I am no immune to sapphic creature propaganda AND I like aspec Spearmaster (Demi Romantic Ace)
I was also mostly contemplating how to handle LttM and FP in this au and landed on “Hunter had already delivered the neuron but had a lil more cycles than in game. Met Spearmaster on her way back and saving its life so they go to their iterators together. Spearmaster learns potential friend has illness and doesn’t like that it won’t be cured so goes back out with them to find a cure.” and ended up loving them being a queer platonic couple.
It’s more of an ‘endgame’ kinda deal because Artificer needs to go through some development and therapy - but again. Not immune to murder sapphics.

TLOK Comics
I AM REALLY SICK OF THE TLOK CANON COMICS AVOIDING ANYTHING THAT PRIMARILY FOCUSES ON KORRA AND ASAMI.
Turf Wars didn't really address their relationship going forward since we never see them talking about it directly outside of that one moment in Spirit World (the how did you know moment, which doesn't address their relationship going forward), brief meet the parents (ends badly), talking to Kya about acceptance of LGBTQ couples, and saying i love you at the end. Worse, Turf wars was a damsel in distress trope (these need to stop; it's boring/bad writing).
Why can we not have scenes of them talking about their relationship, how they'll live together and where, some of the rituals they start doing together, etc. Them having a cute date night, that gets interrupted, they are badass together, then they go back to doing their date night. Or Avatar Korra doing some Avatar-mission with Asami at her side being just as badass.
Like, I do not understand why they avoid them so damn much. They just bait us with fancy covers and snippets that barely cover their relationship. Also, I'd love to see the comic writer for a Korrasami comic be a bi or lesbian writer, so we can actually get solid writing for once. Is that so hard to ask?
Do we need to start a petition to demand this?
And I'd like to also demand that they fucking STOP nerfing Asami? She is perfectly capable of taking down nearly anyone by herself. She took down six Equalists and a mech tank in Book 1 for heaven's sake. She took down Red Lotus people in one move in Book 3. Rebuild an airship and built a sandsailer in Book 3. She flies planes and can invent ridiculously fancy tech like hummingbirds.
And yet they keep giving us shitty damsel in distress tropes with her. STOP IT.
Let Korra and Asami work as badass partners for once.
Anyway, that's my rant of the century.
No, I don't want to read another one-shot that doesn't feature them. *sighs* I'm just so frustrated.
[EDIT: I want to be clear her that Asami being kidnapped by Tokuga is the literal definition of damsel in distress. Yes, she uses her badass engineering skills to try to ruin his plans, but this ultimate fails as he overpowers her and starts choking her. Korra comes to her rescue. Why is this so frustrating? Asami is a badass fighter who can kick someone off a motorcycle and steal their spear while at it in Book 3. She took down six equalists at the same time after blowing up their mech tank in book 1. She's more than capable of taking down Tokuga, and yet PLOT made it so she couldn't. It was jarring and a bit unbelievable considering what we've seen of her capabilities in the actual show. We see the same thing in Ruins of Empire. Where her, Bolin, and Mako are overwhelmed by only a handful of soldiers. Asami could have taken down several of them herself, and Mako's lightning is highly effective against metal. Yet they're still taken? Again, it's the damsel in distress plot. This time Asami's mind and body is kidnapped (due to brainwashing), and Korra must save her. It's boring and shitty writing.]

The Best Mistake - Chels_Writes_a_Fic - E, 26 chapters, Words: 127,444 - Hermione Granger does not make mistakes, at least not often. After making the biggest, dumbest, most horrible mistake of her life, Hermione must deal with the repercussions while keeping her relationship with her Auror partner, Draco Malfoy, strictly professional. He, of course, has other plans. Amidst a resurgence in Death Eater activity, the likes of which Britain hasn’t seen since the First Wizarding War, Hermione will come to realize that the mistake she’s made with Draco might not be so bad at all. It just might be the best mistake.

The Heist pt. 8.5
After this, the job at the museum will take place! I'm so excited for that one because it helps the team learn how to work together before they move onto the big job. The night at the museum could possibly be more than one chapter's worth of a scene.
A Conversation Between Friends
“Theo,” Draco began as he settled into his favorite, comfortable chair.
“Yes, Draco?” Theo asked in a despondent kind of voice. He had laid himself out onto the sofa of Draco’s study with a hearty sigh and a glass of Fire Whiskey.
Draco crossed an ankle over his knee and began to pick through a bowl of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.
“It’s come to my attention, that you may be in love with Hermione Granger.”
Theo spilled his drink as he sat bolt upright on the couch and looked at Draco with shock. “Me?”
Draco grinned as his best friend ran a hand over his now wet shirt with a scowl.
“You’re much too out of sorts over this date with Zabini.”
“Aren’t you? You practically made out with her hand today.” He shook his head, wild brown hair bouncing around.
