you roll your eyes affectionately, knowing his first experiences with "modern" pop culture were only from genetic memory, kori, and gar. "conner, the 70s set the groundwork for most of what you hear today. but what you hear today? it created an entire generation, it set the groundwork for meme culture, for a connection that could not be attained back then. it offers its own beauty, and... you know what, kryptonian, just listen to this okay?" he laughs at your passion, and nods to say he'll give it a chance. like there was another option, you just got a new bluetooth speaker and learned how to connect it to the intercomms system within titans tower.

you tell conner to look through your spotify playlists and pick which one he'd like to try today, and as he hands your phone back to you, you nearly bounce on the balls of your feet because you see he picked a playlist ripe with peak early-mid 2010s pop and r&b -- the time of vine, the beginning of tumblr fandom crazes, the last time disney had consistently good content... oh you're about to have a party. you immediately press play and "wings" by little mix begins to play as you try to remember the dance moves from the music video and harmonize with the british girl group. conner seems to be pretty neutral, but you get him up on his feet anyway because you're going to enjoy this time either way.

at hearing the 2010s pop beats, rachel comes out of her room, and a smile graces her usually worried face as she starts to sing and dance with you. it's good to see rachel acting her age, enjoying herself after going through so much in a short number of months. the three of you dance along to little mix, amanda seyfried's crooning on the mamma mia soundtrack, and even a one direction song, enjoying the lighthearted nature of the moment. you hear the beginning "hey-ey, hey-ey" of one of your favorite songs from the era, and your eyes widen as you prep yourself to give a once-in-a-lifetime performance of bridgit mendler's iconic cover song. while conner's confused, he doesn't push it as he knows you're just starting to get into it.

you hear rachel begin to laugh as the "oh"s come in, and you turn with your head tilted to see conner looking at you and your phone with shock and confusion, maybe slight offense, but overall amusement. that face alone makes you realize you just sang about being someone's kryptonite

in front of the resident kryptonian, mr superboy himself

"well it looks like bridgit mendler's probably a fan then. maybe she'll take a break from her studies and give a private concert," you shrug and continue to sing and dance along as rachel continues laughing at the coincidence

conner just continues to wonder why bridgit mendler would really want to be something so dangerous and weakening to her crush she's singing about. especially since you make him feel so safe and even stronger.

Brief Description: You're tired and your boyfriend's making sure you're getting to sleep.

Point of View: 2nd Person

It was movie night, like every Friday night, and you and your boyfriend had just sat down to pick something to watch.

As your boyfriend was scrolling through your movie options, out of the corner of his eyes he saw you yawn. He smiles like a lovesick fool at how cute you look when tired.

Turning to you, he chuckles quietly asking, "Tired, baby?"

"Extremely," you reply in a soft voice, leaning against his side.

He throws an arm over your shoulders, pulling you onto his lap. You shift slightly, trying to find a comfortable position before you lean your head against his chest.

"What time did you go to bed last night?" he asks you softly, brushing your hair out of your eyes.

You shrug, answering, "I don't know."

He rolls his eyes affectionately at you, pressing his lips to your temple, which only causes you to melt into his embrace more.

"What was the last time you saw on the clock?" your boyfriend rephrases his question.

Your eyebrows furrow together in thought, your boyfriend's heart melts just a little bit more at the sight. God, you're gorgeous.

He never thought he could fall in love before, let alone this in love. Every little thing you've done and will continue to do since he met you has only made his heart beat stronger for you.

"One twenty ... something," you respond.

Your boyfriend's arms tighten around you, holding you closer as he asks in worry, "You went to bed that late?"

With a small giggle, you reply, "I went to bed like two hours after that."

He makes a sound between a sigh and a laugh, bringing you closer to his chest as he presses a series of kisses to your face.

"Baby, you need to sleep more," he gently scolds you, smiling down at you with that same lovesick smile.

"I know," you whisper back, nuzzling your face into his chest.

Getting a sudden idea, your boyfriend twists around on the couch, laying down across it as he settles you onto his chest.

"How about we play the movie as background noise so you can sleep?" he suggests, running his hand through your hair as you snuggle deeper into his chest.

