Things I think of when I think of: SVT
notes: these are things I think of when I think of the members of seventeen. these are my own opinions. this has also morphed into them as boyfriends as well, so enjoy both
bonus notes: sorry if this is kinda sucky, I tried my best but ideas haven't been coming to me as easily as they normally. Hope you still enjoy though
permanent tag list: @plutominho @soobin-chois
skz | seventeen

Honestly, I also see him screaming whenever you do something cute to him, I mean come on HIS GIGGLES?! Music to your ears. Choi Seungcheol Best Laughter !
jeonghan:
cheating on games, teasing, flirty banter, teaming up to (affectionately) annoy the other members. Cooking for everyone. Watching you and smirking because he knows you're who he loves and he's slightly cocky about it, but he also is just genuinely amazed at how you could love him as much as you do. and make sure he never forgets that. playfully scolding him when he teases the babies a bit too much. texting you random things, but when you text back he leaves you on read only for him to respond two hours later with 'lol, forgot to text you back'. Will spam you with face time calls when he's on tour or just when he's bored.
joshua:
serenading you, gentleman, watching you from across the room with a loving gaze, hand holding, low-key pda, wholesome couple, if spring was a person it would be joshua, I can't tell you why or how I feel this way, but I do. praises you, you guys have photos together, but not many, you as his home screen, a photo of you in his wallet, falling asleep on the sofa watching a movie at night whilst drinking wine, brings you flowers if you like them that is.
jun:
cats, lowkey matching items like rings or necklaces, mood rings, taking bad selfies together just because you can, tops/shirts with long sleeves, visiting cafes together, slow dancing at midnight in the refrigerator light, feeding each other, himbo junhui<3, watching the sunset and just watching the colours reflect onto his face, being so smitten with each other that everything he does just makes you blush and swoon, protective and sweet boyfriend jun = will do everything to make sure you feel loved and safe.

Be his #1 supporter because he's your #1<3
wonwoo:
gaming together, linked pinky fingers, sitting on his lap or between his legs when he plays a game, feeding him snacks, over-sized jumper, reading dates, picking out books for each other, annotating books for each other, winning you a stuffed toy, placing bets on who can win more tickets in the arcade. cooking for him, and enjoying food in general together. he's a quiet but sweet boyfriend, he does things more in actions than words, but his words are also just as sweet.
jihoon / woozi:
sweater/hoodie paws, studio dates, playlists, love expressed more in action than in words, songs about you (a whole separate folder of songs about you), marvel movie marathons, take-out dates aka bringing him take-out to his studio, matching anime pfps, another quieter boyfriend but still loving, he doesn't get jealous often doesn't feel the need to not because he doesn't love you or doesn't care, but he knows you love him and wouldn't do anything that would cause him to be jealous. loves you for you and the way you are and the way you treat his brothers.
seokmin / DK:
love notes on sticky notes randomly spread around your apartment, singing in the shower, daisy chains, the way the sun shines on a warm day, cheek kisses, hand holding, giggling at all times because he’s just so funny, singing on road trips, dancing in the kitchen in refrigerator light, comedy duo, sunshine couple, he has photos of you two in his wallet from a photo booth, him attempting to do your make-up if you wear it, wearing his jumpers cause they're always so warm and smell like him. he's a soft and loving boyfriend, not jealous in any way.

minghao / THE8:
art dates, fashion shows, motivational talks, real-life talks at 2am, realistic advice, photography dates, dancing at the studio and bringing them lunch/dinner, low-key matching outfits, candid photos, painting, and being each other's number one supporter. understanding and communicative. doesn't feel the need for jealousy or anything petty. will tell you things even if you don't want to hear them because he loves and supports you and wants the best for you
seungkwan:
laughter, basically being a two-person comedy show, warm hugs, sassy banter, giving each other (affectionate) glares, teasing when you're around other people, but alone you tell each other all the sweet nothings you could muster. playing with his fingers with you're cuddling and sitting together. can be jealous, but not because he doesn't trust you, but more other people, can glare and be petty towards other people. You're his and you're his favourite person so no one else can have you in a not creepy way.
vernon:
chaos, yet chill. ik it doesn't make sense, but at the same time, it does. colourful clothes, purposely taking bad photos. making memes of each other, having a folder, especially for each other and their photos (and memes), late-night dates where you don't do anything in particular, but just chill, vanilla that's the vibe I get from him, it's not bad and it might be classed as a basic smell, but its also a comforting aroma and that's what I see Vernon as, someone that brings comfort. no need for jealousy here people, vernon knows you and loves you and the same for you to him, so there's no need for that. having a cat baby together, sending photo updates of said cat baby.
chan / dino:
dino’s baby, dance dates whether that's at a class, in the studio or at home. wearing his clothes, getting you to take his photos for his Instagram, movie nights, a lot of laughter, mutual teasing, I don't think he'd get jealous that much but maybe he'd have moments where he'd doubt more himself and not you, streaming all of his danceology videos<3, him as your lock screen and home screen, you're his #1 supporter, you shower each other in this pure love that can make others jealous, wishing they had what you guys have.

Man, it's super rare I have a truly unpleasant experience in a roulette, but I just had a healer go off on me for explaining a mechanic they (along with everyone else in the group) stood in repeatedly. I don't normally explain mechanics unless people are failing it every single time, and the healer was struggling as it was (due to casting cure 3 on only me, spamming medica 1 instead of medica 2, etc) (which I did NOT comment on), so I figured it might be nice to do so. Here was my typing-between-actions explanation:
Tumblr media
I was on an alt that still has his sprout, so they sneered about "pro tips from the sprout tank who ignores mechanics." Which I was not, of course, doing, I just still get hit by raidwides (which I reprisaled when it was up) and autoattacked and tankbustered (which I used cooldowns for). Monstrous of me, I know.
They were probably mad the mechanic I explained finally killed them towards the end of the duty (I limped across the finish line with the one surviving DPS) but man. Sorry for being right?
As a bonus, their friend made fun of my 'palworld' name (my unremarkable lore-ish name, while they were named something with a barely disguised swear in it) in the course of calling me a crap tank. They are, of course, the other person who died to the mechanic I explained.

