Ohmygod i have an obsession w price n witchhh!!! In my head after the events of tapped price comes back w his metaphorical tail between his legs bc before witch's wards kicked him out, she looked at him!! And was like price? And he def realised that she trusted him so much in that moment liek her instinct was to look at him bc she cannot believe he would let something hurt her let something of his (gaz) hurt her, not to deal w gaz or the fae magic, yk?? He def feels as awful as he can bc she trusted him and im making my own heart ache rn
It is genuinely so rrrrrrrrrr I am feral about that one moment in particular, because you're hitting the nail on the head. She trusted him, trusted that he wouldn't bring anyone/anything to her that would hurt her, trusted that he was looking out for her, and he gets that moment of his Witch's trust being shattered before he's forced out. That single "Price?" is a "How could you let this happen?" And it fucking kills him.
Price doesn't come by to see you for days. A week passes, then another, with his nose in his work. He can't face you, can't get your wide eyed shock out of his head, the bright crimson of your blood as it dripped from your nose. He can't shake the lingering ache of your magic in his bones, still working off Gaz's accidental curse. How could one mistake shake him so badly? Nothing shakes him.
Still, when his feet carry him down the familiar path to your garden he flinches at your sunshine. The overgrown garden that once seemed so comfortable now seems to only remind him of his failure. He stays in the treeline, watches you hum as you tend to your plants. You wipe the sweat from your forehead and roll your shoulders back, alive and well.
Why can't he forget the way you'd clung to him? His heart clenches in his chest each time he remembers the way you'd sagged against him, unable to keep yourself up any longer. It was the first time in a long time your wards had bit their thorns into him, distrustful and violent. You'd said his name like a plea for answers he didn't have, and it haunted him. How could he let this happen? How could he bring pain into your house? How could he stay away so long, avoiding you like the plague? A stern reminder of his own shortcomings.
You look towards your garden gate with eyes full of longing, something soft and sad dragging your brows together. Price steels himself to make his way towards your garden, then turns and leaves. He can face the court and all its dangers, but one witch turns him into a coward.
He makes sure to get to your garden wall before you come out the next day. Somehow that feels easier. The thought that you might look out your window and choose to ignore him sticks like a knife between his ribs, but it's better than having to approach you. When you do come out you're struggling with a tea tray, keeping the door open with your hip as you maneuver the delicate set out of your house. Price pushes off the wall.
"Let me help," He offers.
"No," you snap too quickly, "No, I'm- the wards are still all out of whack." Your explanation is almost as bad as your denial. He can feel the hum of your magic, the barrier as strong and friendly to him as ever, not a hair out of place. The wards are almost apologetic, not that Price holds it against them for doing their job. No. It's you, your expression is kind but your eyes are unsure.
You carry yourself like you did ages ago, like you don't trust him. Kind, not friendly.
Price swallows down his pride, and keeps out of your way as you set up tea on your garden wall. You set a steaming mug of spiced wine in front of him. It smells like an apology. What do you have to apologize for?
"Sweetheart," Price picks up the mug, his fingers tight on the rim of it, you hum questioningly, "you wouldn't be thinkin' of sayin' sorry for something, would you?" You pause your fussing with the precarious placement of your plate of cookies.
"Of course not," You don't look at him, "but if I was-"
"You shouldn't," Price cuts you off. He sips his mug as you fidget --he's never seen you do that-- it makes his stomach twist unpleasantly. "I would've made the same call," he assures you.
"You wouldn't have let it happen in the first place," You tell him, "I shouldn't have-" You cut yourself off, staring at your tea. Shouldn't have trusted him, Price thinks.
"I should have stopped him," he tells you.
"Is that why you haven't come to see me?" Your voice is so soft, and so god damned perceptive. The way you look at him makes his heart stop, like you can see straight through him. You'd make an excellent creditor if you ever wanted a career change, leading him exactly where you want him.
"Yes," Price admits. Your guard melts away, smile softening just for him. You could take a man's breath away looking at him like that.
