Fun fact about me.
I just continually rewatch the same old shows... often ones that were active when I was in high school. Shows I didn't get to watch way back when. Many of them I have never finished.
I was not allowed to watch TV in high school. So I seem to continue to be obsessed with pop culture from that Era.
Also some great Sci-fi shows. But I almost never never finish
Orange is the New Black... never finished. Restarted 3 times. Lea delaria. YUM
Buffy. -actually finished this once.
Firefly..... Finished this twice. Short.
Bones. Started twice? Didn't get very far.
My so called life. I did finish this one, several times. Helps that it is short and Claire Danes and Jared Leto, omfg.
Beverly hills 90210. Made it part of the way thru? Weird.
Desperate Housewives. Started twice, never finished.
12 Monkeys. Restarted. Never finished.
Vampire Diaries. Never finished.
Fringe.- actually finished this twice but really want to restart it.
Prison Break. Finished at some point, restarted this winter. Got stuck and had to pause.... ugg.
Criminal minds.... got to... S12?
The OC. Actually finished once. Restarted recently.
One tree hill. Started several times. Never get past s1 or 2?
Dawson's Creek. Restarted many times. Only finished once.
Supernatural. Obviously. And obviously haven't finished. Too in my feels on that one.
And the L word. Finished that one. Restarted many times, gosh. The Real L word. Didn't finish that one.... the new L word... Didn't finish. It is like torturing myself with all the people that aren't available around here.
Right now I am working on pretty little liars which is a new one for me... and trying to finish a couple of the old ones. So what do I do? Restart The OC, One Tree Hill & Buffy.

Whole Earth Stevia, Monkfruit sw w MCT powder
Jordan's skinny syrup: Caramel
Gluccomannon powder, less than 1 scoop
Blended with a frother.
Don't have a fun name for this one. Mount Caramel Monk?
Weigh in day is technically tomorrow. Today was preemptive. I feel thinner. I was hoping for anything under 226, which has been my fucking sticking point. I haven't been under this weight since 2002. I have hit 226 now 4 times. Once in 2010, and 3 times this year. I want to blow past this weight, just for my mental health, DAMMIT.
I thought yesterday went decided, except for the headache. That was rough.
First meal was ground beef & gravy... then I think I had some snacks. A pack of popchips and a mini kind bar. Then I had these low carb stuffed peppers- they were good but I am still working on that recipe, I think it could be better.
After work, I went to Ross to see what they had for skinny syrups. Not much. 2 bottles in the whole store. Well, fuck it, I snagged them.
Came home, did some things.
Mom wasn't hungry so I didn't have a "dinner". I did have this dessert, which was strawberries, cake artic zero, & a gluccie pudding I made last week that didn't set quite right.

Coffee Recipe: The Angry Canadian
Gingerbread coffee
Cinnamon
Cayenne
Gluccomannon powder "gluccie" - less than half a scoop
Maple Donut skinny syrup
Mix all to taste, I use a frother. I don't measure the spices. I just tap some in there until it looks good to me. Then I mix it and taste it and reblend.
This is making me so happy today. It is an utter delight.