"Sounds good," you mumble, yawning once more.

He kisses the top of your head, clicking on your favourite movie as his arms encircle your waist, keeping you close.

"I love you," he mutters, nuzzling his face into your hair, smiling at the smell of your shampoo.

God, he was whipped.

"I love you too, sweetheart," you mumble back, closing your eyes as the feeling of your boyfriend's finger running through her hair and the warmth of his embrace lulls you to sleep.

Superman x witch fem black reader x Superboy! Our future? Part 1!

You come back from a mission only to meet a boy who claims to be your son?!

After your mission with Flash which was an epic win! After going back in time to help stop an ancient Egyptian pharaoh from destroying world you just wanted to turn in your report go home and watch TV and rest but life had another plan for you today!

"When you use that spell on that other guy and had him hallucinating that he was fighting in his underwear was absolutely hilarious Y/H/N! (Your Hero Name)

"Right? Like he didn't see that coming! I do feel bad for the poor guy tho." We entered the Batcave as we got closer we could hear three people talking I saw Batman and Superman an unfamiliar face. It was a boy well more like a teenager he had blue jeans, black combat boots with a black shirt when he turned around I can see the Superman symbol and for some reason you had this pull towards him and he looked strangely familiar?

"Hey guy's! We're back it took a while you know with the whole space-time thing but we're fine, we made it got the job done so uh who's the new guy new face looks pretty young to join the Justice League don't you think?" Flash says. Superman looked at me I gave him a small wave to say hello but he just gave an awkward smile looking pass you. It was weird he usually doesn't do that, something must have happened you turned your attention back to the teenager who was looking at you with his eyes glossing over like he was close to crying?

"Since when do we allow fans into the batcave?" I asked hands on my hips I had got a good look at his face better and to your surprise he looked kind of like Clark? Before you could say anything the boy ran towards you with such speed nearly knocked you over he pulled you into a big bear hug almost like he was too scared to let you go everyone just stood watching the scene Bruce stood with a blank face, Superman stood there with an uneasy look while Flash was just as confused as you were with what was going on.

"Your here! I made it just in time!" The boy says into your shoulder you honestly didn't know what the heck was going on but something in you felt a connection to this unknown boy. You hug him back rubbing his back he pulled back flustered.

"Uh hi?" I say with a confused smile.

"H-hi! I mean I'm sorry for uh hugging you I just got really excited!" The boy said with a nervous smile geez even his smile is like Clark's!

"That's fine hon just uh be careful next time you wanna hug someone. You nearly knocked me off my feet!" You say hitting his shoulder. He smiled but was still flustered, you got a better look he was definitely a spitting image of Clark but only a tad bit kid had some muscle on him that's for sure but what really caught your attention was his eye's they were Y/E/C (your eye color)you put a hand on his cheek making him flinch a bit from your warm touch.

"That's funny your eyes..." Before you could finish Flash cut you off sliding over next to you and the kid.

"Can someone explain what and who this boy is please?" Flash says looking the kid up and down, Batman looked towards Superman who looked back shaking his head Batman looked towards the boy who looked back nodding than turned at you nervous.

"Um so first I'm really happy to meet you and second please don't freak out when I tell you this but I'm Kon-el."

"Oh so you are Kryptonian! Another cousin you failed to tell us about Superman?" I asked jokingly but he just looked at you awkwardly with a tiny blush, okay what the heck is wrong with him? You just turned your attention back to the young man.

"Well it's very nice to meet you Kon-el the minute I saw you I knew you were somehow related to Superman. You are just as handsome as the man of steel himself!" You say with a smile he blushed at your words while Superman also looked flustered by you calling him handsome.

"Thanks...mom."

I froze the smile on my face slowly dropping I heard Flash gasped while Bruce and Clark stared at your face waiting for reaction the boy looked at you with a bit of concern but the only thing you could do was just stand in shock looking between the boy and Superman who was still waiting for your reaction but you let out a simple small confused "Huh?" before everything went black.

Clark's POV

Before anyone else could react Y/n eyes rolled in the back of her head luckily I had caught her in time. Conner I mean Superboy started to panic kneeling to the ground along side me.

