5 headcanons for an AU where All might deflates in front of the crowd after defeating the sludge villain?
OOOOOOH now that's fun
1- it's quiet, for a moment, as everyone stares and tries to process what they just saw. Izuku, who saw the truth already, still is stunned for a second. And then he realizes everyone else sees too, and his feet move before he can think more about it.
2- Izuku needs everyone to stop looking at All Might as the crowd begins to murmur, shaking itself. Izuku knows that Kacchan is very good at being loud and the center of attention. So, 2+2=4, he gives Bakugou a little push into a hero and a civilian and let's that work out.
3- As the explosion begins, Izuku grabs All Might's hand and runs, down between two buildings that still smell like smoke and sewage. Mt Lady grows for crowd control, and sees where they go- but the look in their eyes makes her turn back to the crowd and block a few civilians from following. She pretends everything is normal, and she's an actress. If that really was All Might- and it had to be, she felt that power- he'll be grateful when she contacts his agency later to demand what happened. If it isn't, then she can point out that letting non-heroes follow a villainous impersonator of that power level would have been disastrous.
4- they go a few buildings further when All Might's feet drag and Izuku's burst of motion slows. He pants, and stops at the street. "Go one way, All Might, sir, I'll tell them you went the other way." He can still hear Kacchan shouting above the other voices, and Mt Lady arguing back, but they don't have a lot of time. "Yeah, no." Toshinori says, and drags Izuku instead into a store, heading for the clearance section and hats.
5- the good news is, most people had put their phones down at this point and weren't filming. The TV cameras had turned away to show the people cheering and the blond victim fine. The bad news is that some people still were filming, and the TV crew went back, catching sight of All Might's skinny back fleeing the scene as the crowd erupted. As Toshinori pays for a change of clothes for both him and Izuku, his phone starts to ring. He mutes it as they change and put on the hats. Izuku asks where they are running too, but Toshinori just goes two buildings down to a ramen shop and sits at a table. He points out that no is going to look for All Might at a restaurant a block from the crime scene, much less expect him to be casually eating there in an Endeavor hoodie and a ball cap. He thinks the bright orange FG jacket izuku is now wearing to hide his school uniform clashes horribly with the lilac beanie, but it works to make the few curls escaping to look less green. As they eat, Toshinori tells Izuku about OfA, and makes his offer. Izuku bursts into tears because he just ruined All Might's secret, revealed it to everyone, he doesn't deserve his quirk, and now that it's in the open All Might can pick someone else, the best choice. Toshinori disagrees, because all Izuku did was inspire him to save that other boy, which was more important. Izuku agrees to be his successor, numbers are exchanged, and after eating Toshinori walks him home just in case- but it seems Izuku wasn't identified, probably because Bakugou could only scream "Deku" when shoved, so Izuku gets a quiet night of pure stress to himself while Toshinori heads to ask Tsukauchi for a ride to Might Tower for a very loud and very long night of pure stress and demanding answers.

About Bakugou's redemption, and those who don't like it
So, a thing I noticed: most of the time when people who like Bakugou (most MHA fans, if I'm being sadly honest) talk about those who don't like Bakugou, they overwhelmingly say, and seem to think, it's only about that first chapter, and what he says to Izuku.
And, about that. Two things:
Thing the first: That's... honestly not true? When I see Bakugou critical content, it's overwhelmingly about his... like, entire character, and attitude, and who he is as a person. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely those who have the stance that Chapter 1 ruined him forever, but it seems to be a minority.
From what I've seen (and you can take this with some salt if you like, I don't mind), in a very broad sort of sense the fandom seems to be those who accept the narrative presented to them, because it's fun, because they don't want to think that hard about a superhero story, or whatever, and those who don't accept what the story tells us as gospel truth. The narrative paints a story about Bakugou as a child growing up past his biased, cruel behaviors, and that's beautiful idea, sure, but it's one that isn't actually matched by the story we're given, and it's that that makes so many people hate him.
Thing the second: if that one scene permanently damages someone's view of Bakugou, as a character? You know what? That's fine. It's not wrong to dislike the fan favorite because he did a dick move, we're not all mandated to adore him. Izuku, in the society of MHA, is treated, effectively, as a disabled person. They never use those words, of course (probably because it sounds a lot worse that way), but... MHA is a society where almost everyone has a Quirk. Izuku explicitly can do less than everyone else; even though having or not having a Quirk is pretty much pointless for everything short of high level hero work (and even that can mostly be covered with support tech, AFO aside), that's... pretty much a disability. So... Bakugou systematically bullys Izuku, ruins his life, and tells him to kill himself... for being disabled. It's like someone telling a kid to kill themselves because they can't walk... except Izuku's functional limitations (societal limitations aside (which themselves are heavily implied but never explored, because Quirklessness in pretty much any context was dropped like it was radioactive once the story got going and Bakugou was being shoehorned back into the story)) are so small it's more telling a kid who is colorblind to kill themselves for not being able to see red.
And, yeah, he grows (or 'grows', as the case may be) past that, but you know what? That's still fucked up. That's still deeply fucked up. It's OK to hate that, it's OK to hate him for basiclly the first thing he ever did in the story, especially if it could so easily have led to someone's death for no good reason. This is doubly so when, unlike a lot of early manga story dick moves, there isn't a hidden reason for this behavior, he's not.. protecting Izuku from, like, a secret society, or the enemies of his mysteriously missing father, or whatever the reason is that explains that 'X' character was actually good along, and is doing it for the MC's sake.
It's just that he's an asshole. And that's honestly reason enough to not like him.

What if Midoriya was hit by a quirk erasing bullet?
I desperately need someone to write this. It’s been swimming around in my head, but I know my talents, and creative writing isn’t one of them, so I’m putting it up here:
Give me a fic where Midoriya gets hit by a quirk erasing bullet.
Because here’s the thing – Midoriya’s whole life and purpose is heroics. But until he miraculously received One-for-All, literally no-one believed he could ever be a hero, and there’s a good chance Midoriya didn’t really believe he could do it either. We all know that a quirk isn’t what makes Midoriya a hero. But in the mind of child whose life was hell until he got a quirk, you can’t convince me that the only reason Midoriya thinks he has value and purpose and friends now is because of said quirk (afterall, it’s the only variable that’s changed right? He’s still the same he’s been his whole life when he was bullied and was friendless, things only got better when he got a quirk, so obviously the quirk is the only thing that actually matters (not Midoriya, not really, but that's ok. He'll do anything to be a hero, and one day he'll pass the quirk on to someone who was actually born to be a hero and didn't luck into it like he did).
But the quirk, the magic cure that fixed everything wrong with his life is gone. Not only that, All Might himself intrusted him with this quirk and he lost it (there will be no tenth user. One-for-all is gone and it’s Midoriya’s fault. He can't look All Might in the face anymore. He should have chosen Mirio as his successor). And suddenly all that growth and confidence and happiness he’s gained since he got into UA is gone because the quirk is gone (that’s the only reason anything changed, why anyone cared and now it’s gone) and now things will go back to the way they were and he can’t live like that, not again not when he knows how good it can be. (But it’s all his fault anyway, he has never been anything but useless, even if it was nice to pretend for a while that he wasn't).
Give me an Aizawa Shouta who is doing everything he can to try and support his Problem Child, but unwittingly making it worse, because no-one told him that Midoriya grew up Quirkless. He tells him to take time, pulls him from hero training (because he knows Midoriya, knows a lack of a quirk won’t stop him throwing himself in danger, but Midoriya’s eyes have been so dead since he lost his quirk and Aizawa is worried, and his Problem Child needs to heal). Midoriya attends the mandated counselling sessions. He doesn’t tell the therapist that he knows she’s reading word-for-word from resources for supporting quirkless children. He knows it’s word-for-word because he’s memorised practically every resource on quirklessness since he was diagnosed (they’re all bullshit). The therapist tells him that being Quirkless isn’t the end. Midoriya smiles and nods and swallows the scream that she has no idea what it’s actually like (The words taste like poison. That’s ok, he’s not sure he’s really alive anymore anyway). Mirio tries to cheer him up by saying it's not that bad. Midoriya doesn't have the heart to tell him the truth (or maybe Mirio will be fine. Maybe quirklessness isn't the problem, maybe the problem has always been Midoriya).
Give me a Katsuki Bakugou who has grown and matured and realised that the way he treated Izuku, the way others let him treat Izuku wasn’t right. He hadn’t noticed just how much better and happier Midoriya had become at UA until suddenly Midoriya is acting like he used to at Aldera and it’s so wrong. (Kacchan calls him Deku and Midoriya goes still and small and don’t antagonise him, don’t draw his attention. He calls him Izuku after that and somehow that’s so much worse).
Give me a Midoriya whose dreams have been crushed because he’s not a naïve 14 year-old anymore. He’s seen how hard it is to be a hero and everyone was right. You can’t do that quirkless (and if they were right about that, well they were probably right about everything else weren’t they? Jump off the roof and see if you get a quirk in the next life). Give me a Bakugou that pulls Midoriya aside and tells him you’re wrong, you are a hero, you were always a hero and you’re going to let something as small as a bullet stop you? and You’re going to be at the top right along with me Deku. And Midoriya is furious at first because the last thing he ever wanted was Bakugou’s pity (Fuck you shitty Deku, you think I’m saying this to make you feel better?! I’m saying it because it’s fucking true, and you ain’t gonna hear me say it ever fucking again).
And really that’s all he’s ever needed isn’t it? Someone who really, truly believes he can do this (Kacchan believes in him. That’s more than enough for him to believe in himself too).
Midoriya pulls out every Hero Analysis for the Future book, every half-sketched thought or design on how he could be a Quirkless hero and he runs with it (Hatsume is over the moon with all the new ideas for her babies and what better way to secure her name in the history books than her gear seeing a quirkless hero to the top?). Midoriya shows up to hero training with an arsenal on his back and fire in his eyes, and Aizawa grins like a devil at the sight because there’s that spark he was so worried had disappeared along with the quirk (Midoriya is worried that Aizawa will tell him no. Aizawa proceeds to identify every potential issue and weakness with Midoriya’s new ensemble and recommends solutions and offers training for his new style going forward. He knows a thing or two about fighting quirkless). Midoriya hasn’t cried since he lost One-for-All. He cries when Aizawa makes it clear that he still thinks Midoriya has potential.