Round 3: Chara Dreemurr (Undertale) vs. Jason Todd (DC)
Tumblr media
Propaganda below the cut
Chara Dreemurr (?):
They were constantly blamed for killing all of monster kind in the no mercy route, despite players choosing to go that route. People ignored that they sacrificed themselves to attempt to free the monsters from the underground.
----
everyone wants to blame their own actions (genocide route) on chara, who is a literal child. i don’t know how to tell you this but you are the one playing the game. it’s about YOUR CHOICES. chara is there is punish you for that, you killed the only family that ever loved them! how could they not be upset at that! also if you don’t mind, here’s a good video essay on the subject
youtube
Jason Todd (~12):
Most of the Tumblr fandom likes this guy but if you step outside this website then wham so many people say he got what he deserved as a kid and Batman can't be cool if he's a dad so it's important for Batman to trash-talk his dead child constantly so we can all agree what a bad idea it was. Also wanna highlight that a lot of the records we have from fans at the time were clear they disliked Robin for BEING a child. Like a lot of the little dude characters in this tournament are treated too harshly for making an ugly choice and the fans aren't being understanding or sympathetic that the choice is made by a child character who is immature and not developed and strong enough to make a good choice and stuff. But THIS little dude was specifically hated FOR being a child. People wanted tough loner guy Batman not Batdad and his little buddy. The first Robin would drive back from college and guest star sometimes and be advertised as the Teen Wonder and people were like yeah okay but then Batman actually starts being a single parent for a child with needs and people were like UGH not the BOY Wonder. Today pretty much everywhere you see Batman fans saying Batman is better solo, no kid, it's not realistic to have a kid, a kid shouldn't be in the movies blah. Even if the comics they always find a way to send away the new kid so that Batman never has to parent. So all the Robins are being excluded from the narrative but I think this one is THE symbol of Batman fans hating a child character just for being a child.
-
Robin, Jason Todd, THE hated child character. In the 1980s, Batman comics had become increasingly dark and gritty. According to editor O'Neil himself, the courted audience wasn't kids but 19-40 year old men with disposable income. Batman's child sidekick, Robin, was offensively campy and childish. Fans called him wimpy, annoying, dumb, bratty, etc. Also people complained that Batman acting like an affectionate dad was unmanly and gay. Robin acts violent and emotional and people are like "ew he's so childish and emotional"—and then Batman literally acts just as murderously and emotionally within literally the same exact story and people are like "wow he's so dark and tortured". So in 1988 (after brutalizing Batgirl to get rid of her for being too bright and nice and kid-friendly), DC held a paid poll for fans to vote for Robin to live or die. O'Neil claims he heard a fan (a grown man with a dayjob as a lawyer) programmed a phone to spam kill votes. One fanguy claimed that he sold his Mercedes to buy kill votes (probably an exaggeration but still). By less than 1% margin, the vote decided to kill Robin in a spectacularly violent way. Anyway the 1989 Batman movie brought in a huge wave of new child comicbook fans who liked the new Robin (a very cool teenage high school Robin with a driver's license and a girlfriend), and DC started a separate Robin-less Batman series called Legends of the Dark Knight to make the anti-Robin writers and fans happy. But to this day, many fans agree it was a good idea to kill off the other Robin so that his foolish death reminds other characters to never be childish and stupid again. Bonus: the current Robin (usually a traumatized 10-year-old) has also been facing some pretty loud hatred for over 15 years.

Shadowy Grinding
Okay. I've heard a lot of things about Shadowy being really hard to grind or being a stat that lags behind. I've also seen some recommendations for grinds that top out at ~3 CP per action, which is worse than finding a menace free check and using a Weasel of Woe.
With the help of my good friend @adorablegorilla, I learned of a much more efficient grind - and, as it happens, it uses Watchful!
TL:DR - 16+ CPA Shadowy grind at peak efficiency
Requirements:
150 Watchful for 100% on checks.
17 Palimpest Scraps per run through, maximum. You can use fewer based on an Airs style randomness.
Access to Moloch Street and Spelunking in the Sunken Embassy.
Access to the Dome of Scales, Occupied.
This is most efficient when done in multiples of four, but is generally more efficient at higher repetitions.
Instructions:
Spelunking in the Sunken Embassy, use the Consult Scholarly Tomes action (unless Locate an Inner Sanctum is available, in which case use that), get up to 600 Fragments and turn them in for an Oneiromantic Revelation.
Turn the Oneiromantic Revelation into 5 Vitreous Almanacs, which you can then turn-in 4 of for 275 Shadowy CP at the Dome of Scales.
Analysis:
If you have 150+ Watchful, this takes 20 actions to generate 5 almanacs. After four runs through (80 actions), you can turn in 5 times, getting 1375 Shadowy CP over 85 actions total.
This calculates out to 16.176 CP per action, and 19.6 levels (once you're above level 70) over four runs.
A single run is only 13.1 CP/A, but that is still quite significantly better than selling casing gained in the Flit, or Woesel farming.
Comments:
I don't count the action or honey used to get into Parabola because I'm assuming you'll turn in the grind whenever you need something else from beyond the mirror. Also, the minor profit you get in nevercold steel will definitely cover the cost of that honey if you're truly worried about it.
If you have VERY high Watchful (297+), you don't need the Palimpest Scraps, and you'll get slightly more steel in the end. I don't know how to farm Palimpest Scraps - I bought them from the Rat Market for some Uncanny Incunabulum.
I'm not sure exactly how this compares to Loitering Spam (where you farm a ton of Hastily Scrawled Warning Note with another account and then sacrifice them in your Social Engagements tab). This just happens to be single-player and, as far as I can tell, more efficient.
I'm not counting the Watchful CP gained from the checks, though you can estimate that you'll get about 14 CP per run through on average (so, ~0.67 CPA). Not as important, but a nice bonus if you're not capped on Watchful.
Plus, turn-in grinds are very fun to finish, as you get to see massive leaps in your stats all at once!

Okay so I picked up another demo, now that I'm done with Unicorn Overlord demo. I am a wee bit late to the party on this, but decided to try Triangle Strategy. And this is. A very different experience.
I played for about an hour and a half. Approximately 10 minutes of that was the one (1) map. The entire rest of the game was scenes, and a bit of exploration. In comparison to Unicorn Overlord, which is incredibly fast-paced, this game is veeeeery slow.
The story itself isn't bad by any means. But it's also not that interesting? Like it's fine, but I'm not wowed by much. the protagonist is fairly bland, his friends are fairly bland, Frederica is cute but not particularly interesting, your dad having Old Man Disease at 40 is tragic I guess. The background cause of the war and the fact that all parties seem pretty on the level right now is the most interesting angle. But it hasn't exactly gripped me.
Which is really weird! I'm like an hour and a half in, with barely any gameplay, and despite all this story and character stuff, I have very little to say about them. I don't feel like they're any more developed than the Unicorn Overlord crew, which wasn't exactly a hugely developed group either. It's just an odd, slowly paced experience that doesn't have a whole lot to show for that.
As for the minor gameplay I did engage in, it's fine. Fire Emblem-esque grid movement, but you only attack on your turn (barring counter skills), and positioning matters. After each turn, you need to determine which way your character faces, and the direction you attack from matters, in as much as striking from the back is a sure-crit. There's elevation tactics as well, but that didn't seem to save the cav dude who got fucking annihilated when opponents got behind him and wombo comboed his ass to high hell. Was probably supposed to use healing items but it's map 1 and permadeath isn't a thing, your ass is grass dude. I admit that I think it's a little more involved than I think it needs to be, but I did at least recruit a girl whose stealth tactics are interestingly integrated by having two actions to facilitate getting behind the opponent to attack, and what I assume is the armor knight who moves less distance having the counter skill. Oh, and if you surround them, your ally that attacks from the other side will combo for bonus damage.
The...I forget what they're called. The 3 point stock things you can spend for skills. They're...odd. For characters like Frederica and butler-man, you need 2 for your special, and recover 1 every turn, so you can't do that every turn. But then you have the protagonist's delay attack, or Heal. And these are 1 point free actions. So I seem to be allowed to do this infinitely without any kind of issue. And...maybe it's just me, but nonstop infinite heal seems really fucking good, dude. it's also very...reminiscent of Octopath Traveler, in that it very, very feels like endgame is a matter of maximizing these points for a specific character to spam their big attack to deal with huge HP values on bosses.
I did take a peek at the forge system. Fun fact, I generally don't like forge systems. I dunno, man, just trade out the weapon. The system eats a lot of money, and takes consumable resources, which...okay. Depending on the availability of resources, I might hate this one. We'll see.
I still need to get more gameplay to feel like I have a sense of how the gameplay is. And hilariously, am still waiting for the story to actually ramp up. I'm guessing that will happen at exactly the moment the demo ends.