The MLM hack list
Alright. So there are a bunch of MLM diet companies that make a shitload of money of of us and yet our obesity rates in developed countries are thru the freaking roof.
How many times have you gotten the messages on Facebook, Instagram or whatever and it's like: Hey girl, haven't seen you since high school, let's get coffee... OR... they just post the precopied message & ask about your goals, & proceed to add a flurry of hyperpositive social media messages, like my friend recently did to me.
Did anyone in high school like you? Not me! Do that screams danger from the start. I was horrendously bullied in elementary school. I was gone to a parochial school for a couple years so the only reason that I avoided constant bullying in high school was because... they forgot who I was.
Here are some ideas I stole from various companies, cheaper:
Herbalife: this company's stuff works, for 2 reasons- you replace 2 out of 3 meals with shakes. However, alot of people are not successful if they make their shakes at home and if they add in all the snack bars. People do, however, lose weight if they get their shakes from a "nutrition" shop. Why? Because they blend those shakes super thick with a metric shitton of ice & I think alot of them add sf pudding, which enhances the thickness. Also, you get an iced tea, normally with added fiber. So the answer is- you have 2 drinks that take a long time to finish AND give you added caffeine & fiber. So? Just do it at home: keep your shake calories low, make it extra large & thicker than a snicker, & follow with a caffeinated tea & add fiber to it. I like the herbalife brand but I order it off Amazon so I don't have to get the whole shpeel. Now brand has "prebiotic fiber" that is cheaper. There is also benefiber from Walmart. It is cheap, so why not?
Beachbody: you don't need to spend a billion dollars on protein shakes or meal replacement shakes. I do, however, love some of their workout systems.
Tai Slim: this company's great idea was the chocolate gluccomannon chews, I just didn't know ot at the time. I have tried to order it but have been unable to so maybe they don't make it any more. So my hack would be- the chocolate calcium chews, some gluccomannon tablets, & a large glass of water.
Modere: this company was all over tik tok & reels for awhile, while the reps were trying to schlep people into this scheme. The Golden Child was the liquid CLA chocolate, probably because it tastes like a chocolatey treat while it is actually a CLA supplement. CLA can be purchased at almost any health food store, way cheaper.
Plexus: the pink drink. More research needed on this, but I think it is just a fiber drink. Hack: gluccomannon powder & a Starburst all pink flavor packet.
Most of these companies often sell an associated "fat burner:" often something with caffeine, ecgc from green tea, etc. You can get something similar at a health food store for a fraction of the price. If you want something fancy, there is Ember from the Ambrosia Collective. Use the Google. MFINGCOO is a discount code that I think still works, but it isn't mine.
The other way these companies are successful is because they have a built in "tribe." Weight watchers, beachbody, herbalife-- they rope you into a bunch of meetings, calls, and online groups. A bunch of people are sharing ideas regularly and getting involved in their cultish antics. You can do this on your own by finding your own people. You can get your own seminars by watching a lot of youtube. Anything that focuses on reprogramming you to cook at home and eat primarily whole foods will probably work. Join free groups. Disregard anything outside of what works for you ( I have to ignore a lot of dessert recipes because they cause bingeing for me).
Lipozene: pretty sure this is just gluccomannon. You can find gluccomannon tablets way cheaper at a health food store. Walmart also was carrying a generic version.
Hydroxycut: pretty sure the active ingredient here is HCA? I don't have a bottle currently to look. But isn't HCA just garcinia? So much cheaper at a health food store. I personally cannot take hydroxycut, it makes me RAGE. I like, get upset and freak out at work, so I don't even think I am willing to try it again.
It works: I think the skinny coffee would be comparable to the "slim coffee," which was cheaper but seemed to be chromium. You can just pick up a chromium supplement... & seriously, you can just drink coffee. Don't add calories to it.
Apple cider vinegar gummies: Just take shots of apple cider vinegar. You can buy a gallon at walmart, it will last a long time. Play with shot recipes, you can do good girl moonshine (ala Trim Healthy Mamma), & use it liberally for dressing recipes.
L-Glutamine: don't remember the company, but this is available at more health food stores, not for $100 a container.
Maybe I have bought so much shit so you don't have it. Is there an MLM company I missed? 🤔 let me know and I will check it out for future posts.
Remember- whatever you do, stay safe. Research your shit. Focus on your daily habits and remember that what you are eating outweighs almost any supplement you could buy. Eat whole food, walk, have an exercise routine & stop expecting a 30 day result for a body that took you 40 years (or whatever) to create.
I definitely don't think the ozempic trend is worth the cost, but if there is no other way for you & you have the money, it is worth a shot. Just don't expect your insurance to pay for it. Many insurance companies are currently not covering it, and I don't really know if they should consider it.
Surgery? If there is no other way and you want to, go for it.
The way that these things work though, is by changing what you are eating. Period. These are all systems to change what you ingest and you can change what you eat for free.

I am still on Nomorbidity & Alkemi from the Ambrosia Collective. I have not found suitable replacements for them but I am also not looking hard, they have a reasonable price point to me.

Fake out dessert.
Jordan's skinny syrup mixed with nf Greek yogurt & gluccomannon.
With a drizzle of sf Hershey sauce & a chopped keto mousse Bar. Topped with cool whip.
... I think I should have used more syrup in the yogurt & somehow folded in the whip. I also think half a mousse Bar would have been enough.

Another sick day.
Made this pistachio pudding.
No recipe but basically blended a serving or so of nf Greek yogurt, a pack of pudding, water, monkfruit, & gluccomannon.
The whole tub is about 200 cals.
Dessert ideas- serve with pineapple bits, or as a pudding with the no sugar cherry pie filling I have.