And here’s the thing. When he wasn’t dealing with the latest villain attack, Midoriya had poured every ounce of his time, energy and training into controlling One-for-All. (What was the point in developing anything else? Everyone made it abundantly clear that quirks were what made a hero). But he knows that being a quirkless hero will be hard and so he throws everything at it. No-one who knew Midoriya would think he was stupid. But ever since All Might had given him his chance, he had been prioritising brawn over brain. Everyone is about to learn how terrifyingly brilliant he can be when the brains come first (Nedzu is thrilled. He is also very, very, glad that Midoriya is so unfailingly good. Villains have been made from far less and Midoriya would make a very dangerous villain).
Maybe the quirk erasing bullet is permanent. Maybe it isn’t. In the end it doesn’t matter. Midoriya will be a hero.

suspect
summary : the whole ua suspected you of being a traitor , but you've had enough
You stood there shocked , not knowing how to process that your teacher and classmate just doubted you being the UA traitor. Tears streaming down your face. The inquiry was done, they had forcefully checked your Dorm room for specific reason. NOTHING, there was NOTHING that proves you're guilty. The doubt and furrowed eyebrows of everyone towards you; was now gone. They seem to believe you know, that you weren't the traitor, you should be relived right? they believed you in the end, they aren't gonna doubt you again, will they? It's been clear, you have their trust.
Or do you? Simple answer is, you don't have their trust, you never had, you never will. Despite everything you've gone through, they still didn't believed you. You had to prove your loyalty again and again, it shouldn't have been that way, in the first place. It was a hard time to digest that you were the only student that was indirectly been tested to prove yourself . but you turned a blind eye to it, you loved them, you treated them as a family, was ready to kill or be killed for them, you did put on your life in the line for them not once but twice. Then what made them question your loyalty? What made them question your admiration for being a hero? . They trust you now, Only because you haven't been found guilty, not because you told them on top of your lungs to trust you. It's always gonna be that way isn't it? You have to keep proving your self again and again, nothing is gonna change, the cycle will remain going. You sob, not trying to hold back the tears, while Izuku approaches to comfort you, you take your steps away from him, and you look at Aizawa, your voice breaking
You -“your appearance, your society status, and your quirk Doesn't matter, as long as you have a good heart and admiration for your goal. That's all it takes to be a good hero. ” that's what you told us when we first came to UA didn't you Sensei? Why the rules changes when it comes to me?
Aizawa knew he had extremely hurt his student, but this is not the first time, he knew you Swallowed all the pain before but today seems you've had enough, today might be the breaking point, he knows your back has reached the wall and this time you're gonna push back. Aizawa tighten his fist, feeling the heavy guilt, he tried to hold back his tears, Aizawa - Y/N I know, it's hard for you to.... Look, we had our doubts and it had to be cleared.
you- oh it is clear now? Might Come back after a week or two.
izuku tries to hold your shoulders but you shove it off.
You- should've shown your concern before I was proven innocent.
Izuku - it's not like I doubted you Y/n, your my friend.
Y/n - yeah, well you didn't felt necessary to speak up for me either, none of you did, you call me “friend”? Bullshit.
Shoto - Y/N we believe you, we really do, it's just sensei had a list of people he had doubts on....
you - And I'm always on top of it,WHY?
You ask Aizawa while sobbing and wiping your tears. Aizawa looked guilty, he had nothing to say it's always been like this.
Bakugou - Y/n calm down. Don't let your rage take over, you might hurt someone with your words.
you- oh look who's speaking? These words doesn't suit your mouth,you are the one who's running his tongue everywhere,your seriously telling me this while I'm being treated like trash? I put my life on the line for all of you, and in return, I can't have your trust? You guys call me a “friend” and none of you fucking trust me.
Mina and denki were just staring blankly at you, not knowing how to react because you're saying everybit of the truth.
Krishima - pebble listen to....
you - save it for later, kiri.
You look at Aizawa, he's looking down, like he knows he did something terribly wrong. You feel Exhausted by the thoughts running through your mind, you sigh ..
you - was it my quirk?
Aizawa brows furrowed , he looks at you?
Y/n - was it my dangerous quirk, that made you doubt me, or was it the fact that my Father was a villain?
Aizawa finally let's his tears escape his eyes, he doesn't know what to answer, because the truth is none of them could bring themselves to believe that you are such a good hearted person because of your shady past. When you don't get an answer from him , you kneel down on the floor,by then you were a complete a crying mess.
you - it was, wasn't it? You guys couldn't believe that I'm not like my father, or that I want to be a hero despite my villain like quirk.
Iida and izuku tries to make you stand up, it was visible to everyone that. this day totally broke you into thousands of pieces.
You - don't fucking touch me, I don't need any of your sympathies. You guys never believed me did you? Never, even for once? Ochako? Tsyu? Momo? Shoto? Katsuki? Kiri? Mina? Denki? None of you have ever believed me. You start sobbing hard again
You- i put my life on the line for you all Dammnit. MY FUCKING LIFE, and that wasn't enough for you? I was your first thought as the traitor? Wasn't I sensei? Aizawa doesn't answers.
you - speak back, I deserve to know? Despite all I have done for you all, why am I always on the doubting rudder, you say you had your suspects, then why tf your inquiry starts and ends after checking my room? You question them as loud as you could but all there is silence.
you - I'm not gonna fight for something, I'm never gonna have. You don't trust me, and now I don't trust you either.
Izuku - what?.... What are you trying to..
you- I don't think people around me who have this mentality can help me become a hero.
Bakugou - tch.. l/n no, we agree it was a mistake, calm down, don't take your decision out of rage, don't be the past me,
you - I've made my decision, and it's not changing.
Kiri - pebble you can't do this.
You just let them speak because you feel too tired to answer. You look Aizawa in the eyes
you - my transfer letter will be on your table.
Izuku - n/n no,
you - and katsuki this decision is not out of rage, it's out of failure of gaining all of your trust. what I shouldn't have tried for in the first place.

why did some people get mad at all might when he called dabi crazy? /gen
A while back I read a post suggesting that All Might gets more negative attention from people due to ableism. As in people see his disabilities and have an inherent bias against him. To an extent I think there is some truth in that, but I also feel like it's a bit more complex of a situation.
Many of the people who criticize All Might have favorite characters, like Dabi, Shigaraki, or Aizawa who are similarly injured and disabled. They will get mad at people who take away scars and are quick to call out ableist behavior. So, I don't think it's pure ableism that causes them to dislike All Might.
Instead what I think what happens is that All Might's disabilities more affect his appearance then other's in the Manga. His Small Might form is based on a skeleton and he is draw far more cartoonish then others. His character model is not traditionally attractive, which doesn't make people out right hate him, but does maybe reduce the number of people who would have him as a favorite character.
People are far more willing to understand and go to bat for their favorite characters. For whatever reason their mind has latched onto that character and they spend hours thinking about them and their stories. What makes them tick, why they act the way they do, inferring things about them that canon doesn't specifically state, or isn't even in the original material. I know I do this myself.
Also, if a character does something that can be seen as a slight against someone's favorite character, it's doubtful that offending character will get similar levels of understanding and thought as the fav. The less liked of the two, who the person hasn't spent hours upon hours thinking about will instead be viewed in a more negative light.
All Might is a pretty important character in this story. He has effected almost everyone, even if he hasn't personally met them. Because of this he has far more opportunities to end up slighting someone's favorite character, even if it's in a really minor way. People who love Izuku will dislike him for how he endangered him by giving OfA (even though they also say AM is bad for telling him he couldn't be a Hero without Quirk which would have been equally as dangerous). Bakugou and Shoto, or really any 1A fans dislike him for ignoring them in favor of Izuku. The Villain fans dislike him because his time as #1 is seen as the cause of them not getting saved and becoming villains in the first place.
All Might, due to his relevance/ perveance in the story can be blamed for, or seen as being an asshole to almost anyone's fav. With his less conventionally attractive body, he was less likely to become people's favorite character, so people are less inclined to spend time diving into his character. So in the end he gets very black and white criticism for things that aren't even that big of a deal, like say calling Dabi crazy, which was not in anyway shown in canon to be a flaw of his character. Yet in fandom spaces is held up as All Might's refusal to get with the program and sympathizing with all the villains. Or as him hurting Shoto's feelings, even though Shoto didn't care at all.
And I'm not saying that All Might hasn't made mistakes--he has, that's kind of the point of his character. But I do think his flaws and mistakes are seen through a much harsher lens when he's not someone's favorite character. I have seen countless people defend and explain in excruciating detail why Shigaraki is killing people, but still needs to saved. Why Dabi being racist to Spinner is actually Endeavor's fault, so you can't really blame him. How Aizawa might want to kill the LoV now, but he's just traumatized/ brainwashed by Hero society and will come around eventually and be adopting the LoV as his kids by the end.
Meanwhile, people either want All Might to die, or have Izuku scold him about how awful a person he is once he's saved Shigaraki (and for him to stay as far away from Shigaraki as possible because Shigaraki is just to traumatized by him). In some ways All might's possible endings are as harsh as Endeavor's even though he is by far a better person, and despite his mistakes has helped a lot of people. Plus, the narrative by no means condemns his actions the way it does Enji.
So, simply put All Might having less attractive disabilities -> Less people choose him as a fav -> less thought goes into his charter -> his mistakes are seen as personal slights on the readers favorite characters -> he gets hate for calling Dabi crazy one time, where the narrative doesn't even imply this is bad.
And it's not as if I'm saying those people have to love All Might. My main issue with the hate All Might gets is similar to how I feel about Endeavor or Hawks hate--that it generally is from people who will talk about how other character's bad actions have deep complex reasons, which means they deserve sympathy, but for the characters they don't like, that same understanding is thrown out the window or presented in as negative a light as possible. Or any little thing is blow way out of proportion, like All Might calling Dabi crazy means he's a terrible person actually.

BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH . . .
Tumblr media
―― IZUKU means being able to read each other like an open book — knowing instantly when the other is sad or angry and do anything and everything in your power to make sure you're happy again. him having the utmost patience whenever you need help with anything school related and never having a problem of repeating himself more than twice. holding hands whenever possible because he wants to be close to you but still wants you to not feel trapped.