Draco picked out, what appeared to be a roasted marshmallow flavored bean and popped it into his mouth. He grimaced. It was fried egg. “I think it’s obvious to a blind man that I find Granger incredibly attractive.”
“Yes, but—” Theo began, but Draco cut him off.
“As do you.”
Theo leaned back in the couch, completely disregarding the puddle of liquor, he leaned back and propped his elbow on the armrest of the leather sofa. “I don’t just find her moronically attractive.” Theo bit the tip of his thumb.
“Scourgify that, will you?” Draco frowned at his friend. “Moronically?”
“I have a tendency to act like a complete moron for her.” He pulled his thumb away and sneered over at Draco, but he pulled his wand out and quickly cleaned up the mess on the couch and himself.
“This complicates things.” Draco admitted.
“How so?”
“We can’t both pursue her.”
“Pursue her?” Theo asked a bit vehemently. “I’ve been her constant companion for over a year. If I pursue her again, she’ll be livid with me.”
Draco eyed him and plucked out another bean, chancing a bright yellow one, he was pleasantly surprised to find that it was lemon tart. “What happened in Amsterdam?”
Theo dropped his thumb and slumped into the couch. “I can’t tell you and you know that.”
“Yes, but why?”
“We made a pact.”
Draco watched as his friend began to fidget in his seat, occasionally eyeing the old clock over the fireplace. He ate a cherry-chocolate bean, a boogie flavored one and a simple chocolate bean before he spoke again.
“When did you sleep with her, then?”
Theo laughed. “There is no proof of us ever having sex.”
Draco nodded, thoughtfully. There seemed to be some debate over a kiss, as well.
“Do you love her?” He finally asked Theo.
Theo sighed and ran a hand over his face before digging his fingers into his hair. “I don’t know. I wish I had asked Granger out on that date before I dated Pansy.” He said it in a voice that neared a whisper.
“But you didn’t.”
Theo shook his head, his red-rimmed eyes staring into the fire. “But I didn’t.” He looked over at Draco and sniffed. “Granger is the perfect woman and I’ll be jealous of anyone who manages to get her to settle down.”
“What do you mean?”
“Granger doesn’t do serious.”
“She doesn’t?” Draco frowned at this.
Theo shook his head. “I think it’s one of the reasons we didn’t attempt anything after the first date. I’m a serious kind of guy, as you know. She seems to despise men who want to tie her down. She is too committed to this,” He waved his hand between the two of them. “Whatever we’re doing.”
“But you’re doing it with her. You literally took her on a job for your first date.” Draco chuckled when Theo grinned.
“I know. And it was lovely. Watching her work is...” he shook his head, wiping the doe-eyed look off his face. “Pansy left me because of this.” He reminds Draco with a wave between the two of them again.
“We haven’t worked together in over a year.” Draco points out as he finds a bright orange bean. Tangerine.
“That’s because I found Granger.” Theo shrugged and refilled his glass with more whiskey.
“You left me for Granger, you mean.” Which wasn’t entirely true.
When Theo had been dumped over the last job they did together, Draco retreated back into the proper societal life that was expected of him. Auditing those who also played into societies' designated roles.
But Theo was correct when he approached him with his offer last week. Draco was bored. He hated the constraints of a life that society dictated. It was the same as being under the rule of his parents all over again.
And Draco decided, that day at the Italian café with Theo, that he was much too old and tired for all of that.
“I was wooed away from you. There is a difference.” Theo took a sip and sighed loudly. “She fancies you, by the way.”
Draco nodded. “I think so.” He looked at his best friend and smirked. He hadn’t expected to ever see Granger again and he certainly didn’t expect to become so charmed by her. “But she’s quite smitten with you, isn’t she?”
“You know, I wouldn’t have thought so but after today...” Theo trailed off and took a long drink.
“She nearly hexed Tori.” Draco laughed with a shake of his head.
“For us.”
The two men chuckled and sat in relative silence for a few moments.
Draco continued to pick through the beans and looked over at the old grandfather clock. It was nearly ten at night. Granger would be done with her date by now.
Theo tossed the remaining drops of whiskey and coughed as it burned the back of his throat.
“How do you think everything will go tomorrow night?” Theo asked, dully.
Draco shrugged. “I think it will go well.” He shuffled through the mix until he found another bright orange bean and began to collect them all into the palm of his hand.
“You don’t think she fancies Zabini, do you?”
“Do you think she fancies McLaggen?”
Theo gagged, causing Draco to laugh.
“No, she just works with him from time to time. Zabini?”
“No,” Draco sat back and shook his hand around, watching the orange beans bounce about. “I think she is just that committed to taking down Flamel.”
Theo smirked at that, the idea causing him joy. “She is a wicked little thing, isn’t she?”
“She’s lovely.” Draco agreed and tossed the mouthful of Tangerine flavored beans into his mouth.

