I love the villain scorned by the world feat: Malleus genre: drama, hurt/comfort, romance note: part 3 continuation of Being Reincarnated into a New World as the Bad Guy AU Malleus ver, not gender specific reader, no pronouns used, villain/ess!reader is human, insecure villain/ess!reader, use of non-canon characters, 1.6k word count

I'm scared that people aren't gonna like how the villain/ess!reader is portrayed but I wanted to write people who are hurt and are afraid, cuz that's what being alive is like, to sometimes be afraid. So, hope you enjoy!

There are requests with more specific topics or aspects of the story so they may get their own story post. I'm not ignoring you, I'm more story pacing ^^"

In one night alone, you’ve met your ex-fiancé and your former friends while you were with the fae that has asked to marry you. Then, said fae went on to antagonize your ex-fiancé who was a prince and low-key threatened to ruin him, his lover and those who supported the couple.

You were not built for this stress

In his defense, Malleus only did it because your former fiance started to mock you and your family over a crime that was proven false. You certainly weren’t ungrateful enough not to thank Malleus for his assistance. The powerful king simply smiled.

“This is but a mere glimpse of the things I would do for you, should you finally accept my proposal”

“T-this is not a decision you can rush”

You were hesitant and gave excuses to refuse the dragon king but he made efforts to rebuke your reasons one by one, destroying whatever obstacles that kept you from saying yes. Soon, it came down to one reason, your real reason.

You were scared

Not of Malleus, he has never done anything to warrant fear from you. But rather, his status as a “route target”.

Before the arrival of the heroine, you were friends with the other route targets and even felt happy enough to be engaged with the prince despite having only platonic feelings between each other. But the moment they all met her, your world became hers.

Your former fiancé grew irritated with you, then full out ignoring you. It was no better with the others as well when you expressed your worries to your mutual friends. Rather than consoling you or hearing you out, they took the heroine’s side and started ignoring you as well, calling you delusional and unreasonable.

Everyone changed (or perhaps you changed and this was how it was meant to be) and you were left ridiculed and soon villainized by those you felt close to. The look of disgust on their faces whenever you attempted to just speak to them, it hurt you.

Would Malleus be the same? Be kind to you then break your heart when the heroine comes in? You suffered because of it the first time but if it was Malleus…your last and maybe closest person in your life since reincarnating to this world… you don’t know how you could come back from that.

So you started to give up on your happy ending, refusing to answer Malleus’ proposal, avoiding to engage with the heroine at all, even escaping the party and retreating to your old hiding spot… in the royal garden.

Alone with your thoughts, you berated yourself over your cowardice as you hid in the tall rose bushes. Gently, you fidgeted with the rose petals and you reminisced about the past. You met Malleus here, didn’t you?

You were so clueless over your future. Back then, you still held hope that your fate was not predestined, that you could be content with stepping aside for the heroine and live happily with them. Yet despite your conflicted feelings, you managed a smile as you recalled one fateful night in the garden. It was the night that you met with your closest friend…

“Lord Malleus!”

…Did you say that out loud?

You looked around in confusion to see if you were truly alone as you thought and to your surprise, you saw beyond the tall hedges the very fae you were just thinking about and the person who called him…

The female protagonist.

“Do you like flowers, Lord Malleus?”

Your heart clenched painfully as you saw your worst nightmare come to be, the female lead with your friend(?) and they were alone in the gardens, where you realized where the player was supposed to meet Malleus in order to enter his route. Was the baron’s daughter aware of this? Did they meet like it was meant to be? Should you stay…or run away?

You could. Your engagement has been annulled and your family was cleared from accusations of treason. You haven't accepted Malleus' proposal so nothing is holding you or your family back from leaving this kingdom forever and starting a new life away from here. No need to follow this cursed story to the end. No need to ever see your ex-friends or the protagonist ever again.

No need to see Malleus again.

Just run away.

Malleus internally thanked the elders and Lilia for their lessons to conceal his emotions, or he could have done something as drastic as burning this garden to ashes due to the annoyance he felt at this moment. He noticed your escape from the party and assumed you wanted some fresh air so he left you on your own. But soon, the party attendees bore him and he soon ached to be by your side once more. So, he made his way to the one place he immediately thought of when thinking of you, the royal gardens.

