I’m ending with the triplets before moving to the couple that started that all.

This one is a little out of line with previous ones, but then, while the theme of these portraits is “Love”, it’s not limited to only romantic and marital types.

Yes, Bruno’s pony counterpart’s name means “brown sugar”:) He’s got affectionate name at birth, yet prefers to stick to nickname Bruno. “Milagros” means “miracles”, and I’ve no idea why it’s not an official name of heroine.

Also, how do you put a hood (or ruana, for that matter) on a unicorn? Like that, I guess. The horn helps hold the hood on, so while it may look ridiculous, it’s actually pretty handy, and you can perform magic being all mysterious without taking it off.

The Madrigals, a well-known unicorn family around Canterlot, took priority in status, academics and talent.

And the Madrigals took great pride in being an all-unicorn family.

The whole family went to a private magic school at some point in their lives, so they were very talented in magic.

Well, until Mirabel was born, who was an earth pony...

Immediately, Alma excluded her. Pepa often screamed at her niece and called her an untalented burden. Isabela often insulted her little sister and gossiped about her with her aunt and Dolores. Camilo played mean pranks on his cousin, Félix enabled his wife and children to act like that, and Julieta and Agustín were too busy to notice it all.

And Bruno? He left the family before Mirabel was born, having enough of the family treating him like crap.

But when Mirabel was 15, she would prove to the family that she was in fact talented, that she was worth something.

An animatronic cat named Rainbow has somehow been transported to the world of Animal Crossing, but has managed to have a comfortable life there. However, a black glitchy mass spreads across the island, infecting almost everyone and everything, including Rainbow’s best friend, Sherb. As the glitch is about to infect Rainbow, they are transported to the credits. Welcome Horizons is playing. They start traveling to different worlds, but Rainbow notices something: it’s all of their fandoms. They are joined by Mirabel and Zim. The trio eventually ends up in a dimension called “The End” (not related to the End in Minecraft), where the survivors have also wound up. Ok I know you’re really into the owl house right now but I was listening to my nostalgia playlist and I wanted your opinion on a thought I had.

Which MLP character(s) would be the Encanto cast’s’ favorites?

See I was listening to What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me and I noticed some similarities between the Mane 6 and the Madrigal Grandkids. So like in a True True Friend Dolores would be Twilight, Antonio is Fluttershy, Camilo is Pinkie Pie, Luisa is Apple Jack, Mirabel is Rarity, and Isabela is Rainbow Dash so instead of weather it’s plant life.

Which also got me thinking who is everyone’s favorite pony? For Example Pepa loves Rainbow Dash. While Julieta likes Celestia. Dolores would be into Cadence and Twilight maybe. Antonio can relate to Fluttershy and Camilo would find Pinkie Pie funny and relatable. Mirabe would probably enjoy Twilight’s journey but love Rarity’s sense of style. Luisa sees a lot of herself in the Apple family especially Apple Jack and Big Mac. Then Bruno would adore Luna. Not sure about Isabela’s favorite.

I actually talked about this on my Instagram stories a WHILE back. I definitely agree Mirabel would enjoy Twilight's journey. Weirdly enough though I think her favorite would be Pinkie Pie? (Her main motivation is trying to help and spread joy to others)

Ofc Antonio's favorite is Fluttershy and Luisa's is Applejack (she might also like Fluttershy, but she mainly relates to Applejack's tendency to overwork herself)

I actually think Isabela's favorite would be Twilight because she relates to her need to be perfect. She might also like Rarity for similar reasons, especially after the Punk Rarity scene

Dolores's favorite is DEFINITELY Cadence. They're both so lovecore. And Dolores would project her and Mariano onto Candence and Shining Armor

Camilo thinks Pinkie Pie is funny and Rainbow Dash is cool (she has weather powers like his mami) but he says Chrysalis is his favorite because she's a shape-shifter. And to annoy Dolores.

As obvious as a choice it is, yes Bruno's favorite favorite pony is Luna, and he relates a lot to her as well. Of the mane six, his favorite would be Fluttershy because he likes how she's the only one who gave Discord a chance.

I've brainstormed an Encanto MLP Au before too. The Triplets are all different types of ponies. Julieta is an Earth Pony, Pepa is a Pegasus, and Bruno is a Unicorn. Bruno also has green magic like all villains in the MLP universe, which adds on to everyone being scared of him.

I also imagine Mirabel is the only one in her family who never got a Cutie Mark (until after the events of the movie?). This image is basically her and Bruno:

Do you ever think about doing a totally crack AU? Like Madrigals in SAW or My Little Pony or Supernatural? Those would be fun, and nuts! I got a thing with Supernatural crossovers.

Definitely! Well, depends what we count as a crack AU. As for these suggestions though…

For SAW… I refuse to put the kids through that because of their ages alone. This also doesn’t strike me as crack? It wouldn’t be anything remotely similar to crack, it would be horrific. If you like the series, great, but it’s really not my cup of tea and I don’t have much desire to make an AU for it - considering I wouldn’t put half the characters in that.

(There is also already a few SAW fics floating around the Encanto AO3 - I’ve never been interested to read any myself but that might be something to check out).

I have considered a MLP AU many a time. I’ve always seen designs floating around and never been satisfied with them, so I did at one point make my own designs for the Madrigals. Those files are long since deleted, so I couldn’t share them. But this is a rather popular AU and I’m not sure if (plot-wise) I’d bring anything new to the table or if anyone would be interested.

I do have an Infection AU (based off the MLP Infection AUs), though it isn’t crack, it might be of interest to you?

And last but not least - I’m only familiar with supernatural in terms of it being a media trope. I didn’t realise it was an actual series until I looked it up for this ask. So… I’m probably the wrong person to make this AU for a show I’ve never even heard of.

My little pony: family is a miracle

So, in this au, Bruno never hid in the walls.

During the night of Mirabel's ceremony, Bruno had his vision and absolutely freaked out. Panicking, Bruno ran into the jungle to leave the encanto. While running, he fell into the same portal Mirabel did. However, Bruno didn't really notice until it was too late.

When he finally noticed he was a pony, he was already in the middle of the everfree forest. Unsure of how to get back home, or if he even wanted to go home, he started a new life in equestria.

He took on the name Sandseer and learned a lot of magic. He eventually moved to Canterlot and worked at Celestia's school as a teacher.

(Also, when Bruno and Mirabel met, they didn't recognize each other, but they did become good friends.)

In honor of the Valentine’s Day, continuation of Madrigals Ponified series (see tag).

While Pepa & Félix may be the most defined couple with vibrant dynamics, these two are my favorites based, well, just on the reason of them being among my favorites individually) Wish we see more of them interacting, but at least there’s some nice developmental official materials of them, if you know. They’re sweet together, cute “old-school” couple honoring some classic Disney married pairs like Anita & Roger or Darlings.

Yes, Julieta’s “pony name” is reference to character of Remedios Moscote from “One Hundred Years of Solitude”.

Agustin’s “pony name” means (very roughly, sorry) “Clairvoyant Heart”.
