried drinking so much caffeine to try and reverse it but instead it had caused her to stay up for two days straight.
nothing ever had seemed to work for her, well the only time she had ever gotten a full 8 hours of sleep after she grew her insomnia was the night with steve.
when he had spent the night at her place because he was absolutely blasted drunk and it was safer than having him drive home, maybe it was just because she felt safe knowing he was safe.
she was exhausted and she was waiting for each and every minute of her shift to go by so she could get some shut eye.
or atleast try to.
-
“y/n why am i here, it’s 11 at night? besides you should be getting some sleep for tomorrows opening shift” Steve asked as he slipped off his coat and left it on her couch.
she was standing there in her pajamas giving him a shrug because she didn’t want to admit it, she only had him there for the comfort and well when the sleeping pills didn't work he had become the last resort for her to get some sleep.
“talk sweetheart, you don't have to get shy with me"
“i need you to help me fall asleep, i just can’t no matter what i try to do” she finally spilt out and watched as he smiled a little at her.
“of course on the couch or your room, i can sleep on the floor with maybe a couch cushion or two?” he spoke and watched her shake her head as he followed her into the bedroom.
“sleep on the bed, my best friend doesn’t deserve to sleep on the floor or on my couch besides we don't need your back hurting for tomorrows shift” she huffed at him and slid in the bed,
she watched him slip off his shoes along with his socks.
he pulled off his sweater and was left in an undershirt, he undid his belt for a little more comfort and stripped away his socks.
he slid in next to her and laid straight flat on his back and stared up at her ceiling, she had a lamp on steve’s side,
“can you turn the light out please?” she asked and watched his hand reach over to pull the string that connected to the light bulbs switch.
“anything for my girl” he remarked and now it was dark in her room but he still laid in the same awkward position as he did.
“i’m sorry if this takes a while insomnia can’t be cured by having a you in my bed Harrington" she retorted playfully and felt the awkward feeling of his body shifting in the bed.
he could feel her toss and turn every few minutes and he started to feel a little ache in his heart knowing she couldn't sleep.
his hand rubbed her back a little and he felt her body slightly relax a little into the gentle touch of his palm.
"maybe i'm just the magic you need"
-
they had been going at this for a week now, steve sleeping over at her place, trying different techniques to make her sleepy.
reading books, breathing exercises, lavender bath salts, a warm shower and even trying to sleep on the couch it was all just somehow useless to get her to fall asleep.
she looked over at him on the cushion next to her with a soft frown,
"i'm sorry i made you go through this, i figured maybe having a friend over would help me cure it" she admitted and watched him shake his head a little at her before he stood up.
"i'm gonna find a way to get you to sleep y/n, you need your rest especially if you're gonna work shifts from six in the morning until all the way til closing time" he set down the mug of tea he had and gestured for her to take his hand.
to which of course she did, with a furrow of her brow as he pulled her out of the house and into his car, she buckled her seat belt and looked at him with a soft sigh.
"we already tried a car ride stevey, its not gonna work besides its just gonna be a waste of your gas" she frowned and watched him start up the car and without even saying a word until they had reached the main roads.
"yes but you've never tried it at night, besides if it works than it'll be a miracle if not i'll stop and buy us some snacks and a movie"
she smiled at his response and started to gaze out the window at how he was taking an unusual path, he was now driving on a dirt road and until he stopped at a blank spot.
just where there were only a few trees that shot up from the ground and they could see the sky so perfectly and clearly.
"stars is your solution?" she asked and bit down on her lip a little as they both had gotten out of the car to take a look above her.
"you're obsessed with them, you always complain about the light pollution especially from the mall, so maybe this will help"
without even another word she wrapped her arms around him, even if she couldn't sleep she could feel her heart pounding out of her chest from how much her love grew for him.
he popped open the back of his car and sprawled out a few blankets and pillows for her, he had a blanket and pillow tucked in his arm for himself and it made her tilt her head.
"can you sleep back here with me? just in case a snake or maybe a bug crawls in here?" she gave him the look, the one he couldn't resist and it always made him say yes to her.
as he laid back beside her he let out a little sigh before he began to talk, "you know i read about light therapy for getting people to fall asleep, most of the time the colors can help calm the brain"
"okay dr. harrington" she retorted back with a chuckle watching a shooting star fly across the sky and the only thing she could wish for was that harrington got her a full nights worth of sleep.
she closed her eyes for a second before wrapping herself up in the blanket that her and harrington were now sharing, embracing in the heat of his body she could feel the gentle feeling of a kiss he had placed a top of her forehead.
-
waking up with a soft breath she turned to look at her surroundings back in her living room wrapped in a blanket with the smell of something coming from the kitchen,
steve still wearing his mustard sweater and a pair of striped boxers had a pan in his hand cooking a pancake as the coffee brewed.
checking the time y/n cursed aloud it was past their shift time, by the time they got into work they'd be an hour or two late. "steve we're late for work, robin's gonna kill us!" she cried out and watched him chuckle a little.
"we have the day off i called robin, besides new hires are coming in today anyways" he could see the relief flush over her and she folded her arms with a little smile across her face.
"how'd you do it? how'd you get me to sleep a full 8 hours steve?'' she asked and looked at him, setting the pan down and rubbing over the side of her cheek he kissed the top of her forehead.
"this was just the magic you needed"

Here's what may very well be in my opinion one of the most interesting pieces of "What Could Have Been" or "cancelled media" that I think could've actually been awesome. So here's everything that I was able to gather on it and it was a looooooooooot.
Originally back in 2011/12, Dwayne McDuffie conceived of and was looking to develop a Gwen and Charmcaster spin-off series which he mapped out a fair amount of it and actually planned it out through-and-through. But what ended up happening to throw it out the window was as simple as can be — Dwayne McDuffie died. Therefore it ended up getting replaced with the still polarizing Omniverse.
So let's begin, shall we:
The tentative title for the series or rather idea was "Where The Magic Happens", named after the Ultimate Alien episode of the same name. Ledgerdomain was to be one of the main primary locations in the spinoff.
It was to take place a week after the events of UA's series finale and pick up Charmcaster's storyline from where it left off with the episode "Couples Retreat". Dwayne McDuffie liked both characters so much that he thought the two could hold their own show together.
Ashley Johnson and Kari Wahlgren were obviously gonna reprise their roles but Gwen would've had a different look from time to time. As in sometimes she would be in her AF look and other times she would be in her UA look.
The premise was essentially gonna be this:
Gwen and Charmcaster were gonna become unlikely and hesitant allies who team up to protect Ledgerdomain and fight crime with Gwen deciding to use her powers to help others full on and Charmcaster doing whatever it can to save her home.
Tumblr media
A main plot point would've been Gwen developing a type of PTSD due to several things she's been through throughout the previous three shows, especially this scene from the OG episode "The Return". Being crushed by a tower as a child is giving her reoccurring nightmares that begin affecting her life only for Charmcaster to help her through it seeing as she owes it to her after "Where The Magic Happens" and "Couples Retreat".
On top of that, it would've also explained why the events of the OG Ben 10 happened coincidentally during the summer road trip as a sort of crawling out of the woodwork.
