on this very random fucking day, since my brain cannot absorb any more Chinese, I’m gonna list out some of my fav VNF Wattpad authors.
da_River, once D_LittleStar (D.): The absolute favorite, totally unmatched. The one and only author that can wreck me with every single one of her stories. Qua chơi cùng mình? So pure so wholesome. Let’s pretend the world stops turning? Also really wholesome with no shipping content whatsover. Em giấu điều gì trong đôi mắt? Damn girl you bet how many times I’ve cried reading this one. Take me home, country road (unpublished)? I think of this one every time I pass by my hometown river. Trúng số? Nguyễn Ngọc Tư’s level of emotional depth. Cách để chạm đến mặt trời? I feel like this one is the one story that will carry me through my bumpy young adult days. Hình người tâm ma? Holy fucking shit the sheer level of eroticism I can’t...
wreckedworld, once nine19enth (A.): I love her. I love reading everything she writes, no matter if they’re fanfiction, original stories, book reviews, diaries recording her days in Japan, or just random rants after a long tiresome day - most of which she has now hidden (or deleted, idk). I dedicated a story of mine (Hai đứa trẻ) to her, once, and these days I wonder if she still remembers it, after all those years. In my closet there’s still a Vietnam NT 2020 shirt with the name N. QUANG HAI that I bought to give her when I learned that she intended to return to Vietnam in Jan 2020 (oh yeah and since we’re mentioning that shirt, fuck you Quang Hải and fuck your misogyny). I never had the chance, as the pandemic struck.
Minbadend, also known as whereialive (N.): The 314 ficdom was great, and N. used to be one of its most prolific writer. She’s someone who never hesitates to try out new ideas, most of which are really breathtaking when executed. I loved her Hồn Hoang collection so much that I even commissioned her to write another collection in that exact format. She gave me Lặng (on the very first day of the Lunar Year 4 years ago), and while it was not as poetically written as Hồn Hoang, I feel like Lặng has a more solid structure and a more coherent plot. She still writes fanfic, as far as I know (we’re still friends on Facebook), and in fact I would gladly read everything she writes, even when I have no idea who the characters are, and even though I don’t always agree with her extreme views on fandom stuffs. Some writers’ styles are just that addictive
nolastgoodbye, once linnervard (M.): She didn’t write much, but most of her stories melted my heart with their sweetness. My favorite story by her would be Cingulomania, but I really enjoy her Felix Felicis as well, even though I’ve never touched a single Harry Potter book in my entire godforsaken life. Fun story time, I kinda know her irl through one of my closest friends, who participated in the University Club where M. used to be the chairman. Can’t spill all the details, but according to my friend, irl M. seems to be wildly different from her Wattpad persona.
Hojua5 (T.): This person wrote a 500-fucking-page novel in the form of fanfiction over the span of less than one year, and that’s not to mention her other works (written during the same period, also impossibly long), as well as the fact that she still worked full-time and traveled a lot. Yes, I’m talking about the famous Đủ dũng khí để trân trọng cậu. Tell you what, I can never imagine myself with that level of dedication, productivity, or perseverance. T.’s stories never wrecked me the way D.’s or M.’s did (I guess this is mostly due to our generation gap - T. is 9 years older than me); nevertheless, they are always entertaining enough to keep me turning the pages. And now that I’m thinking about T., I’m assuming that incorporating friendship into fanfic is one of the things I learned from her, many many years ago.
smoothxcriminal (N.): Every single one of her social media account has this quote stamped under the profile picture: “I do exactly what you tell me not to.” Somehow, her stories generate that exact vibe: always unexpected, a bit unhinged, a little rebellious. For me, her most impressive work is Thick and thin ‘til our last day (turn my soul into a raging fire), a rather atypical collection that depicts the footballers as people with special abilities who just want to live their lives in peace yet always get pulled into dangerous situations (Stranger Things, anyone?): a Thành Chung who can switch between human and dog form, a Tiến Linh who can understand animals’ languages, a Xuân Trường who has psychokinetic abilities, etc. etc. Her Em chẳng có gì also left a really deep impression on me, especially that one shot in which Công Phượng commits suicide and his closest friends’ thoughts are brought to light.
andiethecheesetea, also known as the3rdandy (where’s the second Andie?) (T.): Olympia girl. Reading her story is like riding a rollercoaster. One moment you laugh your ass off, the very next moment you just want to crawl into a corner to contemplate life. I feel like she put that much humor in her stories just to mask the fact that she takes them all very, very seriously. Is this how having BPD feels like?

