I have a lot to say and not enough time to say it. It hurts, but ya’ll know what this is about so if you want my full fandom retrospective opinion thing guys, here.

I’ve been following Vivienne’s art and career since I found her on dA in 2009. I’ve basically grown up with her and have a wide range of opinions up and down her collective work. I must stress that I do not know her as a person and no matter how critical I get in my personal time if I somehow met her in real life or converse with her online again (like, back in the day we went back and forth. She was pretty nice to me), I’d be humble and congratulate her for her success.

Critique does not, EVER equate to attacking people.

But

the reason I don’t call myself a VivziePopVivzmind-fan is the exact same as to why I don’t like the proud use of ‘anti’. Let me try and explain -

The vast majority of Viv fans are just that: fans. Viv’s one of their favorite artists and they’re happy for her and obviously defensive when some mouth breather pops into their fan discussion calling her and all of them trash. Quite a lot of the Hazbin fans I know in my circle of friends are all pretty accepting and agree on the problematic notions and implications of her work.

HOWEVER, there’s a vocal minority in the VivziePop fandom that were and still are toxic. Their specific interest in Viv back in the day was toxic...and now that she’s moved on into a successful career I doubt they’ve gone away, considering the things I’ve heard. These people - they’d flood Viv’s comments sections and stuff with messages like they were talking to her when they weren’t and they’d unironically call her a god in a way that feels like gaslighting, ex: “I’ll NEVER be as good as you Viv! My art is just sooooo unpopular oh god you are incredible no one will ever like you as much as meeeee”. It made me uncomfortable. It made me not want to be around her because these people took Viv’s role in their lives so seriously and their demand for her attention...it struck a nerve.

These same fans have been around long enough to see actual shitlords - the likes of Kiwifarms and tapatalk wikis - come in and actually harass Viv. Viv’s been sent revenge porn by sick freaks who think they’re funny and believe she deserves it. No. In my non-name fan bystander opinion, Viv’s got some shit to work on, but no one deserves raperevenge porn. EVER. It was genuinely bad and yes Viv and her base have every reason to NOT TRUST these communities. Unfortunately, when these incidents happened, these particular fans took it upon themselves to gatekeep the fandom and act like Viv’s unofficial guard against any kind of decenting opinion of her, all without her say so.

((to the critics who will be all “but Viv or Faust said THIS to their fans-”, like I said, Viv’s far from perfect but regardless of how much she prolly wanted people to side with her I’m gonna guess that she didn’t want people sending transphobic death threats to DollCreep. Again, and this is coming from a bystander here, I have a feeling Viv knows about some of the toxicity but doesn’t know how/want to address it - which is a conversation all it’s own.))

This particular breed of VivziePop “fan” holds so much toxicity in her fandom(s). They aren’t the only cause, but they’re there. They feel entitled to her attention and her approval. They creep me out. Having spoken to other much-less critical admitted fans of Viv around me, these fans appear to creep everyone else out and put the rest of the fandom on edge. They’re gatekeepers. They’re creeps. Like the bronies and SU fans of yestertodayyears, they know harassment exists and that people have crossed the line - so they think any means is necessary to prevent that is automatically good. I could pile together all the incidents and folks who’ve had bad runs ins with this aftershock of Viv-obsession, but I do have a life of my own and this post is already stupid long so I’ll just list out the biggest examples and provide receipts when asked.

Critical blogs have gotten RAPE and death threats because they don’t like Viv’s art. HonestZoophobiaCriticisms, a blog I interracted with back in the day, def got one. Now Viv’s opinion of crit-blogs is that they’re “bad takes” but I can assure you she doesn’t want that shit being said on her behalf.

I’ve seen young artists get blacklisted from sites and forums cause they so much as post a redesign. Viv and co get told through the grapevine that someone’s making hatespeech and so preemptively block said person (prolly cause they’re in the middle of WORKING and can’t deal right now) only to find out after the fact that no, it was just a kid drawing their version of her characters. There’s serious miscommunication issues within the fandom about who’s ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and once you get the actual staff involved in this game of telephone you’re begging for trouble. The problem acknowledged, however, it’s souly from the “Viv never did anything wrong camp”. No word is said about how ugly the fandom is under the surface it’s all one type of person’s fault and not complicated’. Blah

I’ve only ever had ONE obsessive ‘fan’ who’d stalk me, mock me, and then redraw my art just to get attention from me. That shit fucked with my head. As a follower hundreds of miles away from Viv who’s agreed/disagreed with her through the years - I absolutely believe her when she says she hates ‘creeps’ and that she doesn’t want anyone in her fandom spreading hate on her behalf. It’s the one thing about her I’m POSITIVELY sure of. Whether she believes that said underlying harassment exists and/or is even a problem within her fandoms is anyone’s guess. That’s not what I’m here for. I’m here to write stupid blog entries like this, talk about fandoms and media and how they and the real world affect one another, and rb fan art I like. I’m cautiously optimistic fan with a side of salt.

Mixed opinions and critique within a fandom CAN and SHOULD exist. Hazbin Hotel has been greenlit by a studio! It has a product line of merchandise you buy. Helluva Boss is getting eight more episodes this coming year (yeeee:3yeeee). Two of Viv’s properties are now products. Nothing is immune from critique. And in critique you will find a lot of people who are not ‘nice’. Critique or analysis doesn’t have to be nice. There will be, in Viv’s words’ ‘bad takes’ on her writing. Maybe they will be actual CinemaSins-styled bad takes or maybe Viv is just mad that people don’t love and feel inspired by her characters the way she wants them to - it’s a fact she’s going to have to get used to.

((TBH, I’m pretty sure she’s already realized that criticism of all types need to exist. It’s just that, again, her and the SpindleHorse staff are kind of overwhelmed by all matter of takes and opinions coming their way they kinda can’t deal weeding out the fair ones from the assholes, so she lumps them all together.))

Shitposters, ironic fans, unironic fans, critical fans, just critics of Hazbin and Helluva CAN and WILL exist. They should exist and not feel threatened by the megafandom. There are people out there who are one step further and rightfully bothered by Hazbin/Helluva’s use of incorrect symbols, portrayal of certain topics, and the response by creators. These people have strong opinions and are actually disgusted by Viv. They deserve to exist too and should not be vilified because, like me, they’re commentary doesn’t consist of anything personal towards the people at Spindlehorse or the fans of her works. They can rant, they can be professional, they can be petty and they can be fair. But they will exist. You have to deal with it.

I am an ADD/OCD ridden autistic woman with serious anxiety issues who has no one to talk to half the time and so only HAS my fandom to communicate with. But that’s just it - it’s a fandom. A community. You have to learn to not think souly of yourself and of others in a community. A fandom doesn’t exist just for you or any one person. You have the right to be angry and defend or be offended. And it’s in the spirit of that that I ask, prrraaaaaay even, that I please

NOT BE CALLED AN “ANTI-ANTI” for not liking the moniker?!

I DON’T TO BE AN “ANTI”. Not ironically, not unironically. ‘Anti’ should be for politics and shit like pedophiles, necrophiles, nazis, serial killer stans, Trump, racists, antisemites, terfs, animal abusers, rapists, and antivaxxers. Anti should only come into critical media analysis when these ethical issues follow suit IN TO fandom discussion. ((EX: Anime and MLP proudly waving their cp and non-con into the public eye; Hazbin appropriating cultural symbols which are not satanic; Basically anything that concerns John K or Butch Hartman.))

If your DNI list unironically consists of the entirety of one fandom: CONGLATURATIONS! You have done the exact same thing these particular creepy Viv fans have done: monopolize the conversation. And yes, people I’m referring to, IT’S STILL A PROBLEM EVEN IF YOU’RE FIGHTING RACISM/SEXISM/HOMOTRANSPHOBIA.

There are hundreds of Vivziefans who ARE more critical, accepting of faults, interested in discussion and especially rewrite and redesign stuff who would LOVE to engage with you and give you a follow. There’s hundreds of people who no doubt agree with you!

But the thing I’ve seen these very proud AntiHazbinVivzieHelluvaWhatever blogs do is lash out at fans for continuing to like Viv and consume Viv’s art in a healthy way. What the actual fuck is your problem?

I get it. Say a crazy Hazbin fan gets on your case for even SUGGESTING Viv could be homophobic ((”SHE’SBIANDWORKSWITHGAYPPLblahablahblah”)). They get in your face, make some callouts, try to rile up support against you, leave disgusting harassment throughout your social media? Absolutely ban worthy. After that it’s perfectly understandable why you don’t want to engage with anything HHHBZPVivzierelated because you’re so fucking tired of being labeled an abuser or “just jealous” for having an opinion on a show you don’t like. I’m with you!

But,

A fan agrees that something in the canon is bad or that Viv did something they don’t like?

A fan likes your silly shitpost meme?

A fan asks if they can like Hazbin and follow you at the same time?

A fan does fan art of something you don’t like?

If your response to any of these ^^^ things is to get LOUD and accusatory, Vivsplain them about how they’re an absolutely awful person to ever question YOUR opinion, or just block them without a second thought? You’re a petty, vendictive shit and you also need to learn to let things go. I’m sorry but you do. As I already said, Viv’s work is a brand at this point, not just the work of a singular person. As such, there are gonna be mixed opinions and you can’t judge every single one of these people by what they like. You’re a shitty critic with a shitty attitude and yes that will demean the value of what you’re saying. This is bad because, if you’re trying to point out how Angel Dust’s abuse IS handled terribly; gay rep in Viv’s work is weak and terrible; the show appropriates closed practices; the fandom makes excuses for predatory artists and creepy behavior and individuals who have sketchy pasts - I’M WITH YOU. WE NEED TO BE TALKING ABOUT THIS SHIT. JUST BECAUSE THESE ARE ADULT CARTOONS SET IN HELL MEANS THERE SHOULD BE ANYTHING CLOSE TO 2013 PONY-TUMBLR. <<<---- this shit is as important to me as it is to you and I really don’t like being called an abuser or apologist for saying “hey maybe blowing up at ppl for the shows they like ISN’T the way to go about this”.

