I don't do followxfollow. And here's why: I've noticed a decrease in my followers, I'm sure some of them simply unfollowed due to disinterest, but I noticed others were follow x follow people. That's not ok. If you follow me it's because you like what I do. To me Instagram isn't a popularity competition, it's a tool to get people to know my work and to get commissions and work from people interested in my skills. If people keep following me to get a follow and then unfollow me once I followed back it just throws my numbers off and I don't know who followed because of interest and who does it to gain more followers. It's annoying and makes me having a feel of my audience so much more difficult. I think I had already mentioned this, but it's happened again so I thought it necessary to say it again: I'll only follow you if I like what you do, that's it. Sorry if I seem rude, I don't mean to be, but keeping the number of people who follow me real helps me gauge the size and feel of my audience and post my content accordingly. I hope you understand.
