soo think i'm like... a flicker part, maybe, or just a really distinct segment, who knows. i'm definitely cal-adjacent but also... too not-a-dude to really feel like cal. but it's whatever, my voice is different, i talk a bit different, but not in any way that really matters.

i guess i don't really wanna think about it too much, the whole, "when i stop Being Me i will never be me ever again" thing, it's just weird, right? like i'll just disappear. we used to struggle with it a lot more years ago, before everything.

argh i don't know, i feel so fake. dissociation, i guess. we've had insane brain fog for hours at this point, thanks social anxiety, but with it comes dissociation and i guess it's just eating me hard now.

I like this scene because when I was writing it I was thinking about how fun everything would be once Alberu joins the party ahaha

This poor guy will not only have to deal with Regressor Cale, but Regressor Choi Han AND Kim Roksoo. Those three will never let the opportunity to tease Alberu slip by. Also I find this one scene really funny because Alberu is absolutely thinking to himself ‘what the hell was that’ when he made eye contact with Cale, the young master of the Henituse family who is famous for his brutal honesty and words, is smiling at him in a way that reminded Alberu too much of himself.

Realistically, there should be no way the young master knows anything about him, not when they had only exchanged a few greetings in passing. Sure, the Henituse county was rich, but they had no reason to dig for information on him unless he provoked them. So why did it feel like Cale Henituse knew something very important about him?

the current plan for who you are in the dark is to split the fic into two halves, with the first section covering Keith's time with Lotor, and the second section covering his time after he returns to the paladins. this is mostly just to keep the chapter count from ballooning, since we're at 27 chapters already lmao.

we're definitely getting close to the split, but it's not there yet!

I also plan on doing this with flicker, with part one covering Keith during the early stages of the invasion of Earth and part two covering the arrival of the paladins (also because then I can sandwich in an Allura focused oneshot in between the two halves).

Nobody but me cares about this but I got a Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale collection book that has like...a good chunk of their most well known collected tales in it and I am so fuckin' happy to have some tangible book to hold and skim through instead of having to look up fables they've collected online and having to click through link after link and getting distracted.

IT'S ONE OF THOSE FANCY BOOKS TOO THAT HAS THE SHINY GOLD ON THE PAGE EDGES SO WHEN THE BOOK IS CLOSES THE PAGES ARE SHINY AF AND THE COVER HAS SUCH PRETTY ASS DESIGNS

I really like the details and designs fairy tale books use-they are so underrated and I wanna learn more about how to do them myself so I can slip them into Beanstalked stuff (I have been dipping my toes in like with the new cover and its framing)

I cannot wait to add little sticky notes of all the Beanstalked characters (or at least the ones that are based off Grimm fairy tales) to it eheheheheheheheheh
