The hand with your key had shaken trying to unlock the door to your apartment.
It might've been the nerve, or the drink, or the fact that Kobeni had stuffed her face into the crook of your neck, breathing hard and fast, her hands pawing at the back of your suit jacket, squirming like a kitten.
Regardless, they're not shaking now.
The moment the both of you stumble through the cramped parlour and kitchenette to the bedroom, dimly lit with orange string-lights and a salt lamp petulantly aglow in the corner, Kobeni is on you with a vigour you see from her once in a blue moon and always on the field. She's slightly... damp, from sweat or rain or drool or just whatever keeps her perpetually sustained in a state of unspooling anxiety, but her strong fingers have a grip on your blazer, tugging it off like it had offended her.
"S-slow—" you manage to gasp out before she reaches up to kiss you again, fast and needy, parting her lips to lick into your mouth and you groan. "Beni," you pant between breaks for air. "Ben, Beni—"
She whines when you grip her narrow shoulders and push her down, bracketing her fast with your strength. When she peers up at you, your brain flatlines a little; her usual flouncy ponytail has unravelled, leaving two scarlet clips adrift in a wave of messy brunette hair, and it frames a face scarlet with blush from cheekbone to jawline. Her lips are red, full as candy apples, wet with spit, her dark brows knitted up, her dark eyes big and deep and starving.
She makes a needy noise, tries to lean in to kiss you again, but you manage to force her back down.
"Just—just lemme breathe a minute, babe," you pant out. Kobeni goes painfully redder and nods. "Alright. Okay. Look, we've both had a little to drink. Are you sure—"
"Yes," she blurts out, before you've even finished the question. "Th—I mean—that's the only reason I f-feel brave enough to..." Her voice wilts a little, but you can suddenly feel your pulse in your skull.
"Kobeni," you say, lowly. "I... overheard you talking with Himeno a week back. I know you... you haven't done this before. I just want to make sure you want—I mean, that you know what you want. With me, of all people."
Kobeni's eyes fill with tears. "I—I only want you," she hiccups. "I m-mean... God, this is so embarrassing, but I—ever since I got assigned to you, and working under you, I mean, oh, I'm messing this up but I j-just..."
"Breathe, dove," you murmur, and—trusting her to stop jumping you like she's springlocked—move your hands to cup her face. She burns beneath your touch, eyes pools of ink staring urgently up at you. "You're not messing anything up, 'kay? I just need to make sure here. I'm not some kinda scummy boss. I—I care about you. That's half the fuckin' problem, I mean—fuck. I don't want you to regret this. That's all. Okay?"
Kobeni sniffles. "I won't. I've always... it's all I've b-been thinking about. I—every night. And tonight, going out, I thought I was being annoying, clinging to you like I did b-but now we're here and—and I'm so close, please don't send me away." She hiccups pathetically. "I, mm. I love you. I love you."
Something presses down on your chest like a weight, compressing your heart into your ribcage. And you love her too, you love her too, so you lean forwards and kiss the tear tracks on her face whilst she huffs and squirms, craning her neck; her wet lips brush yours once, twice before she makes a whiny noise of desperation and you finally bring her in.
She's jittery, switching between being too enthusiastic and freezing up—presumably because she has no idea what to do. But at least she's moving slower now, satiated apparently by getting her feelings off her chest, and she lets you guide her this time.
"On the bed," you murmur against her lips. "If you're sure."
Kobeni nods frantically, clambering upon your mattress so eagerly that the sheets tangle around her. You bite back a giggle at the sight of her, sitting on her haunches like a dog awaiting its owners return.
"Tell me, okay?" you reiterate as you start undoing your shirt of your own admission; it slips off your shoulders, and Kobeni squeaks, eyes tracking your every moment like it's the last thing she'll ever see. Lamplight glints in the onyx of her eyes. "Kobeni. You can stop whenever. Whatever you're comfortable with. I need you to tell me what to do, how far you wanna go. Okay? You hear me?"
"Y-yes," she whimpers. "I, um..." Her hands wring together, eyes averting into her lap. "I want to... I don't know. I want... you to... t-touch me?"
"That's a start," you agree mildly. "How about we start smaller, though... you wanna take your shirt off?"
Her cheeks burn, but she nods, shaky hands moving to untuck her shirt from her slacks and start on the buttons. Pale skin slices down the middle, adorned with a worn, plain black bra. It looks like it's been through the washer two dozen times—you know Kobeni sends most of her paycheck home to her family. She must not be able to afford luxuries.
You could buy her one. Not in a weird way, like an old geezer sending lace thongs to his twenty-something secretary, obviously. Just... something that doesn't look like it's held together by two threads.
Kobeni covers the exposed skin. "Sorry," she mumbles, and you realise with a lurch you've been staring in silence. "I know I'm not—y-you're probably used to more—"
"Don't think that," you interrupt, walking over and slotting yourself between her legs. The fabric of her slacks strains against her thighs, and she stares up at you, slack-jawed, starry-eyed, alight with blush. "You're so gorgeous," you murmur. "So—the second you walked into my office, oh my god. Haven't been able to get you outta my head. Do I sound creepy? You can tell me if I do."
She shakes her head wildly. "N-no! Me too! I—like you said, the second I walked in—and you've been so kind. Nobody's ever..." Her lower lip trembles. "I really love you. Sorry. I love you."
"I love you too," you murmur, and swoop in to touch her.

Outcast // Hayakawa Aki x GN! Reader Fluff
Tumblr media
Warnings: None. Sfw. Focuses on Aki and reader’s healthy relationship. Story note: This is before Power and Denji moved into his apartment and when Himeno was alive.
————- Note: I'M CRINGING SO HARD AT THIS ALREADY- ;_; ahem. Anyways, no manga spoilers or spoilers past season one are here. So Anime onlys are completely safe. :)
I randomly got motivation to do this since it is a shower thought I had. Fictional character brain rot, am I right? I don’t know if this is considered a full on fic but more of a one-shot. Hope you enjoy. This is my first time writing on Tumblr (or a full on one-shot in general lol) so yeah. Hope it isn't too bad, if you want you can give tips in comments. ^^
Ended up being a bit longer than I thought, it was fun writing even though I struggled a bit at times to be happy with the dialogue and stuff. May edit a bit (cough cough a lot) more.
————-
Another month, another day.
Nighttime had overtaken the skies as you hear your co-workers laughing and enjoying themselves. They're all having fun, no worries whatsoever.
You were invited by Himeno to go out and drink. To have some fun for a bit. To let go of reality for a bit. The harsh reality of devils and lives constantly being robbed of innocent people.
It was a successful mission, so you were at the ramen restaurant watching your colleagues get drunk off of alcohol. It smelled like sweat and alcohol in the air, as you quietly sat there at a table not speaking to anyone.
In all seriousness, you didn’t really want to come. You would much rather stay home in your comfort area. You mainly came for two reasons: one being that you didn't want to decline Himeno's offer and seem a bit rude. You were starting to run out of excuses to not come. Second, being that you didn’t want to be the only outcast who didn’t come to a meeting where your co-workers are supposed to celebrate and forget about worries. All in bliss, getting high off of alcohol, escaping from reality.
You chose a chair where not too much people were as their laughs kept echoing. You sat somewhere to at least make you seem a bit included. You didn't drink any alcohol. You weren't a big fan of some. Certain drinks to you tasted disgusting in your opinion, and you didn't know how someone like Himeno could drink it raw.
You tried to peer your eyes at anything in an attempt at trying to ease the awkwardness of not having anyone to speak to. You didn't want to make it obvious you felt left out. If you were being honest, you felt like an outcast, like you weren’t really as included as some other workers are. Nobody tried to talk to you. And if they would do other activities, you'd be at home. Uninvited.
Or if you were invited, you barely spoke to anyone. If someone would reserve seats in a restaurant for the entire division, you would be the the person who is most likely to have been forgotten. Leading you to then be forced to eat at another table away from everyone else. Either that or if you do sit with many others, you'd be there in silence. Only occasionally speaking as you watch everyone else chat away, carefree. Having fun, getting high, getting that spark in their chest when they find someone they really enjoy talking to, and enjoying their time there in general.
So in conclusion, you felt like an outcast to others. Some people would only occasionally speak to you, only to stop speaking to you again. You barely knew anyone of them outside of work.
Well, except for one person that is.
Hayakawa Aki. Professional Aki. Known for being number one devil hater. The man whose family was robbed of him. The man who was forced to grow up too early in his life.
The Gun Devil obviously impacted everyone. Including you. So you couldn’t help but sympathize with him. At least some people who got affected had somebody. Whether it was an aunt, uncle, grandparent…While for Hayakawa, he had nobody. He had always blamed himself for his brother’s death. You knew that since you’ve known him for a while now. He always has blamed himself ever since that day.
November 18th, 10:00 am.
The Gun Devil would arrive and hit Japan for 26 seconds.
Deaths: 57,912.
United States: 124 seconds, 548,012 deaths.
China: 37 seconds, 316,932 deaths.
Soviet Union: 210 seconds, 155,302 deaths.
India: 15 seconds, 29,950.
Canada: 7 seconds, 8,481 deaths.
Mexico: 2 seconds, 6,088 deaths.
Hawaii: 0.4 seconds, 780 deaths.
In about five minutes, the Gun Devil managed to rob almost 1.2 million people of their lives.
New laws were enforced, orphanages began to overflow with desperate children and teenagers alike, kids, adults, grandparents, teachers, nearly everyone alike was impacted by the Gun Devil.
Hayakawa Aki, the man who deep down is filled with sorrow, anger, and guilt.
You remembered all of that. Felt a bit of sorrow, pity, and guilt in your gut for him and other victims, as a familiar face you began to notice was standing in a corner.
You couldn't help but feel yourself light up a bit. It was an opportunity. At least someone you know is there. At least someone who you know personally is there instead of being alone awkwardly, barely knowing anyone. You then stood up, and begin to wave to him, being careful not to be too loud to the point other workers would notice you. But just enough to get his attention. He noticed your hand, as his eyes met yours and he began to walk to you. Suit tied perfectly, hair tied in a topknot, eyes darting onto you.
Mister Hayakawa. Number one devil hater. The one who is supposedly cold on the outside.
As he walked toward you, you lightly smiled as he breathed in a cigarette.
“Aki- how are you?”
You were desperate to find someone to talk to by this point. You felt like an outcast at times as stated. Barely anyone talked to you at the moment and before. You couldn't help but feel alone at times. Every time you'd met up for the division to hang out and have fun it'd be the same. You would just be silent and ponder why you even decided to come.
Aki was the only one you knew well in that division. He was the only one who attempted to talk to you. The one who you could sometimes notice smiling in your presence.
Aki, the one you can go to to vent your problems.
Aki, the one who even bothers to ask how you are.
Aki, the one who speaks ever so politely to people that deserve it. Especially you.
Hayakawa Aki, the one who is always concerned for your safety despite what people say. Hayakawa Aki, the one who treats your wounds if you injure yourself. Hayakawa Aki, the one who you can always go to for comfort. The one you trust…
You were broken out of your train of thought, when he responded.
“I’m fine for now, thank you. I hope everything is going well for you.”
“It’s going fine so far- just glad to see you here so I can have someone to talk to. Better than just sitting there alone, am I right?”
He raised an eyebrow slightly.
“Hm? Don’t you have anyone else who talks to you here? You seem easy to get along with. I'm sure there's someone other than me.”
“Yeah, well…”
You couldn’t help but feel a flutter when he said you were, “easy to get along with.” Did he mean it? Cold devil hater Mister Hayakawa, calling someone easy to get along with? How nice. How surprising it’s you out of all people.
“I don’t really have any, close ones here y’know? I mean…Nobody really tried to reach out to me except for you. Or at least not as much.”
He lightly took a puff of his cigarette, when he spoke again.
“I see.”
You couldn’t help but notice a bit of pity in his eyes. Like he felt a bit, bad for you in a way? It was very hard to notice. But you can swear he at least feels a tiny bit of pity for you. A bit of empathy.