But I have, just like the good old days of 2015 Zoophobia of yore, been blocked because I admit to being tired of ‘Anti’ being equated to ‘critical’. Same with hater.

Critical DOES NOT = Anti+Hater. I’m fucking tired of people saying it does and I’m tired of people taking up the term as some weird form of fandom reappropriation. It’s stupid.

Tl;dr: Once upon a time, I was in a budding fandom for something I liked made by an indie artist I watched on dA. I wanted to be a bigger fan than I was already, but was told by toxic people within said fandom that I couldn’t be part of it for reasons they’d made up in their head about my ‘motives’ against Viv. My admiration for Viv or what I liked about Zoophobia didn’t matter because I thought the story was really rushed and people weren’t being truthful with how they really felt about it - ergo, I HAD TO GO.

Flash forward 8 years later- My opinion of Viv’s body of work has changed but I still find myself in love with her style and some of her characters. I want to be on a forum or service that gives a healthy look at the problems there are with this series and fandom...and I’m met repeatedly by petty bs where people are again at each other’s throats. And yes, I do think it’s causing more harm than good especially when you insist there’s a “x person shouldn’t be trusted” mentality when fighting actual fucking racist, xenophobic, predatory bullshit.

The first time you meet Arthur, he was hella intrigued.

You couldn't sleep that first night you came to the mansion due to some crazy scary nightmares. You made your way down to the kitchen to make yourself a cup of coffee. As you entered into the dark kitchen you noticed a figure by the fridge, it was the mystery writer himself. At the sound your your footsteps entering into the kitchen he promptly shut the fridged and closed the distance between the two of you. He stared down at you with his ocean blue eyes gleaming in the darkness. That is when Sabastian joined the two of you in the kitchen carrying a clear crystal bottle with what appeared to be a thick red liquid inside. You eyed the bottle curiously, and that's when Arthur had revealed the Mansions secret to you as he downed it. You were honestly pretty shocked, but when Arthur got up close to you, you instantly believed him as staining the collar of his shirt was undeniably the crimson red colour of blood.

You rushed back to your room freaking out, coffee long forgotten and somehow throughout the evening, you managed to pass out. You woke up to Comte sitting beside your bed with some breakfast. He spent the morning telling you all about the residence and the exact situation that you had managed to find yourself in. As Comte continued to explain the situation to you, you drifted off into a world of your own, replaying the previous night's events. You thought about Arthur and decided to low key forgive him for scaring you that previous night, as he was simply being honest, even though he could have done it in a less dramatic way.

You spent the day in your room, reading and writing. You didn't exactly feel like interacting with the residents, not cause of them being vampire but simply because you just didn't like social interaction in general, plus it had been a while since you last had time to completely relax.

The next morning you woke up and made your way down to the kitchen. You started a fresh pot of bitter black coffee, just the way you like it and who should walk into the kitchen and steal the very cup of coffee you had been excited to drink…. Non-other than Arthur himself. "Hey, that's mine, if you want coffee, then I suggest you make your own," you scolded the author with a frown and grumbled sarcastic remarks at him under your breath as you move to make yourself a fresh cup. Arthurs's eyes gleamed in excitement you certainly were a feisty little creature. The two of you took your sarcastic banter to the dining room as breakfast was being served. You weren't really one for social interaction, but you did enjoy the back, and forth you had with Arthur. Usually, no one could keep up with your quickfire of witty remarks and sarcastic comeback, but here Arthur was, holding his own against you.

When the next morning rolled by the exact same thing happened, Arthur yet again stole your freshly brewed cup of coffee, you let the first time slide but this time you narrowed your eyes at him plotting your revenge. Little did this mystery writer know, you were a rather vindictive kind of person. The next morning just as you predicted, Arthur showed up to steal your morning cup of coffee, except this time it wasn't coffee that he found himself drinking but a concoction of warm sludgy, muddy water. He spat it out and started rinsing his mouth under the kitchen tap, "serves you right," you legit couldn't hold back your laughter and hosed yourself laughing, watching the expression of disgust form on Arthur's face, "oh revenge certainly is sweet." This, my dear, is how the revenge war started between you and Arthur. Since that day, he would pull small pranks on you to get revenge, and you would plot a prank twice as good to get him back. You honestly enjoyed this little game the two of you played and even though you never like social interaction if it was with Arthur, you honestly didn't mind.

Speaking of games, one day, you walked into the game room to find Arthur and Isaac battling it out over a game of chess. You stood in the doorway next to Theo to watch the intense match between the two. Theo had warned you never to play a game against Arthur unless you wanted to lose, as he had never lost a single game in his life. You low key scoffed and laughed as it seemed he was losing at your little game of revenge, as his pranks were becoming more and more predictable. Issac hung his head in defeat, having lost yet another match against Arthur and now earning himself the nickname A-chan. You patted Isaac on the back and challenged Arthur to a game, winner takes all loser takes non. He simply shook your hand and smilingly accepted the bet

You challenged him to a game of rummy, and for the first time in Arthur’s life, he was sweating. You were definitely a tough opponent, and your observational skills were like his, second to none. The game had ended in a draw, so the two of you played another round one which you had managed to win by the skin of your teeth. You stood up, smiling triumphantly, and that's when he challenged you to a rematch. The two of you spent the afternoon playing various board games and trash-talking each other. You honestly loved playing games and playing against someone who could provide you with a good challenge definitely made it more enjoyable. You and Arthur actually added this to your list of fun activities to occasionally do together. It was always something which both of you looked forward to as it was always filled with laughter and witty banter.

Arthur quickly realized that you were incredibly smart and had a keen sense for picking up on finer details. So he invited you to tag along and play detective with him, helping him to solve some cases around town. TBH he pretty much pestered you into helping him, until you finally cracked one day. However, after having so much fun using your combined skills to solve a case you and Arthur teamed up and became the towns mystery solvers. Two of you work many a case together. Arthur legit loves working on various cases with you as this means he can spend more time with you and get to know you even better.

You guys stumble on a case where the owner of a beautiful Germain Sheppard had kept the poor dog chained up in the backyard. As Arthur chatted with the owner, you went over to pat the dog, and that's when the blood drained from your face in horror. The poor dog was incredibly thin, and you could see scars all over his body from being abused. To top it all off there had even been fresh wound on his leg. You looked over to see that the poor had no access to fresh clean water, and looked incredibly thirsty. You opened your bag to retrieved your bottle of water, you poured some water in a small dish for the dog. The poor thing must have been incredibly thirsty as he drank up every last drop of water. Your heart broke in two, and you didn't want to leave the poor animal in this cruel man's care. Just then, the man came out with Arthur and was incredibly rude with you telling you to get away from his dog. That afternoon as you and Arthur walked back home, the poor dog had been on your mind. Arthur stop abruptly and stared down at you curiously, "you know luv, I would do anything you ask, all you have to do is say the word. I do hate to see you looking so down. So tell me what is it I can do to bring that beautiful smile back to your face." You had never seen Arthur look at you with so much love and worry before, he had always been a bit of a pain in the ass, but during the past few weeks, you couldn't help but fall in love with him. And at the moment with him staring at you so earnestly, you had realized you really had fallen for this man standing before you.

Once the two of you got back home, you made your way to Arthurs room where you poured your heart out and told him that you hated rude people and you couldn't stand it when animals were being abused. Arthur simply nodded and smiled, "well then, what do you say we go and rescue that sweet dog from the clutches of the evil villain." You nodded and rolled your eyes slightly, trust the writer to create a story out of every situation. The two of you now sat side by side at the dining room table, each with a cup of bitter coffee in hand, planning the poor dog's daring rescue.

That night the two of you had successfully managed to save the poor dog. It took no effort at all for you to convince Comte to let you keep the cutie. After speaking with Comte about keeping the pet as your own, you walked back to your room, smiling at the memories you had created that night. Not only had you managed to rescue an animal in need, but after your daring rescue, you and Arthur were so excited at a job well done that he kissed you. On the walk home, you and Arthur had confessed your feeling for one another, and thus a new chapter in your life had officially started.

Often you could be found in the garden playing with your new pet. The second Arthur would hear the excited barks of the two dogs, he would put his pen down and rush downstairs to join the fun. He couldn't help but smile like a fool at the scene before him before joining in. The two of you would spend most afternoons playing with the animals while laughing and just having the best time together.

You had actually been the one to introduce Arthur to gardening, as a therapeutic way for both of you to relax and unwind. Plus this pale British boy had never seen a drop of sunshine in his life, thanks to always being cramped up in his room writing, so it did him a world of good to get out of his room once a while to soak up that sweet vitamin D

Arthur, like you, has had to deal with a lot of pain from the past, so he never ever did mention anything about your scars to you. He knew that if you wanted to talk about them, you would. And you did, one day after he had told you all the traumas of his past and why it had taken him so long to confess his feelings for you, you told him about your past. That day the two of you completely let your guards down and let each other in. Arthur did everything in his power to be by your side whenever you were feeling insecure about your scars. You best be sure this boi will hold you tight and tell you how perfect and beautiful you are. If that doesn't work to quieten down your insecurities he will show you with action how much he loves and adores every inch of you.

Often the two of you cuties can be found just chilling together in Arthur's room. He would be slouched over his desk, writing the newest chapter, and you would be cuddled up on his couch reading about the latest topic of interest. When Arthur discovers that you also dabble in writing, he was legit over the moon. He would always insist you read your latest piece of writing to him as he rests his head on your lap, while you lazily pull your finger through his ocean locks. The two of you cuties would also sit and talk and talk for hours in deep conversation about anything and everything.

If the two of you aren't engaged in some kind of battle of wits, you are nestled in Arthur's arms as the two of you just enjoy a peaceful moment together wrapped in each other's warmth, each in a daydream of their own. Don't be surprised if this playboy drops a few sneaky kisses on your face as you comfortably rest in his arms, daydreaming away.

Greenhouse Academy S1-4

Preface: So, I finally have gotten around to writing a review about S1-4 of Greenhouse Academy. I finished over a week ago and watched all 4 seasons in about 4 days haha. Honestly, I’ve been procrastinating this review because I have A LOT to write about. So here we go!