Tumblr media
One thing that was to be featured in this series were easter eggs and references to the events of other media that heavily implied a shared universe. For example, in-passing they were to bring up the T-Rex from Isla Sornia Site-B rampaging through San Diego back in the late 90s. Sound familiar?
Another thing is it's still unclear as to whether or not Ben would've appeared in the show as either a cameo or a full on appearance in an episode. So that's still up in the air.
As far as I can tell, a three part pilot was written by McDuffie along with a series bible as he pictured the show running for five seasons but so far nothing has been released. Understandably.
An interesting thing here is there was gonna be a flashback episode that would've been set after the events of "Secret Of The Omnitrix" where Charmcaster kidnaps Gwen from her home for one final confrontation.
Another juicy tidbit would've been a reoccurring villain that ultimately becomes the main antagonist as the show progressed - in this case, it's a pastor who develops dangerously unstable telekinetic powers after surviving a plane crash. McDuffie wanted Clancy Brown to voice him.
Other actors that McDuffie wanted for the show were Michael Jai White, John Lithgow, John Kassir, Geno Segers, Mae Whitman, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Morena Baccarin, Greg Abbey, Powers Boothe and Will Friedle. Cool.
One thing that was to play a major role was a large book that Charmcaster's written during her time in Ledgerdomain that chronicled the history of magic in the world as well as how the numerous alien races play a part in its creation.
Unfortunately here's the last piece of information that is available or I can find on this cancelled spinoff and it's a good one: Dwayne McDuffie wanted to have comic book-inspired title cards for the episode and he was eyeing Tim Jacobus as the artist to design them.
So yeah this would end up being replaced by the still very polarizing Ben 10: Omniverse and top it off, McDuffie passed away.
But it's still interesting nonetheless. Would any of you have loved to have seen this show.
Let me know what you think of all this.

Child of The Dreaming pt. 2
Part 1: Child of The Dreaming
Request from @fangirlmary: "Reader is a child who died in their sleep so Morpheus decides to adopt them as his child rather than have them just be a dream or nightmare. (Can be a one-shot or headcanon list)."
Trigger warning: Mentioned death
Platonic Paring: Morpheus x child!reader (Father-child relationship)
I changed basically everything about this after seeing the bonus episode
Sorry to everyone who wanted to be on a tag list for this update. I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
Morpheus stood in front of the youngest of the Nine Muses as she stared out the window,
"You came," The disbelief and relief were evident in her voice when she turned to face him as he stepped out of the shadows,
"You called,"
------------------------------------
"There you are!" Lucienne let out a sigh of relief when she found the child hiding among the stacks of books in the library, "I've been looking for you everywhere! You almost gave me a heart attack, Little One!" The child kept quiet and just pressed themselves further into the shelf they'd wedged themselves into.
Lucienne sighed. She knew the child was missing their father. Lord Morpheus may deny that he was and continually insist he just watched over them, but Lucienne knew better. He saw them as his own child like they saw him as their father.
The librarian sat outside the small barrier that had been made to separate them from the rest of The Dreaming and looked at the child,
"I know you miss him. I can promise you, he misses you just as much," They curled up tighter and pressed their head to their knees before asking a muffled question,
"Then why'd he go?" Lucienne sighed again.
The child was young, would forever be young, and hadn't fully grasped the duties that were placed upon their father's shoulders. And they had no inkling about his past. They'd felt their father's love since the first day they'd arrived in The Dreaming and Lord Morpheus had done everything he could to shield them from the darkness that rested in every corner of the universe. His past was no different,
"He was called by, an old friend of his, who is in desperate need of his help," She said, "He is the only one who can help," The child sniffed before nodding then slowly crawled out of their fortress and grabbed Lucienne's offered hand,
"Alright then," The librarian said while smoothing out (y/n)'s clothes, "We've got to get going. Cain and Abel are expecting us,"
"What about Goldie?" She smiled down at the child,
"Yes, Goldie is expecting us too,"
-------------------------------------
"You've changed, Oneiros," Calliope said as they walked away from the house she'd been held captive in for the last few years, "The one I was married to would've left Madoc to suffer through his punishment despite my wishes," The Muse glanced over at Dream.
Her former husband was silent for a long time before answering her unasked question,
"Many things were different when I returned from my capture. One of them has taken a large part of my time alongside my other duties, and it was something I never thought I'd experience again," Oneiros paused slightly which prompted Calliope to ask,
"And what would that be?"
Oneiros stopped walking, forcing the muse to pause her gait and turn to him. He was visibly hesitant to answer but eventually said,
"A child died while in my realm. Murdered by their own father. I've been watching over them since," Calliope was silent as she processed the information, which Dream saw as her being angry, thinking that he was replacing their son with the Little One, "I will not apologize for taking care of them-" "I would not expect you too, Oneiros," Calliope said,
"If anything, I would expect nothing less from you. You were a wonderful father to Orpheus, and you are no doubt a wonderful father to this child," She said, "Though you try to hide it for fear of being seen as weak, you have much love to give. You gave it to me all those years ago, and you gave it to our son. A child who wandered into your real would have been no different," Morpheus was still silent when they began walking again.
----------------------------------
In the House of Secrets, Cain, Abel, and Lucienne were sitting around the table while Goldie, who had grown to be about the same size as the child, was curled around the Little One as the two dozed in front of the fireplace. There was a gentle knock on the door that cut off the quiet conversation and Abel jumped up to answer it,
"Lord Morpheus!" He exclaimed, getting shushed by his brother and Lucienne while stepping back to allow the King of Dreams into his house, "Sorry! Sorry!"
"They've fallen asleep, my lord," Lucienne said while pointing toward the fireplace. Dream felt a smile creep across his face at the site and decided that it wouldn't hurt to let his Little Star sleep a while longer and sat at the table while the three caught him up with all that he missed.
In the middle of the conversation, Morpheus felt a gentle tugging on his cloak and looked down. His Little Star was awake, though still on the brink of sleep, and was trying to climb up into his lap. Dream carefully picked them up and let them curl into his chest.
Their fist gripped the edge of his coat as they fell back asleep and Morpheus kissed the top of their head while cradling them to his chest.
-------------------------------
Calliope's first visit to The Dreaming was in a few weeks, and while Morpheus was glad that the two of them were going to attempt to heal and grieve what they lost, he was also nervous. Lucienne had told him it would be best if he told the Little One why he and his former wife were meeting.
Which was why he was currently sitting in the meadow with his Little Star, watching them twist flowers into a small wreath. They were determined to make one that would fit Matthew,
"Did you eat a lemon?" Morpheus glanced sharply at the child who was staring up at him, "Your face is squished and it looks like you ate a lemon," They drew their face into a pinched expression and pursed their lips, no doubt mimicking the expression on Morpheus' face,
"No. I did not eat any lemons,"
"Then why is your face like that?" The King of Dreams sighed,
"I'm thinking,"
"'bout what?" They asked while leaning toward him,
"Do you remember when I had to leave The Dreaming?" A frown landed on their face,
"Are you leaving again?"
"No. But the person I had left to help is coming here," They looked up at him, "Her name is Calliope, she and I were close a long time ago. There are some things the two of us need to talk about,"
"Like what?"