"I-i'm sorry it just slipped out!" I just gave him a small understandable look.

"It's fine Superboy she's okay just in shock."

Not that you blame her I nearly had the same reaction I was in metropolis when Bruce had gave me the call saying that it was urgent I rushed over only to find Batman holding a teenage boy at gun point (it was a kryptonite gun) at first I was confused and concerned until Batman told me that the boy claimed to be mine and Y/H/N son which of course was hard to believe because I was in a relationship with Lois even though we've been having issues and Y/n had no interest in dating (at least that's what I was told by Diana) and we were only close friends nothing more nothing less. At least that's what I thought until the boy in front of me claimed to be our child and he needed the Justice League's help. Of course me and Bruce had doubts but I could see that he did resembled me a bit only he didn't have my blue eyes but had Y/E/C (your eye color) that's when the boy who called himself Superboy told Bruce to look in his back jean pocket and that there was a picture to prove it of course Batman did in to our surprise it was a picture of me and Y/n who was laying in a hospital bed, a beautiful but tired smile on her face and was holding a newborn baby, at the bottom of the photo it read "Welcome to the world our little miracle child Connor Kent" I had to hold on to something because I felt faint, Bruce held my shoulder trying to help me stand on my feet.

I had a son? the son of Superman and Y/H/N...we had a son?!

it just it sounded so...right??? I shouldn't be saying or thinking such things because I'm in a relationship with Lois but recently we've been having issues especially about how she feels about Y/n which just make this whole situation worse!

Just as Connor was trying to explain how he got here that was when Barry and Y/n entered the cave back from their mission, which brings us back to the present with me holding Y/h/n in my arms and Connor looking very concerned for his future mother.

"She did say she was tired after using so much magic and the shock of meeting Superboy I guess was too much for her body." Barry says arms crossed, I picked Y/n up bridal style then turn to looked at Bruce.

"I'll take care of this you call the other's." I say before walking out with Conner not far behind. Today has been tiring for everyone.

To be continued this and AU where Conner isn't a Clone between Lex and Clark but you and Superman's son idea I had while working 🤷‍♀️

um could I request Conner Kent with a male reader who is just like him. Reader is a clone of another hero made by Cadmus, but the reader is a year or two older. When Conner and their first meet is during his initial escape and him coming apart from the team, and them bonding over them being clones. What would their relationship be like.

Reader is a clone of Plastic Man, cuz I love him.

Heyo my Hatchlings, how has everyone been doing? I finally finished up my assignment and I’m finally back. Did you guys miss me?

As a clone of Plastic Man, you put a good amount of people on edge when you appeared. Seeing as Plastic Man is very much immortal and unbeatable in the long game, they feared if you were good or evil, as there wouldn’t really be any way to defeat you if you turned out to be bad.

Luckily for them, you turned out to be as good of a guy as a clone of Plastic Man could be. You weren’t completely black and white, and sure you stole sometimes, and had a habit out of causing problems for corrupt people in power, but who were they to blame you.

You lived with Patrick Obrian, since he’s the closest thing you have to a family, and he never even had the thought of rejecting you because of your clone status. If anybody knows what its like to be judged and struggling to exist, its him.

Patrick plays an active supportive role in your life, and he teaches you how to use your powers. You end up being very skilled at the shapeshifting part of your shared powers. Sure, you still stretched, grew or shrank in size, anything Plastic Man could do, but you enjoyed shapeshifting the most. You even got a hang on switching colors, something Patrick struggled with.

When Young Justice was cooked up, you were one of the first they placed on the team. Mainly because of how powerful you were, and since part of them wanted to keep an eye on you, just in case.

You never took anything too seriously, it just came with the territory of being a clone of Plastic Man. Live life and all that. You did get into some arguments with different members of the team when it comes to morals, but that’s to be expected of a team.

When the team finds and rescues Conner, you immediately feel a level of kinship with him. Your clone status isn’t known outside of the league, so the knowledge Conner was born with doesn’t let him know you are a clone too.

As everyone tries to figure out what to do with Conner, you just settle down beside him, your stretched limbs dragging closer to you until they’re the normal length, where you offer him a snack or something to drink.

