“You’ve got this….you can change…you can be someone she’s proud of.” ♠️

Because of all the White Rabbit Fest art I’ve been seeing Deuce everywhere, so I decided to revisit him and drew this piece looking back on his delinquent phase! I wanted to draw that moment he decided to change his ways to better himself for his mother, so I drew him looking in the mirror getting ready to dye his hair. I always enjoy seeing Deuce in the game trying his best and I love seeing him celebrate his little victories along the way in the game, like with Wish Upon a Star and his ceremonial robes vignettes. Can’t wait till we get the White Rabbit Fest on the English version so we get more Deuce backstory 🤧

I could ramble about Deuce and his growth for ages, but I’ll end it with I’m just so proud of him 😭 I’m going to try and focus on the Sebcroc comic to get it done before the end of the week. Hopefully I’ll have time to do some simplistic doodles along the way, but we shall see.

Deuce mentions in his ceremonial robes vignette that he wanted to show his mom his track & field award, and we learn in his rabbit wear vignette he really did end up sending her a pic of the award and she was so happy she went and told the neighbors about it🥹

his mom's been telling the other townspeople how hard he's been working at school, and that he's started asking her lately how she's been doing and telling her not to push herself too hard. and she's so, so happy that he's made good friends and is having so much fun every day 🥹

his whole rabbit wear vignette is so good. it shows that deuce understands that even though he's changed and is trying to do better now, that doesn't erase all the pain and trouble he's caused for others in the past

there's a moment where he feels down and wonders if he's even grown at all as a person, but after helping someone he used to cause a lot of trouble for when he was younger and hearing that person say they see him in a new light now, it strengthens his resolve again.

he was planning to go back home alone and just say hi to his mom and ride his blastcycle, but realizes if yuu & the others hadn't come along, he wouldn't have been able to talk to the townspeople like this. he fumbles for words, and then he smiles and thanks them for coming🥹

Hello! I'm wonder what is known about the suits of cards on the faces of the students from the Heartslabyul?

Hello hello! Thank you for this question! I think the most information about the suit symbols might come from the Magical Archives Game Guide:

"The symbols on the students’ faces are magically applied by the housewarden when they are accepted into the dormitory, who decides what their symbol will be. After that initial application, the students apply their own symbol themselves via either make-up or magic." - Twisted Wonderland Magical Archives Game Guide (2020)

(Update: this has recently been confirmed in-game!)

Since Riddle became housewarden in his first year this seems to mean that he might not have decided the symbols for the current 2nd years or for Cater and Trey, but he did assign Ace's and Deuce's!

This information doesn't seem to track with certain, in-game scenes like Riddle's and Ace's ceremonial robes vignettes where Ace is wearing the heart-shaped makeup before he has been assigned to Heartslabyul, but this is likely just a limitation of the visual-novel medium.

Another example of users being asked to use their imaginations to compensate for the limitations of the sprites comes up in Phantom Bride, where Idia describes the outfits of Riddle, Rook, Ace and Epel as "burnt and tattered," "ripped" and "sweaty," when in game they do not look any different than usual.

(Though we do get a chance to see what it is that Idia is seeing in his Suitor Suit groovy!)

Since the creator's original intent maybe couldn't be reflected in the game (possibly due to technical limitations), it seems like it would be fine to go with whatever explanation you prefer for, for example, fanfic purposes, as the sprites themselves might just not be able to reflect the official explanation, which makes what is technically "canon" into something of a paradox.

Other things that Yana mentions in the guidebook are: ・Jade and Floyd being bio-luminescent in their eel forms (which we have yet to see in the game) ・Sebek trying to grow his hair out so that he can style it all back (which has not been mentioned in any in-game dialogue) ・Rook often wearing gloves in order to not leave any fingerprints (while he is usually wearing gloves, there is no in-game explanation about why) ・Lilia dyeing his hair (it is explained that his natural hair color is black and he changes the color depending upon his mood, so it is not always pink, but this has yet to come up in the game)

As for what we have actually seen in the game, we know that the suits are capable of changing color!

Ace's heart is black for his ceremonial robes and Playfulland looks, gold for Fairy Gala IF and silver for the Platinum series, while Deuce's is blue for the Rabbit Fes event, Trey's is silver for the Platinum series and Cater's is black for his ceremonial robes.

