We’re a fun romp about good versus evil and fighting against an awful Galactic Empire. This is a pop culture icon and staple. The story is based on the hero’s journey. Yes, there are moments that are hard and sad, but our stories are focused on hope and the intrinsic good within people.

Yes to all of that, and now we’re going to make the movies hurt. We’re going to show the cost of doing (or trying to do) the right thing. Fighting for hope and the inherent good in people has costs. You won’t watch the movies the same way because of us. When you see a specific moment or event or character, you’ll remember us and what it took to get to that story point in the movie.
"why should I get invested in shows if they'll just get canceled" I was deeply invested in Heroes (2006) and it was not canceled, it just got really terrible. I also got really invested in the sandwich I had a few weeks ago despite it only lasting like 15 minutes. You must embrace the ephemeral. You must be willing to love things that may not love you back, that might betray you, or that may die an untimely death. As the great philosopher Mr. Mitchell Lee Hedberg said "I'm not gonna stop doing something because of what happens at the end."

i know we talk about this all the time but the early supernatural seasons are sooooo pretty. gorgeous. shot on film. the lighting. the camera work. kim manners my beloved. every shot is breathtaking and interesting and dynamic. they truly do not make television that looks like this anymore and i miss it so much.