Morpheus thickly swallowed, "We had a son. And we lost him,"
The Little One paused their diligent work on the wreath and quietly asked,
"Like how I lost my mom?" Morpheus nodded,
"Yes, Little Star. Like your mother," He sighed while pulling them into his lap, "Calliope and I felt anger toward our loss, and we turned that anger on each other. But when I left The Dreaming, we spoke. Our anger has been put aside, and we've agreed to have a chance to grieve properly for the son we lost," He felt the child nod while they hugged his arm,
"You're not mad anymore?"
"There is still anger that will always be there," The child tensed so he quickly continued, "But we are determined to not let that cloud our judgment anymore. That is why Calliope will be in The Dreaming, so that we may grieve Orpheus without that anger," Morpheus waited with baited breath.
His Little Star wriggled so that they were looking up at Morpheus before wrapping their arms around his torso and burying their face into his chest. He hugged them back and held onto them tightly before they pulled away and clumsily patted Morpheus' cheek before settling back against him.
The father and child sat quietly in the meadow, watching the butterflies wander by in the breeze.

Where I've been... (depression sucks)
Hello, to my followers and readers I just wanna say I'm so so so terribly sorry for not informing you of my whereabouts.
I'm gonna be blunt, I've been fucking miserable over the last year. My depression has kicked in full force and I'm so annoyed that all the progress I've made to get better seems to have gone down the drain. This has been due to multitude of reasons; college has been an absolute nightmare to deal with, my I feel like I'm failing at everything I do despite the work I produce. Working on multiple I.T projects at once is literal pain.
A close friend of mine also passed away which devastated naturally. We had the same first name and has been piller in my life, encouraging me to follow my passion and navigate through a world I had no understanding of due to being so closed off. He pushed my autistic ass to do things I would've never dreamed of, and some heart condition he wasn't even aware of killed him on his sleep. Life is so fucking unfair.
Which brings me to my third reason, I miss my mom. She passed away from COVID-19 nearly three years ago, caught it while working in a COVID-19 ward as a nurse for the NHS. She always rooted for me to do what I loved and was my biggest supporter in life and it irritates me that some virus cut her life so short. I partly blame the UK gorvernment for that. As much as I love my step mom, she can never replace her. I've tried so hard to get over her death, but I just can't...
So long story short, life has gotten really really harsh and I couldn't find the motivation to post anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't post ever again. You readers are so lovely to interact with and I hope to post more content for you to enjoy in the future to come.
I wanna thank the writers who have created some amazing stories for me to read during this REALLY shitty time in my life, you guys have talent that I could only aspire to reach someday. Here's just a few examples: @void-wolfie @lesbianpepsi @ajortga @cobaltperun @kaisacobra and many other writers.
And to the people who are only just finding out about me, welcome. I hope you stick around and read some of my content.
Feel free to message me or ask me stuff, I still wanna interact with you guys even if I'm not posting.
I dunno when I'll be back, but I will be. But right now, I've gotta go to therapy. Take care you lot. ❤️

It's strange to have this much autonomy. I've lost everything that made me better than most other humans. There's no metal in this body. My arm is back. The eye that, for me, was replaced, remains our better eye, which is quite nice. I can refuse to answer questions now, or refuse tasks given to me. I feel odd. This isn't what I made of myself. And without the dream that I was in directing my thoughts away from it all, I remember my life outside of it. I don't know how to feel about that. I functionally lived two lives. My year or so in that building never happened to me, really, but at the same time, it is the truest version of me to exist. I miss my friends. I never knew them. It's all a bit confusing. The dissonance would've been taken care of when I was still there. -Nightmare Gordon B, HLVRV. Tag as fictive, kindly.

nightmare blunt rotation propaganda incoming. first of all look at everyone in this picture and try to say with a straight face they're not trans. literally you can't everyone in this image is so trans its insane. from left to right we've got kian, who's second most defining trait is being pretty. you know who else is pretty? men and women, both of which kian stone is to me. she's bi everything. bisexual, bilingual, bigender. she's handsome. he's pretty. she's the woman of your dreams and the man of your fantasies, okay? then we've got Rand. first of all her she goes by her last name instead of her first name. you know who else does that? trans people who can't be openly trans and thus go by their last names so they don't get addressed as their deadnames. source: me. i did that and im the most trans thing in the galaxy. second, she's a led zeppelin fan and every led zeppelin fan i know of is trans. third, she's girlfailure coded. but even so, Rand is so Trans Coded that she could be trans in any direction. Transmasc? plausible. Transfem? plausible. Trans in general with no specific gender binary in mind? plausible. and then Rolan, who is the most not nonbinary-nonbinary character to exist. sure he goes strictly by he/him pronouns in canon, but who cares about CANON? this is a they/it/he individual who's only concrete gender identity is ENTITY. if it lived long enough to discover them, Rolan would've loved neopronouns. definitely would be a bug/bugself neo user. and finally, for the LOVE. okay first of all they all have been friends since they were baby kid children. literally childhood best friends to lovers trope with these guys. also they all risked their lives for each other. Rolan constantly put himself in danger to protect Rand and keep her alive, and then sacrificed himself on the SLIM POSSIBILITY that she could survive if they did. Kian's love for Rolan was so powerful that literally almost every line her monster-replacement had was some form of flirting directed towards them. Rand was angry when Rolan left her after high school because it was meant to be the two of them against the world and the only reason she wasn't angry with Kian when he left was because she knew he'd make something of himself, meanwhile she and Rolan were both uninspired and she found a special kind of kinship with him due to that. ALSO THEY'RE FROM A HORROR SERIES AND THEY'RE DOOMED BY THE NARRATIVE. EVERYONE LOVES DOOMED NARRATIVE LOVERS. plus they're weed guys and everyone loves weed on this website and also they're tragic gays, which is another thing this site loves.

Out of context drabble for my SB x FNAF movie au: time traveling ball pit
When his eyes drift off to nothingness, what he finds is nothing compared to what he expected to happen during a regular nights rest.
There, he sees himself in a small room decorated with posters that are familiar to him, along with being filled to the brim with wires, computers and mechanical tools. The person that is supposed to be him, looks younger than how he usually looks, possibly ten instead of twelve.
Gregory looks around the room, everything felt familiar yet he couldn't remember a single thing about it. It was just a sense that he was comfortable here. That he was safe.
Was this a memory? Was this how his room looked liked?
He goes over to a nereby shelf and picks up a figurine. It was a bear with a neon blue bolt on its chest and it was a black top hat . Seeing the hat reminded him of the animatronics at the pizzeria so he smiles then places it back on the shelf, but as he sets it down, a poster catches his eye. It was the fingerine performing on a stage but the words "Freddy Fazbear" was written in a retro-style font.
Freddy Fazbear. Huh. That's strange.
It was the same name as the one at Mike's job but the two were completely different in style and appearance. Was this a knock off? Or a rebrand? He never saw it before.
Now filled with questions, he takes a closer look at all the posters around, some had other animatronics in them but they showed no resemblance to the ones at the abandoned restaurant except for names.
What was this?
Then suddenly, his sleeping self began to toss and turn in the bed. Every few seconds, they flinch or lay on their side as if they were having a nightmare. Judging by the way his eyebrows were furrowed, it probably was.