It was his curiosity borne from boredom that brought him to the gardens that day. He found himself attracted with your kindness and obliviousness to his true identity. He found you charming, a delight and later an optimist when learning of your situation. He knew right away who you were, the child from a noble family betrothed to the young prince of this kingdom since young but that piece of information did not bother him…at first.

But you were turned from charming to tempting as time went on. He craved your attention, envisioning your smiling face with each letter he received from you via his attendant Lilia. He couldn’t count how many times he wanted to visit you personally but couldn’t. He was sure that if you knew his identity, you may cease your correspondence with him in fear of a scandal between the kingdoms. He at least could appreciate your tactfulness.

But he was greedy as any dragon fae would be once he heard your engagement was annulled. He may curse the foolish prince for his actions but Malleus suppose he should count himself lucky that your ex-fiancé was a fool. If he were a decent man then he may have to declare war by stealing you away.

But Malleus encountered another greedy individual, and she’s standing right in front of him.

“Do you like flowers, Lord Malleus?” The baron’s daughter asked, fluttering her eyelashes cutely.

“This garden and its flora has its charm” Malleus curtly replied, he can’t hate this garden afterall. He met you here.

“So do I! I guess fae and humans aren’t so different, huh”

Well, that’s a stretch of a comment. He couldn’t comprehend this human’s agenda. Constantly surrounded by young men, Malleus assumed she had better ways to spend her time, and not waste his.

Wait…was she reaching her hand to him?

“My wish is for humans and fae to get along. Wouldn’t that be great?” The female lead sweetly said with her best smile, stretching her fingers to reach for Malleus’ crossed arms.

To dare attempt to lay hands on him without his permission. No one would fault him for burning this woman’s audacious hands off, right?

“King Malleus!”

The dragon fae’s pointed ears perked up at the sound of his name. He turned immediately to the source, knowing exactly who just called him.

“My dear human” he responded back with a smile as he saw you walking quickly towards him.

In spite of your nervousness, you walked up to the duo and looked to share a gaze with the tall dragon fae before cautiously moving to hover your hand on his arm. Malleus did you one better and guided your hand to firmly rest on his arm, with his large hand kept over yours.

“Good evening, lady” you nodded your head at the heroine who seemed displeased with your presence but curtsied back, as is custom. You barely gave the woman’s much of your attention (your confidence may waver if you did) and turned directly to face Malleus.

“King Malleus, I had planned to retire early tonight and leave this party” you looked to Malleus, taking a deep breath before speaking once more. To let yourself be selfish and fight for the only man that mattered to you now. “Would you like to leave…with me?”

“Aren’t you being rude?” The female lead argued, barely hiding her annoyance with you. “Not only did you interrupt a conversation, you’re shamelessly asking Lord Malleus to leave-“

“Where would you like to go, my dear human?” Malleus’ deep voice interrupted the baron’s daughter, not that Malleus cared as his striking green eyes focused solely on you.

“If you’re willing…perhaps your manor’s garden?” You shocked yourself with your boldness, but you kept at it. “I much prefer your garden above all others, especially during our dates”

Whoosh

Your senses couldn’t keep up with the sudden shift as you were suddenly lifted by Malleus who quickly scooped you up into a bridal carry. You and the female lead both had looks of shock by the fae king’s sudden actions but Malleus paid attention to only one of you.

“I had made the false assumption that all humans were charming” Malleus’ eyes glinted a bright green, you compared them to gems, as he smirked amusingly at you, his fangs peeking from his lips. “But only you could evoke such feelings of greed within me"

Ignoring this world's protagonist, Malleus began to shroud the two of you in specks of green lights, a sign that you were going to be magically whisked away at Malleus' whim.

But before you did, you managed to meet the female lead's eyes which were filled with nothing but indignant rage. She looked ready to destroy you and everything you love, but you steeled yourself. Instead of flinching under her glare, you smiled at her while wrapping your arms around the dragon king's neck. Without a word, you made your decision.

