Ding! The elevator finally chimed, indicating your arrival at your new employer. 'Finally!' You thought to yourself, arms crowded with your personal belongings, readily available to decorate your new desk. You were the only person who applied for the boring office job as a receptionist. It was average pay, at a failing company so you figured, it would be okay just for a while. Much to your dismay, as the elevator doors slid open, it revealed the cheap cafe a couple floors below the office. A young man stood outside of the double doors. Tall, dirty blonde, glasses, and absolutely beautiful. If your arms weren't shaking earlier, they definitely were now, along with your knees.

He shyly scooted into the elevator, as if it was full, leaving about an inch or two of space between the both of you. The elevator ride was near silent. Small shuffles and the faint drumming of whatever song was blaring in his headphones was the only white noise to accompany the deafening silence. You peered over at him a couple times through your peripherals, and at some point, you swore you saw him take a glance at you too.

The elevator was coming to a stop, the poor old thing jerked as it completed its job, causing you to stumble out of your carefully modified stance to accommodate the weight in your arms, and drop several nicknacks and papers. How embarrassing. Thankfully, the blonde boy dropped to his knee to retrieve your items, as you profusely apologized for causing a mess. The elevator doors pry open with a screech revealing the carpeted floors and yellow tinted cream walls of the office space. He picks up one last decoration from your collection and holds it up in front of his blue eyes, inspecting with a slight smirk.

"You like Star Wars?" He cocked his eyebrow, meeting your eyes, as the both of you step out of the elevator before it closes. The office was lit with a white light, flickering ever so slightly overhead. Fake potted plants stood at entrances. Desk cluttered on top and around each nook and cranny.

"Um," You hesitate. Was it stupid to be into that kind of thing nowadays? "Yeah. It's one of my favorites." you say hurriedly. He dangles the Yoda charm a moment longer before placing it in an empty coffee mug you were holding onto for dear life with your pinky.

"Me too." He flashes a quick smile and asks if you need help, which you decline. He carries on, walking to a door near the backside of the space. You set your stuff down with a thud on your new desk. A bigger than usual semi-circle, right near the entrance, with accompanying desk to the right of it. You pull out your pens, highlighters, notepads, stickers, everything you brought to personalize your space. Taking your time, even color coding the order of your pens, you wait. What was there to do? What was your task. The phone rang. You look around in a panic, what do you say? Almost as if heaven had sent an angel your way, the blonde guy from earlier returns with a mug in hand. A Star Wars logo branded the front of it. Cute.

He sees your distress and you nod towards him. He makes his way over to you, leaning over your shoulder to grab the telephone. "Hello. Thank you for calling Star Stationary Company, my name is Anakin. How can I help you today?"

Notes ` OMG OMG OMG OMG YOU GUYS HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM FOR THIS, but anyway I know this is super short but there's just so much in my brain rn, actual brain rot its crazy. some slight dressrosa middle-of-the-arc spoilers

i couldn't help but notice how the way luffy first started noticing that dressrosa wasn't all nice and pretty when he was down in the cells with the gladiators in the arena, (chapter 726)

and hearing how they described the place reminded him of the grey terminal (near his windmill village), where he, ace and sabo met and grew up.

the way the gladiators and people who doflamingo doesn't like, and the toys are treated and discarded in dressrosa, is very similar like luffy remembers what was happening outside the walls of the kingdom of goa,

(chapters 583, 585)

and then few chapters later in dressrosa,

sabo (at this point he wasn't introduced as sabo, only someone who took luffy lucy's place in the arena fighting for the flame flame fruit) was thinking something very similar about the place he grew up in - the goa kingdom, except he's talking about putting on appearances because he didn't want to be part of the aristocratic class seeing what they did to the other people outside the walls. but it was still the place where he met ace, and later luffy.

(also i really love sabo re-introduced this way seeing he had that pipeline as his weapon - where in the post marineford luffy's flashbacks, as a kid it was all of theirs fighting sticks, ace and sabo's especially - chapter 583, and even when he was leaving - ch 588) and he still has it on himself now! it's just a nice touch to realize in the manga that it wasn't luffy anymore, but someone else.

and now he's back to get that last piece that they have of Ace, his flame flame fruit ;-; (ch 744) (and being all proud of his little kid brother luffy who's gonna be the pirate king! ;-;)

the way both luffy and sabo got to the arena to get the ace's fruit power, and keep thinking of their childhood, of ace, of something that remind them of their home in the childhood, and for luffy to see sabo meant that he still had one of his brothers!