―― SHOTO includes him being prepared for anything. he always has an umbrella with him when you go out just in case it starts raining out of nowhere. if you're in either of your dorms at night and you get a craving for some snacks, he's got you covered because he has your favorite snacks inside his drawer. he's ready to go out of his comfort zone when it comes to you so he says yes to basically everything when you ask him. you could literally say you wanted to go sky-diving and he'd agree.
―― BAKUGOU means him keeping an eye on you ― it's not like he thinks you're weak, he thinks the complete opposite actually but he can't help but worry about you during a battle. he has 90% of his concentration on the fight and 10% on you and your opponent. him changing his entire sleep schedule to match your own one so that he can stay up with you and do whatever you do at night when you can't sleep ; whether it be having a room makeover or just playing some random game on your phone, he's in.
―― DENKI means screaming the lyrics to break-up songs while dancing around the room like headless monkeys. having study dates but all of them ending up with him whining and begging you to do something else. him clinging onto you whenever you watch horror movies not five seconds after he says he isn't scared. proposing the stupidest and most idiotic ideas and trying to stop the other but both of you end up doing whatever the idea was anyways.
―― SERO definitely has to include dates to amusement parks and trying to win soft toys, him getting really pissed and claiming the games were rigged when he doesn't win, but staring with his jaw on the floor as you manage to win him a prize. knowing that you can depend on each other and him always being open and truthful with you. he can't lie to you unless it's one of his pranks ― it's an exception because he loves the faces you make when he tells you it was a prank.
―― KIRISHIMA includes whispering jokes and funny stories to each other late at night when the rest of the world is asleep. cliché kisses in the rain aren't unusual when you're out on a date and it starts raining. knowing what exactly the other is thinking of ― you know those conversations between people that talk to each other about something but no one else understands what the fuck they're saying? yeah, you're that couple.

Bakugou Apologized and I Have Some Constructive Criticism
So, I read the fan translation for Bakugou's apology, and I figured I'd analyze it to the best of my ability. Well, not analyze, more like give my opinion on it.
I want to start off by saying that I'm not an anti. I'm I'm a stan either. I'm tagging this as both, though because I want to hear every side, and think about everyone's opinions so that I can make sure mine is the best it can be.
Also yes, I know it's fan translated and that the official will probably be different, but I wanted to have fun and do it anyway🥰
Please note that this is my opinion. You are more than welcome(in fact encouraged) to tell about your own opinion in the replies, but please be respectful.
Everything I write here is to be read in the most respectful and kind tone. It's how I was meaning for it to be read. I'm sorry if it doesn't come off that way, but please know I am in no way trying to be rude with anything I say.
Now then, let's get started.
Tumblr media
First of all, he starts out with a bit of an insult "you were always far behind me" thats not true, but it's Bakugou's opinion. I'm not sure I like how he states it as fact. "You were always so far behind me." Rather than "I used to think you were always so far behind me." or "I thought you were so far behind me."
Bakugou does, however, imply that him looking down on Izuku because of him being quirkless is wrong, and I think that's awesome.
After this, he starts giving a reason(a pretty illogical one, in my opinion) as to why he bullied Deku. Bakugou felt that Izuku was somehow miles ahead of him. Next he goes into what he felt, why he felt the need to hurt Izuku. It's because of something he was feeling. And of course, how could you talk about that with someone? Especially being immature and at that age(around five or so). He didn't have to talk about it, but hurting someone is never the option(we knew this already).
Tumblr media
Next he talks about how he was distant. And OK, that's good. He should have been distant.
Except he wasnt distant.
I can admit that on normal circumstances Bakugou didn't go out of his way to speak to Midoriya, but when Deku would speak to/compliment him, insults were thrown. Bakugou should have been distant then. Also, "I grew up distant and always tried to beat you down" are contradictions to eachother, imo. Bakugou, back in middle school, went out of his way to bully deku. That's not distant. Now back when they were small, yes. I'd say Bakugou was kind of distant. He still made fun of Izuku though, so he probably wasn't as distant as he thinks he was.
Next he talks about he could never truly be superior to Deku, how he always lost. But this is(in my opinion), unnecessary. He's giving all these reasons as to how things didn't work out for him, and that last part being placed well....last kinda makes it seem like because everything didn't work out right, he's sorry. I know this isn't how its meant, but I feel it could have been worded differently. I can't help but wonder, though, if Izuku had submitted, if Bakugou had been superior in his own eyes, if he'd succeeded, would he still be sorry?
In alot of cases, though, Bakugou succeeded in beating Midoriya down(temporarily). Physically anyway(the final exam, and when he impaled Izuku with his headpiece).
(Note: A differing opinion has lead me to think differently about this. Bakugou had become distant in an emotional sense, he and Deku weren't as close as they were before. No longer besties, if you understand me.)
At least, after this, Bakugou explains that he realizes nothing he said really matters. I like that he can understand this, and I appreciate that he feels Izuku is owed an explanation at least. The one thing I hate about this is that his reasoning for doing what he did is longer than his apology. His apology is one line.
Tumblr media
It's just one. If someone told me that they put me through hell because of an idea they'd placed in their own head that was so incredibly far from the truth(like Bakugou saying that he thought Izuku was looking down on him during their first battle at Ground Beta), I wouldn't feel any better. As a matter of fact, I'd feel worse about it. There is literally nothing Izuku could have done to prevent the bullying. Even if he wasn't quirkless, Bakugou back then, might not have been able to fathom the idea of someone being even a little better than him. So he probably still would have bullied Deku. Only this time Izuku might have been able to fight back depending on the quirk he would have been born with.
If someone murdered my mother, and stood in court explaining why, far more than being sorry, I wouldn't be any happier. Yes, the reason matters, but the amount of time you spend explaining the reason should be virtually nonexistent compared to the time you spend showing remorse and sorrow.
Tumblr media
I very much enjoy how he understands that Izuku wanting to leave UA and go it alone wasn't necessarily wrong. I think Bakugou is correct here. Nice Bakugou, very cool.
I'm also very happy that Izuku apologizes for saying that everyone couldn't keep up. Very cool, Izuku.
Please don't get me wrong, though. I'm proud of Bakugou for even bringing this up regardless of how he did it. I think that Bakugou apologizing is a huge step in the proper direction. I cant help but be concerned over how he'll be different in the future though.
Well, why would I be worried about this? Because he's shown promise before, but soon after goes back to being pretty rude. Bakugou explained to that child that looking down on others would prevent him from realizing his own weakness "If you keep looking down on everyone, then you won't notice your own weakness."(My Hero Academia Episode 80(sub): Relief For License Trainees -16:00). Yet, he continued to look down on others in a sense, even as recently as the Endeavor Training Arc. Bakugou's arrogance continues, even when he realizes that looking down on others is wrong. He claims that Todoroki could never notice something he didn't already notice(My Hero Academia Episode 103(sub): One Thing at a Time -7:18). And when he claims that Endeavor, the Number 1 Hero, is ripping off of his style "He's copying my Explosion" (My Hero Academia Episode 103(sub): One Thing at a Time -6:50).
Truly, I hope Bakugou's arrogance and negative confidence will subside, and we'll be able to witness him being blatantly and openly kind to others. I'm not asking Bakugou to change his character, he could become an Inosuke(Demon Slayer) of sorts. He could even become a more obvious Tsundere, with the narrative showing his thoughts and agreeing with him actually caring in a more obvious fashion.
But, that's just what I think
Once again, feel free to comment your opinion on my criticisms of Bakugou's apology, or even tell me what you think about it! I love hearing differing opinions.

Warning: Rant, character bashing, lots of opinions
I'm saying it outright. I hate Deku. He is entirely underwhelming as a character, much less as the main character, the shonen protagonist of the series.
It's a 'different' type of dislike, though. I feel like I could've like his character. There's nothing greatly disagreeable about him, he's as inoffensive as can be, he's an optimistic, considerate, and polite boy, he's as plain as he is said to be, and that's fine.
My issue is that he's not the character he's said to be. I, personally, just don't buy that he "possesses a drive to save others that eclipses all common understanding", or that he's super intelligent with great analytical abilities that he actually applies on the battlefield, or, in general, he's as amazing or heroic or compassionate as he's apparently supposed to be. How can he be inspiring if he barely challenges any aspects of the society he lives in. Deku is a super good example of the terrible use of "Tell, Don't Show". We're told about his amazing traits, but he rarely follows through; when we do see hints of it, it's lauded but frankly I think it's typical behavior and (this though is not quite his fault) written so stiffly and awkwardly I'm not convinced.
(Honestly I might even call him a Canon Mary Sue. He has no interesting or distinguishable flaws, unless having a shit for brains attitude is one but that's not acknowledged by the narrative. Breaking bones is not a personality trait. If he has a Hero Complex, it's not even the interesting ones where he fucks things up even more; or carries crippling guilt about circumstances beyond his control; or focuses completely on saving people to the point of rejecting almost all human connections and keeping deadly secrets - which is All Might's big flaw.) (Well fair, he does this in the most recent chapter but did it need to take 300+ chapters? Plus I sense the way it's framed is that it's the radical, but right course of action.)
Say what you want about Villains and redemption/shouldn't be redeemed/too evil to be saved/justice/etc, but I think this 'Incredible Drive To Save' should've included Villains from the start. Why does Deku want to "Save people with a smile on his face"? Assuming it's empathy, he should have felt some towards everyone he encounters, whether it's sensible or not. "Why are you so angry?", "You shouldn't go about things this way", "What caused them to be like this?", "Why is there evil in the world?" even. I'm still fuming over his Mall Encounter with Shigaraki, where Shigaraki pretty much reveals his damage: "All Might acts like there's no one he can't save"; but ultimately Deku goes "Wow, that sure is an opinion."
Tumblr media
What kind of inane response is this??? There's little pushback from the narrative either, so this isn't pointed out as a failing of his (because, again, he has no big flaws). And he's supposed to be smart and caring. Yes, he does ask All Might right after the Mall Encounter, "Was there anyone you can't save?"; but essentially the replies he gets is "Don't worry about it" and Deku immediately largely puts it out of his mind "Oh whew, I was about to do some introspection and reflection". There isn't even the daunting, kinda-existential anxiety that people get when they realize it's impossible to save/help everyone - which is something, like, medical workers have to learn to deal with - that sharp sense of the inevitably of death, of loss, failure, guilt. I'm not asking for him to come to the conclusion that everyone should be saved - he could've decided nah, Shigaraki is too ugly to be saved and I would've been fine with that, it's part of the character role and potential development - just that he should've had a conclusion at all.
