Raihan; J, P & W (Fluff Alphabet)

Jealousy: Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Raihan is not a stranger to getting flirtatious attention from people, whether it be on social media or out in public, even, due to his status and a large media presence.

So he’s aware that it’s something that will likely happen to you, as well, and he of course trusts you with everything first and foremost.

And yet, despite the extremely high levels of trust, he’s easy for others to provoke into jealousy, whether it be intentional or not.

After all, you’re one of the best things that’s ever happened to him, and so the dragon tamer wields a slightly possessive streak; terrified of losing you to anyone else.

Flirty comments on their own without continuation towards you are a given, and a slight ‘eh…’ for him. He gets them too and as long as they don’t bother you, he’s fine for the most part; it may eventually build up over time as he keeps noticing them, though, and this results in frustration that others are eyeing his s/o that needs to be vented through giving extra attention to you- like a reset button.

Casual compliments and nothing more are obviously okay, too; The comments themselves are things he’ll agree with 100% of the time anyway.

He’s pretty good at dealing with minor jealously, capable of pushing it to the back burner and maintaining normal behavior (maybe a glare or two) despite how much he may want to duke it out with someone who says something a bit suggestive. But if they don’t keep pushing it, he’s likely to keep himself at bay.

The moment he notices that someone is coming onto you and they aren’t backing off, especially if they’re making you uncomfortable, he’s over to protect you from them if you need it. This begins with passive aggressive gestures; an arm slung over your shoulders or around your waist, regarding them with a raised eyebrow and casually joining the conversation to chase them off.

If the flirts towards you are in compliment form, he’ll agree and express how lucky he is (he will also do this on social media comments if people get brazen) and kiss you on the cheek/forehead/lips in front of them, all the while staring them down. He can get pretty sly and you know it, too.

They won’t get many warnings beyond this point; he can get hostile quick and is pretty competitive. If he needs to get confrontational and more aggressive from that point, he absolutely will for your sake. If you get confrontational or annoyed towards them before he does, then he’ll absolutely join you if it’s still necessary. He will literally scare them off without hesitation.

Confrontations really get on his nerves and he’s likely to remain annoyed and touchy for a little while after one.

Once away from the public eye, he’s likely to hold you close and shower you with affection for a little while, just to rebuffer. Losing you, even though it’s an extreme fear of his, isn’t something he’s that up-front about and he’ll otherwise act normally.

He mayyyy pout a tiny bit and complain about how bold they were, who do they think they are?

Maaaybbbeee he’ll comment about battling them and how he would’ve completely whooped them, too.

Tiny bonus headcanon: Though he doesn’t actually get jealous over this, he isn’t past clearly playful comments about you paying attention to his Pokémon; “Can’t believe Flygon’s getting more attention than the great Raihan right now..”

PDA: Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

During the beginning stages of the relationship, the relationship status itself was temporarily concealed to avoid the typical stresses that come with a ‘celebrity’ relationship. (Though all the pictures with you on social media and the captions were a bit of a hint in themselves and people were suspicious and theorizing anyway.)

Of course the other Gym Leaders were among the first to know, though, and also the first to deal with constant comments about how great and amazing you are. Raihan was over the moon for you and he didn’t hide it from them.

In fact, a few of them even helped the two of you get together- Melony gave the best advice in that department by far.

But the moment the two of you were forward about it to the public, that’s where he still remains with it. He’s still over the moon for you and doesn’t hide it now.

He isn’t a complete and utter showoff, per se, but if you are a topic of conversation and the opportunity is provided to him he could probably talk about you for ages.

Like a permanent honeymoon phase; you captured and are retaining his adoration.

Tying right into that, he isn’t too shy in the PDA department, either.

Nothing over-the-top for obvious reasons, but holding hands, little kisses, hugging, etc are all in the picture and he doesn’t give it the slightest second thought.

They’re all qualities of a relationship- why should he be shy about it? Doesn’t really see the point behind it.

