Now, onto the actuall discussion...

So this started with my post about 99% of wolfstar fanart making Sirius look like a woman and how it is a gross fetishization of a queer relationship.

As a masc person who ships a lot of MLM myself, i have noticed that sometimes when i see a fanart of my fave mlm ship, one of the more femme one out of the couple gets portraied in a very femmine way, sometimes to a point of no recognition where it straight up almost feels like a gender swap fanart (and its not).

I usually kept it no mind as it wasnt that usuall and didnt really interest me (for example, i used to be a huge Loki fan a few years back and every time id see a hyperfeminized loki it would be a Thorki fanart, so i just ignored it cuz i dont ship thorki )

HOWEVER

recently i got into marauders and when i searched up wolfstar fanart for the first time ever, MAJORITY of it was portraying Sirius as a baby girl (hyper femme, to the point where it looked like a hetero fan art)

That is why i got fed up, bc before it was scarce but this fandom has a problem.( Like how is it a majority of fanart?? you ppl okay??)

SO, how is this a gross fetishization and queerphobic you ask?

Ive actually seen a lot of people talk about it back in 2020/21 and since then had a few conversations about it with my friends, bc im not the only one who noticed this.

There is this phenomenon of CIS and HETERO girls/women that obsess over gay relationships. They ship mlm characters, maybe desire a "gay bestie" (but not a lesbian one), or even would like to have a bi bf (with a perfrence for women ofc).

I noticed this but didnt know what it was. It wasnt until i heard other people talk about it and talk about some research and studies and so on, that i found out what it all was about.

It is because girls/women in this society and era strive to be seen as equal by their partner, want to be seen as an equal by their partner- emotionaly and physically and so on. And subconciously or conciously they know that they cannot get that from a cishet male partner, so they obsess over the fictive desirable world of a gay male love. (Male bc theyre not queer themselves and fantasizing about a sapphic relationship would be very fruity.)

And while all of that is understandable and valid and actually quite sad, it does not change anything about the fact that these people then go on and invade queer spaces, take away representation, selfproject onto one of the men in the ship to the point where they hyperfeminize him bc they dont actually want to see two men in love, they just crave what the gay couple has.

ps: if you do this and you do not identify as a woman/girl, i am very sorry if this made you feel invalidated and i need to say that this doesnt apply to you, queer ppl obsessing over queer ships is no problem at all and you are valid

SIMS 4- Bookstan Legacy Challenge

General Rules:

It’s a 10 generation legacy based on the characters and books;

Of course, spoilers from the books and sagas (Divergent, Folk of Air, Harry Potter, Magisterium, The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Heroes of Olympus,  Caraval, Once Upon a Broken Heart, Princess of Ash, Red Queen and The Maze Runner) are going to exist, you can skip the generation if you haven’t read the book;

If you are going to skip a generation, you can read the “Next Gen. Preparation” section of the generation you are skipping and swap it with the main “Next Gen. Preparation” section to be prepared for the generation you want, not the one you ignore;

Cheats are allowed for storytelling only;

Mods are also allowed, (for this challenge I recommend mcc command center, fairies x witches and maybe extreme violence);

The genders does not need to be the same as the character;

Not all the aspiration, skills and careers need to be max out, it will be tagged when you need and when you don’t

The worlds tagged in are only suggestions, you can change it;

Feel free to change the rules if you don’t have the necessary pack or for any other reason;

Generation 1 - Tris Prior (Divergent):

        Your parents are simple and altruistic people. Perfect examples of Abnegation, your faction. But, you're not like that, you're different, you're divergent. When your time comes, you choose Dauntless as your faction, and become a new person, a stronger person.

Traits: Proper; Perfectionist and Adventurous (they represent the three factions you could belong to as a divergent);

Aspiration: Fisiculturist (before the change to Dauntless, must be Friend of the World, but you don't need to complete it);

Career: Militar;

Skills: Fitness;

World: Willow Creek (there´are 5 regions in Willow Creek, each one could be one of the factions, but that's totally optional, only for immersion and storytelling);

Other Rules: 

Start as a teenager girl or younger;

Must have a brother;

Until you´re a YA, you must never look in the mirror and use gray colored and simple clothes

When you became a young adult, you should leave to Dauntless (now you can wear every clothes you want)

Complete the aspiration and maximize the fitness skill;

Must be betrayed somehow by your brother;

Next Gen. Preparation:

Sleep with an fairy a single night (you can use a spellcaster, vampire, use mods to create a fairy or only simulate it) and get pregnant;

Marry a human and have twins (one of then will be the heir, you can cheat for it)

Be murdered, as well as your partner, by the fairy you slept with, when the twins become toddlers;

Generation 2 - Jude Duarte (Folk of Air):

        Your parents were murdered by a mythical sim that kidnaps you and your siblings. You discover that your older sibling is a fairy, descendant from the guy that kidnapped you. He creates you to be a warrior, but a certain cruel prince torment your whole life. You wanted so much to be a soldier, but that is denied to you, so you become a spy;

Traits:  Self-Assured, Loner, Genius;

Aspiration: Leader of the Pack;

Career: Secret Agent and Politician (don't need to max it);

Skills: Motor (child), Charisma; 

World: Tartosa (the habitants must be fairies);

Other Rules: 

Start as a toddler;

Maximize the motor skill as a child and the charisma one.

