Guys, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw my exam grade… I guess I got the extra credit question right.

(The exam was in person, with no notes, one hour, a four-part exam with six essay questions at the end, and we had the hardest professor in the department. The mean for the exam was 84 and the low was 47… ) I feel like an academic weapon.

Funny note: when I finished my exam, I was one of the three students left in the room. I had memorized so much information that my essay questions became papers themselves, lol. So I walked up to the professor and handed him my exam, and I said, “Sorry, I think I wrote you a book.” He looked really confused, then saw my answers spamming pages and stared laughing. I honestly can’t believe I could recall all of that information.

okay i KNOW i said i’d go to sleep like a half hour ago bUTTT i just remembered something

i thought that stranger things was the first and only fandom i’ve ever written fanfiction for, but i just realized that that’s not true.

dear lord i can’t believe i’m admitting this publicly- when i was in 6th grade, i wrote a warrior cats fanfiction that i suBMITTED TO MY ENGLISH TEACHER FOR A GRADE

that wasn’t the only warrior cats fanfic i wrote, but it’s the only one i ever finished- and i have a physical copy of it, printed out, bound in a 3 ring binder, sitting on the bookshelf in my room.

sometimes it’s horrifying to look back on the past.

Can I just say how much I hate school?

And no that's not me saying I hate friendships or breaks. I'm saying I hate the fact we sit in a class room for around an hour, we then work in that lesson or we get work we need to do at home. Teachers tell us we can't go to the bathroom, teachers tell us we can't be excused if we don't know the awnser. They will force us to give an awnser even if you're scared of speaking. I'm saying I hate presentations, socializing, homework, tests and grades defining our worth!? If you get an F, a 40% or a 4 or however you're country grades a fail. It's a fail, you're seen as a failure who has not studied hard enough or is just lazy. This fail you need to tell you're parents, this is something you have to face and accept. A bad grade doesn't mean you're a failure, but school makes it feel like it does. I hate the fact we have to work in groups, I hate we need to do sports and I hate we need to talk to people. I don't in fact hate the learning part of school, I like learning new things that I find interesting. I just don't like anything that comes with it.