No matter what it’s always clear how much he loves you, and there’s no rocket science behind it.

Wild Card: A random fluff headcanon.

When Raihan spends quality time with you, he does all he can to make it as enjoyable as possible; he spends time with you in style. The thrill-seeker in him in always seeking to go beyond the norm, and that doesn’t just apply during battle.

Of course, he enjoys lazy nights inside too. If you’re with him, any time is a special time; but there are many instances where he enjoys going the extra mile and making these special times with you unique in their own ways.

For example, a lazy movie night would on occasion become a movie night in a tucked-away part of the Wild Area, involving a thick white sheet, one of Hammerlocke’s outer walls, a projector, a million blankets (seriously, a lot-), curry ingredients, and ample space for your teams to play or just watch the movie with you.

Your teams get to choose the berries and ingredients for the curry on these occasions; and based on each Pokémon’s unique taste in berries, it makes for some… interesting… curry. Some disagreements may need to be settled.

You two will always decide the movie together, but trying to get him to watch anything comparable to a soap opera, dramatic romance movie or a chick flick is an adventure in itself.

Despite protest he will secretly get into it, though. You can comfortably bet money on that.

And by the mid-story of the movie, he’s completely invested in the characters and what’s happening, much to your amusement.

“You can do so much better than him, Emily!” Shouting (and low-key sobbing), “You go, girl!”

So yes, forget the protests- After enough movie nights spent together, he’ll watch anything with you no matter what it may be.

Scary movies? A big, elaborate excuse to hold you closer, cheekily promising to protect you. Who doesn’t use that excuse?

Funny movies? He’s absolutely on board; his own sense of humor can be reached by lots of things. (He loves hearing you laugh, too.)

Adventure or action movies? A BIG YES. He gets into these the most, honestly, looking on and behaving like an excited child as he follows the story.

If you try a new movie and it ends up being super awful, that’s okay too! He turns it into a fun time anyway by ruthlessly making fun of it with you, and imitating bad dialogue lines.

He isn’t past falling asleep sometimes, either- and once he’s asleep and leaning against you or pulling you down with him, it’s impossible to escape his grip.

But that’s okay. A little stargazing on a clear night never hurt anyone. And who said you wouldn’t end up asleep, too?

A - Attractive (What do they find most attractive in a person and about you?)

Personality wise, Raihan likes a person who can take a challenge and has a bit of sass in them. He’s attracted to challenges, so if you have a challenging personality, he’ll be all for it. Physically, I imagine Raihan as an ass man, personally. He loves hips and ass and you can’t change my mind.

C - Cuddle (Do they like to cuddle? How do they like to cuddle most?)

Definitely a cuddler! Honestly, this man could cuddle in type of way and still be satisfied- he just likes physical contact. He’s a bit of a koala. It’s hard for him to choose his favorite way to cuddle, but if he had to, he honestly likes it when he’s curled around you most with his face in your chest and legs entwined with yours. Call him a sap, but even if you’re smaller than him, he appreciates being held and snuggled.

J - Jealousy (Are they the jealous type? How do they deal with it?)

Raihan is pretty secure, so I don’t think he’s the type to get jealous. I do believe he can be a bit protective, though. Arms around your shoulder and cocky glares made over your head are more common than you realize- not because he thinks you’re going to be unfaithful, but he simply doesn’t like people eyeing you like candy sometimes. He’s the only one who can do that, thank you very much.

K - Kiss (Their favorite way to kiss you?)

Raihan is a bit of a tease, so his favorite way to kiss you is more teasing. He likes to barely graze his lips with yours, the barest amount of pressure but lingering enough to feel hot- and then he leans away and nibbles on your jaw. You give him a reaction every time he does it, and Raihan loves it.

Y - Yearn (How do they deal with yearning?)