I'm not sure if this question has already been answered before but on what occasions do the NRC students wear their Ceremonial Robes? (Outside of an awarding like in Deuce's SR vignette.) Do they just wear it once every school year like in the Opening Ceremonies? 🤔

NRC students primarily wear the magic-infused robes for special occasions. Like Examples of such events are the new student orientation (seen in the prologue), large assemblies (Jack’s and Sebek’s Ceremonial Robes), awards ceremonies (Deuce’s Ceremonial Robes), and the Student Club Fair (Lilia’s Ceremonial Robes, Riddle’s Ceremonial Robes).

Students also generally wear the robes for formal occasions where they have to represent the school to parties from outside NRC; this is because the robes themselves are iconic and are so synonymous with NRC. (In Rook’s Ceremonial Robes, Vil describes the outfit as such: “Our ceremonial robes are emblematic of this school. They are not to be worn carelessly.”) They also seem to just be a piece of clothing people can choose to whip out and wear when it suits them though.

Examples of this include Silver’s Ceremonial Robes (he tells Idia he’s wearing the robes because they’re dark and help him blend into the night) and Ruggie’s Ceremonial Robes (where he and the staff wear them while working at the Mostro Lounge and serving primarily female customers from the nearby town). There’s also, more explicitly, Floyd’s Ceremonial Robes, where he, Kalim, and others dress in them while entertaining guests from the Scalding Sands Department of Education, and Vil’s Ceremonial Robes, where Jack states: “Apparently, a buncha bigwigs are comin' to the school, which is why we all had to change into our robes and gather out here.”

Related: With the reveal of more Clubwear for the athletic clubs (the Basketball Club and Track and Field Club), we can glean that purple and black are the "school colors" for NRC. This is also reflected in the Ceremonial Robes!

Ace, Deuce, Yuu, & Grimm Relationship Analysis

Before we got into this, I wanted to specify why I added Grimm in. Typically, when I see people talk about the relationship of any of the characters and Yuu, Grimm is never mentioned. Unless of course, they are referring to the relationship of Yuu and Grimm.

I think this is an oversight. Simply because Yuu and Grimm are quite literally a package deal. There are a few characters in the game you so rarely see without each other, Jamil & Kalim, Azul & the twins, these are examples of this. But you also see these characters on their own quite frequently. But Yuu and Grimm being separated from each other is abnormal.

I can only think of three examples where they are willingly away from each other. The first, being in Iida’s lab vignette where Grimm was sent by Ace and Yuu to go get snacks. But even then, Ace and Yuu weren’t far behind him. The second, when Yuu went to go talk to Malleus. Grimm was asleep during this, and even then - Yuu’s relationship with Malleus effects Malleus’s relationship with Grimm. Simply put, since Yuu has permission to call Malleus Tsunotaro, Grimm also has permission to call him Tsunotaro. And thirdly, when Grimm went to eat magic stones. Yuu wasn’t always aware Grimm was doing this and Grimm also kinda came off possessed during those times - which is another thing entirely to talk about, but the point still stands. Grimm and Yuu are rarely ever away from each other.

Which is why I included Grimm in this analysis, he is just as important to the relationship as Yuu is.

Now, moving on from that, let’s talk about Ace’s, Deuce’s, Yuu’s and Grimm’s relationship. They by far have one of the most unique relationships in the game. This is because we actually get to actively see their character growth throughout the game through the relationship.

They are the only group in the game that Yuu can say will be there to help them no matter what. Chapter four and six not standing simply because of the unique circumstances. But that doesn’t change the fact that Ace and Deuce wanted to help Grimm and Yuu, they just couldn’t get to them in time.

The other characters don’t do this. Typically, you’ll only see the character for their respective chapters and the following one. Chapter six is unique in that regard, but that seems to be the rule. Only, Ace and Deuce don’t follow this rule. They have been in every chapter, either in big or small ways.

Because of this, we get to see them grow as characters. We don’t get to really see this for other characters, but we can for Ace, Deuce, and Grimm.

In particular, I think Ace, Deuce, and Grimm are all effected by Yuu in a unique way. Yuu is described as “disgustingly nice” by some of the characters. And since they are villains, this isn’t surprising.