I'm not giving him up

you'd play with his round cheeks a lot. they're so fluffy you just want to bite them. well, one time you did, kita furrowed his brows at you at the sudden cuteness aggression. "what was that for?" he says. "nothim', lub you. :3" you mumble against his cheek.. before attacking the other one with a soft bite.

he'd randomly tuck your hair behind your ear while you're talking, and suddenly, you're tripping over your sentences trying to get it together. "i- a- and then.. the- damn it, shinsuke." you click your tongue. kita only smiles, enjoying your little mishap.

speaking of smiles, HE'D DEFINITELY HAVE SMILE LINES IN THE CREASE OF HIS EYES.

he'd take you out to the rice fields at night and sway you slowly, the moonlight bouncing off your head in a radiant way. you're humming to an old love song, and kita can't help but be thankful to the heavens above for sending him you.

if ever he's drunk at an inarizaki alumni party, he's talking about you in such an endearing way. "have you seen y/n? she's so beautiful." "i miss the smell of her hair.." "i want to go back home to my wife." the twins find it both sweet and sickening.

once he's let loose around you, he'll definitely have a cheeky side.

he's the type of husband to crush on you all over again even though you've been married for four years now. (i have a one-shot about this if you're interested!)

he'd take such immaculate care of you. from the hot and delicious dishes he whips up from scratch, to cleaning your shared bedroom while you're out for work. you're sick? one minute, he's scolding you with a gentle tone (making sure he doesn't sound mad), and soon enough, he's back with medicine, your favorite snacks, and your favorite books.

if you're a more sensitive person, he'd definitely be the first to hear about your rants. you're crying into his shoulder while he rubs your back, patiently waiting for you to calm your sobs down so you can tell him what happened.

if you're ever in an argument with him, it ends just as quick as it started. it's no surprise, though, since he was a mature kid.

I don’t like that in Mutant Mayhem Donnie is not a “science guy” but instead is more of an anime and pop culture geek. I’m not against him being an anime fan (I love anime too) but I wish we saw more of his science and being a tech genius side instead of him just liking stereotypical “nerdy stuff”. If that makes sense.

I don’t like the Punk Frogs (any version).

The 87 crossover episodes in the 2012 series (as much as I did enjoy them & are great episodes) should not have happened. They leave no real impact or development to 2012’s overarching story and just waste time. These episodes could’ve covered more important things that 202 was desperately lacking like like character exploration and character dynamic development. It was just nostalgic fanservice. The arc in S5 specifically would’ve work better as a movie instead of a 3-4 episode arc in the (most likely non canon) final season.

Shinigami being Mikey’s second love interests ruins her character a bit (for me personally). That was a pointless decision that did NOT need to happen. She would’ve been our first recurring female character to not be a love interest, but nope!

People are allowed to like/ship Donnie x April in ROTTMNT (this is coming from someone who’s not crazy about April being shipped with the Turtles).

I ship Yuichi with 2012 Leo more than Rise Leo (still ship Rise Leoichi, but I just think 2012 Leoichi is way more interesting, plus 2012 Leo deserves a good love interest).

The humans in Mutant Mayhem look ugly af (I know that was probably an intentional design choice but still. It looks bad.)

I hate Raph x Casey (any ver). I’ve stated in part one that I don’t like Raph (any version) being in a romantic relationship with human characters and yes, that meant him with Casey. Not only that but Raph and Casey being a couple ruins their whole dynamic and iconic friendship I love so much. I’m all for friends to lovers but they are a line that should not be crossed. Not every friendship needs to turn romantic.

2012 Karai’s hair looks bad.

Fans often over exaggerate Rise Donnie’s character and badly mischaracterize him in fanfics and fan comics to the point it makes him feel like he’s an entirely different character.

Shinigami should have been revealed to be a villain.

Rise Donnie was just as mean to his brother as fans claim 2012 Raph was to his. Yes, they both do love their families and I’m NOT saying either of them are abus!ce (they’re not), but fans praising Rise Donnie for doing similar things fans criticize/hate 2012 Raph for doing just makes them hypocrites.

Venus does NOT need to be in every iteration of TMNT. It gets kind of annoying when fans keep on saying that she should be in all the other iterations when in truth her presence would not make sense based on the already established canon story. The only (recent) version of TMNT where I think her being included would’ve fit the best and deserved to make her comeback in is ROTTMNT.

The side plot of 2012 Karai being mutated and later getting brainwashed by Shredder was a waste of time and the most boring arc in the series.