He lifts his hand to try and wake him up but before he can even do it, the person in front of him suddenly sits up. They're breathing heavily and their eyes dart around the room as if they're making sure there are no monsters in sight.
Seeing a younger version of you, looking distressed like this was unsettling, and when they suddenly start to tear up, it became uncomfortable.
In his opinion, crying was a waste of time. He knows he's stronger mentally because if he wasn't, he would've been crying a river since he had no memories of who he is, but so far he's been pretty well composed and he planned to keep it that way.
Crying was something weak, and despite having no memories, he knew that it was something that wasn't supposed to be shown.
Yet, here was younger him hugging his knees and crying. Whatever he dreamed must've been pretty bad to get this type of reaction.
The kid wipes his eyes and runs to the door. He hears him call out a name, possibly their parent but he doesn't catch it.
He starts to run after him but upon taking the first step, suddenly all that was Infront of him was replaced with the empty pale ceiling. He reflexively covers his hands from the sunlight before he sits up.
----
Au where Gregory falls into a ball pit and ends up in the pizzeria from the movie, and to make things worse he has no memory of who he is and how he got there. This leads him to investigating the pizzeria to find a way back home and to get all his memories back.
Send me an ask if you want to learn more about it!

Okay, how about Trans Bryce Wayne, but she gets pregnant with Dick? Like she's hired as a surrogate for the Graysons and they keep in contact, showing her pictures and they tell Dick when he's around Bryce's age (when she lost her parents) the day before the Graysons themselves die about Bruce being his biological mother and maybe just happy ending with Bryce hugging her son?
Dick takes it better than the Graysons would've expected. He knows that no matter who gave birth to him, that they're his parents. Only to lose them the next day.
Or you could make it angsty and have him take it as a betrayal. That he's not actually their child. That their relationship is built on mistrust. And when they die the next day, he realises that the last thing his parents thought about him was that he hated them when that was the farthest from the truth.
Either way, the Graysons die and Dick is taken in by Bryce. She doesn't know that the Graysons already told him and feels like telling him now would be too much for him. Dick thinks that she's not bringing it up because she was only alright with his existence when other people were raising him.
The first few months of her taking him in are tense. They both just can't overcome the invisible hurdle between them. Bryce is caring and there for him completely but she doesn't want to replace his parents. And despite Dick not wanting to, he's getting attached too even though he thinks everything she's doing is just for show and not out of love.
It comes to a head when, because of a nightmare, Dick wakes Bryce with his screaming. He's tried to but he's still not good at muffling his screams and sobs. She asks if she can come in and when given permission, the first thing she sees is her son ward curled up fetal position and shaking. He doesn't know it but she's trembling too from seeing him in so much pain.
He's mumbling something when she sits next to him. She asks him to repeat himself and has to suck in a sharp breath when big, teary, blue eyes are turned on her with a trembling lip and flushed cheeks and he murmurs "d-did you ever truly want me?" And it all comes pouring out in a storm of tears, snot and sobs.
Bryce is stuck in some sort of limbo for what feels like hours but is actually seconds. To think that her baby ward knew that she gave birth to him and had been suffering in silence this entire time. That he believed that she took him in cause of everything except love. He didn't know that she had loved him ever since she had held him in her arms, covered in sweat and blood. That her love only grew with every picture sent to her by the Graysons.
She gathers Dick in her arms, similarly to how she once did, wipes away his tears and for the first time, she's completely honest with a person who isn't Alfred or her parents. She tells him that she has no regrets on taking him in, that she didn't know he knew about her being his biological mother, that she would've been in his life a lot earlier but her and the Graysons agreed that he would meet her once he knew the truth.
She also lets him know that he's under no obligation to see her as anything more than his caretaker. The Graysons were there for him and will always be his parents and she respects that. Needless to say, they end up with tears running down both their faces, feeling lighter and cuddling together in Dick's bed. Dick is still mourning and Bryce is still a new parent with a traumatised child but they're willing to work with eachother now.

"I actually get that you want to protect your sister's softness. I do. Lyra is a lot like her. She used to crawl into my bed when she had a nightmare - if anyone noticed her she would've been exiled by now. We're trained to be ruthless, the ones that aren't are sent back to their other parent. Which is why I always insisted on being honest about all the cruelties of the world. She insists on staying soft, but I do my best for her not to be weak and blind. That's how you protect the people you love in this world. Otherwise, they'll get badly hurt. Or worse." - Aeron to Malachai
❛Are you judging my way to deal with my sister?❜
❛Maybe a little.❜
Even though Malachai did not like being judged, he couldn't help but chuckled a little to his last words, especially when he showed a little space between his thumb and forefinger to show his point. Although the merman didn't expect it, he ended up by quite tolerating –would he dare say liking?– his brother-in-law. He wouldn't have believed it sooner, but Aeron quite understood what it was to be a prince with so much responsibility, since it was quite obvious that he was his mother's favorite, just like Malachai himself was his father's favorite. It was easy to talk about those problems with him, even though he didn't want to admit it, he tried to pretend he did it unwillingly, but people could see that the merman appreciated the fae, and vice versa, which caused some argument between Malachai and Nathaniel most of the time –the poor siren thought his brother was replacing him, which was completely wrong, but Malachai didn't understand the fear.
Malachai wanted to go for a swim, alone, and as an annoying little brother –now Malachai could actually understand Nathaniel's fear– Aeron started to follow him, probably because he'd rather be with the crown prince of the oceans than with his own brother, which the merman understood, the fae's family was terrible in any sense of the word. At first, Malachai ignored him, like he often did, but like often, Aeron, who hated silence, started to ramble about everything, and the subject of their little sisters came into the discussion.
As stated previously, Malachai did not like being judged, even more when it was about his siblings; since his mother's death, he was the one who had to deal with them, and so raised them because most of the maids and servants were too scared of Triton to discipline them all the way it should. But the problem was that Malachai himself was a teenager, sort of, at the time, and having to be a parent when you had no experience in the matter was difficult, especially when you're expected to train in combat and politics most of the time. He knew he did wrong towards his siblings, especially Calypso, who was still a child of Lyra's age when their mother died, but he hated to admit he failed his siblings.
❛Some people need tough love to understand things. I think your sister requires it.❜ Aeron advised which was very wise of him; anyone would think it was out of character for him to say such a thing, but Malachai knew by now that the fae was actually a wise man, he was just hiding it very well.
❛I know she does.❜ He admitted while sighing. ❛Trust me, I try my best, but each time I do, she shut-downs and refuses to talk until I apologize. I know I should have done it way sooner, but try to raise five children by yourself when you are just as lost as them.❜
Once again, Malachai sighed, coming closer to the shore, and so to the fae. He stayed in the water, for it was refreshing, and he always loved being a merman better than being a human –but who wouldn't? Looking in the distance, Malachai was lost in his mind, asking himself if he should explain better why he was so protective and loving with Calypso, or if this should stay a family business, but once again, Aeron was his brother-in-law, and therefore, even though it was hard to admit, he was family too.
❛She almost died, did you know that?❜ He suddenly asked which visibly was something the fae did not know and wasn't expected to hear.