Anime Recommendations!
Hi everyone, I hope y’all are safe and happy! With quarantine still in place (at least in my country), I’m gonna keep the random rec lists coming! I’ve been watching a lotttt of animes and rewatching favourites, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites of all time! A lot of them are pretty mainstream, but for my friends who aren’t really into anime, these will get you hooked! In no particular order, let’s get started!
1. Snow White with the Red Hair, 24 episodes
This is hands down my favourite anime of all time. This shoujo anime make me feel so happy and it’s so wholesome, honestly such a feel good anime. Without spoiling too much, it’s about a herbalist named Shirayuki who ends up having to flee her home country and ends up meeting Prince Zen and goes to live in his country. The cast of characters in the anime is so good, there’s not a character to dislike. The genuine build up of friendship and eventual romance is just so sweet please watch.
2. Demon slayer (26 episodes)
One of the best anime I’ve watched this past year. This anime has amazing plot, awesome animation and a great cast of characters. This anime follows Tanjiro as he becomes a demon slayer after a demon killed his family. Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko were the only survivors but Nezuko was turned in a demon and now Tanjiro is on a journey to change he back into a human. If you are into anime with amazing fight scenes, I highly recommend.
3. Hunter x Hunter (148 episodes)
I am currently watching this anime and it honestly made it onto my lists of favourite anime super quickly. The series starts with Gon and his quest to become a pro hunter and find his dad and goes on from there. With so many episodes and arcs, you can’t stop watching. The characters immediately hooked me on this show, Killua and Gon’s friendship is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen in anime, I literally want to adopt both of them. This anime is so heartwarming but also kinda dark and action packed.
4. Haikyuu!! (73 episodes, on-going)
My favourite sports anime my god. Haikyuu follows a high school volleyball team as they try to make it to nationals. This series made me so much more emotional than I thought it would, but you get so involved with the team and characters and want them to succeed. All of the characters from all of the teams are also fantastic and hilarious. If you need a fun but exciting anime, please please please watch Haikyuu!!
5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes)
Where to even begin. I would say this is one of the most popular anime and for good freaking reason. Without giving too much away, this anime follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they go on a quest to get their bodies back. Honestly this is one of my fav animes, if you like awesome fight scenes and really intriguing plot, you will love this anime.
6. Yona of the Dawn (24 episodes)
Another amazing anime but sadly, unfinished. I think this anime is best to watch w/o knowing very much. Just know that there is really good characters and character development and a very attractive love interest :))))
7. Soul eater (51 episodes)
One of the first animes I ever watched and as I remember it’s hella awesome, if you like halloween then the whole atmosphere of this anime will intrigue you. The fight scenes in this are really fun and so are the characters. If you need a fun medium length anime, I would recommend this one!
8. Inuyasha (193 episodes)
This anime is worth all the hype in my opinion. The plot was great, the characters are fantastic and romance is so freaking cute I can’t. I’m also a sucker for asshole characters who are secretly really sweet.
9. Fruits Basket (2019) (25 episodes (S1), S2 on-going)
This is the cutest anime. The whole cast characters is amazing and you get so attached so fast. The protagonist is so sweet and optimistic and I really just wanna protect her. I went into this knowing next nothing and I think that’s the best way to do it. The 2001 version is good too but 2019 has better animation and is closer to managa (and has more episodes!).
10. My Hero Academia (88 episodes, on-going)
I love this anime with my whole heart. There is an adorable cast of characters and amazing fight scenes, I love this sm. It’s set in a world where like 95% of the population has ‘quirks’ which are basically super powers but not all of them are super powerful. Super heroes protect cities and the anime follows a high school where the students are training to become heroes. The main character is born without a quirk but through some crazy circumstances he ends up acquiring one. In my opinion this anime is worth the hype.
11. Ouran Highschool Host Club (26 episodes)
This one is wild. Ouran Highschool Host club is so iconic and it’s hilarious, I laughed out loud watching this one so much. Honestly I went into this knowing nothing and I think its funnier that way.