Bells Hells C2 Class Swap AU
Basically just giving the Hells the same class as their player's Campaign 2 characters and getting a bit different approaches to the plot beats.
Orym: School of Divination Wizard
Divination goes with Orym's ridiculous perception
He specifically chose to learn divination magic in order try to foresee and forewarn if an attack against Zephrah is coming
He's also very upset that his divinations have had trouble turning up anything about Will and Derrig's killers
Fearne: Path of the Storm Herald Barbarian
Obviously her Storm Aura is desert, because that's the fire barbarian
She uses a great sickle like Deni$e since she does have a Moon Sickle in canon
Fearne is probably a bit more like Lionel in that she's a happy, excited barbarian most of the time. Of course her "always got for the kill" policy means she gets vicious when serious.
Probably also prone to a lot more headbutting as an attack given her goat-like nature as a faun and melee fighter class
Laudna: Way of Shadow Monk
She's always had an affinity for shadows and spookiness, so this subclass fits.
Also Witchy Bitches magic through ki ability
Delilah is still around, but definitely more as a haunting spirit and unwanted advisor, since there's no warlock multi-class. Maybe she grants Way of the Long Death abilities because of the whole necromancer patron thing, though a multi-subclass is probably overpowered
Imogen: Order Domain Cleric
Obviously, Imogen has no clue where her divine gifts come from (it's Predathos/being Ruidusborn)
Order Domain because it's whole deal is mind fuckery to bring people into your sense of order (which also matches with Ruby Vanguard cult shit)
Maybe a slight reflavor that it's not a sense of order she's imposing, but a sense of blackmail from mindreading
Chetney: Hexblade Warlock/Oath of the Ancients Paladin
Oath is about toymaking and bringing joy and light to children (so his god is the All Hammer since that's the crafting god)
Also not that great at Kindle the Light because he's a bitter, crotchety old man. Mercy and forgiveness have sort of fallen off the menu
Fighting Style is Dueling, 'cause he wants to shank a bitch with bonus damage
Definitely looking forward to the day he gets powerful enough to not suffer the drawbacks of old age (Level 15) 😝
Look, the little man uses carving tools as his weapon of choice, it had to be Hexblade
His patron is some sort of wolf-ish Krampus-equivalent, for punishing the Naughty. It just goes with his Christmas Special origins
Pact of the Chain for a wolf familiar. Though it's probably not a normal wolf...
FCG: Mastermind Rogue/School of Enchantment Wizard
Mastermind rogue could actually be used for therapy, if your intent is to manipulate someone into being their better self instead of doing whatever you want them to do
Also the mimic speech patterns is how FCG ended up with their accent in canon, so...
Plus ability to spam the Help action as a bonus action, and this bot wants to be helpful!
Honestly, School of Enchantment is more support and mind fuckery skills for them
This version is just very magic-enhanced therapy focused
Which also kind of lines up with the Care and the Culling background of manipulatively helpful to get in close before driving in the knife
Ashton: Order of the Lycan Blood Hunter (reflavor)/Forge Domain Cleric/ Phantom Rogue (reflavor)
Taliesin technically has 3 character from C2: Mollymauk, Caduceus, and Kingsley, bringing 3 different classes to the table between them, so options to mix and match for multi-class or just go straight
Order of the Lycan is the blood hunter subclass closest to barbarian. Though I'd give it the dunamancy reflavor of amplifying Ashton's elemental power/heritage/potential, so the hybrid form is basically going earth elemental, while the heightened senses maybe get replaced with a Blind Sight or an earth vibration Perception check ability with advantage
Fighting Style is Dueling, because their hybrid elemental form is big/strong enough to wield the hammer one-handed. Play whack-a-mole for bonus damage! 😂
Honestly considered War Domain because they're a fighter, but found I liked Forge Domain for being a bit more elemental. Dash of dunamancy is that he's an earth genasi with growing potential for fire magic, thus crossing an elemental boundary. Basically, they're going from pure earth to volcano.
Also, Forge Domain fits his love for punk handicrafts, and is definitely a domain that can be picked up in Bassuras
God would probably be the All-Hammer because he's the crafting god.
Though an argument could be made for unwitting Luxon follower, as it reaches through time for its galaxy brain chosen one. Ashton just thinks they believe in the light of the stars or some shit
Phantom rogues draw on the souls of the dead, so I reflavor this as drawing on their other possible lives in the galaxy brain. There's always a version that knows something relevant when they're infinite possibilities 😉
I recommend cleric and one of the other two classes if you want multi-class. Just rogue or blood hunter for a singular class as the cleric-dunamancy connection I cooked up is a bit weak
Some Events/Points of Interest
Chet actually was a werewolf, once upon a time. But he got cured of it, and that led him to one of his classes, depending on if it was a kind savior (paladin) or making deal to lift the curse (warlock). And he respects and remembers that time of his life with his Pact familiar
Thanks to his divination skills, Orym probably had a good feeling about what was coming the day he met the Crown Keepers, and the day he met the rest of Bells Hells. And a bad feeling the day Bertrand died, and the day he faced Otohan (both in Zephrah and Bassuras)
If Ashton is a blood hunter, Orym definitely has thoughts and extreme curiosity about their hybrid form. Which he can't be blamed for because he's Ashari
Imogen was considered a useful problem in Gelvaan, because her psychic/mindreading abilities were off-putting, but her healing abilities as a cleric are, well, "god-sent." Smaller towns are always grateful to have magic healing available and all
FCG is more pushy about his therapy attempts. And more subtle in execution, as they feel the need. He just really wants to help everyone's mental state, and is too inexperienced to quite understand when he needs to back off for a while
Laudna takes advantage of her oddly pliable body to move in strange ways for her dope monk shit. Like, she's very flexible to the point of accidental joint dislocation, so people aren't always ready for the ways she can move
And Laudna can fit herself into some tiny spaces because of the way she can fold herself up. Sometimes Imogen would sneak her into town in a large bag while it was just the two of them
Fearne takes protecting Orym very seriously (because he's a squishy wizard in this AU), but it can be tricky in a fight given her area-of-effect Storm Aura damage. There were definitely a few times Orym got singed pretty good at the beginning of their relationship

