asteroid lazarus (3602) in astrology: ☄

lazarus is the famous biblical figure in the gospel of john who is risen from death by jesus after four days in his tomb. a few days ago, i made this tweet talking about asteroid lazzaro and how it can be used to locate issues that we deal with several times

this asteroid can also represent issues that need to be discussed over and over to vindicate a particular person — situations that must fester to be resolved. in the bible, jesus declines to heal lazarus of his sickness so his resurrection later can act as proof of jesus’ divinity

after reading more of the story surrounding lazarus, i also made these interpretations based on a few specific verses:

john 11:11 - 14 — “After he had said this, he went on to tell them, 'Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.' His disciples replied, ‘Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.’ Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. So then he told them plainly, ‘Lazarus is dead.’”

astrologically speaking, this could relate to conflicts where people will constantly misinterpret you until you speak to them in a completely direct manner. jesus' disciples confuse his words until he frankly tells them that lazarus has died

whichever house asteroid lazzaro is placed in will represent the areas of your life that you may need to be extremely honest with people. for example, i have this asteroid in my 4H (family, one's parents) and my mom really hates being lied to, so she raised me to always be truthful

john 11:21 — "'Lord,' Martha said to Jesus, 'if you had been here, my brother would not have died.'"

john 11:32 — "When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, 'Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.'"

these are two particular verses where martha and mary literally repeat the same thing to jesus, which is another reason why i connect this asteroid to repetitive issues. jesus has to affirm to them multiple times that he is the son of god before he finally resurrects lazarus

this asteroid could be associated with situations where people cannot be convinced by your words, only your actions. jesus waits for lazarus to die for the sole purpose of convincing his disciples and witnesses that he is god's child

john 11:35 — "Jesus wept."

this is one of the only times that jesus actually cries in the bible. in this particular book, jesus grieves with martha and mary over the loss of their brother; weeping out of sympathy for their pain

i think there's a big element of sympathy and understanding to this asteroid. in relationships, for example, this could represent recurring issues that are ultimately resolved through mutual understanding and support. jesus is only able to comfort martha and mary by crying with them

Something funny about being a celto-norse pagan witch living in the US Southern ✨Biiiiible✨ belt (specifically Arkansas) is that in public, when, for example, after checking out with the cashier, you tell them “have a blessed day!”

They automatically usually think you’re Christian; however, did you specify who is doing the blessing?

Nope!

They’re thinking you meant it from YHWH/Jehovah/Jesus/etc. but they don’t know that you actually meant it from yourself or *insert deity here*.

“Have a blessed day!” is a great closeted witch phrase!

New moon in Cancer astro forecast.

Sun and Moon trine neptune. Mars opposite Saturn. Mercury square jupiter. Sun and Moon Sextile Uranus. Sun and Moon opp Capricorn.

As much as the water out here getting weird, there is a huge craving for it. Some of you my feel etra thirsty for water. Some people will feel a need to bathe/wash more. Some need to go to a bath house, man made lake, pool, or water park. I get a sense of floating be emphasized more than actual swimming. Learn how to stay on the surface relaxed. Some of you just might sit in the rain with all of these storms.

Please go outside a lot. Just... do it. Bring water with you on your exploration. Some of you need to forage, hike, go on trails, or go camping. Some of you may want to learn how to hunt or fish.

Your routines as far as nurturing yourself may change. Some of what used to nurture you no longer works. So you find new stuff. Or it's unpredictable. Like what nurtures you turn on and off and you have no control over the cravings or lack there of. This might irritate some loved ones. Please don't expect them to know how to read your mind or adapt to your changes at the same speed as they come in. It could be vice versa too. It feels like there is a strain on communication here because of unstable changes in how you take care of your mental and physical health.

Some of you are going through some anxious work changes. Some of you really, really, need to just stop working for a bit. Some of you need savings to last more than 3 months of rest and don't have it. Some of you need to ask for accommodations at work for physical or mental health needs. Some of you can only work part time. Some of you need to work multiple jobs so that a singular job doesn't stress you. Some of you need a flexible schedule. Some may need government resources and community resources. Some of you need family amd friends help. Some of you may turn into the main household earner (may have a dependant, someone else needs to rest and you need to pick up). A lot of you are gonna feel vulnerable because you hate being dependant on others and want to feel pride in being independant. Trust issues with people need to be overcome (love louder than fear even if fear is present). You really need to ask for help from a multitude of places. Please don't be ashamed of relying on the government for a bit. I get not trusting the government though, hence tapping into other resources, communities, or loved ones. You might just see a mix of this instead of one thing being to extreme. They individually are mild, but together can be anxiety provoking.