2012 April, Donnie and Casey being in a poly relationship does not fix anything with their problematic dynamic and massive flaws with one another. I'm not saying you can't ship all three of them together, you do you! Idc But in reality their relationship would be a train wreck, that's why I personally don't ship 2012 Capriltello.

Renet is probably one of the most powerful allies the Turtles have in the 2012 series.

Rise Donnie would NOT hate 2012 April. He’d go crazy over her psychic powers and want to study them to help her explore them more.

From what I've seen so far, Leo x Usagi seems like the only GOOD ship in the 2003 series (this hot take might change tho).

Raph had the best character arc and development in the 2012 series and changed the most out of the four brothers. Next would be Leo. With Mikey and Donnie have little development (or none at all sadly).

So let me start off by saying two things:

I don’t believe Baxter is super kinky

I don’t think he’s firmly in the dom/top category either

Ok so obviously I think about Asajj a lot but I usually don't fully explain or visualize it. So no time like the present to start doing that

Here are things about Asajj, starting with my personal design and concept of her and why it's like that (most of these are sketches to put my thoughts somewhere so don't expect anything refined or clean):

First off, that girl is a cryptid. Weirdo. I love giving her all-black eyes/white pupils because it fits her, and eyebrows whatsoever (unless I'm in the mood for that). This is mainly sticking to the earlier Dermoty Power designs for Episode II and the way he draws her later on. The pointy ears are because she's a cat to me and she had those in Hyperspace Stories #5. Also!!!! I hate the Clone Wars retconning her to be Dathomorian and a NIghtsister and that whole backstory with my entire heart. Story-wise I prefer sticking to the Legends stories in the early 00s' comics (specifically Star Wars: Republic #60). So Rattatak (her Legends home planet) and her original origin story are very near and dear to my heart. This is important. (btw I'm mostly not OCfying her I'm just mixing up some of her versions. mostly.)

Next up: tattoos and marks! made up too much lore for that but here's a bit: I mixed and matched her Legends and canon designs, and changed their meanings because they have fuckass actual meanings. the two things that kinda look like her eyebrows are from TCW and I took them and made them into her family tattoos. In MY mind, those are passed through generations in Rattataki families (by the mother) and those two are the Ventress tatts from the Ventress family. Other than that we have (in the left pic) the 12 (did not draw 12 but there are 12, 6 on each side) tattoos from her Legends design. Their actual explanation is that she got one for each of Ky's killers she murdered. But that's weird so instead for my ver they're mourning tattoos that she got after Ky's death. The things under her eyes are a whole ass mess but they're called decay marks and they're loosely based on concept art and they're basically darker the older/darker sider she gets.

(she has another arm I'm just bad at drawing it) Wanted to draw my interpretation of this outfit with my face design for her but I was not working with the cover as a reference so there's a lot missing. For this one I think it's just the outfit she wears in her later Padawan years on Rattatak, or in my AUs as a padawan in general.

they are a mess but some of my layouts and doodles for her outfits: 1) her on-panel Padawan outfit which is basically just a tank top and cargo pants. wanted to draw it so here we are

2) her ugly ass outfit as a daughter of warlords! girl I know you're like a child but what are you wearing

3) Personal Jedi Robes design but it's just the previous Padawan design with sleeves and more little changes

(can you tell I enjoy drawing her face like that) these are more AU-oriented 4) Inquisitor Asajj design because I thought it'd be cool idk what she'd doing with the Empire tho 5)Temple guard design but I hate their outfits so it doesn't look good 6) just put her TCW Jedi General robes things. go off girl (I have 3 AUs in my head that fit that premise let's move on)

Put them together just because. The drawings have nothing to do with each other 7) This one's story is so complex. But it's basically just a design for Jedi Asajj post-Order 66. Might develop work on it more but I love the way it looks

And the other one: If you followed any of my disarrayed Asajj thoughts lately you might have seen my concept of Mon Mothma/Asajj as a ship. They won't leave my mind so I'm trying to figure out how to draw Mon and that one's something of a design for a younger Senator Mon, for their first meeting or smth idk

Cooking Kakashi (insert cooking mama ver kakashi icon... which is a game I would play the hell out of. I want him to like me so bad...)

I love that Kakashi can canonically cook very well and that he likes cooking for his loved ones. Even though the first of those people are no longer here, it brings him a lot of peace to cook for his Alpha.

