Nana loves to tease Jack but she ain't lying. It's very much canon that one of the biggest reasons Jack managed to pull her was because he was constantly pulling himself up from falling on his own face.

Nana took up the duty that is kissing his every bump, scrape, and bruise he gets from said falls.

After looking at the recent pic that you posted, it reminded me of a pic that you posted in the past (it was a pic that was from the earlier days of when they started dating where Jack was kissing Nana on the cheek). When I look at the two pics side by side, it kinda shows how their love & bond has grown overtime, especially w/ how Nana grows more comfortable w/ physical touch from Jack

I have bad habit of accidentally redrawing the same pose over and over again between these two (mainly because I've drawn them SO much) but that's kind of a cool thing because of coincidences like this because it really does look like them in the past versus them in the present day (right down to the background being more bright to match their feelings of each other)

With the way I draw Jack now...I can kinda better understand how some mistake him for a girl.

This ramble is short but gore warning under cut because I like typing out how Nana kills

Nana tearing out someone's throat with her teeth. Her face is covered in their blood and her mouth practically splits her face in half with how large it is.

All the bandits watch in horror and fear as she stands over the gurgling dying body of one of their crew. She puts the pathetic sounds to a halt as she casually jams her foot into their chest, cracking their ribs with the ease of crunching a chip as her foot crushes their heart between her sole and the ground and they finally go limp.

Her spitting out the chewed up remains of what used to be her victim's jugular in the direction of the bandits that ambushed her and Jack is enough to send them all screaming in terror.

Meanwhile Jack stares in awe and his chest is pounding heill hard since his heart is full of love because wow he really adores when his girlfriend has no mercy and is dripping in the blood of people who were trying to kill them just mere moments ago.

I can finally get back to drawing some good classic Red Beans after fixing up Beanstalked.

Anyways, Jack loves smothering Nana in kisses. This is nothing new but I just love the image of him holding her face in his hands and covering it in pecks like an old school cartoon.

Does making a mini comic as fanart of your oc's go against your boundaries on fanfics? The comic is just drawing some you said in response to someone else's ask, but I want to make sure it's ok first.

I see it as fanart instead of a fanfic. And it's literally based off my own response (if I'm reading this right) so it should be fine.

I just can't read fanfics because of the risk of me accidentally putting in a concept someone may deem too similar to the one they introduced in their fic and then getting mad or even accusing me of stealing.

I wanted to ask, how tall is Jack's mom? I know you said Jack is kinda tall, but wow, it seems she's taller than him...or are my eyes deceiving me?

Originally Jack was a lot shorter but I made him 5'8 ft...I never really quit drawing Aurelia (his mom) taller than him though so she winded up being BIG MOTHER. Which I think is kind of cute. Tall mom and her short low-key cursed son.

I don't have her height in numbers, I just know Jack is shorter than her.

Jack's dad was taller than her though so...the hella tall genes just sort of skipped farm boy. Tbh though there are a lot of tall women in Beanstalked.

🌱Beanstalked's Revamped Chapter 1 is OUT🌱

I FINISHED MY MINI PROJECT which means now's a good time to stop being so vague about what I've been up to for the past month or two.

I spent this whole time basically giving the first chapter of Beanstalked a revamp!

"But Rocky, didn't you already redraw the first chapter before?" YOU ARE CORRECT ✨--but to not clog stuff up, I have a more in depth explanation for why I did this under the cut!

I swear this will be the last time I touch the first chapter. I AM AT PEACE NOW! I am also SUPER happy with how everything turned out. I love Beanstalked very much and am constantly trying to do my little fairy tale comic justice.

I originally did redraw the first chapter in 2022 or somewhere around that time range.

I wanted to reboot Beanstalked since I had originally written everything back in highschool and I knew I could do better executing the story. That redrawn chapter sort of winded up acting like a pilot of sorts. And thanks to Glitter and Guilt, I figured out an easier and quicker way of going about coloring and shading characters so I could complete pages waaay faster.