Preganancies.... everywhere. Some chaotic emotions here because many are still grieving the deceased and haven't recovered from it.

Spiritual health is very important right now. A lot of you may feel drawn to using water or blessed water a great deal in your rituals or as an offering.

Anyone thinking about one of those salt water tank capsules that blocks out your other senses (sight, sound) that you can float in?

About My Blog: I mostly make beginner friendly posts on specific/nuanced types of magic, and strive to keep as much of it as secular as possible so that anyone can use them. I also post art sometimes when it's relevant to my craft in some way, usually digital art or some sort of fiber work. I also do varied types of divination; cartomancy, tarot, dice reading, throwing bones, and other things of the sort will pop up from time to time. Sometimes I do free simple readings but not always and not for all divination types, feel free to ask about that! About My Craft: Parts of my path are specific to my family's own traditions and heritage, which will mostly stay private. I can't say my style of witching falls into just one or two categories, it's an eclectic mix of art magic, astral magic, death/spirit work, ancestor worship, elemental magic, space magic, not to mention shadow work (which is more psychology than anything, but hey it fits in wonderfully!).

Fair warning: I'm pro-hex, pro-curse, and anti-appropriation. I use cannabis in my craft as well as hallucinogens. I'm autistic, disabled, and mentally ill; none of these things invalidate my work or magic.

the eighth house and pluto: 📝

last month, i made a poll asking my followers if they wanted a thread on pluto in its own house, so here a list of some characteristics i’ve seen in 8H plutos:

very interested in psychology and what goes on within the mind. much like 8H mercuries they are students of human nature

brilliant musicians and poets due to their passion for psychology. since they like to know how the mind works, they enjoy being able to move others, excite them, terrify them, etc.

incredible psychic prowess, though they can be unaware of these skills / passively embrace them

capable of becoming very powerful and socially impactful people as pluto is the planet of power

these individuals can have a difficult relationship with shared finances and business contracts. receiving or lending money can typically intimidate or bring them stress

true crime, horror, murder mysteries, thriller movies, etc. are usually big favorites of theirs

ACHIEVEMENT GET: SATURN RETURN

It's my 31st birthday in three days, and I'm finally exiting the last bit of my first Saturn Return. When it started at 27, I was still living at home. I was knee deep in spiritual experiences, and for the longest time I believed my mom was holding me back from learning what exactly had happened when I had my psychotic break at 19.

Now that my first Saturn Return is coming to an end, I've received an immense amount of clarity in addition to living on my own for the first time since my psychosis for over three years and getting the validation from my mom that I had always thought was unavailable to me. A few days ago she even handed me the CD-ROM of the reading she got from a psychic medium during my time in outpatient.

As I listen to bits of the recording at time, both alone and with others, I start to realize that the things I had sensed before my psychotic break have always been true. I just wasn't in the right place to know. When I was 19, I was convinced I was experiencing spirit sickness and walking a path to enlightenment. But when my mom first said to me "You know, these paths take people their entire lives," I believed she was just trying to say that what I had believed was untrue.

So, what exactly is true? Well, I have spirit sickness. It manifests as Schizophrenia. When I was 19, I had psychotic break that landed me catatonic in the hospital for six weeks. Plagued by delusions at the time, I was also being broken in by the spirit world to be able to handle the work I was assigned this lifetime.

My Schizophrenia will never completely go away because of the society we live in, but it allows me to do my work because of the benefits I receive as someone with disabilities. The work I am assigned is to heal my Higher Self. Right now, that includes learning to rest my soul through joy, contentment and gratitude. It may evolve over time, but that is the first lesson.

I am incredibly grateful for this clarity. I feel liked I have successfully learned the lessons necessary for me to get through my first Saturn Return with flying colors. I feel like I can finally move forward with confidence that I am a spirit worker with a calling, and like I am finally an adult. I am blessed to be in the position I am in, with the support I receive. I believe this is going to be my best birthday yet.

Olivia is friendly, serious, decisive, and speaks her mind. Sometimes, it's not what others want to hear, but what she, as an often objective observer, thinks they need to hear. (not being able to see their emotions helps her bluntness, but she can often feel them anyway) She's not one of the more forward characters, but she is vital in many moments, especially during the plot when a Mercury retrograde causes a corruption of astral Gemini, trapping some of the kids in the astralverse while shadow versions of them wander about. Olivia is the only one who can tell the shadows apart from the real cast.