Plot: Eight months after losing their astronaut mother in a rocket explosion, brother and sister Alex and Hayley Woods enroll at a private boarding school, the Greenhouse, for gifted future leaders. Separately, they join two competing houses, Ravens and Eagles, within the school and tension builds up between the two siblings as they adjust. Soon, mysterious events catch the attention of the students from both houses and forces them to work together in order to find out what is happening at the draw the Greenhouse.

Review: 3.5/5

I found the plot really intriguing at first. In addition, I liked the actual events that happened and where the story could head in the future. Though, the execution was not as great. The acting I felt was good for the most part, but the writing seemed a little awkward and cringey at some points. But bear in mind that it is targeted at kids/teens (even though at some points in season 3 and 4 there were some curses thrown around) so it is kind of expected to have those moments. Either way, those moments are bearable to watch through. I personally liked season 1+2 more than season 3+4 for the most part. There is one main issue I have with this show, but I can’t describe it without spoiling it. So, continue reading if you’ve watched the show/don’t care about being spoiled (It’s mostly about season 3+4).

But the main issue I have were the character changes. The obvious ones are the actual cast changes for Emma and Brooke. And the fact that Jackie left... that broke my heart. I still have this naive hope that she will come back though. It sucks that the original actresses could not continue with season 3 and 4, but you can’t really blame anyone since those decisions are based on personal reasons. It’s hard not to prefer the original actresses because well they are what we are used to. Though, I can’t understand why everyone is hating on them sooooo much. I personally think they were fine at acting. The REAL problem was the writing. In season 3 and 4, the personalities of so many characters were switched and the plots were messier.

To start off, the whole love triangle between Daniel-Hayley-Leo was annoying. I DID ENJOY Daniel and Hayley, but Leo was just being a dick for the entirety of season 3. Obviously Leo was already a bit of an ass with the whole Aspen and LDR drama, but in season 3 the writers just made him 10x that (especially with the whole leading Beca on and straight up insulting Hayley at every chance he got). As you can tell I’m not a big fan of Leo, but the thing that got me is that the writers made Daniel such a jealous boyfriend? It seemed really out of character to me for Daniel to go through Hayley’s text like that and be paranoid of Leo (I mean hello this is the guy that is just straight up insulting your girlfriend and cheated on her. I don’t think you have that much competition or so I thought -- ending of season 4 was annoying). Like I know he was probably scared of Hayley getting back with Leo because of the Brooke and Alex thing, but honestly he knew that his relationship with Brooke was already sinking before Alex came into the picture. Plus, Hayley wasn’t flirting with Leo like Brooke was with Alex in Season1+2. The only good part about this love triangle was how supportive and understanding Daniel was with Hayley at the end. I mean done get me wrong I was thrown off by the huge 180 his personality took, but I’m just gonna believe that Daniel is just that good of a guy to be that mature. Anyway I’m just gonna end it with I prefer Dayley because their relationship felt more real (also I’m so glad that she told Daniel about the button and secret room right away and the writers avoided the keeping secrets to protect you which leads to tension trope because I would have imploded if they did that) and I want to erase the ending of season 4 from my head.

Next up: Emma and Max. Honestly in the first episode when I learned that Jackie was gone and both Emma and Max started lying about being in LDRs, I knew the writers were gonna try and pair them up. I had hope that they would pull a twist and have Jackie show up in the middle, but NOPE. Like this pairing is just super... boring? Like they are both sweet characters, but they really don’t bring that much to the table in terms of romantic chemistry. I liked them better as best friends who geek out together. And because the writers focused so much about their relationship it left almost no room for actual individual screen time or character development for either of them. Like all they did was use some algorithms and their intelligence to solve some seriously hard problems, but it made them seem more like robots and tools to solve the conflicts in the plot. All I have left to say is that I still ship Jackie+Max.

Now I wanna talk about Alex and Brooke. Tbh I never saw much chemistry between the two characters in any season. Like yeah Alex was a good guy that was with her at the right time when she went to the cave at night in like season 1 where he fought off the park ranger, but still it didn’t feel like a real relationship. This continues into season 3+4 and I was sooo happy when they broke up (but why did she have to do it during a basketball game? Heat of the moment I guess) Also, even when Alex was “trying to be a good friend” to Brooke, it came off that he was still trying to get back together with her even though it is obvious that she is just not ready? And near the end of season 4 after she talks to Jason in the hospital when she and Alex were talking, I cringed so hard when he admitted that he was having trouble being just friends because it felt to me that he was trying to guilt trip her into getting back together with him which is just so wrong?!?! Again, I wish to delete this scene from my brain.

Lastly I wanna share my opinions about Sophie, Parker, and Enzo. Let me start out by saying I think in season3+4, Sophie was my favorite character. I mean come on how could I not love her? She is determined to chase her ambitions like the bad ass she is even with her past (which I’m super mad that they didn’t really delve into her past because that could have made the show a lot more interesting). I also liked the introduction of a character like Enzo since it brings a new kind of person into the show and makes it more realistic because for the most part these kids seemed a little “too perfect.” Though, the writers didn’t use him to the full potential that he has which sucks for the viewers and the actor too and based on what we saw he is pretty good. Anyway I liked how he is actually a softie at heart and does the right thing for Soph. Now I wanna talk about the Sophie+Parker ship. Honestly, are the writers trying to pair up literally all the students together?!?! Again like Emma and Max, I felt that this wasn’t a real relationship; we’ve barely seen these two have any romantic chemistry and I view them more like a good pair of friend (class clown/funny + class president/serious dynamic is something I love). That’s all.

Quick opinion: Louis just felt off since the S3. I mean I get that he wants to better the students, but causing fights seemed wayyyy out of line for his character. So that was weird.

Anyway that was all of my thoughts (at least for now) about Greenhouse Academy! Even though it seems like I hate the series based on my complaints above lol I actually really liked it and hope for a season 5 (crossing my fingers) where the writers and other staff can hopefully redeem themselves by fixing the problems above. Yes! Steven rilling Andrew up is an daily thing tbh. I loved your observations on the last 3eps of worth it. The sounds they made in the savory pie ep were WILD, get a room (with only one bed lol, classic theme that i enjoy even if it's cliche❤️). Btw do you know this fic called sweet stuff? I rec it, Steven + dress is *chef kiss*. Also off topic i love those AU in which Andrew is a history teacher and Steven is an engineer and both are basically nerd af but in the cutest way possible

Steven, no matter how innocent, is just too naive at times to resist! He does things that are so innocent, and tbh, it sometimes flies by me as well, but Andrew always always notices so tbh, sometimes Steven doesn't even have to try and rile Andrew up lmao bitch gets riled up on his own

And Worth it’s last three ep’s? We all can just clearly see the heart eyes Steven and Andrew give each other. IT’S THAT STRONG. QUARANTINE CAN’T CONTAIN THEM lmao Also, I remember that part with Steven talking about soulmates and such, him calling him and Andrew soulmates and that’s just *sighs dreamily* they truly do love each other that much (PS: I keep forgetting to gif that part, I’ve been so busy recently lol)

AND YES YES, I KNOW THAT FANFIC IT IS FUCKING AMAZING UGHHHHHH ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ It’s one of the few fics I always re-read (most of the fics I reread are either smut or age-regression tbh) Steven is a dress iss sooooo good, especially when he’s in his cute pastel fluffy element. That fanfic was an amazing mixture of fluffy and smutty and goddddd, the author really delivered to us! THEY MADE A MASTERPIECE *chef kiss as well*

Okay, so let’s start it off like this:

Shane and Andrew work at the same university, they’re both history teachers so let’s just make this a huge university (idk how it is in America, but my old uni had double professors at times lol). Shane is trying to invite Andrew and Adam to one of their outings because Shane wants his fellow professor to go out and enjoy, he thinks Andrew is too focused on his work needs to loosen up a bit.

Andrew, begrudgingly, finally agrees as long as Adam goes along with him (Adam didn’t need to be persuaded, because he had a very healthy social lifestyle thank you very much).

They meet at this swanky bar where Shane is off to meet his boyfriend Ryan. Ryan, incidentally, brought along his bestfriend Steven who just RECENTLY CAME OUT AS GAY. Ryan is trying to show his bestfriend a good time and maybe *nudge nudge* set him up with someone cute while he’s at it.

OH OH I WANT A LOVE TRIANGLE BETWEEN ADAM AND ANDREW AND STEVEN.

Adam really, only went along cuz he’s actually been pinning on Andrew for a while now, but Andrew hasn’t really noticed because too busy with work duh.

So the three of them meet at the bar and Andrew is actually pretty interested at Steven, he thinks he’s cute, he’s funny, and he has that bubbly personality that draws Andrew in... Too bad he looks like he’s more attracted to Adam though.

Adam flirts a little with Steven and they get along swimmingly well and it only adds to Andrew’s sour mood because hey he’s supposed to be having a good time, but the only guy he’s interested in doesn’t seem to notice him that much

So, the night ends, Adam gets Steven’s number and Andrew is just pissed off

Days pass, Steven and Andrew meet by accident!

Well, not entirely, because Shane actually invited Steven over to his class because he wanted Steven to demonstrate the history of chemicals when it came to the revolution of man and who better to explain chemistry than a chemist himself!

So, Steven asks Andrew if he could help him find Shane because he got lost since the university is big and Andrew, seriously, Steven is cute and Andrew is a decent guy so he helps Steven out and they get to talking and one thing led to another, they’re getting coffee after work hours! Andrew is really not trying to get his hopes up, this is just a simple coffee, Steven just wants to take a break and all that.

So they get coffee, they talk alot, Steven is a big nerd with history as well and Andrew is all the more intrigued with him. Steven explains more the history of chemicals and such, and he’s so passionate and knowledgeable in his field that Andrew just can’t help but listen to him babble on and on about it.

Then, Steven stops, looks at Andrew shyly and says “Sorry, I sometimes get carried away, hope I’m not boring you.”

And Andrew’s all like shaking his head and saying “No, I love listening to you talk.” And Steven gets all blushy and happy and woah, Andrew loves seeing that.