As a teen, be bullied by the prince/princess;

Fall in love with a guy (cannot be a fairy), that at the end up marries your twin and leaving Tartosa (preserve this two, they will be important);

As a YA, enter in a club of spies called Marauders, with only 3 other sims, they will be your only friends;

When the cruel prince/princess become the king/queen, become your meneschal (enter in politician career)

Fall in love with bully, now a king/queen;

Be exiled

Marry the wicked king, and become the ruler of the fairies realm;

Next Gen. Preparation:

When your only baby is born (he must me a spellcaster) run of Tartosa and go to another world;

Be murdered, like your partner, by a evil wizard;

Generation 3 - Harry Potter (Harry Potter):

        Your parents ended up dead in a car accident. At least that's what you thought...  You discover that you are a wizard, and receive a letter to the renowned Hogwarts school of magic. Between that and living with your wicked uncle and aunt, you don't hesitate.

Traits:  Engaged, Hot-headed, 

Aspiration: Potion Master;

Career: Police (don't need to max it);

Skills: None; 

World: Anyone, but Tartosa and Willow Creek;

Other Rules: 

Start as a baby;

Must have a scar;

Be created by the twin of one of your parents, doing all the domestic stuff;

Go to Hogwarts everyday (Realm of Magic) as a teen;

Discover that you are famous when you go to the wizard world (cheat for it); 

Buy a wand, a broom and a familiar;

Learn all mischiefs spells and potions;

Complete the aspiration;

Have two best friends, a genius and a glutton;

One of the Marauders must be a traitor, the other two should be your allies. At least when they are alive (they have to be murdered by the evil spellcaster);

Fall in love with your best friend's sibling;

A war has to start

At the end of the generation, must have won the evil wizard in a duel;

Next Gen. Preparation:

After marry, have a single children;

Your partner must die in the wizard war;

After this, you create your heir as a normal human, hating and fearing the magic;

After dying, the evil wizard leave your twin, who try to revive him;

Generation 4 - Callum Hunt (Magisterium):

        Magic is evil. Wizards are evil. That was what your parent said. In your Iron Challenge, a judgment to see who is going to enter the Magisterium, you do your best to be denied, but that’s not what happened. You are accepted. So, you start to doubt whether magic is really bad

Traits:  Socially Awkward, Dog Lover, Clumsy;

Aspiration: Spellcraft and Sorcery;

Career: None;

Skills: Mischief and Pet Training; 

World: Anyone but the ones you lived before;

Other Rules: 

Start as a teen;

Maximize the pet training skill, and get at least level five in mischief;

Go to the Magisterium everyday as a teen; 

Use a wolf (dog) as you familiar;

Learn all the practice and untame spells;

Have two close friends, a proper and a perfectionist;

Don’t use wands or broom;

Fall in love with one of your best friends;

The other friend has to die;

Discover that your soul is the soul of the Enemy of Death (twin of the evil wizard that killed your grandparents), this will not change you at all, is just for storytelling; 

Use magic to bring your friend to life in other body (basically, bring him back and change his appear in cas);

At the end of teenagehood, go to the Britchester University (you can choose the subject, as well as your career); 

Next Gen. Preparation:

After marry, have a two human children (the oldest is our heir);

Abandon the magic; 

Leave to a poor world;

Die in a work accident

My Slytherin Skittles Post-Hogwarts Career HC:

(Slytherin Edition) (Gryffindor Edition)

Regulus Black-Potter was a spy for the order during the war. While he did get the dark mark due to his parents’ insistence, he quickly swapped sides when he realised that what Voldemort was trying to do. He was integral in discovering the horocruxes and tracked them down one by one with the help of Barty Crouch Jr., Evan Rosier, Dorcas Meadows and Pandora Lovegood (nee Rosier). While undercover, he was made by Peter Pettigrew who then proceeded to blab to the rest of the marauders about how Sirius’ long lost brother was on their side of the war. This greatly annoyed Regulus but it did help him rekindle his relationship with both his brother and James Potter, who publicly declared they were going to get married after the war. Once the death eaters were rounded up, Reg was offered a position as a potions master and NEWTS-level potions professor at Hogwarts. This was Dumbledore’s way of thanking him for his part during the war. He is notoriously strict with his students and as the Head of Slytherin House (a position he covets), he does not accept any form of blood discrimination. He has also started to rebuild the Black name, reinstating Sirius as the heir and helping with Grimmauld house’s refurnishing. He is currently furthering a movement against indentured house elves.