“Youd think they’d be better at dealing with clones, huh?” you joke, chewing on your own snack as he just looks at you, still confused and on edge about everything.

At his questioning glance, you lift your goggles and wink at him, pointing a thumb at yourself as you almost proudly declare yourself a clone of the best member of the justice league, if you were to be asked anyways.

As the league tries to figure it all out, you sit with Conner and just talk his ear off, never letting him wallow to far and making it harder for him to overhear the negative things said about him. Only Patrick knew, but the League fearing that you’d turn evil still weighed on you, and you didn’t want Conner to deal with the same thing.

Its only after you’ve made him smile and laugh that you accept that you’ve done your duty. When its time to leave you give him a way to contact you, and give him another cheesy wink before pulling your goggles back on, telling him that you clones should stick together.

Over time you become one of the people Conner is closest too, especially when he isn’t as welcomes by the people around him as he had hoped. This angers you and by extension Patrick, but your father figure just rolls his eyes and says he isn’t surprised.

In the beginning Conner spends a lot of time with you and Patrick, but mainly you, since you are closer in age. To be someone to look up too, you even stop with your petty crime for a while, just so your bad reputation won’t rub off on Conner.

Seeing him mingle better with the team, you take a happy step back and let him build the relationships he craves. Because of your different opinions and looser morals, you never became much more than acquaintances with the team, but seeing your fellow clone happy is enough for you.

But even as Conner gets closer to the team, he still holds onto you, since you were the first person to show him casual kindness without any suspicion or wanting something in return. You also have a lot more life skill than he does, so going to you for advice is normal for him.

When the time comes, you were most likely the one to leave the young justice team first out of everyone. You just don’t fit into their dynamic, and you run best on your own or with your father figure. Its hard to be an immortal who would never get to experience true normal life on a team of people who could.

You don’t leave the league, but you become more of a contractor, someone they call in when they need the help. You keep beating up bad guys, but you also fall back on the familiar feeling of crime. You only steal from those that deserve it though, and use your shapeshifting to easily get away with it.

It becomes a bit of a running gag, as the league always sends the young justice team after you since you aren’t an actual lethal threat. It kinda becomes training for them, and since Meghan can’t ever find you through mind powers, they have to work hard to find you.

When Conner leaves the team you to go out for drinks. Who cares about your ages. Seeing your father figure, you could be thousands of years old and never age physically, so it didn’t matter to you.

If your relationship was romantic, this would most likely be where it developed further, since Conner would be less tied to the team, and he could spend more time with you.

If your relationship isn’t romantic, it would still develop from here, just become more brotherly. You always joke you’re the batman to his superman, always shapeshifting into batman when you do, much to Conners fake annoyance.

Honestly even if it became romantic, youd still transform into batman and make kissy faces at him, since superbat is probably a running gag in the league.

You guys go on dates, even if its platonic, just to spend time together, maybe travel the world a bit, or even travel space, since you could easily survive away from earth. Theres probably also some very deep conversations about existence and your worth, since being a clone and always being treated like one weigh heavy on anyone.

When it truly hits Conner how much you struggle with your own role as a clone, he’s a bit surprised. Hed never imagined you were just completely fine, but you had always seemed to let the comments and suspicion roll off your back.

All in all, you two have each other’s back, always. The bond you have is deep in the way only two people created the same place for the same purpose can have. So, no matter if its romantic or platonic, you two become a familiar sight on and off the battlefield.

Arthur's notes! Batmom is Clark's sister. Kon is the second clone of Bruce and Y/N. He is found when Tim is Robin and is 9 years old. Unlike his brother Conner(who is 19), he does continue aging physically.

With Bruce's back broken by Bane. Conner takes his, place as Batman temporarily. Little Kon runs off feeling afraid as he's completely out of control. Jason is naturally surprised when he shows up at his place.

Kon gazed intently with much dismay to his Dad as he laid in the bed. He was wearing a back brace from Bane bending his spine, breaking his back. He had a IV giving him antibiotics. He hears his Dad's heartbeat that was weak. The heart monitor was like a, loud speaker against his little ears.