I think we see this “disgustingly nice” trait with Grimm the most. Keep in mind, Yuu took Grimm in. They could have kicked him out, or had Crowley kick him out once he showed up. Keep in mind, Grimm tried to burn Yuu alive on first meeting, and kept insulting and demeaning them second meeting because they didn’t have magic. It’s shown that Yuu feels sympathetic for Grimm, and that’s probably why they took him in, in a way.

Grimm treats Yuu as a henchmen but will get just as offended on Yuu’s behalf when something happens to them. And Ace has made a few comments on home screen, Ceremonial robes if memory serves, about how Grimm acts up the moment Yuu leaves. Grimm does cause Yuu a lot of trouble, but Yuu is known as a beast tamer because Grimm will only listen to Yuu. And I think that’s because Yuu is “disgustingly nice”. It’s kinda like, Grimm may give Yuu a hard time, but he’s the only one that can do that because that’s his henchmen.

Ace and Deuce do the same thing. They’ll give Yuu a hard time and cause trouble, but they are there for Yuu when Yuu needs help. They do this for each other as well. Considering these are the same people that had Yuu give them their lunch to help catch Grimm in the beginning, and they’ve now moved on to helping with much bigger things because they’re worried about Yuu says a lot about their character growth. And I think this is because Yuu is so “disgustingly nice”. Yuu hasn’t made the three of them better people, but Yuu has made them care more for their people.

And this concern isn’t centered around Yuu. It goes between all four of them. We see this in Endless Halloween with Ace. His vignette in particular. He knows Deuce is gone, so he goes to check Ramshackle to check if Yuu and Grimm are gone too. And when he finally gets them back, he’s angry because it was all just some big prank and he was worried something horrible happened to them. And he couldn’t even get mad because it was a prank pulled by the Malleus Draconia, and it was a big party for the ghosts.

This was the person that teased and poked fun at Grimm and Yuu in the beginning and tried to skip out on his punishment. This was the person that refused to work with the others and was content to get expelled. This was also the person that ran to Yuu because he knew they would at least let him stay at their dorm because they were so “disgustingly nice”. And this is the person that traveled a huge distance, spent and did who knows how much, just to get to Yuu and Grimm because they were in trouble. Him and Deuce didn’t even get to spend proper time with their families over break, because they immediately went to go help Yuu and Grimm.

Deuce was the person that got dragged into Yuu’s, Grimm’s, and Ace’s situation. Also refused to work with someone even though it could get him expelled. But he was also the person that went to check on Ace once he learned that something had happened. And even though Ace and Deuce both had times where they wanted something in exchange for their help, they went running to help both Yuu and Grimm once they knew they needed it.

Grimm is the person that didn’t have anyone before he came to NRC. And even then, the only person he had was Yuu. Yuu didn’t have anyone because they came to NRC and didn’t have anyone but Grimm. Ace and Deuce became people they could rely on. And Ace and Deuce could rely on them in turn.

Another thing is - spoilers - how Grimm, Ace, and Deuce are all helping Yuu get home in Chapter seven. All three will lose Yuu, who they care for deeply as a friend. Grimm in particular will be the most alone once Yuu leaves and there is no guarantee he can still be a student once Yuu leaves. But all three are still helping Yuu find a way home.

They have one of the clearest friendships in NRC. You know that they are friends. And I think this is because that they have one “non-villain” character that it’s so obvious that they are friends. Because while Ace, Deuce, and Grimm wouldn’t necessarily say that they are friends, Yuu would.

That’s not to say they don’t have their ups and downs. You notice this the most with Ace and Deuce. Ace teases Deuce a lot, and Deuce doesn’t appreciate it. While Ace teases people because he genuinely wants to make fun of them, he also does it to people he likes. It’s unclear on if Deuce knows this, but it does upset Deuce enough that he’ll go to the beach and scream about it. It’s also unclear on if Ace knows that it even bugs Deuce this much. It probably doesn’t help that the two can’t get away from each other, they share a dorm room. But they’re still friends.

People know that they’re still friends even when they frustrate each other, simply because if you can’t find the two with Grimm and Yuu, you can typically find them together.

Ace and Deuce are friends. Yuu and Grimm are friends. And while all four are friends, they do separate in that regard. But together they are a friendship group that cares about all of its members and will do anything for each other.