nah 'cause i saw this cute live action Eric edit on twitter, and i liked/rted it immediately til the 2nd half of the edit bashed cartoon Eric, I'm like huh??? since when we start hating him. it made me chuckle, bc some of the memes were funny, but i ended up taking back my like/rt so fast-, let both films be great~
I definitely noticed the most common bashing at the original movie is aimed at Eric and the romance (though, bashing at the original Ariel is also a thing, but that's a rant for another day).
They use arguments like how the live-action remake developed Eric and the romance more and... yeah, it's almost like adding 50 minutes of runtime to your movie does that to the development of your characters and their relationship, at that point you have to try to underdevelop them.
I wanna bet my entire ass that none of that development would've happened if it had to work with the same runtime the animated movie has.
Another argument is live-action Eric being "more romantic" than animated Eric, despite them deleting some of animated Eric's best moments. For example; "I lost her once. I'm not gonna lose her again" and how animated Eric is the one to find Ariel and still treat her as a honarary guest right away despite her not being the mystery girl (to his knowledge).
Both versions have strengths and weaknesses, but none of those weaknesses are big enough to break either version.
Also don't get me started on them praising live-action Eric for things animated Eric already was!? For example, an adventurous spirit that felt out of place in the royal life style and came out of his shell thanks to Ariel. The only major changes live-action Eric got was having a collection of his own and being adopted.
I'm sorry, I love live-action Eric as much as the next guy, but at the end of the day he'd be nowhere if he didn't have animated Eric to build on top of.
That applies to the entire movie, honestly. These people gotta learn to give some respect to the animated movie that made it possible for this live-action remake to exist in the first place.
And I'm saying this as someone who loves the live-action remake, I'm sure my spam reblogging the past week is proof of that, but I'm also someone who's always loved Eric and the romance for as long as I can remember and sees the live-action more as a bonus than it "fixing" something that was never broken.
I'm all in for praising the new TLM, but when it comes at the cost of the original TLM, I'm out.

And Now For Something Completely Different:
☎️ SPAMTON APPEARANCE HEADCANONS ☎️
"Megan, why are you talking about Spamton? *gasp* You abandoned Zanzo!"
1. This is my blog
2. No I haven't. He is still very present in my conscious.
Anyway...
Addison Spam
Made out of hard light. (One could walk through an Addison. Feels tingly and warm.)
Grey dot eyes, wears glasses
Smaller than all the other Addisons, 4'0"
Puppet Spam
Hair is synthetic (probably nylon), thick fibers both crunchy and sticky from whatever (improvised?) hair product he uses.
Plastic head and hands, plush body
When I've drawn Spamton, I tend to make his head more proportionate to his body. (But still kind of big.)
Has the sleep doll eyes. Irises are heterochromatic - pink and yellow. At the time Kris encounters him, the irises have silver streaks. Eyes tend to stick in odd positions.
Construction of his head limits his neck rotation. He can only turn roughly 90 degrees. If he needs to see directly to his side, he has to turn his body.
Body is stained and stitched up in places
Stomach is spongy foam, the rest is firm like a densely stuffed toy (specifically those vintage plushies. That stuffing retains scents like you wouldn't believe.)
There's a slit in his upper back revealing what appears to be a ventriloquist dummy control stick. Spamton tapes over the hole, but it never holds for long.
Articulated four fingered hands
His limb joints are similar to Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. Or a Raggedy Ann. Just the stitched bit.
Little nub feet, like a Raggedy Ann
I like the juxtaposition of Spam having a physical presence while becoming socially invisible.
Spamton Neo
Noodly bootleg action figure looking dude
Rough seams, haphazard paint, floppy limbs
Glasses are his eyes. Flashing light bulbs/leds behind them.
Head is more proportionate to body
About 10' tall
Wings are aesthetic only - he cannot fly.
Spamton Ex "Argus" (the nickname could change but idk)
Half animatronic, half mannequin, one hundred percent unsettling (My personal view is: "Is it really Spamton if he doesn't look at least a little uncanny?" EDIT: That being said, I hold no grudge against folks who draw/imagine the Spam Man as hot or cute or beastly or what have you)
His eyes are acrylic/glass with plastic lids. His nose is separate from his face mask. Seams at the eye line and across the cheeks under the mask.
Spam can emote, though it's limited. At least he isn't stuck with the "award losing smile".
Head is proportionate to body like Neo
Plastic and metal robotic skeleton with ball joints and wires. There's a heart cavity in his chest which opens to unleash his [Heart On A Chain].
Built-in Disk Drive so he can swap between bodies as needed.
The face and arms from hands to elbows are covered by silicone. Everything else is foam padded fabric, with special attention given to his pecs and posterior. ("FOR MY [Fellow Freaks].")
Hands still have four fingers. He has retractable wheels in his feet for when he needs to ZOOM.
About 7' tall, midway between Puppet and Neo.
Bonus: Two Different Human Spams
"Gary Sampson" and Sharron Ware
Mr. Sampson is a short (~4' 7"), stocky human with pale white, pink tinged skin (rosacea), hazel eyes, and thinning salt-and-pepper hair. Assumed to be 35+ years old, exact age uncertain.

