This time it's Jonathan touching the non-resisting Count (to check for heartbeat and find the keys). And invading his safe space.

Indeed! And it sure is interesting, isn't it, that this particular change comes around directly on the heels of such events as: during the night Dracula wears Jonathan's clothes and leaves the castle. While gone he sends off a lying letter. In the morning Jonathan imitates Dracula's wall climbing and goes deep into the castle, where he uncovers more evidence of Dracula's true nature.

Funny how all these reversals are coming on so fast, huh. Dracula is performing a twisted and false version of the safe escape (clothes here not only representing clothes but also Jonathan being 'intact' and not changed into a monster, leaving the castle at all is pretty straightforward but heading directly to other people even more so) and reunion with his loved ones (communication as represented in the letter) that Jonathan wants so badly to achieve. Meanwhile, Jonathan himself is doing what Dracula wants to do: he's utilizing skills stolen from his companion (Dracula wanted to learn to speak without an accent and about English law/society from Jonathan) in order to invade their seat of power (the chapel/crypts here becoming London, the center of the British empire and symbolically of the modern age) and take what he wants from it (Jonathan fails to get the key but at least gets information; Dracula's goals are more blood and conquering a new land type stuff). Even the stolen/murdered child and mother tie in as well to Jonathan coming away with information in his journal. Dracula harmed people in Jonathan's guise and made him suffer the blame. But Jonathan's invasion of the crypt armed him with information that will be extremely helpful in exposing the vampire's weaknesses and thus save people from him(/harm him)... assuming, of course, that he's able to get that information to anyone. But amassing/sharing information is likewise the opposite of what Dracula wants. And they each act during the time of day when they are at their strongest and the other is weakened accordingly.

Jonathan is forced into passivity as a child is murdered next door to him. So next, he takes action... and Dracula is also relegated to passivity in a way. It's not as directly a result of Jonathan's actions in the same way (Jonathan didn't lock him in his box, etc.) but Jonathan choosing to act during the day kind of serves the same purpose here. And where Jonathan was previously forced by circumstance into enduring Dracula's invasive touches, now Jonathan is the one patting the sleeping (and thus 'resistless' - did you know that word's a contronym?) vampire down.

Even the fact that Jonathan wasn't able to find the key, and was frightened by Dracula's reaction into leaving... It's more of a stretch, but I kind of find that to be a parallel to Dracula never 'finishing the job' with Jonathan and instead putting it off because his reactions are too entertaining to stop. If anything it makes me even more convinced that Dracula hasn't drunk from Jonathan yet, because that would in some way be the equivalent of finding the key, and everything else lines up so neatly. But of course mileage can vary on that one.