12. Yuri!!! On Ice (13 episodes)
THIS ANIME. The first sports anime w/ canon LGBTQ+ romance and its beautiful. I love the style, the skating, the music, the characters, just everything about it. This follows Yuri Katsuki, a professional figure skater from Japan and his skating career. After messing up a major championship, Yuri is lost and doesn’t know what to do w/ his career. After seeing a video of Yuri skate, his idol Victor, a skating legend, shows up to be his coach. Please watch this anime.
13. Attack on Titan (62 episodes, on-going)
If you are looking for a badass action anime this is the one for you. Humanity has fallen to the mercy of giant man-eating titans, and the people that survived live within a walled city to keep the titans out. This anime is a little disturbing and violent but it is so badass. Also Levi, the most badass character ever, makes this entire anime worth watching.
14. Ao Haru Ride (12 episodes)
Hands down my favourite romance anime. This anime is so freaking cute and it gave me so many fuzzy feelings. The animation is also super nice so that is always a plus. It follows Futaba and Kou who liked each other in middle school but were separated. They meet again in high school but they have both changed so much. If you want a romance anime I really recommend this one.
15. Naruto (720 episodes)
This is a freaking classic and really long. Almost everyone and their mother has heard of this anime or watched some of it before. Basically it’s about ninjas and follows mainly Naruto Uzumaki who want to eventually be the leader of his village but his ninja skills need a lot of work. I honestly didn’t think I would love this anime as much as I did but its just so good. It is a very big commitment to finish though so be prepared.
16. Your Lie in April (22 episodes)
Well this anime is literally beautiful. It is centered around 2 teens w/ major musical talent. It gets deep very fast but its also light hearted and wholesome. This anime made me cry like a baby so get your tissues ready.

hmmmm what else... austria and hungary are cute, natch, and i love how hungary is feisty and austria is quiet and contemplative most of the time, i love characters and ships that break the norm
prucan is cute and funny just because of how fucking different they are and also because the one time canada fucking had enough and yelled at america for three hours makes me think that if the two of them ever got started against some poor other soul it would be a Sight to Behold
but also i saw sth the other day where seychelles remembered canadas name and he was like oh!! u remembered me and im like oh no thats adorable so theyre cute too
i feel like fruks got that rivals to idiots to lovers thing going on, which is Very funny but also like. i dunno i feel like theyre just two old men who just wanna hang out with someone they know well and fine whatever i guess we can kiss too sure
in fics i read my favorite dynamic for them is just. absolutely close, thick as thieves, would willingly die for the other but they also just fucking rib each other nonstop like. romantic or platonic whatever fruk is great

Bokuto and Kenma: Long Distance Relationship
A/N: You are from another country.
BOKUTO KOUTARO
The two of you met when you went into one of their match with Nekoma. You’re just visiting a friend that time and decided to watch volleyball play cuz Friend’s/N insisted to.
The first time Bokuto saw you was just after their match with Nekoma. He can’t keep his eye out of you since your (fav. outfit) seems cool for him. He approached you without further notice and tapped your shoulders.
“You’re cute, can I get your number?” Shocked written all over your face back then but ofcourse, who would not agree to give it to this tall, silver haired, cute man.
It did not took long enough for you to fall for him and vise versa.
Anyway, it’s been four months since you last saw him and now you are facetiming with each other- him, wearing his volleyball clothes and pouting at you.
“You can’t come?” You chuckled when you saw Konoha rolls his eyes at the background. Bitter.
“I’m literally thousand miles away from Japan, babe.”
“But it’s been months! I wanna hug you and see you and kiss you and have many dates with you.” ah, how endearing.
“I’ll try this coming summer, okay?” You assured him.
His face now slowly turning sad and you can’t help but to sigh. You wanted to see him too…badly.
“Summer is two month away, Y/N. That’s still long,” he whines.
Your eyes traveled at the corner of the screen when you saw the brown-haired Komi along with their 1st year middle blocker shakes their head continuously as if saying something significant. You narrow your eyes to them-
“Y/N, are you listening?”
“Ah yes!” You bit your lower lip.
You got what they mean. It’s their practice match and you obviously must not push Bokuto further. He’s known for his mood swings that greatly affects their game when not attended immediately. As Bokuto is still whining, you cut him off-“Babe?”