Aki empathizes with you. He remembers what it was like alone. Having to recover his family’s cold and lifeless bodies. Or at least what was left. They didn’t even look human. They looked like cold mannequins disguised as humans. No life in their eyes. He remembers the cold air and numb feeling he felt in his chest. He doesn't even know how to describe it.
He remembers being frozen in fear as he felt indescribable emotions during that time. A bit of denial when he first saw his house get blown away. Trying to process what just happened to not only him, but the entire world. Fear, anger, sorrow, guilt…
He felt alone. Like an outcast, perhaps? Nobody was there. That was something that hit him like a rock. Something he had absolutely no choice but to accept. No aunts, uncles, grandparents, no nothing.
He remembers coming to the realization that he truly was alone. Lonely, is the right word perhaps. Over time, he didn’t feel anything to it anymore as he first did. He was now numb. He felt nothing. Empty, perhaps. He was used to that feeling now. As stated, he became numb.
He has been used to waking up, going to work, and in hopes of getting closer to achieving his goal of revenge to soothe all of the anger and sadness he has. He just felt a bit...empty. Perhaps.
He lived for nothing but revenge. Anger, hate, sadness, guilt.
He’d wake up every day in his empty apartment. It was the same cycle every day since the Gun Devil.
Wake up, go to work, come home, sleep, repeat.
Wake up, go to work, come home, sleep, repeat.
Wake up…go to work, come home, sleep, repeat…
Revenge. That was his only purpose. Nothing else. Repeat the same cycle every day and hope to get closer to his goal as stated. Hope to soothe the pain. Hope to get peace by revenge.
Afterall, he had nobody. So why should he care about anyone or anything else?
Although, there was one exception.
Someone that feels just as lonely as him at times. Someone that sits alone at gatherings, such as this one. Barely talking to anyone. Someone who can listen to him. Comfort him. Support him. Just as much as he does to other’s. Almost as much as to how he doesn't hesitate to pull out his sword to save a life. Almost as much as how with each stab or usage of the blade reduces his lifespan with every time he tears a devil's flesh.
Aki cries, you and Himeno know that.
Even if it is just a partner he has known for a bit or a rookie, he cries. He cares.
Aki, whose heart deserves so much more.
Aki, who is deep down one of the most empathetic and caring man you've ever known.
Aki, who’d cry over your death.
Aki, who would do anything to protect you even if he won’t admit how much you mean to him…
Sometimes, he might even think when he sees you that he might have something in his life other than revenge, anger, sorrow, guilt, or the same cycle for once.
Maybe, instead of going through the same endless and empty cycle, it was pretty fun to talk to you.
The day got a bit more fun whenever he talked to you. It was just recently he noticed that. He'd feel something whenever he would see the way you enjoy talking to him. Whether it was him telling you how ridiculous you can be, whether it was about devils, whether it is him venting his frustrations...
To see you smile, laugh, and to know you enjoyed it just as much. You were so grateful to how he was one of the few, no, the only one who reached out to you in and outside of work.
Aki, the one who tries to include you even in gatherings like these. The one who at least tries to speak to you if he sees you're alone in gatherings. All so that you don't get the saame feeling he gets when he's alone.
Aki, who makes the places where you're usually an outcast, left out in conversations, kind of fun.
Back at the present, you were there in your chair. The air smelling like alcohol, beer, and sweat. Aki stood there. His tall figure looking over you. Analyzing you.
That’s when you realized he has been standing this whole time.
It was a long mission, his legs must be sore and tired. You notice the bandage over his arm due to him donating some skin to the fox devil. He deserves a rest. A whole break honestly. A whole break from this miserable life in general. From this sorrowful world. A world where he could be happy and have a life purpose that isn’t revenge. Aki, who deserves so much more...
It comes to your mind to offer a seat to Aki.
“Oh, you’ve been standing a lot, haven’t you?”
“I guess so.”
“Here.”
You get up, and slide the chair out a bit.
You see he gets a bit confused as you pull the chair out, that's when you explain.
“You can have my seat.”
He gets a bit caught off guard by the sudden gesture. A nice act of kindness to him. He then begins to politely decline, not wanting to take your seat.
“Hm? It’s fine. I’m alright with standing. Thank you for the offer though.”
“Nono, you need a break, Aki. You really should...relax for once. You’ve been through a lot. And we got out of that mission barely alive. We don't even know if we'll survive the day tomorrow...So because of that,"
"can I at least offer you a seat, Mister Hayakawa?”
Been through a lot.
Been through a lot is an understatement.
For a while, he’s had nobody and his only life purpose was revenge.
Yet hear you are, concerned for him. Caring for his life. Even though you know his lifespan has been shortened due to the curse devil, you are still there with him. He gets baffled when he thinks about it. Someone as kind and sweet as you nurturing him. Listening to him. Even if he can't even owe you a full life if he survived. But yet, here you are still wanting him to relax. Offering him a seat. Comforting him. Smiling at him. Talking to him outside of work. Being concerned for him...
You’re a pretty damn good person, he thinks.
Just the way your eyes light up when you talk to him. The way they light up when you get really into conversations with him. That spark in your chest. The way you act that way around him.
He’d pretend to be annoyed by you at times. By your ridiculous conversations at times. Mister perfect Hayakawa. Always so professional. But deep down, he can’t deny it.
You’re adorable.
He gets out of his thoughts about you, about your pretty face. The one he could never bring himself to hurt or insult. When he is about to speak again to politely decline once again, you begin to slide his body down onto the chair stand up.
He gets a bit caught off guard when your arms go onto him. A flutter goes off in his chest as he realizes your skin is touching his.
“Please, let me, Mister Hayakawa.”
You lightly smile at him when your eyes meet his.
Mister Hayakawa. He’d pretend to be annoyed by the childish nickname you gave him just to tease him, however he can’t help but lightly smile at your childish teasing's. How you are always more cheerful around him. Especially when he tries to include you in conversations he notices you're left out in. He can't help but find it cute with how comfortable you are with him.
As he gets forced to sit down, you begin to walk away to maybe try and find another seat or a comfortable place to stand. But that’s when you feel a hand on your arm, ushering you down.
“Since there’s one seat, we’ll make it work.”
“Wait- hu-“
You get extremely caught off guard, when he drags you down onto the chair until you’re on his lap.
“Wait- Aki- wha-?“
“There’s one chair here, isn’t there?”
“How about we both sit here. It works. Doesn’t it?”
Your eyes widen a bit, extremely flustered and caught off guard. You did not expect that at all. Especially from Aki out of all people.
“Aki I’m going to crush you-“
“I’m fine. I can handle you sitting on my lap.”
You’re holding back your weight to not crush him, you're tensed up and incredibly flustered at him suddenly offering you on his lap. You look at him, a bit shocked. As he continues smoking his cigarette non-challantly like it's nothing.
You get even more caught off guard when he has his arms go onto your back and stomach, trying to straighten your posture.
Since when did he get so bold? You wonder.
When did he get so handsome? So charming?
“Straighten your posture a bit, bad posture can cause back pain. I don't want your back being sore on the next mission.”
“R-right…”
You swear you can hear him lightly chuckle as you’re on his lap. On how flustered you are. This is unlike him. Very unlike him. He's a sweet and empathetic man deep down. You know that. However this is in public, in front of others, where anyone can see.
However, this one time, perhaps he doesn’t care.
He wants you to be included. To not be like him when he was alone. Cold, empty, going through the same endless meaningless cycle in hopes for magically finding happiness one day.
Aki empathizes with you, Aki would always understand your emotions no matter what. Whatever happens, he'd always be as understanding as he possibly could with you.
“Aki, are you sure this is oka-“
“I’m the one who offered you on my lap, didn’t I?”
You nod, when his hands go to your shoulders to massage it. He tries to get you to relax, noticing how tense you are.
"You should relax, being tensed up can also cause soreness."
Because of those words, you begin to ease up a bit. You feel your body slowly stop being tense. And you swear you hear Aki chuckle about how flustered you are.
You’re cute. He thinks to himself.
A few minutes go by, and you and Aki begin to have some small talk. Some parts of the conversation about devils, how work is going, life, advice for outside of work…
For the first time in this gathering, you genuinely smile and laugh with him. As Aki looks at you, he notices you have that spark in your eye. The feeling you get when you're really enjoying a conversation with someone. That feeling in your chest. Like a fire being lit up and the flames burning. That great feeling. And if you're being honest, you can tell Aki feels the same.
Aki, the man you can always trust to be your therapist. The one who would wipe your tears if you cried. The one who calms you down. Helps you relax. You, the one Aki is empathetic towards. The one who Aki trusts to talk to. The one he can vent to. The few he wouldn't mind crying in front of.
You continue chatting instead of drinking. Him chuckling at some of your funny or weird retorts. You're still on his lap. Which in your opinion, is a lot more fun than getting high off of beer and alcohol as an escapism from reality.
Perhaps this night was a bit fun after all.

- What it's like to wake up next to your loving boyfriend.
Tumblr media
Content warnings: Overstimulation, breeding, cnc
Tumblr media
Men who appreciate every day they get to wake up to your gorgeous face and just love sharing a bed with you overall. Making sure your pussy is easily accessible to him at all times.
Every morning, the only thought that plagues his mind is your tank top stuck to your skin, exposing your nipples, the flush of your ass against your lacy panties, and the desperate look on your face when you wake up. It gives him a throbbing urge to sink his cock into your pussy.
He’d start with his hands wandering everywhere. from his arms wrapped around your waist to gripping your ass and rubbing you through your panties.
Pulling them to the side to reveal your wet pussy. The feeling of his cock teasing your folds before he slides his cock in makes you whimper.
He can’t help but groan when your juices flow out as he pushes inside of you. You're just so wet. He loves fucking you from the side because it only makes his thrust deeper, hitting your spot every time.
He tries to silence your cries by shoving his tongue down your throat as you babble and whine about how you can't take much more. Your eyes are filling with pleasurable tears, and your mouth is welling with drool from overstimulation from the way the head of his cock hits your sweet spot nonstop.
He rubs small circles onto your clit, ass swaying from the sheer force of his hips. He begins to get so lost in the feeling of your pussy that he fucks you till he can’t stop. Fucking you through your orgasm His head is in the crook of your neck as he groans at the feeling of you clenching down on his overly sensitive tip.
After what feels like hours, you're reaching back to grip his hair, eyes rolled back. Just begging for him to fill you up again.

Tumblr media
⋆౨ৎ˚⟡.• Itadori Yuuji
so basically, you and yuuji are dating he loves you so much! he praises you everyday and makes sure you are healthy!
he loves to cuddle you and tell you that everything is alright and you guys just fall asleep together
yuuji always hypes you up when you try out a new clothing style that you have been wanting to try out!
yuuji is defo the type of guy thats "my s/o can wear whatever they want, i can fight" type of guy
It was a sunday morning, you and yuuji had decided to go shopping for clothes to an upcoming christmas party that gojo had set up. You had been thinking to try out a new style in awhile since you have been seeing it in social media and you wanted to add more clothing variety to your closet. "hey yuuji, can we go and try out some clothes on this store? i have been wanting to try out something new but i think i won't look good in it.." you tugged on the hem of his shirt and turned you head to look at him. "of course we can! but honestly, i think you have a great sense of fashion and you'll look good in anything so don't worry too much!" he kissed your forehead and assured you to not worry too much which has made you feel relieved and confident to try out the new style that you have wanting to try out. You and yuuji had walked in to the store and they staff had assisted the both of you. You started to go to the fitting room and try out the clothes that you had picked out and you looked at your own reflection at the mirror. You looked at your own reflection and you can't wait to see yuuji's reaction to your new style that you've tried out. You went out of the dressing room and yuuji literally ran up to you and hugged you and started praising you. "babe you look so good! i knew that you would style it perfectly!" you giggled at his antics and you guys proceeded to check out while holding eachothers hands.