An excerpt from a story I've been writing about Ahsoka exploring togruta lore in order to connect with her heritage. And also acting as a jedi delegate speaking with a lost traditionalist togruta tribe.
when their ships landed at the edge of the village they were met with a line of armed men. Their lekku were all warm shades ranging from a deep magenta to a bright yellow. Their weapons were traditional. The repurposed tools and hunting knives and spear were held in tight but lowered grips. Though they wanted to show strength to the invaders they did not want to show aggression. Not a curled lip or an exposed fang could be found on their faces.
In the center of the delegation was an elder not as old as the ones she'd befriended from the green lek tribe, but his montrals were tall and his lekku were wide. His skin showed the wear of sun and labor.
"Will they attack?" Mundi asked after she'd taken the time to assess their welcome party.
"I don't think so," Ahsoka said. "But why don't you let me go first?"
Mundi nodded to the front of the ship and the gunship doors slid open. Ahsoka stepped off the ship first; her choice to go barefoot had raised several eyebrows but she was glad for the opportunity to ground herself. Her beaded ankle bracelets flashed for a moment as she stepped down into the tougher, reedier grass.
As she took two tentative steps forward Rex and Echo exit the gunship behind her. Their boots made loud crunching noises as they trampled the grass. Master Mundi and one of the three delegates from Cerea filled out the right side of the ship.
The men in a line before her studied the group carefully, apprehensive looks were cast to the clone troopers and, with cautious recognition, to the Cereans. But it was the sight of Ahsoka that caught all of their attention.
She was the shortest among them but she stood in the lead. Every man there shot quick glances at her murmurs growing across the line.
The Elder had eyes only for her. He separated from the line, his palms open in front of him. He and Ahsoka approach each other drawn across the no man's land like magnets.
They met in the middle palms laid flat against each other and heads turned until they lay cheek to cheek. "Welcome sister," his voice hummed richly through his chest. There was a warm sort of familial feeling that overtook her in response.
"I am honored to see you elder," she replied In the people's language. Hoping beyond hope that her pronunciation wasn't mangled.
"You bring many with you today. Those that resemble the troublemakers. And men in much armor. Do you bring conflict to us?" He asked with much patience in both the speed and tone of his words. Speaking slowly the way Ahsoka had to accommodate her.
"No. I have brought peace with me. Those that have trouble with you have called to me to speak. So that there will be no conflict. They come with great respect but also urgency."
The elder holds her hands in a loose grip between them as he pears around Ahsoka's shoulders, suspicion in his eyes. But it isn't Mundi or the Cereans he is looking at. It is Rex and Echo.
"You bring peace, but you bring soldiers in much armor with great weapons?"
Ahsoka is somehow blindsided by the accusation. It simply hadn't occurred to her that the sight of blasters or clone armor would seem aggressive to the lost tribe here.
Ahsoka scrambled for a reason that would make sense to these people without a twenty minute backstory about Mandalorians and the galactic war.
She glanced back at Rex and the excuse came to mind easily. Something that she'd pondered idly in a childish bid to have more connection with her culture in a religion that didn't foster much; and in an environment where she didn't even need a full hand to count the amount of people that looked like her.
She raised an open palm over her shoulder and quickly flashed a mandalorian hand signal she'd used a hundred times to direct her troops. With practiced efficiency Rex and Echo strode either of her flanks and stood once more at rest. Both visors trained stoically forward.
"Revered elder, this is Rex, my hunting partner. And his brother Echo. It is the way of their people to remain armed but they follow my lead. My orders. They're loyalty brings me great honor."
The elder looked shocked. He inspected Rex closely peering into the black of his visor to try to see into his heart.
"Rex, take off your helmet, lower your head to the elder." It was the first time she'd spoken in basic since exiting the ship but Rex didn't need any context to follow her order.
He removed his helmet and ducked his shoulders so the shorter man could peer into his eyes.
The elder searched him trying to weigh his gaze against the unfamiliar danger of the weapons on his hips. Trying to determine what sort of man she was bonded to.
Ahsoka knew both men were confused by the interaction. The title she'd given Rex, hunting partner, bhat sa'behm, was sacred and it had no equivalent outside of Togruta society.
A hunting partner was a life bonded friend. Usually someone you grew up with, someone you'd learned to read better than anyone else. Someone who could get lost in the grass and shadows of Shili but remain by your side. With no words between you and no wasted breath. Some said hunting with another for a long time bonded your souls in the next life. Ensured you would be reborn in the same body. Two halves made whole.
She supposed her and Rex were close enough to that. Though what they hunted were droids. And she wasn't convinced reincarnation was real. They still had an unmatched read on each other. She'd rather have him at her back than anyone.
Finally satisfied with peering into Rex's soul the elder turned back to her. "He is wise in this life. But his soul is young." he determined. "You are not. An old spirit in a young body." he said with a chuckle. "perfectly suited."