By the end of their coffee “date”, Steven ends up inviting Andrew to a convention. And to both of their surprises, it’s a CAT CONVENTION THAT THEY BOTH PLANNED ON ATTENDING. They both end up showing pictures of their cats, Steven with Simba and Andrew with Riceball and Wellington.

So Andrew is just really charmed, he really likes Steven and he can’t wait for their next ehem, “date”. He’s so excited he tells his bestfriend Adam about it.

Adam, although he did like Steven, has been pinning for Andrew for a long time now. So on the day of the cat convention, both Steven and Andrew meet Adam there as a surprise, Adam ambushed them lmaooo

Adam makes up some bullshit excuse about coming here because he was in the neighborhood and he thought he’d drop by, Andrew is suspicious because why would Adam suddenly come here? What is his ulterior motive here?

So the three of them hang out and Steven is a bit flustered because he likes BOTH Andrew and Adam and this is a bit awkward and there’s some tension here and there so yeah

So the convention ends and they all bid their goodbye’s, and Steven is a tiny bit upset because he wanted to really hang out with Andrew but, he was feeling shy around Adam. Yet at the same time, Adam didn’t really even call him back after that night at the bar.

So lo and behold! Andrew suddenly texts Steven on his way home, he wanted to know if Steven wants to hang out again and this time, maybe just the two of them? Andrew isn’t going to drop the date word yet, he wants to say it face to face cuz he’s that type of guy and Steven happily agrees!

SOOOO THEY GO ON “DATES” , Andrew hasn’t really dropped the date word yet, but Steven is always taking him on so many different places and good restaurants to eat at and the more Andrew spends time with Steven, the more he actually think that he may be falling in love and fuckkkk

wait, I want this to end in Stadamdrew

So, let’s develop Steven and Adam’s relationship this time.

Steven gathers up his courage and contacts Adam, he was planning on just telling Adam that it was nice to see him again after the cat convention. Adam decides to entertain Steven for now and they talk through text and woah, they actually really have a lot in common as well!

Steven is into photography and good books, they also have the same music tastes so they exchange and give recommendations to each other a lot. Steven told Adam that it’s okay if they’re just friends and he just wanted to hang out with him. Adam sees that there’s nothing wrong with giving the guy a chance so they go on book “dates” together and go to music stores and laugh a lot and watch shitty movies together to make fun of and oh

oh no, Adam is actually genuinely starting to like Steven and fuck, this was not how he was intending for this to go but like, Steven is really great and he loves his smile, his laugh, and he is such a smart and talented person and fuckkk Adam got so whipped over Steven that he doesn’t even know why he didn’t bother to call Steven again after that night at the bar!

Meanwhile, Steven is having a crises! Oh no!

He likes both Adam and Andrew and they’re both bestfriends and fuckk!! Okay, he thinks that maybe they’re both just really nice and they aren’t really interested in him but, Steven really likes both of them and gosh, this is not how he wanted things to go down in his life right now

I’m thinking Andrew would make he first more here, like he would officially ask Steven out and Steven would be really ecstatic because like YES!! He does really like Andrew and gosh, he is so so happy to be dating him and they’re both having a great time together and Shane and Ryan keep teasing them and well...

Everything is great, but they both notice that Adam has become really distant and quiet recently. He’s been cancelling on hanging out and he doesn’t really talk to them that much anymore and Andrew is more concerned because Adam is best friend and he’s never seen Adam be like that, not since, he ehem got his heart broken so Andrew wants to make his friend happy again

Steven comes along to help out and they annoy Adam almost every day until Adam SNAPS and he gets pissed at both of them and then all confessions break out that Adam is actually really REALLY happy for them but at the same time he’s really not?! Because he likes both Andrew and Steven, and he’s really been pinning over Andrew for the longest time now and now that he’s seeing both Steven and Andrew together, two guys he really likes, he’s just really sad and jealous and he walks out and Andrew and Steven are stunned.

The boyfriends do a sleepover at Andrew’s place and they talk about it and Andrew realizes that oh fuck he really likes Adam as well and wow, Steven also really likes Adam and he was having a crisis before because he wanted to both date Andrew and Adam and damnnnn

So the ending is basically Steven and Andrew woo-ing Adam to become their boyfriend and it becomes a happy OT3 Stadamdrew ❤️ The End ❤️

Joel respected the fact that you were a distrustful person. He really did. But he was getting antsy because he knew there was something you weren’t telling him.

When you first met each other, he’d immediately been attracted to your stunning smile and sugary sweet personality. You were nice to everyone, but still honest and never afraid to speak your mind. He’d asked you out after a couple of weeks of knowing you, but as he spent more and more time with you, he came to the realisation that you were weary around him. You hesitated in telling him certain things, and always spoke in a cautious manner, like you were giving all your sentences careful consideration so as not to reveal anything.

He hadn’t said anything about it, but eventually his patience was rewarded and you warmed up to him. He had wormed his way into your heart and mind, and the two of you started a happy relationship. You trusted him more, and was able to let loose more freely around him.

But he knew you were still keeping a secret from him. It was a nagging gut feeling he had; like a default boyfriend sensing sort of system that told him you weren’t telling him something. He really really wanted to know what it was, but he didn’t want to push you. You were the type of person to reveal less things the more a person pushed and insisted.

So he just left it and hoped you would cave.

And you would tonight.

Joel was lying in bed with you after an intimate session, bodies glistening with sweat and clothes strewn over the floor. His right arm was wrapped round your shoulders, tenderly caressing your skin, while his left arm was behind his head. Your head rested on his chest, the both of you bathing in the comfortable silence. The only thing that could be heard in your apartment was your breathing.

“You were a little rough today,” you finally broke the silence.

Joel shifted his gaze to you the same time you looked up, a tiny smile making its way onto your face.

“You say that like you didn’t enjoy it,” he teased, eyes flickering down to your lips as you pulled you bottom lip between your teeth. You hummed, pulling your gaze away from him. You brought your fingers up, tracing circles onto his skin lightly. Your touch was like a feather, and it made goosebumps appear on his arms. Joel didn’t keep his eyes off of you.

“You okay?” he asked. He wasn’t sure what exactly motivated him to ask you that. Maybe he wanted to check in to make sure if you were really alright after how hard he went, or maybe it was another vague attempt to get you to talk to him.

“Yeah. I am,” you replied softly, pausing your invisible drawings on his pectorals.

“I love you.”

You looked up at Joel again, a little startled this time round, when he whispered that. His eyes were soft, hope evident in them. And you knew what he wanted. He wanted to hear you say it back. And you hadn’t.

Your boyfriend had popped the ‘L’ word three months back, and if you were being frank, it had scared the absolute crap out of you. You didn’t want to lead him on, and being the honest person you are, you had told him you didn’t feel the same yet. Joel was extremely disappointed to say the least, but luckily for you, you’d managed to swoop up an understanding man, so he told you to only say it back when you truly meant it. You two had moved on like always, and you were comfortable with him showering you with his love and affections whenever he wanted.

But why was this time so different?

You stared back up at him for a moment, before a somewhat obligatory smile graced your face. You could see his face fall in slight disappointment once again, but he did his best to cover it up. He turned away from you, choosing to look out the window into the city skyline. He sighed softly, chest raising slightly before going back down as he let out the breath.

But you didn’t turn away from him. You continued looking over your boyfriend; from his incredible jawline to his soft oh so kissable lips, up to his nose and to his eyes. You loved his eyes. They were always so filled with kindness and warmth, and the brown of his irises always shone like pools of honey in the sun. Joel was a physically beautiful man, but there were so many other tiny habits and fragments of his personality that you loved.

Loved.

You loved how he always insisted on putting his right sock on first, acting like it was some sort of crucial good luck gesture. You loved how he always made sure all his bandanas were colour coded. You loved how picky he was when it came to organising his rings and accessories. You loved how you could do dumb skin care routines together as a couple. And as annoying as it was sometimes, you loved how adorably irritated he got whenever he saw someone giving him shit on twitter.

You loved Joel. And you couldn’t keep it silent anymore.

But once you told him you loved him, you’d have to tell him that. And you didn’t want anyone else to know about it. Could you trust him? You’re sure you do. That wasn’t even a question you should be asking yourself. You had given him your virginity and first kiss. You had let him see you at some of your most vulnerable moments.

You’d kept it to yourself for eighteen years. Eighteen years too long.

“I love you too.”

You hadn’t realised you’d been holding in your breath until he turned to you in shock.

“Yeah?” he asked softly, a smile growing on his face as he slowly registered your words. You bit your lip, trying to stop yourself from grinning stupidly like your boyfriend.

“Yeah. I love you.”

Joel pretty much attacked you again, propelling off the bed and pushing you into the mattress, peppering kisses all over your face and down your neck. It tickled, and you giggled at his happiness. It warmed your heart, and you were glad you had managed to make him so elated. You didn’t really want to ruin the moment, but you wanted to tell him before you chickened out.

“Hey- Hey!” You laughed when he nuzzled his head into your neck, his ebony curls tickling your nose. “I… I wanna tell you something.”

Joel failed to look up, just simply humming in acknowledgement that he was listening as he continued kissing your neck, hands wrapping round your waist to trap you underneath him. He pressed a smooch to your sweet spot and you couldn’t contain the mewl that sounded out, but you wanted him to be serious first.

“Um. It’s important, Joel,” you breathed out, hand threading through his hair to try and pull his attention away from your neck. He did so, gazing up at you, but his eyebrows knitted together into a frown when he caught sight of the look you had.

“Y/N, you alright?” he asked gently, pulling away from you. He shifted away from you slightly to give you some space, propping his elbow up on the bed and resting the side of his head on his fist. His left arm was wrapped round your waist, fingers gingerly rubbing your skin soothingly.

You swallowed the lump in your throat as you stared up at him. Your chest tightened, and a pit of nervousness formed in your stomach. Why the hell were you suddenly so anxious? You sighed deeply, suppressing all your nerves as best you could.

“You can’t tell anyone about this,” you murmured, shifting your gaze away from him to instead look down at the blanket that covered both your naked selfs. “You have to promise.”

Joel looked at you confused, pausing his rubbing motions on your waist.

