Day 10 ~ Promises

Your promises throughout the years of childhood, teen hood and adulthood.

Age 10

“Hey Shouta please promise me that we would get married if both of us is still single at 40.” You begged the ten year old boy smiling at him softly as he chuckled. “Hey what about me.” Hizashi exclaimed shocked you didn’t ask him for something like that. “Sorry ‘Zashi but I have known Sho longer than I have you so he is meant to be my husband.” You explained to the blond ten year old boy causing him whine that it is only a year difference that you have known Shouta longer.

“Ok fine but don’t come crying to me when Sho is married.” Hizashi teased you with a grin causing you to blush. “Well now I am going to come cry on your shoulder when Sho is married and I am not. I am going to cry so hard you would have no idea what to do.” You teased right back knowing it probably won’t happen.

“Whatever.” Yamada muttered to himself. “Please Sho do you promise me.” You asked the boy who has been quiet for a while just watching you and Hizashi bicker. “Okay fine Y/N/N.” He started. “I promise if both of us is still single then we can get married. And if you are married then I will just marry ‘Zashi.” He said with a smile causing you to let out a squeal and a giggle.

“Hey what makes you think I won’t be married then.” Shouta just looked at the loud blond in silence causing you to chuckle. That chuckle turned into a loud laugh as Hizashi mumbled about you both being jerks and he won’t marry either one of you when the day comes to it.

Age 18

“Wow can you guys believe we graduate tomorrow. We are finally going to be the heroes we have been dreaming about for ages.” You started tearing up causing both of the boys to chuckle. “Now don’t go crying on us Y/N. We promised each other we won’t cry. You know if you start crying then I will start crying and you know how uncomfortable Shouta gets.” Hizashi teased. “Shut up.” You whispered causing the first tear to fall.

“I am not crying I…” you started. “Okay fine I am crying but I am sad what if we don’t see each other for a while. What if something happens to one of us and the others can’t be by their side.” “I promise you this Y/N if one of us ever gets hurt we would drop everything and go that persons side okay no matter what.” Aizawa said pulling you into a quick hug causing Hizashi to whine that he is being left out. Chuckling you pull Yamada right into the middle of the hug.   

Age 22

“Promise me that if one of us becomes a billionaire we will share the money.” Hizashi asked with a smile at you and Aizawa. “Stop making these stupid promises.” Aizawa grumbled into his coffee mug. “Oh come on you grouch just because you haven’t had your nap doesn’t mean you have to be like that. We like making promises.” You said pushing him lightly in the booth you have been sitting at for the last 30 minutes.

“Yeah well that one is plain dumb how are we going to be billionaires with teaching jobs and underground heroes not seeing much of people.” He says quietly. “Come on man that is only you. I have three jobs I could become a billionaire if I wanted to. And Y/N has her own hero agency, she is likely to become a billionaire before me too. And not to mention she is in the top 10 hero rookies to watch out for this year and I bet you next year she is going to be in the top 10 of the hero billboard.” Now that caused you to blush.

“Really you think so?” you asked with a big smile on your face. Before Hizashi could answer he was cut off by a little girl. “Excuse me are you the hero Blue Nova.” She questions you with a toothless smile. ‘Oh my goodness.’ You thought causing your heartbeat to triple. “Hey. Yes I am. What I help you with?” you smiled at her. “Can I please get a picture and an autograph. It’s for my older brother he always say he loves your hero work. He is sick so I thought if I showed him this he would feel better.” She said pointing at the picture you had taken last week for the article about Top 10 Hero Rookies To Watch Out For This Year.

“Of course I can.” You said taking a photo with her smiling the biggest smile you could muster. “Ok what is his name?” you questioned. “Satori. He is your biggest fan.” She said with a grin. Causing you to grin along with her.

“Thank you so, so much for this I am going to give it to him immediately.” She said waving before turning around and walking towards her mother. “See.” Hizashi said talking for the first time in a while. You just blushed and Shouta felt him heartbeat rise. ‘Wow she is so beautiful. How have I never seen that before.’ Shouta thought smiling at you before going back to his coffee.