❛We don't really talk that much.❜
❛She was born prematurely, and almost died. Ironically, she couldn't breathe underwater at first, mother was so scared, father was unbothered. She had to be brought to the surface. Father told me I shouldn't bother to know her name because she was dying anyway. He didn't want to see her, for at least six months. Saying, 'where is the point of knowing her? She's weak, I don't need a weak child.' But then, she got stronger. That's when she started to be interesting to him. In his eyes she had no chance to survive, so seeing her getting strong was... fascinating, I suppose. He liked her, or pretended to, I'm not quite sure with him. Made her the Realm's delight, which became stronger after she received her power. Everyone loved her, the people, the maids, all of us. She was a little miracle. Because she had such a weak upbringing, no one dared being too harsh with her, except Father, maybe. Oh, one maid tried, she got fired by father, and it became an example. After that, she was allowed to do what she pleased, no repercussion, although sometimes she got some from father. All of that to say; this is why she is so... soft and blind to the world's misery. We sheltered her too much.❜
It was clear, at Malachai's look, that these memories weren't the most pleasant he had. And maybe he shouldn't have told them in the first place, especially to Aeron, for it was an intimate matter between the Blackwater family, but a part of him thought that his brother-in-law should know why his wife was so sweet, and soft, and, at time, borderline bratty and selfish. Because she was never told 'no' before. Of course, Malachai did not know all his sister's life story, even though he thought so, he did not know yet about his father's dagger, and how Triton loved to stab his youngest daughter, and this was the reason she was out for days in a row.
❛That's... sad. You all let her get away with her behavior just to spare her feelings. Now look at what she is. Even my little sister has a better knowledge of the world than her.❜ Aeron started while struggling, visibly unbothered by what he just heard, or maybe he did not process all the words yet, Malachai did not know which version he'd rather believe, and the merman prince sighed and rolled his eyes. ❛You smother her too much. Like I said, she'll probably get badly hurt or worse. And that'll be on you.❜
❛She is already married to you, what worse could happen to her?❜ Malachai said with amusement which made Aeron rolled his eyes. ❛But you're right... That's why you're her husband. You tell her the honest truth, and I still stay the good guy, and I got to punch you sometimes. Everyone wins.❜
❛What am I winning in this deal?❜
❛You can be as honest and mean to her as you wish. Should be enough.❜
On those words, Malachai splashed Aeron with his tail, before going back for a swim, letting the fae prince all wet in the shore.

what was your inspiration behind monotora?
Since Rexx was the one to create Monotora, I've asked him to answer this question (everything below is what she's written):
When it came to replacing Monokuma for DR96 it took a lot of thought and planning on how we could have a character that can stand out to be a threat rather than something that's passive aggressive like Monokuma himself. Throughout the months of production they went through so many design ideas it was tough to find one where it wasn't too complex or it didn't fit in with the setting DR96 was taking place.
First one was done in around the end of September 2021, and originally they were going to be blue/dark grey - but I did not want to get any comparisons to Sans so I immediately changed them to a very desaturated orange/dark grey with blue eyes. It didn't really last long though since their colours felt like they weren't really popping out enough and were bland. I also went overboard with their markings so they needed to be simplified. (I would've shown what they'd be if they were blue but unfortunately it's been lost </3)
Tumblr media
Second concept was a little after in around early October 2021 for a reference sheet, they were still going to be bipedal and had a lot more scars on their body (except those were done as a deliberate design choice rather than something you'll receive in a fight.) They were more scruffy with an ear notch included and had an overbite, but this didn't really last long until I did another concept design for them. Around this period I struggled a lot when it came to designing them without stepping into the complex design boundaries.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third concept was originally going to be used for their splash art but I wasn't really fond of that pose and the yellow scars were so icky to me so then they were edited to be more fleshy coloured (as in a shade of red you'd get from freshly opened wounds) which leads to their splash art we used to reveal Monotora to the discord server during the announcement (which was drawn in November 2021 time) I was going through the period of learning to draw a lot of sharp teeth so the anatomy looked really rough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of these are really old and outdated but the most up to date version is what they currently look up to chapter 3, they have a more animalistic look and they're no longer bipedal. Generally they're really fun to draw and goof around with and it's been fun using them for DR96 :)
Tumblr media
I do have a list of characters/creatures that are main inspirations to fleshing out Monotora's personality and traits here:
Monokuma + Monokid; these two were mainly a guideline to starting off with designing a mascot for the killing game.
Doraemon; at the very beginning his design was Monotora's main inspiration but overtime things would've been changed or scrapped, however a few traits are still there such as Monotora being able to hid things in their stomach like how Doraemon can hide things in his little pocket on his stomach.
Nightmare Fredbear + Montgomery (FNAF); these two characters helped flesh out that 'threatening robot' kind of thing (Fredbears off-putting dialogue in UCN and Montgomery's temperament and determination to hunt you down in SB). A fun fact is that Monty's voice is my personal HC voice for Monotora lol
The indoraptor (Jurassic World); a pretty obvious thing from the indoraptor is it being built to be used as a weapon, Monotora has the capability of killing just like the indoraptor (only differences is that Monotora doesn't have the laser targeting system and they're smaller than the indoraptor). But generally Monotora gets their animalistic behaviour from this dinosaur. I've also seen a few people mention how Monotora looks similar to Mapleshade from Warrior Cats but she was never ever used for inspiration (which is surprising considering I have the books) LMAOOOO

THE COUNCIL OF TWELVE.
THE RUN DOWN:
Maiz rules twelve planets, all conveniently located within the outer stretch of North to West Galaxy. The most important ones to note are the Inner Ring*: Kokytus, Karosea, Gesh, Tun'l, Solemm, and Vaporr. Her kingdom/empire (whatever you wish to call it) is broken down into two sections-- the Inner Ring (which contains the first six planets also called Inner Planets) and the Greater Ring aka the Outer Planets (the other six).
Because of the position, location and neutrality of each of these planets, they're not under the jurisdiction (and thus, the protection) of the Galactic Patrol. The latter is required to stay anywhere from 50 to 100 feet away from all of the aforementioned planets' upper atmospheres.
Some of these planets like Kokytus, Gesh, and Tun'l are undergoing climate crisises because of Maiz. In verses where this storyline is attached to her, she's actually trying to do something about it-- not because she cares about the inhabitants, but because she cares about the aspects of Saiyan Culture she'd have to rebuild from scratch all over again. She'd view it as a waste of resources. It just so happens to have the side-effect of saving some of her subjects. Some and not all, because she's a believer in "the needs of the few vs the nameless many".
Some of these Races are dying out slowly underneath her. The Kokytans, again, as an example. They were not meant for fighting and in some threads, she will be looking for active replacements. They don't reproduce normally and their native diet was interrupted, which means she's been technically starving them. Adaptions were introduced too early/quickly and only a certain strain of them have shown capable of keeping up. If the amount that can adapt is less than what's presently available, they will ultimately die out within the next ten Earth years. Maybe less. Even after everything, these slaves are trying their best to prove their usefulness to her, to not be tossed away like toilet paper.