What initially was planned to just be a thing for Glitter and Guilt winded up becoming how I've decided to do all my future comic stuff now.

This is the reason why Chapter 2 looks stylistically different when it comes to rendering compared to the older Chapter 1. PLUS...I really hated how different Jack's hair looked in the original redraw. I also cleaned up and resorted some speech bubbles so dialogue flows a little smoother at points.

SO THAT'S ONE TASK CROSSED OF MY TO-DO LIST!

Ok weird question, and you don't have to answer if it makes you uncomfortable, but it comes to your kissing images, is there a technique you use. Because for some reason when I try they always come out weird.

My technique is called "using a reference"

I always use a reference for my kisses because they look weird or weak without them. Same goes for any pose I'm having a hard time with.

Are there divine beings in the glitter and guilt universe?

Glitter and Guilt takes place on Earth which is shared with all my other stories also taking place on Earth.

I have a storyverse I call the Rockyverse and it's where all my OCs stories take place. I have some deity OCs in said universe as well.

So yes TECHNICALLY there are divine beings in the universe Glitter and Guilt takes place in (The Rockyverse)

However, there are 0 plans for a divine being character in Glitter and Guilt...save for Angel but she has strong ties to the Beloveds so she fits in well.

But that's it as I don't want to over complicate Glitter and Guilt and I don't see gods really fitting into the plot of a story about a magical girl and her obsessive villainous boyfriend who loves her very very much.

What time period Is Beanstalked set in?

Modern day. Lore is a different planet from Earth existing at the same time.

Tbh Glitter and Guilt and Beanstalked are happening in sync with each other.

It's just that everything looks medieval but there's magical technology and bits of our world glitching over to it sometimes thanks to small pockets opening up in our world and that swallow lost things up here and spit them out over there.

I've reached the point where I don't stress too much over neat lineart for my webcomics because I've read soooo many comics with varying quality and have enjoyed each one and the story they told that it really drives home how it's okay to make a panel a bit messy or imperfect since each one is simply meant to help tell a story.

I've read SOOOO many old Smackjeeves and Comicfury comics by people scanning paper they drew on with pencil and paint bucket tooled to fill in. I've read comics by people who didn't have the best anatomy skills but had enough confidence in their story to push through so you see them getting better over the course of the comic. I've seen pure black and white comics that are basically just sketches but have some deep ass story telling that puts some mainstream media to shame.

Realizing "Hey...I don't have to pour all my blood sweat and tears into this page, only just a couple drops" because of the other comics I enjoy reading that aren't absolutely picture perfect creations just really makes working on them a whole lot easier.

It also super helps that I view the webcomics I work on as basically "extra detailed lore to understand my OCs better" instead of "I WANT TO MAKE MONEY OFF THIS ONE DAY". Not to say making webcomics for money is a bad thing (get that bread yo), but doing it as a fun little hobby for myself is what makes it more fun and less stressful for me.

Ngl i really really REALLY like Bitterbat (and the rest of the flavour four) clothing style, how would they react to someone complimenting their choice of clothes?

Bitterbat: He doesn't have much of a response. He'd probably drop a "Thanks". Depending on how the compliment is delivered, he might give a smile or he might have his "default" pokerface he has on when he isn't around Sweetheart.

Sourpuss: Would thank said person before asking for candy as a reward. If one says no, Sourpuss would just keep eye contact for an extended period of time. Would not blink during said eye contact. If you walked away to leave and looked over you shoulder, it would still be staring. You have a limited amount of time before you can leave safely. Hurry.

Halite: Would either bow, finger gun while clicking tongue, or wink while saying thank you. He is the diva of the quartet and appreciates when people appreciates his good looks and fashion. Would drop a compliment back.

Red-Hot: Similar to Bitterbat, he'd drop a "Thank you" but his expression wouldn't change very much.