“Okay?” he said unsurely. You sucked in a breath. Not convincing enough.

“I mean it. You can’t tell anyone, Joel. Please.”

Joel was becoming a little perturbed at your behaviour. You had turned serious so quickly. Your tone made it seem like you were almost begging him to take whatever you were about to tell him to the grave. His fingers danced along your hip as he stared straight into your eyes, which were practically pleading him. He scanned your face as you awaited his reply, swallowing the saliva that had begun to pool in his mouth. He’d admit, he had never seen you so… desperate before. But why-

Oh. This was it.

“Yeah. I promise,” he pledged sincerely, voice soft and comforting.

You exhaled when he said that, eyes falling shut for a few seconds. Joel waited patiently, allowing you to compose yourself.

“Um… you’ve met my parents,” you began, finally opening your eyes to look at him. Joel nodded hesitantly, clearly puzzled on where you were going with this.

“You remember I told you how nervous I was? And I literally had like, a complete mental breakdown,” you scoffed and rolled your eyes at ‘mental breakdown’, and Joel’s comforting actions on your hips faltered for a second. He remembered the day really clearly. He knew when you said ‘mental breakdown’, you were partly exaggerating it. It was closer to a panic attack. But he understood why you described it that way; you had become really short of breath, and all sorts of paranoia and worries had entered your mind on the drive over to your parents’ place. Joel had to sit in the car for ten minutes calming you down before the both of you went in.

“I mean, there was a reason for it,” you shrugged. “My mom’s never really liked any of my friends. She always got me to stop befriending them. I don’t know, she used to say they were all bad for me. And I mean- she picked on all their flaws. It was never anything bad. She just… always saw the bad side of people.”

You fiddled with your fingers, pausing for a second to take a deep breath.

“I was just really scared she wouldn’t like you. That she’d come to me and start pointing out every single bad thing about it and make it seem like I shouldn’t be with you because of that. That she wouldn’t see past all that and see the good things.”

Joel smiled a little when you said that, and you returned it. You stayed silent for a while, breathing in nervously. This was harder than you thought.

“My parents… uh, they fought a lot when I was younger?”

It came out sounding closer to a question than a statement. But Joel remembered you saying this once. A while ago. You were subconciously asking him to recall it without realising it. He nodded, giving you the ‘okay’ to continue on.

“They used to throw a lot of things. They would scream at the top of their lungs. It was scary. I used to hide in my room and play with my stuffed toys and hope they would come alive. You know, like Toy Story, so they could comfort me when they were yelling in the kitchen.

They would blame me a lot for other things too. Compare me to the people they hated the most. Accuse me of plotting something against them when I something went wrong. I don’t know, I used to just ignore it but it was often it just kinda got to me, you know?” you whispered quietly. Your bottom lip quivered when you recalled those memories.

Tell him everything. Don’t stop there.

“My mom tried to kill herself a few times.”

You hadn’t realised you had started crying when you said that. You only noticed when Joel reached up to wipe your tears away. You took in a deep breath and let out a sob. Joel tensed up when you did that, leaning down to press a few kisses to your cheeks. This was more than he bargained for. Joel didn’t know it was this serious. And now he was more worried for you than ever.

“I know it happened once when I was three. She was fighting with my dad. We lived in a high rise apartment at the time. She climbed out the window, dangled over the ledge. We were- we were on the tenth fucking story.”

At this point, you could barely go on. You weren’t even paying attention to anything but your words until Joel pulled you out of it. He grabbed you by the waist, pulling you as close to him as you could. You couldn’t quite register what was happening. You were crying too hard, heaving and panting and struggling for air as your nose clogged up.

“She blamed me for it. She always blamed me for everything,” you sobbed, clutching onto his shoulders.

Joel could practically feel you shaking in his arms as you spilled everything to him. He never thought that it could all be so serious. You had never said anything.

“I’m sorry baby,” he whispered, rubbing your back as he let you let everything out. “Thank you for telling me.”

Joel didn’t care if you guys had only been dating for eleven months. He didn’t care if you were only eighteen and he was only twenty. He could never leave you after hearing this.

He was going to marry you someday.

my top 10 series of 2019~

aka i gush about shiz i watched this year for waaaaaay too long lol...

i watched a lot of stuff this yr (well... it felt like a lot? there’s a lot more i wanted to watch but i’m terrible at time management lol...) so let’ssss explore that in a ~numbered list~ lol

(spoilers - there’s a lot of gay shit here lol... what can i say, twentybiteen really pulled thru lol)

10 - Stranger Things (series 3)

i know some people didn’t like this series, but i legit thought it was really good lol... i felt it had gone back to the style of the 1st series a lil more? (whereas series 2 had felt a lil disappointing in a way??) & i loved all the new characters introduced (robin is a personal fav, obv), & the whole splitting off into the lil groups was really effective in not just feel like it’s always the same group together, and it also allowed for some interesting character moments!

visually, stranger things always looks amazing! but i thought the whole summer/july 4th vibes really made it especially stunning tbh... as most things on this list, i’ve only seen it once, so i would like to rewatch it at some point (actually wanna do a full stranger things marathon tbh i was trying to explain what had happened in the show to my friend who stopped watching it early in series 1 & it was so difficult to remember exactly what had happened in it lool... )

there were obv things about it that i wasn’t as big on, like the whole evil russian-invincible guy was v cliche and kinda silly, & some of the actions scenes were a bit awkward(?) feeling... but i’m a sucker for any 80′s style media so those things just reminded me of the goonies or some shit lol

9 - Ghosts

actually the funniest & cutest series ever tbh!!! as someone who grew up with horrible histories with the original cast, this just made me immensely happy to see the whole team together again! the humour style is v similar to horrible histories too btw, though i feel they let themselves have a lil more ‘dark humour’ than in that (since this is more a general audience, whereas hh was definitely more aimed at kids tbh... tho they still won a comedy award for it lol! actual legends lol anyway...)

only downside is that it’s only 1 series atm & it’s pretty short... but i know there’s gonna be a new series at some point so i’m v excited for that!! i feel there’s sooooo many places they can go with the concept (i.e. exploring how/when the other characters died (like kitty!!! i need to know her story lol i love her!), maybe introducing another character who can see ghosts?? like a medium/psychic or something/etc ...) but legit, please watch this if u haven’t!!!

8 - Good Omens

this pretty much took over the internet this year lbr lol & tbh i’d def say it was worthy of the praise!! ineffable husbands aside, the main story is super engaging and enjoyable, with some really awesome side characters (& some of my fav character designs in anything ever tbh!!) but definitely the biggest draw was the ‘6000 years mutual pining’ romance which they did so well lol & it was something that was genuinely so lovely to watch tbh!! i also really loved the ending message of the show! i really hope to rewatch this next year when i think it’s gonna be aired on british tv at last????

downsides would be that the plot can be a bit confusing at times? but maybe that’s just me being dumb lol... but i imagine it’s a lot easier to understand if u’ve read the book lol?? i don’t have a problem w/ aziraphale & crowley not being “explicitly” gay or whatnot (i know i’ve seen some people annoyed with this?), since the whole idea of their relationship is so much larger than just them bonking or whatevs lol? (in general i think more media should have less focus on kissing/intimacy as an indication of love/romance... which is something i’ve already talked about lol)

oh, and the title sequence is INCREDIBLE lol i seriously loved it so much!!

7 - Killing Eve (series 2)

finally finished this the other day & it was so good!!! i really love the dark comedic tone of the show tbh & i def feel there was more of it in the 2nd series then the first! i also liked the further development of villanelle & eve’s relationship, which is obv the highlight of the show tbh! there was also a nice lot of twists tbh, though i’d say it was a lil less intense than the 1st series? (overall i’d say i prefer the 1st series, but the 2nd was a fab continuation... btw i also watched the 1st series this yr lol)

negative points are that the plot wasn’t quite as interesting as the 1st series... i think cos the focus of the murders was taken off of villanelle that we lost some of that drama from the 1st? i thought the ghost was gonna be a more integral part but she was kinda weirdly pushed aside once we learnt her identity? & the creepy son dude just annoyed me lol (but i suppose that was the point lol...)... so like yh there were lil things that didn’t engage me as much as the first, but overall i still really enjoyed it lol

this is def fulfilling the hannibal-shaped hole in my heart tbh... (another series i finished this yr...)

6 - Dark Blue Kiss the series

look, it’s no surprise this is on my list lol... i was hella hyped for this series when it was announced last yr, even though my expectations were VERY LOW after kiss me again the series (which, lbr, is a massive mess lol... like it’s My Mess tho)... but for real, this series really exceeded all my expectations... & then some! like i’m legit shook at how good it was ngl! especially morksun’s storyline, which was by far my fav in the show (as much as i’m petekao trash lol...) also, i was surprised by how genuinely pretty this show is! esp in comparison to kma (like i know i keep going on about the goddamn bruise makeup but it is so ugly in kma, but they really did a great job in dbk tbh!)

ok so there’s a lot of flaws lol... like... a lot (i’m already complained a lot so i won’t bore u with that rn lol...) but for real, the thing that i love the most about this is the discussions of coming out/homophobia/general young people struggles/etc etc which is so refreshing to see in these series! like i love that despite the cheesy tropes, it still knows when to be serious & genuine...

5 - He Is Coming To Me

another thai series, i believe this has the same director as dbk? (don’t hold me to that tho...)... legit one of the best, if not the best, thai series i’ve ever seen tbh! so adorable, so well acted, so funny & heartwarming like... legit it’s so good!! i was already excited about it from the trailer, but the way it really delivered on the emotionality, whilst keeping it lighthearted, was truly wonderful tbh! the main actors did a brill job i gotta say, and all the side characters were amazing too (there really wasn’t a character i didn’t like i’d say tbh? i need to rewatch tbh... there’s a lot i’ve forgotten since this came out p early in the year lol)... also, visually it’s so pretty!! i swear the cinematography in these thai series just keeps getting better & better & it def improves the watching experience tbh!

a down point would be that the first ep is a bit slow/awkward to get in to... & i think it def could put someone off? but i’d say to stick w/ it since it just keeps getting better & better! i’d actually say there isn’t really anything else i didn’t like about it ngl? it’s just so good guys... u really need to watch it!