There’s an interesting phrase I’ve heard before. A hero would sacrifice you for the world, but a villain would sacrifice the world for you. I think this sums up the four’s relationship perfectly at the end of the day.

Anon! Sorry for the late reply; every time I start thinking about your ask I realise that I just love way too many cards aushdia Deuce’s Star Sending card is great, everyone’s outfits from this event are gorgeous; and Ace’s new card is honestly amazing, so I completely agree with you.

Floyd – Swimwear (+Groovy), I picked something spooky for Azul and Jade, and I originally wanted to either pick the Dorm Groovy or the Beans Groovy for Floyd, but then I saw the Stitch cards and they made me so happy that my hand slipped; Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), Beans Camo(+Groovy), Outdoor Wear Groovy, Basketball Jersey Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy, Broomquet Groovy, Playful Dress.

Kalim – Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), I thought I’d pick the Pop Music Club one, but then I looked at this groovy again and I god I think this is objectively one of my favourite cards from all of the boys simply because of Jamil’s bracelet reflecting Jamil’s concerned eye; Pop Music (+Groovy), New Year's Attire, Apprentice Chef Groovy, Playful Dress, Gala Couture Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy.

Jamil – Harveston (+Groovy), this one annihilated me, I cannot pick any other one, although Jamil is so gorgeous all the time that frankly it's unfair; Dorm Uniform (+Groovy, fuck), Basketball Jersey (+Groovy), Gala Couture Groovy, Masquerade Groovy, Labwear Groovy, Silk Adorned (+Groovy), Birthday Jacket Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy, Broomquet Groovy.

Vil – Halloween, let's face it, this is objectively the best Vil card, the legs, the outfit, the composition, it’s legendary… I honestly love this one much more than the Groovy version; New Year's (+Groovy), Beans Camo (+Groovy), Outdoor Wear (+Groovy), Silk Adorned (+Groovy), Labwear Groovy, Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), Birthday Jacker Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy, Broomquet Groovy, Playful Dress.

Rook – Beans Camo (+Groovy), I feel like this one has such a strong "Rook" presence, but at the same time it's kind of unusual in a way; Halloween Groovy, Lab Coat (+Groovy), Dorm Uniform, Ceremonial Robes Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Broomquet Groovy, Apprentice Chef, Port Wear (+Groovy), Tsumsitter Groovy (bonkers).

Epel – Harveston (+Groovy), the ultimate Epel Card, both versions are very beautiful; Rabbit Wear (+Groovy), Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), Birthday Jacket Groovy (yay Floyd) Birthday Boy Groovy, Broomquet Groovy

Idia – Masquerade (+Groovy), I think I literally picked every card of Idia lol he can do no wrong, but the Masquerade ones just hit different, they're so dramaticly delicious; Harveston Groovy, Suitor Suit (+Groovy), Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), Birthday Boy Groovy, Starsending Robes (+Groovy), Birthday Jacket Groovy, Labwear Groovy, Ceremonial Robes Groovy (aoba looking ass), Broomquet Groovy, Apprentice Chef (+ Groovy)

Malleus – Dorm Uniform it's gotta be this one, it's stupidly gorgeous and has a HEEL, I feel like this one expresses Malleus' entire being perfectly, but it was hard to pick between this one and the Masquerade+Halloween; Masquerade (+Groovy), Halloween (+Groovy), Labwear Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Birthday Boy Groovy, Broomquet Groovy, Silk Adorned Groovy, Apprentice Chef Groovy.

Lilia – General's Armor (+Groovy), it's so difficult to pick one for Lilia omg all of his cards are pretty great but this one is so ICONIC that I honestly have no choice; Swimwear (+Groovy), Halloween Groovy (FACEEE), Dorm Uniform (legs), Broomquet Groovy, Suitor Suit Groovy, Labwear Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Pop Music (+Groovy), Kingly Garb (+Groovy)

Sebek – New Year's (+Groovy), another difficult one to pick, maybe I'll change my mind after we watch ch7, but Sebek looks so good in this outfit and his face looks so good on this one + the perspective makes me weak; Armor of Eternal Night (+Groovy), Harveston (+Groovy), Masquerade (+Groovy), Dorm Uniform, Ceremonial Robes Groovy, Labwear Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Broomquet Groovy.