He likes that he made something with his own two hands that contributes to the joy and health of his loved ones. It’s also an act of living that makes him feel more human and cooking tasty food for himself was one of the things he used to ground himself during his worst moments or when he was alone after missions (a good weapon needs to be able to at least function -> (eventually) I am a person and it's okay to enjoy things because I deserve it).

He was not originally much of an experimenter, but he learned enough about the basics that he was able to start improving upon recipes. His recipes are full of annotations because even though he's got a stellar memory, he's old enough he knows there's only so much space up there. However, half of these notes only make sense to himself. Good luck trying to replicate those dishes...

He's not much of a "collector", anti-clutter Kakashi

So his preferred method of receiving affection is not gift giving.

However, Cooking Kakashi™️ might accept a few things. Recipe books are a little hard because Kakashi has to be interested in more than just two or three things in the book. He typically prefers to decide on these himself. He likes to work through everything in the book and pick out his favorites. If you tell him you want to buy it for him though, he'll let you. A bookshop date, anyone?

The one thing he does love is the cooking supplies you buy him. High quality ceramics, one of a kind glassware, accent-like cups or bowls. If you're careful about only buying a piece here and a piece there, it doesn't build up clutter, and it becomes a nice special occasion kind of gift. Hot pot is not his most favorite meal ever but he loves the donabe you got him.

He also doesn't have a lot of spare nesting materials, but if you can talk him into letting you take him to a nesting supply shop, he'll usually buy something (because he thinks you think he needs more soft things, which makes him feel cared for but can also get overwhelming on occasion).

Overall though, quality time and some physical touch are his preferred ways of receiving affection.

Cat person who has dogs Kakashi

Kakashi shows up whenever he wants or perfectly on time, prefers only certain people and usually small gatherings or being alone (although being alone with his Person doesn't really count as company), has a lot of very, let's call them specific, habits, is incredibly particular about certain things... and is also something of a prankster.

In a way it's very funny because he's the pack leader of his ninken.

Very respectful but incredibly kinky Kakashi.

Consent is sexy and Kakashi is the sexiest because he's the kind of person who won't act without permission. He's also the kind of person who's almost too shy to even think of his Alpha in an explicit way. This isn't a purity thing. It's just a him being shy and feeling undeserving thing. Have to be careful because he's the kind of sub to say "you can do anything to me, I don't mind" and mean it, and part of a long term relationship with Kakashi is teaching him about his own boundaries.

I'm a big fan "yes he does wear that many layers" Kakashi

Part of it is a feeling of security. But it makes me wonder if he just tends to run cold for some reason. Bundle him up in blankets and feed him soup.

The hospital is very grateful for Kakashi's mate. He tends to run away less if his mate is allowed to either stay with him while he recovering and there's a few times where he's been very happy to get discharged home earlier because Tsunade knows someone responsible and capable of getting Kakashi to sit still while he's getting better.

Lazy Kakashi

Kakashi doesn't hate being a ninja. I get the sense that he thinks ninja are necessary in the world, and he's seen both the good and bad that shinobi missions can do. He doesn't hate it, but he's tired of it.

There's a difference between working hard because you have to and because you want to. I'm a huge fan of lazy Kakashi, no work Kakashi! he doesn't want to go on tiring missions anymore and he certainly didn't love being hokage! don't make him! Let him stay at home every day and do whatever he wants to do, let him spend all day in bed with you and a book and his puppies if he wants!

That said, he's been a shinobi so long, he would miss the athleticism if he ever had to leave, he likes being skilled. That's why he goes back to doing non-combat and teaching jobs after retiring. But he leaves plenty of space for well earned leisure time.

Hobby Husband Kakashi

He's used to having somewhat structured time, so sometimes he has trouble picking something to do on his day off. After the war, he also has to figure out how to fill additional hours since he doesn't stare at the memorial stone all the time.