4 - Russian Doll

probs the only series on this list that i actually actively went to rewatch straight away lol (didn’t do a full rewatch btw)... it was SO good for real! i already loved the premise lol (it’s basically groundhog day, which is already such a great film, but they explored those ideas even more in this which i loveeeed) the leads are fantastic, and the story is generally so interesting! plus the editing & song choices are really brill tbh...

my one complaint would probs be that the series loses a lil momentum at certain points (esp later in the series), but it still keeps ur interest, and the ending is really well done too! i know there’s gonna be a 2nd series, so i’m really hoping it’ll be able to live up to this one, and also explore more of the characters/concepts/etc! i’m def hyped for it tbh!

i feel like this series is simultaneously underrated and also v well known lol?? like i know everyone sees that ‘thursday! what a concept’ meme but i feel like i didn’t see as many people talk about it as much as other series this yr???

(for my top 3, i’d say i love them all equally/for different reasons... so the order they’re in is changeable lol)

3 - Gentleman Jack

one of the greatest bbc series of the year, maybe even the decade lol! actually a masterpiece of cinematography, incredible acting, gorgeous costumes, beautiful depictions of love and intimacy, hilarious characterisation & just generally a wonderful series!! like i can’t praise it enough! it’s literally everything i could ever want from a series, and more!!!!!!! like everytime i think about it i just feel like ‘!!!!!’ constantly lol... like... what did we do to deserve such a series for real?? something that i esp loved was that i vividly remember not that long ago w/ people complaining about the bbc for having minor lgbtq characters in things, so to have a actual main lesbian couple series be on prime time bbc telly is kinda mind blowing lol... like.. i know we’ve got a long way to go, but it does make me immensely proud!!

i have no complaints lol... other than - needed to be longer (i think we’re getting a 2nd series right???? i hope so tbh!!)

2 - The Untamed

look, i don’t make 15 piece series’ for nothing lol... this show really got to me ngl... like i knew it was gonna be amazing from seeing tonnes of mutuals start watching it & praising it.. .but ohhhhhhhh boy i wasn’t reading for the angst and heartbreak and just generally how invested i’d be in all the characters lol... like genuinely there’s so much to praise about this show! it may not be as super ‘polished’ as some of the other shows on this list, but it really has so much heart and hard work and dedication put into it which really shows in the final product!

there’s obv issues with it, but i feel like it’s kinda unnecessary to go over them lol? there’s so much more of this series that has brought me genuine joy, the biggest being the fact they were still able to depict a really beautiful, loving and /romantic/ relationship despite the strict censor is truly incredible lol!! like w/ good omens, it just shows what you can do to depict love/romance without having to over-sexualise something...

i feel like i’m saying less for these top 3, but it’s just cos i’ve already gush to high heavens about how much i love them lol...

1 - HIStory 3 - Trapped

you - *pretends to be shocked that this is my number 1*

yeh... no surprises that this is in my top 3 lol... what can i say that i haven’t already screamed about for months??? this series truly surpassed any expectations i could have had for a HIStory series... the story line is complex & pretty well done (it’s not perfect... but nothing is so....), the characters are wonderful & also brilliantly acted! i think the thing that i love the most is that the director wanted to create a series that wasn’t just a cheesy gay series (don’t get me wrong, i loVE cheesy gay series’ lol... ) but also would have a more interesting, well developed & more ‘mature’ story line (i think esp in comparison to other HIStory series’ which are usually school/uni based)... it’s also one of the few lgbtq series i’ve seen that isn’t just about ‘first loves’, and doesn’t place a big emphasis on a sexuality/identity crisis... it’s just so unabashedly a mystery-romance drama, which is just so refreshing to see! & i genuinely hope we can see more series like this, where gay characters don’t need to ‘prove’ themselves in order to be in a series or to be in relationships (which it often feels like, where writers need to explain /why/ characters are gay...)...

phew... that’s a lot of text lol, just like w/ the untamed, i feel like i’ve already talked about the negative points of the series (plot holes, awkward moments, weird editing/sound choices, bad tropey plots), but the positives of this series seriously make it worthwhile, and i’m just so so SO happy this show exists lol...

all 3 of these series have a special place in my heart of inspiring lots of my own exploration of art, as well as writing, which has been really crucial in me understanding what i wanna do with my life (i know that sounds kinda weird, but at the start of the year i really didn’t know what i wanted... and i wasn’t even sure what i was good at lol... so thru these shows i was able to discover a lot more about my own style of working & thru all of them i was able to meet some wonderful new people on here which has made 2019 actually one of my most enjoyable years on tumblr!

this has been an...... interesting year lol... but definitely these shows made it just a lil bit better!!!

Which makes sense since he literally shouts sometimes on the quidditch field

“I’M THE CAPTAIN SO YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO ME”

Honestly a dork and a sweetheart though

Even all the girls swoon when he walks by

He doesn’t really notice how his uhhh

Lip bites and winking and beautiful smile

Just gets all the girls to have heart eyes

the most reliable prefect ever

he's known to give quite a few detentions out for those who are out past curfew

and likes teasing Joshua about just letting people go

and likes joking around with Jeonghan about prefect powers

he doesn't mess around that one lol

There was a rumor

That he once broke up an underground duel between the houses

Some stupid sixth years and some younger kids were hexing each other or something

And he stopped them by challenging the kids there to duel him

even though he was younger than a few

And they were like pssssshhhh we can take this old man prefect

Oh boy was that stupid and wrong

They all ended up sore from being hexed like crazy

some of them had to go to the infirmary

And with detention

Cleaning up the bathrooms no magic

and taking care of the magical creatures

especially their ahem excrement

since he protects younger students from being bullied

and he's really good at hexing people

Which is really entertaining

all the kids screaming and joking and messing around

and Seungcheol just shaking his head and trying to calm all of them down at one time

But he does a pretty decent job

When food isn’t flying through the air and stuff isn't exploding

Can be heard yelling across the dining room by all four houses

“If you throw the shepard’s pie one more time Seungkwan….”

“Soonyoung! Stop! Hexing! The! Peas! To! Dance!”

“Minghao stop pulling on Jun’s robes, NO ONE NEEDS THIS AT 7AM IN THE MORNING”

Joshua and Jeonghan just casually sipping their pumpkin juice

Like yea we’re prefects too and should probably help

But Seungcheol’s got this

But no haha

Those three fifth years baby their friends so much

always nagging to do their hw and eat and take care of themselves

It’s hella endearing

because you'd think they were actually all brothers or a family

The way they talk together, you’d really think those three are actually parenting ten children together

“I just helped Chan finish his potions paper, I'm exhausted what a day.”

“Don’t you mean Chan helped you with your potions paper Jeonghan?”

“SHHHHH Shua!!!”

“I just put Vernon back in his dormitory for like the fifth time, he and Seungkwan were planning something”

“Seungcheol, Seungkwan is back in his bed in the hufflepuff dormitory now too don’t worry”

“Last thing we need is another exploding pumpkins accident”

“Jeonghan, we said we’d never talk about that incident ever again.”

Seungcheol is always scheming game plans for quidditch in some empty classroom

drawing diagrams of the field on chalkboards and discussing stuff with the others

Or doing hw in the library with Jeonghan napping next to him and Joshua sitting on his other side discussing classwork or the upcoming quidditch game

And although Josh is on an opposing team

Tbh they have so much fun playing around and challenging each other

even when they play against each other

they've been seen to high five each other when the opposite team scores

and throw combined victory parties

just because they're those kind of friends

supportive to the end

it's not all about winning but having fun playing the game

though winner gets bragging rights and then it's a full-on roast session between their teams lol

These three friends man

So surprised when they were all selected to be prefects

Like who’s genius idea was it to put all of us together

But tbh they work really well together

Because they’re caring parents lololol

using their prefect powers to keep all the younger kids in check

it's tiring but worth it in their opinion

Seungcheol doesn’t really get that much sleep sometimes

Always trying to keep up with schoolwork and quidditch practice and prefect business

But he works his hardest

And Josh offers to help him too

Even though Joshua has even more crap to do than Seungcheol

The 95 line are always seen staying up pretty late to do stuff together in the library

And while the younger kids in their frien group go out and about on weekends

The three of them study

When Jeonghan isn’t napping that is

and Josh isn't off doing frog chorus or tutoring other kids with the help of a time-turner

And tbh Seungcheol should get more sleep

or at least

that was your initial thought when he caught you out past curfew one night

You were a fifth year gryffindor too

And you had all your classes with him

But imagine your surprise when you found out he knew your name

Again everyone in school knows the 13 boys in that friend group

And honestly who wouldn’t notice 13 guys who happened to be the best of friends and also really good-looking

But you had fallen asleep doing your transfiguration paper in an empty classroom

you had been planning on going back before curfew but

It really hadn’t been your evening

You had dropped your charms paper in the toilet

And you had fallen asleep in countless classes

And you had skipped dinner to study for the history of magic exam

and Seungcheol was known as one of the prefects that doled out detention bc he was supposed to

As crappy as you felt

One look at Seungcheol and you could see the dark circles under his eyes

He was probably just as exhausted as you were

And you felt kinda bad because you relate to the struggle

But at the same time you don’t want detention

“Seungcheol! Heeeeeyyyy uhhhh! So I know I’m out past curfew, but I was doing my transfiguration paper and I didn’t understand anything and I was ready to have a mental breakdown and sooooo…”

You closed your eyes slightly anticipating the huge detention Seungcheol was about to serve up when

“If you need help, I'll see if I can help you.”