⋆౨ৎ˚⟡.• denji hayawaka
you're probably denji's first actual serious relationship and he loves you so much to the point that whenever he wakes up in the morning that you're the person he always tries to find in the morning
when you tell him about your insecurities, i just kind of gets confused because 'why?' he dosen't get why you're insecure of your body cuz he literally loves everything about you but he dosen't question it
he will become your personal hype man and tell how amazing you look
if you're insecure about gaining weight, he will give you your favorite snacks where the nutritional facts are crossed out and there would be a little note that says "hi babe! take a lil break ok? i love you" attached to it, you laugh at the messy handwriting to it but also appreciate his actions
overall, denji would do anything to make you happy and distract you from the thoughts of feeling insecure
You and denji were just chilling on a friday night, you guys just finished eating dinner and you both were cuddling by the couch while watching whatever gameshow thats playing on the tv, the silence was comforting and you guys enjoyed each others embrace. "you know i really love you right?" denji said randomly while turning his head to look at you. "yes denji, i'm aware" you placed a kiss on his cheeks while playing with his hair. "honestly, i think i don't get to say how much i appreciate you cause i think im not that good at words but i just wanna say that i love every part of you." he kissed you by the lips. The both of you just stayed quiet the whole night and you feel appreciated and happy. The both of you cuddled and fell asleep and woke up by the morning.

CSM AVENTIO AU short snippet
"Doctor," Aventurine says, as they stand there on their apartment balcony together. "What is your opinions on humans?"
"Where is this coming from?" Ratio scoffs, leaning on the railings. His irises widen, almost like a cat's, adjusting to the dark. His horns peak slightly out of his hair. He yawns, and with the light that Aventurine's lighter casts on their balcony, he can catch the way Ratio's fangs glint.
"Curiosity," Aventurine replies, and pulls out his next cigarette, placing it in front of the awaiting flame. It comes to life immediately, and he inhales it, then exhales, watching the smoke from his cigarette fade away into the dying night's sky.
"If you wish to know what I have already stated multiple times," Ratio says, "I think most humans are mediocre. They do not think for themselves. Their critical thinking skills.. gone." He glances at Aventurine's cigarettes. "Stop smoking. It'll kill you, eventually."
"Ah-ah-ah," Aventurine laughs, tilting his head back when he does. He then takes another drag. "That's the point, Doc."
"You are destroying yourself," Ratio observes, his gaze analytical.
The devil hunter grins.
The fiend stares back.
"Of course I'm destroying myself," he says. "It's a key human trait."
"I take back my observation from earlier," Ratio says instead, perfectly impassive, and yet, Aventurine can see the way his teeth grind together in the dim lighting. "Most humans are mediocre, but you are a self-sacrificial idiot."
"You've got me all figured out, don't you?" Aventurine asks with a wide, wide smile. It feels fake. It's like molten plastic on his face.
"No," Ratio replies. "I will figure you out, though."
"Good luck, fiend." It feels like a challenge. This is Aventurine's bet. He is a man of good luck - his contract to the Devil of Fortune deems it so, after all. He's been doomed since he was born, a lucky, lucky child despite the fact that Misfortune was brought to everyone around him.
Ratio will be the next to fall.
He doesn't seem bothered, though.
He grins back, all sharp teeth and inhuman eyes.
"In the pursuit of knowledge," the fiend of knowledge says, "I thank you for your luck. I won't need it."
Aventurine had known that this fiend - the fiend of knoweldge, the representation of human's fear of knowledge - would be interesting. In the way that he seemed to 'propagate' his own fear by teaching others, from the way that he enjoyed giving his knowledge to others, studying things - he was much more different then what Aventurine had in mind when it had been announced that the fiend of knowledge wanted to work with Public Safety.
However, for some reason, he was also... the perfect embodiment of knowledge. He knew too much. Inspired fear with the way he stared at people.
But not Aventurine.
Aventurine was never afraid of knowledge.
It seems that Dr. Ratio isn't afraid of misfortune, either. Maybe he believes that his knowledge will allow him to navigate the situation.
However the dice rolls..
It will be interesting.
"Here's to our new partnership," the gambler says, instead, holding up another cigarette for the fiend.
Doctor Ratio rolls his eyes, and pushes Aventurine's cigarette back towards him. His hands are warm. Almost... human.
"Keep your cigarette, gambler," he says. "I'm not intent on destroying myself in my own pursuit for knowledge, or the future. I also won't bet everything when I'm trying to achieve my goals." And then, without another word, he leaves the balcony, door sliding shut behind him as he pads back into the apartment.
Aventurine stands out there, in the cold, smoke tumbling from his lit cigarette, and the unlit one still in his other hand.
This will be interesting.

a/n - as much as i hate makima, the idea was too good to let go, so have this! thanks for reading! titled "fear me not". maybe ooc but hey, let her be whipped. have a good day/night!
↬ cw: spoilers if you haven't read the manga, slight obsession (makima)
Tumblr media
"Do you fear me?"
It was certainly out of the blue, and a very out-of-character question for a person like Makima to ask. You, who was sipping on a cup of coffee, sat across her inside her living room, had momentarily stopped reading the book you held, incredulously raising a brow at her.
Was it something she shouldn't have asked? It wasn't uncommon for her to ask questions out of nowhere, but out of all the questions she had asked, this one, in particular, had the most unique reaction. You looked at her funny, an expression you rarely wear when acknowledging her.
Then, you let out a sigh, placed a bookmark in between the pages you previously read in your book, and closed it. You crossed your legs and continued to take a long, leisurely sip of your coffee.
How odd. This is usually a pose you do when the two of you are about to have a serious discussion. Makima replicated your seating, ignoring the multiple huskies whining on her lap for her attention.
"Would you ever hurt me?" You simply asked, heaving a hot breath that smelt like ground coffee beans and milk.
Would she? Makima opened her mouth to answer you, but then closed it again, mulling over your question more. Could she even hurt you? You were different than the rest. She was a devil. The Control Devil, to be precise. One of the most powerful devils known to man, you should be afraid.
Even being granted by the government a high position in the Public Safety Devil Hunters, high enough to know who she truly was, there wasn't a single ounce of fear in your body. Neither an inch of worship. Perhaps respect as your higher-up, but nonetheless, you tolerated her at most.
A human, a mortal, at the mercy of the Control Devil, is having a normal day with her. In her own apartment. Talking to her on equal grounds.
Were you even human at this point? Makima often wondered. You smell human, but in the period you've known each other, she's never seen fear on your face lest it wasn't directed to her.
You screamed over a cockroach that crawled over your foot, for god's sake!
Oddly enough, she was relieved. Not annoyed, or angry. Her chest felt light whenever she was with you. Because she knew she wasn't talking to a puppet, but to you. You didn't force yourself to like her or made her feel like she was a much superior being to you. You made her feel as if she was just a simple human as you are. You glare at her, scoff, and sigh, but she never felt repulsed by it. She loved it.
Makima was the first to confess. Perhaps she was disillusioned by your fearlessness. Much to her amusement, you were definitely shocked. Confused and also quite perturbed. It was also the first time she felt a laugh bubble from her chest but stopped herself from doing so.
So cute.
As expected, you rejected her. Multiple times, but she was persistent. So she tried again, and again. You never gave in, rejecting her at each confession. But in between those confessions, you've gotten to know her more. From her interest in (crude) paintings, her favorite drink, movies, her multiple dogs, food, and many many more.
Makima could tell you'd grown fond of her.
She finally understood the feeling humans often described as "butterflies in your stomach", because she felt it when you first laughed and smiled in her presence. Her heart, a part of her she was sure was dead, pounded against her chest and heat crept up to the tips of her ears.
You finally said yes.
When Makima first confessed, she thought she would find happiness with you, all because you were different than the rest. For once, outside of work, you treated her similarly to everyone else.
And she did.
From offering your own blood when she's injured even though she could handle it herself, helping her take care of her dogs, cooking for her, cleaning for her, and formulating plans with her. You smiled more often, especially when she was around. You'd huff in annoyance when one of her colleagues makes a move on her even if she reassured you for the nth time that they were just under her control.
You were cute. You made her feel warm on the inside. You made her feel multiple emotions she's never felt before. You're always so eager to care for her, to give her hugs when she gives you a certain look, to kiss her oh so tenderly on her lips, to remove her coat for her when she goes home late, and many more.
You were her everything, even if she wasn't the best at showing it. Even if she was the fearsome Control Devil. You loved her, despite who or what she was.
So no, perhaps she would never hurt you. Because once you lose yourself from her control, or die from a devil's hand, perhaps she'd lose herself as well. Lose everything she cared for.
No, because it's you.
"That's my answer." You say after her prolonged silence. It was been approximately 5 minutes since you last spoke and she's been in a daze since then. Even if she hadn't spoken, she needn't either way. You could see it in her eyes, the way the corners of her lips twitched, arms that were once neatly folded on her chest now clutching the dog that rested on her lap. She didn't even notice it licking her cheek.
"Makima," You sighed, setting down your cup of coffee on the center table. Finally, her eyes focused on you, shoulders easing once she saw your face. "What's there to fear?"
With that, she found herself huffing in amusement. She pointed a finger to you, a finger gun. She could easily end your life at right this moment, with a single flick of her wrist. But all you did was scoff and roll your eyes, grabbing the forgotten book and opening it once more. "That wasn't a challenge, but go on with it."
Makima's smile widened, pulling her hand away and standing up from her seat, claiming the spot next to you instead.
Looks like you were right once more. You never fail to intrigue her. You never fail to impress her. You never fail to make her fall harder for you.
"I love you," Makima wrapped her arms around yours, laying her head against your shoulder. She had to hold back a smirk that threatened to creep up on her lips when you suddenly sputtered, face red at her confession.
Despite it all, you still get flustered at her unpredictableness. You are still human after all. Her human. Her lover.

"Thanks for coming out here, Ms. Makima," you smiled as you took a slice of apple pie from the wooden counter, "I know that you must be busy back in the city! I kinda feel bad..." you frown, setting the slice of pie in front of the woman.
Makima only smiled, "Don't feel bad." she reassured, taking a bite out of your delicious pie, "I like it out here rather than in the city. it's peaceful." She chuckles.
"Ehhh? is the city really that bad?" you tilt your head, taking a seat on the red cotton couch next to Makima, along with your own plate of apple pie.
With a chuckle, Makima nods her head. "too noisy, too stressful." was her reply before finishing up her pie, "I wouldn't recommend living there, in my opinion."
You only laugh, "I wasn't planning on it, but I do want to visit someday~" you sing, smiling.
Moments like these are what Makima enjoys the most. No devil attacks, no paperwork, and especially no coworkers to deal with. Only you and your yummy pies.
"I'll take you someday, I promise."
"You better! I wanna see the Skytree- OH!"
With a sudden movement, the older woman lifts you off the couch, setting you on her lap. Her head nuzzled deep on your neck, inhaling your sweet scent. It was an understatement that Makima cares for you a lot; you were different from the humans she interacted with.
While some were greedy, selfish, and violent, you were quite the opposite. Pleasant, caring, and soft.
Her little puppy.
"Maki?" your soft voice brought her back to reality, feeling how your fingers skillfully combed through her red locks of hair. Without hesitation, she leans downward, giving your neck little kisses.
You squeal in laughter, squirming on her lap. "M-Maki, stop that; you know that tickles!"
But she doesn't and doesn't plan to stop anytime soon. Makima knew your weak spots well and what kind of sounds you make when she sucks in the right places.
It’s an understatement that the redhead is obsessed <3

Out of Her Control
Makima x She/Her Reader
A/N: I wasn’t sure where I should have gone with this one so it’s mostly snippets of before they got together and then ending with them as a couple. It’s mostly me trying to figure out how Makima would act if she had feelings for someone. I’m pretty sure everyone should know that something is off about Makima by now, but if you haven’t read the manga yet, probably skip for now just to be safe. Thanks for the request, hope you like it! Word Count: 3,564
Humans were just too easy to manipulate, to bend this way and that. More often than not, Makima could get what she wanted without using the full extent of her power, sometimes she didn’t even have to use it at all. And as much as she loved humans and their amusing little moral nuances and loyalties, it could be rather dull leading them on a leash, there was no challenge.