There are the latest chapters where Deku decides he wants to try saving Shigaraki first (though killing him is still on the table), true. Him wanting to save Shigaraki after seeing AFO merged with him, after seeing The Crying Child - but see, I don't think it qualifies because I think it's the bare minimum about of consideration, the typical response to seeing the body horror of warped, fused flesh, to seeing a small sad little boy. I think it shouldn't require "You look like you needed saving" for a true Hero to consider saving someone. Not for someone who is supposed to be unique and special in this regard.
*
I've complained about this before, but the trouble with Deku was evident from the very beginning.
Again, Deku wants to save people with a smile on his face, and again, I’m assuming it’s empathy. We're shown this on the very first page, as he attempts to protect a friend(?) from bullies, but imo like it felt groundless because who was the kid he was protecting? We never see him again. Did Deku's standing up to Bakugou work, and the kid was saved? Or did they both got beaten up; but afterwards, being the kind boy Deku is supposed to be, he still gets to his feet to help the boy, to apologize for failing.
But more significantly, this theme of saving was overshadowed immediately by his focus on superpowers - that he was quirkless. Next page, his focus was on ‘Woah, giant villain and superpowers!’ Instead of like. Helping people. (Though I chalk this up to early installment weirdness)
What should’ve happened if the theme was ‘SAVE PEOPLE’ Is something like: The opening sentence being “People are not born equal. This is the harsh truth I learned when I was four. I knew that... but despite my powerless, I still wanted to help. That was my first and last setback.” And the panels/images themselves (of little Katsuki and his friends) implies that people on the world thinks you need power to help people.
When he saw the villain attack on way to school, Deku can be wow’ed by the spectacle! But then he notices a kid crying and offers to help find his mom. He can be interrupted by a Hero saying he (the hero) will take over, he can find the mom and realize he’s late for school (and so that shows he’s willing to sacrifice something of his to help others! Because of his altruistic nature!). A scene like that, of him helping the lost kid, we would know that he wants to help *anyone*. At school, though, he still gets bullied for not having powers. So he’s mulling over that when he meets All Might, and asks the question.
It proceeds as usual for the next few events: When the sludge monster attacks Katsuki, he can still go gawk at the scene. He can still hesitate. In canon, it's only when he realized the victim was his friend that he jumps into action, which I thinks undermines the theme of 'wanting to save indiscriminately'. IMO, it would've been better that Deku sees it’s his friend, but he still hesitates. “There’s nothing I can do right? All Might himself said so...” But when he sees Katsuki’s *face* of fear, he runs to help. Instead of seeming like he helps only because he realizes it’s his friend, he helps because he feels too deeply about trying to save Katsuki.
Admittedly these are minor, personal critiques; but all in all, the first chapter fails to establish Deku is the willpowered, champion of wanting to save people he's supposed to be.
--Which is fine, if it's acknowledged in the story later, that maybe he wasn't the True Blue Hero he's supposed to be at first, but he can change and still become one. But it's not - Deku is apparently special, without anything special to show for it.
*
I read the one-shot "My Hero" - the prototype for this series - that Horikoshi published years ago, before My Hero Academia was created. I also found it underwhelming, but that was due to personal tastes (I wanted more explosions and dumb violence); as a story on it's own merit, the logic and progression was solid.
The Villains Heroes fought were 'Aberrations' - true inhuman monsters that showed no sentience that would eat people - so the focus could be solely on saving humans. The main character - Jack Midoriya - his original goal was less 'save people' and more 'become a cool hero', before learning that saving people is what true heroism is about, hero license unneeded. (Moreover, he really did 'save' someone without being a hero - by working hard, he was preventing the company from becoming ruined completely, which the CEO had confessed and thanked him for. )
This version of Midoriya didn't exactly needed deep empathy or compassion for that, just a strong willpower, which he effectively demonstrated by chasing after a childhood dream even as an adult salaryman in a tanking company, even though he had anemia and no training and no license. He insisted on this, to the point of getting hurt by being dumb, of being petty over someone dissing the Hero who inspired him in the first place, of skipping out of work and going vigilante. Not the most upstanding guy, but he came through in the relevant themes of the story, in being the character the story needed him to be.
Tumblr media
Jack Midoriya was an unimpressive, weird-looking, weak, pitiful, somewhat selfish, awkward salaryman with no great aspects that 'eclipses all common understanding'. But he was a far stronger character than his incarnation Izuku Midoriya could ever be (so far).

Chapter 2
Hisashi Makes A Decision
Hisashi sighs as he sits down at the dinner table. "Didn't think it would take so long to get myself situated." He complained.
"Well maybe it wouldn't have taken so long if you'd hadn't brought back so many souvenirs!" Inko teased in reply. Hisashi gasped in mock-hurt. "But Inko! I had to spoil my beloveds to make up for being gone so long!" He pouted. "Izuku back me up here!" He turned to his son for support.
Izuku giggled. "Yeah mom! Plus he got me several exclusive US and Western release only hero merch!" He exclaimed excitedly, "Even the special limited edition, only 150 copies made, American All Might Comic Arc Crossover Event with Pre-Quirk Era Hero Superman!!! Mom isn't that so cool!?" The fanboy went on to gush.
"Izuku inside voices." Inko scolded gently. "And remember to breathe." Hisashi added with a raised brow and teasing smile.
Izuku blushed and put his hands back down to pick up his chopsticks. "Sorry..." He mumbled.
"It's quite alright Izuku, you know I love when you talk my ear off about your interests. I always learn something new!" Hisashi comforted his son.
The Midoriya family settled and ate their dinner. Once most of the plates had been cleared away, Hisashi cleared his throat to speak.
"Izuku." He called looking at his son. "Hmm?" Izuku hummed in response setting down his drink. "Yeah dad?" He focused his attention on his father.
Hisashi stared at Izuki with a serious expression. "Izuku, your mother told me that something happened at school yesterday that kept you here at home on a school day," he paused and took noticed of his son's anxiety," now as much as I'd like your skipping to be because you wanted to greet me, I don't believe that's the case. Izuku," Hisashi called his name to ensure he was looking at him in the eyes. "I need you to be truthful and not hold anything back, what happened?" He asked.
Izuku stared at his father's sharp eyes and then turned his face away to rub his eye with his shoulder. "N-nothing happened...I just wasn't feeling well." He said.
"Izuku..." Inko implored her son gently, "please Izuku tell your father what happened, everything that's happened at school since your diagnosis."
Izuku wilted in his seat but stubbornly kept his mouth shut. "Izuku," Hisashi called but received no answer," if you don't tell me, then maybe the Bakugous can shed light on the situation, you and Katsuki are in the same class, so if I talk to hi-" "NO! You can't talk to Kacchan!" Izuku exclaimed slamming his hands on the table in his haste to stop his father. The table fell silent with his interruption.
Hisashi looked at his son in suspicion. He went on to think about the conversations he's had with Izuku over his years abroad and any discrepancies noticed. "Izuku..." He began, "did Katsuki have anything to do with whatever is going on at school with your quirklessness?" He asked his son.
Izuku did not answer, aside from turning paler.
"No Katsuki would never! Right Izuku?" Inko exclaimed and turned to Izuku. He did not agree. "Izuku?" Inko continued quietly, "he...he didn't right?" She asked with growing trepidation.
Izuku trembled, he was able to keep it for so long, he didn't want to put stress on his mom, but while he was able to explain away things to his mom easily his dad was a whole nother ballpark. He'd be able to poke any holes in the story and sniff out lies faster than All Might could say his catchphrase...he took a deep breath.
"He...he might've..." Izuku mumbled to the table. "He might've or he did Izuku?" Hisashi asked. Izuku hesitated and then confessed. "He did." Inko gasped in shock and Hisashi sighed and shook his head, he moved to lean against the table beside Izuku. "Izuku will you tell me what has happened in school since your diagnosis? Everything? Truthfully?" He asked gently. Izuku nodded. "You wanna do this here or on the couch?" He continued in a soothing voice. Izuku nodded his head to the couch and his father gently took his shoulder and guided him there. "Ok, whenever you're ready." Hisashi said when the settled.
Izuku took a deep breath, held his mother's hand when she joined them. And began to speak. "It started...the day I came back from diagnosis and the teacher announced it to the class..."
---------------------------------------
Hisashi sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose after putting Izuku to bed. Inko closes their son's door gently. "I, I don't know how I couldn't notice, how I believed him..." She sobbed and Hisashi hugged her in comfort. "The cons of having a too smart kid with a too big heart." He comforted. They stood there together for a while until Inko calmed down and pulled away. "I'm going to bed." She said. "I'll join you later. Wanna mull this over a bit more." He replied. "Ok." Inko acknowledged and kissed him goodnight.
Hisashi walked to the kitchen table and dropped into a seat with a deep and tired sigh. He leaned on the table and held his chin in his hands as he thought about how to fix this problem. To think his precious and sweet gem was suffering so much. He didn't get descriptive but it didn't take a genius to tell it got physical and doesn't that make him hold in a growl and bare his fangs. To think so much suffering just because he didn't have a quirk! They've only been around for 200-something years! Nothing compared to a dragon's lifetime, how society has fallen... He doesn't like how things have been escalating and worries for Izuku's Junior High years at this rate. 'But what school can he trust to be non-discriminatory and do something if an incident happens...' Hisashi thinks deeply...and then it hits him. "Monster High!" He cheers to himself. And then slaps his mouth shut to make sure he didn't wake up his treasures. He looks in direction of the bedrooms but not a peep and sighs in relief. "Monster High!" He whispers excitedly to himself. "They added a Junior High wing a hundred-something years ago, this is perfect! Izuku will get to learn his scaritage, get away from the toxic Hero Society and Quirkism of Japan and won't have to worry about confrontations with his abusers! Oh I have to make calls." He went on giddily. He pulled out his iCoffin and dialed.