He stopped talking and looked at you with a mix of begging and confusion-“What?”
“I want to hear the news later that you’ve won this practice game, my Ace.” A slight of pink hue is drawn to your face since you’re not used to such endearment.
It was as if on cue that he jolted, smiled brightly at you and moved closer to the screen as if observing you.
“Okay team! You heard Y/N! His ace needs to win this game!” He faced his team and spread his arms as if gathering energy. He literally just forgot the topic.The guys surrounded Bokuto and started to ‘flatter’ him more.
“Of course, of course! The best ace is here so we’re definitely gonna win this game!” Washio exclaimed and gave you a thankful smile.
“Bokuto-san, show me that amazing cross again,” Onaga fueled up.
“You heard that, Y/N? “ Bokuto’s face seemed more livelier now.
“Let’s go, team!” Bokuto rushed outside.
From the screen, you saw the whole team gave you a thumbs up and you just nodded at them.
Well, you can’t help but to wish that summer should come fast.
KOZUME KENMA
He was all snuggled at his blanket, with one console on his hand and the other holding his phone-the game on pause. The light from his phone and the monitor are the only way to see his scrunched face as he reads your message.
“Don’t stay up late. Reminder: YOU HAVE TEST TOMORROW!”
Since you are living on (country’s name), Kenma thought that you would not know if he’s lying or not so he replied you with a simple “K.” before setting his phone aside. What he did not expect is for you to call him this late at night. He looked at it until you ended the call. Relief is written on his face until a message popped out.
“Nope. U must still be playing, right?” He sighed when you called him again. Defeated, he took his phone and answered it in a sluggish way.
“Y/N-“
“I miss you.” Your soft voice tickled his whole being. It was not what he expected. More or less, he thought that you’d be on full ‘strict-girlfriend-mode’ since you’ve found out that he’s still playing.
“Kenma? Are you still there?”
“Y-yeah.” Eventhough no one’s watching, he hid his face on the blanket covering him.
On the other line, he heard you chuckled-“So? How’s your game?” Instead of telling him to go to sleep, the urge of wanting to hear Kenma’s voice disrupts it.
Kenma knew that, ofcourse. The time on your country is different from theirs so the both of you had hard time talking to each other. Most of the time, he misses your call but after seeing it he’ll texts you to let you know what he’s been up to.
“Mhm. I paused it,” he said and lets go of the controller his holding and laid on the bed, still the phone near his ears.
“Why?” You teased. Kenma’s not the type to express his feelings vocally so he turns red expectedly.
Hearing the silence on the other line, you decided to change the subject. “By the way, how’s volleyball?”
“Lev’s still annoying.” Remembering how he went through these past few weeks made him tremble.
“Ah! The Russian guy? But Kuroo said he’s fun, right?” You said.
“It’s just because he’s having fun teasing Lev’s spikes and serves.” Few seconds after, you heard him yawned.
That’s fast. You’ve not been talking for too long, yet he’s now sleepy? Well, can’t be helped since it’s almost 12 in the midnight there. And he needs to wake up early cuz he have to take their exam.
“Sleepy? I guess you have to go now,” your voice saddens.
“It’s fine. Besides… I want to hear your voice more,” he mumbled the last part but enough for you to hear. You smiled at the thought of Kenma’s face. If you were there, sure he’ll avoid your gaze at him.
“You sure?”
‘Y/N, how’s school over there?” And that’s your cue.
The next day, he’s tired and still sleepy when he took the test and to add up that Kuroo nagged him cuz of that. Anyway, it’s all worth it.

Hi sorry can I ask you something? I'm a big fan if your Obey Me art but I was also a big fan of Hetalia and I plan on watching the 2021 reboot. Will you block me if I watch Hetalia? I used to really love Hetalia too when I was in middle school! Prussia was my fav! I had a crush on him >///<! I also own a few volumes of the manga!
But I kinda slowly drifted away cos my classmates kept doing/drawing racist things... I was afraid to say anything to them cos I was worried that they'll stop being my friend... so I ended up just avoiding the show...
I won't say it's "bad"... but based on what I remember... Hetalia kinda sugar coats WWII.