(and small zolu sidenote, bc it was nice that zoro was the one running beside luffy seeing him crying about sabo and worrying. im not sure luffy explained who he was, yet, at this scene, but zoro definitely understood that someone important showed up back in luffy's life!)

The soft sunlight filtered through the leaves of the surrounding trees, creating a dance of shadows on the ground. It was the perfect setting for a slow and relaxing day. Y/n sat on the porch of the mist estate, a gentle breeze brushed against her skin, carrying the scent of blooming flowers from the garden.

Y/n let out a contented sigh, feeling the tension of her usual responsibilities slowly melt away. Today, she wasn't burdened by any pressing tasks or urgent matters to attend to. Instead, she could simply be in the moment, savoring the peacefulness and tranquility that enveloped her.

Just then she heard the familiar caw of Ginko, Muichiro's crow. Turning towards the direction of the sound, she anticipated seeing the mist pillar, but what she saw left her utterly surprised. There stood Muichiro, his familiar figure now sporting a significant change. The once long, flowing black-to-mint hair that she had come to recognize so well was now cut short, reaching his shoulders. Her astonishment was evident on her face as she tried to process the unexpected sight before her.

Her initial smile faltered, and her mouth hung slightly open in disbelief. For a moment, she couldn't find the right words, her mind trying to catch up with the unexpected sight before her. She blinked rapidly, as if hoping that her eyes were playing tricks on her, but the reality of the situation remained unchanged.

Finally finding her voice, Y/n managed to speak, "Muichiro, your hair... Did you cut it??”

"Mhm, I had to cut it while I was fighting a demon," he explained. Y/n continued blinking, trying to get accustomed to his new look. After all, it had always been his signature look.

"Do... Do you not like it?" His question was tinged with genuine concern as he looked up at Y/n, trying to gauge her reaction, he couldn't help but feel a little anxious about her response.

Y/n quickly shook her head, snapping out of her momentary trance. "No, no, it's not that," she reassured him, a hint of embarrassment in her voice. "It's just... I'm not used to it yet. But that doesn't mean I don't like it. You still look great, Muichiro."

Her words seemed to bring a sense of relief to him, and he nodded with a small smile on his lips. "I'm glad to hear that," he added, his voice hinting a bit of disappointment, "though, you can't brush it anymore like before."

"It's okay," Y/n replied reassuringly, "I can still comb your hair even with that length." She reached out and gently ran her fingers through his shorter hair.

"I do have to admit," Muichiro said, "that it feels a lot lighter without all that long hair. It's a bit freeing."

"I can imagine," Y/n replied, softly chuckling.

"Do you think I should grow my hair out again, or should I keep it at this length?" Muichiro inquired, gazing at Y/n as she gently combed through his hair, her touch bringing a sense of comfort and relaxation.

"It's up to you, Muichiro," Y/n replied softly, her fingers continuing to comb through his hair. "Both styles suit you. If you liked having longer hair before, you could let it grow again. But if you find this length more manageable or comfortable, then keeping it like this is perfectly fine."

He considered her words, closing his eyes briefly to savor the feeling of her touch. "I'll think about it," he said, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Very long post ahead:

(First of all, appreciation for Iñaki's awesome acting, knowing exactly how to look intense, eerie and God-like through the whole Live Action. And look how the hat makes a perfect Halo or Sun around his head...)

This will probably be a little over the place, but bare with my silly brain.

At first this scene can just look like he reinforcing his own dream and regaining confidence after all the doubt Buggy has tried to inflict on him, and it probably also is that! But with the intense expression, the music and the wording... I think it's also a message to readers that are up to date.

Nowadays we know that the Gum-Gum is just a name used to hide the real name of Luffy's fruit: the Mythical Zoan Human-Human Model: Nika (Sun God)

The World Government has since its origins (after the Void Century, 800 years ago) tried to control this Fruit, and Vegapunk states that there's no mention to this "Gum-Gum" Fruit anywhere previous to that, so this new name is just a way of the Government to hide the importance of the Fruit and make it as unappealing as possible.

Who would want to be rubber, anyway? Anyone who hears about it thinks it's a silly power and wouldn't want to eat it.

But here's the thing: it doesn't matter that the new Devil Fruit Guides or Encyclopedias have no information about a Fruit.

If we go way back to Enies Lobby, we get to see this explanation by Lucci (another Zoan fruit user): you learn the name of the Fruit when you gain its power.

Lucci specifically states that the Fruit itself will reveal its powers and name to you once you've eaten it and gained its power. Luffy gained his power long time ago, when he was a child, and his goal started changing as soon as manifested his powers.