He doesn’t like yearning, not one bit. He just doesn’t have the patience for it, and he doesn’t think it suits him to yearn. That being said, it happens a lot more than he likes. He usually deals with it by texting you a lot and asking you to send him pictures of you.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

Nature walks. Always. Fresh air always helps to clear your head and cheer you up. At least, that's what he's experienced. If you're ever feeling glum, Raihan's always going to be at your beck and call to make sure you get back on your feet. He'll walk you down to an ice cream parlour or a bakery since who doesn't like sweets? Then he'll let you rant or ramble, and offer advice if you want any. He's not an unhappy person in any sense of the word, which is one of the reasons he values your happiness so much. He doesn't like seeing his favorite person in the world feeling down.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

His kisses are very playful. Lots of little lip bites and smiles while kissing. He just enjoys being this close and intimate with you and you can tell just by the sheer amount of happiness that radiates from him when he kisses you. Raihan probably had quite a bit of practice kissing back in high school, so he knows how to tell if you like or dislike something. Your first kiss was probably a spur of the moment thing, like a goodnight kiss after a date or a goodbye kiss before one of you departed on a trip. He’s a very spontaneous guy, which is reflected in his kisses.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

Aboslutely. Raihan adores physical affection of all kinds. He’s the type of guy to absolutely smother his S/O unless they tell him not to. He especially likes to cuddle on the couch while watching a movie, with all of your Pokemon out of their Poke balls and lounging around you two. He’s tall, so forehead kisses are common, as are neck and back rubs. He wants you to feel loved and wanted. He frequently posts pictures of him kissing your temple with his arm around you on social media, both because pictures like that are adorable and because he can flaunt his too-cute-for-words S/O.

Thanks a million, hun! Piers is my absolute favorite, so it makes me really happy to hear that I’m doing a good job with him! I had quit writing, but you sent in your ask at a GREAT time because I’m starting to get back into it. Without further ado, here’s what you requested! Hope you like it!

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?: At first, he likes things just the way they are; him and his partner living together with Marnie and being a happy little family of 3. He’s never been one to think about getting hitched and having kids; he just never really saw it as being a thing for him. He wants to stay with his partner forever if possible though, he does know that. But, as the relationship with his partner goes on, he realizes that it would actually be kinda nice. The idea of calling his s/o “wife/husband” starts to sound more and more appealing to him. When things get to the point that he’s actually throwing out questions here and there to see what his partner thinks about it, he also starts thinking about what their kids would look like if they had them. He tries to shake this off because he has a hard time seeing himself as a dad. After they actually get married and all their other friends start having kids, he’s gonna get a bad case of baby fever and it’s absolutely adorable. When he gets to that point, he starts thinking more into the future and I think he’d want 2 or 3 kids, ideally two daughters and a son, but he’d be happy no matter what.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?: He gets jealous more than he lets on. He has low self-esteem and is worried that his partner is going to find someone better and leave him. He doesn’t want to be “that guy” though, so he doesn’t usually say anything. He tries to be more open with his feelings with his partner, but this is one of the areas he has the most trouble with. He usually gets more quiet and gloomy than usual, so it might not be obvious right away but it will become obvious. Depending on who it is that is making him feel so jealous, getting him to admit what’s bothering him can be like pulling teeth. He feels SO STUPID and toxic when he gets jealous of his s/o’s longtime friend and is going to need a lot of assurance that they’re not mad at him for feeling this way. He’s more open with his partner if it’s Raihan or one of the other gym leaders that is making him jealous because they’re his friends too, so he doesn’t feel like he’s telling his partner to drop their friends because he’s jealous (even if he’s not trying to do that, he feels like that’s how it’s going to come off as). Raihan is probably the one that makes him feel jealous the most often because flirting and friendly banter are pretty much the same thing for him, so he does it all the time despite not actually making any moves on Piers’ s/o. If it’s one of their mutual friends, he also feels more comfortable talking to them and telling them that what they’re doing is bothering him so they will tone it down. He will NEVER be the kind of boyfriend that forbids their partner from having male friends. The only time he would really insist that his s/o stops hanging out with someone is if they are blatantly making moves on them and won’t stop despite him or his s/o talking to them about it.

Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?: As I said in a previous post, his sister and his pokemon are going to take precedence over his relationship. He’s not going to kick them to the curb for something like that. He’s also not going to give up his music career or change who he is at the core of his person. He will bend over backwards to accommodate his partner though. Don’t like one of his pokemon? He’s not going to get rid of it, but he will take it to the Wild Area or the Route outside of Spikemuth to let it get some time out of its ball rather than letting it roam the house at all hours of the day, but his s/o is going to have to tolerate the pokemon being out sometimes (unless his partner has a phobia of the pokemon, then he’ll make more of an effort to keep it in its ball at home and just give it extra special attention when they’re out and about). His sister is something he isn’t going to budge on. You treat her well, or you’re out. If Marnie is the one causing issues (you know how teens can be), then he will find a way to broker peace. With his music career, he’s not going to quit for a relationship, but he will find a way to make his tour schedules less taxing for his s/o to deal with and will accommodate them any way he can. Outside of these things, he’s a VERY devoted lover and will do just about anything to make them happy. The man has an innate NEED to care for those he loves and make them smile, especially his s/o.

Once again threading your fingers through his hair, Bede released a content hum of approval. He had thrown his head onto your lap and tucked the rest of his body onto the couch. The moment he saw you reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, his jacket had been tossed onto a coat hook, and his shoes went flying into the closet. Whimsical tales of worlds fare away had always been a favourite of Bede's. Maybe it was because his childhood hadn't been the best, but whatever the reason, he never failed to snuggle closer to you whenever a fantastical story was being read. " Begin at the beginning, the king said, very gravely, and go on till you come to the end: then stop." Your words were slow and punctuated, fingers still moving though Bede's curly locks. These moments like this, with you, were always going to be Bede's favourites. Having you hold him close and speak gently in his ear was all he needed. All he ever needed was you.

K- Kiss

"Why are we doing this," your grumpy boyfriend, Bede, continued, "I have work to do at the gym. I don't have time for this!" Rolling your eyes, you squeezed his hand and dragged him further into Glimwood Tangle. Little did the young man know was that there was a surprise waiting for him in the woods. On your last trip to Alola, you had managed to catch a very special pokemon that would help Bede's team greatly. "If you must know I have a small surprise for you," tugging him into an open clearing, " She's a little shy, so that's why we're in the woods," you turned around to face the man behind you. In the minute you'd begun talking, Bede's face had gone through multiple expressions. First annoyance, then apologetic, now surprise and giddiness. "She?" the confusion was laced in his voice. Pulling out a love ball and throwing it up into the air, a small Alolan Vulpix with purple eyes. Watching Bede's face as his eyes grew comically large, you began to laugh, soon followed by Bede. Gripping your face gently in his hands, his lips gently meet yours. Lips moving together in perfect sync like it been practiced a hundred times over.

V- Vulnerable

As the dust cleared off the battlefield, only one pokemon remained standing. Raihan's Flygon zipped into the air as bede's Rapidash laid in the dirt, exhausted from the battle. "And once again, the winner is Raihan!" The stadium's announcer called the victory, excited fans of the dragon tamer and disappointing fans of the fairies friend. With a quick bid goodbye to your friends who came to watch the match with you, you began your walk to Bede's dressing room, where you knew he'd be momentary. A lost battle was always hard on Bede. When the two of you first got together, he hardly shared how he felt at all, let alone after losing a match. As time went on, he began to open up more. He talked about his childhood from time to time, muttered a few words when he lost a match, but that was it. You knew he was trying his best, so you didn't push him when he didn't share. You were quick to figure out, however, that just being there with him helped to calm him down, think rationally and leave with a clear head. So when you open the door to his dressing room and came to find a slightly red-faced Bede, you grasped his hand and brought it your lips kissing it gently. Being there for him even when he had no words to speak.