When Makima was informed of a few prospective team members applying to join her division of the Public Safety Commission, she scanned over their files and résumés as if paging through summaries of animals looking for their forever homes. She let out a disappointed hum, unsure if any of them were worth taking under her wing.
She would give them all a job, of course she would. Devil Hunters came and went as surely as the tides changed each day. They needed all the bodies they could get, but Makima definitely played favorites when it suited her.
Perhaps she’d get a clearer idea once they began their new profession, but she wasn’t holding her breath.
And for the most part, the new recruits were exactly as she imagined them to be, people pleasers, Makima pleasers, to be specific. Always doing as she asked without another thought in their heads. Reasonable people would say it was because of her senior standing among most Devil Hunters, but Makima knew better. If any other senior Devil Hunter sent one of their juniors off on a thinly veiled death march, they would not be half as successful in getting what they asked for.
“And that is how we will take down the devil in position of this sizable piece of the Gun Devil. Any questions? Concerns?” Makima asked with a overtly saccharine smile. She expected no resistance, but she always asked anyway, an illusion of choice. She inhaled to speak again, to dismiss the small group to what would likely be their last job, but an important one nonetheless.
But then a little ways across the table, a woman loosely raised her hand from where it had sat over crossed arms, without waiting to be acknowledged, she spoke,
“Miss Makima, I do have concerns. This plan will undoubtedly lead us all to an early grave.”
The rest of the table cast the woman dirty looks and grumbled under their shared breaths, judging the woman for not only questioning Makima’s plan, but even going as far to say that it would fail them so spectacularly. Makima subtly grinned.
“Ah, Miss…” Makima trailed off, she hadn’t bothered memorizing any of their names in the three weeks since they had arrived. If she had been anyone else, she might have been embarrassed by that now.
“(Y/n).” The woman supplied, her eyes narrowed and her eyebrows angled ever so slightly downward, conveying a mild annoyance that made Makima’s own eyes light up in response. No one ever looked at her with even the smallest hint of disapproval, wariness, sure, but never disapproval. Unless you maybe counted Kishibe, but he had been in the business forever so it was to be expected from him.
“(Y/n),” Makima tested the name on her tongue, “please do share what you mean.”
The other juniors in the room jumped in before (Y/n) could say a word, assuring Makima that her plan was perfectly acceptable and that they could handle everything just fine.
Makima raised her hand, motioning the group to quiet, which they did almost immediately. No different from her dogs at home, really.
“There is no need to become so defensive on my behalf, we are all working towards the same goal and have humanity’s best interests at heart. I would be remiss if I didn’t take the thoughts of others into account before possibly making a grave miscalculation. So that being said,” Makima’s eyes found (Y/n)’s again, “the floor is yours, (Y/n).”
“Thanks, anyway,” (Y/n) pushed her office chair away from the conference table and strode over to the city map projected on the wall near where Makima stood.
Her peers shot her questioning and displeased looks as she went. Makima stepped back to give her room, hands clasped behind her back, waiting, intrigued.
“This route makes no tactical sense,” (Y/n) pointed out, “It would bring too much attention to us if we were all grouped up like this. The devil would see us coming and with its Gun Devil enhanced power, it would wipe us out in a single attack. I strongly suggest…”
(Y/n) went on to mark three separate routes on the map and even went on to share the strengths of each individual in the room and who should be paired off and take which route.
“…Finally, if all goes smoothly, we should all converge near this point, and take care of the devil then,” (Y/n) looked over to Makima who’s face still wore a ghostly smile, “Of course I’m open to more discussion, but if you insist on your initial plan Miss Makima, then you can count me out.”
A few strangled sounds of disbelief littered the room, but Makima simply tilted her head to the side, eyes boring into (Y/n)‘s.
“You would quit?”
“Perhaps. Private Sector makes more money anyway. And despite my clear lack of popularity with my coworkers’ at present, I would rather them not die if it can be helped. What do you say?”
Makima chuckled at that, leaning into (Y/n)’s personal space. (Y/n) didn’t fluster nor back away, but she did raise an expectant eyebrow, a curious expression visible as she waited for Makima’s denial or approval of her idea.
She had Makima’s approval alright, in more ways than one.
“Very well,” Makima nodded, unblinking, “let’s give it a try.”
***
(Y/n) stared down bitterly at the graves long after the service had concluded. Then she heard a rumble roll across the sky accompanied by the rustling of grass and approaching footsteps. The dark shadow of an umbrella fell over her head and a long, black coat came into her periphery as the first drops of rain began to fall around them.
“Would it really have killed them to listen to me?” (Y/n) murmured without thinking.
“It certainly killed them not to listen.” Makima provided, tone neither one of mirth nor despair, simply apathetic. “For what it’s worth, I thought your plan was better. At least their sacrifices hadn’t been for nothing.”
“I suppose.” (Y/n) sighed wearily.
When the day of the mission had arrived, (Y/n)‘s stubborn peers acted on the original plan detailed by Makima. (Y/n) had linked up with some of the senior hunters from another unit and together they killed the devil and retrieved the fragment of the Gun Devil that it had coveted, but not before a good chunk of the city block had been destroyed. Several civilians as well as her peers littered the street crushed and mangled.
“The rain is getting stronger,” Makima noted, twisting the umbrella that hung over their heads, “I’d like to invite you to my home. I’ll make you something warm to eat and we can drink our sorrows away.” Allow me learn what makes you tick.
(Y/n) surprisingly shook her head, “I appreciate the offer Miss Makima, but I need time to reflect on my own I think.”
Makima’s lips parted, a honeyed insistence already on her tongue, but then she stopped herself, a small smile painting her lips instead.
“I understand. Perhaps another time then.”
“Sure. Well,” (Y/n) paused awkwardly, then flicked up the hood of her coat, “see you Monday.”
“Monday,” Makima confirmed.
She made a move to press her umbrella into (Y/n)’s hands, but she was waved off as soon as their hands touched, (Y/n) thanked her anyway but she had still denied the silent offer, order? Makima watched on as (Y/n) walked briskly out of the cemetery, a taxi already waiting for her to climb into it.
Makima watched the car roll off before starting to walk to her own. She could have easily persuaded (Y/n) to join her, but she found it much more compelling to let the chips fall where they may, for now at least. It was rather exciting.
***
Makima never used her power on (Y/n). A self-imposed rule. That didn’t mean she didn’t have little eyes and ears on her almost constantly. She enjoyed checking in on the unsuspecting Devil Hunter, watching what she did when she wasn’t working. It seemed silly, but Makima felt like she might have been falling for the young woman.
Perhaps it was an unhealthy amount of self-confidence provided by her constant stream of admirers, but she couldn’t have been more surprised when (Y/n) politely declined her proposition. It wasn’t obvious, the biggest hint of her bafflement being two blinks in rapid succession.
“I’m sorry Miss Makima, I just don’t think it would be appropriate for the workplace. Not to mention how dangerous this job is. It’s not a good idea to get too attached to anyone here. I learned that pretty quickly…”
Makima squeezed her hands behind her back, reminding herself that (Y/n)’s will, free from her own, was what drew her to her in the first place. Besides, who really knew what the future would hold for them.
“No need to apologize, I understand your concerns. However, if you ever change your mind, I’ll be here.”
(Y/n) shook her head, a sympathetic smile on her face, “Don’t wait for me, Miss Makima, you do deserve to be happy with someone, but it probably isn’t going to be me.” Then she left Makima’s office, closing the door quietly behind her.
“I wouldn’t be so sure.” Makima leaned back in her chair, smiling to herself.
She was still committed to not using her influence, and she was confident that she wouldn’t need it. She’s seen many questionable human couples, if they could stumble into a courtship, she certainly could. She would just need to be patient and drop subtle reminders of her availability.
One might argue how Makima studied (Y/n) so thoroughly to know exactly what to say and do to get her heart pounding would be just another form of manipulation, but Makima would say that this way took a lot of time and effort and was much more heartfelt. In fact, as the months stretched on and the longer it took to win (Y/n)’s favor, the more Makima felt for her.
It had been a particularly hard day for (Y/n) when she had gone to Makima asking if she wanted to go out for drinks. She had grown out of the rookie position by simply surviving a few months and had been assigned a couple juniors of her own to look after. They had went as quickly as they had came, but it still weighed on her.
Makima made sure not to seem too eager. She would be a shoulder to lean on, but anything (Y/n) wanted, she could have it if she went for it. Truly not knowing where the night would go, excited her.
Makima ushered (Y/n) into her car and took her to a restaurant she had remembered her mentioning in passing as one of her favorites. They got a cozy little booth in the corner. The ordered their meals and drinks and quietly conversed, letting the warmth of the room and the gentle clinks of of cups and chopsticks against ceramic.
It was the most loose Makima had witnessed (Y/n), she had a couple drinks, but she wasn’t drunk by any means. Maybe a little tipsy at most, but her smile looked more genuine than it ever did at work, and she sounded so relaxed, she even laughed! But then she began hiding yawns behind her hand and final calls could be heard from the bar. It was getting late.
Makima hated the thought of having to drive (Y/n) home. She never wanted to let her go for even a moment, but that wasn’t her choice to make. How irksome it was to play by the rules of a game she had created. A game that only she was aware she was playing.
Makima scooped up the check an paid for everything before (Y/n) could even think about reaching into her coat pocket.
“Hey, I’m the one who invited you out. What do I owe you?” (Y/n) asked, cracking open her wallet.
Makima reached over the table and put her hand on (Y/n)’s to stop the motion.
“You owe nothing. It’s been difficult for you these last few weeks.”
Makima noticed a look of gentle longing, but it left as quickly as it came when another yawn passed (Y/n)’s lips.
“Let’s get you home.”
Makima ushered (Y/n) outside and into the passenger seat of her sleek black car before maneuvering around to get in herself. The ride was quiet save for the ac blowing a constant stream of warm air to offset the chill of the night. When Makima parked the car outside of (Y/n)’s apartment complex, she turned to smile at her and waited for her to unbuckle her seatbelt, but instead she just sat there, looking pensive.
“What is on your mind, (Y/n)?” She asked, inching her hand over the center console while she debated if it would be a good idea to touch her or not.
(Y/n) leaded back against the car door, halting the slow journey Makima’s hand had been making. (Y/n) bit her inner cheek and looked out upon the streetlights casting the sidewalk in a yellowish glow.
“I think I’m failing for you.”
Makima’s eyes lit up with an excited gleam, but still she left the decision of what would happen next up to (Y/n).
“What will you do about it?”
(Y/n) leaned over the center console, her hand resting atop Makima’s. She leaned in further still until her lips found Makima’s. It took a lot of control on Makima’s part to not chase her when she pulled away too soon for her liking.
“Was that okay? I’m sorry, I know you said you liked me, but that was awhile ago and I still should have asked first.”
“It was fine,” Makima assured, “No need to apologize.”
“…Just fine?” (Y/n) asked, almost incredulously.
“Could have been longer,” Makima smirked.
“Well, I could rectify that, if it’s okay with you.”
Makima was more than okay with it, she had been waiting for a development like this for what felt like ages. The longer they continued to kiss in her car, the more she began to wonder,
“What made you change your mind about us being together? I recall you not finding workplace relationships favorable.”
“That’s true,” (Y/n) agreed, between trying to catch her breath, “But I decided after attending my third junior’s funeral that I’m done with devil hunting. I’m quitting. I did leave the resignation paperwork on your desk last week, did you not notice it?”
(Y/n), leaving Public Safety? That would make watching her so much more difficult, limit their time together drastically. This both annoyed and exhilarated Makima because she could not have foreseen her making a choice like this. She would not have had her make a decision like this. It was almost enough to make Makima use a bit of persuasion to have (Y/n) sleep on that decision and think it over, but she couldn’t. A (Y/n) under her control was not really her (Y/n) at all, oddly enough.
“I guess I was too busy admiring you, to think about what you were there for.”