Barty Crouch Jr. always had a flair for the dramatics. Back in the war, he was known to use polyjuice to transform into others. This ability was what allowed Regulus and Evan to keep their cover while horocrux hunting. After the war, he channelled this ability into his one-man theatre (a production fully funded by his boyfriend sugar daddy Evan Rosier. He has rows of poly juice (bought at a discounted price from Hogwart’s resident potions master). Currently, he is very interested in introducing more muggle plays to the wizarding world.

Evan Rosier didn’t expect to become the sole proprietor of the Rosier vault after most of his family was sentenced to Azkhaban. He was truly at a loss for what to do especially because he didn’t have a cause he was truly passionate about like Reg and he didn’t really have any children he could splurge on like the Potter-Blacks. Luckily, his twin sister Pandora (who had been long dismissed by their family because of her gender and disposition) had a baby! So, he decided to reinstate Pandora and split the vault with her. After that, he decided to invest in Barty’s theatre endeavour (really, he had a hard time denying Barty anything). He is currently Barty’s manager, running the books for Barty’s every creative whim.

As the only skittles to enter the Order, Dorcas Meadows spent most of the war isolated from her friends. When she finally became head healer at St. Mungos, she was extremely sympathetic to many children of death eaters who were forced into the cause or were left orphaned after their parents were sentenced to life in Azkhaban. She eventually founded a mind healers’ department to help those who had experienced extreme PTSD due to the war. Her job keeps her extremely busy, especially because she is always making appeals to higher ups. Thankfully, she is married to a quidditch star with a huge platform. And, it doesn’t hurt that 2/4 of her best friends are from rich influential families.

As expected, Severus Snape is a potions professor at Hogwarts. He was extremely peeved that Regulus was teaching at a NEWT level while he was stuck teaching younger years. He is still quite upset at the marauders and can be extremely petty about how life has turned out for him. He can always be found scowling down the halls, annoyed that Lupin and Reg somehow outrank him in position. That said, he does love teaching, particularly finding errors in pre-existing texts and teaching his students safer ways to brew potions. He was elated when Regulus approached him with some potion help (though, he would never admit it). While he is still in love with Lily, he has started to let his unrequited feelings go a bit. This was mostly spurred on by Dorcas (another Slytherin half-blood) who reasoned that he needed to let go of his toxic feelings and learn to accept himself.

The premise of this fest is to write fics or create art about sapphic Harry Potter ships or characters based on songs by artists who are queer women and/or trans* (We understand that sapphic identities are not limited to cis women, so any character or artist identifying as sapphic is welcome)

This is an anonymous fest, so please do not talk about your ideas outside the fest discord server (we will have a discord server where you can discuss your ideas and works with other fest participants)

This is an eighteen plus fest (lying about your age to join the fest will result in a permanent ban)

We believe in DL;DR (don’t like; don’t read), YKINMKATO (your kink is not my kink and that’s okay), and SALS (ship and let ship); Kink shaming or bashing ships and/or characters will not be allowed.

We do not support or agree with the actions and words of JK Rowling; Any transphobia or other bigotry will not be tolerated

WORK GUIDELINES

Any fic with a sapphic character or ship from the Harry Potter universe is welcome (this includes all eras); Gen fics are also allowed as long as they focus on a sapphic character 

Works should incorporate their related song in a significant way (ie not just taking it for a title)

Gender swaps of non-female characters are also allowed (for example, Harry or the Marauders as cis women) but we strongly encourage fest participants to consider existing sapphic characters and ships before gender bending (please note that gender bending is different than writing an amab character as trans, and we would be ecstatic to see sapphic relationships with transfem characters)

Works must be at minimum 1000 words long; there is no max word count

You must submit a complete work (works in progress are not allowed)

Your work must be original (no AI-generated or previously published content) and cannot be part of an ongoing series (ie no prequels or sequels)

Dead dove and NSFW content is welcome, but all fics must be appropriately tagged (If you have questions about tagging please direct them to the fest mods)

We understand that life happens! If you need an extension or have to drop out, please let the mods know

PROMPTING AND CLAIMING GUIDELINES

In lieu of traditional prompting we will be collecting requests for certain songs and ideas for how to use said songs (you are not required to select a song/use an idea someone else has submitted)

Claiming will be first come, first serve and you may only claim one song at a time

When claiming opens, there will be a form to claim a song; You will be required to list between three to five songs in order of preference

Each song may only be claimed three times (This is to avoid oversaturation and make sure there are a diverse array of songs claimed)

For most of my time in the marauders fandom I would have said Remus & Lily, but recently I've been enjoying Sirius & Lily a lot, specifically in their relationship over the years and how it exists outside of her eventual relationship with James.