Fate and Phantasms #300: Vritra
Tumblr media
today on Fate and Phantasms we’re making another demonic snake dragon goddess, Vritra. she might have class disadvantage against the other one, but her name’s faster to type so I’m grateful for that. Also, unlike Ibuki Douji, Vritra turns into her giant snake dragon rather than summons one, so that’s fun!
she’s a Moon Druid for the aforementioned snake-turning-into, as well as an Eldritch Knight Fighter to turn that snake into a proper dragon while still being dang good with a vajra.
check out her build breakdown below the cut, or her character sheet over here!
next up: didn’t we just have an MMA santa?
Race and Background
I know we just pointed out the similarities between ibuki and Vritra, but the latter doesn’t spam invincibilities in her bossfight, so she’s a Lizardfolk instead of a Yuan-ti. it also helps with a little combo later. we’re using the new version of lizardfolk, so you won’t be able to craft stuff, though tbf you were given your spear so it’s no big deal. you still get a Swimming Speed which is kind of ironic as a goddess of drought, but you also get to put those pointy teeth to use with a Bite attack, an unarmed attack that deals 1d6 slashing damage. you can even use your Hungry Jaws to bite as a bonus action Proficiency times per day, and those attacks also give you temporary HP equal to your proficiency bonus. the first of many stops on our way to immortality.
on top of the swimming thing you can Hold Breath for up to 15 minutes at a time, and your Natural Armor basically gives you permanent mage armor- plus if your AC would ever be lower than 13 + dex it stays there anyway. you also have your Nature’s Intuition giving you proficiency in Animal Handling and Stealth. you also get +2 Strength and +1 Constitution.
I certainly wouldn’t call you a normal Acolyte, but you do have a lot of knowledge involving the gods and are kindasorta one yourself, so that’s proficiency in Insight and Religion.
Ability Scores
immortality is definitely what the experts call a “long-term” goal, but we can make it easier on ourselves and start with Constitution as high as possible. it won’t help our being a giant snake, but it’ll give you extra health to survive when the giant snake thing falls through. secondly, pick up some Wisdom. technically the monster army you can summon is a bunch of demons, but if it looks like a snake and quacks like a snake, that’s animal handling. third is Strength. you gotta chuck spears at people, and we can’t get psi warrior, sadly. your Intelligence isn’t as high as I’d like, but it’s still above average. I learned from my mistakes with Calamity, don’t worry. however, that does mean our Dexterity isn’t that good- thankfully you’ve got your scales to make up for it a little. finally, dump Charisma. turns out killing entire nations with your droughts makes you unpopular, who would’ve guessed?
Class Levels
1. Fighter 1: we’re starting as a fighter, both for the extra HP and also to nab that sweet, sweet Constitution save proficiency. you’re also proficient in Strength saves, as well as Athletics and Intimidation.
as for your Fighting Style, the Thrown Weapon style lets you draw weapons as you throw them, seriously reducing the action economy cost of chucking shit around, while also letting you deal an extra +2 Damage with thrown weapons. you also get a Second Wind once a short rest, it’s another way to heal yourself on you bonus action.
2. Fighter 2: second level fighters can make an Action Surge once a short rest for an extra action. that isn’t super useful since we’re going moon druid pretty soon, but more actions equals more biting or stabbing, so it’s never a bad idea.
3. Druid 1: now that we’re tough and fast, let’s get snakey. as a druid you know Druidic, it’s a written language that not only can only druids write and read, but other people won’t even know it’s there most of the time. somehow druids are sneakier than actual rogues- wild. you can also cast Spells now by using your Wisdom. grab Mold Earth to make walls… slowly…. and Frostbite to start freezing rivers shut.
okay maybe not specifically with this spell, but it’s got the theming down.
you can prepare your known spells each day, so it’s not a huge issue to grab spells as you want them, but I’d definitely check out more defensive stuff like Entangle and Fog Cloud, y’know, set up obstacles for your enemies. also Protection from Evil and Good to fuck with gods, bc fuck those guys.
4. Druid 2: at second level Moon druids can use their Combat Wild Shape as a bonus action, turning into a creature of CR 1/3 their level or lower (rounded down, at least CR 1 as a limit). they can do this twice per short rest, and each usage lasts half your druid level hours. you take the creatures physical stats (strength, dex, con, and HP) and when you drop to 0 in that form you turn back with as much HP as you had beforehand. you can also take class and racial feats into the wild shape with you as long as they physically make sense. so like, you probably won’t be able to keep your swimming speed as a tarantula. you can’t cast spells, but you can concentrate on them.
you can also use your bonus action to heal yourself by spending spell slots, what a surprise.
you won’t get a swim speed allowed until level 4, so no snakiness until then. in the meantime, you can use those wild shape charges to summon a Wild Companion for a regular-ass snake, but you could also use them to just. turn into something else. we’re not cops here, we don’t care if you break character.
5. Druid 3: third level druids get second level spells. it’ll be a while until you’re a dragon, so in the meantime check out Enlarge/Reduce to be an even bigger snake next level. by the time you hit level 8 that’ll let you hang out in the same size category as the Terrask! also grab Earthbind and Warding Wind to use two more elements to block peoples’ paths.
6. Druid 4: fourth level druids get another cantrip, and since there’s only one element we haven’t picked anything up from yet, grab Control Flames. you also get your first Ability Score Improvement, with which we’re grabbing the Piercer feat. now you can re-roll one die of piercing damage each turn, and your critical piercing attacks deal an extra die of damage! that’s nice for your spear, and hey, guess what kind of damage snake bites do?
speaking of snake bites, your Wild Shape Improvement lets you turn into animals with a swim speed now, so snakes are on the table! right now the best options on the table are the Giant Poisonous Snake and the Constrictor Snake, both of which have less than 20 HP! less awesome! maybe just grab a tiger or something for now, it’ll be a hot second til we get a good option.
7. Druid 5: fifth level druid, third level spells, and it’s time for immortality! …a bit. grab Feign Death to at least make it look like you come back from the dead later, or if you can figure out a way to cast it on yourself after your death, Revivify. also grab Elemental Weapon to make a magical spear that can skewer even divine enemies, and Conjure Animals to conjure your snake army. eventually, once you can upcast it. for now, you can turn into a giant constrictor (next level), and you can summon a giant constrictor at the same time! trippy!
8. Druid 6: like I just said, sixth level moon druids can turn into CR 2 creatures, so a Giant Constrictor is now available to turn into, with a hearty 60 HP per transformation and the ability to squeeze a creature into submission. also worth noting, at this level your wild shapes gain Primal Strikes, so their attacks count as magical for overcoming resistances and immunities to nonmagical damage, which I’d bet most gods have.
9. Druid 7: seventh level druids get fourth level spells, so you can use either Blight or Control Water to start causing proper droughts. there technically isn’t a drought option in the latter spell, but parting water or redirecting the flow away from where it usually goes can work if you’re creative.
10. Fighter 3: now that we’re finally on the right path magically, let’s head back to fighter to start kicking ass! as an Eldritch Knight you get another set of Spells based on your Intelligence, and most of them have to be Evocation or Abjuration. check the handbook to figure out what spell slots you’ve got each level, they have a page for that. or look it up online, there’s probably plenty of calculators to use.
thankfully your cantrips don’t care about that limitation, so grab Sword Burst to swing your spear around like you just don’t care, and Ray of Frost for more icy goodness. for your leveled spells, Frost Fingers finally lets this build that’s supposed to be about someone who freezes water actually freeze water, and Shield is just good. it’s a good spell, and your AC isn’t that great so it’s useful. you also get one spell of any school this level, but we’re gonna replace it later so grab what you want!
one last thing- you can use your Weapon Bond on your spear, so as long as its on the same plane as you u can summon it as a bonus action! also you can’t be disarmed
11. fighter 4: use this asi to nab the war caster feat! it lets you use spells as opportunity attacks which is like, boring! but it also gives you advantage on concentration saves to keep a spell going after you take damage! you can’t re-cast stuff as a snake, so it’s important you keep it up!
you also get another spell, and earth tremor is another way to block peoples’ way with difficult terrain! it’ll also deal damage to anything in the area
12. fighter 5: fifth level fighters get an Extra Attack each action, and yes you can take this into your wild shape.
13. Fighter 6: sixth level fighters get another ASI, so bump up that Strength for better spearings. it doesn’t help when you’re a snake, but it’s nice.
14. Fighter 7: at seventh level your War Magic speeds up your spellcasting, so if you cast a cantrip as an action you can now attack once as a bonus action! yippee!
you also get the real good ice spells this level- rime’s binding ice can freeze people in place, and now that you’ve got 2nd level spells you can replace that first any-school spell with dragon’s breath, giving you the ability to breathe fire, acid, cold, lightning, or poison for up to a minute!
15. fighter 8: eighth level fighters get another asi, so bump up that wisdom for stronger spells! that doesn’t help your fighter spells, but a lot of those won’t need your intelligence either, like Magic Weapon. with this, you can add a bit to your attack and damage rolls, and it’ll also punch through those pesky resistances against nonmagical damage. D&D isn’t as modular as some other rpgs are, so this is the closest we’re getting to “anti-god” tech without homebrew. still, talk to your DM, killing a god sounds like a cool high-level campaign idea.
16. Fighter 9: ninth level fighters are Indomitable, letting you re-roll a failed save once per day. if you’re gonna be immortal, you’re gonna need to pass those death saves.
17. Fighter 10: at tenth level, eldritch knights get another reason we won’t have to focus on magic that much, their Eldritch Strikes. basically, whenever you smack someone with a weapon attack, they get disadvantage on their next save against one of your spells before the end of your next turn. however, spending two turns to set up one thing is dumb. let’s speed it up a bit, and get your NP at the same time.
turn one- cast dragon’s breath on yourself to get a dragon’s breath as a bonus action, then use your main action to turn into a giant snake. turn two, use your hungry jaws to bite as a bonus action (RAW it’s your lizard bite, but c’mon DMs be cool about this) and then whatever you snatched up will have disadvantage on your breath save that turn. repeat up to six times for a well-cooked enemy.
to make your attacks more accurate you could use True Strike but that’s bad, just attack twice. for a spell that is actually useful, Darkness will give you the aesthetic of your NP, a cloud of magical darkness nothing can see through (except a surprisingly large and growing number of races and classes) though this also uses concentration, so you’ll have to choose between the fire and the smoke.
18. Fighter 11: eleventh level fighters get a second Extra Attack each action for up to three per action, six per turn, or seven with your hungry jaws. wild shapes weren’t really made for this kind of thing, so take advantage and do some crazy damage.
also you can cast Arcane Lock for one last barrier between humanity and whatever the hell you have that they want.
19. Fighter 12: use this one last ASI to bump up your hp with some Tough ness. now I know what you’re thinking- “if concentration’s been so important, why’d you go with this feat instead of more constitution?” good question! because Tough is a feat. it gives you 38 HP this level, and an extra 2 next level, but the important part is it is a feat. feats can be brought over to your snake forms. that means not only do you get 40 more HP, but your snakes also get 40 more hp! maybe. talk to your DM first, don’t spring this on them. if they say no, then yeah just go for more constitution. If you really want to game the HP system you can always pick up a relic sloth wild shape, which also kind of fits in with your whole “immoveable blockade” lore.
anyway, we’re getting off topic. more HP good, tough druids = most hp. maybe.
20. Fighter 13: our last level of the build is for one more use of Indomitable, so you can re-roll two failed saves a day to get even tougher. you can also cast a Glyph of Warding to create traps in case of anyone trying to tamper with your dam. now you can either set them up to re-freeze any water that leaks through as a Spell Glyph, holding a copy of frost fingers or binding ice, or you can set up Explosive Runes to take care of any pesky humans showing up to break the water out. either way, they’re very useful.
Pros & Cons:
Pros:
right off the bat, you have a shitload of HP, with just over 200 normally, and somewhere between 120-200 extra from wild shapes depending on how your DM takes tough, plus you have options to heal yourself, and get temporary HP. this all feeds further into pro #2-
you’re great on defense. you have plenty of options to slow or freeze enemies in place, and you can create plenty of environmental hazards with earth tremors and controlled water, making getting from point a to b an absolute nightmare even if there wasn’t a giant snake sitting in the only way in.
you’re a powerhouse alone, but you’ve also got summons available, and enough concentration power to keep them going for quite a while. the only thing worse than fighting one giant constrictor with your feet frozen to the ground is fighting three. or like, 16 smaller creatures, your choice.
Cons:
we put absolutely nothing into your dexterity, so even with those scales your AC is garbage. which is bad if you plan on turning yourself into a literal giant target. it’s a good thing you have plenty of HP to chew through.
you’ve also got low charisma, so even if you have a good reason for setting up a lair somewhere, good luck convincing the townsfolk.
multiclassing gave us some good spell slots, but only low-level spells. getting advantage on an upcast Dragon’s Breath is cool, but I would have killed to be able to grab Wall of Ice from the druid spell list.