And you opened your eyes to see a smiley Seungcheol

And honestly it was as if the moonlight hit the spot where he was standing just right bc damn was he cute //COUGH COUGH// I MEANT HURRAY FOR SAVING YOUR TRANSFIGURATION GRADE

you thought it'd be detention for sure, and you didn't have the time for detention

but he sat on the desk next to you and proofread your paper

“It sounds right except you could elaborate more on the proper wand techniques for this spell which will help you reach the page length requirement

And at some point he pulled out a paper he still had to finish for history of magic

and you both kind of just naturally fell into doing your work together

And you both started quizzing each other

passing notes and books back and forth easily

And the scratching of quills on paper sounded throughout the classroom

It was productive and a lot of trying to get everything done but peaceful

The both of you just getting work done

“You’re really going to let me off without detention?” you asked him again pushing it a bit

“I’ll let you go this one time.” he chuckled not looking up from his paper

“That’s a relief, I’ll work in the common room from now on promise.”

“I’ll hold you to it y/n.”

And you both could have returned to the common room then

and you probably would have

but the two of you were just so tired

and had not been sleeping well because of upcoming exams

of course you should have returned to the dormitory when Seungcheol found you

But uhhh

That’s not exactly what happened

You fell asleep

The both of you did

Next to each other

Heads on the desk

really close, inches apart really

Arms grazing each others and the shuffling of the papers as your heads laid on top of the books

And when you woke up……

Seungcheol was still sleeping next to you

You might or might not have jumped fifty feet in the air while biting your lips to stop screaming

As you gathered your stuff and looked at the time

Breakfast

you couldn't be late!!!! and neither could a prefect

but you felt weird

do you wake him up?!?!?!

“Seungcheol!!! Get up classes start soon!!!!!”

And the rest of that day was hella awkward

With Seungcheol and you catching each other’s eyes every three minutes or so

And blushing

And looking away immediately

him sort of having his eyes widen in a really cute way

With Jeonghan and Joshua eyeing the two of you suspiciously

and you just turning away and talking to a friend

or inserting yourself into a convo to avoid staring at Seungcheol

and banging your head on the table when his sleeping face came up in your thoughts

Fate made it really easy for yours and Seungcheol’s paths to cross

You’d be sitting with a friend from ravenclaw and Wonwoo shows up out of nowhere with Seungcheol and Jun behind him

And before you know what you’re doing, you’re running down the hall and out the door to avoid him

EVEN THOUGH YOU’RE SCREAMING IN YOUR HEAD NOTHING HAPPENED SO WHY AM I AVOIDING HIM

And it’s not like he cared right?

or you'd be sitting outside doing hw

and he'd walk past with a couple of his friends

and you'd hide your face behind a book to avoid staring at him

and then you wouldn't see the little smile he had on his face as he looked back at you hiding

and the small chuckle he'd have

"What's funny hyung?"

"Nothing just,,, thought I saw someone"

or he'd sit by you in the library

and you'd have to control the urge to get up and just run away

and he'd just smile and stare dead ahead not meeting your eyes

and the both of you would wave to each other and then continue studying

You go up to the astronomy tower one evening

Because you needed a break from the cramped common room where everyone was studying for end of december exams

and low key trying to avoid Seungcheol too

it was weird

you couldn't help staring at him

the way his hair would lightly brush across his forehead

and the way he'd smile at you

GOSH DARN IT FOCUS Y/N

And you sat at the edge of the balcony and just laid your forehead against the cold railing

And took a deep breath

Exams were coming up

And you weren’t ready

But for now you wanted to forget the stress and just stare out at the sky

the sky was beautiful

the glow of the sunlight slowly giving way to the stars' glowing

And as you were slowly drifting into sleep

You hear a quiet voice

Someone was singing

And you peeped open an eye right in time

to see Seungcheol walking up the stairs

So naturally you do the one thing that all your years of being socially competent has taught you

And hid behind a telescope

Because reasons

And Seungcehol walked past you still quietly singing and sat down with a book and his paper

He looked tired

But he worked on his homework

And you sat admiring his voice

it was so nice and soothing

But uhhh you can’t just sit there forever right?

So you quietly clear your throat

Which makes Seungcheol jump like five feet in the air and instinctively yell

“PROFESSOR I SWEAR I ONLY CAME HERE TO AVOID WHATEVER IT IS JIHOON IS PLOTTING TO DO TO MINGYU RIGHT NOW.”

When he notices it’s just you and he sighs in relief

“Hey y/n”

And you awkwardly stand there like what

But he looks really tired

Like this is not ok

And you watch as he sort of falls

And you catch his head right as he falls asleep in your arms

DON'T PANIC

You sort of half drag him down the tower to the infirmary

“I HAVE A PERSON HERE”

And the nurse just stares at you like fam I don't endorse killing people

But she helps Serungcheol into a bed and tells you he’s just tired and needs sleep

But you’re hella worried and you find Joshua and Jeonghan

And drag them to the infirmary

And you kind of just motion like WHAT DO I DO

And they just shake their heads

“He does this once every year around exam time, he's just tired, he’ll be ok”

Them trying to reassure you even though of course they’re worried too

but they also have been plotting things

But you stay by his bed with Joshua and Jeonghan just staring at you before leaving to get Seungcheol's pajamas and stuff for him to stay overnight in the infirmary

And you fall asleep again

Next to Seungcheol

And you don’t wake up until you hear him say

“Here we are sleeping together again”

And you look up to see him smiling and looking well-rested and HEYO NO DARK CIRCLES

“CHOI SEUNGCHEOL I WAS WORRIED OUT OF MY MIND!” you scream

ligtly smacking his arm bc he worried you

But you smile bc gosh darn it he’s ok!!!!

And as you’re about to scold him again

He hugs you

Without any warning

And you freeze up blushing

Until you just sort of hug him back

and it's just you in his arms for a few seconds

“Thanks for taking me to the infirmary.” he laughs

“UH yea no problem, you would have done the same for me, bud.”

And you both talked together more and hung out a lot more too

And as you got to know him more

The both of you started liking each other more

It was really cute and innocent and just everything

But even Joshua was low key impatient

“Just ask her to be your gf if you guys are a thing”

note: my first request! thank you so much for sending it in and remember that my ask is always open! also, i’m using american high school years (freshman - senior year) for this au!

you honestly weren’t sure when exactly your friendly rivalry with daniel started

was it when you tried b-boying in middle school and he couldn’t stop his laugh when he saw you fail to lift yourself off the ground?

or was it when you shot the basketball into the hoop on your first try during gym class when he had been trying for the past fifteen minutes?

the world may never know - it only knew that a rivalry existed

even as you guys entered high school, you just felt a raging desire to beat daniel at every thing that he wanted to beat you in

in freshman year, you guys didn’t even know what to compete in

you guys ended up competing to see who could get the most average grades

you read right: the most average grades

you literally made your teachers add up all the grades for exams and find out the averages

whoever had the closest score to that grade won

you guys kept this up for at least three months until a kind senior that daniel knew, jisung, finally knocked some sense into y’all

“stop intentionally getting lower grades just to be closer to the average! that just shows how dumb you guys are!”

and in sophomore year, you guys competed to see who could volunteer the most time at the local animal shelter

the two of you literally bolted to the shelter right after classes let out, which turned into another semi-competition by racing

he always won but his mom made him go home earlier than you so your times always ended up evening out

and on halloween of that year, you guys wanted to see who could dress up in the most ridiculous costume

he dressed up in a ballerina costume

you dressed up as him lmao

you had on a baggy t shirt and a snapback turned around over your head

the best part? you were wearing bold white glasses to pay homage to his middle school self

he wanted to die when he saw those and admitted defeat just to get you to take them off

in junior year, you guys took part in a “who can feed jaehwan the most disgusting food?” competition

whoever was able to make jaehwan throw up won

spoiler alert: daniel won because he didn’t even bother trying to think up of ways to make food digusting - he just literally put a whole bunch of things in a blender and made jaehwan drink it

also in junior year, you guys had a class trip to an amusement park and battled it out by seeing who could go to the most attractions

you won because he refused to go into the haunted house without seongwu

“you need to hold his hand, huh???”

“shUT UP NO I DON’T”

you were in senior year when you started running out of things to compete in

then you guys remembered that there was such thing as a senior prank

so you already know you guys tried that

you blew up balloons and put them into every single underclassman’s locker

while daniel filled the halls with plastic cups filled with water

you won because he got in trouble for that LOL

you were passing by the principal’s office when you saw him getting scolded

tbh, he was scared of his punishment at first but then he saw you watching him so he decided to act really cool

“daniel, what you did was very dangerous”

“teeeeechnically, it wasn’t because they just had to avoid the cups?”

and with his charming smile and beloved reputation among the teachers, he got off with just a warning

but you both decided you couldn’t be competing in things that could get you in trouble - you wanted safe fun!

so when you saw a freshman by the name of park jihoon flashing around aegyo, you both stared at each other with mischievous smiles

you guys literally had a competition about who could ruin jihoon’s jeojang the most

you did some disgustingly cute/sexy combo of a jeojang

while daniel was extra and called the class to watch him

he took out a cutesy headband and started doing the jeojang several times, making various weird faces

you didn’t even know he had a double chin until that day

he won that competition because the whole class was cheering and to be honest, you couldn’t help but cheer as well

this is when you started to realize your feelings for him: when you couldn’t help but giggle and blush a bit at the embarrassed and flustered cringing daniel did after his little performance

you found him to be so cute but also such a good sport for doing it and in front of the class nevertheless

so you went home that day and just started reminiscing about all the time you’ve spent with him

due to how much you guys have competed with each other, you saw each other a lot

and throughout that time, it was inevitable that you would have fallen for him

just because you guys competed in practically everything, that didn’t mean you guys didn’t get along

you guys were actually good friends and learned a lot about each other, especially during the time you volunteered together at the animal shelter

the first time he held a kitten and a puppy to try to get them to play with each other, you remembered feeling a weird warmth

and when he wore that ballerina costume, you saw how manly his body had become through the thin material of the leotard

when jaehwan actually got nauseous, daniel got so guilty and took really good care of him and you were able to see how sweet he was

and at the amusement park, he was so cute when he was pouty at the idea of going into the haunted house alone

you also saw him picking up all the plastic cups, one by one, even though he wasn’t punished to do so during his senior prank

the jeojang was the last straw for you

“oh my goodness, i’m in love with daniel”

coincidentally, the next day, daniel came up to you with a new proposition: whoever gets the person they want to go to prom with them first wins

this was your chance!!!

you never backed out of a challenge and even if he rejected you, it was senior year - you didn’t have much to lose

except your beautiful friendship but whatever right?

so you bravely went up to his locker after school ended and waited for him to arrive

when he saw you, he looked confused and then smirked

“ah, ready to admit defeat?”