He went from: "Take me with you on your next Voyage!!"

(Chapter 1, Romance Dawn Arc) To: "I've decided to become a Pirate on my own!" after eating the Fruit.

At first he was just content with being a Pirate in a crew, but suddenly he has a definitive goal: being the King of the Pirates (to achieve something else).

In the first chapter it is also shown how his personality changes:

Luffy was a very sad and angry 7 year old, who wanted to desperately escape from his horrible life (loneliness and abusive Grandpa). He only smiled when people were nice to him, or when he was listening to pirate stories.

It is not until after he eats the Devil Fruit that he starts to smile and laugh on his own, looking at the bright side of things even if he gets teased.

It seems clear that the fruit changed something in him that was way more than just his body, but in the manga one doesn't think much of it until you read the Five Elder's description of his fruit (ch 1044) and remember Lucci's explanation (ch 385).

If the Fruit communicated its real name and abilities to him, he should know exactly who and what he is.

One could argue that he specifically states he is not a Zoan in Punk Hazard while talking to Momo:

But maybe he doesn't consider his fruit as a Zoan, as he doesn't really turn into an animal. (Zoan comes from the Ancient Greek and means "animal" or "beast"). Luffy's Fruit enters the same category as Sengoku's: a Human-Human Fruit.

Gear 5 is Luffy's awakened form, one that he couldn't use before because his body and mind were not ready to catch up to his powers. But that doesn't mean he didn't know about it's existence.

In this form, Luffy manipulates his surroundings giving everything he touches the properties of rubber, just like the awakening of Don Flamingo. But is it just that?

I believe we have been seeing him manipulate reality since the very beginning of the series, inadvertently thinking it was just typical main character things. Yes, everything usually goes how he says in the end, just typical in a MC... But is it? Or is it an intelligent way of covering his real powers behind the typical shonen clichés?

There's so many instances where Luffy and his powers feed directly from people's hopes and prayers (just to name a few: Skypea, Enies Lobby, Thriller Bark, FishMan Island, Dressrosa, Wano...), and all he asks is for people to have faith in him.

When people have faith in him, reality changes in his favour.

(Even with Ace's Execution, the one instance where Luffy failed... he actually achieved what he said he would: to free Ace from the Marines. Ace was killed not because Luffy couldn't save him, but because he stopped running away.)

Going back to OPLA: this is Oda's opportunity to explain things in a different way and medium, to hint to things that are very far away (like how they showed that Garp is Luffy's grandpa so soon in the series, because it made it more interesting sooner).

Then we have the scene were Luffy wishes for Zoro to be by his side, and to wake up.

I can't stop thinking about how... intense this scene is. How they wrap it with eerie music, so you know something special is happening.

We are in front of a Miracle.

(One Piece Live Action, Episode 6: The Chef and the Chore boy)

Luffy closes his eyes, concentrates and makes a wish. Or not even a wish, he just states that he needs Zoro (to fulfill his dreams).

Luffy manipulates reality a bit, even in this early stage of his power (Gear 1) and, seeing how he phrases everything he wants, he seems to know it. (for example, the way he always says "I will" instead of "I want to")

In OPLA it seems clear that Zoro was not going to wake up from Mihawk's attack, no matter how strong and resistant he is. Even if Mihawk said it wasn't his time to die... He would probably not make it without external help.

Luffy doesn't really know what to say, for a while. He is shocked and shaken in his beliefs, as he thought believing in Zoro would already make him the greatest... but instead his friend got badly hurt. With that and everything that's been said around him, he is losing faith in himself.

But eventually he understands that he needs to express how much he needs Zoro out loud. Why would that be, if he wasn't conscious that his needs and desires get usually fulfilled, even more if they serve his goal?

He concentrates and says "I need you, Zoro", and nothing changes. Why? Well, Zoro is there. His body is there and he is alive, even if just barely. It's not like he has really gone anywhere. Then Luffy, seeing that it didn't work, reformulates his way of saying what he needs: "I need you to wake up".

And then the Miracle happens: Zoro starts really recovering and immediately wakes up. He then makes the vow of never leaving Luffy's side until they reach his objective, fulfilling his needs.

This is not Zoro being awake and just teasing him, or him just waking up to the voice of his Captain. No.

This is a Miracle. This is Luffy consciously using his God-like powers and his destiny to get Zoro back from the dead.

And that's why Zoro can never die. Even in Wano we get a look at that:

He was supposed to die, but Death couldn't finish the job. Something is protecting Zoro from Death, and it's probably how Luffy has tied Zoro to his own destiny.