"Stop that," You break a piece off one of the cookies with an air of finality, "you'll just have to find some other way to make it up to me."
"I'll think of something," He murmurs into his mug. He'd spend the rest of his life making it up to you if you'd let him. For now he contents himself with your small smile, an olive branch that what's broken can be repaired. If it ever was broken in the first place.

hello! quick question, i know this is very soon after you posted the comic of young lime trying to bully mochi, and i’m sorry if a question like this has been asked before, but when mochi sees the candy bits and is able to recognize what spells they could be used in and the effects they have, is that from studying magic a lot or is it like a natural identification ability/instinct that she has? thank you!! i hope you have a good day :)
oh thats a great question actually!!!! it comes from studying!!!!
as a kid she was already trying to be a very diligent witch-to-be!! she would spend a lot of time with her mom while she was making spells, so between reading a lot of spellbooks + hanging out when her mom was making potions + wanting to be like her mom, shes good at spotting things that could be used in spells even from an early age!!
(that being said, as a kid she still messed up a lot on the right ingredients. shed bring home random items and be like "I got us spell ingredients!!" and tiramisu would be like "Oh!! Thanks sweetie!!" and didnt have the heart to tell her that whatever she brought home was some useless piece of grass or something jkldj)

Can I get some immortal witch riding hood for WIP Wednesday?
WIP Wednesday Game
YOU DEFINITELY CAN SORRY THIS ONE TOOK SO LONG
You think maybe your words were muffled in what you said, and you step back, force yourself to look up at Fay, whose eyes twinkle with malevolent merriment.  “You don’t…you don’t get it,” you say, trying to make her understand.  “He’s gonna talk with those soldier people and everything, and then I’m not supposed to see you ever, ever again.  Papa’s gonna make them change their minds!”
“Oh, my dear girl.”  Fay’s eyes still twinkle.  “Your papa is not going to do any such thing.  He might try.  Men always try those sorts of things, especially when they have as much sway as your papa seems to think he has.  But he won’t be able to keep you away from me, my child.  He doesn’t have the power.”  She smiles at you in a way that should be comforting but still happens to send a shiver down your back either way.

The joke is you have enough caffeine you can speak to electricity but after a full pot of coffee (12 cup one) and 400mg of caffeine in energy drinks, in order to talk to me you should probably be the one that can speak to electricity.

i'm too...skeptical of a person to vibe with much of the "witchcraft" adjacent spirituality that's popular nowadays
However, one of the most difficult things to understand about The Past is that for many of your ancestors, the distinction between "spiritual" and "mundane" phenomena did not exist.
and this does create problems for the idea that "science is for one set of questions, religion is for another" or at least the idea that "witchcraft" is a religion (exclusively). In The Past, philosophers speculated about the universe from the point of view that there were spiritual realities and that they weren't distinct from material realities. Before the modern idea of gravity, there was the idea that the four classical elements each had a particular nature, with earth being the heaviest and fire being the lightest. This also corresponded to a moral reality about the elements—the lighter elements were more "pure." (This is why in Dante's Inferno at the center of the Earth is Satan himself.) These people weren't assigning morals to substances in the way we now think of it. Their spiritual and moral realities were just "real" in the same way as the physical world.
People asked "From what we know of God, what can we hypothesize about the existence of extraterrestrial planets and beings, and what they are like?" And it's interesting to note that the belief in God didn't obstruct them from asking these questions; instead, it allowed them to ask these questions at a time when they didn't have naturalistic observations to go on.
But I'm getting off track—modern science is derived from things like alchemy and philosophy, and we are a bit biased here because we tend to see Aristotle and the like as precursors to "science," whereas when indigenous people maintain and pass down a collective body of naturalistic observations about their world, that's seen as some kind of cutesy pagan thing. Which is just racism.