The creation of this network was and still is-- to first and foremost, preserve Ancient Saiyan Culture. Therefore, anyone criticizing the way she coped with the Saiyan Genocide, or the fact that she survived at all will earn her ire quickly. She didn't choose to survive but she's here and she doesn't care who has to suffer or die for it. She does this out of love, out of grief, out of loss-- she's never truly over it and it's quite easy to tell. Survival is a sore spot for her, because had she had her way, it would've been her who died and Bardock who lived. Or her mother. Maybe both. Either way, this is what she chooses to do, how she chooses to spend the rest of her days; building up a giant memorial spanning several planets for those she lost, for the next generation that will never come..... The most tragic part is she can't stop. She doesn't want to. If she does, she's forced to see the futility of it all. She'd see what a monster she became-- the same one that haunts her nightmares periodically:
SHE'S BECOME FRIEZA.

September—December 2003
The last time she'd been this tired, she was fifteen and taking her O.W.L.S.
After the interview with the Daily Prophet, everyone wanted to see the cure for themselves. They weren't allowed to enter the Department of Mysteries, of course, but Mel and Erick were now supervising the treatment back in St Mungo's and there were definitely more people in there than it should be. Mel had to usher them away, asking them for some consideration with the patients that had kept their conditions private and wanted to keep it that way.
She was taking Remus' treatment to Hogwarts once a month, she would go personally to make sure everything was in order. She was even considering sending a few spares so Pomfrey could have them at hand in case new students with the condition arrived. There would be no more children suffering the way Remus did.
Mel and Erick also decided to share their discovery with the world, it'd be part of the next edition of the standard book of Potions for the students on N.E.W.T. level in generations to come. Aurors now needed to know how to prepare it as well, since they'd certainly need it in case of an emergency.
The most difficult part, naturally, was getting the Morphy gene, which could only be drawn from a metamorphmagus' blood. It would take a long time to find a proper replacement, but for now, the generosity of wizards and witches had proven to be unwavering. Although to be honest, most of them didn't want to upset Mel. There weren't many metamorphmagi in London, but all of them were donating blood for the cause, enough to keep the ongoing treatments running.
It would also take a while before the rest of the world started to make their own cures. Muggles had blood donations all the time, and the wizards could quickly get used to it, but Mel was set on not asking for a bit of themselves every year forever in order to save others, she knew all too well the kind of pressure that could put on someone.
One night she got home completely exhausted, Mel had been standing for most of the day and her feet were killing her. Harry had left the kitchen light on so she could see once inside their home, he'd also left a plate of her favourite food in the oven and the young woman went to the drawing room to eat it comfortably on the couch.
Her gaze started to wander around the pictures hanging on the wall: Old, from before she was even born, less old, from her time at privet drive with Harry, and a few that could be considered recent, but they were actually from around five years ago, from her travels across the globe with Harry and her friends. She had a few pictures of Regulus and the rest of the babies, though they looked less and less with each passing year.
Mel didn't know why, but she felt like something was missing. It was similar to the time she'd broken the lifeline with Harry, a hole in her chest that didn't exactly hurt, but it made her unhappy.
Grey jumped onto her lap, he wasn't the same old playful kitty that he used to be all those years ago, but he'd always remained loving. The bell on his collar made a cutesy sound when he bumped his head against her. That made her thoughts click into place.
The house was too quiet. When Harry was awake during the mornings they would laugh out loud and talk to each other from across the hall, or yell when they were on different floors of the house— but he was so quiet when he slept now, no longer stalked by his old nightmares... she didn't feel their home's heartbeat in the dark.
The Flints house was always filled with the sound of little kids laughing, or Anne's soft voice singing while working in her office. If someone had told Mel years ago that Erick Flint's house would end up looking like a fancier version of the Burrow, she would've laughed.
Mel wanted a family. She'd ignored the feeling for too long and it was suffocating her. She wanted children and she wanted Harry to be their father. She chuckled at the absurdity of her anguish, but it quickly turned into something less cheerful.
What if he didn't want babies now? He hadn't brought up the subject in years, perhaps he'd discovered it was safer like this, or maybe he didn't want to die and leave a child fatherless as it'd happened to them, he knew how awful that could be. They both knew it.
Besides, after the news about the cure was published, some of the vilest werewolves started to send death threats to Mel, Erick and Daphne. Harry was worried sick and even though she was capable of defending herself, she couldn't help but feel that dragging an innocent child to the dangers she was always exposed to was a bit unfair.
She was aware of the risks and the possibilities she and her husband had while on duty, but death didn't scare her anymore— she was rarely afraid of anything now. It wasn't that she feared being lonely either. Mel simply wanted to live all the things Harry had narrated to her one morning after the war, cause they sounded like heaven on earth.
She was so overwhelmed that she didn't notice she was crying and now she could be heard from upstairs. She didn't hear the bedroom door opening, didn't hear the steps coming down from the second floor, and definitely didn't see a very scared Harry stumbling into the room.
He approached quickly, pondering whether if it was even a good idea to let her know he was there. A sting of frustration hit him, if only they'd put back in place the lifeline once he'd come back, he would've felt her distress sooner...
"Love..." he began quietly, reaching out with a hesitant hand. "Mel... is it a panic attack?"
Harry studied her actions: Mel was definitely crying, but it wasn't the frantic type of sobbing she used to experience during her attacks. It was similar to the way she'd cried while burning Dumbledore's body at the end of their sixth year.
It was a particular form of pain, Mel was grieving... but why?
Harry circled the couch and knelt in front of her, gently, he grabbed the food she'd abandoned beside her, placing it on the coffee table. He faced her once more, and slowly reached for Grey, who purred in his arms as soon as he lifted him.
"It's okay," he got up and sat next to her, the arm that wasn't carrying a cat reached out and rubbed the soft skin of her forearm. "What's going on?"
It was a question, but he wasn't demanding the answer. His voice was patient, and Mel felt vastly comforted by it. She dried her tears and sniffed, taking her time and trying to make sense of the mess she'd caused in her head.
"I love you," she began, "so much... I'm happy..."
Harry frowned, he put his arm around her and stroked her shoulder.  "I love you too," he said while she got closer.
"I didn't mean to wake you," she said hoarsely. "I'm sorry— you know how sensitive I get when I don't sleep much..."
Harry kissed her forehead. "You've been working a lot, take a week off." He then started to play with the tips of her hair. "That's not all, though, is it?"
In spite of the situation, Mel laughed a little.
"You know me," she leaned her head on his shoulder. "If I tell you, you have to promise you won't let the way you found me tonight change your mind about what I'm about to ask you."
"I promise on Aragog's grave that I'll be honest," he said jokingly. Mel glared at him and his smile faltered. "I promise, Mel."
She stared at him for a moment. "Alright," Mel took a deep breath. "I want a baby."
Harry stared at her blankly. "You mean one of our own, or..?"
She frowned. "Well, how else are we supposed to have one?"
"Adoption," he shrugged. "Or we could steal Josephine once she's born, you'll be the godmother anyway, so technically it's not a crime—"
"It is, very much so," Mel raised a brow. "Harry. I'm being serious, I want us to have a baby."
"Then let's have one," he retorted, a smile playing on his lips. "If you wanted a baby so bad it made you cry, why didn't you tell me sooner? It was your idea to wait!"
Mel pouted, burying her face in his shoulder. "It's just... a bunch of Greyback fans want to kill me— and you're Head Auror, you'll go on missions constantly, everyone seems to have time to build families but we barely have time to sleep under the same roof..."