About me: I'm post-top surgery and a little over 2 years on HRT, and I'm very happy with the way I look. Taking erotic photos of myself gives me gender euphoria! I have a few kinks, mostly exhibitionism.
Mastodon (I'll be posting sexier pictures than Tumblr allows, and more consistently/sooner): https://kinky.business/@subbysage
Boundaries (a little long - most importantly, I'm not your sub):
Things that will get you insta-blocked: ❌ You're under 18 ❌ You re-upload my content anywhere (boosts and links are fine!)
Things that may get you blocked (if I like you, I might spend the necessary spoons to ask you to stop first): ❌ Bringing up impact play/discipline ❌ Acting as if I were YOUR sub (trying to assert control, kink-type degradation/praising like "good slut", using titles like "pet") ❌ Initiating DMs just to chat or sext (private compliment replies under posts are fine - I’m just not here to find a relationship/hookup/RP partner)
Things that may get you ignored/eventually muted: ❌ Suggesting actions (ex. "you should use that dildo") ❌ Asking me to show my face (I don't plan to, my goal is anonymity) ❌ Telling me about fantasies including me, even if they're very mild and vague ❌ Exchanges with the goal of flustering me ❌ Using terms for me/my body that I haven’t used for myself
Guidance on interaction: I’m here to show off and be told I’m pretty. Likes, reblogs, and follows make me happy! (Including spam-boosting/liking - you can go through my "my pics" tag, tagged on this post for convenience.) If you’re trans, nonbinary, GNC, etc., that’s a bonus. Please be 18+, though.
Replies/tags with simple compliments are also wonderful! Things like "your [body part] is so hot here", "hgldjfdsg", etc. (Please avoid fantasies, even if you’re vague.) Guidance on wording (hopefully the emoji markings work):
✅ “Cute”, "pretty", "handsome", "hot", etc. ✅ Pointing out if I look masculine and/or genderfucky ✅ “Enby”, “[queer/trans/nonbinary] person” ✅ Any body part terms I’ve used in any alt text or captions ❌ Explicitly binary-gendered terms like “man”, “mommy”, “boypussy”, etc. ❌ “Cunt”, “breasts” (in reference to my body)

Tales from the Aether Magic pt 4
Lastly, the most unique element of Spells in this system is that they are not static. Spells you learn will evolve with your character as they grow. All spells have Spell Upgrades. To unlock new upgrades for your spells, you must use them in the game.
To Upgrade a spell, you must cast it a specific number of times (to be determined through play testing). These castings cannot be spammed just to level up the spell but must be used organically throughout the game. If you cast, say, a healing spell multiple times in a row to heal everyone back to full after an intensive combat, this would count as one. You only learn by life experience which means using the spells naturally over time.
All upgrades are divided into the various Ranks of the skill the spell belongs to, thus, you can only unlock upgrades of the Ranks available to you. Additionally, you must unlock at least one upgrade of the lowest rank to unlock the next rank of upgrades. Example: I am a Journeyman Mystic, I can unlock spell upgrades up to Journeyman level but I must begin with Novice upgrades.
There are two types of Spell Upgrades: Passive and Active upgrades. Passive Upgrades add no additional Arcana cost to the spell and are applied automatically to the spell. Active Upgrades add an additional Arcana cost to the spell depending on the level of the upgrade. However, certain Active upgrades deviate from this rule and detail their cost in their description. You can apply multiple upgrades to a single casting in addition to multiple Feats, so long as you have the Arcana reserves available to cast it.
Lets check out a Spell under the cut as an example.
This is a peak at some design elements of my TTRGP Tales from the Aether. This is not dnd. If you think some of these ideas are interesting, check out my Masterpost linked here and follow for more updates :D
Stitch Wounds
Rank: Novice Arcana Cost: 2 Casting Time: Main Action
Duration: Instantaneous Target: One Creature Range: Touch
The target regains 1d10 points of health. Undead and Constructs are unaffected by this spell.
Upgrades:
Novice - Passive - Deal additional healing equal to the caster's Necromancy Rank Bonus.
Novice - Active - Increase the distance of the spell to 30 ft.
Apprentice- Active - the caster can cast this spell as a Minor Action.
Apprentice - Active - the target gains 1 Level of Courage until the start of the caster's next turn.
Journeyman - Active - the caster can target a number of creatures equal to the caster's Magic Score. Every creature costs 2 additional Arcana.
Journeyman - Passive - Choose Undead or Constructs. This spell now works on one of these two categories of creature.
Expert - Passive - Deal additional healing equal to the caster's Necromancy Score.
Expert - Active - dispel one of the following Conditions from the target: 1 level of poison, wasting, or weakened.
Master - Passive - When the caster cast this spell, roll 1d10. On a 10, the healing energy surges and either heals double the amount or jumps to a creature of the caster's choice within range and heals this creature an equal amount.
Master - Active - If a creature is killed, the caster has 10 rounds (1 minute) to attempt to bring them back to life. the caster must heal them a total amount equal to their maximum hit points during this time. If the caster succeeds, the creature is resurrected with 1 HP. If the caster fails, the creature remains dead.
I cast Stitch Wounds with +30 range (+1 cost), +1 level of courage (+2 cost), and dispel one condition (+4 cost) to bring the total cost of this spell to 9 Arcana.
(All spell upgrades will be named in the final draft I just haven't gotten around to naming them because there are literally hundreds of spell upgrades and there are more important things to focus on rn lol)