Silver – Halloween (+Groovy), the colours are gorgeous on both of these, but especially the non-groovy one: the teals and the blues work so wonderfully with pink accents, Silver is super pretty on this one; Gala Couture (+Groovy), Ceremonial Robes Groovy, Labwear Groovy (this one is so silly he's so serious), Broomquet Groovy, Birthday Jacket Groovy, Dorm Uniform (+Groovy), Birthday Boy Groovy.

favorite dorm?

for one, octavinelle. let me love the silly evil mafia trio that azul, jade and floyd are /lh but i do hold this kind of respect that azul is running a whole business that is mostro lounge on top of keeping up with his studies... and i actually enjoy reading vignettes like ruggie's ceremonial robes one and jack's labwear one where they work at mostro lounge, albeit for two different reasons.

i also like the trio's dynamic in general. jade and floyd do indeed claim on the surface that they could and would leave azul at the drop of a hat if they're ever bored with him (and it's like the whole boss-and-employee dynamic they share is almost like a game to the tweels, as very opposed to, say, the mess that is kalim and jamil's relationship).

and while that statement itself may be true, i believe they are actually very close in that jade and floyd wouldn't leave azul. or, there's no way they could be bored with azul; such a statement is true but is "fated" to be merely hypothetical. i think the fact that the three stick together despite that prospect that jade and floyd could very much leave azul if they wanted to, in my opinion, speaks to the actual unspoken closeness of their relationship.

i'd say a tie is also heartslabyul as well. i do enjoy the sort of inherently whimsical nature of the dorm itself, along with the poppy dorm uniforms everyone wears.

and of course, ace and deuce, who are also part of heartslabyul, are two of yuu's besties in the game. their dynamic is positively chaotic and they're very silly. but they are also serious when it comes down to it, like how ace really handed it to riddle in book 1. but also i grew to like riddle in book 1 onwards; he's so studious and also very strict but also quite innocent?? if that's the word?? at times as well... and he shows care (even if it's with an iron fist) toward his card soldiers, hehe. and, trey and cater are also kinda like two peas in a pod. despite cater being a closed off person, trey seems to know sort of the "deeper side" to him that is implied in cater's labwear, ceremonial robes, and halloween vignettes.

i don't know how to describe it well, but i feel they kind of strike this really nice balance of genuine silliness or a sense of friendliness between the dorm members and housewarden (after book 1) and the "oh shit-" chaos that is also somehow kind of silly at the same time.

with all that said though, i fully believe every dorm has its charm; i could probably write a mini essay on what i like about each dorm, but i think this post is plenty long enough lmao ☁️

For Attack Tests: Firepower!! DUOs are good, but depending on your cards, it may be more beneficial to use cards with buffs than weaker DUOs.

it's so funny comparing the card and sprites for Deuce's club wear

because on one hand, you have this:

an athletic, muscular boy. he clearly has strength, and could probably hit the 14m mark in shot put fairly easily. and as we know from his Ceremonial Robes vignette, is a pretty skilled track athlete in general, so would KILL IT in the other events, too!

and on the other hand...

we have noodle-arm Deuce, who looks as though he wouldn't even throw 8m in shot put?? (but still seems as though he could do fairly well in the 100m dash, to be fair)

it's just a little odd, isn't it?

I’m debating if it’s worth it to completely start over chapter 6-67 so I can have ace on my team and replace Cater with him.

Because his lab is a cosmic/water, and a healer. So not only would I gain a healer, but Deuce’s dorm ssr will also get duo magic if i get Ace.

The cons are that’d I’d actually have to start over 6-67 and level up Ace’s card, vignette and spell levels from the ground up.

So I’m debating if a healer and duo magic is worth all the extra stuff I’d have to do.

