I've had a blast coming up with new story ideas and writing out fresh scenes, and I'm feeling more confident than ever about where this story is headed. I owe a lot of that progress to the Writers Write Snippets prompts challenge, which has helped me add a huge chunk to my manuscript. I can't wait to see what new ideas March will bring. My ultimate goal is to finish this novel and get it out into the world. The end justifies the means and people don't need to know every little piece of the truth if they're happy with the end result. Even if those things they don't know about are murder, secrets buried away, and people who hide from the light?

Laèrtes Kamkàlion is such a person, a member of the Office of Naval Intelligence, seeking to undermine and bring down The Union by employing its own methods against it, for the - so they claim - greater good of all. The class had to write a short story using all the words from our spelling lesson. I wrote about a pregnant dolphin in captivity that simply wanted to be reuinited with her family in the ocean. I believe that simplicity can be a powerful writing tool. My descriptive writing has grown stronger since then but, sometimes it's best to go back to your roots when all you needed was a simple sentence using words from your spelling lesson. It's not always possible to wait for everything to be perfect before pursuing our dreams... some dreams should be nurtured even in the most difficult conditions! Start writing, no matter what. 🍁𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘/𝗪𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘🍁 How do you balance writing and life? The truth is...I don't. I’m a mother so you can probably guess that from day to day I'm often running after two kids. 😁 Finding a balance just doesn't happen during the day. But, I'm okay with that because I've always been a nightowl and working at night has always worked best for me! Being a nightowl was a habit I've always had. As a kid, after homeowork and dinner, I'd go to my room and chill. Listen to music, read, and do some writing. At 16, I got my first job. But, the nightowl habits never changed. Now as a mother, I still write at night because it's the only time I have to myself! ☺ How do you balance life and writing?