“Ever the charmer,” (Y/n) unbuckled her seatbelt, “Well… you have my number, let me know when you get home safe and then maybe we could exchange schedules for next week?”
“You already have a new job?”
“Family Burger,” (Y/n) groaned, “Just until I finish the degree I left hanging. I hope.”
“I guess I know where I will be getting lunch for the foreseeable future then.”
“You cannot eat Family Burger everyday, It’ll kill you!” (Y/n) laughed.
“It would take a lot more than a a little grease to kill me.” Makima grinned, maybe (Y/n) would learn that someday.
“Trust me, it would be more than a little grease. But I wouldn’t be opposed if you came by every once in awhile.”
“It’s a date.”
“No way! I’m gonna take you on a real nice date the next time our schedules sync. Mark my words!” (Y/n) promised. She pressed a quick kiss against Makima’s cheek, then opened the car door to let herself out.
“Good night, Makima.”
“Good night.”
Makima watched (Y/n) wave to her from the door and when she walked inside and shut the door behind her, Makima drove home. She was sure to text (Y/n) of her safe arrival as soon as the dogs stopped jumping all over her.
They texted back and forth for a bit, sharing possible times to meet up, and then Makima decided to take a shower before getting into bed. She stared up at the dark ceiling, going over the night’s events in her mind.
It all felt so very peculiar. Makima wasn’t quite sure she had ever felt so many emotions in such a short time. (Y/n) appeared to return her affections, she kissed her. Multiple times. She only wished (Y/n) would stay with Public Safety. It was something that she could easily remedy, but she had restrained herself yet again. Though Makima wondered if she would be able to continue that trend if she had reason to believe that (Y/n) could be in danger. It was easier to look out for her when they worked together. She may have the birds and rats to keep an eye on her, but the proximity was stretched much too thin for her liking.
Hopefully the next steps in their relationship would follow quickly now that the ball was finally rolling. She wanted to come home to see (Y/n) curled up with her dogs in the worst way.
“Soon,” she promised herself, “soon.”
***
The day did come when (Y/n) suggested moving in somewhere together. It took longer than Makima would have liked to get to that point, but at least it was finally happening. She would have liked to have a talk with whomever gave her the impression that it was customary that women moved in together on the second date. It would have humiliated even Makima if (Y/n) had known she came to pick her up with her trunk full of collapsed boxes to help her move, only to learn they were going to the aquarium.
“Awww, this is the sea lion plush I got you when we went to the aquarium, isn’t it? We should go again sometime soon.” (Y/n) smiled, placing the stuffed animal back on the bed.
Makima nodded in agreement. Despite her initial disappointment, she did have a good time and she did like the sea lion (Y/n) had gifted her. They’re like the dogs of the ocean. Makima never really understood the novelty of such toys, but she had to admit there was something desirable about this one at the very least.
After hanging the rest of (Y/n)’s clothes in the closet, they heard a few whines and a pawing at the door. The dogs had been shut out to keep them out of the way as they unpacked (Y/n)’s belongings.
“The sweet babies,” (Y/n) chuckled, “so lonely.”
“They are simply excited about your indefinite stay, as am I.”
(Y/n) walked around the bed to hug Makima, melting when the embrace was returned.
“Me too. Should we let them in now?”
“Only if you are ready to be buried in seven heavy, wiggly, fluffy dogs.”
“Oh, I think all the other times I came over to visit prepared me for this moment.”
“Fair enough.” Makima smirked at (Y/n) over her shoulder before releasing the dogs upon her.
“Nooo!” (Y/n) laughed.
She was immediately overwhelmed and shoved to the ground. Wagging tails and slobbery tongues hitting her from all sides.
“Makima,” she wheezed, “Help!”
“I thought you said you were prepared?”
“I was wrong!”
“Sit.” Makima ordered. Her voice was soft, but the dogs listened without delay, each looking up at her expectantly. Makima made a quick motion with her hand and the dogs stampeded out of the bedroom.
“Thank you, my hero.” (Y/n) reached her hand up towards Makima, while still laying flat on the floor.
“You’re very welcome,” Makima reached further than (Y/n)’s hand, instead grasping her above her elbow to pull her up so they stood chest to chest. “Is this better?”
“Much.” (Y/n) clung to Makima again, smiling contently.
“So affectionate today,” Makima teased, though she was being just as touchy.
“I would argue I’m always affectionate with you, but I am especially happy right now,” she nuzzled Makima’s jaw, planting a quick kiss against her skin, “I love you.”
It wasn’t the first time (Y/n) had told her so, but the effect was always the same. A warm feeling in Makima’s chest like a warm summer afternoon always bubbled up. It felt so strange, but she enjoyed it.
“And I you.” Makima cupped (Y/n)’s face in her hands. Her stare was as intense as it was tender. She wasn’t sure she had ever been quite as close to happiness as she was right in that moment.
That something out of her control could love her, would choose to love her, it was euphoric.

You’re So Lucky
Pairings - fem!reader x Aki Hayakawa
Warnings - 18+ smut, unprotected sex, cream pie, oral sex f receiving, friends with benefits, Denji being a perv, slight angst but not really, not proof read
Word count - 2.8k
A/n - I wrote this in like an hour after seeing an Aki edit on tiktok and feeling absolutely feral for him so it’s not very good but we move. I haven’t read the CSM manga so sorry if anything is too inaccurate but it’s mostly just smut, not much lore!
I am planning on releasing a Halloween one shot (maybe a little late) but I’m not sure which fandom I’ll write it for, probably Haikyuu, so if there is any specific character you want it to be about just let me know!:)

00:13.
You hummed along quietly to the song playing over the radio of your car, hoping neither of your parents would peer into your room to check on you throughout the night. A light buzzing of a notification on your phone caught your attention as you glanced down to see the text coming through.
"Aki: Are you nearly here?"
You chuckled at his eagerness, it had been some time since you had last seen him, the memory of your first encounter flicking through your mind as you recalled picking up your father, who had drunk a little too much with his colleagues, from a bar. Aki had helped him into the backseat of your shitty little student car, a few flirtatious words were shared and before you knew it he was asking you over in the sinful hours. His skillful flirting implied he was no stranger to talking with women, but you didn't care. You weren't looking for anything serious.
Both of you had agreed to a 'no feelings involved' relationship. It was just sex. Of course, it was only natural that your resolve faltered in some tender moments. Catching his soft gaze as you lay next to him, breathless and sweating, you thought it possible that something could grow from this. However, those moments were few and far between. More often than not, you'd be redressing before either of you had even caught your breath.
Finally, you had reached Akis residence. It was small, and cozy. Probably cleaner than the house you shared with others as a student. Just as you raised a fist to knock, his door swung open, startling you slightly. He quickly brought a finger to his lips, signaling for you to be quiet which had you giving him a confused look. As far as you knew, he lived alone, and neither of you had been especially considerate of the neighbours before. He lowered his finger and motioned for you to come in, which you did. He shut the door behind you, taking great care to be as quiet as possible before engulfing your hand with his and walking you to his room.
"Okay, what was that about? You get a noise complaint?" You questioned as soon as his bedroom door was shut.
"I've got a... roomate, type, thing. It's not important." He dismissed, shaking his head slightly as he approached you. His arms wrapped around your body in such a familiar way that the movement alone triggered your own muscle memory as you brought your arms over his shoulders without even thinking about it until your lips met his. He wasted no time in deepening the kiss, pressing harder against you, moving his soft lips against yours with an undeniable desire as his tongue pressed against yours.
It felt good for this to be so familiar. You had a few... escapades... while at university studying for a masters degree, but they were always rather brief and unexciting. Aki knew your body, and you knew his and it just felt right.
Without breaking the kiss, he guided you towards his bed until you felt his mattress at the back of your legs. His hands travelled down your body, running over your hips until he hooked his fingers under the waistband of the comfortable sweatpants you had on, pulling them down to expose your bare cunt.
He pulled away from your lips, glancing down to confirm what he thought to be true before returning his gaze to yours with a teasing smirk plastered across his lips. "Didn't even stop to put on underwear, huh? You must have missed me." His voice was so full of confidence, you wanted to roll your eyes or scoffed but honestly, he was right.
"I've been thinking about this all day." You said unabashedly, closing the small space between you as you planted soft kisses on his neck. Your words went straight to his cock as he hardened in the confinement of his trousers. Your body jolted instinctively when you felt a warm hand at your folds, two fingers pushing inside of you as his thumb circled your clit. "Aki," You breathed desperatley against his neck, physically unable to continue kissing him as waves of pleasure coursed through your body.
He leaned down to kiss your neck as he continued to skillfully work you until he had you grinding against his touch for more. You moved your neck however he dictated, leaving a trail of saliva in his path as he sucked on areas that forced moans out of your throat.
"Shh," He cooed quietly, bringing his lips up to tease against yours as the tips of your noses brushed against each other "look at me." His voice was deep and low, you wanted nothing more than to obey his every command so of course, you lifted your lidded gaze to meet his as he attempted to burn the sight of your flushed cheeks and swollen lips into his brain. "Tell me what you want."
"I- I wanna cum." You whined as another moan forced its way past your lips as his thumb pressed harder, focusing on the needy bundle of nerves while his two fingers curled deliciously inside of you until your legs began shaking. "F-fuck, Aki, ah~" Your voice was shaky as you felt the familiarity of the tension that built up just before the release, but just as you were about to come undone the friction of his hand was gone, the space taken up by his fingers was now empty. "Aki!" You whined frustratedly, pushing on his chest to convey your annoyance, not that it did anything to push him away.
Your cheeks somehow flushed an even darker red as you watched him lift his two glistening fingers to his mouth, sucking every last drop of your juices off of his digits whilst he maintained an intense eye contact with you.
"You taste so sweet, gorgeous." He smiled, resting his hands on your waist as he guided you to sit on the edge of his mattress as he positioned himself on his knees in front of you. He slid his hands down to your thighs, pushing your legs apart gently to look directly at your pretty, soaked cunt.
He couldn't stop a low moan from vibrating against your sensitive skin as sunk his tongue into you. Your eyes rolled shut as your head fell back at the feeling of his warm tongue burying inside of your. You moved your hands to his head, releasing his locks from the hair tye he had it in, allowing you to run your fingers through the full length of his hair.
A faint clinking sound could be heard and you assumed it was Aki taking off his belt to pull his trousers down. Shortly after that, he brought one of his hands up to pull your folds further apart, fully exposing your throbbing clit. His tongue was quickly replaced by two of his fingers, a gasp rushing out of your lungs when you felt him gently sucking on your clit, the pressure it created was intense and you could feel Aki smiling at your reaction.
"P-please, Aki, 'm gonna-" You could barely get your words out as he relentlessly worked your clit, arching his fingers inside of you to press against that soft spot he knew all too well. You could feel the coil inside of your stomach tightening and tightening, your muscles flexing achingly until finally it snapped. Your squeezed his head between your thighs as your walls tightened around his fingers. Mercilessly, he continued to suck against your overstimulated clit as you rode out your high against his tongue.
"I'll never forget how pretty you look when you cum." He smirked after managing to drag his lips away from your core, an erotic sheen smeared on his lips and chin.
"W-what about you?" You questioned, trying to sound confident but your voice sounded shaky, before he could say anything about it you outstretched your leg to place between his, rubbing against his throbbing erection with the top of your foot. You felt him grind against you at the unexpected contact which made you smile victoriously. "Awh, you're like a dog, can't help but move against my foot, huh? Sweet thing." You teased him.
Judging by the look in his eyes you knew you had fucked up. He lifted himself off of the floor, leaning in to give you a forceful kiss as his tongue coated yours. You could taste yourself on his lips, but he was quick to use his hands and body to force you further onto the bed and crawl on top of you.
His warm hand slid under your top, his fingertips gliding against your skin as he made his way up to give your tits a firm squeeze. You let out a small whine that was lost in his mouth when you felt him pinch your nipples between his pointer and middle finger. His lips curled into a smile against yours at your reaction, by now he knew exactly how to illicit all sorts of noises from you.