*rrrrringrrrrringrrrriiin-click*
"Hissashi-oji?" His niece answered.
"Jinafire! My lovely, most sweet and kind ni-" Hisashi began.
"Get to it." She demanded with a huff.
"Right! Could you walk me through the process of signing up for a foreign exchange student to Monster High?" He asked pulling out his laptop from his case by the entrance. "I'm pulling the forms on my laptop as we speak."
"I'm going to see my cousin in persson for the first time ever?" Jinafire asked with some excitement slipping into her voice.
"Yep, a lot of him since I called to ask you to put an eye on him and also explain his scaritage." He answered as he pulled up the Monster High schoolsite. 'With quirks they were able to do away with most needs for the Monsternet so at least some good things came from that mess..." He thought wryly.
"He doesn't know his scaritage!?" She exclaimed.
"Yeah... Monsters are still a secret in the normie world, Jin. We may be able to walk around more freely with our freaky flaws on display but we can't come out and say we're monsters." He responded.
"..." His niece didn't answer for a bit, taking his response in. "Ok, I'll look after him." She finally said after a pause.
"Thanks Jin, it means so much to me, now about those forms..." Hisashi said gratefully.
"Alright so here's what you need to do..." She directed.
----------------TimeSkip---------------
Hisashi sighed with delight as he entered the kitchen with Inko cooking away. "Ah homemade food! Its been too long!" He said cheerfully coming up to his wife and wrapping her in his arms.
"Oh! Hisashi!" Inko exclaimed in surprise. "I'm making breakfast!" She scolded.
"I'm just showing my affection and thanks!" He defended but backed off. He may be fireproof but she wasn't and he didn't want her hurt. "So, I've come to a decision about Izuku's...situation." He announced as he sat at the table.
"What kind of decision?" His wife asked as she folded the egg in the pan. "For Junior High, instead of attending a school here in Mustufafu, he'll be attending one abroad!" He answered happily.
Inko paused, and after turning off the heat on the eggs and lowering the one for the miso turned to him. "What!?" She exclaimed.
'Ah' Hisashi thinks with sudden clarity 'maybe this won't go over as well as I thought it would...'

A deal with the devil.
Tumblr media
Warnings: Swearing, its 4,5k words (I'm sorry someone teach me how to write something smaller than at least 2k)
Pairing: Bakugou x fem!reader
Genre: pure fluff
A/N: I have one more Bakugou fic after this cuz if it’s not apparent enough I’m a baku simp, but after that I have one shinsou and todoroki ask so bear with me and my simping a lil longer pls, what else, uhhh, enjoy!
Tumblr media
Synopsis: you want to learn to ride a motorcycle and Bakugou is the only one that can teach you. And if you thought convincing him to teach you was hard, you'll see it's worse when he's actually teaching you.
Tumblr media
"I want to learn how to ride a motorcycle." These were the words that caused everyone in the room to stop whatever they were doing and stare at you.
"What?" You asked, feeling uneasy under the stern gazes of your friends. "Why is everyone staring at me?"
"We're just waiting for you to tell us it was a joke," Mina answered your question, chuckling awkwardly as the girls shook their heads in unison. You gasped dramatically, shocked at how little they trusted you. "I'm not joking, I'm serious!"
This led to another awkward silence, and it was Mina, once again, who broke the silence. You were hoping for at least a few encouraging sentences -something along the lines of you go girl!- but rolled your eyes at her when she said, "Sweetie, are you sure?"
"Oh my God!" You groaned. "Of course I'm sure. Why isn't anyone supporting me?" You looked at your friends expectedly, but their expression didn't change.
"Oh, it's not that we're not supporting you- we're just worried and don't think... You should be doing it." Momo said with a cute smile, probably hoping you to smile back and drop the subject, but you pouted. "Momo, that's exactly what not supporting means."
"Y/N, you know we love you and will support you at everything,” Ochako stated, but before you could even smile she added, “but, we're concerned. You know you're kind of... a little too clumsy.” Girls nodded as she carried on. “Actually, you're the clumsiest person I know!" She had one of her pretty, cute smiles on her face as she said the last sentence, and you almost wanted to laugh at how her upbeat attitude while calling you clumsy made an interesting contrast.
You scoffed. "Oh, come on. I'm not that clumsy."
"Oh, but you are." Mina stated, "you're not only clumsy, but you're also really... How do I say this-" she snapped her fingers as she remembered the word she was looking for, "unfocused, and you literally have no idea whats your left or right is." She muttered the last sentence and the girls giggled.
"What?!" Your face scrunched with confusion and at the insult you didn't even understand. "What does that even mean?" Yeah, what did that mean? Yeah, you did daydream quite a lot, and zoned out almost constantly, a little too much to tell the truth too, and though you did know your lef and right, you kinda did just mix them once in a while-
"Ooh." You said, understanding why they were so worried, and what they meant. You had to give them credit, you riding a motorcycle wasn't safe...  But still. You wanted to learn, and nothing could make you go back from your decision.
"Yeah, I see your point, but still. I want to do this, and I'll ask Kiri to teach me. I know he rides a motorcycle, and he's pretty good at it too! I'm pretty sure he can deal with my- whatever it is I have."
Your friends shot you a worried look, but they were familiar with your stubborn personality and knew you would do whatever it takes to learn it.
You stood up to find Kirishima as you rehearsed your speech in your mind. You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even realize the door was closed, and you walked right into it. "Oh, fuck." You mumbled under your breath, trying to ignore your friend's giggles.
As you walked out of the room, you kind of understood what unfocused meant.
~~~
"Kirishima, please!" You whined, you felt a weird urge to stump your feet on the floor like a little kid but kept yourself from doing so.
"I'm sorry Y/N, but I haven't been riding it long enough to teach anyone. Especially not you."
You gasped in an (overly exaggerated) shocked way. "Shoot me, it'll surely hurt less." You were trying to make him feel a little guilty, but you knew he was right. "I'm sorry, I really am!” He said, feeling bad when you looked at him like he just slapped you. “But uhh, you could try your chance with Baku? He was the one who taught me too, after all."
"Yeah, like Bakugou's ever gonna accept to teach me. Not even you would teach me, one of the nicest guys I know, let alone him!"
"Eh," he said with a toothy grin, you saw his cheeks reddening ever so slightly. "Shoot your shot. Maybe if you catch him in a good mood, you can convince him."
You pouted. Did Bakugou even have a good mood? Well, he did actually, but only when he beat the shit out of Izuku in training lessons. Other than that, he rarely even smiled.
"Yeah, I guess I'm gonna ask him. Thanks for your help, though." You said, half sarcastically but he didn't catch it. "Yeah, no problem!"
You exhaled the breath you didn't even realize you were holding. You weren't only hesitant because of, well, Bakugou being himself, but also because you had the biggest crush on him.
It was weird, really. You hated that you had a crush on Bakugou, and by doing so, you hated him too, but even that didn't prevent you from having a crush on him.
But you knew how he was the worst type of person to have a crush on, and you also knew he didn't even like you the slightest, the moment you met. So you decided it was the best to stay as far as you could from him and acted like you weren't, well, amazed by him.
He didn't make it hard either, and you didn't even know why you liked him so damn much. But you did, you were just thanking God Bakugou was such an insufferable person, so it was easy to hide your feelings as you could act like you couldn't stand him.
You realized you were in front of his dorm room, and you panicked since you didn't even plan what you were going to say, but you thought it would be better to just go with the flow this time. You gathered up your courage and knocked on the door. When the door opened, you thought you were going to go deaf from how loud your hard was beating. The door opened, and your gaze met the crimson eyes. You opened your mouth to say something as a little smile tugged on your lips-
The door shut in your face.
"Who was it?" You heard Denki's voice from the other side of the door. Bakugo tch'd as he answered, "Some extra I don't have time for." You couldn't say that didn't hurt, but you proceeded anyway. "Hey Denki, it's me, (Y/N)!"
You heard some shuffling voices coming from the room as you heard Bakugou's harsh voice. "If you open the God damn door, I'll blast you in-" The door opened as you saw Denki, the biggest smile on his face. "(Y/N)! Just the person I wanted to see."
He pulled you in a tight hug and hugged you even tighter when you tried to get away from him. "Get a fucking room. I don't care which one, but just stay away from mine." He mumbled as Denki snorted.  It was obvious they were studying, and you felt bad for interrupting it.
"Bakugou, you don't have to be jealous." His eyes widened as he growled frighteningly. "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU-"
"Anyways, why are you here?" Denki asked to you, ignoring the fuming guy behind him. You were sure ignoring Bakugou was not the right thing to do, but you went along with it. "Oh, I just have to ask Bakugou a... Favor." You eyed him for a second. Was he in a good mood? You didn't even notice Denki exiting the room, leaving you two alone.
"What the fuck do you want?"
Probably not. But no going back now, you told yourself.
"I- I, have a favor to ask you." You said without meeting his gaze.
"No." One word made your head snap up, your eyes looking at his, now almost as angry as him. "What?! You didn't even hear what I have to say!"
He shrugged. "I said no. I don't do favors, nor do I have time for you, or whatever it is you want." He leaned up and was about to exit his room, but you gathered your courage, the words leaving your mouth almost in an angry tone. "I want to learn how to ride a motorcycle!"
His legs froze in their place as his body turned to you, his red eyes now angrier than ever. You didn't know why he was angry, but again, he was always angry. "You wanna what now?"
"I want to learn to ride a motorcycle." You said, this time a little calmer. "No." The word found its way out of his mouth once again.
"Oh my God, Bakugou, can't you at least think about it?" You stood up, now facing him. His shoulders so broad, muscles so defined, his face so- no, no, no, you had to concentrate.
"I thought about it, and my answer is no. What even made you think I would teach you?" Well, you had to give him credit, it was near impossible to convince him to do anything for anyone, but for desperate situations, you had to take desperate measures.
"Bakugou-" you said, your anger had disappeared, leaving it's place to sadness, desperation, and humiliation. His eyes a little surprised to see you so calm all of a sudden, you bit your lip as you forced yourself to beg him."Please... Please teach me, because no one else can! I- I'm begging-"
"Shut up." He said without letting you finish your sentence, and you couldn't help but feel relieved, you couldn't bear the thought of literally begging him, and once did his anger help you.
"Why would I do it? What could you offer me back?"