“go to prom with me”

he wasn’t going to admit it but he was shook!!!

he looked at you strangely, but you could tell he was trying to hold in a smile

“um, excuse me?”

“i’ve been in love with you since basically freshman year and i want you to go to prom with me”

you honestly didn’t know where you were getting this courage but it was worth seeing his shocked face

that face slowly turning into a teasing smile

“nope!”

you gaped at him, lowkey hurt at his rejection - he noticed this and corrected himself really quickly

“just because you would win this competition if i said yes!”

and he skipped away happily while you glared at the back of his head

the next day however, you arrived to your locker and opened it to find a whole bunch of balloons floating out of it

at first, you thought it was a revenge prank by some underclassmen

but then you started seeing writing attached to all of the balloons

there were variations of compliments on one side and had “will you go to prom with me?” on the other

you turned around after reading one of the balloons to see daniel holding one of them by the ribbon

“go to prom with me?”

it was your turn to be surprised as you took the balloon from his hand

“this is why you rejected me?!”

he just shrugged,

“i can’t lose another competition to you”

jaehwan appeared next to you guys, holding all of the escaped balloons in his hands and giving you a pleading face

“please just say yes, you guys have been doing competitions for years and i was the victim of one of them...for the sake of the student body, just love each other already”

daniel laughed and looked at you after jaehwan said that

“well, you already love me and i already love you...sooooo, why don’t we end the war and make peace?”

you pretended to think about it and giggled internally when you saw that daniel was starting to get nervous

you gave the poor boy a break and nodded

“only because i’m in the lead - okay, we can have a draw, i’ll go to prom with you!”

and when he hugged you, you let the balloon go, and with it went the competitions you took part in for all those years

you could hear your entire school sigh in relief at no longer having to see the “sexual tension” between the two of you

instead, they gagged on a daily basis at how cutesy you guys would be due to your insistence that you loved daniel more

“no way, i have more love in my body since i’m taller. you’re just a shorty so you can’t love me more”

“my heart is bigger and it’s full of love just for you!”

When you first arrive in the past and save Nobunaga from death by fire, you were hella confused. You have no idea what had happened to you, and honestly you low key thought it was some kind of prank. You laughed when nobunga told you, just who he was and what year it was. You looked around the tree line for the hidden cameras, but there was non. Honestly, things only started to feel real once you arrived at the castle and Nobunaga named you as princess.

From day one, you worked hard to earn the oda forces trust and respect. You were incredibly diligent, and soon all suspicion of you being a spy was dropped. You honestly brought new life into the castle, as your hard work inspired some of the lazier maids to pull up their socks, they couldn’t dare let the new princess outshine them. You went up and beyond what was expected of you, and the small details of your work certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Especially your addition of flowers in every room of the castle, which you would handpick every few days, it just seemed to brighten up the place and give it livelier energy.

TBH you were a big fan of history, so you knew the history of these historical figures pretty well. You low key had to catch yourself sometimes, especially before you completely nerd out in front of them. Especially when talking to Ieyasu, you had been a big fan of him since learning about him in history class, in fact, you were secretly fangirling over all the warlords.

It got a bit lonely at times, you missed your friends and being able to chat about your favourite animes and mangas. You loved your new warlord friends, but it still felt like they just weren’t on the same wavelength as you. Your hobbies and interests were just so different, and you found it difficult to relate to them sometimes.

After Hideyoshi stop suspecting you of being an assassin, he became like your second mother, and today was a prime example of that. He had handed you a bag full of golden coins and shooed you to the markets to relax and take a load off. You wandered around aimlessly until something caught your attention. A nerdy looking guy wearing a white science coat, you got a bit closer and when you overheard his conversation with his friend you were positive, HE WAS ALSO FROM THE FUTURE. You were so excited to have finally met someone, not from this time that you instantly tapped him on the shoulder. You thought of a phrase that you could ask him, which would quickly confirm whether or not he was from your time. “Excuse me, dude could you please spill the tea on where you’re from.” You knew If he was truly from the future, he wouldn’t question your lingo or your addressing him as dude. Sasuke stared at you shook, just when you began to question whether he really was from the future, he gave a slither of a smile and said, “Exe.Sasuke stopped working, need to reboot,” all while doing some strange robot dance. The two of you laughed, leaving a very confused Yuki looking at the two of you.

Sasuke took yours and Yuki’s hands and dragged both of you to the nearest teahouse where he explained that he had been looking for you for four years. “WHAT YOU’RE FROM THE FUTURE.” Yuki was in a state of shock, he always suspected Sasuke had a secret with the weird way he talked but never in a million years did he think this was possible. Meanwhile, you were over the moon as not only was Sasuke from the future, but he was also a fellow nerd

Since that day, the three of you would hang out together every day. You finally found a friend that could understand all your nerdy jokes and references. Often the two of you would go to the teahouse together when Yuki was busy with work. You and Sasuke would legit chat for hours and hours about your favourite animes, otome games and mangas. When Yuki would finally join the two of you after work, it was standard procedure for you guys to tease the poor boy until he was as red as a beet. Sasuke loved that he had finally found a fellow intellectual and nerd as sometimes it was difficult to bounce ideas off his BFF, as let’s face it Yuki didn’t understand half the words that would come out of Sasuke’s mouth.

It had definitely become a tradition for the three of you to play boards at least once a week. Both you and Sasuke loved playing RPG games in the future, so the two of you banded together to create the closest version to that in this Sengoku period. You honestly loved these weekly game nights with the boys. It gave you a sense of nostalgia, and you couldn’t help but smile at the great time you were having with your new friends. These game nights were always filled with witty banter, plenty of junk food and a ton of laughs.

At some point, Kenshin and Shingen had come to visit their vassal only to walk into the room with, Yuki flipping the table in frustration, while you and Sasuke gripped your sides in laugher at his sore loser behaviour. Since then the god of war and Tiger of Kai would occasionally join your game nights, which you always enjoyed. The more people to tease and beat, the better.

Soon it came time for them all to go back home and prepare for the war that was brewing between the two forces. You couldn’t help but cry when Sasuke and Yuki had come to say their goodbyes. You, after all, were a sensitive little bean and you were definitely going to miss nerding out and joking around. You sat alone in your room when suddenly out of thin air Kenshin jumped down from your roof, you were sister shook. Kenshin had been watching you and Sasuke for some time now during your game nights. He knew at this point that his ninja had fallen in love with you and honestly despite looks, Kenshin had a soft spot for those who he held dear. He asked if you would like to live in his castle with the wacky bunch, even going as far as offering you a job to sweeten the deal. You loved the oda forces, and they were definitely like family to you, but honestly, you had too long ago fallen for the nerdy ninja boy. Plus over time you had really come to love Kenshin and the gang. You definitely didn’t hesitate to accept Kenshin’s offer. You quickly packed up all your belongings and wrote a long letter to each of the Oda forces expressing how much you loved and was going to miss them.

You made your way to Kasugayama with Kenshin to arrive on the evening of Sasuke’s birthday. Kenshin smiled as he walked into the banquet hall with you trailing behind him, “Sasuke I have a birthday gift for you.” Sasuke looked up and locked eyes with you, he was ecstatic. You simply smiled and walked over to your long time friend and handed him a birthday gift that you had managed to make for him on your journey to Kasugayama.

You had hand-drawn him a manga, not only that but on the last page of this homemade manga was a confession of love. When Sasuke realized that you had felt the same way he did, he used his hand towel to very dramatically dab away his fake tears, before capturing you in his arms and showering your face in small kisses. You couldn’t help but break into the biggest blush as everyone at the banquet cheered and whistle. Honestly, they had never seen Sasuke ever show any kind of emotion, but now with you in his arms, he was wearing the biggest smile and radiating pure happiness.

Sasuke loved everything about you. He loved that you could sing and play instruments. He could listen to your beautiful voice for hours and hours, he especially enjoyed it when the two of you would make up stupid songs about the most random of topics and sing them while trolling the people of Kasugayama. It was always a good time to irritate them like younger siblings would.

As a fellow intellectual, you relay enjoyed helping Sasuke with his research, tracking wormholes and discovering new theories of time and space. You loved bouncing ideas and theories off each other. Together the two of you managed to make and design the coolest ninja weapons, which was mostly for your entertainment. As the two of you would play ninja ninja out in the garden, throwing smoke bombs and blunt ninja stars at each other.

For a brief time, you and Sasuke even went back to the future so that Sasuke could present his research findings. He honestly was such a nervous little bean, so he really appreciated the fact that you were right there by his side the entire time, giving him all the help and support. He also loved that you helped him with his presenting skill and listened to his presentation over and over until it was perfect. Of course, after the presentation was over, the two of you went back to the past the second the next wormhole opened, as that was where all your friends and loved ones were.

Upon your return, Kenshin threw the two of you a big banquet to welcome you home, where Sasuke sang your praise for helping and supporting him. Kenshin was so impressed by your skills in the field of public speaking and presenting that he actually appointed you an official job as Uesugi force negotiator and mediator. A job which enables you to inspire people to work together towards a more peaceful world, free of conflict.

Sasuke knew that you had some insecurities around your body, which he didn’t understand at all as, in his eyes, you were the most beautiful woman alive. A fact, which he would remind you of every day by wrapping his arms around your waist and gently whispering just how much he adored you, before meeting your lips in a sweet kiss.

Sasuke loved to spend as much time as humanly possible with you, joking around and chatting for hours and hours about all your common interests. If the two of you cuties aren’t trolling Yuki, you are snuggled together just enjoying each other presence. Usually, Sasuke would hold you in his arms as he rests his head on your shoulder while you play the guitar and sing the most beautiful songs to him.

This romantic ninja boy will most definitely also take you up onto the rooftop and cuddle with you while telling you everything he knows about the stars and universe above you. You can’t help but smile and kiss his cheek thanking the universe for sending you your better half
