I can’t describe how hyped I am, I FINALLY have come across another person that likes this ship

Anyways, I’ll throw some headcanons out there for ya. This’ll be a long post under a cut since I’ve got a Lot of feelings about these two.

- Knowing Felix’s whole deal with Dimitri, it wouldn’t shock me if he were to transfer to the Golden Deer due to their views. And Claude’s gonna be intrigued by Felix because of his strength and refusal to put on the rose-tinted glasses the people of Faerghus usually have on about nobility and knighthood and potential intel for winning mock battles against the Blue Lions

- I feel they’ll have a little bit of a rocky start due to how joking and outwardly charismatic Claude is around people, and how Felix keeps himself closed off and doesn’t allow himself to have the fun he wants to have, but eventually Felix will warm up as he watches the antics of the other Golden Deer together and won’t scowl when a quip is thrown his way. He may smile while watching the other Golden Deer bullshitting with each other sometimes, but he still refuses to let himself laugh. Not letting himself laugh at jokes is just one of the things that’ll be staying for a very long while, if not forever to some degree.

- The way they grow closer will probably be the kind of way that has them both keeping it inside and not showing it (aside from the usual subtle and casual flirts from Claude that are too common for Felix to know for sure), and them not realizing just how close they’ve become until it hits them really hard one day. It may get rocky between them again if Felix were to confront Claude about why he got so close, and accuse him of only wanting Felix around for Blue Lions intel, but they’ll both come back together in a few days after their feelings sit and marinate in their minds, and they can both be honest with each other about what they kept hidden.

- Felix is of course gonna want to train with Claude and demand it, and seeing Claude’s skill with axes, and the fact that he’s a challenge to spar with due to how quick his movements and mind are, is probably gonna get him really excited. Felix is gonna win most of the time, though Claude may manage to get him on the ground sometimes with quick tricks to get him tripped up. Eventually Claude’s probably gonna be one of his favorite training partners, alongside Byleth and Raphael.

- These two aren’t fully honest with others about their feelings and desires unless there’s a LOT of trust, so the moment they can be openly honest with each other will be what sets their feelings in stone and gives them both the courage to try for something more than platonic. They’re both scared of losing those they hold dear, so they may start out slow and enjoy whatever affection they give they each other as it comes. Claude is patient, and more willing to try more things, so he’ll be the one easing the progression along smoothly until they’re both comfortable with not progressing with baby steps. Felix goes along with it due to the consideration of his feelings that no one else gave him before, alongside feeling outright addicted to the feeling of someone holding him close and giving him genuine love and support. He’ll still get aggressive and bicker about it, but in the end he always goes quiet and just clings to Claude tightly.

- Claude could probably manage to talk Felix into at least trying to mend things with Dimitri in the future. Felix never had anyone that heard his side and didn’t judge him for his feelings about what happened until Claude came around, so eventually Felix would consider at least dialing down on insults because it was Claude who asked him to. As long as Felix tries, Claude is happy.

I’ll go ahead and stop this here for now, since it’s getting long. I’ve also got headcanons for AU portrayals of these two as a ship, especially my Modern/Rebirth AU, but those are a whole different story and really different than these ones, so I won’t go into that AU’s ship headcanons unless I’m asked. Thanks for this ask, I had fun writing it and thinking of these two again!

The deafening crack of skin on skin broke the quiet mourning in the camp. The Crest of Flames banners hung limp and damp from the morning dew. Felix’s panting breaths formed small clouds of fog in the chill air as the Crest of Fraldarius faded. He balled his hands into fists that trembled in time with his jaw. It spoke more to the soldiers’ surprise than discipline that no one approached to restrain him.

For their part, Byleth stood to the side, a frown pulling at their face.

Claude stood unmoved, almost heedless of the redness blooming across his face from the backhand. Sad green eyes rested in an otherwise even expression. Even though they were nearly the same height, he towered over Felix like a majestic stag in his prime while Felix panted and snarled like a wounded cub. He signalled ‘stand down’ to his guards that still hadn’t responded to the threat. He didn’t break eye contact. “Are you done?”

“You left him to die!” Felix slashed his arm between them, his Crest burning brightly a second time. “Is the Alliance not enough for you, Riegan?”

Still, Claude did not rise to meet the emotion. “He was a threat to the army. He attacked our forces and his own if they stood in his path. Attempting an alliance with Prince Dimitri would have been tactical suicide.”