In reality, ancient astronomers were also priests, medicine was practiced by shamans. They were people with knowledge that the average person did not possess. If there's a generic word for this type of person, it's "wise woman" or "wise man": the "three wise men" that are said to have visited Jesus were astronomers. The figures we see as "spiritual" often dealt primarily, and sometimes almost exclusively, with physical, natural phenomena. When they did deal with spiritual phenomena, it was for a lot of the same reasons that we do.
(Arguably, we have a worse understanding of some things, because we see everything in the physical world, including our own bodies, as unaffected by the meaning we assign them.)
What this means is that "witchcraft" can and should be to some extent "mundane" and evidence-based. But in my mind, "witchcraft" means possessing some kind of knowledge that is hands-on, practical, and not easily obtainable just by reading books or wikipedia, tempered by wisdom as a guide for when and how to apply it. It's also a social role; it suggests your knowledge makes you important to your community.
...
So I think an auto mechanic is technically some kind of witch.

I HAD AN IDEA FOR A REQ BUT I FORGOT IT AND I JUST REMEMBERED AGAIN
okok so shy!reader (similar to r in the poly!marauders + lily fic that i am genuinely obsessedddd with) but with barty and she just gets so flustered and blushy when he’s so loud and outspoken about his affection for her
barty would absolutely accidentally (& lovingly) torment poor shy!reader. thanks for your request! (I'm obviously currently in my Barty-girl era - I deserve jail time ur honour)
Barty Crouch Jr x fem!reader who tries hiding from Barty, much to Remus' chagrin
There were very few places in the castle that Remus could escape to from his nettlesome roommates. Thankfully, his roommates would rather be trampled by a stampede of hippogriffs than spend their precious free time in the library of all places. Unfortunately, Remus was still too easily spotted in his current hideout.
“Rem! Hide me!” He heard you squeak as you came flying around one of the stacks of books; eyes wild like a prey animal looking for their last chance at survival.
“What?” Remus asked dumbly, but it was no use.
You let out a cartoonish ‘eep!’ sound and dove underneath the table Remus was currently sat at; your head basically situated in Remus’ lap as you looked up at him desperately.
“Please.” You practically begged. “You never saw me!”
“Who’s looking for you?”
Remus' question was answered in the form of a haunting whistling weaving its way casually through the aisles and aisles of books before pausing directly in front of Remus’ chair.
“‘Lo, Junior.” Remus greeted politely, causing the Slytherin boy to narrow his eyes at him.
“Lupin.” He drawled suspiciously. “Aren’t there usually…more of you?”
Remus grimaced as he felt your nervous claws dig painfully into his calf. “Nope.” He replied an octave too high to be considered casual. “Just me.”
Barty simply offered him a disbelieving hum.
“So, Lupin,” Barty continued, chewing the vowels of Remus’ surname as if it tasted particularly rancid in his mouth. “See anything around here lately?”
Remus hummed as if pretending he was in thought. “No…nope, definitely haven’t seen anyo- anything.”
But it was too late.
“Haven’t seen anyone, hm?” Barty surmised with a wicked grin. “Not even…say…a certain witch who happens to be the object of my affections?”
You dejectedly thumped your forehead against Remus’ knee, hitting the nerve which caused his leg to kick out reflexively, thus pushing you over under the table.
“Merlin’s tits, Lupin, are you having a fit?”
“Oh my sodding Godric.” You finally grumbled from under the table, causing Barty’s face to brighten up astronomically.
It took you far longer than Remus would have liked to be sitting in the awkward semi-company with Barty to extricate yourself from under the library table, and your efforts were accompanied by an awful lot of painful sounding bumps and cursing before your - albeit rather bedraggled - form materialized beside Remus.
“There’s my girl.” Barty nearly sighed in relief; a dopey lovesick smile spreading across his face.
“Do you see it too?” You whispered to Remus conspiratorially.
“See what?”
“That look.” You whispered again, causing Remus to snort.
“The look of adoration currently decorating Junior’s face? Yeah, I see it.”
You scoffed at him. “Barty doesn’t adore me.”
“Says who!?” Barty nearly screeched, causing Remus to look around nervously at the attention the trio was quickly gathering. “I’ll kill them.”