Now that was something that didn't even cross your mind, well on your defense, you didn't even think you would come this far! So you acted without thinking.
"Anything you want!" You realized your mistake almost the second you said the words, but you couldn't go back now. The smirk on his face made you feel uneasy.
"Now that's a deal." He said, his smirk still lingering on his face. "Come here tomorrow at 5 pm. One minute late and the deal is off."
"And Bakugou?" You said a little nervously. "What do you want back?"
This time his smirk made you feel straight-up terrified. "I'll hold on to it for a while, I'll let you know when I decide what I want."
Damn, this was a bad idea, wasn't it? He wasn't a predictable person, and now you gave him this power, the kind of power you would feel afraid giving to anyone, let alone to Bakugou. He knew you, knew how much you valued promises, knew you would go drastic measures to hold a promise you made. So now he could even make you murder Midoriya, though you doubted it, you were sure he would rather kill the green-haired boy with his own bare hands. But still, he could make you do anything.
***
"You know you're the last person on earth that should be learning how to ride a motorcycle." He said as he looked at you angrily. "If you continue to zone out like that, I'm not letting you get on the motorcycle."
For the last 30 minutes or so, he was talking about each part of the motorcycle, and it was only normal for you to zone out, he was your crush for God's sake, and this was all so boring. "Okay, I'm sorry. Can we just... Ride it now? I'm sure I'll understand it better while I'm on it."
"What kind of stupid logic is that?" He said but stood up nevertheless. Your eyebrows furrowed when he sat on the bike and turned the engine. "What are you doing?"
"Did you think I would let you get on it alone? You're sitting behind my back first." That sentence shouldn't have made your heart beat faster, your cheeks redder, but it did anyway.
You sat on the engine, the motor roaring under you, making you feel excited, the caramel and spicy smell coming from the man in front of you taking your breath away, making you imagine things you shouldn't. Your hands rested shyly on his shoulders, his spiky hair, surprisingly soft, touching your hand.
"Hold on to me like that, and you'll be on the ground the second we leave." He said, and you had to bring your head closer to him to hear what he said, your lips almost touching his cheeks. When you didn't move, he rolled his eyes and wrapped your arms to his waist, making your heart beat even faster. You could feel his abs underneath your hands, which made your cheeks burn, and you were so grateful he couldn't see you right now.
Without even telling you he started the engine, you almost slid on the asphalt, which made your hands grip him tighter, your whole body leaning on his. "There's nothing to be afraid, dumbass." He said, feeling your tight grip.
It took you a few seconds to get used to it. It was an incredible feeling to go this fast, feeling the wind and smelling everything around you. You still tightened your grip on him every time he took a turn, but he was riding it so smoothly, you felt... Safe.
You always felt safe around him, anyway.
Without even realizing what you were doing, you leaned your chin on his shoulder, his hair tickling your face, the smell of caramel making you dizzy and you tried to etch this moment in your mind, knowing you probably won't get a chance to be this close to him ever again.
When the engine died beneath your legs, you felt a bit sad because it ended but smiled nevertheless. "That was amazing."
His chest puffed with pride, and a smirk found its place on his face. "What'd you expect?"
"Death, if we're being honest here." You said, which made his eyes narrow.
"So, my turn?"
***
“I said left!” He screamed. “This is the third fucking time you mixed your left and right! How can you even do that?” He had screamed so much, you were worried about his voice. “I just mix them, okay?!” You answered, making him even angrier.
Having Bakugou as a teacher was hard. But then again, having you as a student was probably harder.
Everyone who told you that you weren't focused enough was right. You did zone out a lot, even -and especially- while riding, which ended with you almost dying more than you could count. But Bakugou could count, and boy was he pissed.
Once when you took the sharpest turn because you zoned out and almost tossed in the wall, you knew Bakugou was going to kill you, if you didn't kill yourself first, of course. Apparently, he was thinking the same thing.
"Oi! If you have a death wish, tell it to me beforehand, and I will do it for you!" He practically screamed, his red eyes now bright with anger resembling flames.
"I'm sorry I just-"
"Don't fucking apologize! Focus!" But how could you focus when he was this close to you, looking deep in your eyes and damn did he smell good. "Yeah, sorry." You mumbled.
"One more time and I'm done with this shit." He threatened before getting away from you. "Yes, sir!" You joked, but he rolled his eyes, probably begging God to save him from you. "Look, while taking turns, use your lower half. You have to bend your hip the way you're turning so it will turn smoothly."
His eyes may have lingered on your hip a little longer than necessary.
A few hours full of almost- deaths and heart attacks past, and both of you were tired. The sun was setting, and you felt hungry, you were pretty sure he was also starving.
"So um, thanks for today. I'm kind of tired, but would you like to eat or something? There's a noodle place close enough and-"
"No." Ugh, he loved that word, didn't he?
He wore his helmet, getting ready to go back to the dorms. When you were in front of him he put your helmet on your head, his touch surprisingly soft and light.
"Thanks."
"Shut it." A long, awkward silence lingered in the air as he sat on the motorcycle. "Now, where's this noodle place?"
You couldn't hold your smile in.
~~~
It was a smooth ride, you noticed how his hips moved every time he took a turn, his body moving as if he was a part of the engine. The setting sun painted everything in red and orange tones, and it was so pretty that it took your breath away.
When you were in front of the noodle place you climbed off the motorcycle, but your legs were so shaky you couldn't find your balance and would have fallen on your knees if Bakugou hadn't hold you.
"Tch, can't even stand on your legs?"
You stuck your tongue out, acting like a child, but you didn't care. You were just happy he tagged along with you to eat.
You found a booth, he was sitting across you with a look on his face you couldn't quite understand but chose not to say anything. The whole meal he was so quiet it made you worry a little, at the very least, he was the loudest person you knew and him staying so quiet for such a long time was against his character.
When you both finished your meals and got ready to go back to your dorms, the silence went on, but you just couldn't bring yourself to ask that one question that was occupying your mind. Are we going to do this again? It wouldn't be a shock if he called quits after today.
It was only until you came back to the dorms he broke the silence. It was such a stressful ride for you that you couldn't even enjoy the chilly night and the caramel scent coming from him.
He looked at you as he shook his motorcycle gears off of him. "The noodles were okay, I guess."
Your eyes widened as a giggle bubbled in your chest. So that was what he wanted to say first? You couldn't help but snort, earning a glare from him. "What the fuck is so funny?!" His anger seemed to fuel your laughs even more since you felt like your tummy was going to explode from laughing so hard. "I'm sorry- It's just..." You couldn't even talk and he finally tch'd. "Whatever, just shut up already."
"Okay,” you said, breathing deeply, “I'm good now." He didn’t say anything so you felt obligated to break the silence. "So, thanks for today- for everything. For actually bearing me and taking me as a pupil takes the first place, though." You said jokingly, and he rolled his eyes. "You're not that bad of a student I guess." You gasped as an answer to that. "The Bakugou Katsuki complimenting me? I must've died sometime today."
He rolled his eyes once again -either he had a serious eye problem you didn't know of, or he just couldn't stand you- but this seemed like it was his 100th time today. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. Don't get used to it, dumbass. You won't be hearing any more of them the other lessons."
"Wh- What do you mean by the other lessons?" With this, his crimson eyes snapped up, looking at you with an unreadable expression. "Are you that dumb that you thought one lesson was enough? Or is it that you can't stand me so much that you would rather not ride a motorbike?" He tried to hide his hurt by looking mad, but you saw it either way.
"No! I would love you to teach me more! I just thought you would've just given up after... today. I know I'm not a good student, and you don't have time for- what was it again?" You snapped your fingers. "Extras."
He ignored your remark, he was looking at your face like he was searching for something but looked away when he saw you looking at him too. "I don't do anything half-assed. Even if you're a bad fucking student, if I told you I'll teach you, I'll fucking teach you."
That was an odd way to motivate someone, you thought, but it worked anyway. So you smiled at him and went back to your dorm, without even realizing the effect your smile had left on the angry boy.
***
You had to admit, it was a long week. Meeting with Bakugou every day after school, learning a new skill was harder than you had thought, but you secretly wished for it to never end, either.
"Can you focus for like three seconds?" An angry voice fumed behind you. "What are you thinking about anyway? This much dreaming is not healthy, you know." You decided that telling him that you were thinking about him wasn't a good idea, so you just smiled. He had brought water for the two of you, and you accepted it gladly. You hadn't even realized how late it was until then.
The sky was a dark purple, the stars were shining brighter than ever. When Bakugou saw you looking at the sky, he scoffed. "It's getting late, wanna go back?" You shrugged, though you didn't want to go back the slightest. When you didn't say anything, he opened his water bottle.
You couldn't stop yourself from watching him drink the water -rather aggressively, too- how his adam's apple moved, his eyes fluttering with the feeling of the cold liquid going down his throat. You gulped at the sight, feeling your cheeks warming, and you drank the cold water in one go, to at least get rid of the warm feeling that was growing in your chest.
You were so focused on the task of figuring out what the hell was this tingling sensation that went through your body every time he touched you, or why your heart beat faster he smiled so subtly, you didn't even realize Bakugou was watching you too, thinking the same thing as you.
Bakugou crushed the plastic water bottle in his hand, making you flinch with the sound, and once again focus your eyes on him. You didn't understand why he was angry now, but you stopped trying to do so after the first day. You were about to ask him what was wrong but stopped when you heard Kaminari's voice.
He had a cheeky grin on his face as he walked towards you. "Hey, Y/n!" You smiled back, relief washing over you. "Hey, Denki! What's up?"
He shrugged. "Nothing, kinda missed you this past week, and when I saw you guys here, wanted to come and say hi." You could feel Bakugou getting angrier with every passing second, but you decided not to notice. "Oh, I missed you too." You answered when you heard Bakugou scoff, which caused Denki to giggle. "I guess I'll see you at the dorms tonight, it's getting late, though." He said as he started to walk away.
You shrugged, staying up late with Denki was what caused you to have a non-existing sleep schedule. "Sure." You answered before turning your back at him and facing the now angrier than ever Bakugou. "So, you and Dunce face, huh? You guys a thing?"