He swallows hardly hearing Bruce's soft winces in pain. Kon couldn't stand it. Before his mother could look to his distraught face.. He speeded to his room.

Noticing their little brother was absent. Cass and Tim tried to comfort him. Once he wouldn't answer their pleas. They applied pressure to Kon's bedroom door but found that it was to no avail.

Kon had heard their footsteps and sat in front of his door so they wouldn't see, him quite this upset.

"Kon listen to me buddy. Bruce is gonna be OK" Tim promised him

Tim pushed at the door again and this time it opened however revealed Kon.. Was gone.

"shit" Tim cursed..

Kon could be anywhere. The whole family excluding their mom was notified, as they thought she was already worried enough. No one knew where he was. Conner unfortunately was a bit busy at the moment taking Batman's place.

Jason puts on his jacket and curses every word he knew. He opens the door abruptly and felt as if he was hit by a train. He takes a deep breath. There in front of his door Kon-El Wayne, nearly soaking wet from the rain pouring down...

"dammit kid are you trying to catch a cold!" Jason scolds with a deep worry in his voice he tried to conceal.

Jason let's Kon in and let's everyone know Kon's safe.....

Jason walks to his room grabbing a t-shirt and one of his black motorcycle jackets in his closet. He comes back to Kon who was strangely silent and very still...

"here put these on" Jason ordered tossing the clothes to his little brother.

Kon took off his wet shirt and put on Jason's shirt with his jacket. Both items of clothing nearly engulf him.

Jason opens his fridge. What would he like? Bread?.. Guess he's stuck cooking. Jason preheated the oven and gathered ingredients for cookies..

"you know how to bake?" Kon asked giggling

Jason quirked his eyebrow "do you want the food or not brat?"

"just kidding" he laughed "want some help?" he offered

"sure" Jason accepted

The two brother's made cookies together and once they were done. They enjoyed them, while sitting on the couch. Kon sighed softly to himself waiting for Jason to something.. Anything... But he said nothing.

"are you not going to ask me why I'm here?"

"no heard about Bruce figured you needed to take breather. As to why you chose my place of all wonderful places in Gotham.. I'm curious, otherwise you don't have to tell me anything"

Kon shrugged.. "I guess cause you're fun"

"you guess?" Jason laughs "damn am I that terrible?"

"no" Kon laughs "I've been here for a few hours.. I probably need to get back home"

Jason grabs his keys to his impala "it's still pouring down rain. I'll give you a ride home"

Kon couldn't deny that it was certainly not like Jason to go to the Manor without a real emergency. He certainly wasn't going to tell him no..

As they arrive at the Manor. Kon reaches for the handle to open the car door, but hesitated. He looks to his older brother with pleading eyes, begging him to come. Jason's expression remained blank.

"you're not coming inside. Are you?"

"nope. Tell.. Tell everyone I said hi" Jason told his little brother

Kon reaches up hugging Jason's neck. He was naturally surprised as Kon NEVER hugged him, at least certainly not moments like this. As he let's go he super-speeded inside the Manor. Jason smiled softly and reaches to turn the key, but felt nothing.

He scoffed with a wry smile "that little thieving brat"

Jason opens his car door intending to go inside, get his keys and get out in one swift motion. Hopefully undetected by his family of super-hearers and detectives.

Y/N lovingly touched Bruce's forehead rubbing it gently with her thumb. He tilts his head gently kissing the palm of her hand.

"Jason's home. He's OK" she softly said

Bruce only smiled softly. He could feel the bit of worry in her touch against his cheek. He wished speaking wasn't so painful. He wished he could hold her and promise her that he's OK.

Jason tried to walk slower past the recovery room of the Manor. He thinks he's made it as he made it past the door.

"Jason" she said

Jason sighed heavily turning around to look to his, mom "look Kon just showed up so I came to drop him off and the little brat stole my keys. So I'm just getting the back" he defends

"I see.. How are you doing?" she asked

Jason sighed "... I'm okay. How's B?"

"he's in a lot of pain but he'll be OK. Have you been sleeping any better?" she softly questioned

".. I have my nights.." he shrugged "I'm sorry Ma but I gotta go I'll try to be by tomorrow.. Maybe"

Before he took another step his mother embraced him. She feels his hesitant arms wrap around her. Y/N hears his heartbeat slowly calm down to a softer beat.