"Aki, please, I need you." You begged against his lips before kissing him gently.
"Need me to what?" He breathed in little more than a whisper, his warm breath hitting against your lips as he looked at you with a lustful, lidded gaze.
"Need you t'fuck me, please." You whined under him, he kissed you again, pressing his body against yours as he brushed over your nipple with his thumb.
"I'll never get tired of hearing you beg for me " His voice was low and hungry, laced with slight amusement as a feigned chuckle slipped its way through. Your gaze was brought downwards as he lowered his pants, his erection springing free from its confinement. Instinctively, you parted your legs a little wider for him, his hand stroking his base a few times before he refocused his eyes on you. "Such a good girl," He cooed, pressing his tip against your folds and rubbing it across your length "tell me how fucking lucky I am." His tip sliding teasingly across your clit every now and then was turning your brain to mush, all you wanted was to feel him inside of you, every thrust, every twitch, fuck you wanted all of him and you'd do and say just about whatever it took to get it.
"You're so fucking lucky you get to fuck me." You said, looking up into his eyes as you said it. A content smile appeared on his face as he stared back at you.
"Yeah, I am." He whispered just as he pushed himself inside of you, making sure to memorise the way your mouth fell open to let out a small gasp and the way your eyes closed while your head tilted back slightly. "Fuck," his voice trembled as he buried himself in your slick walls "you feel so good." He began to thrust in and out of you, the wet sounds of skin hitting skin filling the room and leaking beyond the thin walls, although neither of you seemed to care at this point.
"Waited for this for- ah, so fucking long," You moan as you feel his tip hitting that spongy soft spot deep inside of you.
"Yeah? You miss being fucked by me, beautiful?" He teased, keeping a steady rhythm as he continued to play with your nipples, seemingly on a mission to get you as overstimulated as possible. You mewled a pathetic response to him as you felt yourself reached your high once again. "I missed your pussy, too." He panted, approaching his own climax as his thrusts became more sloppy and desperate. "You want me to cum in this pretty little pussy?"
"Y-yeah," Was about all you could whine before your release, your walls tightening around his cock which choked a deliciously pleasurable groan out of Aki as he forced himself as deep inside you as possible, a mix of both of your juices leaking out of you as you felt him twitching uncontrollably inside of you. In the heat of the moment you hadn't even noticed how Aki slid his hand into yours, lacing your fingers together tenderly.
His body was shaking slightly as he used all his strength to not completely collapse on top of you. "It's okay, you can lean on me." You reassured him, your breath grazing the side of his neck as he hung his head over your shoulder. Your chest rose and fell as you breathed deeply, trying to recatch your breath while running your free hand through his loose black hair. He quickly gave up trying to keep himself off of you, his clothed chest now pressed against your bare one, your tank top having been rolled above your tits.
His body weight felt was slightly crushing for a second, but once you adjusted it felt comfortable. He embraced you intimately as he softened inside of you, moments like this stirred a longing feeling in your chest. You were fine being friends with benefits, honestly, it probably made more sense since you were studying at a university outside of Tokyo. But... This felt so right. It never felt like this with anyone else, and a small part of you hoped he felt the same.
A creaking of the floorboards from outside Akis room pulled you out of your thoughts, you both lifted your heads in unison, only now noticing that the door was now cracked opened.
"Denji you fucking pervert, you better not have been watching us!" Aki shouted as he lifted himself off of you, pulling up his pants and racing over to the door to peer outside. You gave a slightly amused chuckle at his reaction, sitting up to put your own trousers back on.
"Your roommate-type-thing, I assume?" You asked after he had shut the door and turned back to face you.
"Yeah, sorry he's such an- are you leaving?" He asked, the thinly veiled disappointment in his voice made your chest clench.
"Well, yeah, we're done... Aren't we?" You replied, as if you were asking something obvious. This was what you two had agreed to, after all. Time seemed to stop for a moment as you waited in silence for his response, if he asked you to stay, you would. You hoped he would.
"Uh, sure, I guess so." He said quietly with a sigh, reflexivly walking over to his bedside table to pull out a pack of cigarettes. If he wanted you to stay, he would have asked, so perhaps he didn't.
"You're still smoking?" You huffed. It was something you brought up almost every time you saw him.
"I have a stressful job." He replied, bringing a lighter up to the end of the cigarette, you let out your own disappointed sigh as you stood up.
"Well, at least kiss me goodbye before you light it, they taste disgusting." You bartered. He looked up at you as you walked over to lean above him, he plucked the cigarette out of his mouth, holding it delicately between two fingers before reaching up and placing a bitter sweet kiss on your lips. It lasted longer than any old goodbye kiss, as if this was your way of telling him without words that you wanted to stay, or his way of telling you he didn't want you to go.
However, when you finally pulled away from him and looked at his perfect face, the corners of your lips pulled into a sad smile. "Bye, pretty boy. I'll text you when I'm back in Tokyo so we can do this again," You said while walking towards his door, placing your hand on the metal handle "unless you get a girlfriend by then." You added on in a jokey tone, although it was a very real possibility, the thought of it made a flurry of jealousy swirl inside of you, but his response was reassuring.
"Yeah, right," He scoffed in bitter amusement, finally lighting his cigarette "text me when you get home so I know you're safe, okay?" He ordered, exhaling the puff of smoke above his head.
"Will do, see ya!" You said cheerfully as you gave him a small wave before shutting his bedroom door behind you. Once closed, you let out a big sigh, staring at the wall in front of you as you considered your situationship with Aki.
"So, are you Akis girlfriend?" An unfamiliar voice startled you from the darkness, but it was certainly more curious than menacing. When you turned your head to see where it came from you noticed the body that the voice belonged to looked a bit younger than you two. No doubt this was the 'roommate-type-thing'.
"You must be the peeping tom, Denji." You joked, the polite smile on your face contradicting your teasing words as he blushed at your accusation and stuttered over his defence.

screws loose (kishibe x gn!reader)
Tumblr media
You’ve lasted 4 years in the Devil Hunting business, and that time was long enough for Kishibe and yourself to come to terms with your nonchalant feelings towards eachother.
Word Count: 3957
Warnings: Kishibe (lmfao 💀), smoking, alcohol, describing violence and fighting, slight gore (??), dead body, language slightly, kind of OOC but that’s also kind of the point idk man, kissing, weird but comfortable tension
Tumblr media
Admittedly, you didn’t hate your job. You couldn’t.
For the most part, working as a Devil Hunter wasn’t terrible: Sure, yeah, the whole death at every corner thing was a major blow, but you didn’t mind the pay, or the people you met along the way. Sure they were short lived, but it was fine.
You could deal with it, if they died they died. If you died you died, at that point it didn't matter if you got paid - and hey, if you lived, a hefty penny was sent your way.
You could deal with the idea of death, with the idea of devils lurking every corner, your coworkers being so bittersweet and temporary.
Though, for some particular reason, for every person that died in your vicinity, it only solidified the one constant thing in your life: Kishibe, your partner.
Only Makima knows why you would get partnered with the grizzled alcoholic, but it didn't matter - he was solidified in your life the moment you were paired together at the beginning of your career as a devil hunter.
Kishibe was the one thing that never changed - alcoholic, unashamed, calm, and blunt. Even if every person around you dropped dead, even if you watched every rookie get brutally murdered by some low life devil, even if you yourself played your cards a little too wildly and didn't know if you'd come home that day - it seemed you'd always end the day parting ways with him.
The roughed up blonde wasn’t a bad person per say, he’s generally relaxed and polite, when speaking it’s obvious he has years of experience under his belt. His lack of emotion in his day to day work mildly pissed you off, but you two meant a lot to each other - you just didn’t know it.
Though most days you’d claim he went out of his way to piss you off, and that you swore you hated the man - you were mostly lying to yourself.
"This is a matter that needs to be resolved quite quickly, but also carefully. We cannot risk hitting heads with any private civilians at this time." Despite the pressure at hand, and the severity of the situation, Makimas voice was soft, and careful.
Her hands were clasped tightly on her desk, eyes barely blinked, scanning yourself for any signs of emotion. Even after working for Public Safety for 4 years now, Makima made you incredibly uneasy. The longer you found yourself alive and working here, the more often you'd be in Makimas office, you found yourself memorising her office - the lack of decorations and very subtle touches of herself.
Makima took your silence as understanding, and continued, "(Y/N), I hope you would know where your partner is? He was supposed to join us."
Of course she'd ask that. Technically - no, you didn't know where Kishibe was, but you'd take a guess. It was common for him to leave you to all the office and paperwork stuff, so he could fuck off somewhere with a bottle of booze in hand and show up later. He did it because he knew that you would handle yourself, and that he wouldn't really be reprimanded.
Simply nodding, you stood up and quickly fixed your blazer and wiped your wrinkled pants down, "I could probably guess. Don't worry about it, Makima, I can relay the information."
All she did was smile, nodding and following suit. Walking around her desk and at your side as you both walked towards the door. As she saw you out, she handed you the file, “I expect this to be taken care of before Friday, and next time, make sure Kishibe joins us.”
Nodding, you smiled and walked out, her office door closing behind you. The second you heard the click, your smile dropped, body moving down the hallway, and to the stairs. Slugging down the stairs, flipped through the file, internally cringing at the prospect of explaining the mission to Kishibe.
Once out of the building, you slouched against one of the concrete walls. The sun was almost completely gone, the night sky being illuminated by the light pollution from the city, you breathed in the crisp air. Even at night, the city was still so busy - cars driving by, people in and out of store fronts and restaurants, the noise of traffic filled the air.
It all seemed so simple, yet here you are.
The next day was rough. Getting up later than you would typically wish, it wasn’t really your style to be late, you had 20 minutes until Kishibe would pick you up so you two could deal with the problem Makima was up in arms over. Scrambling around your apartment, you tried your best to get ready in record time.
The front door knob jiggled and eventually opened, Kishibe just letting himself in - normally any other person doing this would warrant you probably killing them, and well this certainly added to the list of things Kishibe did that pissed you off, you let it be, walking right past him into your bedroom to grab your blazer.
“Ready yet?” Kishibe calmly asked, watching you scramble to slide the blazer on, all while scanning the living room for your watch.
“Yeah one sec.” Trailing off to find it, Kishibe shifted into your kitchen, rummaging through your liquor cabinet to fill up his flask . Again, another thing to add to the list, but you certainly couldn’t be bothered.
Finishing up, the pair of you headed out the door and down to his car. Kishibe had the grace to drive you basically everywhere, after 4 years it was basically his love language to say, ‘Hey I don’t hate you’, just as you let him raid your liquor cabinet as he pleases.
As both of you hopped into his car, he leaned over to pop open the glove box, pulling out two brand new cigarette boxes.
Handing you one, you smiled, “Thanks, you didn’t have to.” Kishibe didn’t say anything back. He didn’t mind. Though both of you knew you’d end up sharing a cigarette anyways.
The drive wasn’t too long; you gave Kishibe a brief overview of the situation, explaining the devil and the precautions you’d have to take to not interfere with the private sector's work.
Honestly you doubted he listened, but it was your job, so you explained anyway, “The devil has just recently appeared, he seems rather weak, it’s just he’s awfully clever. Private hunters attempted to kill it two days ago, and they’re going to try again tomorrow, so we better deal with it today.”
“Or else Makima gets pissed.” Kishibe scoffed, flicking his cigarette out of the window. The drive continued in silence.
The two of you stood on the sidewalk of a, almost, dead city street, everything was grey it seemed. Modern architecture sucked. Gazing up at the building the Public Safety Devil Hunters got a report about, it was an older office building.
The pair of you walked in, silence basking yourself and the lobby of the building. Nothing felt wrong - not yet at least - there was no signs of any disturbance in recent years. Dust was everywhere, on every surface and in the air. The wooden floors creaked with every step, you found yourself turning to the back of the receptionist desk, looking at the reminders of the past.