Aside from anything I find morally icky, I would probably never write cisswap within a story, as in they swap genders as part of the plot because of a potion or a spell or something. Or bodyswap, for the same reason plus the massive privacy violation. Not my thing.

“Oh, would you look at that,” Sirius said as Remus finished eating, holding out his wrist as if he was wearing a watch. “It’s time for Remus to abandon us again.” “We spend literally all of our free time together except for this.” “Not enough. We should be spending practices together, too. You were supposed to pick the trumpet with us,” Sirius said, referring to the day in fifth grade when they all chose what instrument they wanted to play. Remus decided at the last minute to choose percussion instead, causing a week-long rift between the two and starting an argument that Sirius would never let go of. Remus rolled his eyes. “Will you give it a rest?” “I can’t give it a rest! Why wouldn’t you want to be a trumpet?” “Because,” Remus said, standing up and gathering up his tray. “Why blow when you can bang?” And with that Remus made his way toward the exit, leaving Sirius’ jaw dropped nearly to the table and James and Lily collapsed against each other in laughter.

Genderbent Wolfstar!!

The gals were out for a bit of fun and collapsed on the grass outside the pub. Ree started freezing and Siri lent her her jacket even tho Ree already had a sweater. It doesn’t make sense, but this is Siri(us) we’re talking about. They don’t make sense.

Okay so a few headcanons I produced while drawing this. (I still don’t know what their names would be tho-)

Siri goes by she/they, pan. Ree is bi

Siri got a lot of her tattoos in a muggle tattoo parlour in London when she was underage. (They of course managed to seduce the employees and didn’t even have to show ID)

SHE ALSO DOES A LOT OF STICK AND POKE. She’s practiced on herself (the ‘stab me’ tattoo) and on ree (the heart on her thigh). Jane got to try it out as well and gave Siri a beautiful little autograph (jane pot-er)

Yeah I guess that’s it heheh. I HAVE A CRUSH ON BOTH OF THEM AHHHHH

A/N: Sorry that I switched the gender orientation, but it was pretty fun to write about something that I personally have more knowledge on!

It wasn’t an unusual sight for you to swap out the school assigned pleated skirts for the slacks provided only for the boys. The professors had long since given up reprimanding you for not following dress code, and no one could say that you didn’t look damn fine sporting them.

Even when you cut your hair into a shorter version of Sirius’ signature style, it hadn’t surprised a single person. Anyone who’d spent an adequate amount of time with you over the years had grown use to your constant complaints about the trials that came with dealing with long hair, so you finally doing away with it was inevitable.

The black boxer briefs that came into view as you removed your slacks later that afternoon however, were in fact new.

All three boys halted their own disrobing as they each noticed the new choice of underwear; They stood frozen and transfixed as you tossed your shirt into the growing pile of clothes, leaving on only the briefs and a matching sports bra.

“These are a new number.” Sirius commented as you approached his spot spralled out in the middle of his bed. He crooked a single finger under the fabric around your thigh before letting it snap back into place.

“Hm? Oh, yeah. I asked my mum to send me a pack by owl. Do you like them?” You asked, hovering above his lap, your knees sinking into the duvet beside each of his thighs. Busying yourself by slowly carding a hand through his silk smooth locks.

“You asked for them?” James questioned coming up behind you, mouthing at your right ear and neck while palming your sides.

“Mm-hm.” You answered simply.

“And why is that, hon?” Remus asked, slipping into the space behind Sirius.

Biting your lip, your brain spun in circles trying to work out how you wanted to word your next sentence. But it proved difficult to think of a way to adequately deflect and change the topic while James and Sirius were busy turning you into jelly between them.

So the truth just sort of slipped out, “ ‘cause I’m not a girl, Daddy.”

“You’re not, sweetheart?” James hums thoughtfully into your neck.

“No.”

“Are you a boy like us then, hon?” Sirius asked ghosting his lips against your own so gently, purposefully brushing your noses together to get you to giggle.

“No, Daddy. ‘M just me.”

“Just you, huh?” Remus smiles and you can’t help but mirror it back with a nod.

“Yup!”