"I love you son" she smiled kissing his head

Jason let's go of her before he truly becomes emotional...

".. love you too Ma" he gently said

Jason went to the family room seeing Tim, Cass and Kon. All three were watching a movie together. Cass paused the movie smiling to her brother.

"hey Jay! Didn't expect you to hang around. Want to watch the movie with us?" Tim offered in a inviting tone

"nah I came to collect something of MINE" Jason said looking at his little brother

"I don't know anything about it!" Kon playfully defends folding his little arms and looking away

"keys twerp!" Jason said with a open hand.

"here" Kon scoffed tossing Jason his keys that he easily caught "oh your jacket!" Kon motions to take the clothing off. "and your shirt" he then chuckled.

"keep 'em. It'll make up for me missing your birthday last month" Jason smiled to him ruffling his hair

"thanks Jason" Kon grinned giving him a genuine hug.

Sacrifice - Conner Kent

Conner Kent X GN!Reader

Summary: You and Conner don't really like each other. But when you make a sacrifice to save Conner, you both realise your true feelings.

Word Count: 1,580

You and Conner never really liked each other. It's like ever since he joined the team, you just hated him for no apparent reason. You didn't know why and neither did he. Maybe it's because you felt a certain type of attraction to him? No. That can't be it. Don't be ridiculous.

The tension between you and Conner was palpable. Anyone could see it. But despite the clashes and disagreements, there were moments when you caught each other's eyes, stealing glances across the room. In those moments, there was something unspoken, a subtle shift in the air. It was as if beneath the layers of animosity, a flicker of curiosity lingered.

One day, during a particularly intense mission, you and the team find yourselves facing an unexpected threat. Mother May has used her magic to stun everyone including Conner, except for you, which meant it was just you and her. Bad news for you, you don't have any magical powers, so what now? How are you meant to fight a witch with just your combat skills? That doesn't seem like it's going to work out great for you.

Feeling the weight of the situation, panic sets in as you assess the limited options. Your heart pounds in your chest and your palms start sweating. Mother May advances towards you with a wicked grin, revelling in her advantage. Without hesitation, you throw yourself between Mother May and Conner, shielding him from any possible danger.

She starts to speak but you interrupt Mother May, steeling yourself for whatever consequences may follow. "If you want to get to any of them, you'll have to go through me first," you declare, surprising even yourself with the conviction in your voice.

The empty road becomes charged with tension as Mother May assesses the situation. Conner, still under the effects of her magic, watches the unfolding scene with a mixture of confusion and concern. Despite your 'dislike' for him, you were still protecting him. Why?

Mother May smirks, confident in her powers. "You can't protect them forever, and trust me, your death won't change anything," she taunts.

Not letting her see the fear that is currently coursing through your veins, you respond, "Maybe I can't change anything, but I can't just stand by and let them get hurt either. At least I'll die knowing I did my best to protect my team."

Conner's gaze shifts from Mother May to you, a mix of surprise and realization crossing his face. He doesn't want you to die, especially not like this. But he can't do anything. Her powers have him and everyone stunned, stuck in place.

"You're brave, I'll give you that. It's a shame this is the way you have to go down," she scoffs, raising her hand to unleash a magical assault. As the energy builds, you brace yourself, fully aware that this might be the end. Yet, strangely, you feel a sense of peace knowing you're protecting the team, even Conner.

Just as Mother May releases the magical force, a sudden burst of red streaks across the scene. The force of her magic sends you flying backwards, directly into a wall. A sickening crack echoes through the air as your back collides with the wall.

Everything goes black. Surely, you should be able to feel something. Some sort of pain. You've most likely just broken something from the force of the hit but you can't feel a thing. You can't see anything either, nor can you hear anything. No fucking way. Is this it? Did the bitch really just kill you? That easily as well? What about the rest of the team?

Everyone winces at the sound of your back making contact with the wall. They know what's probably just happened but none of them want to believe it. You can't be dead.