It took you a second or two to understand what he meant, but when you did, your eyes widened, cheeks now beat red. "Oh, fuck no!" You exclaimed without thinking. His eyes widened at the curse that found it's way out of your mouth, and you thought this couldn't get any worse. "I- I mean, I love Denki, just not that way- and I got surprised when you..."
You stopped talking when you saw a smile on his face, which grew and grew until it was a full-on laugh. It was the weirdest thing, hearing Bakugou laugh. But as you watched him -in awe- as he laughed, you couldn't stop yourself from thinking that he should laugh more. It just suited him so much, how his body bent forward a little as he laughed, his eyes narrowing and almost hiding the bright red orbs.
"That was the best fucking thing ever." He said after he calmed a little. You had started to laugh with him too, though you didn't think anything was funny, you just couldn't help yourself from laughing when he laughed.
His eyes found yours, and you shared a look that lasted longer than it was supposed to.
"Bakugou I-"
"Y/N, about the-"
You both had talked at the same time, making you giggle. "You first." You said, and he snorted. "Of course me first." Okay then. "Remember the promise you made? About doing anything in return for me to teach you to ride a motorcycle?"
You fidgeted, feeling uncomfortable with the topic. "We did have that deal, yes." He laughed at your reaction, his crimson eyes softer than you had ever seen him. You didn't know what was causing your heart to beat so fast, was it the dark sky creating a weird, romantic aura, or was it his eyes looking at you that way?
"Then I want you to do something." Why was he looking at you like this? You couldn't understand what his gaze meant, but it was so different from his harsh, angry look that you just couldn't look away.
"If you ask me to go kill Midoriya, I'm not doing it." You answered, and he rolled his eyes. "Can you shut up for a fucking second? I'm trying to ask you out here."
Your eyes widened, bigger than he had ever seen them, as you choked on your voice. "You what?!"
"You fucking heard me." He scoffed, but you could see the fear in his eyes. "As your part of the deal, I want you to... Go on a date with me." He looked at you expectedly. "Or kiss me, whatever pleases you." Bakugou smirked as you punched his arm, face burning.
"I would love to go on a date with you." You smiled, and he grinned as he tried to hide his relief. "Of course you'll go on a date with me, you promised after all."
"Worst deal of my life." You said jokingly, but he stopped walking suddenly. Maybe it was a little too early for those jokes, you thought and tried to fix it. "I didn't really mean-"
"And you'll not go meet Dunce face tonight for whatever the fuck it is meeting for." You rolled your eyes, scoffed as you started to walk. "Oh come on, Bakugou, no need to get all jealous now."
"Jealous, my ass." He muttered, but he swung his arm over your shoulder, just in case.

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡💜💜
Shinsou arc complete ??
Tumblr media
Paring: Shinsou x Reader 👀👀
Genre: Angst
Taglist: @bakuhoetoedoroki @foxypuppy
Plot: You only have nine days to tell him how you feel but...maybe you've been chasing the wrong guy.
"Why did you drag me out here, Bakugo."
Shisou puts one of his hands in his pockets as he stares at the surprisingly quiet Bakugo.
"You know exactly why I called you out here, Tom Cat!"
"Tom Cat? Now that's a new one"
" UGH JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN! It's about Y/n."
Shinsou gives Bakugo his full undivided attention after hearing that he wants to talk about you.
"Ever since Mr. Aizawa informed to the class about Y/n's qurik that shitty Deku been making theory about how to save her."
Shinsou eyes widen, "Wait really! What were some of his theories?"
"HIS THEORIES THEY ALL SUCKED! I BLEW UP HIS NOTEBOOK AFTER READING ALL OF THEM."
Shinsou let's out a long sigh saying, "Why am I not surprised" as he exhales.
"My theory is way better! Y/n's quirk only awakened when she fell in love right!? Well with you I mean!"
"Yeah, you're right on the money...but where are you going with this"
" Well,what if she falls out of love with you and she falls for someone else."
"Someone like me".
-Meanwhile back inside with Y/n and Momo-
"Ok ok this is fine everything is fine"
"FINE! NO EVERYTHING ISN'T FINE!" Momo says while shaking you furiously.
"MOMO STOP SHAKING ME! I JUST NEED TO LAY DOWN FOR A FEW!.
"Oh....are you sure, Y/n?".
Before you can respond to Momo you feel a tap on your shoulder, you turn around and see that it's Mei Hatsume.
"Oh Hello Hatsume-" In a instant Mei takes your hand and drags you off leaving Momo in the kitchen.
"H-huh! Umm Mei?"
"Sorry Creati, me and Y/n need to have some girl talk! I gotta introduce her to one of my babies!
Even though Mei has a huge smile on her face, you can feel her grip on her you arm tighten.
"Yeah, Momo I'll be ok just keep the party going!".
The chanting of Izuku name can be hear as you are being dragged out of sight and eventually out of mind.
Momo stares off wonder if she made the right choice because for some reason she didn't like the engery Mei was giving off.
"Umm Yoayorozu?"
"YES IM HERE AH, TODOROKI!?"
"You have a line of people asking for more cookies, it seems someone has ate them all" Todoroki glares at Uraraka that currently stuffing her face along with Mina and Kaminari.
"Oh hehe right I'll get right on it!."
...
Mei bring you into a random as she closes the door behind her.
"Soooo...what little robot did you make today Hatsume?" Y/n chuckles even though this situation feels awkward.
"I'm not here to show you anything...I just need to ask you something, it's about Shinsou." You notice that Hatsume is visible angry which makes feel uneasy.
" Oh Hitoshi? What about him?"
"Shinsou... is he your boyfriend?"
"BOYFRIEND?! PFFFTTTT NO NO NO NO! S-SHINOU IS JUST A FRIEND"
" oh so kissing is a friend thing?
(" Not right now!")
"So you won't tell the truth now...you're just like a him A BUNCH OF LAIRS"
"Huh? L-look whatever is happening between you and Shinsou has nothing to do with me"
"IT HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH YOU!"
Hatsume starts poking you with her finger, pushing you back as she angrier and angrier.
" Because of YOU Shinsou wants nothing to do with me."
"It's YOUR FALUT that me and him aren't together!"
"WHY DOES HE CARE ABOUT YOU ANYWAY WHEN, YOU DON'T EVEN WANT HIM!"
Hatsume pushes you into a closet and blocks it with something but you can't see that it is.
"HATSUME! HEY LOOK IM SO SORRY I-I THOUGH YOU AND SHINSOU HAD SOMETHING!"
"We did until you came along! AND TOOK IT ALL AWAY"
"Yesterday I went to Shinsou's house to check on him....I-I called so many times and all he did was push me away! HE PUSHED ME AWAY FOR YOU!"
"Shinsou didn't even want to talk he used his quirk on me and walked away".
Y/n puts her head on the closet door and sighs "Hitoshi...no he couldn't have.. b-but even if he did that give you no right to put me in here!"
"You'll stay in there until someone finds you..if they do. Hatsume walks to the door, you panic as you hear her footsteps slowly fade.
" HATSUME! LET ME OUT!"
"Don't worry just sit tight and enjoy the party~ oh! I almost forgot if you're looking for your phone it's...broken"
Hatsume says after throw your phone at wall leaving a big phone sized hole.
" Bye Y/n, I'll keep Hitoshi in good hands I promise".
You kick on the door screaming for help as you voice as muffled by the loud party music right outside the room. Leaning against the wall Y/n can't help but think about how everything she feared would happened.
"GASP! Is this you finally facing reality HAHAHA! GOOD!"
"Oh pipe down you stupid cat! I already gotta deal with this closet bullshit I don't need you right now"
" Now you don't wanna face the consequences of your actions? It's because of fools like you that think they have any control of there fate! They only set themselves up for failure."
" I do have control over my fate!"
"And yet when your given the options to change you don't take it! That's why you're a fool."
"You're right...I've been doing this all wrong... after this party I swear I'll make the right choice!"
"Tch...such a foolish response but I'm not surprised."
"YOKAI, SHUT UP!".
-Y/n continues to try to break out of the closet but she fails, she gave up after what feels like 3 hours until she eventual fell asleep-
" OI KIRISHIMA! DIDN'T I TELL YOU TO MOVE YOUR FUCKING WEIGHTS!"
Kirishima yells from across the hallway "Sorry BakuBro!"
Bakugo then notices the square shape hole in his wall and proceeds scream.
" WHO THE HELL LEFT THIS HOLE IN MY WALL! WHO THE HELL WAS IN MY ROOM!"
"I KILL WHOEVER DARED STEP IN MY DOMAIN!"
Bakugo glares at his closet as he hears rustling coming from it. Bakugo moves Kirishima's huge tower of dumbells and flings opens his closet.
"TIME TO DIE YOU BASSSSssss...tard? "
"Mmh?" Y/n squints, at the blurry figure until it comes into focus and she sees Bakugo.
"Oh...hey Bakugou hehehe"
"Why are you in my closet!"
Y/n faces palms "It's a long story...and I don't think you'd be believe me".
Bakugo smiles as he picks Y/n up help her get up "Knock yourself out I'll listen and I'll believe you, as long as it sounds believable."
-Y/n tells Bakugo everything that transpired and he's rightfully pissed-
" HUHHHHHH!!!! ARE YOU SAYING THAT GADGET GIRL DID THIS ALL BECAUSE OF THAT STUPID TOM CAT!!!!!?!?!"
"Pffffttt did you just call Shinsou a tom cat and me GADGET girl!"
"Quiet you!"
" Ugh DAMMIT! We just told him to leave too we all been looking for you, I can't believe that took 3 hours!"
Y/n's fall on Bakugou's bed and screams into one of pillow.
"3 HOURS!!!!"
" Yeah"
" AND SHINSOU JUST LEFT!"
"Yeah he actually left with sparky, but if you leave you'll be able to reach them."
Y/n feels something gentle grab her hand, she moves the pillow from her face as she stares at Bakugo who is...looking away.
" That is...if I let you"
"Hey...Baku-GO!"
Katsuki lays his head on Y/n's lap "Oops" he said with a smirk
"BAKUGO COME ON YOU'RE TOO BIG FOR THIS!"
" Thanks for the pillow, alley cat"
"ALLEY CAT! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPLY YOU ANGRY POMERANIAN!"
-As you whine at Bakugo he blocks you out for a sec. He can't help but think out what happened outside with him and Shinsou-
....