“You were afraid the soldiers would follow him over you. You could never inspire the same loyalty.” When Claude didn’t respond to the acidic words, Felix ripped the gold armband off his sleeve. He threw it to the ground and added the silver earring, torn from his flesh, on top. He spat on both and turned his back, stalking off into the morning mist.

A heartbeat.

Ten.

Then Claude’s expression collapsed. He crumpled tight, his shoulders pulling in and eyes squeezed too tight for tears to slip through. He allowed himself a single, pained whimper before kneeling and scooping up Felix’s things. The bloody earring, he wrapped in the gold fabric and then he placed it all into a pouch on his belt.

Byleth put their hand on Claude’s shoulder. “Shall I go after him?”

Claude smiled, but he’d fallen back to his school days where it didn’t meet his eyes. “Thank you, my friend, but no. He’ll come back on his own, or he won’t. This is war. Sometimes we lose things no matter what we do.”

“But he’s being ridiculous!” Hilda said. Her hands were balled into fists and she shook with restrained energy. “I tried! I lost half of my battalion trying to save his idiot prince! Three soldiers died getting his body back from the Empire! You can stand there and take it, but I’m going to give him a piece of my mind!”

Claude didn’t grab her arm, didn’t have to. He gave her the lightest touch and she froze. “He’s grieving. No amount of effort on our part will have been enough, especially since I let Dedue sneak off with his body last night.”

“You what?!” Hilda howled, rounding on him. 

“He would have fought our guards to the death for his liege. It was the best option I had. We couldn’t afford him hounding our convoys all the way North.” He patted Hilda’s shoulder. “And I’m proud of how you lead your people. If I’d known Dimitri was so volatile, I wouldn’t have given the order. No one could have been expected to stop him.”

Tears crept into her eyes and she turned away. “Yeah, alright, I just wanted the battle to be over as quickly as possible.”

“We don’t have a good replacement for him,” Byleth murmured.

“I know.”

“Our plans for the Old General-”

“I know,” Claude interrupted, the hurt burning in his voice. His arms shook. “I’ll figure something out. I have a whole book of contingencies for Fort Merceus.”

“Do you need to take a day?”

“Yes.” Claude laughed, throwing his head back with hysteria. “But we don’t have one.” He took a deep breath and the emotion peeled off his face like wax from a spent candleholder. “I need three, no four, wyvern messengers. Have them come to my tent in half an hour.”

If Byleth meant to press, meant to question, it never crossed their face. They simply nodded and set off deeper into the camp.

I finally finished this drawing! I’m kinda glad with how it turned out, especially with Claude’s facial expression! I think he looks absolutely adorable! 

Ahh, Felix x Claude. Definitely one of my favourite non-canon ships in WMMAP! After all, they are the first ship I had written smut about. And I’m proud of it.

I like to headcanon that Claude is incredibly light and Felix can easily carry him without feeling tired one bit! Felix probably walked around the palace while carrying Claude bridal-style at some point.

Why am I staring at his hand? Felix thought to himself as he pulled his eyes back to his phone. With his eyes on his phone, Felix found himself still thinking about the boy’s crooked smile, bright blue eyes, and blue hair. What the heck. What am I doing? What is wrong with me? Felix panicked as the boy started walking over, eyes locked on Felix. Oh, no. He saw me. Oh, shit. The boy smiled and set a napkin down next to Felix’s coffee.

Felix froze in shock and Bridgette accidentally stepped out of the umbrella. “You... you love me?” He asked as she rushed back into the dry space. “Well... Yeah, I do.” She smiled up at him. “It wasn’t in a romantic way for a while, but I’ve loved you as family for what feels like forever.” Felix’s head was spinning and he couldn’t believe how lucky he was that Bridgette cared despite his entire life going to the trash recently.

“I know, Marinette, I know.” Luka hugged her trying to give her as much comfort as possible as they took the quickest route back to her house. “I promise you don’t have to do it alone.” “You’ll s-stay?” Marinette shivered, looking up at him with clouded blue eyes begging for anything that would make her feel better. “Of course I will. If you need me, I’ll be there for you.” Luka assured as they pushed the bakery door open. Sabine and Tom rushed to the door and hugged Marinette.