He actually does like to just try new things. He's the type who naturally ends up pretty good at almost everything he tries though so there's not much he pursues more than one or two times. Once he settles in with his mate, he likes to do things with you. It's more fun and fulfilling than doing activities alone. His favorite hobby is reading though. Reading usually gives him an idea of what he might want to try next.

oh i luv that question. I really enjoy some degree of vers in this pairing, but IN MY HEART Laios is a service top and whether he's giving or getting he is prob getting dominated in some way. Like he's submissive towards Chil but a good sub can still fuck you so hard you can't see straight yknow yknow and that's what he is. Also somebody in my fic's comments mentioned Laios dehumanization and I DEF THINK that he would love the feeling of just being a thingie who is loved for what he provides and isn't asked to give anymore than a thingie can.

HOWEVER ALL THAT SAID I have been reading some incredible stuff where Laios is more of a dom and <3 that's beautiful too. love wins. the size kink and power imbalance stuff is most important to me lmaooo

So much of their interaction in canon is Chilchuck trying to get him to behave better and Laios being like On It Boss and fucking it up immediately, so I think it would be. very cathartic. to be in a situation where he can Make That Guy Listen. I'M HAUNTED BY THAT SCENE TOO IT'S INCREDIBLE... the way that Laios could bully him into agreeing w something but never does anything like that instead he's an underhanded little shit about it and guilts him. chilchuck cornering laios to berate and poke him with marcille's staff lives in my head rent free and is a good encapsulation of how i see their relationship in general :3

The reasoning for some of the stuff I've put down on here is so intricate I have to explain it (especially since you have not played yttd. Or played ytts yet as far as I'm aware). Actually thinking about it I'll probably vaguely explain the rest because of that. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Rant under the cut :3

FUCK THE WAR BAR I FORGOT. IMAGINE THAT IS AT MAX WITH A BRACKET SAYING "DEPENDENT" NEXT TO IT OK

Food is very low because Shin canonically can't eat much food. Most food destroys his stomach so he doesn't really care for feeding himself too much (even though he really wants to put on weight, seeing he is severely underweight at 49kg. I think normal weight is like 53kg or smth like that. God). Though he DOES seem to really like the food he can eat (only soup, really) , so that's another reason as to why I gave food a one on the bar. If he could actually digest food properly he'd definitely be a food person.

He's very disabled (chronically ill ver.) coded, and he's very weak and usually exhausted/can be exhausted easily. So his sleep is at max because he very likely sleeps a lot due to it

Sex is none due to the above reasons. Sorry. He would go into cardiac arrest if he were to have sex and that isn't even a joke. Most sexless man ever

Pals is a middle on the bar. Because he has no friends, BUT. When he cares for someone he ends up caring for them a Lot. As well as that he does care for Midori a lot, actually being upset over his "death" iirc. However I have very much deducted points off from that one, simply due to Midori's abuse towards Shin. Midori used Shin's personality to trap him within their abusive relationship easier, so I'm not fully counting it as some of that is definitely the abuse speaking (iirc he also said part of him was somewhat relieved to hear the news).

Love is also high, because when he cares for someone he cares for them a Lot. Kanna, for example. Ended up getting accidentally attached to her and it caused him to abandon his plans to escape the death game alive because if it did that it'd kill her. I can speak a lot about their relationship (I find it so upsetting he never learns that Kanna was his little sister he always wished he had the ability to see. The fuck man) but you know like nothing about her so I won't here. It's only just come to my attention the template probably meant love as in romantic love seeing there was a pal section. But I don't care.

Due to his relationship he develops with Kanna (and how he's so desperate to save her) the war bar is entirely dependent on which route you take, Logic (kill Kanna, Shin lives), or Emotion (kill Shin, Kanna lives). In Emotion Kanna lives and Shin is happy because that's what he wants, not caring that he's going to now die because of it. In Logic though. Shin was paranoid of everyone betraying him the entire death game. And in Logic, once he breaks down his walls and becomes vulnerable, just to try save Kanna, they end up killing her because it's the logical thing to do. Betraying him like he was fearing. And ofc he gets mad, not just because of the betrayal but also everyone voted to have a 13 year old die, What the Fuck. And he becomes hellbent on killing literally everyone there as revenge. Hell, not soon after the main game, he ends up making the Joe AI "evil" to traumatise Sara even more, to the point she forgot Joe completely to cope with it all. He's very much got war as a priority in Logic route.

Crying is very low because that man suppresses so SO much ("Sadness...? I don't think I can make that feeling anymore." And him later on being distressed and upset over Midori being Midori. Wow, someone is a chronic liar!)