Age 23

“Come on let’s go on this ride.” You said pulling Shouta towards the giant wheel. “I have always wanted to go on it but nobody ever went with me because they say it is boring.” You pleaded and Aizawa just nodded with a smile walking forward to stand in the queue with you. “Shit Y/N are you okay.” Aizawa asked as he watch you fall down and all you could do was laugh. “I’m fine I’m fine.” You said still laying on the ground laughing. “Geez you are so clumsy.” Sho muttered as he helped you up.

“Okay let’s go.” You said prolonging the ‘o’. And Aizawa just shook his head smiling at you softly when you weren’t looking. After a 15 minute wait you could finally go onto the ride. Getting into one of the balloons all you started to feel giddy. “I am so happy you agreed to come with me Sho. It really means a lot.” You smiled at him before the ride begins and up you went. ‘No problem Y/N/N.’ Aizawa thought staring lovingly at you when you looked out onto the carnival below you.

Quickly turning his head as he see your head move in his direction. ‘Wow has he always been this handsome. I wish I could just kiss his stupid face.’ You though looking at his side profile. Shaking your head you turn back to the view on your side. As you stopped at the top you and Shouta both looked at each other with grins. Laughing quietly with one another. Slowly moving your heads towards each other. “Can I kiss you?” he whispered softly and all you could do was nod with a blush forming on your cheeks.

As you continued to kiss the ride started moving and you pulled away from the kiss. Heavily breathing Shota just smiled at you taking your hand in his. “Wow.” You whispered. “We have never done that before.” You continued. “Wow indeed.” Shouta agreed with the same small smile on his face. “Y/N” “Shouta.” You both said at the same time causing you to giggle. “You can go first.”

“Y/N I have had feelings for you for the last year and I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need to know if you feel the same or is it just me.” He said looking at you nervously. “I love you too Sho. I wanted to tell you earlier today but I just didn’t know if you felt the same and I didn’t want to ruin or friendship over something so trivial as loving your best friend.” “I love you.” He said pulling you back into the amazing breath taking kiss from before.

Stopping at the bottom all you could hear was Yamada screaming as you and Sho pulled away from each other to get off the ride. “When did this happen? How come you haven’t told me your best friend? How… what… when…where.” He said in one breath.

“Calm down ‘Zashi. We just confessed.” You said causing the blond to shriek. “Did you have a top of the ride kiss?” he questions looking for all the details. Aizawa just nodded and Yamada gave another shriek causing people to look at you guys. “Come on let’s go speak somewhere private. I don’t want all these people looking at Y/N. She is in the top 30 heroes after all.” Shouta said pulling you and Hizashi along with him to a quieter area.

Age 28

“I promised, didn’t I?” Shouta said smiling at you before turning back to the wedding officiant. “You made the same promise to me years ago.” You whispered back causing him to softly giggle. “Now I believe you prepared your own vows.” The officiant said smiling at your both causing you to nod. “If you would do the honours.” The officiant said to Aizawa.

Letting out a deep breath he started. “Y/N I have loved you from the moment in that café with that little girl asking for a photo. I promised I would have married you if we were still single by 40, thankfully it happened a few years earlier.” He said causing the guests to laugh. “I promise I will love you forever. I promise to look out for you when we are busy with work even though you in the top 5 heroes.” This caused you to giggle. “My dreams at night are reflections of all the amazing times we have spent together and for the adventures that still awaits us.” He said with a shy smile. “I promise to stay by your side loyal till the day I die.” He continued and tears started to form in both your eyes.

“Shouta I have loved you from the moment you helped me up when I fell at the carnival.” At the mention of the fell he let out a laugh along with Hizashi who was there as Shouta’s best man. Married to one on you best friends from your agency and maid of honour.

“I promise to stay by your side through thick and thin. I promise to cherish and love you forever. I have never been more certain of a decision than wanting to spend the rest of my life with you. When I look into your eyes I remember all the times we have spent together and that is a reminder of just how lucky I am to be with you. Every day I wake up falling in love with you even more and for that I will be forever grateful.” You finished with a tear rolling down your cheek.

“Now for the rings.” The officiant said with a smile. “Y/N/N with this ring I give you a token of my love and as my promise to stay loyal to you and love you forever.” He finished putting the ring on your finger. “Sho with this ring I give you a token of my promise to cherish you forever. To love you, to grow old with you till the day I die.” You finished putting the ring on his finger. “Now with the power vested in me I pronounce you man and wife you my kiss your bride.” The officiant said.