I'm Chinese Singaporean. My country was one of the countries that was invaded by Japan during WWII. My granddad was almost killed by Japanese soldiers cos he's Chinese, and the impact of the war is taught to all of us in middle school 😅... Knowing what Japan did, then watching the anime... it's kinda sus cos the anime paints WWII as something cute and fun 😅
Plus the title of the anime used to be "Axis Powers Hetalia" 😅... it literally says "Axis Powers"... So yeah 😅
And people around me kept doing really bad things like shipping the OC I made of my country with WWII Japan. Or stuff like drawing Kuwait and Iraq as Hetalia OCs and submitting it to our History teacher... the assignment was about the Kuwait Iraq war btw 😅... so that was really inappropriate 😅
^ all the stuff mentioned above makes me kinda not want to get involved with Hetalia again... But don't let my opinion affect you! You need to decide for yourself!
Hetalia was probably a big part of our childhoods, I won't judge you if you want to relive your childhood memories 🤣. But just be aware of what the show is portraying. Take everything with a pinch of salt.

ive actually finished travelling all over my country so i would say abroad bcs shockingly flight ticket to japan which is almost 6 hours is cheaper than a 2 hours flight from kuala lumpur (the capital) to sabah (another state)
plus i have only been to a couple country and i was planning on flying to japan on holiday but then covid happened so yeah i also had to reject two university offer bcs of it to uk and nz so yeah im sad now lol
22. what makes you proud about your country? what makes you ashamed?
we are very generous when it comes to helping each others, like theres this viral case where this baby needed an operation bcs of a tumor and the only doctor whos willing to take on her case is a malaysian in the uk so we helped crowdfunded her cost from flight to operation to her aftercare
what i hate about this country is the government and the fact that corruption happened right in front of our eyes

13 [My favourite] concert attended: I, uh, honestly can‘t remember to have attended any concert so far. I‘m not a big fan of big events with many people where I have to stand for long and like to listen to music at home, so uhhhh I guess that might be disappointing since most people do like concerts? Hm… The last thing coming close is the open air thing they do in summer with orchestra instruments which had a nice atmosphere.
28 [My favourite] Band: Some years ago I came across ‘Sakanaction’ (サカナクション) and ‘Bump of Chicken’; they are both Japanese, and I would say the genre is somewhat rock-pop music, but I also find that they have their very own style. Funny thing, I watched multiple anime intro songs etc they made which was always a nice discovery^-^ (Apart from that I often listen to voiceless background music or soundtrack (I‘m able to connect each Kaze Ost to it‘s title just by hearing and I bet I‘m not the only one lol, same goes for the Hobbit music where I know which scene is playing, haha, I listened to them, uh, a LOT) )
34 [My favourite] State visited: Definitely Japan!! I love their culture so much, it‘s a very fascinating country to explore and study. The language is really beautiful too. I‘m glad that I got to spend some time there. (I could talk hours about Japan but let‘s leave it as it is, okay? :‘D)
38: I wish I was a professional: Ohhh, interesting question! If possible I would like to become a writer, I wanted to and still want to (considering the tense of the question). Back then I also considered of advancing into a certain sport but somehow I didn‘t continue that thought, hm. Now I‘m too old I guess :D
39: I would like to move to: In general a place with a garden (where I could just grow stuff and have pets and be in the green, I‘ve been living in big cities for so many years now, I miss my garden). More broader I would love to live in Japan again.

Kaze ga tsuyoku fuiteiru.
Haikyuu!! and Free! (all sport animes lol) but I watched them at a time when I needed motivation and some kind of mental support and they helped me a lot. Same goes for Barakamon (no sport anime though).
San gatsu no raion (March comes in like a Lion) was a pretty impressive anime and I love their characters, backstories and the development.
Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju is, as the characters say, a lot of suffering but this anime is so good!
I also very much enjoyed Boku dake ga inai machi (erased). I started reading the manga back then but came to watch the anime and after I mostly forgetting everything about the manga, it was such an experience!
On my fav list are also Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge and ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka.
This got really long and I would love to expand about them but well, I tried to keep it short :D

1. What takes up too much of your time? rn its mainly vibeo game and anime. i still play djmax respect like almost every single day plus also playing ace combat 5 & 7 and i recently finished watching ergo proxy which was pretty cool
2. What makes your day better? cooking something yummy like pasta or curry makes my day better and just generally playing games something that distracts me from my problems at the moment