Shin is canonically great at things like coding and hacking so I don't think it's out of place for him to be good at videogames. It's also why he has cracked account and such ticked off. Bad Internet is ticked simply because it feels in character.

His kill count. I know he killed Joe. Not with his own hands but he set up the events that caused Joe to die with the intention of getting him killed so I'm counting it. For the life of me I put 2 down and I can't think of the second one. Hmmm. Well. He does kill himself in many meanings of the phrase. So maybe that's it. And ofc the so far is there bc yttd is not complete yet and it is subject to change.

I wasn't too sure what was meant by "moon" or "sunshine" so. I was stumped. UNTIL I remembered the official translation notes.

His surname is moon related. And Sou Hiyori's surname is sun related. How good for me! He's mostly on the moon side (because this is Shin here) but not fully there due to the whole personality and identity stuff that occurs.

He is a fruit because he's certainly not meaty. All I have to say on the subject tbh

Just giving a heads up as I can't add another cut. But one of the images I'm gonna use very soon has some blood in it. It's not too graphic but I wanna make sure I don't jump you with anything you don't want to see <3

Ticked him off as dead, not just because he dies in one route, but he (technically) dies in them all. I refer back to the Logic and Emotion routes. Look at this CG for the Emotion route.

He is wounded fatally because this is the route he dies in ofc. But I bring to notice that he has no scarf in this CG. Now look at the Logic route version of this CG.

Very upset and mad here as you can see. But he also has the scarf. Idk if you caught on to it (only bc you haven't played the game, this is blatant in game) but that's actually Midori's scarf originally! Shin started wearing Midori's scarf after he died, which is why he has it (this is just to clear up questions you may have). Yknow. Midori, the original Sou Hiyori, the evil and abusive and manipulative man, the man whose personality and identity Shin took on to protect himself in the death game. The Emotion CG lacking the scarf shows that he has finally let his walls down, is Shin Tsukimi, his real self, and he dies that way. The Logic CG having the scarf shows that though he may still be alive, the personality, the REAL Shin Tsukimi is dead and long gone. He's been betrayed and horrifically traumatised and so that "weak" personality has been completely discarded in favour of a "stronger" one, Midori's. There's also Shin AI, of which there was technically 2. One on level 2 of the death game building, not a proper AI due to only being there to give info on his character (the 2nd trial was about trust hence why this was a thing). Shin smashes that Shin AI's monitor on secret before anyone has the chance to discover it to conceal his identity. A form of Shin Tsukimi dies. Then there is the other Shin AI – this one is the one people are very most likely referring to when talking about Shin AI. He's a full-on AI of Shin unlike the other one, with his memories and his personality pre death game, kept on a computer in the level 3 computer room for Midori to play around with (Shin can't escape him no matter what...). In both routes, he's the only remaining version of Shin in existence. And though he's scared and reluctant to help the gang at first due to Midori, eventually he does help! And of course once Midori finds out. Punishment. Said punishment was deleting the Shin AI. Slowly. So he could feel the pain of being deleted and the fear of death (he begs Midori to stop and reverse the deletion saying he'd be good and listen to him after and was saying he was so sorry it actually upset me so bad). And so Shin AI, the last version of Shin remaining, dies. And then there is no more Shin. He is ridiculously doomed by the narrative. Ough...can you tell I'm normal over him.

And of course. He's haunted. By Midori especially. Haunted so much by him that he takes on his identity and personality as a form of defense. So haunted that after his death Shin decided to search for him (iirc), "just in case", despite their relationship being so abusive (yeah ik abuse victims are like that for very good reasons. Abuse does Things to you. My point still stands). He even has a manifestation his trauma have Midori's personality iirc (Shadsou) to help make sure he keeps himself on this track of being Midori in case he slips up. Haunted in so many ways...

oh my god i love them. after i finish my akutagawa x reader fic im gonna write so much ango/mushi.

some of my headcanons (starting w the basically canon and going into silly mode):

yeah they're very independent and whole on their own but they COMPLETE each other. ango focuses too much on work to enjoy the finer tihngs in life, and mushi is very indulgent and struggles to face reality. they help each other with what they're missing, they make each other feel better anchored in this world!!!!!