“Yet another thing you failed at.” Mime sneered. “Don’t think I don’t know, Claude. You stole my wife from me, you stole what little power you have from me. You stole from me.” He glared. “Anything you are is because of me.” Claude could barely stand by now, so stunned with everything. But he felt the anger burn up inside him, adrenaline finally kicking in. Kid Mime glared. “I didn’t steal your wife from you, she’s my fucking mother!” He snapped. “I didn’t steal anything from you, you created me! You didn’t get me to where I am, I’ve managed to get to where I am in spite of you.”

This is Nowhere Left to Go (But Up)! Trigger warning for parental abuse, but I used it to give Claude some depth and more life than ‘oh, he’s the happy outgoing one’. I really enjoyed this!

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Alix sighed. “I just... Is asexuality a bad thing? Am I a freak for being me? I mean, I know that it’s okay, cuz tons of tumblrinas and other online people are like that, but I don’t know if I’ve ever met another ace dude in real life, and Chloe told me that it’s weird and i can’t stop thinking about it.” “Oh, Alix...” Mrs Bustier sympathized. “Of course it’s not a bad thing. You are your own person and you deserve to define yourself however you’d like. No one, not even Chloe, can hold that against you.”

Asexual vent fic if I’m being honest, but I loved exploring Alix’s character and sexuality in Not My Thing!

“I just want everything to be perfect.” Alya huffed. “I mean, like, we’re moving in together, it’s a huge milestone, it’s the first house I don’t live with my parents, it’s this huge part of our lives... Of our character arcs!” “Dude, it’s not like we’re in some AO3 fanfiction and we actually have character arcs. This is real life, and you’re doing great. “Okay, fine, but say we were?” Alya pointed out. “This is like the climax of our lives, it’s a fluff shenanigan, it’s the hurt/comfort of moving out, it’s the—” “Real life.” Nino laughed. “It’s real life. And even if it was the epitome of my entire life, I’m insanely psyched that I get to spend it with you.”

*chants* DJWIFI DJWIFI DJWIFI I really loved writing I’m Already Home, it was so fun.

“I know what we can play! How about a little game of cat and mouse?” Chat suggested. “Just tell me where your akuma is, and we can begin the game!” “I have an idea too! What if you give me your ring instead?” The kangaroo challenged. “I hardly think I know you enough to propose!” Chat smirked. “Besides, my heart belongs to someone else.”

Movie Date, Interrupted: Ladynoir centric fluff fic with a goofy kangaroo akuma to go with @justmagicalgirl and @writerriderdirtythirties companion pieces! Bre wrote 2 sides of the love-square, Isis got one, and I did the Ladynoir one!

Claude raised an eyebrow. “Why don’t you want people to think you were at Bridgette’s place?” He asked, the instinctive older brother kicking in. “I was there to help her with late night homework, but since I don’t intend to go back home tonight, I needed someone to know that I didn’t stay the night at Bridgette’s house.” Felix said matter-of-factly.  “And why is that such a big deal?” Allan asked. Felix blushed slightly and shook his head. “Because... Allegra is going to make a big deal out of it because she suspects I have romantic feelings for Ms Cheng.” Claude smiled smugly and Allan gave him a look. “Which is not true at all.” Felix rushed. 

Just Fe, Claude, and Allan hanging out and deciding to Just Do Whatever.

“You okay, crescendo?” Luka asked from the bed. Felix stood at the window, watching the traffic go through the busy streets. “Fine.” Felix shrugged, closing the curtains. “Just stalling.” “Stalling? You’re still having bad dreams?” Luka asked, sitting up. “Yeah.” Felix admitted, pulling into his spot next to Luka. “Still about your dad?” Luka asked, already knowing the answer.  “No, I’m having nightmares about cows running around and chasing me because of my cousin’s excessive milk consumption.” Felix chuckled, moving Luka’s arm so that he could comfortably lay on it, snuggling with Luka’s shoulder. “But yeah, I am.”

So sorry this is late, I had a hectic past few weeks.

What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Probably Napkindling A Relationship! I liked doing a coffee shop Feluka meet cute and it was so fun to pull at hard decisions on that one.

Your favorite character to write this year? Probably Claude or Kagami. They’re fun to write because there’s so much more going on behind what they say, I got comfy influencing their decisions by what’s going on in their lives.

Favorite work you wrote this year? Nowhere Left To Go (But Up)! Claude is my little bean and I loved getting to explore some stuff that could be going on in his life (plus I really like angst). It also got another friend of mine into writing felaude, so… XD