FIRST TURTLE CROSSOVER PRIVILEGES :D
Donnie builds a machine to prove the multiverse theory, he teleports them all to the 12 universe, there's a bit of highjinks as the boys react to their counterparts. Rise Donnie starts showing 12 Donnie how he cracked multiverse travel but his device short circuits (probably because 12 mikey spills something on it) and the rise boys all get teleported again.
This time the boys all end up in 2003! The boys all react to eachother again, the donnies start talking about how to fix the machine and they accidentally activate it again.
They of course end up in the 87 universe next, highjinks, reacting to eachother etc, 87 Donnie helps stabilize the machine a bit and comments on how he's seen other universes too, and the prime black and white universe is pretty scary. As soon as he finishes saying that the machine glitches again and they're teleported.
They look around, its all black and white, its similar to the 12 crossover episode when they go to the prime universe, they're all intimidated and spam the button to teleport again as the prime turtles advance to investigate the threat-
There's a sequence of the turtles falling through a bunch of universes, you can see what looks like the live action costumes, the bay movies, the 2007 movie, etc. Then they finally stop, falling into their own lair again.
(bonus extra cartoony ending, another version of the rise turtles walk out like "what the fu-" and it cuts to credits)

Hi!!!
Before I go on a spam reblog of your Dagger Professors moodboard series in a little while, after I get some rest, I just want to say that I look forward to each reveal, and it makes me so happy to see each one!
I have to say, when I first saw your masterpost, before I tapped on the read more, I just KNEW that someone would be teaching something about engineering—but I thought it would be Jake.
I looked down the list, and I was very happy to see that you had Bradley as the aerospace engineering professor.
Admittedly, I wasn’t completely sold on Jake teaching classics, but—
THAT WAS UNTIL I SAW THE BOARD.
AND THE QUOTE.
And I saw the genius perfection behind the idea of Jacob Seresin, Classics Professor.
I mean, now that I think about it, classics fits him so well; it’s dramatic, clever, witty, sarcastic at times, with action thrown in, along with moments of softness.
And the quote—the way I could hear it in his voice—
YOU’RE A GENIUS.
Tumblr media
Thank you!!! This is legit the sweetest thing. Am I gonna cry? I think I might cry! I’m so glad that you’re enjoying them and that I hit the nail on the head!
The Professors will be going on a bit of a spring break over the next few days as I celebrate the first days of Passover, but they plan to be back on Sunday! But who knows? Maybe I’ll post a bonus board on Saturday night. It’s been know to happen!