“When I was a kid, my dream job was actually being a receptionist.” You stated, smiling at the loose notepads and office supplies. Kishibe’s brows knitted together in confusion, you continued, “Sitting on your ass all day and writing paperwork for a decent paycheck? It sounded appealing. Then I did it while in college.”
“Didn’t work out?” Kishibe humoured you. He always did, he loved your rambling. Rounding back around the desk, the two of you turned the corner to wander down a main hallway.
The hallway was long, and dark, dust particles visible as they floated in the rays of sunlight peering through the few windows - most of which were boarded up. Despite the status as being abandoned, the halls were decently clean.
You scoffed, scanning the hallway and peering into each door you passed. “It was okay work. Money wasn't bad. I just didn’t find any thrill in doing paperwork.”
“From paperwork to devil hunting. Huh.” Kishibe chuckled, rolling your eyes as you shoved him a little.
Laughing, you continued, “You can’t act like my job now isn’t still 75% paperwork, because someone doesn’t wanna do their job.”
Kishibe let a smirk pull through, he couldn’t help that your laugh was rather contagious. It was a rather mundane and meaningless conversation, but he didn’t mind. It wasn’t often devil hunters got to have a normal conversation.
As Kishibe pondered his comeback to your comment, you both stopped dead in your tracks, feeling a presence weight on both of you. Your hand met your waist, grabbing at your weapon and holding it firmly, Kishibe doing the same.
Peering into the room you had stopped in front of, you were quick to spot a body laying in the centre of the room. It was a woman, from what you knew most likely a private devil hunter, though she was dressed in the same attire as both yourself and Kishibe.
Looking around the room for an enemy, you stepped closer to the woman. Her body was almost completely devoid of all moisture; face was ashy, lips chapped and cracking painfully, eyeballs shrivelled and almost nonexistent. Her hair was crisp, thin, and looked like it was missing in chunks.
Littered with bruises, cuts and scratches, she didn’t go down without a fight. Furrowing your brows in confusion, ‘Where is the devil, then?’ Kishibe shared your mental sentiment with his body language, staying almost completely still whilst peering around the room.
After a few moments, you felt that feeling go away. This was definitely the work of a devil, but it seemed unlikely that the devil was still here with you right now. A hand placed itself upon your shoulder, you sighed, turning to face Kishibe and hopelessly continue the survey of the building.
That wasn’t Kishibe.
Almost immediately upon turning around and coming face-to-face with some grotesque devil, you were slammed across the room, back hitting hard against the wall. The devil let out a rather annoyed giggle, trying it’s best to contain its laughter.
That shit hurt, you probably knocked through at least 5 desks, and you scrambled up out of the dent that your body had made into the wall. Kishibe hadn’t even attempted to check on you, immediately making work of fighting the devil - he knew you were fine.
It wasn’t hard for Kishibe and yourself to get into a flow while in battle, once you picked yourself up, you joined in. Kishibe and yourself taking turns at attacking the enemy, confusing it, as it didn’t know who to hit at. You both dodged its attacks, as they were rather repetitive.
You took your own turns at chopping some of the limbs of the devil off. The devil shrieked, frustrated that it was loosing this battle so quickly. It hastily picked up office furniture and flung it around, hoping it hit one of you.
Before you knew it, Kishibe grunted rather loudly, snapping your head you watch him fall down.
Shit. He got hit.
Kishibe dragged himself backwards, trying to get out of line of the devil momentarily. Panicking, you grabbed ahold of the devil and flung yourself on top of it, the devil twisted and turned, trying to throw you off as it’s now stubby limbs attempted to regenerate.
Kishibe grunted out your name, probably trying to get you to get off of the thing, but you didn’t listen, shamelessly taking hits and hitting the devil back. The devil shrieked again, very loudly, as you stabbed it in the eye with a piece of metal.
It fell to the ground as you pierced it, pushing and digging the piece deeper and deeper into the devil. It went limp, and you tumbled off of it. It was dead.
Scrambling to get up, you slugged your body towards Kishibe. He was fine, a deep cut on his arm was the worst of his injuries, the rest were a few cuts, though he would definitely be waking up with a hefty bruise on his back tomorrow, as would you.
“That was stupid of you.” He commented, accepting your hand as you pulled him off the floor. Shrugging, you lead him out of the now destroyed room. A comfortable silence is present among you two as you make your way backwards, back down the hall and eventually out of the building.
God, even after you basically saved his ass, he still irritates you sometimes.
Though sure, Kishibe never failed to piss you off with his attitude and lack of communication, in all honesty, you didn’t hate him. A rather low bar certainly, but it was remarkable. Even after 4 years, and him getting on your nerves like no one before, you didn’t mind his presence. Not just as a partner, but as a person.
Maybe it was you being content with your situation, you found yourself not minding his company. Sure he did a lot that made your head spin, but you thrived off of the little things; When you two would finish a job and get dinner after, or when you’d take turns taking swigs from his flask after a particularly irritating meeting with Makima, or when he’d listen to your ramblings about something that pissed you off at work giving rather blunt comments, taking drags from a cigarette you shared.
The past 4 years together, it wasn’t bad, honestly.
Maybe you could admit you liked Kishibe as a person. For one thing, he was definitely attractive; an older, grizzled man who had some years under his belt. And for another, his personality, albeit somewhat difficult, was rather endearing, especially when you stayed around longer than he expected, and especially when he realised you weren’t going anywhere.
Kishibe liked you too, in his own ass-backwards way - well you assumed.
"Don't make me think I wasted my time training you." The grizzled man said, taking a chug of his silver flask.
The sky was dim, oranges and pinks painting the west sky, a cascading light shifted the darkness and shadows of the buildings and street lights - the sun was setting.
The two of you had made your way to Kishibes car, calling Makima and alerting her to the elimination of the devil. Rummaging through his glove box, you pulled out a bandage to apply to Kishibes mild wound. It would do for now, you knew he wouldn’t go to the doctor until tomorrow morning.
You shrugged, rolling up his sleeve, beginning to wrap his wound, "I think at this point l've proved myself. If anything I’m starting to wonder if whoever trained you failed.”
The blonde chuckled, letting you finish the quick dressing of the cut, pulling away as you finished, screwing the lid of his flask shut tight, shoving it in his coat pocket, “How so?”
“Maybe how you never showed up to our summons to Makima? You didn’t even know why we came here.” You argued, pulling out a cigarette from your coat pocket and lighting it. Kishibe smirked slightly - he was the one who got you to start smoking, you even smoked the same brand as him.
Kishibe sighed, looking around carelessly, he honestly was surprised that you were still so serious about the job. Maybe he had worked here too long, “No, but you did, I can always count on you.”
For a split moment, you caught each other's eyes, you’d maybe even be tricked into believing he meant that. Breaking the contact, you scoffed, wiping blood off of your weapon. Kishibe leaned against his car, plucking the cigarette from your mouth and into his, taking a long drag.
You could feel him staring, wondering what could be going on in that head of his. The cigarette met your mouth again, looking up, the man was merely inches from your face, intently staring at you. “I figured it out.”
Scrunching your face and furrowing your brows, you scoffed again at the blonde, “Oh? Another drunk prophecy?”
Kishibe sighed, pulling back away from you and assuming his position leaning against his car, his eyes stared up at the sky, “You didn’t have any screws loose when I met you. I thought you’d make it a few months tops.”
“That’s awful. Thank you, I guess.” Kishibe chuckled at your response. Shuffling over to him, you assumed a position leaning against the car next to him, your bodies touched as you both stared off into the sky. His warmth was comforting, you didn’t get a lot of that in this business.
“Yeah. But you’ve stuck around. It’s been 4 years and 5 months.” Kishibe kept count, in fact, to the month. You didn’t take him too much as the sentimental type, you figured he was rather nonchalant about whether or not you stayed around - at least that’s how he typically acted. Sure he had his moments of kindness, they weren’t stereotypical, but you figured it just meant he was being civil as a co-worker.
Your silence enabled him to continue, “The devil hunters with a few screws loose stick around the longest, because devils are scared of them. But you? I didn’t really get it, to be honest.”
The sun was completely gone now, pinks and oranges had faded into the night sky. Though for the night sky, it wasn’t very dark, and you couldn’t see many stars - despite it being clear. That was the downside of being in Tokyo.
The air was crisp, and cold, you almost wanted Kishibe to take you in his arms, his warmth was tempting. The temperature always dropped this time of year, you hated it.
Kishibes point still wasn’t being made, it’s not like he had a near death experience, so you were perplexed by the sudden admission of empathy he was expressing. Maybe he just finally let the bowl overfill.
“I’m not crazy enough for you?” His eyes rolled at your comment, but he stayed silent for a moment. The air between the two of you was slightly thick, his every word was out of character and unpredictable.
Kishibe turned to you, grabbed the cigarette from your lips once again, putting them to his and taking a drag, the smoke flowing from his nostrils. “I figured it out though. You have a screw loose.”
Again, he was right up at your face, inches away. His every feature on display for you to see, his eyes were blank despite his words, the scent of alcohol filled your nose.
“Yeah? What is it?” Shakily you breathed out, heart racing at the sudden lack of space between you two. He could see it written on your face, how much this made you nervous, how you wanted this to last - you basked in the feeling and in the moment.
Flicking the cigarette aside, he continued to look down at you - it seemed he was doing the same, taking in your features. “You like me.”
It wouldn’t be far off to say your heart made a terrible halt, you honestly probably had a slight heart attack. “I mean you’re my co-worker, I kind of have to-“
“No. You like me. You find me endearing, like being around me. That’s your screw that’s loose.” Kishibe stated rather bored, his eyes scanning your face for any sign of a reaction, your silence bothered him, “Am I wrong?”
“No.”
Within a moment of uttering that, he leaned in, grabbing your jaw and pulling you further into him, finding warmth as your lips touched. Your soft lips moved effortlessly against his rather rough ones, his hand wandered from your jaw to the back of your head, the other hand at your waist, pulling your body as close to his as he could.
The warmth of your bodies combined, his rough, large hands kneaded at your waist. Soft moans were pulled from your throat as he pushed into you, your back was harshly pushed against the cold metal of his car.
The kiss was rough, it was hasty, it was sloppy. Despite this, you enjoyed every second of it. It was like you both waited your entire lives for this moment, but now that you had it, you were both utterly unsure if you’d ever have the chance again.
Placing your hands on either wait of his face, you pulled away, gasping slightly for air. His hands are still positioned at your side and the nape of your neck, caging you against the car. Once again, you two found yourselves taking in each other's features.
A part of you was still shaken from the sudden admission from Kishibe, while he didn’t admit he also felt the same, his actions spoke volumes - the other part of you was heavy, you wondered if he did this just cause he’s drunk or still riding off the adrenaline of the fight.
Kishibe could see the look in your eyes, he could practically read your mind. His grip on you loosened slightly as he sighed, nodding to himself. Letting go, he rounded to the driver's side of the car and opened the door, “Let’s get you home.”
You sighed at his statement. Nodding and rounding around to the passengers side, slipping into the seat and shutting the door. The ride was silent, there wasn’t really much tension, the both of you just seemed to be in thought.
Kishibe kissed you. And yes, you kissed him back.
Over 4 years ago you were paired with the veteran devil hunter by seemingly luck. Makima claimed she believed you two would benefit from being around each other. Whatever that meant to her, it was true.
The first year or two was tough. Kishibe was thoroughly under the impression that you would kick rocks eventually, whether you’d quit or die a meaningless death. Too stuck up, too complacent with the rules, he believed your lack of purpose and drive would surely lead you to your death.
For a while, maybe he was right.
But four years later, he stood corrected. Recently, you had reflected a lot on the past four years; You remembered the first time he realised you were sticking around, the first time you made him laugh, your first cigarette, the first time you and him got drunk, you remembered it all.
Fuck. You really did like the guy.
Pulling into the parking lot of your apartment complex, Kishibe didn’t say a word. Honestly, you didn’t know what could be going on in that head of his, maybe he regretted kissing you entirely.
But fuck, you didn’t regret kissing him back.