"Well, yeah, but I can make time for this, you know that—"
"Yes, but I couldn't," she grumbled. "I prioritize duty before my own desires since I was fifteen and a baby's a lot of work— but Mr Greengrass says I can take a long vacation after this... and I think it's the perfect time for us to start trying."
"To get pregnant, you mean?" He asked, she nodded.
"You... still want children?"
"Definitely."
"Really?"
Harry frowned, but he was more amused than annoyed. "I was the one who mentioned them in the first place! Remember, when we were seventeen? What on earth makes you think I've changed my mind?"
"Well, it's been a while since we were seventeen... things felt easier then, don't you think? The world was full of exciting possibilities, now we're adults and—"
"And I still feel for you the same way," he replied. "I want you and a family. I think we're ready."
Her stomach did a flip, she wanted to hold onto him and never let go. Now more than ever Harry looked to her like a grown, dazzling knight in shining armour. She lifted her face a little so she could lock eyes with him. "D'you think it'll be scarier than the war?"
"Yeah," Harry grinned. "But I've grown fond of this kind of scary. It's the best kind."
"I think so," Mel hesitated, then added, "what about the dangers that might come? What if someone tries to hurt us through our children? I don't know what I'd do if—"
"I promise I'll keep us safe no matter what," he assured her.
"I don't want you to spend your life worrying—"
"If you didn't want that then you should've just let me die when we were fourteen," he quipped casually, but it didn't amuse her. "Mel, worrying means I'm alive. There'll be bad times and good times, so I don't think we should ignore the things we want just cause we're afraid of others."
"I... you're right," she sighed. "My father and your parents— and Sirius, would be upset if we did."
He kissed her briefly, it was gentle and loving. "Probably, but I'm not really doing this for them if I'm honest."
Mel kissed him again, but the gesture quickly started to grow in intensity. Suddenly she was on his lap and a very offended and sleepy Grey had jumped off in surprise, hissing on his way out of the room.
"Should we start trying tonight, then?" Harry mumbled against her lips.
"I'm tired," she responded but didn't break the kiss.
"You don't seem tired," he teased her, holding her waist.
"How about— we just do one— for practice?" Mel replied lowly. "And then we try for real tomorrow?"
Harry got up swiftly, carrying her in place as he moved towards their bedroom.
"Sounds good to me."

Mel had two weeks to rest before going back to work, then it was Erick's turn to spend time with his family. Neither Harry nor she had mentioned their plans to have a baby to anyone, it was something that felt entirely their own, and they wanted to keep it private for a while.
"I'm home!" Mel called.
To her surprise, she heard several voices coming from the dining room.
"Harry?"
"We're here!" He responded.
She walked into the room and found Hermione and Ron there: there was food on the table, and it looked like it'd just been served.
"Oh?" She smiled at her friends. "Are we celebrating something?"
"Nah, they just felt like coming over," Harry kissed her hand when she stood next to him. "We got out of work at around the same time and we realized it'd been a while since we hung out last just the four of us, so I invited them over."
"Is there enough food for me?"
"Quite insulting that you think I wouldn't cook enough for the four of us," Ron frowned. "Grab a plate and shut up."
"Sorry, sorry," she chuckled.
They'd been there for about an hour when Mel started to notice something was going on. Ron was quieter than usual, and Harry was smiling so much she almost wondered if they'd had some drinks beforehand.
"I love your house, guys," Hermione said in dreamy contemplation. "Even at night, it looks like straight out of a movie..."
"Have you seen the garden? Mum used to say gardening was relaxing, so I tried it out. It really is a fantastic hobby."
"You sound like an old lady," Ron teased her.
"Sometimes I feel like an old lady," she laughed.
"You haven't aged a day, though. You just got prettier," Harry grabbed her hand and kissed it a second time.
"That's sweet," Mel beamed, her hand going up and pulling at his short beard. "You've aged a bit, though."
Harry frowned, seizing her hand and moving it away from his face playfully.
"We have something to say," Ron blurted out.
Mel looked at him, and Harry's smile came back fully. "What is it?"
Her friends shared a look and then turned back to her.
"We're getting married," Hermione and Ron announced.
"WHAT!" Mel covered her mouth in shock. Hermione held Ron's hand, who smiled just as widely as Harry. "You knew!" Mel looked at her husband.
"Ron told me this morning, they got engaged last night," Harry smiled guiltily. "They wanted to tell us at the same time, but—"
"But Ron has no self-control," Hermione scowled, yet she couldn't bring herself to look angry. "I made them promise they wouldn't tell you. I wanted to be here to see your reaction."
"Well, you're looking at it!" Mel stood and circled the table to hug her friends. "I'm so happy!"
Harry also got to his feet and went to hug them, in the middle of the embrace, Mel blurted out:
"But where are you going to live?"
"Oh, I bought a house," Ron said.
"WHAT!"
"Been saving since I started working," he grinned. "Every galleon. It's a bit small, and in London since we both work in the Ministry and all..."
"It's perfect," Hermione said. "I would've liked to pay for half of it, but I found out this morning when Ron'd already done the whole transaction."
"I helped," Harry said cheerfully.
"I already told you," Ron rolled his eyes. "You can use your money to buy the—"
"But the house's already furnished!"
"Oh, well, my bad."
Ron smirked. Hermione swatted his arm lightly and he chortled.
"How about you pay the bills for the first four months, then we're even?"
"It's not the same amount of money," she frowned.
"I don't care, I'm going to marry you," Ron raised a brow. "D'you really believe I'm thinking about money right now?"
Hermione blushed deeply at his response. Coming from Ron, the fact that he was talking about money with so little interest just because he was excited about living with her, really said something about the shift in his world.
"Hang on, let's celebrate properly!"
Mel went out of the room and came back with a bottle of wine someone had given them when they'd bought the house. They weren't that fond of it, but it was the only fancy drink they had.
She poured four glasses and handed one to each of them, when she gave her husband his glass, he threw her a questioning look.
"You shouldn't..." he stopped mid-sentence, lowering his gaze to her stomach and looking at her in worry.
Mel wasn't pregnant yet, but she couldn't drink alcohol if she wanted to be soon. However, this was a special occasion, and it was only one night!
"We'll just wait a day before trying again," she whispered soothingly. "It's fine."
Harry nodded. For the rest of the night, the only thing they focused on was their best friends.

By the time Josephine Flint was born, Remus was a month away from finishing his treatment.
That November was slightly less stressful than the last, she still remembered how hopeless she'd felt after having no answers, and now, a year later, she was about to declare her uncle free from the burden he'd had to endure during his entire life.
It didn't mean she was living in bliss, though. She had been trying to have a baby for almost four months and still had none. She was so distraught by the possibility of having ruined her own chances to have a baby of her own that she ended up mentioning her worries to Harry one night.
"I don't think you've done anything wrong, Mel. It takes time..."
"Anne, Tonks, and my own mother had kids without even trying," she pouted. "Bill and Fleur had them on their first try— I don't understand, what is wrong with me?"
Her voice broke at the question, Harry quickly corrected her train of thought.
"We can't judge your body based on how others work!" He told her. "Don't do that to yourself. I won't allow it."