Been distracting myself with hrh collection rant videos and an audiobook.
I am sick and don't wanna work.
I am going to a play tonight and dinner out at a new restaurant in town called protein house. I am very excited for a legit healthier option restaurant. 🙌

This was my dessert last night after biking. It was mildly flavored. I was trying for pistachio some-fucking-thing but wanted to try it.without adding pudding powder. 🍮
It was gluccomannon powder, pistachio syrup & monkfruit. No sugar cherry pie filling and zero cool whip on top.
It was fun to eat at least.

I have been up since 4 am. I had a monster and a pot of coffee.
My IF schedule is loosely like...noon.

Ginger is great for digestive health, or so I have heard. I bought it to go in a specific recipe.... then I lost the recipe. It is what it is people.

Craving management Strategy
Ok.... so I ate a bunch of bars last night, in the hope that eating extra calories would stop the yucky cravings. Reset back to factory settings 😃
Took 2 kinds of magnesium supplements, a tablet and natural calm.
Took half a serving of crave, which I cannot find anymore [so sad].
Read a book and took a bath. Tried for an early bedtime.
Slept late, past 8:30.
Morning strategy....
Morning supps- check.
Added L-Glutamine to my morning coffee mixture. (Which is normally brewed coffee, gluccomannon powder, and jordan's skinny syrup).
Took some fiber tabs, which I think I missed for a couple days.

Last Nights meals.
Leftover sliced chicken + spicy garlic, a portion of leftover hibachi leftovers mostly noodles, slice peppers + bleu cheese yogurt dressing.
Then I got dressed super cute (for me) and went to a Thanksgiving Eve church service. This is the first time in about 10 years that I have gone to a service. It is supposed to be gay friendly, so I went to check it out. The sermon was about stewardship and conservation. Odd that this would be the church service I would be drawn to, considering most of my reading this fall has had land and conservation themes. [Taylor Brorby Boys and Oil, highly recommend, especially for LGBTQ folx & Terry Tempest Williams "An Hour of Land." Also highly recommend for nature lovers] .
I then went with my girlfriend to Walmart to buy a TV. Hers broke a couple of weeks ago. I talked to my uncle while we were at the store. I stayed while while she set up the TV, and I had 2 sparkling waters while I was there. I didn't actually get home until almost 11 o'clock - I left shortly after 5.
When I got home, mom didn't want to eat so I basically had a snack of a Chobani flip (which was nice). I was still snacky and looking for something else to eat so I had a tub of sugar free jello.
I, of course, wanted other things but I told myself "no." It was too late to eat a bigger meal.
I woke up this morning quite a bit lighter than I have been lately! Wooooooooo!
The sad part is: Just in time for the big "day of eating."
Fuck.
I will have had 3 big meals, and that's just a little bit overwhelming. That's a lot.
That is alot considering the first meal revealed that I am a nervous Eater and which back for extras on things I didn't need because I needed to keep my hands busy.
I am so obviously in need of some connection/community and I have been trying to seek it out. I am grieving the loss of yet another lgbtq massacre. I feel too, that part of my eating problem is that I am literally home 90% of the time. Most of that time is spent alone, working. Or alone, cleaning. Mom doesn't conversate much sometimes. Can't track conversations so we don't really talk about much. She doesn't hear well and she doesn't remember well, so although she is here, sometimes loneliness can be a huge eating trigger.
I feel like just being out of the house helped me and it is non food time. So I am telling myself to do more of that.
But wait, celebrate!
245 today! Woo!
Right in time for a big eating holiday. I hate being so anxious and hating the holidays so much because of it. I hate having had dieted most of the years for holidays and missing out on all the yummy food. There were days when I was low carb that my sister's boyfriend would make me loaded bacon cheesy mashed potatoes to tempt me. I didn't break, but I think it gave me a Halo Effect when eating later. [Oh, I passed on the potatoes, so I can have this...and this].
The plan:
Make a healthy dish to take
Have a protein meal within the hour before leaving
Take some tea and/or ask them to make a pot of coffee if they don't have it on
Take nomorbidity before I leave the house
Take Gluccomannon right about when I get there.
Take a little of everything I want (science says you only really taste the first 3 bites)
Try to eat slowly. Smaller bites. Fork down between?
Ask questions, conversate.
Relax and enjoy myself. This day is not going to make or break me.
Take some holiday flavored sparkling water.
