Closed doors only see the evil grin & hidden intention

A silent chess game the world has become

BARNABY WITH PANTS??? BLASPHEMY!!! however this is a (dnd-inspired) fantasy au so. pants! loose pants tucked into modified boots because no one can tell me No!

based off of Clown's pokemon au human Barn, it seems like he might be a bit of a jewelry guy! he was wearing rings! and had an earring! also i think Barn just looks great w/ some extra shinies, yk yk

since ties aren't really a Thing in fantasy settings, i combined the iconic pattern w/ his vest for a two-in-one. then suspenders bc they fuck severely! his belt buckle is a bone both as a nod to the pattern on his tie / house decoration, and to go along with how Wally has an apple buckle! besties stay twinning!

you can't see it but on his other side he has his pack & his smoking pipe holster, which attaches to his belt! it's very high quality leather that he spent so much money on. his pipe is important to him - he carved it himself out of wood from an important tree from his childhood, so he wants it to be properly stored & protected! he has two kinds of tobacco for it - normal, and magic tobacco that essentially allows him to cast minor spells w/ the smoke

the feathers on his hat are from Ms. Beagle! in my mind he left the farm to go adventuring on a bit of a bad note, but his mama made sure to give him a couple feathers to take with so that she'd always be close <3

he keeps his claws blunt so that he doesn't accidentally scratch people/things, and so that he can play stringed instruments without cutting the strings. while i imagine for this au he plays a wide range, he prefers Loud Handheld Instruments that allow him to sing along. so in mind he has an Accordion here! loud! jaunty! but i imagine he also keeps a recorder in his pack for when Frank needs annoying. (he did have a lute, but he broke it over someone's head in the act of defending Wally's honor)

im still trying to pin down the right balance of colors for his outfit, but! for a little au tidbit - all of his spots are the same two blues as his ears. in this im imagining that he, at a young age, learned a very basic cosmetic spell that allowed him to change his spots color to mimic Ms. Beagle's! he wanted to look like his mama! but by the time he's in his late 20s he no longer changes his spots

YOOOO! HazbinHotel Trailer just Drop!😱 Spoilers Along with the Release date of Season 1 and 2! Let Us know your Opinion about it!😆

Some things we know:

Amazon Prime is the streaming service that took it up Season 1 will be released in January 2024

It's going to get a season 2

The voice actors still haven't been announced for some reason? The trailer has no dialogue on top of that. We see Lucifer, a lot of Alastor and Vox fighting, the weird demon-looking angel Adam, a meeting of Hell overlords discussing the angel threats, and Sir Pentious is part of the gang now. That's about it? The trailer's music reminds me of a Disney movie for kids. There are a lot of Tinkerbell chime noises and jazzy upbeat music which I don't think is fitting for what the show is trying to go for as a teen-to-adult plot regarding demons from Hell being murdered and dealing with abuse. (They have "Guess what, bitches?" on a text screen in the trailer too) So first impression is extreme overcrowding. List of characters that appear in the trailer alone: Charlie Alastor Vaggie Angel Dust Husker Niffty Sir Pentious Lucifer Lilith Vox Velvet Adam Rosie and we all know Cherri Bomb and Valentino are gonna show up too. These are way too many characters to introduce or juggle in an 8 episode season. There is no possible way to give our main characters enough screen time, focus, or development to make them meaningful protagonists. They either have to rush plots or drop character arcs to squeeze things into 8 episodes.

#really confused and surprised theres a season 2 announced when season 1 hasnt even been released yet #but it is A24 so maybe theyre more willing with their money than netflix or disney #im confused as to why it was announced as soon as the writers strike ended #because season 1 was finished and it was nothing but streaming service deals and PR team stuff happening at that point #so i dont think that is hte reason #it had to have been a streaming service deal still being refined #i just dont see anything meanful in the announcement trailer so #we'll have to wait for the official one #hazbin hotel #hazbin hotel critical #im kinda sad that im not excited anymore #i waited years for this series #but after helluva boss season 2 #ive kinda learned what to expect and i dont think its gonna be any good #especially because it breaks a ton of religious lore rules #and that means the world building is gonna be a mess #watch charlie vaggie and niffty get no development #everyone is still also very very red #the thumbnail alone... who are we meant to focus on? #im so tired