Shouta pulled you to him giving you a kiss he has been dying to give you since last night. Wrapping your arms around his neck he dipped you down causing your friends and family to cheer all around you. As you pulled away from each other you blushed at the look in his eyes. “For the first time ever may I introduce you to Mister and Misses Aizawa.” The officiant said loudly and the crowd cheered again.

How literal with these prompts do I have to be?

Interpret them however you like, in whatever kind of AU/scenario, as long as it follows our rules. Make them all G-rated/E-rated, happy/tragic, fluffy/gory, or anything in-between!

Do you allow early/late posting?

Please do not post anything early, the mod will not be checking  the tags until the start day of the event, with one exception.

On June 9th (a month before the event starts) we will have a sneak peek event. Tag any work with #hashimadaweek2023sneakpeek  on Tumblr or Twitter and we’ll reblog it! (You can also @ us too on either platform.) Again, this is 100% optional and if you share a sneak peek, you are not obligated to finish/post the work for the event itself. This is just for fun!

Late posting will be allowed by two weeks until the end of July.

For One Creature's Sake (pt 2 of 2) P1

Even monsters need love, don't they?

PSA in my AU the Ghost Project timeline is much earlier. 1969-1972, 1996--ongoing.

2001

Primo lately had taken on a sallow gray color. The veins radiating from his white Infernal Eye were black, angry, twisting across his face and down his neck and arms like cruel lightning. When Brother Copia had visited him Primo was either boiling hot and soaked with sweat, or nearly frozen to the touch. A few months ago Primo had climbed into bed and since then he had not gotten up on his own.

“Primo?” Copia put on a cheery voice, walking deeper into the room with a tray of food and fresh flowers. “Primo, I’m here! Coming closer.” He narrated his actions, since recently Primo confessed he was losing his sight too. He carried the tray carefully across the room, resting it on the side table. “Lunch, soup and a half cucumber sandwich. All from your garden of course. It’s still doing well. Shall I…shall I help you up?”

“I would like that,” said Primo. He coughed and stirred. Copia pulled him up by the shoulders, adjusting the pillows behind him. Today Primo felt clammy but not uncomfortably so. The man grunted his appreciation, settling into his new upright position. “How are you today?”

“I should be asking you that.” Brother Copia gave him one of his shy smiles. He was a mousey, lanky young brother of sin in his mid-twenties, with a weirdly elegant ski-slope of a nose and a soft smattering of freckles. His fingers twitched excitedly as he spoke. He replaced the wilted flowers on the bedside table with new pink fluffy peonies from Primo’s well-tended garden.

Primo coughed a laugh. “I don’t change too much from day to day. You said there’s soup, sandwich?”

Copia brought the tray to Primo’s lap and cut small pieces of the sandwich for him, putting them in his hand piece by piece, chattering with the older man about the random goings on in the Ministry. What the new gardener was planting, Terzo’s latest weird project. If Sister had finally killed Nihil yet (she hadn’t). Copia carefully helped ladle soup into Primo’s mouth and showed off his little sling bag strapped across his chest.

“Rat carrier. It was crocheted as a gift for me,” Copia explained. He moved the tray of dishes away, and helped Primo wipe his mouth. “By Sister Alice.” He opened the drawstring and a black rat’s head emerged, its nose twitching. Copia scratched the creature’s cheek and it let out an appreciative squeak.

“Oh yes, and how is she?”

Copia frowned and he hoped Primo didn’t notice. “I'm afraid we're no more,” Copia muttered. “She…um…said it was her, not me. I don't really know what that means.”

“You’ll find the one,” Primo said, smiling. “Who do you have with you today, Copia?”

“Aramis,” said Copia. He placed the large black rat in Primo’s lap, guiding his hand to rest on the soft glossy fur. “The largest of the brothers.”

“He is quite a big one!” chuckled Primo.

“He eats Porthos and Athos’ food constantly,” Copia sighed. “But it makes him too sleepy to get into trouble, so it ah…all evens out.”

“You used to be so terrified of rats.”

“I don’t remember ever being scared of them.” Copia watched Aramis in Primo’s hand with fatherly pride. “They have little hands, how could you be afraid of them?”

