I hope your not the first in line
You don’t want to go to the ER in general. You don’t want to be here. But somehow you ended up here. There are a bunch of people in the waiting room. All waiting for help. I’m just the one sitting off to the side. An elderly lady checks in and sits in the waiting room chair. And within five minutes she’s taken back. And sadly I know a lot abii ok it that. I almost feel guilty that I’m so glad…

(( It is day 4 (5?) of still being catatonic due to fibromyalgia problems and having absolutely no energy to do anything, I still have barely payed attention to what’s happening here because even that feels extremely overwhelming and I feel so bad for being so absent but my brain and body are actively sabotaging me and I’m not sure how to fix it!!
Tomorrow I’m really gonna try to at least be present here, maybe get out a reply and/or headcanon if we’re feeling okay enough?? No promises but I’m gonna try my best. ))

three facts:
1) good omens s2 drops at 2 am tonight in my time zone.
2) according to neil gaiman, the whole season is about 5 hours long.
3) i have zero obligations tomorrow (livin' that chronic illness lifestyle).
someone please tell me that staying up until 7am to watch the whole thing all at once is a very bad idea.

Having adhd while being chronically ill is interesting sometimes to say the least
I'm laying here in bad stomach pain from eating pizza that's typically safe, meanwhile my heads just playing "livin' in the sunlight, lovin' in the moonlight" (by tiny tim) on repeat from fucking spongebob

Somebody once asked me how important music was to me. I answered that I *needed* music - without it, I would die. Being someone who worked in healthcare, they took it far more gravely than I intended it to be! Strange, then, that since that conversation I have come to realise the truth of my words. Music literally does keep me alive. But mostly music with other people. Composing and playing I can do alone, and it helps, but directing choirs and teaching kids both give me that essential mental boost of endorphins that nothing else seems to in quite the same way. When I have a break from these things, I go downhill mentally at rather an alarming speed. Music helps me forget about the bad stuff long enough to actually want to stay alive.

It gets worse but you handle it better.
Life is weird and I’m ok with that. I think so anyway…. I have a habit of not wanting to say things are bad. It’s a good habit to have but not always a helpful one. It’s not like I deny that things are happening it’s that I don’t want to bother people with things. I think sometimes I’m doing great! I’m stable and then my body decides that it doesn’t like that and I trip and fall and leave a…

Yesterday was my birthday and I have a lot of thoughts about that
On Saturday I had the incredible opportunity to see Hamilton on Broadway and it gave me a lot of feelings. The first act in particular, but let’s start with My Shot. Damn, it fanned a spark into a flame in me and I felt everything. Now, I’ve listen to the Hamilton soundtrack more times than I can count. Every lyric of every song is memorized so deep within my bones. However there was something about seeing the show that made me relive the experience of hearing the lyrics for the very first time.
“I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory When’s it gonna get me? In my sleep, seven feet ahead of me? If I see it comin’, do I run or do I let it be? Is it like a beat without a melody? See, I never thought I’d live past twenty Where I come from some get half as many Ask anybody why we livin’ fast and we laugh, reach for a flask We have to make this moment last, that’s plenty”
I live with a chronic illness and that’s nothing new. While I am generally healthy I’ve had brushes with death, I’ve had death take people from me. My panic attacks manifest as the idea of life and death and time - No matter what’s *really* going on that’s causing my anxiety, the physical manifestation of my panic attacks come about as the fear of time, of death, of what comes next, if you will.
Tumblr media
It’s the line in Hamilton that probably resonates with me most:
I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory When’s it gonna get me? In my sleep, seven feet ahead of me?.... Is it like a beat without a melody?
Lin-Manuel, get out of my head!
See I never thought I’d live past twenty Kids like me, they get half as many (rewrite lol)
It reminded me I’m not, nor have I ever been, the only one who’s mind won’t shut off. I’m not the only one who thinks about this existential stuff on the regular. And instead of being afraid of it, I need to make the most of my time here. I need to write, I need to live, I need to try.. like tomorrow won’t arrive, like I need it to survive, every second I’m alive.
Twenty-Five. I turned Twenty-Five yesterday. Twenty-Four was terrible. The ground beneath me was so rocky and unsettled, I could barely feel it. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another. When one challenge was out of the way, the next one was right behind it, ready to teach me something new. Be the end of that year I was exhausted, depressed, and angry. This year I am ready to move on. I am ready to be happy, finally. I’m ready to rediscover who I was. Not sad and cynical, but optimistic and in love with glitter.
For my birthday I went to the Kate Spade store for my very first KS bag. As I walked around the shiny, clean, pink, classy store, I fell in love with everything I saw. Every kitten heel and flat, every bag, coat, earring. Every cute little quote. It reminded me who I want to be. A force to be reckoned with. A sparkly, happy, hard working woman who radiates light and joy. I used to be her and I will be again. Time to make a vision board.
Tumblr media
It’s been a weekend of celebrations, a weekend of enlightenment, joy, love and champagne.
Here’s to a year of more joy and champagne.

The problem with most holistic wellness coaches is that they only focus on the physical aspect of health. They don't address the spiritual aspect, which can be just as important for your overall wellbeing. Our health care system is broken. Doctors are focused on prescribing medication to treat symptoms, not the underlying cause. Americans spend more money per person for healthcare than any other country in the world, yet we have higher rates of obesity and chronic illness than most developed countries. How can this be? The problem is that our doctors aren't trained to identify or address root causes of disease, they're trained to prescribe drugs that treat symptoms. This approach leaves patients with a cocktail of medications that often have dangerous side effects and don't work long term anyway! With LIVIN HealThee you get a holistic wellness coach who will walk alongside you every step of the way; helping you transform your life through diet (food), exercise (movement), and spiritually rooted disease prevention (God's way). We help clients eliminate unhealthy habits while also preventing future problems by addressing their spiritual needs as well." All of our services are rooted in "Whole Health", the whole person and the whole picture of health based on the root, not the symptoms an individual may be experiencing. Our alternative solutions (not just wellness) are based Eastern medicine (diet, exercise) combined with Spiritual Roots (the way you think, speak and act opposed to how God thinks speaks and acts.) That is what LIVIN HealThee... because it's about living WHOLE!!!