As a devil hunter, any day could be your last. It was one of the many cons of the job. Sometimes you ended a day surprised you even were able to make it back to your bed. So fuck it, “Hey it’s not too late, so you wanna get dinner?”
Kishibe looked at you with a rather unreadable expression, his hands still gripping the steering wheel, “You sure?”
Asking him to continue the night, it meant you were okay with what happened. You could just go inside now and forget today even happened, only speaking of today when telling Makima that the mission went successfully. The two of you would see each other tomorrow and nonchalantly discuss meaningless work things throughout the day - acting, pretending like something didn’t happen between you two.
That sounded miserable.
“Yeah,” You said, smiling at Kishibe, “Maybe you can pull another screw loose for me.”

Angel Devil x Reader
aliusworld's songfic event- inspo: MANNEQUIN album (Deco*27)
[Description: "Hey, if you love me, please notice, let me dream— Why can't you understand? I hate you!", "I loved the bad parts too, everything was fine.", & "I was stupid to believe I was all you need."]
What’s to come: You and the Angel Devil are in quite the parasitic relationship, literally. Like physically.
[1989 words]
•••|•••|•••|•••|•••
You lay in bed next to Angel, he hasn't moved an inch since coming back to your place. You suppose that he's just tired, but the two of you haven't had a single good interaction together in what felt like weeks. You wanted to cry out and say something... but at the same time, you didn't want to break the silence the two of you were in.
You shouldn't always have to be the person who starts the conversation, but at the same time you knew nothing would happen if you didn't make the first move. Angel meant everything to you and you wanted a real relationship with him, but right now it feels like you were mothering him. Mothering or smothering him, you couldn't tell if he cared or not.
You take a deep breath in before you start talking, "Are you okay, Angel?"
No response.
"Angel?" You turn over, looking down on him, "Why aren't you talking to me? Did I do something wrong?" His eyes turn towards you before getting up.
"No, you didn't do anything." He sighed out, pulling a pillow over his head, "Now leave me alone."
"Well you can't keep ignoring me! We live together for fucks sake!" You whine, letting a curse word slip your mouth, "If you hate me so much you can leave! I let you live here for absolutely nothing, the least you can do is humor me every now and again. Is that really too much to ask for?"
"I live here because we're partners and Makima is forcing me to." Angel groans out, flipping around, stomach first on the bed. The pillow over his head now under his face.
"I just don't understand why you wont talk to me... I'm sorry, I know you're an introvert but you could at least-"
"Yada yada... whatever, I don't have empathy. I'm a devil, not a human. I thought you would've understood this by now."
"Well I guess it's my fault for thinking you cared about me!"
"Yeah, it kind of is!"
"Why are you doing this to me?"
"I'm quite literally doing nothing. Humans and their emotions... how annoying." He complained under his breath, sitting up to face you, "But whatever. It's fine. I've lived long enough, and it sounds like you have a lot of pent up emotion. So go ahead I guess."
"Ugh! If you really insist." You ball your hand into a fist and put it in your lap, "I feed you, I wash your clothes, I pay the rent, you sleep in my bed, you leave crumbs everywhere, and you use up all the hot water!"
"Is that it? I kind of expected more."
''And the worst part is... is that I love you. I think you're the prettiest person- thing that I've ever seen! And I want you to know that. That if you don't like me back, just tell me so I don't just wander into a big dark hole of nothingness! But you don't do anything, you do nothing!! I hate you!'' but you didn't actually say that out loud. "Yeah. That's it. If I said anything else I might have to kill you!"
"So now you're really treating me like a devil, huh?"
"That's not what I meant and you know it! Well maybe you don't..? It was more of a sarcastic comment, I guess." You sigh out, rubbing the crook of your eyes with your left hand.
"Well... if that's all you needed to let out, then I think that..." Angel didn't finish his sentence before he fell over sideways, eyes growing duller than they usually were.
"A-Angel??! Are you alright?" You gasp out, sweating as you lunge over to see what happened.
Earlier during the day, you and Angel had an encounter with a large devil. You couldn't quite recall the same of it since the paperwork wasn't something you had to deal with, but what you did remember was the damage it caused. It landed devastating blows to everyone that was sent out in the mission, including you and Angel. However, you remember specifically not seeing Angel during your check up at the hospital.
Could it be that he was injured and never got any healing done?
"I guess it was strange that your face was paler than usual.." You bite your lip as you shift your body to take a good full look at him. "I'm really sorry for this." You unbutton the cardigan and lift up the plain white shirt he was wearing underneath he was wearing to reveal a bloody, bandaged torso. You gasp at what you saw beneath you. "Shit, you're bleeding all over the place! And you thought you could get away with it? Are you fucking kidding me?? Over my newly washed bed sheets, c'mon man!" You sigh as you pull the bedsheets away from him.
"Stay here, don't move. Not like you can anyway..." You mumble the last bit to yourself as you get up to grab the spare medkit you had laying around somewhere in your apartment. Finding it inside one of the cupboards above your stove, you quickly lay down the materials next to his body. "Okay, this is going to burn. Bare with me now..."
You wince for Angel as you dab his wounds with an alcohol infused cotton ball. You watched as his body twitched from the pain. You repeatedly apologize under your breath as you continue to clean his wounds, wiping away the blood in the process. No matter what you did, however, the blood just wouldn't stop spilling out of his body. As a devil hunter, you've grown used to the site of blood, but this time, the blood that came out of the Angel Devil made you feel nauseous.
That's when it hit you.
Devil.
Angel's a devil! You had this conversation with him only a few minutes ago, how could you have forgotten? Grabbing one of the sharp objects from the medical supplies you spread out across the bed, you hesitantly sliced the palm of your hand and brought it towards Angel's mouth. The metal scent of your blood carried through the air, and as it got closer, Angel's lips began to spread apart. You watch as your blood slowly drips down from your hand into Angel's mouth.
After he ingests your blood, his once dull eyes become slightly more colorful. Still, his body didn't move an inch. He continues to feed from your blood as you stare at his stomach, watching the skin around the gash magically patch itself back together. Once you couldn't see a single bruise, you pull your hand back to you.
"Wait" Angel says weakly, his hand desperately trying to reach you, "I still need more."
"What do you mean 'more'? You aren't bleeding anymore." You question, your non-bloodied hand rummaging through the sheets to find the bandages you misplaced.
"Just because I'm not bleeding externally doesn't mean that I'm not still bleeding internally. I still need more... my insides feel like they're going to burst." Angel fakes a cry, his hand reaching your clothed arm. You flinch at his touch before simmering down, you didn't want to lose your lifespan after all.
"I- I guess that's a good point." You agree, pulling out your hand above his mouth again, using your other to squeeze out more of your blood into his mouth.
Angel nonchalantly sticks out his tongue, yearning for when he could taste your blood would land on his taste buds. You don't think you've ever seen him enjoy something so much besides maybe ice cream. He closed his eyes in bliss and you swear you saw his mouth twitch into a smile for a split second.
You stayed there for a few more minutes until Angel said he had enough.
"Well, I'm glad you're okay now." You say as Angel gets up from his comfortable position, "But you shouldn't ever try to hide something like that again! It really scared me when you fell over and died for a second! And also I guess I'm sorry for shouting at you while you were down."
"It's fine." Angel murmurs, rubbing his eyes, "Whenever I'm hurt, I'll come to you."
"Ahaha..." You laugh softly, watching as Angel leaves the room to, "Wait- what??"
After that day, Angel has been a lot closer to you. In fact, he hasn't left your side while on patrol, ever. And when the two of you are in battle, he always does his best to protect you. When the two of you are apart from each other, it's usually him in the face of danger. Which is incredibly strange because he would have never done that before. Maybe he's finally grown to like you.
Just like he said, whenever he's hurt, he would directly contact you. Never to the hospital like you. Always begging for another taste of your blood, it became almost a daily habit. Not to mention, he's picky. He's picky with your blood..? He wants it straight from the source, every time you tried to bottle it he would whine and complain about you 'contaminating' it.
Now your arms, and legs, are covered in scars from many different blades. Which you have grown insecure about, but Angel kept assuring you no one would care. As you grew more and more insecure, Angel got a lot more confident towards you. Even going as far as to try and gnaw on your skin every so often. Which you quickly pull away from before you lose any more years of your life.
Lately, you have been feeling light headed. Probably due to the fact that Angel's been taking your blood every day for the past month and a half. You don't seem to ever want to get out of bed, and you feel like all you've been doing is rotting away. You've used up all your vacation days with Public Safety, but you still didn't budge.
Sooner or later you'd be terminated, but your body still wouldn't move. Angel came to visit you everyday until one day he stopped showing up. And without him, you felt like you had nothing to live for. So deeper down into your depression you went. You assumed that you had gotten terminated and that Makima set him up with a new partner.
Days would pass before all the cuts on your body had fully healed, and days had gone by before you weren't sore anymore. You had to get out of bed now. You hadn't paid your rent in months, you'd definitely be evicted soon, and without a home you'd be nothing.
You put on the cleanest thing you could find and went outside. Has the sun gotten brighter?
On your stroll to the supermarket, you had an unfamiliar encounter with another devil. You hadn't seen one in such a long time, you honestly forgot what to do in the heat of the moment. Millions of thoughts ran in your head: you had no weapon, maybe you could use the purse you were using? The contracts you had... you hadn't used them in a long time, and you didn't have much to give anymore...
Before you could make a viable move, a large part of a building was swung your way. You covered your head, but you didn't feel anything. You looked above you to see your protector... an angel.
"Ouch..." He winced, the large greatsword he was placed creating a wedge between you and the large debris. He held out a gloved hand with a blank expression on his face. "Aki is going to take care of everything. And you owe me."
You smile as you take his hand. Running out from the fight zone, you hand intertwined with his, you felt happy for the first time in a while.
"So- ah, what do you want from me as repayment?"
"Your blood."
"...again?"

Aki | your gamer bf
Today you cried. You cried in your lunch break, you cried in the driveway. And here you sat crying at your desk now. You didn’t tell him about the other two times but but immediately he went to his knee to listen to you express what you were feeling.
He listens to everything you say and kisses you, comforts you and validates your emotions. He tells you how proud of you he is. And then…
He hugs you tight, your head falling just under his chin as you breathe into his chest. You pull away and kiss him with your puffy wet lips, he holds you tighter as he tastes the tears on your mouth. Your sorrows dissipate, making room for desire. You kiss him harder, a little hungrier. He tilts your chin up to him and holds you, deep night sky eyes looking into yours
He reaches behind you and picks up your controller. Handing it to you he says, “bet you can’t beat my score.” You blink lazily still swooning from the kiss.
He plants a kiss to the top of your head and tugs you back to your spot in the chair.
It gets steamy from here, turn away now while you still can. 😉
He settles in front of you on his knees and backs under the desk. He drags the chair closer to him and reaches under your plaited skirt. He tugs your thong down your legs and spreads them open. He cups his hands around your thighs and pulls you to the edge of the chair.
He kisses your thighs and caresses your calves with his warm hands.
“I won’t taste you until you press start.”
You start playing with every intention of beating his score but then —his precision.
—the way he sets such an intricate pace. Dipping his tongue inside you. Curling the tip into you and making you wetter.
You fuck up and take a hit. And you shake your head trying to focus your eyes and you almost manage to do it.
— but then he adds his fingers. He pushes them inside so slowly while his tongue flicks back and forth over your clit.
And that was it. It was cool at first. Your legs went stiff and drool trickled out of your mouth as the icy blast of pleasure rocked throughout you body so hard that you dropped your controller to the floor.
Your stomach dropped and you pussy tensed over and over and over releasing all of your frustration with your creamy slick coating Aki’s hungry tongue.
He comes up from under the chair revealing his pretty pink wet lips still slick from you, he kisses you, letting you taste yourself and to your surprise, when you reach to feel for his surely stiff dick, you find his pants wet with his cum.
You stare at him with dazzling eyes realizing just how much he loved to eat your pussy.
“Oh my God Aki, that’s so fucking sexy.”