Primo laughed aloud, and Copia gave him a confused look, but joined in. They shared a few moments of mirth before Primo’s hoarse laughter petered off into rattling coughs. Copia grabbed Aramis, who was fleeing from Primo’s lap, and dropped the rat on his own shoulder. He brought a cup of water over to Primo, helping him drink.

There was a tense silence. Copia pet Aramis, and the rat’s soft fur and happily twitching tail calmed him. But the lingering dark cloud had settled in on their afternoon.

“Secundo is now Papa Emeritus…and it seems like Terzo will be next.” Copia swallowed. “You don’t think Sister would um…would pick me for the Ghost Project, would she?”

“And why not? You have exceptional musical talent, Copia.”

“Yes, but…erm…I don't…I worry—”

“You don't want to end up like me,” Primo interrupted, a sarcastic expression on his face. “Maybe by your time you'll be stronger. More prepared. I lasted longer than the other three before me.”

“Three in eighteen months,” Copia whispered. “One died halfway through a set.”

“And I got through five years,” Primo said. “Some of the greatest five years of my life.” His chest swelled with air, and it seemed like the veins across his body throbbed painfully. “If I could meet my younger self and tell him all that I have accomplished, he would choose the same fate for himself. I assure you.”

“The Ghost Project is…something. We’ve never seen anything like it.” Copia sighed. “Expensive, volatile…dangerous.”

“Yes, it’s the most Papa Emeritus has channeled the Void in centuries. But Sister has a plan. Sister…” Primo turned his head away from Copia, his near sightless eyes distant. He was always terrible at lying. “Sister knows best.”

Copia cleared his throat, changing the subject. “Did you want me to read to you this afternoon? Where were we in the book?” Copia pulled a thin paperback from the side table drawer.

“Frankenstein's bride,” said Primo, his face cracking into a weak grin. “At least I remember that much.”

Copia smiled back, nestling Aramis in his lap. The huge black rat curled up and started to snooze. Copia opened the book, flicking the pages to where they left off. “Ah, yes, this is the monster speaking here… ‘If any being felt emotions of benevolence towards me, I should return them a hundred and a hundredfold; for that one creature's sake I would make peace with the whole kind! But I now indulge in dreams of bliss that cannot be realized. What I ask of you is reasonable and moderate; I demand a creature of another sex, but as hideous as myself; the gratification is small, but it is all that I can receive, and it shall content me…’’ Primo?” Copia caught his breath in his throat. “Primo, did you…fall asleep?”

“I’m here,” Primo replied. “I'm just…thinking.” He let out a rattling sigh. “Even monsters need love, don't they?”

“Of course.” Copia pet Aramis, smiling. “They need love most of all.”

Primo laid his head back, presumably staring up at the ceiling. It seemed like his mind was far away. Copia's earliest memories was of Primo’s broad smile, his good humor, his laughter. But one day Primo had stopped. Copia distinctly remembered moments where even his child brain felt that something inside his father figure had died. Some gray shadow faded the smile, some occurrence broke a piece of his heart off within him and it had painfully rattled there, trapped ever since.

“I'm sorry, Copia,” Primo finally said, his voice creaking. “I was miles away. You can keep going.”

Copia nodded, settling in. “Well then the monster continues. 'It is true, we shall be monsters, cut off from all the world; but on that account we shall be more attached to one another.’ “

“I think that is enough,” Primo muttered. “I’m tired. I cannot think about this.” He held out his hand and Copia took it.

“I’ll come by tonight, for dinner? We can finish it then.” Copia carefully herded Aramis back into the pouch, closing the drawstring. He stood up, placing his hand on Primo’s shoulder. Primo looked up, finding his eyes. Copia’s heart dropped but he managed a crooked smile.

“That would be excellent.”

“Would you be interested in coming to my organ practice tonight? If you are up for it.” Copia lowered Primo back onto the bed so he could get his afternoon nap in.

“I will see how I feel. I can have the nurse open the window. I can…sort of hear you play from here.”

