Teca Institute's Exchange Group!
For the Lunaverse AU.
As I said in the previous post of this AU. Teca would take Mexico City's Place in this AU's version of Earth. Given the city's structure in the show. (More details on that on my other Blog)
Long story short, how to adapt what happened in Maya And The Three into a modern setting? Well, politics.
LISTEN UP! Sounds weird but let me explain!
Basically, Mictlan is a God in human desguise, looking to reign over humanity by becoming president of the country and start a War. As part of his campaign, he uses Zatz as an Embassador of his values and goals, in the mean time, Camazotz is his hitman, who is slowly killing Mictlan's competition. All to keep his son out of the God of War's bad side, since he knows, as a demigod, Zatz could give Mictlan power, though not as much as Maya, the "daughter" of the last standing competitor for Mexico's Presidency.
Note: Yes, in this world, if you are mexican, you can Vote for Jorge for President. You're welcome.
Jorge, Maya's father, has hidden her divine heritage thinking it wasn't a fact she needed to know of. Of course, when she starts to notice little glimpses of her powers, things get out of hand and the truth is revealed. Luckily, Zatz, the local "bad boy" and top student is there to assist her in discovering her godly abilities.
Pichu, Chimi and Rico are Maya's best friends from school, so when Zatz reveals the whole situation to the group, they team up to stop Mictlan.
Her brothers are ALIVE AND WELL! HANGING OUT LIKE THE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, PLAYING SOCCER AND BEING THE BEST BOYS! NO HARM COMES TO THEM!
Micte is the School's principal, obviously a Goddess in Human Desguise who took the role to be closer to Maya. Mictlan thinks is for the sake of spying on her for his benefit, since she's the seed of his glory or his destruction.
Obviously, they don't die fighting Mictlan, but still get their roles as the Moon and Sun. Once they fall, in battle or by time, they'll take their place, protecting for ever more the world from darkness as celestials.
I...might have rewritten the story, but given I changed the time period, I thought it was neccessary.
What do you think?

Tarot Decks that I think would be Cool
(Some, if not all of these, probably already exist in some way, and I just haven't seen them yet)
1. The Owl House
2. A botanical deck where the major and minor arcana are represented by flowers and plants. Up right, the plants are thriving and reversed they are withered and dying
3. A fae deck with beautiful, ethereal images of fae upright and reversed, you see the more sinister and frightening depiction of the fae
4. Fruits Basket
5. Hazbin Hotel
6. Grimm's fairytale
7. A deck made up of those random/funny Renaissance paintings
8. Classic novel decks. Like Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice or Dracula
9. A solar system/constellation deck
10. Avatar the Last Airbender deck
11. The Book of Life/Maya and the Three deck

I’M BACK BABY
I wanted to practice digital painting and decided to go with my favorite character from my little sister’s current favorite show maya and the three. I am so gay for chimi like she’s voiced by the goddess herself STEPHANIE BEATRIZ and just,, mwah. also the goddess of death and the goddess of alligators in this show are both unnecessarily hot as FUCK

It is DONE!
Trying something new while fullfiling a long made promise!
May I present to you: The Lunaverse!
Diegoverse?...Mexaverse?....
This AU where the boys meet and start making a band. I imagine Krel as the DJ in the back, Zatz on the drums and Manolo as the guitarrist and vocalist.
Left Douxie out cause...maybe...this might be a Krouxie au? Maybe...?
The idea of Maria, Maya, Aja and Douxie cheering for their loved ones is so precious to me.

Haven't posted one of my fandom ramblings in a while, so let me fix that bg talking about
Maya and the Three (not spoiler free)
Maya and the Three is a mini series on Netflix, I personally think it's worth the watch if you are a fan of animation, Gods and some nice adventure in the old style of "hero/heroine is a rebel and parents are against what their child usual does but then the hero/heroine gets the chance to follow their dreams of adventure"
I rate this show a 7/10, despite how much I liked it, there was something I could not ignore, aka the exact time of events: in certain scenes, if you pay attention to the background, you may notice how quickly the day becomes night and viceversa despite barely has happened for so much time to pass in a blink, which I cannot label as something intentional or as a mistake because I cannot understand which is which. considering this is a mini series of netflix, I assume producers weren't given a lot of time and episodes and had to mush everything together with what they managed to get. This could have been an epic series if more episodes and time was given in general (I'm not sure how the contract was like, but knowing how Netflix can be at times, I do go "hmmmmm")
another example of confused time is how in a certain episode Maya's mom is heavily hinted to be pregnant again (ex. weird cravings and her holding her belly plus her husband going "uhoh"), however already by the end of that same episode/start of the next, her belly grew so much like months have passed but really does not feel like it - I personally thought Maya's search for the other warriors only lasted for some weeks and nothing more. I am not a fan of filler episodes, but I have to admit if used in the correct quantity, fillers can give a nice lenght to medias, Maya being one of them due to how confusing time was
In Maya, all episodes are plot driven, which is pretty cool and enjoyed it since I love plot, but the lack of fillers and a moment of rest made it happen too fast, causing it to have a confused passage of time. Even at the end, you can see Rico and Chimi with their own kids but they look the exact same as the start of their adventure, like no time has passed for them. This is something very small compared to other things I thought looked extremely off, but adds up to all the rest along with how fast slowburns happened, I wasn't fond of any pairings at all because they lacked slowburn and I couldn't find it appealing at all.
The last episode was my favorite because of how it struck me as an episode that was taken care of more than the others, everything looked nice don't get me wrong, but the last one hit different. I also loved how everything had this black frame that added a lot of cinema-vibes plus a 3D effect whenever a character was animated over it even for a short time, it looked so cool and an incredible effect I was never tired of seeing
Overall, pushing aside the timing issue, this show is worth the watch and support and I wished it was more than a mini series because this had a LOT to tell, such as backstories and certain characters appearing once and then lowkey forgot, left up in the air or simply cut off, but had little room