mushi wanted to hate ango for working with the organization that had held mushi hostage, but when he heard that ango only did it to help a dear friend at the behest of a LOST friend, mushi instantly was like "oh shit this man has lost a loved one like i did........" and became OBSESSED with getting to know ango

ango was hesitant to tell mushi anything personal when he started asking, but ango knows mushi killed his boyfriend as a favor to a dying man, he knows there's genuine pain hiding behind the front mushi puts up, and he's curious.

they both think of each other as a man who has lost everything and gone through hell but still trudges forward with confidence and a strong aura, but they don't see themselves that way. they're mirror images of one another!!!!

mushi is way more confident when it comes to intimacy of any kind. hand holding, kissing, screwing, it's mushi leading the way regardless of who ends up in charge by the end. (they're so vers switches, Ango can be dom or top sometimes but he defaults to sub a lot)

ango blushes and gets flustered and whiny when he's embarrassed (canon), which happens a lot because mushi will say vulgar things very nonchalantly regardless of their audience. Dazai knows too much about his friend's love life

they go on double dates with poe and ranpo <3 (and karl)

Mushi is very.............. housewife

Ango basically has to learn everything about how to be in a relationship from Mushi bc he's very inexperienced and hasn't ever prioritized love whereas Mushi is a romantic and a dreamer

At least once Ango has gone away to do secret work related stuff and mushi has just....appeared. Ango can't go anywhere without mushi knowing and totally not bc he bugs ranpo and poe about it so much that they tell him where Ango probably is

Gay Sherlock Holmes Pastiches Review- A Murmuring of Bees

Update: I bought the paperback because I didn't find the kindle version of it. But later I realize you can buy E-book and mobi ver. of this book from the publisher's website. And they have even more that I didn't find before!

I gave this book 4 stars on Amazon and Goodreads. But here I have to be honest, for me, it is 3.5 starts at best, leaning towards 3, and if a friend asks me if they should buy it I probably won't recommend it unless they have quite a bit extra money to spend on random stuff. But like I said in the previous book reviews, I will give these LGBT SH books as high a score as I could on Goodreads and Amazon because there are people giving them 1 star just because they are LGBT.

This book is a collection of short stories. Some are relatively longer, and some are only 1 page long. They are of different ratings as well. Some barely got a kiss, but others contain extended sex scenes. There is also one poem, which I basically skipped. I was much perplexed when I first picked up this book. I could not decide which SH universe it is based on. It first looked like BBC Sherlock, but some of them apparently are not, but more like general SH modern AU. And later on, I flipped over and found ACD canon ones. A few are different AUs such as WW2 or...some randomly timed ones.

I personally don't enjoy BBC Sherlock show itself, but I will never reject well-written fanfics. There is one seemingly BBC-based story in this book that is super cute and I would love to give it a 5-star. Another one that I like the most is based on canon, and that one touched me so deeply that I couldn't get my mind out of it for an entire day. I would say I bump up 1 star just for that story alone. Or I should say the experience with that one story makes the book worth it.

There are a few other ones that are cute and sweet, emotionally pleasing, or otherwise interesting to read. Maybe 3-5 of them impressed me pretty well.

That being said, the rest ~20 of them, meaning the majority of the stories, are just...meh. I forgot most of them already. And there is one particularly...well I don't want to kink shame anyone but I simply can't get the hair-pulling kink and it felt too long and not particularly well written either.

But I am very choosy in terms of fiction reading. I think other than a few ones (maybe ~5 of them? I can't remember, maybe fewer than that) that are very short and clearly have nothing to say, most of them are at least enjoyable at the moment, better than the average ones you could find on AO3, so I am sure more readers would find them a nice read.

• and honestly? you do motivate him

• when you’re with him out of the house usually the other members are there too and they just adore you and taehyun’s relationship

• at night there’s always a window cracked bc he enjoys the fresh air and feel of the outdoors

• you guys usually stay in bed for the rest of the night after showering because you taehyun loves being all over you

• like he can just NEVER get enough of you tbh

• sometimes there’s snacks sometimes there isn’t and you guys just lay there talking or watching a movie or a new show you both started

• being with him is super calming but super fun because you guys talk a lot or make a lot of jokes

• sometimes you guys are just really loving and passionate with each other but it just depends on the day

• everyday brings something new