“Right,” Copia said, wincing. He started backing away. “I’m leaving now. I hope you rest up. I…I care about you, Primo. Like…like a brother. Like a son.” His stomach turned. The slackness of his father figure, his adoptive brother as he lay there in bed felt like an ill omen. Something in him turned on, dark thoughts lapping at his feet like the encroaching tide. I need to prepare for this. One day Primo won’t be talking back.

He closed the door, and pretended he didn’t feel like the sound reminded him of a coffin lid.

June Of Doom - Day 6 to 10

I’m a bit early for these days but idk when I’ll found some time to post them so, here we are, @juneofdoom‘s prompts 6 to 10 !

6 - « You're doing great »

Compared to the rest of the troop, Lucien generally acted like a spoiled baby, struggling to defend himself alone, relying on the ability of the other members of the group to ensure his survival. But gradually, he was developing certain reflexes and when Draugr were about to strike with their icy blades, the young Imperial was able to quickly ignite them with his spells. It was almost getting scary. But it made Inigo smile with all his fangs, who never stopped encouraging Lucien.

7 – Bite

Remiel smirked as she wrapped Lucien’s bleeding hand in a linen bandage.

"You told us you were good with animals, Lucien."

Lucien emitted a small cry when the Breton added a bit more pressure to the wound.

"I usually am, but I didn't imagine that puppy would try bite my hand off."

She rolled her eyes with an audible sigh.

"It was a wolf, Lucien ! Even if it seemed fluffy and friendly it's a beast, not a dog ! And it probably has rockjoint and Mara knows what other disease ! Anyway, you should ask Xel to brew you a potion." (102)

8 - « Breathe, damn you ! »

The ice they were walking on had been weakened by their recent horker hunt. Sinister creaks were heard under their feet. Worried, the meat-laden group quickened their pace. More creaks, followed by a surprised growl and the sound of something falling in the water, and Inigo had disappeared from their field of vision, caught by a hole in the ice. The Khajiit could fortunately be quickly fished out but he remained unconscious, and no longer breathing.

Kaidan rushed to try to ressucitate him and between abdominal compressions, whispered between his teeth :

"Breathe... Breathe Inigo, damn you!" (97)

9 - Sprain / Defiance

He HATED werewolves. They smell like wet dogs, are tough to kill and you can't make them dead thralls. And they run fast. Xelzaz has sprained his ankle and was limping while trying to kill the Vargs who chased him. Dodging his fireballs, one of the pack sprinted towards him and and knocked him down brutally. Xelzaz looked up at the beast towering over him, with its lips curled and fangs showing, ready to bite the Argonian's head off.

"What are you waiting for, Doggy? To drown me with your drool? Or suffocate me with your breath?", Xelzaz asked defiantly the werewolf. (104)

10 - « Can you hear me? »

The fireball exploded right next to her. Remiel felt the intense heat before being knocked to the ground by the force of the thundering explosion. Her body was relatively protected by the armor she wore. The Breton will undoubtedly receive bad bruises. But she felt dumbfounded. Everything was blurry, everything was distant. So far away that she couldn't hear the battle that was still raging in front of her.

After a little while, she was shook on the shoulder. Nebarra.

He had been talking to her for two minutes, yelling, "Can you hear me ???".

She didn't heard him. Nor anything. (102)

Interpret   them however you like, in whatever kind of AU/scenario, as long as it   follows our rules. Make them all G-rated/E-rated, happy/tragic,   fluffy/gory, or anything in-between!

Do you allow early/late posting?

Please do not post anything early, the mod will not be checking  the tags until the start day of the event, with one exception.

On June 9th (a month before the event starts) we will have a sneak peek event. Tag any work with #hashimadaweek2023sneakpeek  on Tumblr or Twitter and we’ll reblog it! (You can also @ us too on either platform.)  Again, this is 100% optional and if you share a sneak   peek, you are  not obligated to finish/post the work for the event itself. This is just  for fun!

Late posting will be allowed by two weeks until the end of July.

The alarm blared out and you reached across slamming your hand down in an effort to stop the obnoxious sound filling the room. You groaned and tried to untangle yourself from the strong arm wrapped around your waist. As you tried to move away, the grip around you tightened and pulled you back. “10 more minutes Y/N” Bucky murmured against your shoulder, placing a delicate kiss on the exposed skin there. Letting out a sigh, you admitted defeat and pressed yourself back against the solid warmth of his chest.