OC SKILLTREE INFODUMP UPDATED VERSION. THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY LONG. ALSO IF THIS GETS ENOUGH NOTES IM GOING TO POST IT TO R*DDIT TOO BECAUSE I THINK MY IDEAS ARE COOL.
Lazarus as the Prodigy
(full name: Lazarus Jakobs)
The heir to the Jakobs corporation and a thoroughly strange kid, Lazarus takes after both of zir fathers, but puts a unique spin on both of their fighting styles.
Action Skills: Only one, called Sheer Focus. It temporarily increases your FoV and zoom while also boosting your crit damage out the wazoo. Basically, it's Showdown but not shamelessly busted.
The Trees
Legacy. The sniping tree, basically, but with a specific "hunter" flavor. Boosts against badasses, bosses, overleveled enemies, and anything with a huge healthbar.
Tradition. The tree that Wainwright would be most proud of. Tons of various buffs, but almost solely to non-elemental weapons. Perhaps some kind of bonus against full-health enemies and some kind of overkill effect, so you can chain those oneshots.
The New Path. The status effect tree, non-elemental flavor. Specifically, this tree focuses on bleed (if you've ever played Athena, you'll know) and stun. Stun is a new status effect, basically a long stagger, though it doesn't work on bosses, it is a great tool against badasses and the like. This tree does have some skills which benefit ALL status effects, but they are few and far between.
Notes: I just want a playable Wainlock fankid, okay.
What would be strong on this VH? Jakobs, duh. Also weapons that are, on paper, non elemental but have some kind of hidden elemental property (like the Love Drill, Dead Chamber, Dakota, etc.) so you can abuse The New Path tree to insane levels. Also also, tanky shields, because Lazarus is kind of a glass cannon to balance zir great bossing and mobbing potential. Don't need defense if one shot is all you need, right?
Class Mod Names: Heir, Princex, Entomologist, Aristocrat, Duelist, Monster Hunter
Bartholomew as the Butler
An old, malfunctioning butlerbot with berserk tendencies who still, above all else, wishes to serve.
Action Skills: Overclock (gun damage/melee damage/fire rate buff for a period of time), All-Out Attack (a punch dash with high damage that has multiple charges and can be chained or used several times on the same enemy) and Gearshift (full heal and automatic weapon reload with a temporary bonus to weapon swap speed and movement speed that applies to the whole party). All have long cooldowns except for All-Out Attack.
The Trees
Unstoppable Rage (All-Out Attack): The melee tree. Fairly bog-standard as far as melee trees go, but this one specifically encourages taking damage and spamming that melee button (with a high-damage low cooldown override).
Servitude (Gearshift): Support tree, self-harm edition. Servitude has several buffs and bonuses that activate upon certain conditions (like you reloading, or breaking your shield, etc) that apply to you AND your entire co-op party. The catch is, upon any of these buffs activating, Bartholomew will lose some health. Which brings me to...
Restraint (Overclock): ...this tree, which is all about STACKS. A Restraint stack is gained upon losing a set percentage of health, and said stacks activate bonuses like health regeneration, reload speed, and more. You can already see the synergy here.
Notes: I liked Nisha's Law and Order mechanics, so why can't we have that back? Also a self-sacrificial support is a very interesting concept to me.
What would be strong on this VH? The Rough Rider, because damn I wish that shield was good again. Gun-wise, Moxxi weapons (ESPECIALLY at endgame) and the Kyb's Worth, since this character focuses on health so much. Also, bring your friends.
Class Mod Names: Servant, Glitch, Exploit, Protector, Barbarian, Processor
Scylla as the Siren
(full name: Scylla von Perun)
A mysterious old hermit with the seemingly prophetic power of phasesight... and an interest in Bunkers and Badasses. Scylla uses her electrifying powers to dazzle and disorient the enemy.
Action Skills: Phasemagy (a quick shock bolt with high damage), Phaseurgy (a spread of three weak shock missiles that home into enemies and deal splash damage) and Phasemancy (a debuff cast onto an enemy that causes them to take increased damage from the next thing that damages them, especially if it's a critical hit). All have short cooldowns. Scylla can, just like Zane, forgo using a grenade in order to equip 2 action skills at once - but unlike Zane, she has no way to use her grenades in other ways.
The Trees
Storm Terror (Phasemagy): The going fast tree. Rewards things like jumping and sliding around a lot with things like amp shots, shield regeneration and of course even more movement speed. Plus the obligatory "you can shoot while sprinting" skill.
Clairvoyance (Phasemancy): Mind control, baby! Basically it's the crowd control tree, but in order to even start on it you have to take a skill that gives you a chance to turn enemies to your side when you crit them. Also, a little bit of crit bonuses so you get more damage for predicting where the enemies go.
Wizardry (Phaseurgy): Have you ever wanted to play a Spellshot in a mainline Borderlands game? Wonder no further, this tree focuses on mindlessly spamming what is essentially magic all over your enemies. Also some bonuses to status effect duration (yes, the mind control from the Clairvoyance tree counts as a status).
Notes: You like spells. I like spells. We all like spells. Also, if every single siren so far has been referred to as a witch, we deserve a wizard siren too.
What would be strong on this VH? I would say Guardian 4N631 but tbh I think that gun is so busted it will not return ever. If anyone has any suggestions for any other gear that would improve such an action skill focused character I'm listening.
Class Mod Names: Spellcaster, Archmage, Diviner, Prophet, Kraken, Hermit
Samuel the Primordial
(full name: Samuel Hawking)
An unlucky former Tediore employee who strayed too close to a Vault that was being opened... and fused with the energy of a Vault Monster that was inside. Now, he seeks to hunt the Vault to find out more about the monster he has become.
Action Skills: Just like Lazarus, only has one: Transform, which normally is just a temporary but massive damage reduction. However, he can equip two augments, as well as a Mutation. Mutations are essentially more powerful augments that restrict what he can do while transformed. For example, "Aetherium Talons" locks him into melee but allows him to dash at enemies and rip them apart, "Reactive Glands" makes him spam free grenades but make him unable to use melee and guns, etc.
The Trees
Eldritch Potential: The elemental damage tree, this time in radiation flavor. There is a focus on splash damage and chaining kills, but otherwise this tree is fairly standard.
Perseverance: The survivability tree, featuring things like decreased self damage, status effect immunity, and resistance to elemental damage. This tree has the unique quirk of being more effective the closer to death you are, even in FFYL where it increases your damage.
Resourcefulness: Regenerate health. Regenerate ammo. Regenerate grenades. Regenerate shields. Regenerate everything with this simple trick: using this tree. Of course most of it is conditional (like triggering on reload, kill, or second wind) but it's quite powerful.
Notes: I wish the game addressed the canonical fact that some Vault Monsters are actual lovecraftian entities that can merge with humans (cough cough, Gythian, cough cough).
What would be strong on this VH? Anything radiation, anything splash, anything with high ammo consumption. If you thought Anarchy, congratulations, this guy isn't a former Tediore employee for nothing. Launchers like the Yellowcake or the ION CANNON would be good on him too. Also, the Front Loader, since it lowers your health, and in this case if would enable some insane survivability.
Class Mod Names: Old One, Abomination, Nucleus, Roach, Neutron, Mutant
Val the Fanatic
(full name unknown, but we do know that Val is short for Valor)
A former member of the CoV, Val believes the Vaults are the key to spiritual enlightenment. Although they are half blind (ritualistic, self inflicted) and mute (vow of silence enforced by them sewing their own vocal chords together. they speak through a drone that follows them around), they are still extremely dangerous, no small part thanks to their zeal.
Action Skills: Dodge Roll (exactly what it sounds like, gives some immunity frames) and Battle Roar (a team-wide damage buff that is small but applies to all damage sources). Both aren't strong, but have long cooldowns. To compensate, Val's third skill Deep Pockets is simply the ability to equip and use two different grenade mods at once in a similar manner to a Spellshot's Ambihextrous.
The Trees
Conscience (Dodge Roll): Survivability... technically speaking. Instead of giving more health or shields like most survivability trees, this one focuses on more esoteric means of not dying, like ignoring bullets, immunity frames, more FFYL time, or just a straight up chance to not die and instead be reduced to 1 health. After all, this is a bandit mook we are talking about, those aren't technically supposed to be damage sponges.
Faith (Battle Roar): Insane fire rate! Mag sizes that would make Moze weep! Melee damage! All for the low low price of your enemies' lives and all of your accuracy! No Seein' Red for this one, though, you better keep up that killstreak or you'll lose it all.
Piety (Deep Pockets): Insert a reference to the Holy Hand Grenade here, because it's the splash damage/grenade spam tree. Unlike Samuel, for this one, splash is the focus - especially radius. Ever wanted to throw so many Hexes the screen goes white? Steer clear and be careful, because you have no way to protect yourself.
Notes: Honestly I just want a character whose motivation for hunting Vaults is spiritual in nature. I feel like that would make for a really compelling story.
What would be strong on this VH? Most good grenades and high fire rate weapons would probably work. Hell, with a proper build, you could use the BL3 Fastball and anything automatic.
Class Mod Names: Herald, Evangelist, Zealot, Seeker, Cardinal, Pastor
Alkimia the Trooper
(real name unknown, but it seems like Alkimia is a pseudonym)
A mysterious, brooding cyborg woman who defected from the upper echelons of the Maliwan army upon witnessing the atrocities they committed. Most of her speech seems to be vaguely poetic.
Action Skills: Only one - Reaction Globule, a big ball of corrosion that explodes on contact with an enemy or the ground. However, she can equip different elements onto it (radiation, cryo, or incendiary) and mix and match various augments. Does the ball bounce? Does it stick to enemies? Does Alkimia throw three balls with lowered damage? Maybe it does some combination of these things.
The Trees
Adaptation: Passive bonuses, with a catch - at first, they will cycle through in a semi-random pattern, similarly to Claptrap's subroutines. However, unlike his subroutines, over time they will slowly adapt to the manufacturers, weapon types, and elements you are actually using.
Evolution: Cybernetic augmentations, similar to Wilhelm's blue tree, but this time they actually adapt to the enemies you fight and your current situation. A constant aura around you that deals the most effective elemental damage? Sure. A damage buff that scales the more health an enemy has? Yep. A melee override which heals health or shields, depending on which you have less of? Absolutely.
Catalyst: Status effect tree, stacking edition! Ever wanted to have a boss be corroded, AND frozen, AND on fire? Now with this tree, you can - and you'll even get more damage for it (obviously, by slapping a damage debuff on your enemies). You can even apply them with non-elemental weapons if you have the capstone! Also, if you want weapon swap speed, this tree will give you all the weapon swap speed.
Notes: Ah yes, the obligatory former corporate military character. I mean, they are in every game, so why not make one of them a weird funky cyborg?
What would be strong on this VH? Maliwan, obviously, but anything with high status chance and/or fire rate will work. Alkimia is kind of a jack of all trades with some elemental spice thrown in, though, so you can probably use almost anything.
