Anthony Black || Twenty-Five || Cashier/Bartender || Magical
“Wait, did he just say we couldn’t have dessert?”
Anthony has always been a riot. He was a loud baby, crying his head off the moment he learned how to, and as he grew older his anger issues never really died down. He was ecstatic when he was happy and overly passionate. Sometimes he talked too much and landed himself in trouble and sometimes he talked a lot less and more so with his fists. He never got into a fight for no reason; he didn’t like seeing people get picked on and he made it clear from the jump that he was not someone to mess with himself. His dad was a correctional officer so he was always teetering the fine line between being a good citizen and to being on a one-way ticket to a permanent lockdown. His mother was always the calmest one in the house; a midwife who had the gentlest soul he had ever known. Anthony had always wished he was more like his mother, but he knew he had his father’s temper, lack of patience, and shitty overall attitude. The two were constantly butting heads and more often than not, Anthony was slamming doors and staying over at his friend’s houses.
His friends were an odd bunch. Up until high school he had only hung out with people that pissed his dad off. And then he met Sadie. She was a quiet, but the nicest girl he had ever met. She helped him get out of detention once for covering for a prank he did even though she didn’t know him at all. He had gotten himself detention the same day just to ask her why and ever since the two were close. He had never seen someone who reminded him of his mother like Sadie did and so he opted to hanging out with her instead of his other friends. She was always a little down in the dumps, so Anthony went out of his way to keep her cheered up in his own ways. Through Sadie he found himself meeting and becoming friends with Davina Bonney and Felix Park. Davina was a smart ass, but she was fun to hang out with despite her always trying to get on his nerves, and Felix was flighty, but Anthony always had the urge to keep him safe. It wasn’t long before the three of them were thick as thieves and when Jocelyn Joyce was forced into his life that fateful night, things only got better (even though most of the time Jocelyn and Anthony butted heads).
He never really found out he possessed magic on his own. Slowly, their friendship group started noticing how certain people seemed to project specific emotions onto each other and strangers. It was almost as if each of them were the living embodiment of that emotion and it came to no surprise when Anthony’s anger projected to everyone around him the angrier he grew. It was this discovery that made him agree to move in with the gang once college was done. He knew he kind of rushed into things and he regretted it a little bit. He loved his roommates, he really did, but when it came to things outside of his friends he was a little lost. Even with the degree in his pocket he still felt like he was doing something wrong with his life. He didn’t really know where his passion was and he wished he could figure it out. He sees how put together his friends are and how they are working towards their futures and he feels just as stuck as he did before he met Sadie. Lost, angry, and confused. For now he has a part time job at Al’s Toy Barn during the day and the Snuggly Duckling at night but he feels like even that is just digging him into a deeper hole. His friends keep telling him he’s be fine but….what if he isn’t?
🌹Opinions on Magic:
He kind of hates it. Being able to project anger onto others? A shit end of the stick if you ask him.
Barrett Myers: Someone who understands his anger and seems to thrive off of it. The two of them catch up for drinks often. He would call Barrett his best friend outside of his childhood gang.
Violet Parr: She’s shy most of the time, but pretty cool. Anthony would love to get to know her more, maybe ask her to hang out sometime. He isn’t really good with people who aren’t as angry as him, but he tries his best.
Rapunzel Sonne: His second ball of sunshine. There is just something about Rapunzel that has a calming affect on him. He likes to hang out with her every now and then, having met her randomly while passing her by. It’s a friendship he isn’t loud about, but cherishes deeply.

Their hearts sung in blissful harmony as their heads were clear with only the words of a promise lingering. The promise to make a land that is good and a land that is under the principles of personal freedom.
"What was it that you wanted to show me exactly?" inquired the ever-so-slightly supercilious, accented voice of a young male. He had ended up loitering outside a broken-down vehicle with an older British man after the former had invited him out there.
"Well you see, Tommy," the similarly accented but deeper voice of the former addressed the teenager. The two had known each other for a little while, prior to searching for 'home' and eventually joining D'Simpariya. "I've been thinking that in order to survive in this land, as well as any other, you need to be independent and have mass amounts of wealth - are you following me so far?"
Tommy nodded, eyes squinted slightly, he was interested in where his friend, Wilbur, was going with this.
"After - you know - inspecting what occupations were and were not available and narrowing them down based upon your abilities, facilities and resources. I have narrowed the options down to just one. I'm not going to beat around the bush, so I'll just say it - Tommy Innit, will you join my drug operation with me?"
In order for this business to thrive, the two newly, self-proclaimed criminals would have to create a demand for the drugs. The "drugs" in question were, in reality, just the mass production of hard-to-acquire potions and other rare contraband. Tommy and Wilbur had agreed that the most efficient way of creating a demand for such items were to remove already existing potion-brewing stands, ingredients and previously made elixirs. Initially and co-cooperatively, the two had acted under the pretense that these materials were detrimental to people's overall health, and that they were just doing a public favor by confiscating them.
"What are you two doing with all those stands?"
Tommy and Wilbur tensed up at the sudden voice. Both turning around, they saw a tall, armor-clad young man squinting at them expectantly. Tommy tripped slightly as he hurried to conceal the large bag of brewing stands behind him, all while Wilbur stared composedly at the armored male.
"Hello Sapnap. We were just confiscating these brewing stands as we feel they are very dangerous for the health of the people. Actually, did you know what the long-term effects of strength potions are? They-"
"I'm going to stop you right there," Sapnap interrupted Wilbur. Taking two strides forward, Sapnap tilted his head up at the somewhat taller man - peering at him down his nose. "There's something going on here, Wilbur - isn't there?"
Composed and calm, Wilbur did not give Sapnap the satisfaction of answering his questions, he stared deep into the other's dark blue-grey eyes. Challenging him - silently. Letting out an exhale, Wilbur turned away and nudged Tommy along with him. He paused for a moment and carefully unclenched his fists, calming his erratic heart rate, he turned his head over his shoulder before saying, "see you later."