Cause for that team i have

-Riddle and I’m using his ceremony robes

-Azul and im using his union birthday jacket i dont have his dorm ssr 😭

-Cater and im using his birthday boy ssr

-Deuce and im using his dorm ssr

-Idia and im using his lab wear (which he’s extremely freaking weak like wtf i have him maxed out yet he can’t do anything)

I just got Lilia’s labwear also which is a water/water unit. So I could replace idia with him but that’d include needing to also build Lilia from the ground up

Which I don’t feel like doing (<3 you old man, but I’m too lazy to have to build up two cards)

literally cater is so pretty i can’t stand it now if only trey wasn’t in this one- dorm uniform cater

ace looks so shy and sweet in this and it’s for sure my favorite vignette out of all of them i just want to hug him- suitor suit ace

silver is so pretty and i can’t help but love all the animals checking in on this sweet sleeping boy- ceremonial robes silver

this is the only card that i like of rook’s. he almost looks tolerable- labwear rook

Jack Info Compilation part 9: Crewel

Jack says he has “a hard time dealin’ with” Crewel, who he describes as “intense.”

In Book 6 Crewel compliments him on a motivational speech he gives to Epel about focusing on the present.

Jack expresses doubt about Crewel’s ability to design a body for Ortho (Crewel: “A mere pup, concerned about ME?”) and compliments him in a conversation with Sebek about the depth of his knowledge of the fae, saying that he even impressed Vil. He also mentions needing to remember to thank Crewel during Port Fest.

As potionology teacher Crewel seems familiar with transformations: Deuce mentions a lesson they had with Crewel where he explained that transforming into another creature without the aid of a potion (like Jack can) requires “extremely high-level magic.”

The two overlap in a vignette where Jack is experiencing difficulty sprinting as fast as he feels he ought to be able to.

Jack is training for an interschool competition and says that while he knows he’ll get picked to represent NRC, it “feels like my body just isn’t functioning as well as it should be…I just hate that I can’t figure out what’s holding me back. I’m not overdoing it, I’m not neglecting my health…so why?”

Crewel calls the students over, saying that Jack is in need of correction. Jack is resistant, saying that “track’s nowhere near your territory.” (Crewel: “This is precisely why I cannot stand puppies.”)

Crewel reveals that he has deduced the reason why Jack has been failing to perform his best: “You’ve been focusing on building your pectoral and brachia muscles, and now your upper half is bursting at the seams…a poor fit in any one spot changes the feel of the whole outfit.”

Crewel adjusts Jack's uniform (“I will warn you, however, not to open the zipper at your tail too widely. It’s not a very becoming look.”) and reminds them that they will be barred from all track meet competitions if they fail their final exams.

(In a different vignette both Deuce and Jack win an award for their accomplishments at the track meet, implying that Crewel’s advice was a success.)

Jack’s clothes being ill-fitting seems to be a theme: he says that his school uniform is “tight around (his) abs,” possibly because of all the weight training that he does.

Vil also lectures him for wearing his ceremonial robes incorrectly.

HII CHERRY!! as you wish!

from the first year gang, Deuce is actually my favorite! (Jack comes as a veeery close second fave) at the prologue I didn't really think much about him, then chapter 1 came and I decided he was going to be one of my favorites. yes it was at the eggs scene. HE'S JUST SO SWEET? I already have a soft spot for these delinquent types of characters and then he loves his mom so much he just wants to make her proud??? LITERALLY DEUCE SPADE THE ONLY MAN EVER

I think a lot about him, I'm sure if I was at NRC he'd be one of my first friends <3 he may be slow, but he's sooo dedicated it's truly endearing! I think he might come to ask for my help during classes and immediatly I'd go: you. you are my friend now.

the way he cares so much about his friends is so cute too, how he's ready to throw fists to protect them!! and when he switches to his gangster personality and everyone gets shocked it's so funny, I love his angry face sprite

there are so many scenes with Deuce that I absolutely adore, the eggs scene on chap1, when he comes to rescue us at the end of chap4, when he goes to the beach with Epel on chap5, the whole Wish Upon a Star event, his Ceremonial Robes vignette...

he makes me have to resist the urge to kiss his cheeks every time he says something cute. I'm squeezing his cheeks right now, they are irresistible. the way I'd be so ready to throw hands the moment anyone says anything bad about him ever. yes that includes Ace, square up!! I'm defending him with my life!!!

the way his character developed more on chap5 and he discovered his U.M. was sooo cool I was so proud of him!! I'd be bragging about it to the entire school "oh, Deuce has got the coolest Unique Magic I've ever seen. yup, even better than the dorm leaders!! he solos anyone with it!" cue to him being flustered but very pleased about it while Ace sulks on the background