30 minutes later you dragged yourself away from your boyfriend. You were going to be late if you didn’t hurry up. You showered in record speed and were pulling on your dress when you spotted Bucky watching you with dark eyes from the bed. His hands held behind his head and a smile plastered to his face as he watched the show. Bucky wasn’t a morning person, normally preferring to stay wrapped up in bed for as long as possible. But this was too good to miss, he loved seeing you flustered. Ignoring him, not wanting to be drawn into something you couldn’t finish, you glanced at the clock. “Shit” you groaned, you were definitely going to be late.

“What’s the point in being the head of your department if you can’t be a little late once in a while?” You shot him a dirty look. “Bucky, you know damn well why. I have a presentation today.” He shrugged casually, not a trace of guilt. You rolled your eyes and walked over to him, leaned over and kissed him. Without breaking the kiss, Bucky dragged you onto his lap. You let out a shriek against his mouth and hit him on his flesh arm in protest. He laughed at your feeble attempt to escape his grasp. “Bucky let me go, you’re going to get my dress all creased” you growled at him. Finally, you wriggled free, grabbed your laptop bag and headed for the door. “Love you Y/N.” You turned on your heels, shot him a sarcastic grin and flipped him off before slamming the door behind you.

The day past in a flurry of presentations and meetings. You were the head of the technology department at SHEILD and worked with Tony in developing new tech that can be used by the team and the agency. Today you had been presenting a new wearable camera with AI technology that could call for assistance etc without the wearer having to speak potentially revealing themselves to potential targets. When you glanced at your phone as you were leaving work you saw a text from Bucky.

Emergency mission with Steve. Back in a couple of days. Love you. B xxx

You quickly replied and headed back your empty shared room. Today had been exhausting, so much so, that as soon as you kicked off your shoes, you collapsed on the bed and fell fast asleep. The next couple of days went past in the same vain. Bucky sent you a couple of text updates and told you that he was going to be back late tonight. You tried to stay awake for his return, but work had been so full on you just couldn’t keep your eyes open. When Bucky returned, he stripped off out of his suit, had a quick shower and silently clambered into bed next to you. You didn’t even stir as he wrapped his arms around your body and pulled you against him.

The next couple of days were hectic to say the least. Every morning when you woke, Bucky was asleep. He looked so peaceful that you didn’t want to wake him. Your schedules were so full that you hadn’t actually been awake in each other’s company in nearly a week.  Sure, you would wake up entangled in each other’s arms but it was no substitute for proper conversation or physical contact. Sunday arrived and you found yourself working overtime on modifications Fury had requested on the camera design. It was just you and Tony working, all the other staff had been allowed their weekend. You longed to see Bucky awake for once but Tony had other ideas. Bucky too had been constantly on call with missions and training new recruits. Your phone beeped and you drew it out of your pocket.

Afternoon session called off. I’m in our room. Pull a sickie PLEASE!!!! I miss you. B xxx

Excitement bubbled in your stomach. “Tony, I can feel a migraine coming. I will come in early tomorrow and finish up.” Tony glanced at you concerned. “Sure, no problem, feel better Y/N.” It was too easy. You had to physically resist the urge to sprint out the room and along the corridor back to your room, back to Bucky. As you opened the door you were immediately swept up in a pair of strong arms. Your legs wrapped automatically around Bucky’s hips as you both attacked each other lips. Mouths rediscovering each other after what felt like a lifetime. After minutes you pulled away from him gasping for breath, if Bucky wasn’t still taking your weight, your knees would have given out. Bucky peppered kisses along your jaw and neck, sucking a mark onto the sensitive spot just above your collar bone. “I missed you” you hummed into his ear. “Missed you more” he murmured against your neck.

He carried you over to the coach and sat down. You rearranged yourselves so that you were laying between his legs with your back to his chest. Your fingers traced over his arms he had wrapped around you. He placed a kiss to your head. “If this carries on we are going to have to schedule sex.” You joked tilting your head up to look at Bucky. His eyes had darkened slightly and he licked his lips. “Well my schedule is free for the rest of the afternoon” he winked at you. You turned in his arms, your chest was now pressed against his, your fingers knotting into his hair as you pulled his mouth towards yours. “Not any more it isn’t.”