I've been playing with drawing and sketching characters using a limited color palette, and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I'll be doing more of these, as I feel like limiting the color forces me to be more challenged with how I shade.

Oh I want somebody to love me as who I am when I'm reading a book
Its not too much to ask for, is it really? For someone to fall in love with me the way I sniff the book before I even begin reading it; devouring the beautiful smell that has travelled through so many hearts and hands before finally making its way to mine, the way I spend my time touching and tracing my fingers over as if to establish a connection before I begin on this impalpable journey to exist in somebody else's life, the way I spend too much time reading the introduction and analysing the index as if I could almost peep through the author's mind into what made him write it, the way I take a deep breath before beginning on to the first chapter;the way I proceed to become an entirely different human by the end of the book; acquiring experiences and living as somebody else, the way I squint my eyes and close the book for a second when the character does something embarassing, the way I laugh along the joys brought in their lives, the way I re-read sentences that make sense to just me, to just me. Most importantly, I want that someone, MY SOMEONE, to come, hold me in his arms when my eyes well up and I shatter into a million pieces as the author chooses to cease the life of somebody that existed in a manner too real to me. I want that someone, to just comfort me in the endless silence between us, as I choose to sob to convey my emotions, not having to explain the cause of my tears, not having to explain anything, not having any void between us to erase and try to weave strands of words to make any sense, because some things, just don't.
And if not, maybe I would ask life to give me a chance, of being that someone, to someone, and maybe loving him as who he is, while he reads a book.

Jeongyeon’s eyebrows furrowed in concentration as she read over some important papers. She could hear Sana babbling on about something but she wasn’t really paying attention, too focused on the task at hand.
“Sister Jeongyeon? Are you listening to me?” Sana asked. Jeongyeon jumped slightly, apologising.
“No, Sana, I’m sorry, is something the matter?” She asked, the younger girl proceeding to ask what she thought of unrequited love. “Uhm...it’s certainly sad but it’s not something I’ve personally experienced, why do you ask?”
“Well...I may have a crush on someone...someone higher than me status wise”
“Oh my- Sana I’ve told you it’s perfectly fine to have crushes on singers” Jeongyeon said, stifling a giggle when she thought back to all of Sana’s crushes throughout the years.
“It’s not a singer though” Jeongyeon quirked an eyebrow.
“Oh? Then who?” Sana leaned close to the older girl and whispered a name in her ear. “Oh my Lady Aeri! You’re kidding!” Jeongyeon exclaimed, voice bouncing off if the walls of the cathedral. Sana winced.
“No...unfortunately I’m not, what should I do? I’ve tried praying but am yet to receive an answer...” Sana pouted, slumping in her chair, quickly straightening her posture when Jeongyeon told her to.
“You already know the answer dearest Sana and a little birdie told me Mistress Hirai will be visiting tomorrow” Jeongyeon winked, lightly nudging her friend, chuckling at her instant blush.
The well known Mistress Hirai Momo’s family was Aewiron’s main supplier for magical oils that were used for medical purposes and such but Momo herself was one of Aewiron’s strongest knights, for that reason she was well respected throughout Aewiron. She liked to visit the small village every now and then to check if her family’s oils were working well and also because of how comforting she found the village. If she were being honest, Momo preferred the small village over her big and (in her opinion) overly fancy house.
Momo flashed a smile at the guards who saluted at her as she walked through the gates. Immediately, Momo was drawn to the smell of fresh pastries, her nose practically dragging her towards the stand.
“Mistress Hirai! Welcome! See anything you’d like?” The owner asked. Momo tapped her chin as she looked over the different pastries, trying her best not to buy the whole stand.
“They all look divine, Soobin, how about you recommend one?” Momo smirked, not missing the blush that spread over the woman’s cheeks who was probably more than surprised at the fact that Momo remembered her name.
“O-oh! Uh...I think you should try the apple crisscross should you be in a sweet mood” Momo smiled.
“I’ll go with that then” Momo took the pastry, handing the flustered woman her money with a little extra.
Momo spent most of the day walking around and chatting with a couple people who she was familiar with. When night fell, she made her way to the cathedral, admiring it before entering. As soon as she stepped in, she was amazed by the calm atmosphere, her ears perking at the beautiful sound of the organ.
“Welcome to Saint Aeri’s Cathedral Mistress Hirai, we are pleased to make your acquaintance”
Momo jumped slightly before quickly recovering and greeting the Sister back.
“I’ve never seen you around before, what’s your name sweetheart?” The Sister blush, stammering out her name. “Sana? Pretty name for an even prettier girl” Sana giggled, thanking Momo.
“Are you planning on staying the night, Mistress Hirai?” Momo had only just noticed how late it was as she glanced at the clock.
“I suppose, I’m perfectly capable of going home myself and defending myself if needed but I’m not keen on going through the hassle tonight” Sana nodded and asked if Momo was going to stay at the inn, quickly apologising when she realised how nosy she must’ve sounded. “It’s no problem, I’m happy to be talking to an angel like yourself” Sana blushed again, thanking Momo for the compliment.
Jeongyeon smiled and shook her head from afar, thanking the gods above for finally granting Sana happiness.