So their is so sO SO much wrong with the Lightning thief movie But I think my two favorite things that don't make sense are

1) apparently Percy's name is just 'Percy' because he needed help to name a third demigod and he had to look at the Greek to get the name 'Perseus'

2) for some reason their are Thirteen thrones on Olympus. It's goes (right to left) Dionysus, Hephaestus, Hera (a decision to put her here of all places), Hermes, Aphrodite, Poseidon, Zeus (at the head), Athena, Ares, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, EMPTY THRONE! Why 13? For Hestia? But she doesn't have a throne she gave it up. For Hades? He also doesn't have one on Olympus!

Yk I think a good example of how much the writing for Diego changed between S1 and S3 is Diego going from being ready to throw hands when someone calls Grace a machine in S1, to telling Klaus the only mother they knew "plugged into a wall" in S3, like he wouldn't have punched someone out if they had said the same thing one month ago.

#i dont think its completely ooc. like i can rationalize that response if i think about it. #he's dealing with a lot and some of that has to be reconciling with the fact that their grace no longer exists #and the only one that DOES exist now is much more machine and definitely not their mom. #but....mmmm #it sorta speaks to how little the writing allows diego to process loss. and it continuously makes me a bit sad. #klaus and allison and even viktor are allowed to mourn the people they've lost to some important degree. #but diego? he mostly just looks sad for a little bit and then the narrative pushes him onward to the next thing with the kind of speed #that sometimes makes it feel like something is lacking. like his arc is incomplete. #it just strikes me as odd that he can go from loving grace the way he did in s1 and stressing her humanity to almost dismissing her in s3 #i can see how they arrived there but it feels like going from point a and skipping a whole step just to get to point c faster. #out of knives [ooc];

I'm not even kidding when I say this is pure and genuinely evil. Those writers, the backbone of the entertainment industry? They see them as disposable. They have to know it's not just rent money for apartments or housing the writers are losing, right?

Utilities, clothing, food, water. Any sort of fucking medical injury that their insurance can't cover if they have any. They won't be able to pay because these executives can't give them the proper percentage they deserve

They have to know this is essentially killing them, because based off of this quote, they know that they are losing money for their housing, and they are completely fine with it coming to that, because they want to break those writers to come crawling back to them, allowing those studios to have the upper hand in the deal

Look I'm not any type of writer, I haven't kept up fully with the strike, just that it's been going strong. But I think even if you showed the most clueless person that isn't online most of the time and you'd showed them this qoute, they would have to agree that this. This is genuinely awful.

honestly the amptp forcing a wga strike right before the dga and sag-aftra contracts are up (and therefore all union directors and actors could potentially strike) is horrifying just because this is my livelihood but also kind of funny just because of the audacity. they’ve lost their minds.

im .. always gonna be salty about my brief spit of contact with the ADHD clinic i was referred to because it was comically bad but mostly strike 3 on my already piss-poor opinion of mental health services in my area when i didnt have the freedom or mental bandwidth to try again

#like i literally had real ass reasons i needed to cancel these appointments as well but ooohh noooo #without speaking to me at all they can tell from a little glance at my medical history that i probably dont have ADHD #strikes 1 and 2 by the way were 1 - the ordeal of gender identity clinics in general being so ... messy ... and taking ages #(ages at that point is a blink of the eye compared to the TWELVE YEAR WAIT LIST which now exists) #and 2 was the regional mental health care nurse causing me to have a panic attack .. #in a way which even the student doctor with him was clearly uncomfortable over ... he sent out my two family chaperones as a 14 yr old #who could barely talk to ANYONE because 'it wouldnt be a good assessment' or some shit #anyway ... salty #im coping but i do think its likely i have adhd still ... just effort getting it sorted at this point yknow #im 28 and have other life shit to deal with other than starting a fight with mental healthcare over my idiot brain right now #rory's ramblings