"Ugh, why is it always my lack of patience that gets me this way?" She groaned. "Fine! I'll sit and wait— I'll wait for years if I have to, and if it turns out I can't have them, we'll adopt one— I've made up my mind."
"That's my wife," Harry grinned.

Near Christmas, Mel's life started to get busy again. She was spending most of her time buying presents and sending cards to her friends, she'd even sent one to Dudley, they'd found out he'd finally moved out of his parents' house.
He'd sent them a letter to check on them first, and Mel thought it'd been a considerate gesture. Harry, willing to keep a civil relationship with his cousin, suggested they sent a card in return to let him know they were alive and well.
She was so busy with work and life outside the Ministry, that her habits started to get a bit unhealthy again. One morning she woke up feeling extremely sick, and she remembered that the previous night she'd eaten too little, so perhaps she'd starved herself to the point of dizziness.
Mel was annoyed. How could she eat like this, while feeling nauseous? She ignored it and left to work without eating, even thinking about it made her queasy.
When she got to St Mungo's she found Remus all ready to receive his treatment. They'd realized that the Morphy genes not only took away the transformations but also slightly regenerated the person's body.
Her uncle's hair was once again chestnut with no grey streaks in it, and the dark circles under his eyes had vanished. His skin seemed less dry and had a healthy colour instead of its usual paleness.
"Good morning," she smiled at him. "Uncle Lu, you barely look thirty!"
He laughed, even his laughter sounded livelier those days.
"You look good too, almost glowing."
"It's probably the sweat," she joked. "I've had the ugliest morning..."
Mel was trying really hard to keep her nausea under control when Erick entered.
"Professor Lupin, how nice to see you again," he smiled. "Hi, Mel, how's it going?"
"Good," she said shortly, taking deep and slow breaths between each word. "How's Josie?"
"Beautiful, the quietest one so far," Erick beamed. "Only cries about once a day."
"Great," she gulped.
"Mel?" Remus noticed her discomfort. "Are you okay?"
"I didn't have breakfast, that's all," she smiled tensely. "Sorry— I promise I'll eat something as soon as we..." she gawked a little, quickly placing three fingers on her lips.
"Daphne and I can handle your uncle's treatment," Erick said promptly, giving her a worried look. "You look like you're about to faint..."
"No— I'm not even hungry," she wished they would stop talking, it wasn't helping her. "Truly... I'm feeling a bit dizzy so I'll wait until it passes..."
"You ate something funny last night?" Erick asked.
Before she could reply, however, Daphne walked in carrying a bag of blood and the wolfsbane.
"Sorry for the delay! I ran into an old friend and I—"
Mel stared at the blood and gawked involuntarily. She put her hand over her mouth and stormed out of the place, finding the nearest bathroom and barely making it to the toilet. A moment later she heard Daphne calling.
"M'here!" She panted.
"Is everything okay?"
"Go back to Remus..."
"Erick's taking care of him," she brushed it aside. "What's wrong?"
Mel shook her head, she was shaking. "I think it was a bad idea to apparate without having breakfast— I've been feeling nauseous all morning, I couldn't eat..."
"That's strange," Daphne opened the door to her stall. "Are you sure you're not sick? Let me check you—"
"I don't want to distract you—"
"It's my job, Mel. Besides, if you walk around the hospital and turns out you're sick, then you could be stupidly spreading whatever it is you've got, so it's better to make sure it's just a bad morning."
Mel couldn't argue against that, so she let Daphne guide her into a room where she could check her properly. She asked her a few questions, then she stopped writing and looked at her.
"When did you say your last period was?"
"About a month or so..."
"Was it meant to arrive this week?"
"Dunno— I'm sort of irregular."
"You used to drink a potion to not have it every month, right?"
"Yeah."
"But you stopped drinking it?"
"Yeah, because—" she stopped and quickly continued before Daphne could notice. "Because I wanted to give my body a break."
"Right," Daphne eyed her weirdly. "Wait here. I'll be back."
Mel waited, when Daphne came back she was holding a small box.
"Your hand."
"What?"
"Lend me your hand for a moment."
Daphne opened the box she'd brought and placed a small pearl on her palm.
"I want you to close your hand and squeeze until that breaks," Daphne said without explaining further.
It was Mel's time to look at her friend weirdly, however, she followed the instructions and squeezed the pearl. As soon as it broke, a golden cloud of smoke came out of it, and Daphne gasped.
"Mel, you're pregnant!"
"What!" She opened her hand and threw the shell pearl on the ground. "What the hell is that?"
"A pregnancy test— faster than the muggles', even more accurate."
"I'm pregnant?" She inquired in a weird voice. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah!" Daphne hesitated. "Is... is that bad?"
"Are you joking?" Mel's eyes widened. "I've been trying for months! Harry's been so patient but I was starting to get so worried..!"
"Well, if it took such a long time is because of the potion you used to take— they tend to complicate things," Daphne explained, still covering her mouth in shock. "But you're definitely pregnant now!"
Mel squealed like a schoolgirl, she hugged Daphne and jumped around but stopped abruptly, afraid of ruining things. Now she didn't want to move at all.
"Oh, god, I'm pregnant," she gulped. "I have no idea of what comes next."
"Well, we should get you something to eat, and something else to stop you from puking that," Daphne began. "You'll need a week off, then you'll come back so we can start monitoring your pregnancy— don't worry, Mel. You're in good hands."
The young women went back to the room where Remus and Erick were, now Remus was picking up his stuff, looking happier than ever.
"Would you like to have dinner at my place this weekend?" The man asked the group. "To celebrate. I know I have to come back during the full moon to make sure it worked, but well, look at me, do I look sick?"
"Not at all, Moony," she beamed.
Erick stared at her for a second too long, a tiny smirk formed on his face and he stated:
"You're pregnant."
Mel stared at him in shock. "How d'you—?"
"Please, I've had three daughters," he snorted. "Anne's always throwing up the first trimester just as violently as you did. Besides, Remus said earlier— you truly have this look on you, red cheeks and all..."
"Is he correct?" Remus asked with a look of shock on his face. "Are you..?"
She would've liked to tell Harry first, but given the circumstances...
"Yes," she laughed giddily.
Remus approached her in two large steps and engulfed her in a fierce hug, kissing the top of her head.
"My little girl!" He exclaimed laughing. "I can't believe it! Does Harry know?"
"No!" She pushed him away gently. "I found out just now! Please keep it a secret?"
"Of course," Remus kissed her forehead and hugged her again. "Can't believe it... my girl... having a baby!"
"Can you take her home, Remus?" Erick asked, still having half a mind to keep it together. "Daphne and I will handle the rest of the patients for the day. Mel needs food and rest."
"Certainly!" The man grabbed her stuff and guided her out. "C'mon, I'll make you a cup of hot chocolate..."
At the mention her stomach grumbled, it seemed chocolate wasn't such a disgusting food for her at the moment.
"I'd love that," she sighed.
"Hang on!" Erick hurried to her side, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Mel looked up at him, they shared a knowing look. Somehow, they were always present in each other's life-changing moments.
"Congrats, Mel," he said with a tender smile. "You'll be wonderful parents. I'm actually a little jealous of the unborn child. They'll be real lucky."
Mel laughed without saying anything, she hugged him one last time before heading home.