“What?”
“Can I be excused from this conversation?” Remus groaned as he returned to his seat.
Barty quickly agreed at the same moment that you hissed no!
“Listen - my darling angel - though I think you’re really great at just about everything you do, you are absolute pants at hiding.” Barty offered you solemnly as if he were gently giving you quite devastating news.
“Maybe you’re just too good at this finding thing.” You huffed as you crossed your arms; quite petulantly, in Remus’ opinion.
“At finding you?” Barty asked as his face broke out in a Cheshire cat grin. “Always.”
Remus was certain you were going to melt through the floor below you, and - quite frankly - if it got you two away from Remus’ library sanctuary, so be it.

Yandere Dottore with a darling who is a member of the Hexenzirkel
Tumblr media
Dottore and his darling being friends when they went to the Akademiya together, close as they can be. Then when he gets expelled she refuses to speak to him. He becomes enraged and goes off to join the Fatui when Pierro asks him and she goes off to graduate from the Akademiya and starts a new life, long forgetting Zandik.
When he hears her name mentioned again it is in the city of freedom, after he defeated the drake that took the former master of the Dawn Winery, Crepus’ life. It is from a young astronomer talking to her teacher, talking about the teacher’s colleagues. Other names are thrown in that conversation, Alice, Rhinedottir, Nicole. Dottore is no fool to who the Hexenzirkel are and it does not take long for him to piece together that the person he cared for during their days in school before she turned her back on him was a member.
His darling is indeed a witch of the Hexenzirkel but also a professor at the Akademiya, just an occasional teacher for a few months at a time when she stops back home to Sumeru city during her travels. So when she finally comes back to the city after a few month long expedition with Gold, or otherwise known as Rhinedottir, she returns to the classroom to teach. Then one night when she is sitting at her desk grading papers in her classroom before returning home she is asked by another staff member that the grand sage requests her presence, but not in his office which she finds strange so she takes a small precaution of sneaking and scouting the location to make sure it is legit, a simple invisibility spell should do the trick. She goes to the spot, a far off corner of the Akademiya, a place she knew all too well for it was the spot she would study with her old friend Zandik. Once she sees no one is there she drops the spell, thinking she just missed whoever was there…
But oh how wrong she was…
She is tackled to the ground by a Fatui agent and quickly restrained and brought to her knees, literally. She had let her guard down and they had been ready to ambush her. When she was going to ask what the agent intended to do to her she heard a laugh from around the corner, turning the corner she saw a familiar figure and her heart dropped.
“Hello dear.”
Perhaps she should have stayed with Rhinedottir on their expedition a bit longer.

During the second or first century BCE, a woman pretended to be able to control the moon. This was Aglaonice, who is regarded by some as the first known female astronomer.
She’s mentioned in the writings of Plutarch and the scholia to Apollonius of Rhodes and lived in Thessaly, Greece. Being “skilled in astronomy”, Aglaonice used her knowledge to predict eclipses and make people believe she caused the moon to disappear.
According to Plutarch:
“Thoroughly acquainted with the periods of the full moon and when it is subject to eclipse, and, knowing beforehand the time when the moon was due to be overtaken by the earth’s shadow, imposed upon the women, and made all believe she was drawing the moon down.”
The scholia adds that Aglaonice lost a close relation as a punishment for having angered the moon goddess.
Interestingly, Thessaly is associated with women skilled in astronomy and occult practices. Several female astrologers from the third to first centuries BCE were for instance known as “The Witches of Thessaly”. These women were said to study the movements of the moon and trick people into believing that they caused lunar eclipses.
In Plato's Gorgias, Socrates mentions the "Thessalian enchantresses who, as they say, bring down the moon from heaven at the risk of their own destruction."
Today, a crater on Venus bears Aglaonice’s name.