"Bakugo...don't tell that you-"
" I LIKE HER OK THERE I SAID IT! At the end of the day I'm a hero and if see someone in danger DAMMIT IM GONNA HELP!"
Bakugo gets in Shinsou's face
"You're a fool to think you could ever have a future with her, you should've stuck with Hatsume."
" BAKUGO! YOU'RE NOT TAKING HER FROM ME."
"YOU DUMBASS GET OVER YOURSELF IM DOING THIS FOR HER!"
....
" HEY BAKUGO ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME"
Bakugo snap back to it...only to hear your whining which irritates him.
"OI! SHUT UP!"
" NO I REFUSE!
"OI THE OTHERS ARE GONNA HEAR YOU SCREAM SO SHUT IT ALLEY CAT!
"BAKUGO YOU SHU-Mmmh" Bakugo simply SHUT you up with a kiss.
-Meanwhile Shinsou is walking with Kaminari-
" Hey you think they found Y/n yet?"
"Why are you worried?"
" YEAH! AND YOU'RE NOT!?????"
"Kaminari, Y/n gets lost all the time she like a cat, eventually she'll come back."
Right.
"Hmmm you're no different huh"
Shinsou quickly turns around to see who said that " Hey Kaminari did you hear something?"
"No...OH GOD YOUR GOING MAD BECAUSE OF YOUR LACK OF SLEEP!"
Shinsou slaps Kaminari in the back of the head.
" Dummy your brain is just fired"
" So he can hear me now"
Suddenly Shinsou falls to his knees and grunts in pain " AHH! OW ow ow!"
" Shinsou! Hey you ok man?"
Hitoshi looks in front of him and see a purple cat with a devilish grin on it's face.
" You're truly nothing but one and the same....a fool."

An AU where Izuku said yes to Shoto when he asked if All Might was his father!
Have I done something like this before? Probably. Am I going to go back through every ask game to see it? Nah
1. Izuku doesn't know why he said yes. He's not even sure if he said yes, because it felt more like a squawk to him before he covered up his mouth, but Todoroki is nothing and saying he knew it before going on about quirk marriages, and asking if that's where he came from too, and he can only shake his head which at least is true, but why is he asking??
2- "I figured All Might wouldn't have sunk to that low." Todoroki nods. "And if he had, he would have done a better job than my father. Your quirk is strong, it feels just like All Might's, but your body isn't built to handle it just like my oldest brother's body wasn't built to handle hellfire." Izuku has many questions. Apparently the oldest brother is dead and when he says he's sorry, Todoroki just says it happened a long time ago and he didn't really know him. He doesn't really know his other brother either, and Fuyumi only since their mother was hospitalized after burning his face and she took over. Izuku has even more questions just as many concerns. Todoroki is trying to answer them while also getting to his vow thing, since Izuku did answer his question at the start.
3. Around the corner, Bakugou is eavesdropping and totally not freaking out too. Yes, he's wracking his brain to remember any detail about Izuku's family- he knows Izuku's mom is an old classmate and friend of Bakugou's dad, remembers that Masaru called Inko one year to invite Izuku to Katsuki's birthday party, and then Katsuki had thrown a fit and Mitsuki had declared he'd deal with it if he wanted any gifts at all and swore to invite Izuku personally next time, but a year later had seemed to have forgotten about the threat and Masaru didn't try again. He vaguely remembers a woman with green hair. But surely, if Masaru knew his friend had bagged All Might, he would have said something. But he might not have known. But no, because Izuku can't be All Might's kid, because he would have said something. Had he ever mentioned his father? Bakugou was pretty sure the guy worked abroad, but maybe he was remembering something another old classmate had said instead?? Except none of that made sense, because Izuku was quirkless. And also had told him his quirk had been given to him. Which also made no sense!! Bakugou decides the answer is simple: Izuku is lying, either to him, to Todoroki, or to both of them. And he's going to find out the truth. After he beats both of them at the SF. Priorities after all.
4- After the fight with Todoroki, Izuku is in a hospital bed while Toshi looks over him. He wants to tell him everything, but is afraid of breaking Todoroki's trust. But Izuku's lie about his father involves Toshinori, so... He tells Toshi about what Shoto asked, that their quirks felt the same, and about his brother. Dimly, Toshi thinks it's kinda weird of Endeavor to push a kid to use fire when he's doing pretty well with ice, considering uh fire is the one that killed his older son, but most of his brainpower is being used to focus on "secret lovechild". And then he gets very apologetic because he's sure Izuku cares for his real father very much, except when he says that Izuku just shrugs and goes "eh I don't really think about him, haven't seen him in years" which means.... Free Son.
5- Bakugou derails his fight with Todoroki not to insist on him using his fire, but on him saying that obviously All Might isn't Izuku's father. Todoroki points out that the obvious connection, but Bakugou hasn't been around to hear any of the lunch invitations, and since he started investigating this mystery, uh, two hours ago, all he found was this weird tall blond skeleton hanging out around Izuku. Surely if he was All Might's son, All Might would have shown up to wish him luck. Or, you know, at any point at all in their childhoods. And really, he's known Izuku for most of his life, does Todoroki really think he's figured the guy out in a few weeks? (This whole conversation is happening while explosions and ice are flying, btw.) Todoroki just stares at him, and points on that on the first day of school, the whole class saw Bakugou flip out and act like Izuku was "supposed to be quirkless", so of course Todoroki didn't think Bakugou actually knew Izuku that well, if it all. Bakugou is blindsided enough by this that a bit of ice pushes him just over the lines. On the second place podium, he's got a very blank expression. When All Might leans in to put the medal on him, Bakugou quietly asks about Izuku, and Toshi's denial is suspicious enough to be confirmation. Bakugou fully bluescreens. Todoroki, meanwhile, tosses his first place medal to Izuku before leaving the pitch that day, because he doesn't want his father to be happy about having that in the house, and because he sorta owes it to him after helping him work through his issues. Izuku gives the medal to Uraraka, who pawns it off, sends half the money to her parents, and spends the rest of it taking her friends out to a celebratory dinner, which Izuku and Shoto and Tsu enjoy immensely. You'd think the person having the worst time that night is Tenya, at the hospital by his brother's side, but actually it's Bakugou who's interrogated his father for anything he's ever heard about Inko's husband and is trying to figure out if an affair with All Might or her and the real Izuku selling his identity to All Might's actual son is more likely.

Ask Game: How about bio dad might for Bakugo?
1- he puts him up for adoption like i do this ask- i kid i kid
lets try to make this fun, hmm
1- Ok so Toshinori gets Masaru pregnant (oh my god he's a support designer not unlike David. Toshi you can't keep doing this.) and the baby just has a boosted version of Masaru's tiny sparking palms, big explosion palms. because ofa i guess. Except, Masaru is like 'i dont think i can handle being All Might's lover publicly but also i don't think i can handle being a single parent' so when Mitsuki is like Interested he just jumps on that immediately. Toshi figures the baby is safer with a normal couple, pays child support and gets sent pictures occasionally, but doesn't want to impose any more, tho tbh both of the bakugous would be fine if he did.
2- Katsuki has no idea btw. He was told once that Mitsuki was actually his step mom and he didn't believe it. Both his parents figured he didn't need a bigger ego and didn't tell him the truth but did have a lot of fun giggling over getting him All Might merch. This sounds funny now but oh man will it contribute to issues once he knows the truth-
3- speaking of issues, Toshinori does recognize the kid in the slime that the previous kid in the slime is rescuing. he doesn't say anything, but he's extremely glad that this perfect worthy successor kid happened to also save his son. In a panic of losing someone he's never really had, Toshi asks Masaru if he could meet Katsuki in person, maybe start visiting. They and Mitsuki discuss it (complete with injury reveal) and decide why not, though continue to keep his identity a secret. So Toshi spends three hours a day as All Might, and the rest of his time is focused on training Izuku, and in rare breaks from that, hanging out with the Bakugous. Katsuki takes a month before he really believes this guy is who his parents say he is, but he decides the training tips aren't half bad- for a toothpick coughing up gallons of blood every day. For his own part, Toshinori doesn't really pick up anything amiss yet in the family- remember at this point, Katsuki has started to leave Izuku alone, and wouldn't mention him to Toshi anyway. Busy with training and not getting into trouble, none of the more questionable of Mitsuki's and Masaru's parenting choices would be causing much issue or be obvious then.
4- And then UA starts, and on the first day, Toshi watches behind a building as his son attacks his successor, and is as surprised as he is unhappy. but he's not sure how to bring it up, or to fix anything. So he just tries bridging things as All Might for Izuku and as Yagi-san for Katsuki, which... is a process, and also crazy that none of the students realize anything is up there. But so it goes. highlights of things that actually get better because of this: at one point, as Katsuki tells Yagi-san that its a problem because Deku is supposed to be quirkless, Yagi tells him that he's quirkless. Based on his parents expression, Katsuki assumes they didn't know either, but it doesnt make any sense because Yagi isn't annoying and creepy and weak like Deku, he's good at giving hero advice and- oh. oh katuski doesn't like that realization and shoves it down deeper, but also doesn't bite as much about it. Also, Katsuki admits how awful All Might giving him the medal at the SF was for him, and Yagi is very quiet. All Might apoligizes to him the next day.
highlight of something that is so much worse: the final exam.
5- SO THE REVEAL its gotta be at kamino right. The Idiot Rescue Squad has succeeded and are watching the news, and see... All Might lose power on camera. Izuku is already basically in tears, but at the sight, Katsuki reacts by going "OTHER DAD???" which shocks Izuku out of feeling anything else but "WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL HIM???"
there's a lot of shocked screaming. Iida can't even say anything and Kirishima is on the ground giving up trying to understand as Katsuki and Izuku realize how they're both connected to All Might.
The police finally come help take the kids home. No one dares breathe too loudly or text anyone, afraid of another explosion of conversation like that. For his part, Katsuki is going to shake answers out of Toshi as soon as he steps into the house, no attempting to hide behind Aizawa will make it better. Once that... ordeal of a visit and explanation is done, Toshi wearily suggests he have the conversation with the Midoriyas alone. Aizawa looks at the Bakugos, looks at Toshinori, and is like 'oh hell no im not missing this for the world. lets go round two'