As the darkness envelops you, one distant voice echoes in your mind - Conner's voice. "No, this can't be happening," he mutters, breaking free from Mother May's spell, his eyes widening in horror at the sight of you crumpled against the wall.

Before anyone can attack Mother May, she vanishes into thin air. Now you're dead and your murderer is nowhere to be seen.

The team, released from the magical hold, rushes to your side. Conner, fueled by a surge of emotions he didn't quite understand, kneels beside you. "Hey, come on, wake up," he pleads, his usually stoic demeanour towards you now replaced by genuine concern.

His voice slowly fades away as your hearing once again disappears. This time, it doesn't come back. This is really it. You're gone.

People say that when you die, you get to rewatch your entire life from birth to death. But for you, it's just pitch black, a neverending darkness. You didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone. You didn't get to tell Gar about how much you actually love hearing his stupid jokes. You didn't get to tell Kory about how much of an impact she's made on you and the rest of the team. You didn't get to tell Conner about how you don't actually hate him. You didn't get to tell him about how you used that hate as a disguise for your true feelings. You've realised you love him but it's too late now. You're dead.

Conner, kneeling beside your lifeless body, is overwhelmed by a mix of grief and guilt. The team gathers around, grappling with the reality of losing one of their own. Conner finds himself unable to comprehend the weight of your sacrifice.

Amid the chaos, he reaches out, gently brushing a strand of hair from your face, a gesture that feels more tender than he ever expected. "I didn't... I didn't get to tell her how much I loved her," he stammers, his voice betraying a vulnerability you'd never witnessed before. He finally admitted the truth and you aren't even here to hear it.

In the following days, guilt gnaws at Conner. He feels somehow responsible for your death. Maybe if he'd been stronger, faster, he could've saved you. But he didn't and that kills him inside.

One night, Conner stands alone on the rooftop, staring at the city below. The realization hits him hard - he never got to express his true feelings to you. The words he kept buried, hidden behind a façade of dislike, start to haunt him slightly.

"I wish I could've told you," Conner whispers to the night sky, a silent confession to the empty air.

"Told me what?" you ask, your voice startling Conner. He turns around and his eyes widen in shock.

He stammers, "Y/N? But.. you're dead. How? Is my mind just playing tricks on me?"

"No. I'm very much alive. Trust me, I don't get it either. I died, or at least I was sure I had. Something somehow brought me back. But I don't know what," you say, standing there with a mixture of confusion and relief. You're glad to be back but you still shouldn't be here. How was this possible?

He takes a step closer, his eyes searching your face for any sign of deception. "If this is some kind of sick prank, it's not funny."

You take a step closer to him, closing the distance between you guys. Wrapping your arms around his neck in a hug, you respond, "Is this enough to prove I'm really here?"

Conner, caught off guard, hesitates for a moment before returning the hug, wrapping his strong arms tightly around your waist. As he holds you, a mixture of relief and confusion also washes over him.

"I thought I lost you," Conner admits, his voice a blend of vulnerability and sincerity. The realization that you're standing in front of him, alive and well, hits him and he hugs you the slightest bit tighter.

Conner, still processing the whirlwind of emotions, starts to speak again. "I never got the chance to tell you something," he pauses but continues, "Y/N, I never hated you. I just pretended I did because I thought that it was easier than admitting my feelings for you. But I realise now that it was a really stupid choice. I should've just been straight up with you. You dying made me realise how much I regretted not telling you. So now, I'm telling you because I'm too scared that something like this might happen again in the future and I can't go through this again. The regret and the guilt are too much. Even for me."

You pull away slightly, looking into his eyes. A small blush forms on your face as you realise he reciprocates your feelings. The corners of your lips curve upwards as you respond, "When I died, Conner, I regretted not telling you that I loved you so much. So, I'm going to tell you the truth now. Conner, I'm in love with you and I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I guess it took me literally dying to realise how I actually felt."

Conner flashes you a smile, a smile of relief and happiness. He opens his mouth to speak, but before he can even get a word out, you cut him off, your lips crashing against his own in a kiss full of passion and emotion.

His hand reaches up to cup your cheek as you slowly pull away. The warmth of his touch reassures you that this moment is real. "God, I love you so much, Y/N."