Feel free to check out my Ko-Fi if you like what I do! Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Feeling sappy, so let's go with ♥️ & ♠️ for Helena regarding the TWST relationship ask <3
♥️ - ACE TRAPPOLA
Tumblr media
lel thanks for the ask on helena, it’s forcing me to actually think about her some
broadly speaking, helena and ace get along just fine. she’s shy and a bit of a nervous wreck, but she’s sweet and approachable once ace establishes himself as a frequent friendly face at ramshackle. ace thinks she’s cute in a puppy-dog type of way, though that doesn’t stop him from occasionally involving her in his antics from time to time.
beyond being able to chat casually, though, i haven’t been able to come up with anything beyond that. they’re not terribly close, but they don’t have issue being left alone with each other either. helena finds ace to be fun and he’s able to coax out a snarky streak in her she normally isn’t comfortable sharing— even if it isn’t anywhere near as mean-spirited as his.
the big thing that does connect them however is ace VERY QUICKLY catching onto helena’s astronomically massive crush on deuce. while he insists he’s not got a romantic bone in his body, he finds it funny, so he’s not above butting in to give helena a nudge.
especially since he suspects the feelings aren’t one-sided—
♠️ - DEUCE SPADE
Tumblr media
admittedly these two are still a major wip as im still figuring out just how i wanna go about them
but i wanna say the main theme these two have going on and the main thing that really makes them gravitate towards each other is that they both acknowledge each other’s drive to become better people. and what really makes them click is that they both also begin to hold each other accountable for certain viewpoints of themselves that aren’t helping them achieve that betterment.
deuce’s whole goal is to become a model student and while helena fully believes he’ll be able to achieve that someday, she at some point muses that the reason why deuce is having such a rough go at is is because he thinks the only way he’ll be able to is if he waters down who he is. she sees how much pressure he puts into becoming this imagined “perfect model student,” something he thinks is the direct opposite to who he is naturally.
helena has much respect for deuce. he’s a hard-worker, persistent, and deeply earnest. he dislikes his hot-bloodedness, but helena admires how passionate he is. she wants him to follow his dream of making something of himself— but she believes the answer isn’t to change who he is to the very core of his being, but rather strive to be the best version of himself. he HAS amazing qualities already, he just hasn’t been able to recognize them within himself just yet.
this isn’t all that different from what deuce thinks of helena. he thinks helena is far braver than she believes herself to be. he aware of how little she thinks of herself and how she preemptively beats herself up for things she can’t control, but he also sees her efforts in trying to counteract these thoughts. it’s difficult and she stumbles often, but there hasn’t been a time where she hasn’t gotten back up yet either. helena doesn’t take the easy road and deuce finds that incredibly inspiring. simply put, he thinks she’s one hell of a tough girl. he doesn’t know how to help helena see her the way he does, but it doesn’t stop him from trying.

Sabbats
Witches, particularly those who follow modern Pagan or Wiccan traditions, often celebrate a series of holidays, known as Sabbats, that are based on the cycles of the seasons and nature. These holidays are divided into two categories: the Greater Sabbats, which are often associated with the equinoxes and solstices, and the Lesser Sabbats, which mark the points between the equinoxes and solstices. Here's an overview of the eight major witchcraft holidays:
1. Samhain (pronounced SOW-IN or SAH-WIN): Celebrated on October 31st (Northern Hemisphere) or May 1st (Southern Hemisphere). Samhain marks the beginning of the Witches' Wheel of the Year. It's a time to honor the dead, reflect on the past, and prepare for the winter months.
2. Yule (pronounced YOOL): Celebrated around the winter solstice (usually December 20th-23rd for Northern Hemisphere, or June 20th-23rd Southern Hemisphere), Yule is a festival of light and rebirth. It's a time to celebrate the return of the sun's strength and the lengthening of days.
3. Imbolc (pronounced IM-BULK or IM-BULG): Celebrated around February 1st-2nd (Northern Hemisphere) or August 1st-2nd (Southern Hemisphere). Imbolc marks the first signs of spring. It's a time to honor the goddess Brigid and welcome the returning life in nature.
4. Ostara (pronounced OST-AR-A): Celebrated around the spring equinox (usually March 20th-23rd for NH, or September 20th-23rd SH), Ostara is a celebration of balance and the arrival of spring. It's a time to honor the goddess Eostre and the fertility of the land.
5. Beltane (pronounced BELL-TAIN): Celebrated on May 1st (NH) or October 1st (SH). Beltane marks the peak of spring and the beginning of summer. It's a time to celebrate fertility, love, and the union of the god and goddess.
6. Litha (pronunced LEE-THA): Celebrated around the summer solstice (usually June 20th-23rd NH, or December 20th-23rd SH). Litha is a time of maximum light and the celebration of the sun's power.
7. Lughnasadh (pronounced LOO-NAH-SA, also called Lammas, pronounced LAH-MUS): Celebrated around August 1st (NH), or February 1st (SH). Lughnasadh is the first of the three harvest festivals. It's a time to give thanks for the first fruits of the harvest.
8. Mabon (pronunced MAH-BON) : Celebrated around the autumn equinox (usually September 20th-23rd NH, March 20th-23rd SH). Mabon is a time of balance and the second harvest festival. It's a time to give thanks for the abundance of the Earth.
These holidays are often celebrated with rituals, feasts, and various customs, including the crafting of seasonal decorations and the lighting of bonfires or candles. It's important to note that the specific dates for these holidays can vary slightly depending on tradition and location, as they are often calculated based on astronomical events.

The Higher Self in Astrology🦋💫
Tumblr media
The higher self is the spiritual nature of who we are and the part of us that is connected to divinity.
In theory it is ever present, and we can access it most easily through our individual spiritual experiences.
When we are out of alignment with our higher self, life seems to be a never-ending struggle and challenges arise left and right.
How does Astrology help in this sense?
By looking at the planets and areas in your chart that govern the higher self, you can discern how to work the positive, beneficial energies. This ultimately helps bring about and manifest your most favorable outcomes and live as your highest and most authentic self.
In Mat Auryn's book "Psychic Witch", he explains that "The Higher Self is connected to the Upper World...the Collective Unconscious, and the realms of cosmic and divine forces."
In Astrology, the planets connected to the Higher Self would include the Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune.
Other areas the higher self may manifest include the nodes, the 9th house and the 12th house.
Prominence indicators: chart ruler, conjunctions, transiting over natal planets and/or angles, domicile or in an exalted sign/house
Read below about the astrological energies of the higher self and how they may manifest for you:
The Moon🌙
Themes of expression: Healing, Peace, Intuition & Insight, Femininity, Flow, Creativity
A prominent Moon placement indicates that your emotions serve as a backdrop for your experiences.
Characteristics:
Heightened intuition.
More receptive to intuitive guidance.
Compassionate and understanding.
Connecting with others on a deeper level.
Challenges:
Moody and easily overcome by emotions.
Overly sensitive.
Susceptible to emotional manipulation.
How to work with the energy: Invest time in self-understanding through therapy or meditation. Express your emotions often and with care. Seek to form deeper connections with those you value and trust.
Jupiter💫
Themes of expression: Expansion, Luck, Abundance, Divine Guidance, Wisdom, Growth, Spirituality
A prominent Jupiter indicates a focus on expansion and growth.
Fun fact: Jupiter has protected Earth from meteors/asteroids from the Kuiper belt for millions of years, so astronomically Jupiter is quite literally a great benefic
Characteristics:
Expanded worldview.
Spiritual wisdom.
Manifests success easier.
Often considered lucky by nature.
Ability to be of great service to others.
Challenges:
Indulgence & excess.
Egotistical and overly focused on materialism.
Energy can be overwhelming when not used for the greater good.
How to work with the energy: Practice generosity and give back when able to--Jupiter loves positive contribution. Trust inner guidance, especially in times of need. Maintain a positive and optimistic mindset and energy.
Uranus💥
Themes of expression: Divine Spark of Understanding, Divine Insights, Brilliance, Advancement, Freedom, Innovation
